Chapter ?: Inheritance

A new hero, a new legend…

"So, are you done chatting?"

Hearing a new voice the trio quickly turned to look in the direction it had originated from where they were met by the sight of a pair of figures standing a short distance from them. The first being a small girl with red eyes and silvery white hair clad in a purple coat and matching hat, a white scarf around her neck.

However it was her companion was what drew everyone's attention, a hulking giant of a man standing what looked to be 8 feet tall his skin was unnaturally dark clad only in a leather skirt, wielding a large stone weapon that looked to a combination of a sword and axe in one hand and staring down at the trio with a look of murder on its face.

"Is…is that Berserker…" Rin gasped out, a tenseness in her voice as she gazed upon the massive man who stood as still as a statue just behind his diminutive Master, her expression a mixture of terror as well as confusion at how these two had managed to get as close as they had without being detected.

"Good evening to you all." The girl said, a smile on her face as she focused her gaze on Shirou. "Onii-san, this is the second time we've run into each other."

Shirou didn't reply, too overwhelmed by the situation he found himself in, a bead of sweat dripping down the back of his neck as he recalled his previous meeting with the silver haired child, in particular her ominous message to him that all of a sudden made a lot more sense.

"You better summon yours soon if you don't want to die, Onii-san…"

Under her hood an uncomfortable look appeared on Sabers face. As much as she didn't want to believe it there was no denying that standing before her was the daughter of Emiya Kiritsugu and Irisviel von Enizbern.

The girl then stepped forward and curtsied. "It's nice to meet you Rin." She greeted the Tohsaka Mage. "My name is Illyasviel, Illyasviel von Einzbern. I trust you're familiar with that name."

"von Einzbern…" Rin muttered, "Yeah, you could say I'm familiar with your family name."

"Rin, what are your orders?" The Tohsaka heiress hearing the disembodied voice of Archer in her head. "This is one Servant is one not to be taken lightly. It's strong enough to take on the other six Servants at once and still emerge victorious."

"You don't need to tell me that. This thing, it eclipses Saber in raw strength alone." Rin retorted. "Archer, it's best if you play to your classes strengths. The three of us should hopefully be enough to hold him off long enough for you to find a good vantage point."

Shirou meanwhile was staring at Berserker, the gaze that the hulking Servant was giving them alone seemed enough to make his heart skip several beats. Berserker, much like the three other Servants he'd run into tonight, the Class name of this towering mass of muscle and flesh alone gave him a pretty clear idea of its deal was.

What should he do, what could he do? When it came to Magecraft he was thoroughly outclassed by both Tohsaka and the girl who'd introduced herself as Illyasviel and, based on his pitiful attempt to fend off Lancer earlier that evening, there was no way he could fight something as powerful as a Servant himself.

"Emiya, far be it from me to tell you want to do, but it's pretty obvious that out of everyone here." Rin told him firmly. "If you can try and get as far away from here as possible."

"That's enough chatting, if it's all the same to you'd like to get started." Illya said in a tone of child-like eagerness, "Berserker, get them."

No sooner had these words been uttered, the already overwhelming aura of violence the muscle bound giant of a man grew heavier, his muscular body and eyes giving off a faint red glow as his massive muscles tensed themselves in readiness and letting out a loud feral sounding roar before proceeding to launch himself high up into the air where he hung for a few moments before descending towards the trio below.

All of a sudden dozens of crimson streaks appeared, cutting through the air as they zeroed in on the falling Servant, colliding with him and created a large burst of energy accompanied by a bright flash of light, knocking Berserker out of the air and sending crashing to the ground below.

Recovering quickly Berserker was quickly on the defensive, using his large weapon to deflect several more shots that were being aimed at him, knocking them out of the air with precise precision unexpected for one believed to be cursed with madness, only for a stray shot to slip past and strike him between the eyes, creating in another large explosion.

Quickly the cloud of smoke created from the strike dissipated to reveal Berserker standing there and, to both Shirou and Rin's horror, the giant of a man looked to be unharmed despite the multiple arrows fired at him.

"Wha…what?" Rin exclaimed, "Archer's arrows, they had no effect?"

So stunned by this that neither teens could react when Berserker suddenly lunged forward towards them, moving at speeds that even the most dedicated of sprinters could ever hope to achieve, covering the distance in the blink of an eye, his weapon at the ready as he prepared to bring it down on Shirou.

Just as quickly Saber reacted, throwing off the yellow raincoat that she'd been clad in as charged towards Berserker, her invisible sword at the ready as she moved to intercept the giant equally large stone weapon, placing herself in front of her Master she raised her sword to block in time before the mad Servant could harm her Master.

In an instant both Saber and Berserker's weapons collided, the force of the impact knocking both Shirou and Rin off of their feet, the blond haired swordswoman felt her bones shake under the force bearing down on her, Berserker's much larger weapon colliding with her's.

This Servant, whoever they were clearly a powerful warrior, even with the madness that they were in the grip of, his mere strength alone far eclipsed her own.

Mustering up every last ounce of strength, Saber managed to pull back from Berserker, the tower of muscle and rage stumbling off balance at the sudden loss of an opposing force trying to hold him back.

Seeing him off balance Saber quickly lunged forward, unleashing a powerful slash that, to everyone's surprise, knocked the enraged Servant off of his feet and sent him flying backwards a fair distance before recovering, the giant letting out a fear inspiring cry at his opponent.

Doing her best to keep her features unreadable, Saber began to think of her next plan of attack. Berserker was way too strong to try and fight head on and while she'd manage to land a significant blow the tactic she'd used was something that was highly unlikely to work again.

Very well, if she couldn't match him in strength then her only option was to out manoeuvre him.

Readying her sword she then lunged at Berserker, slipping past his attempt to deliver her own slash at him only for Berserker to block her attempt. Again and again their weapons collided, all the while Saber did her best to keep changing positions, not allowing the enemy Servant to get a clean hit on her.

His teeth gritted and his eyes glowing with murderous intent, Berserker once again attempted to bring his massive stone blade down upon his smaller opponent, only to find empty air as Saber hopped upwards to avoid his attempt, a shower of debris and dust launched into the air as his sword/axe collided with the ground as it longed itself there

Seeing her chance, Saber landed on top of Berserker's stuck weapon, channeling all of her strength into the slash that she aimed at Berserker's head, her intention being to end this in one swing.

Moments before the blade of her sword could strike true the unthinkable happened. Berserker let go of his weapon before leaning back and out of the way of Saber's attempt to decapitate him, her sword slicing nothing but empty air, leaning back into a handstand before righting himself where unleashed several powerful kicks at Saber, one of them catching her in the chest and launching her backwards where she flew backwards before slamming back down into the ground.

Saber grimaced as she picked herself back up, her body aching as she did so. This Berserker Servant, just how was she supposed to fight and defeat an opponent like this? He was insanely strong and far more agile than his build would imply.

Not only that but that last manoeuvre he'd used, letting go of his weapon to avoid being decapitated, was not something expected of one supposedly in the grip of madness. How, how was she supposed to win against an opponent like this?

Steeling herself the blond haired ex king took a moment to take stock of her surroundings, noticing a wooded area close by. An enclosed area, plenty of trees to provide cover in especially if the area was tight enough to hinder her opponent's movements.

While she wasn't the type who'd show her back to the enemy, she'd learned long ago that when fighting a war, you make use of every advantage available to you. Even the ones you find undesirable.

Stepping back a few steps, Saber turned on her heel and began running towards the woods, the sound of heavy footsteps coming from behind her Berserker in hot pursuit of her, quickly reaching the fence that surrounded the area which she cleared in a single leap and disappeared amongst the tree line.

"Saber!" Rin cried out as she watched Saber retreat into the woods, Berserker hot on her trail. "Damnit…"

A frown etching itself into her face, the Tohsaka heiress turned to look over in Shirou's direction, the Emiya Magus wearing an expression of wide eyed shock on his face.

"Emiya, what are you doing?" Rin called out in a stern sounding voice, "I told you to get as far away from here as possible."

Her piece said, Rin began running in the direction that both Servants had headed in, disappearing from sight from sight.

Alone now, Shirou sank to his knees, Tohsaka's words still ringing in his ears. He…he'd been completely useless.

Damnit, even after all these years, all the effort to train himself in using his Magecraft day in and day out, was he really still as powerless as he had been on that hellish night he'd been saved by Kiritsugu.

As he knelt there the fog drifted over him, seemingly thicker than it had been before, the sound of shambling footsteps could be heard approaching from within it. "I…I am a man who forever fights…a man who forever suffers…" a voice seemed to waft in the cold night air.

Getting to his feet Shirou turned to look in the sound's direction and was met by the sight of a mummified looking emerged from the fog and stood before him, the single visible eye amongst the ancient looking bandages that adorned its body. "Wha…what the…?"

"I…I don't have much time left…" The mummified told the rust haired boy, "If you have something you wish to protect then I shall grant you great power…"

"P…power…?" Shirou replied, taken aback by what the figure before him had just told him, offering him power.

"Listen closely, something that was supposed to have remained forever buried has been unearthed and begun anew." The mummified told him. "A game, an ancient game where people die."

"Game?" Shirou muttered, "You mean the Holy Grail War?"

The mummified man shook their head. "No…This game, its participants kill in hopes of obtaining terrible power and your city is now their hunting ground." He told the rust haired teenager, "If it's not opposed then the people who dwell here will drown in blood and hellfire."

Shirou felt his breath catch itself in his throat, at the mention of these words' memories of the night of the Fuyuki fire flashed before his eyes. This game, if it were anything like that night…

"N…no…S…Sakura, Fuji-Nee…" He said in a choked whisper.

"My…time is short, I have but moments left." The mummified figure said, snapping Shirou's attention back on him, "Tell me boy, if you were to be granted power…what would you do with it?"

Shirou didn't answer at first, honestly he wasn't sure of what to make of all this. Someone appearing out of the blue and offering to give him power, the whole thing was frankly ludicrous.

That and the idea of being handed power rather than earning it was something that didn't sit right with him. Sure his Magecraft wasn't anything special, according to Tohsaka it was pretty much amongst the most basic of skills, but still it was something that he'd master through his own hard work and dedication.

All of a sudden he recalled the exchange between Saber and Berserker that had occurred meer moments before, how he could do nothing but stand there and watch as his Servant engaged an opponent who not only thoroughly outclassed her in terms of raw strength but was also more adept at fighting then originally believed, all the while being powerless to provide any kind of support.

He'd sworn that he'd support her and there was no way in hell he could do that as he was now. If this stranger was offering him power, to support Saber, he'd suck up what little pride he had and take it.

Taking a deep breath Shirou looked up at the mummified stranger, a look of determination on his face. "I…I would become a hero that can save everyone." He told him.

"I see." The mummified stranger said, seemingly unphased by Shirou's statement, "Well, if that is the case, then in order for you to become a proper vessel you must take part in the baptism of hellfire…"

As he spoke a small orb wrapped in swirling energy emerged from the mummified figures, which then launched itself towards Shirou before embedding itself inside of his chest.

"...Bare witness to Kuuga's fate…"

Before he could question what the stranger meant by this, all of a sudden Shirou's senses were overwhelmed as visions of a city, one that looked to be far too old to be Fuyuki, the air filled with the sounds of terrified screams as well as inhuman sounding cries.

The streets were flooded with terrified people who were running for their lives, being pursued by monstrous creatures that were pursuing them wielding an assortment of bladed weapons, the rust haired teenager helpless to do anything but watch as the monsters cut down their helpless prey one by one. And each time they did Shirou felt a sudden, agonizing, jolt of pain.

Despite his high tolerance to pain, Shirou quickly found himself being overwhelmed, each time one of these helpless victims was cut down he was forced to endure more agony, as his body was being torn apart before being forcefully stitched back together again only for the cycle to repeat itself again and again.

All the while, as this hellish cycle played itself out and despite the near maddening agony in which he found himself, Shirou swore he could also feel something else, something inside of him.

Something crawling around beneath his skin, starting out from the point in which that strange orb had entered him and spreading out through his body, turning him into something less and more than human.

"Are you able to bear this pain? Are you capable of it? Are you…able to take it in!?"

Too much…it was all too much. Make it stop…make it stop…make it…

"Ah…you know…when I was little…I really wanted…to be a hero."

"What do you mean? You don't want too anymore? Did you just give up?"

"Yeah, seems when you grow up…it's hard to call yourself one. I wish I had realized that sooner…."

"I see, well, I guess there's not much you can do about it."

"Yeah…I guess not…Ah…what a beautiful moon it is tonight…."

"All right, then I'll be a hero for you."

"Huh?"

"You're an adult now, so you can't do it anymore. But I still can. Just leave it to me, I'll make your dream happen."

"Ah…I see. Very well…I can rest easy now…."

That right, Kiritsugu, the promise that he made to him. He swore that he'd fulfil his dream, to become a hero and create a better world, a world where no one would have to suffer. A world where tragedies like the one that happened years ago could never happen again.

That memory of that night and the promise that he swore, it proved to be enough for Shirou to push through the agony that he found himself in.

Letting out a cry of both pain and determination, glowing energy gathered around the teen's waist, in the center of which was a swirling circle of crimson red, which suddenly flashed before taking the form of an antiquated looking arched belt that looked to be made from a silvery looking material.

At its center was a buckle that was decorated with ancient writings and a pair of gold stalks connected to a circular black gem in its center.

The near maddening feeling of pain now gone, Shirou once more dropped onto his hands and knees, gasping as if he'd just got done running a marathon as sweat poured itself off of his body.

"It is done," The mummified man said, "My joy…my suffering…my soul…they have been passed on to you. I…I am at my limit, soon I will diminish."

As he said this he then turned away from Shirou and began walking towards the forested area in which Saber, Berserker and Tohsaka had taken off towards, leaving the gasping teen behind. "But…before that moment comes there is one last thing for me to do…one last battle for me to fight…"

"W…wait…" Shirou exclaimed, struggling to get back to his feet only to collapse back to the ground. Looking up he could do nothing but watch as the mysterious man vanished back into the mist.

Had any soul chosen to brave the cold night in the vicinity of the wooded area located close to Kotomine church and the graveyard that attached to it, the swords of battle as well as bestial sounding cries could be heard coming from deep within.

Their weapons colliding again and again. She'd hoped that the more confined area of the forest would grant her some kind advantage while hindering her opponent only for it not to be the case as the Mad Servant didn't seem to even care about his surroundings in his relentless pursuit of her.

Damn, how was she supposed to defeat an opponent such as this?

All the while both Illyasviel and Rin watched as the two Servants continued to engage each other, the silver haired Magus sported a smug look in her face as her enraged behemoth of a Servant dominated the smaller blond swordswoman while Rin wore a look of apprehension on her face.

"What's wrong Saber, don't tell me that effort is the best that you can muster?" Illya taunted, "I'd been informed that the Saber class was supposed to be the strongest, however, based on what I've seen from you, it seems such claims are highly exaggerated."

While she didn't voice it Rin had to admit that, as much as it pained her to agree with her enemy, Illyasviel did have a point. She'd grown up being told tales by her late father about the virtues of the Saber class, of their strength and combat prowess.

So watching as Saber was being completely dominated by Berserker was indeed a disappointing sight to watch.

All of a sudden a villainous looking smirk spread itself across Illya's lips, accompanied by an equally villainous sounding chuckle.

"Or could it be that the real problem be with you?" She continued. "If that's the case then I almost feel sorry for Onii-san, to have been burdened with such a pathetic excuse for a Servant."

A frown etched itself into Saber's face as her grip on her sword tightened. She didn't need to be told that she was unworthy of her position, she more than anyone knew of just how much of a failure she was.

That was her reason to seek the Holy Grail and the power that it possessed, to use it to correct a mistake that she had committed long ago, to allow another better suited to be king to emerge and create the better world that she could not.

Winning the Holy Grail was all that mattered and to do that she needed to defeat Berserker.

As Saber readied herself to engage her opponent once more all of a sudden an ominous looking mist rolled in through the small gap in the treeline in which the quartet were located and quickly filled the area.

"What," Rin muttered in an uneasy tone as she glanced around her. "What the heck is this?"

Saber, something about this mist filled her with a sense of unease.

The sound of low growling caught the pair's attention and looking over they saw Berserker looked agitated, a low feral growl and his face twisted into a snarl as he looked off in a direction that neither Rin nor Saber were standing in.

"Berserker, what's wrong with you?" Illyasviel addressed the colossal Servant, "You're supposed to be smashing this walking like the bug that she is."

Berserker however gave no acknowledgment to whether he'd heard his Masters orders or not, still growling fiercely as he glared off into the distance.

Curious as to what Berserker was so fixated on, both Saber and Rin turned their attention in the direction he was focused on and in doing both were met by the sight of something within the mist that blanketed the area, slowly moving towards them.

No sooner had the fog appeared it dissipated, revealing a humanoid looking figure, their whole body wrapped in bandages like a mummy obscuring their features, the bandages themselves ancient looking bandages.

"I…I am a man who forever fights…a man whoever forever suffers…" They heard him say, his tone low and guttural sounding.

"Who…who, or what is that?" Rin exclaimed as the stranger drew closer. "He looks human, one that's been in a serious accident. But those bandages, they look really old…"

"Sire, whoever you are, you should leave the area quickly." Saber called out to the stranger, "Judging by your appearance it's much too dangerous for you to be here."

Hearing her voice, the mummified stranger glanced over in Saber's direction, his single visible eye fixing itself on her. "You…" He muttered before he began moving towards the blond haired swordsman who raised her sword in a defensive manner as he approached.

Drawing near the mummified stranger reached out and grabbed a hold of one of Saber's wrists and with strength not expected from such a whitened form pulling her in close, their eyes met, his sunken in orbs staring directly into her green ones.

"You…should give up, your wish, it never meant to be granted." He told her, "There is no salvation or greater world on this path you tread and even if what you seek could be granted, your wish would only bring nothing but more misery."

Hearing this, Saber's eyes widened and her breath caught itself in her throat. This man, just who was he, why did he speak as he could see right through her. And his words, why did they have such an effect on her?

From her position Illya watched the exchange between Saber and the stranger. To be frank she was far less concerned with the identity of the stranger who'd wandered in and more annoyed at them interrupting her Servant's effort to crush the weakling Saber into paste.

"Hey you," She called out to the stranger in an agitated tone. "Just who do you think you are?"

Hearing Illya addressing him, the mummified figure tossed Saber aside before turning his gaze towards the silver haired girl.

"My time is up, my joy…my suffering…my very soul, they have been inherited by another." He said, his words carrying neither aggression nor passion. "This will be my final battle."

Meanwhile Rin watched on, trying to make sense of what was going on. Saber, what was wrong with her, how could this stranger be able to manhandle her like that?

All of a sudden a noise from behind caught her attention and quickly turning round was greeted by the sight of a gasping and sweating Shirou, the rust haired boy looking far worse then he'd been when she'd last seen him.

"E…Emiya…" Rin exclaimed, shocked to see the state that the red head was in, quickly she made her way over to him and draped one of his arms over as she did her best to support him before she half led/half dragged him over to a nearby tree which she leaned him against.

"Emiya, what the hell happened to you?"

Shirou looked upwards, just as he was about to answer her his eyes fell upon the mummified man. "I…it…it's him…" He gasped.

A low gutters sounding breath escaped from the mummified man as he placed his hands over his waist, the spot began to shimmer before a belt of similar design to the one adorning Shirou's waist materialized, a flash of light before becoming completely corporeal.

With his belt now in place, the mummified man shifted his stance, placing his left palm above the belt while holding his right out in front of him, his hand palm up.

"Hen…shin…" He announced, his voice resonating with power and authority as he brought his left hand back into a fist over what looked to be a lever on the belt he brought his right arm back and placed it on top of his left and pressed down, and finally threw his arms out to the side as his body began to radiate with glowing energy.

In a flash the stranger's body was covered in a black bodysuit while pieces of ruby red armor formed on his upper body, shoulders, forearms, and the backs of his hands. His upper chest, forearms, wrists, and ankles held gold trimming, various red jewels on spots like his gold kneepads and anklets.

His helmet was simplistic in shape with two giant red segmented lenses that resembled bug eyes, a golden crest that gave the impression of a stag beetle, and a crusher mouth that emulated it as well.

"Witness the power of Kuuga, Champion of the Linto race." The now armored figure declared, turning his head, his one visible eye fixed itself in Shirou momentarily, "This power which is now yours…"

Shirou stared at the armored warrior, taken aback by both his transformation as well as his words. "Kuuga…" He muttered.

Snarling Berserker rushed towards Kuuga, as before closing the distance between himself and his new opponent seemingly in the blink of an eye, bringing his large stone weapon down upon the insect themed warrior.

To everyone's surprise Kuuga managed to dodge out of the way, quickly falling back mere moments before the ground upon which he'd been standing moments before erupted as Berserker's weapon collided with it.

Quickly Kuuga retaliated, cocking his fist back as he lunged towards his looming opponent before aiming a punch that aimed at Berserker's midsection, a meaty sounding thud was heard as the armored combatants fist found its mark.

The Demi God hadn't even flinch from the blow aimed at him.

Recovering from her state of shock Illya suddenly burst out laughing. "What…what was that? That's so funny. You can't possibly have thought such a weak punch could harm my Berserker?" She managed to say, "My Berserker is the strongest Servant there is, a true hero unlike that worthless swordsman and the coward in the red coat. Face it, there's nothing that the rest of you lowbrow trash can do that will even scratch him."

Seemingly unphased by the silver haired snow maidens words the armored warrior aimed delivered punch after punch at Berserker's midsection, none of which looked to have even the slightest effect on the giant Servant.

"Is he crazy?" Rin exclaimed, watching as Kuuga continued to aim fruitless blow after blow at Berserker despite already seeing that doing so was ineffective. "Why is he continuing to try something that he already knows doesn't work?"

Shirou had to agree, just what was this guy thinking? He'd spoken before of granting him great power and something about being a champion,

"Sir, you need to fall back, Berserker is not an opponent that you can fight." Saber called out to the red clad warrior, "Can't you see that you're unable to harm him?"

"Didn't you hear what I just said?" Illya sounding less amused this time as she watched the man in the insect themed armor continued to hammer away unsuccessfully at her Servant. "I just told you, nothing that any of you…"

Before she finished her sentence, Kuuga delivered another punch to Berserker that struck him in the midsection, the impact accompanied by a sound similar to a cannon shot, a pained sounding grunt escaping from the giant as his eyes widened and he was forced back a step.

Kuuga delivered several more punches to Berserker, each one driving the massive Servant back a step, before taking a step back, bent his knees slightly and launched himself into the air, rising up until he was level with the mad Servants chest where he delivered a vicious kick, another cannon shot ringing out as the giant was knocked off of his feet and sent sprawling to the ground.

"N…no way!" Rin exclaimed as she, Shirou and Saber looked on, both teens wearing practically identical looks of disbelief on their faces, "That guy, he was actually able to do damage to Berserker! Just who is this guy?"

Berserker growled fiercely as he picked himself up off the ground, fixing Kuuga with a murderous look as he did so. With a bestial sounding cry he lunged towards his armor clad opponent, his stone sword/axe raised in readiness before unleashing yet another swing.

Seeing Berserker charging towards him Kuuga leapt high into the air, sailing over Berserker's head to avoid him, before handing on the ground a short distance behind the giant in a crouching position.

Reaching out, the red and black warrior took hold of a discarded branch off of the ground before rose back up and turned to face Berserker, holding the branch out in front of him.

All of a sudden the branch's form began to shimmer and its structure became momentarily see-through as it lengthened before it transformed into a blue and gold staff, both ends affixed with a golden attachment with a blue gem set into it.

Raising his new weapon above his head he spun it around, as he did so both ends of the staff extended increasing its length, before shifting his stance bending his right knee bending while extending his left leg out in front of him as he grasped the weapons shaft in both hands.

"He turned that stick into an actual weapon." Rinn exclaimed. "Just what is this guy? That ability he used to create that staff, I want to say that he's a Mage but still no Mage should be able to engage a Servant no matter how powerful they are. Not unless he's a Servant himself."

"He's no Servant." Saber spoke up, both Rin and Shirou looking over in her direction. "If he were a Heroic Spirit like me and Berserker I'd be able to tell. This man, he's something else."

"No way…" Rin gasped, her eyes widening. "He's neither Heroic Spirit nor Magus and has the power to match a Servant in battle. Just who is this guy?"

Saber's eyes narrowed as her features assumed a serious expression. "Regardless of who he is…"

Gripping her sword in both hands, Saber's body tensed up for a moment before she charged headlong towards Berserker, sword at raised as she readied another attempt to bring down the enraged Servant.

Her pride as both a knight and as a king would not allow her to simply stand back and allow to engage an opponent as powerful as the giant of a Berserker Servant.

With a cry she attempted another slash on the muscle bound giant only for her sword to be intercepted by Kuuga's staff, blocking her attempt to slash at Berserker.

What…what are you doing?" She asked, shocked that the mysterious warrior would protect the man he'd made an enemy of.

Pulling back Kuuga thrust his Dragon Rod at Saber who responded by using her sword to block each of his attempts.

"I told you, this is my final battle," The masked warrior told her, "Don't interfere…"

As he said this Kuuga aimed his Dragon Rod towards Sabers feet, the blond haired swordswoman stepping back to avoid it. Just before the rounded golden adornment attached to Kuuga's staff ceased mere millimetres from it.

Striking the shaft with one of his hands the Dragon Rod lurched upwards knocking the pommel of Saber's sword and launched her arms upwards, exposing her chest. Seeing his open Kuuga aimed a kick at her exposed chest, the force of his kick sending her flying a fair distance before she fell towards the ground, rolling across it before coming to a halt.

No sooner had Saber been dealt with a noise from behind caught Kuuga's attention and glancing over he found Berserker looking over him, his massive weapon raised as he readied to bring it down upon him.

Acting quickly Kuuga once again leapt into the air, the height of his jump much being higher than anyone expected, sailing high up into the canopy of a nearby tree and landed on one of the branches.

From the ground Berserker glared up at Kuuga, a fierce growl emanating as he gripped his weapon in both hands and hurled it towards the spot in which his opponent was standing, the stone sword/axe cutting through the air like a spinning disk as raced towards the beetle themed warrior.

From his position, Kuuga watched as the massive weapon cut its way through the air as it sped towards him, his knees bending slightly before he launched himself from the branch, narrowly escaping Berserker's weapon as it smashed into the trunk of the tree which exploded into a shower of splinters.

Sailing through the air, Kuuga soon descended back towards the ground where he landed in a crouched position. No sooner had he landed all of a sudden Kuuga's staff began to shimmer before its form began to change, shortening in length as it transformed itself into the Pegasus Bow Gun, a black projectile weapon with golden trim as well as sporting a rounded rectangular green gem set into its barrel and a second circular gem set into the muzzle, before his feet once again touched the ground.

Rising back up Kuuga turned to face Berserker, the mad Servant letting out a bellow before he then lunged at the armored Rider, taking hold of the golden handle located at the butt of the weapon and pulled it back as he took aim at his opponent, the pair of golden fins at the front compressing themselves as the golden tip began to shimmers with heat haze, releasing his hold before pressing down on the trigger, firing a bolt of compressed air at Berserker, slicing through the air at a blinding speed before striking him in one of his eyes.

Skidding to a halt a howl of pain erupted from the dark skinned giant as his hand clamps itself over his wounded eye

Seeing Berserker writhe in pain Kuuga tossed his weapon aside, the Bow Gun changing back into a stick before it even hit the ground, before he shifted his stance, holding his arms while extending his leg forward, a golden aura radiating off of his right foot as his power flowed through the appendage.

Another guttural sounding breath escaped from Kuuga before he charged towards Berserker, a smouldering foot seared into the grass each time his burning foot made contact with the ground, before he the leaped into the air, performing frontward somersault before shifting into a flying side kick, extending his glowing leg forward.

Moments later his foot made contact with Berserker's chest, causing the giant to stumble back a few steps, leaving behind a glowing brand on his chest. Pushing off of Berserker's chest, Kuuga twisted in midair before landing on the ground with one leg tucked under him and the leg that had struck Berserker extended out in front of him.

"Is that all, sorry to disappoint you after all that but I'm afraid that it will take more than a mere kick to defeat my Berserker." Illya spoke up, the silver haired Magus finally finding her voice again. "I'll admit that you did surprise me, I never imagined that there was someone let alone you could damage my Servant, miniscule as it may be. But in the end…"

Before the Einzbern Master could say anything else she was cut off by what sounded like cracking stone, she along with Shirou, Rin and Saber turned their attention towards Berserker as saw cracks running across his body, seeming to originate from the glowing brand and spreading outwards.

The mad Servant let out one last cry as his body began to pulse with glowing energy before he suddenly was engulfed in a massive burst of energy and heat, everyone gathered fought to keep themselves from being blown over as the force of the explosion buffeted the area.

Just as quickly the effects of the explosion died down revealing the charred husk of Berserker standing there, his legs giving out from under him and he fell forward and he collapsed to the ground where he lay motionless.

"I…impossible…" Illya exclaimed, her eyes wide in disbelief, "He…he actually managed to take Berserker's lives…"

The deed finished, Kuuga rose back up to his full height, his form giving off a flash of white light as his armor vanished from his body. His gaze fixed straight ahead, the mummified man raised his hand in Rin and Shirou's direction, giving the pair a thumbs up.

All of a sudden, his opponent before him, his legs gave out and he collapsed onto his knees, a satisfied look in their visible eye, before all of sudden his ancient body crumbled into dust that was carried away on the night air, the bandages that had adorned his body being the only trace of him left behind.

AN And like that another chapter is, FINALLLY, in the bag. Yeah, I've been gone for a while. Sorry a bunch of IRL stuff happened. Towards the end of June I had some minor family drama that had be be sorted out, nothing huge or anything but I still got dragged into it. And then I had the misfortune of coming down with something that really kicked my ass, thankfully I'm feeling better now.

I was hoping to have this chapter up Thursday, I even planned to make a joke about celebrating Americas day of independence by posting something a based on a Chinese cartoon.

Anyway, enough of that. Getting to the subject of this chapter here's one that I'm sure some of you have been curious about, here for the first time, not counting a cameo in the last Den-O chapter, Kamen Rider Kuuga.

As you can see I used some elements from the Kuuga manga that came out in 2015 for this chapter and diverges quite a bit from the original show. Part of the manga's plot had Original Kuuga reawaken at the same time as the Groungi, being the one to defeat Spider Groungi, before passing his powers on to Godai. Oh and at some point Agito shows up.

So yeah this chapter has Original Kuuga, and before anyone asks, no its not Godai, meet up with Shirou on the same night he became involved with the Holy Grail War, passing his power onto him before going off to fight and defeat Berserker. Also, in case any one missed it, Kuuga used the Dragon Rod and the Pegasus Bow Gun all without changing colors. The basic idea is that Original Kuuga had access to all the powers of his 4 base forms Dragon, Pegagus and Titan forms are something that Godai and Shirou require as their bodies are unable to handle all of Kuuga's powers at once.

On Boonboomger the shows sixth Ranger, Boon Violet, Homura Sakito, and his partner Byun Diesel have arrived and we learned the origin of the Boonboomger name, it was the name of the team that Bundorio and Byun Diesel were part of while they were competing in Big Bang Grand Prix, and that Byun Diesel was the one who took Sakito away from Earth 10 years prior to the shows first episode.

Meanwhile on Gotchard it will soon be heading into its endgame. Since we're now 42 episodes into a 49(?) episode show part of me is wondering if there will be enough time for Majade and Valvard to get their final forms. Then again Neon got her final form pretty late into Geat's run, episode 44, or they're saving them for post series material which such as the post series V Cinema's that Rider has been putting out starting with Mach and more recently with Geiz, Vulcan, Espada, Live and Buffa.

As for the other possibility, part of me has been wondering if any of the Gotchard character would possibly show up on Outsiders. A month ago I saw a Youtube post that showed a poster that had 5 blank character slots on it, one of which will be Ziin who's apparently showing up in episode 6. If that's true the two most likely candidates IMO are Spanner, since he's show that he's got no problem dirtying his hands if it means defeating the enemy, and, provided she survives, Clotho who possibly becomes Dread again. Again they'd honestly work as part of Outsiders as that show tends to features character who have no problem using evil power to protect humanity from Zein.

Aside from that the most recent episode takes place at research lab that Sabimaru's brother works which is looking into creating new Chemy's, part of me is wondering if this could mean since this lab is looking to create new Chemy's if Majade and Valvard's final forms as well as any potential future forms are made using newly created ones instead of the 101 that we've seen so far. Oh, and as a child Sabimaru designed a Chemy which is a reference to Kame Bazooka, a Destron Kaijin from Kamen Rider V3.

Oh and Nijigon was revealed to contained a fragment of the Philosophers Stone. I mean the show is alchemy themed so I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the Philosophers Stone has worked its way into the plot.

In addition to all of that we also got a look for as far as movie suit for Miracle Gotchard and as far as movie exclusive suits it looks pretty good. I means its basically SteamHopper combined with parts of Rainbow Gotchard as well as Nijigon but plus seen some comments saying that they prefer it to Rainbow Gotchard.

In the time I've been gone we've gotten Kamen Rider Gav. We've gotten to see his suit, which kinda resembles Zero-One's, as well as his belt and found out that he's candy themed... Ok then, we've got ourselves another food based Rider and considering that its been 10 years since Gaim (yeas, its been that long, time marches ever forward, bringing us step by step ever closer to the grave 😰) who was fruit themed and now we've got Gav who is based on candy. Oh, apparently the secondary Rider is chocolate themed.

So yeah...this show is gonna be...uhhh... interesting.

Anyway, I think I'm gonna sign off now. As always please feel free to post a comment, tell me what you all though of this one and again sorry for the radio silence. Catch you all for the next one, hopefully there won't be any more delays.

Until next time, peace out y'all.
