Chapter ?: My Transformation

So did the Overlord speak his commandments…
"Humanity are my beloved children" said he,
"And Humans shall not kill other Humans…"
"Humans shall not surpass Humanity…"
"Humans shall not become…Agito…"

Kotomine Church, a solitary building located on a hill on the outskirts of the city. Despite having lived in Fuyuki for all his life (as far as he knew) Shirou had never come out this far before tonight. Back when he was alive Kiritsugu had actively forbidden him from ever coming out here.

This had always confused him, Kiritsugu had never given him a reason as to why even when pressed on the issue. It had left his younger self wondering as to what was so bad about this place that his late father instructed him to stay away.

Now here he was, standing before the wrought iron gates attached to the fence that surrounded the location, gazing up at the lonely building something deep within him was telling Shirou to get as far away from this place as possible.

The frown that had etched itself into Shirou's face since finding himself in his mess deepened, tonight had been a crazy one.

Looking up at the church he couldn't help but recall the events that had led him here. First and foremost being recalling coming too in the schoolyard of Homurahaha Academy, clad in an armored suit that he had no memory of donning, recalling the fear and confusion that had taken hold at the idea that in his altered state that he might have hurt someone.

Worse still had been seeing Tohsaka standing behind the man that'd later learn was Archer, a look of apprehension on her face, seeing her had caused him to panic, his mind flooded with thoughts of what if he had harmed her?

Second was what had happened when he'd gotten home where things had only escalated, he'd barely stumbled inside when Lancer had shown up again, the sear welding Servant's sudden appearance causing that painful sensation to flare up again, demanding to be released.

Despite this Shirou managed to resist it, fight back against it, something that seemed to have frustrated the blue clad spearman greatly, demanding that Shirou transform so they could continue a fight that they'd supposedly had earlier that evening as well as him supposedly breaking his spear, something that Shirou couldn't recall.

After a brief attempt to engage Lancer using his own meagre Magecraft, one that had ended disastrously, Shirou did the only thing run which had led to Lancer chasing him through the corridors of the estate before both of them ended up outside where Lancer had sent Shirou flying that he'd crashed through the door to the shed that was connected to the grounds of the estate.

It was only there, lying on the floor of that shed, when a magic circle that had been hidden under boxes containing various junk unexpectedly activated and from it Saber had emerged, her sudden appearance also causing the sensation to finally vanish.

From there the following events, Saber's brief battle with Lancer before he retreated and Tohsaka and Archer's appearance had caused Shirou to forget about his fears over what had occurred to him earlier as Tohsaka revealed to him the existence of a secret Tournament called the Holy Grail War, a form of ritualistic combat fought between seven chosen Magi of which he'd been chosen to take part in.

"Emiya," the sound of Tohsaka's voice was heard, snapping him out of his head space, "Emiya, you're spacing out, you still with us?"

"Y…yeah, yeah, I was just…" Shirou cut himself off, shaking his head before turning to look over at her. "Y'know never mind. Let's get this over with."

Rin said nothing, regarded him for a moment before she pushed open the iron gates and began walking towards the church.

Taking a deep breath Shirou then turned his attention towards Saber, the blond haired Servant clad in a bright yellow raincoat to cover up her battledress and armor. "Shall we go in Saber?" He asked her.

Saber didn't answer him at first, fixing her gaze upon the building before looking away. "If it's alright with you Shirou I shall wait for you out here." Saber told him as she turned away from him and situated herself in front of the gate. "I think it's best that I remain here."

"Oh, ok then." Shirou replied, "Guess I'll see you once we're done here."

Stepping through the gate he began walking towards the church, quickly catching up with Rin. "Why do you think Saber's not coming in with us?" he asked his companion.

Rin shrugged. "As per the rules of the Grail War this church is considered neutral ground, as such none of the Masters are allowed to engage in hostilities while on this soil and the use of familiars to observe this place is forbidden," She told him, "So needless to say Servants aren't allowed either."

She then shot a glance over towards Saber who stood guard at the gate. "Then again maybe she's got history with the fake priest," She added, "She did say she's been summoned before so maybe she's got beef with him. Given how he is, it wouldn't surprise me."

"Hmm," Shirou responded as he took this information in, "So, the arbiter, what's he like?"

"He's an insufferable asshat," Rin said immediately, a look of disgust on her face. "That being said he did take in and raise me after my parents passed, overseeing my studies and training in Magecraft."

"Your Magecraft," Shirou said, a surprised look on his face, "But to do that he'd have to be a Mage!"

"Bingo," Rin said as she pushed open the doors before entering inside, "He's a genuine false priest."

Following in after her Shirou suddenly felt ill at ease as he stepped inside, finding himself in a darkened and empty hall, most of the space taken up by three rows of pews located before an altar at the far end, the air within the room heavy and unnerving. The feeling to get as far away from this place as he could only intensified.

Standing in front of the altar stood a man with dirty brown hard, clad in priest's robes, his back turned to the pair.

"It's been some time Rin, I was wondering if you'd ever accept my offer to meet with me." The man said, as he slowly began to turn and face them. "And it seems that you've brought someone with you, may I be so bold and assume that this one is the seventh Master?"

Taking a deep breath Shirou approached the man as he continued talking. "Welcome young man. My name is Kotomine Kirei." The man identified as Kirei introduced himself. "And who might you be, or would you prefer to be referred to as Seventh Master?"

Shirou narrowed his eyes; despite having just met the man named Kotomine Kirei he already disliked him. He could see why Tohsaka chose not to associate with him unless absolutely necessary.

"My name is Shirou," Shirou replied hesitantly. "Emiya Shirou."

For a moment Kirei was taken aback, as if he'd seen a ghost. "Emiya…" He exclaimed. Quickly he composed himself and let out a small chuckle. "And I take it that you have made a pact with the Saber Servant then?"

"That's right." Shirou said bluntly. "But I have to admit to not knowing a whole lot about this Holy Grail War business. My Magecraft isn't exactly anything all that special and not exactly useful in a fight. It's probably best to get someone else more qualified to take part in whatever it is you've got going on here."

While not a lie, his Magecraft wasn't the reason for Shirou's concern. That power inside of him, he didn't know what it was or where exactly it had come from, he could tell that it was strong, stronger than his Magecraft. It could probably handle just about anything thrown at him.

Thing was he wasn't sure if he could control it. Worst still, if he were to simply give himself over could he really trust it? What if he hurt someone? What if he did worse?

It was one thing to harm someone of his own volition, as uncomfortable as it was to think about it would at least have been his choice, but to injure someone or possibly worse while not being in control of his actions, he wasn't sure if he'd be able to live with himself.

"Is that so," Kirei muttered, the sound of the priest's voice snapping Shirou out of his self loathing, "This is serious indeed."

"Y'see he's completely ignorant Kirei." Rin spoke up, her tone disapproving. "You're going to have to explain everything from the beginning."

"Very well," Kirei replied easily. "This is the first time you've sought my assistance, after all."

Rin turned away at that comment, not wishing to subject herself to the smug look that her guardian was giving her, her reaction only serving to assume the man further.

Taking a moment more to savor Rin's expression, Kirei turned his attention back to Shirou. "I regret to inform you, Emiya Shirou, that what you ask is quite impossible." He told the rust haired teen, "Once appointed, the status of Master cannot be yielded to another. It is a trial that the chosen must bear and must be seen through to the end. That is what it means to be part of the Holy Grail War."

"You and Tohsaka keep saying that." Shirou retorted. "You can't mean thee Holy Grail, the one from the Bible, I mean isn't that's just a myth."

"A non-believer I see, while you're free to believe what you wish, I can assure you that the Grail that appears in this town is indeed the genuine article," Kirei replied. "The mere fact that you were able to call forth Saber and form a pact with her is proof alone of its existence and the power that it possesses."

"But if that's true then fight over it?" Shirou inquired, "If it really has the power to grant wishes then why not allow everyone to use it?"

"Such a childish fantasy. You really think if it were available to all there wouldn't be conflict nor that there'd be those who'd convert its power for themselves." Kirei replied, his tone condescending. "Besides it is not we who made the rule that only one can claim ownership of the Grail. Rather it was the Holy Grail itself who decreed it and by its will only the Master that proves himself worthy can claim ownership. That is the Holy Grail War."

"All the same, this just seems so wrong." Shirou said. "I don't see why seven strangers have to kill each other over something like this."

"Hold on, Emiya-kun," Rin interjected. "We don't necessarily have to kill each other."

"Don't be so naïve." Kirei said in response, his tone harsh. "The battle of the Holy Grail is a fight to the death."

"You hush, Kirei!" Rin snapped, glaring at the man before turning her attention back to Shirou. "Listen, Emiya, the Holy Grail in this city is a spiritual object, meaning that people like you and me can't touch it; only spiritual beings like Servants can. The point of the Holy Grail War is to eliminate the other Servants and have your own be the only one left standing, so killing the other Master's isn't necessary for you to win."

"So naive…" Kirei said, shaking his head in a disappointed manner, before focusing on Shirou again. "Tell me Emiya Shirou, do you think you yourself capable of defeating a Servant?"

"What?" Shirou replied, "What do you mean?"

"Servants are legendary figures that have transcended human limits, making them very difficult to defeat, even for other Servants," Kirei went on. "So, if that's the case, what in your opinion would be the best strategy to win?"

Shirou didn't answer him, he understood well enough just how strong Servants were, they were way beyond what he could handle with his own meagre Magecraft.

Maybe with that strange power he could stand a chance but since he didn't trust it he would have to rely on Saber to deal with any opponents they ran into, something that didn't sit right with him.

No matter how he wanted to dispute it there appeared to be only one logical solution open to him, a single simple strategy for dealing with an opponent that he had no hope of defeating on his own and as much as he hated it…

"…the best strategy would be by taking out the enemy Servant's Master." Shirou answered the priest, feeling disgusted with himself for saying that.

"Precisely," Kirei nodded. "Even if a Master were to lose their Servant they still possess their rights as a Master as long as their Command Seals exist. In other words, it's possible for a Serventless Master and a Masterless Servant to make a pact with each other and rejoin the ritual. It is for this very reason that Masters seek to kill other Masters."

"Ok then, if that's the case what if it were to use up my last two Command Seals right now?" Shirou asked, holding up his left hand. "Saber has to obey any order I give her using them right?"

Both Rin and Kirei were surprised by the rust haired teens' unexpected question. The ebony haired heiress staring at him in disbelief. Was he serious, would he really throw away his Command Seals so easily?

Kirei on the other hand, getting over his initial surprise at Shirou's comment, a look of amusement appeared on his face.

"You catch on rather quickly. The moment your last Command Seal is spent the pact between you and Saber will be severed and your role as Master is concluded." He said as he slowly ambled between the pews, "And while you're within your rights to do so, I can't think of any respectable Magus that would. Anyone who would do such a thing would either be a fool or a coward, unworthy of the honor presented to them."

Shirou's frown twisted itself into a scowl at the man's tone.

"However, if that is indeed your decision, then so be it. Use your Command Seals on any frivolous thing you can think of and break your pact with Saber." Kirei went on, chuckling a little at Shirou's agitation. "As arbiter, part of my role is to offer shelter to those Masters who have been retired. You shall be safe here until the battles conclude."

"No thanks." Shirou fired back. "Why exactly would I need your protection anyway?"

"My role here is to observe the events of each new Holy Grail War." Kirei replied. "The role of overseer comes with many duties, safeguarding defeated Masters is one of them."

"H…hang on," Shirou said, "You said 'each new war'. This isn't the first time it's happened?"

"Correct, this will be the fifth time the ritual has been performed. The previous one was ten years ago, so this is the shortest cycle yet." Kirei said loftily. "With each installment, the Holy Grail War has grown ever more brutal. Driven by their own desires and bloodlust, some Masters have even gone so far as to commit acts of indiscriminate slaughter, all for a chance of claiming the prize as their own."

"And you're fine with just sitting back and letting it happen?" Shirou snapped heatedly, glaring at the brown haired priest. "What if the Mage that wins the Grail is an evil bastard, what happens then?"

"That is not my place to decide who is worthy of winning the Grail, nor to question their motives. I am an observer and mediator, nothing more." Kirei replied in a matter-of-fact tone, "The Holy Grail is, after all, an omnipotent wish-granting chalice. If you're so concerned about it falling into undesirable hands then perhaps you should fight and claim the Grail for yourself, that is if you chose not to relinquish your rights as a Master here and now."

"Wrong…wrong…This is all wrong…" Shirou muttered to himself as he absorbed this new information. With every passing second he was hating the mess he found himself in more and more.

"If you still have no desire to participate then can I also assume that you also don't care about any potential misery and suffering caused as a result of the winner's actions." Kirei said, seeing the conflict on Shirou's face and clearly amused by it. "Even if the tragedy of ten years ago were to repeat itself?"

"T…ten years ago?" Shriou replied, confused by the man's words.

"I speak of course of the Great Fuyuki fire." Kirei said plainly. "The disaster that claimed the lives of over 500 people was a consequence brought about by the climax of the Fourth Holy Grail War, all because of the Master that got his hands on the Grail and the wish that he made."

Shirou couldn't breathe, his legs gave out beneath him as he leaned against one of the pews to support himself. In that moment he was no longer standing in that empty church with Tohsaka and the priest, he found himself back on the night of the fire.

The feel of the burning air searing at his skin, the putrid smell of burning materials and over cooked meat assaulting his nose. His lungs and throat burning with hot air, noxious fumes and ashes. Worse of all was the noise, the sounds of screams and wailing filling his ears. People calling out in a desperate attempt to locate loved ones, cries for help and deliverance that went unanswered. Wailings of dead and dying.

All of this, all of it brought about because of one man, the man who had gotten his hands on the Holy Grail.

Just as quickly as that vision of Hell came it vanished and Shirou was violently shunted back to the present when for the third time that night that painfully loud buzzing noise that he'd experienced many times before blacking out echoed in his head for a third time that night accompanied by a powerful sensation that seemed to emanate from his midsection.

'N…no, no, not again…' Shirou grimaced as one of his hands clutched the side of his head while the other tightened its grip on the pew he was using to support himself, 'Not here…not now…'

"Emiya!" Rin exclaimed, sounding concerned as she watched as clutching the side of his head. "Emiya, what's wrong?"

Even Kirei was looking at him, the brown haired man had one of his eyebrows cocked as he observed the sight before him.

"I…I…" Shirou gasped as he struggled back to his feet, "I need to go…"

Turning on his heel he then bolted towards the churches main doors, leaving both Rin and Kirei standing there, a perplexed look on both of their faces as they watched him leave, Rin quickly following after him. Unbeknownst to Shirou, he wasn't the only one who'd had that high pitched noise ringing in their head.

Outside Saber had continued her vigil before the church's gates, her emerald green eyes peeled for any potential threat to those inside of the building when all of a sudden the same ear splitting noise suddenly resonated in her head, causing her to drop down onto one knee as she pressed her hands clutching at the side of her head.

"This…this noise, Saber groaned, wincing in pain as she tried to make sense as to what was happening, "What is it?"

Desperate to block the painful noise out, Saber barely noticed as a group of figures emerged from the woods that surrounded the nearby area.

Breathing deeply the Servant of the Sword steeled herself as she picked herself up off the ground, moments later her wind coated weapon appeared in her hands as she prepared to engage this mysterious enemy.

His heart beating painfully fast against his chest as Shirou exited the church, running as fast as he could towards the properties gates, so fixated on that he didn't register that Saber was no longer standing guard where he'd last seen her, headed towards the wooded area that covered a large portion of the area across the road, the sound of battle could be heard coming from within.

Entering the woods the sounds of fighting grew louder with each step he took, before long it he was met by the sight of Saber engaging with a pair of opponents, both of whom were humanoid in appearance, all except for one detail, both of them sporting a head that resembled a big cat.

"S…Saber…" He uttered, watching as the blond Saber Servant swung her wind coated weapon at her two feline headed Unknown, both of whom quickly fell back to avoid being slashed.

Hearing her Master's voice Saber glanced over in her direction, her sword held in a defensive manner as both of her opponents glared menacingly at her. "Shirou, keep back." She instructed him. "Whatever these creatures are, they are most dangerous."

Just then the sound of hurried footsteps was heard, Rin quickly appearing at Shirou's side, "Damnit, not these things again." The ebony haired heiress cursed as she saw the two cat headed creatures, both of whom let out a low sounding growl. "Be careful Saber, whatever these things are they're not to be underestimated."

"Rin, you've encountered these creatures before?" Saber said, surprised at her familiarity with these creatures, "What exactly are they?"

"I don't know, there's no reference to them in my family's collection." Rin replied, "What I can say is that they're tough to deal with and, based on what I've seen, are responsible for the peculiar murders that have taken place across the city. Not only that one of these things gave Archer trouble."

"You're telling me that one of these creatures was able to match a Heroic Spirit in battle?" Saber exclaimed, shocked by what Rin had just told her.

Steeling herself the Servant of the Sword turned her gaze on the duo of opponents, fixing them with a stern look. "Regardless, you and Shirou should stay back. Leave these creatures to me." She said in a tone of absolute authority. "Come beasts, if you are regardless of what you are, if you've indeed brought harm to the people of this city then I shall bring about justice with my sword…"

Tensing up, Saber then launched herself towards the pair of catlike beings, cleaving the air as she brought her sword down in an attempt to slash at the both of them only to be met by empty air as both of them managed to avoid her attempt.

The second cat headed creature stayed back, all of a sudden glowing halo appeared above its head, the hilt of a sword emerging from which the beastman pulled out a sword with a curved blade, weapon in hand it then lunged towards Saber, letting out a fierce sounding growl as it did so, slashing at her with its blade, its attempt failing short as the blond Servant managed to intercept its weapon with her own.

From his position Shirou watched on in trepidation as he watched as Saber tried her best to engage the two strange creatures.

From everything that he'd been told by both Tohsaka and Kotomine we knew Saber was strong, she was a legendary warrior that had had her story inscribed in legend, and yet whatever these creatures were they looked like she was having a hard time with them.

He couldn't fault her, Tohsaka had pretty clear his inadequacies as both a Magus and Master. If Saber was having trouble the problem was most likely because of him. If this kept up Saber was going to lose, she'd end up getting hurt. Or worse….

All the while that sensation that was ringing in his head and abdomen was growing more intense.

What should he do, what could he do? When it came to Magecraft he was thoroughly outclassed by both Tohsaka and his own meagre fighting skills didn't hold a candle to either Saber or Archer (wherever that smug bastard happened to be).

All of a sudden the world around him was gone in an instant, that scene on that lonely hill on that cold winter's night swallowed up by a pitch black void, Emiya Shirou finding himself in a world where nothing existed except for himself.

No, that was wrong.

Standing there before him stood a figure, their firm clad in a black bodysuit with gold and silver armor and a helmet covering their whole head, their back turned towards the rust haired teen.

Slowly they turned around to face him, gazing at Shirou through the twin red lenses of the helmet that covered their head.

Time in that darkened void seemed to stand still as both Shirou and the armor clad warrior stared at one another, neither of them making a sound when suddenly the armored figure reached out a hand towards him, placing a hand on Shirou's chest.

Surprised by this, Shirou looked up into the twin red lenses of the figure's helmeted head, the silent figure giving him a simple nod of their head.

In an instant, Shirou found himself back in the woods located near Kotomine Church, the sounds of Saber engaging the two cat headed creatures ringing throughout the area.

"S…Saber…" He muttered to himself, surprised at the sight that greeted him. His Servant, she was fighting to protect him while he'd been spacing out.

While he wasn't entirely sure as to what was going on, why he had this power or where it had come from, but right now none of that mattered. He couldn't afford to be scared any more, regardless of what this power was or where it had come from, it was his and he'd use it, he'd use it to protect everyone.

Shirou lowered his right arm to his waist before thrusting it forward before curling it back towards his chest and in a flash of golden light that emanated from his waist the ornate looking belt with the black gem in its center appeared, accompanied by the pulsing sound which caught everyone's attention.

"H…huh…" Rin exclaimed, turning her head in the direction in which the pulsing sound was coming from, her eyes widening when she noticed the belt around Shirou's waist, "Wait, that belt…"

"Shirou…" Saber said, taken aback by what she was seeing.

Taking a deep breath Shirou exhaled loudly as he slowly extended his arm in front of him again, with his fingers curled. "HENSHIN…" Shirou cried out as he slapped his hands on the two protrusions attached to the side of the belt straps.

The moment these words left his mouth, the air around Shirou's body began to shimmer and distort as the golden light that emanated from the stone located at the center of his belt enveloped before it quickly diminished to reveal him now clad in the armor of Agito.

"N…no way," Rin exclaimed, "Agito…Emiya is Agito!"

"Agito?" Saber muttered, the blond haired swordswoman unsure of what to make of the sight of the armored suit that her Master was now adorned in. This was unlike anything that she'd experienced in her previous life.

Both the cat headed creatures snarled in response to seeing the newly transformed Rider, one of them moving in to engage him.

Just as the second was also about to move in as well it was quickly halted by Saber who stepped in front of it, fixing it with a stern look. "I may not fully comprehend what is transpiring here but I cannot allow you to gang up on my Master," She told it, readying her sword as she prepared to engage it, "Your opponent is me."

Facing down one of the cat headed creatures, Agito took a deep breath as he balled up his fists before moving to meet his opponent, aiming a punch at it only for the cat creature to duck out of the way to avoid it.

The cat man then lashed out at him, striking the black and gold Rider in the chest, knocking him backwards a few steps before he could catch himself.

Placing his hand on the right protrusion on his belt, the familiar revving noise once more filled the air before all of a sudden the gem stone embedded in the belt suddenly turned red and the hilt of a sword emerged from it.

Ducking under his opponents attempts to slash at him, Agito took a few steps back, grasping the swords hilt as he did so and pulled it free revealing the Flame Saber, a sword with a long curved blade, part of the weapons crossguard similar in design to the golden horns attached to his helmet shaped as well as sporting a circular blue gemstone set into it.

The air around him shimmered momentarily before it dissipated to reveal his transformation into Agito Flame Form. The gold sections of his chest plate now and armor on his right arm now ruby red, his right shoulder pad was also red and sported a golden band that had extended itself into a pointed spike.

Taking a deep breath, Agito grasped the hilt of his new weapon before moving in to engage his opponent, attempting to slash at it however his opponent was able to avoid each of his attempts.

Nearby Rin watched as both Agito and Saber engaged the pair of strange cat men, getting over her initial surprise at discovering that Emiya Shirou had been the mysterious armored warrior known as Agito she couldn't help but notice that he wasn't fighting as well as he had been.

Honestly, compared to the silent, methodical way he'd fought during her first encounter with him as well as how he engaged Lancer earlier that evening it honestly felt as if Emiya had no idea what he was doing.

Just then a faint buzzing noise was heard, gradually growing louder as a pair of spinning disks suddenly emerged from the treeline, striking the cat man across the back, causing it to snarl in pain as they flew off and were snatched out of the air by Archer who appeared in a flash of red.

"A…Archer!" Agito exclaimed, surprised to see that the red clad Servant was helping him.

"So Emiya Shirou, I've got to admit that I didn't expect you to turn out to be Agito." The Servant of the Bow commented, "I must say judging by your performance so far, I'm far from impressed. If this is the best effort that you can muster, perhaps it would be better for you to step back and leave this to someone who knows how to fight."

Agito glared at Archer from beneath his helmet, although he couldn't explain why something about this man seemed to rub him the wrong way.

He wasn't given much time to dwell on this however as the cat headed creature quickly recovered from being struck across the back, turning its attention towards Archer. Above its head a glowing halo appeared grabbing a pair of swords with slightly curved blades that emerged from it.

Now armed the cat creatures moved it to engage Archer, slicing at him with one of its bladed weapons, the tanned skinned Servant managing to side step out of the way of its attempt before utilizing one of his own swords to block its follow up slash at him.

"Hey," Agito spoke up, sounding slightly flustered, "Case you forgot, you're fighting me."

He then rushed in to engage the cat man again, sword at the ready as he attempted to bring the blade down on his opponent, the strange creature managing to use one of its own swords to intercept his attempt.

Noticing that it was momentarily distracted, Archer aimed one of his swords at the unknown creature, the blade slicing into its side earning him a pain filled cry.

Growling, the cat man then turned its attention towards Archer, glaring at the Counter Guardian hatefully which in turn allowed Agito a chance to deliver a vicious slash to its back, the tip of his sword leaving behind a nasty looking gash as it sliced into its flesh.

Gripping his Flame Saber, the armored warrior charged forward, slashing at the cat man with his sword

Close by Tohsaka Rin continued to monitor the situation, doing her best to avoid attracting the attention of both cat headed creatures towards herself. Noticing that the strange creatures attention was focused solely on Agito and Archer she reached into the her pocket of her coat and produced one of her gemstones, muttering a string of barely legible words under her breath that resulted in a light to appear from within in it, the Tohsaka heiress then hurled the object at the ground near the cat man's feet.

"Emiya, Archer," She called out, getting the attention of both Agito, the tanned skinned Servant and the cat man, "Cover your eyes."

The three of them noticed the gem stone on the ground, the light within it rapidly pulsing before a blinding flash of light erupted from inside of it, both Archer and Agito barely managing to avert their gaze in time while

As the creature stumbled around blindly a loud SHING filled the air as the additional horns on Agito's helmet fanned outwards, in addition additional horns spread out from the crossguard of his Flame Saber fanned out in a similar manner as the glowing symbol of Agito appeared beneath his feet before being absorbed, the glowing energy channelled into the blade of his sword which suddenly became engulfed in flames

His gaze locked upon his opponent, Agito lunged forward, delivering a powerful slash across the cat man's chest before following it up with a second, leaving behind a glowing X-shaped wound on its chest, using the momentum of the slash to turn away from his opponent, holding his sword out in front of him.

Stumbling backwards a few steps, a halo of light appeared above the cat man's heads, with a final cry the halo's light intensified before it was engulfed in a large explosion, leaving behind only a burning patch on the grass as proof of its existence.

No sooner had the fins on both Agito's helmet and the crossguard of his sword retracted themselves, a SHING ringing out as they did so.

With one of the two Kaijin defeated the sound of fighting caught Agito's attention and glancing over he saw that Saber was still engaged against the other cat headed Unknown, the blond haired swordswoman wearing a stern look on her face as her sword collided with her opponents again and again.

"Saber…" Agito muttered to himself, "Hold on…"

Dashing forward, once he was close enough Agito swung his Flame Saber at the remaining Unknown, the cat headed Kaijin side stepping out of the way to avoid it before quickly backing off as the red and black Rider attempted to slash at it again.

"Saber, are you alright?" Agito asked the blond Swordswoman.

"You need not concern yourself; I assure you I am more than capable of handling this creature." Saber told him as she gripped her wind encased sword in readiness, "Still, your assistance in dealing with it is much appreciated."

"That being said I'd very much appreciate an explanation of this ability of yours," She continued, "I have never seen such a form of sorcery before and my former court included one of the most renowned Mages of the age."

"To be honest I'd like to know that myself." Agito replied, his words resulting in Saber cocking one of her eyebrows in response to his comment.

Before she could say anything in response the cat headed Unknown lunged at the two of them, attempting to slash at them with its blade, both Agito and Saber falling back out of its reach.

"I suggest that it's best if we save this discussion for later," Saber told her Master, "We can discuss this further once the enemy has been dealt with."

"Yeah, good call." Agito replied before both he and Saber moved in to engage the Cat Unknown, both of them swinging their respective swords at the Kaijin.

Off to the side both Rin and Archer watched as both Saber and her Master engaged the remaining Unknown, the two of them observing as the Kamen Rider and former King attempted to cut it down only for their opponent to either dodge out of the way or block their respective sword with its own.

"Archer, far be it from me to get involved in other people's business, that being said I'd rather not spend all night in the freezing cold." Rin told the tanned skinned Servant who stood beside her, "Maybe you should lend them a hand so we can wrap this up already."

"Heh, if that is your order Master…" Archer replied, conjuring up a new pair of Kanshou and Byakuya which he then tossed towards the Cat Unknown, his twin swords as they spun like a pair of disks as they sliced through the air towards their target, the first wheezing past its head getting its attention allowing the second to knock the sword out of its hand.

Seeing that their opponent was now disarmed both Agito and Saber slashed at the Unknown, their swords slashing it across the chest, the force behind the swing of their swords before following this up by delivering a kick to its chest, knocking it backwards.

As the Unknown stumbled back the air around Agito all of a sudden shimmered as he returned to Ground Form, his sword vanishing as the red parts of his armor changed back to gold and black.

SHING!

Once again the additional horns on the crest of Agito's helmet fanned out and the glowing symbol of Agito appeared beneath the black and gold warrior's feet as he assumed his wide legged stance, bringing his left hand to his waist while extending his right hand out in front of him.

"Shirou…?" Saber said, managing to keep her features neutral despite her surprise at seeing the glowing symbol beneath her Master's feet and watched as he assumed his stance.

The energy absorbed itself into his feet, Agito launched himself into the air, at the pinnacle of his jump he twisted his body, extending his right foot out towards the cat headed Unknown.

At the same time that he'd leapt into the air, Saber lunged forward, letting out a loud cry as she swung her wind encased sword, bringing it down in a powerful slash across the Unknown's chest.

Moments later Agito descended, his glowing foot striking it in the chest, the combined attack knocking it backwards off of its feet and sending it falling to the ground.

Snarling, the remaining Cat Unknown struggled back to its feet when all of a sudden a brightly glowing halo appeared above its head, letting out one final cry before the creature's body gave off a bright flash of light before it was engulfed in a large explosion.

With another 'SHING', the crest on Agito's helmet folded itself back up as his body untensed itself and he rose back up and assumed a more neutral stance.

"My word," Saber exclaimed, "That kick, the power behind it…"

"Tell me about it," Rin replied, "That kick of his was powerful enough to destroy Lancer's Noble Phantasm."

Hearing this Saber's head snapped itself in Rin's direction, a look of disbelief on her face. "What," She exclaimed, fixing Rin with a look of wide eyed disbelief, "A kick powerful enough to destroy a Servant's Noble Phantasm?"

"Crazy I know," Rin replied, "I wouldn't believe it either if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes."

With both unknown defeated the air around Agito's body once again shimmed, the Rider armor vanishing as the form of Emiya Shirou appeared, the rust haired teenager taking several deep breaths as he composed himself.

"Emiya, you've got some explaining to do." Hearing Rin's voice the rust haired teen looked over to see the ebony haired Magus approaching him, Saber accompanying her. "That armor, where exactly did you get it?"

"I…I really can't tell you," He replied. "Like I told Saber, I'd honestly like to know what it is myself."

"You don't know, how the heck can you do…that and not be aware of it?" Rin exclaimed. "How long has this been going on for?"

"For the last year, I think." Shirou told her. "I've been experiencing this weird sensation in my head, I can't remember exactly when it started but usually whenever it happened I'd black out only to wake up sometime later with no memory of what happened afterwards."

"Sensation?" Saber said, "Shirou, before those strange creatures revealed themselves I experienced a peculiar sensation in my head, as if it were altering me to their presence."

"You felt it too Saber?" Shirou exclaimed, surprised at hearing his Servant say this.

"As fascinating as this conversation is, perhaps it's best that we shelve it for the moment." Archer spoke up. "Rin, I suggest we move to somewhere more secure delving into this some more, we cannot be sure that any potential hostile aren't listening in on us."

"Good point." Rin replied, "Let's head back to my house, we can talk more about this there."

So wrapped up in dealing with the pair of enemies Shirou and his companions, seemingly, hadn't noticed a silvery looking bird was standing on the branch of a nearby tree, the avian cocking its head before spreading its wings and took to the air, leaving the small part behind.

For a short time the silvery bird soared silently through the cold winter air before descending, coming across a pair of figures, one of which was young looking girl with pale skin, crimson red eyes and long silvery hair, clad in a purple winter coat and hat, the girl herself seated on the shoulder of a towering figure of a man, his skin ebony black and holding a large weapon that looked like a cross between a great sword and a stone axe in one of its meaty hands.

"Hmm, curiouser and curiouser," The red eyed girl said, extending her hand out for the bird to alight on, "It seems that you've been hiding a secret ace up your sleeve this whole time."

A thoughtful look spread itself across the pale skinned girl's face, bringing the bird closer to herself and began absentmindedly petting the bird's head as she reviewed the images that she'd observed through her familiar's eyes.

At first she'd been planning on confronting the red haired puppy once his business with the arbiter was concluded, however with the arrival of those strange cat headed men she'd decided to instead hold back and observe how things played out, in doing so she'd watched as her prey used a strange looking belt and armor to fight them alongside his Servant.

"Hmm, that belt and amor, what could they be?" She wondered aloud, "Could it be that that man left some kind of Mystic Code behind for you?"

With a flourish of her hand the bird's shape suddenly unravelled until it was a single strand of hair that reconnected itself to the girl's head "If so, then that's another thing of mine that you've stolen from me, Onii-san…"

AN And with that another chapter is in the bag. A while ago I got a comment from hawko2632 asking if there'd be another Agito chapter sometime this year, well hawko hope this answers your question.

So yeah, the plot for this one is pretty straightforward, Shirou meets with Kirei to be told the purpose of the Holy Grail War only to be called away as a pair of Unknowns where gaining full control of his Agito powers which leads to Saber, Rin and Archer find out about him being the true identity of Agito. And there's the scene at the end where we discover that Illya was watching them the whole time and is also aware about Shirou being Agito and the existence of the Lords even if she doesn't know the full story yet.

Since there's not much to talk about I guess we can talk a little Toku.

Gotchard has entered the midway point of its run, the most recent episode being the first part of a side story that see's the introduction of Kamen Rider Legend into the main show. In it Hotaru and Chlotho get trapped in a pocket dimension created by Gigist the Abyssalis King who we saw escape the Dark Door at the end of episode 31, the two of them fending off the foot soldiers of the Hundred and the introduction of three evil Riders who will be the big threat. Also the episode dealt with Clotho's desire to become stronger and is seemingly rewarded by being granted her desire by Gigist.

Also in the episode Lachesis revealed to Rinne, Minato and Kyoka that she and her sisters are homunculus, which honestly isn't all that surprising but its nice to get conformation plus tells us that creating homunculus is something that is considered forbidden form of alchemy.

Also the summer movies for both Gotchard and Boonboomger were announced, I'm guessing that why we we didn't see the Majade suit in the two parter set in Renge's grandma's village as well as why certain characters have been largely absent in recent episodes.

Meanwhile On the Sentai side of things recently I finished watching Zenkaiger. Gotta admit I was pretty apprehensive going in to the show, my first exposure to them was the crossover material they did with Kamen Rider Saber and lets just say that it didn't really do them any favours, however once I began watching the show proper I quickly I ended up enjoying this show quite a bit.

In particular were the four Kikanoids, especially Zyuran who ended up being my favourite character. I'll confess when I first saw him I was expecting him to be a poor mans Momotaros (y'know, like how Vice is) but instead him, despite his own eccentricities, essentially being the old man of the team and his bond with Kaito and his other teammates was just a joy to , its no wonder the poor guy has a bad back he basically carried the entire show.

I probably copuld go on but I think I'm gonna wrap things here. Feel free to drop a review and tell me what you thought of this particular chapter, feedback is always appreciated.

As always I've got more chapters in the works, one of which is a for one of the remaining Riders whose not gotten a chapter yet. The next chapter of this story will mark the 2nd anniversary of this project so I'll catch you all next time where we'll celebrate with one of the big chapters I've been sitting on for a while now.

Till next time, peace out y'all.
