Author's Note: AHHHHHHHH! WOOOO! What's up, y'all?! First of all, I want to apologize for this update taking longer than expected. The last time I updated this was back in May? Yeah, that's too long, especially given how the last chapter ended. I'll reply to some reviews first before we officially get started.
Issei Lucifer: Peter might definitely go down a darker path… What do I mean by this exactly? Guess you'll have to find out!
NeoTyson: Thanks! I'm glad my writing was able to somewhat resemble what goes on in the show, considering the 90's Spidey and X-Men series are both peak fiction in my opinion. This is only amplified with X-Men '97 arguably being the best show this year.
Pinkflamingwarriorofjustice: Let me be the first to say that would be absolutely hilarious, lol. Deadpool would be the lead singer if this ever actually happened, haha.
TaitanoRules555: Definitely! I already have plans for certain mutants to show up that haven't appeared in the show, or for some mutants that haven't gotten a lot of screentime. It should be fun.
Spiderhyphenman: I appreciate the kind words! I'm happy it was suspenseful. From what I'm getting, people were really surprised about the ending.
JohnnyPrime: Happy to hear that you're invested! And hey, I wouldn't mind writing the X-Men '97 Intro with Spidey in it.
TheCrimsonSpider: Luckily, I'm releasing the new chapter right now!
Guest: I'm updating as we speak! I do acknowledge some parts of the fic are a bit rushed, but hopefully, I'll get better with the pacing. And hmmm… X-Men '97 with Spidey as a mutant? An interesting concept, for sure.
The Ghost Warrior120: Good news, I'm updating!
Okay, everybody. That's all the reviews. To all my readers, make sure to leave a review, and I'll reply to it in the next chapter. But as of right now, let's get this party started!

"Save yourself!"
"There was an explosion, and... Well, after it went away… It's like the professor just disappeared. The same thing happened with Jean too."
"Where's Aunt May?"
"Peter, after the explosion… We found May's body. She wasn't responding to anything we did-"
"But she's gonna be alright?"
"No."

Chapter 10: Loss
BGM: Smokey Robinson – Really Gonna Miss You (A/N: Please play this!)
Really gonna miss you
It's really gonna be different without you
Time is gonna be hard and slow
For the rest of my life
I'm gonna be thinking about you, yes I am
Time came when you had to go
When it rains, it pours. And unfortunately, Peter Parker has gone through this feeling far too many times in his life. He's lost Uncle Ben, Harry, Mary Jane, and now his beloved Aunt May. The air was heavy for not only Peter, but the X-Men as well. Professor Xavier and Jean were nowhere to be found, and after the near destruction of New Jersey, President Kelly is inevitably going to reach a conclusion that'll decide the fate of mutants. Could war be on the horizon? That remains to be seen.
Nightcrawler, who was informed of Aunt May's passing, felt like he should be at the funeral. Despite not knowing Aunt May, nor Peter for that matter, he was kind enough to help him, and his X-Men family, through this time of grief and sorrow. And after getting all the information he could about Aunt May and Peter, he knew he was fully prepared for this situation.
As the rain became more intense, so did the rumbling of thunder. A prolonged silence followed, before Nightcrawler finally began to speak.
"Among a world of people with superpowers, May Parker showed all of us that it's not the powers that make you a hero, but instead, it's your heart." Nightcrawler's voice was somber, yet strong and poetic at the same time. "Whether you wish to talk about her time at F.E.A.S.T., where she routinely helped people who were in need of a home, or how she raised one of the greatest heroes of all time," he paused, obviously referring to Peter being Spider-Man, while going on to add, "It's abundantly clear that her legacy can be seen all around us. In life, the goal isn't to live forever, but instead, it's to create something that will."
As Nightcrawler said these words, Peter was finding it harder and harder to not break down and just cry. Rogue was standing right next to him, realizing he needed more support than ever before. In mere moments, her gloved hand became intertwined with Peter's hand, which was her way of gently letting him know that she would be there for him on every step of the way.
Nightcrawler was about to continue with his speech, until Peter felt the need to say something. "Is it okay if I add something?" Peter asked, catching Nightcrawler's and the rest of the X-Men's attention. Shortly afterwards, Nightcrawler would give Peter an answer.
"Of course," replied Nightcrawler, allowing Peter to have the stage. When Peter was going to speak, Rogue felt the need to ask him a question.
"Are you gonna be alright?" she inquired. She wasn't going to stop Peter if he wanted to speak, but this was just her way of showing that she cares for him.
Peter, who looked at Rogue, forced a fake smile to appear on his face. "Yeah." he assured her, although it wasn't really convincing. Though, before he left, he felt somebody place a hand on his shoulder. It was Deadpool, who in this moment, was actually being serious for once.
"Make Aunt May proud, Pete." Deadpool encouraged, his tone being sincere. Truthfully, it took everybody by surprise. Initially, Peter wasn't sure how to respond, but he kept his fake smile on his face while giving Deadpool a nod.
Afterwards, when Peter finally reached the stage, he could be seen facing everybody. Taking a moment to reflect, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. But when he opened his eyes again, he knew there was no turning back now.
"My Aunt May's favorite quote was when you help someone, you help everyone. She also believed that there's a hero in all of us. The hero inside of us keeps us honest, gives us strength, and makes us noble." Peter explained, remembering how Nightcrawler explained that the goal in life is to create a legacy that'll live on forever. "This same hero that's inside all of us allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes… we have to be steady and give up the things we want the most. Even our dreams." The last part of Peter's speech was not only Aunt May's words, but it completely described how he's feeling right now. His dream, his dreams of reuniting with Mary Jane, restoring his friendship with Harry, and many other things have been crushed.
Maybe it was time for him to give up on these things ever happening.
Peter went on to look at Aunt May's closed casket, and would say these words in a sorrowful voice.
"Aunt May, I promise my love for you will never end. Say hi to Uncle Ben for me."
One more pause, before saying these last words to his aunt.
"I'm really gonna miss you."
The X-Men looked on as Peter finished speaking, showing concerned looks for the man that's been through so much pain and despair.
I'll miss you, my buddy
I'll miss you, my friend
I promise my love for you will never end
Really gonna miss you
Sometime later…
BGM: Aaliyah – I Care 4 U
After the funeral was over, Peter could be seen sitting outside by himself, letting all his thoughts overtake him. For the longest time now, he hasn't had any answers to any of his questions. The uncertainty, the eeriness of silence, along with Aunt May's death being so unexpected was making him question everything.
His mind is foggy. He's so confused.
Why does the cruel, cold world feel the need to always beat him down? How much more can one man take? At this point, Peter has lost nearly everything, and everyone close to him. This is simply the truth, and sometimes, the truth can be hard to digest. He's never experienced or seen a Hell so cold. Somehow, someway, he's able to survive the onslaught that's routinely thrown at him, but the same couldn't be said for the people around him.
"Peter?"
Upon hearing somebody call his name, Peter turned around. He saw that it was Rogue, who appeared to be very worried about him. Once she was close enough, she sat down right in front of him, wanting to be at his level. Without hesitation, Rogue embraced Peter in a heartfelt hug, and in a moment of extreme vulnerability, Peter began to let his tears flow while hugging her back. Everything he's been through, all the agony, torture, and suffering, he was letting it all out right now. Sometimes, crying is seen as a form of weakness, but in a lot of cases, especially for somebody like Peter Parker, it just means that he's been strong for way too long.
"I got ya, sugah." Rogue assured him, her voice being soft and sweet. Seeing him like this broke the southern belle's heart, and it made her not want to ever let him go.
"I'm here for you."
Meanwhile with the rest of the X-Men…
BGM: Sonic Adventure – Event: Sadness
"This is all my fault," Storm declared, clenching her fists in frustration. "If I was strong enough, Aunt May would still be alive. Jean and Charles would still be here." She not only felt like she failed Peter, but she failed the X-Men. And now, the fate of every mutant is hanging in the balance, depending on the choice President Kelly makes.
"If anyone should be blamed, it's me," stated Jubilee, her tone being somber. "I was the last one to see Aunt May before she died. I was the one trying to protect her… and now she's just… gone."
Beast nodded in disagreement. "Neither of you are to blame," he told them both. He knows it's a natural reaction for people to feel like they could've done more, but there's certain situations you can't always control. "None of us could've seen this coming."
"I saw it coming," Morph pointed out, proceeding to look down at the ground. "Unfortunately, I warned you guys too late." Much like Storm and Jubilee, he's disappointed in himself.
"From what you've told us, it's a miracle that you even managed to give a warning in the first place." Logan said, referring to how long Sinister has been torturing Morph. And to make matters worse, there's apparently two Jean Grey's, and nobody knows which one is the so-called real one. You can also thank Sinister and his cloning for that.
"How's Scott holdin' up?" Gambit questioned, noticing their new leader was nowhere to be found after Aunt May's funeral. After all these horrible events, the news about two Jean's existing took him over the edge.
"Not… great." Deadpool stated, awkwardly rubbing the back of his own head.
"Should we check up on him?" Storm asked, but Logan shook his head.
"I don't know if that's a good idea right now," responded Logan. As much as he and Scott have fought each other over the years, the emotion on his face showed he cared about him. "Grief's a lonely war. For something like this, Scott's gotta figure it out on his own."
Upon hearing Logan's reasoning, Nightcrawler felt the need to comment. "Sadly, much like Peter, Scott isn't simply battling mere grief."
Meanwhile with Scott…
BGM: Gary B.B. Coleman – The Sky Is Crying
Scott was separated from the rest of the X-Men, wanting to be alone for the time being. He could be seen standing by a large lake, and much like Peter, his mind was running wild. New Jersey is a mess, Aunt May is gone, Charles is gone, Jean is gone, and the fact that he doesn't even know if the Jean he's married to is the real one… Yeah, let's just say he's going through it right now.
He began to emit a strong, yet frustrated yell from his vocal cords. Then, deciding to let all his anger out, he took off his sunglasses and shot an overwhelmingly powerful ruby colored beam from his eyes. The beam itself rocketed into the rainy sky, having ripples of light. Shortly afterwards, he moved his head to direct the beam straight at the lake, causing it to split. Throughout this entire process, Scott was still screaming at the top of his lungs, effectively resembling a broken man who clearly had no idea what to do.
Eventually, Scott closed his eyes to stop the beam. He would put his sunglasses back on, and afterwards, he quickly fell to his knees while proceeding to punch the ground beneath him with his fists. The more he punched, his knuckles slowly became bloodier and bloodier, but he didn't care. He felt like he had to punch something before he completely lost it. But then again, judging by what he's been doing, you could argue that he's already lost it.
"Well, I certainly chose quite the time to see you again."
Scott stopped dead in his tracks when he heard a voice that seemed to be close by. Additionally, this voice… sounded familiar.
Too familiar, to be exact.
Slowly turning around, Scott looked to see who was speaking to him. Deep down, though, he already knew the answer. The voice came from a beautiful woman with long blonde hair, and blue eyes. She has a curvaceous figure, and she's not afraid to show it with her costume. Her attire consisted of an all-white tank top that revealed some of her cleavage, along with wearing long gloves that covered her arms. She also wears a cape, with the top of it having fur. Her white jeans are held by a belt, and for her footwear, she wears white heels. Finally, she wears a white collar around her neck, and has red lipstick.
"Emma?" Scott managed to say, making the woman smirk widely.
"The one and only." she declared. One thing's for sure, this woman never lacks confidence.
Ladies and gentlemen, introducing Emma Frost.
Currently, Scott wasn't sure what to think. "What do you want?" he questioned, being on his guard.
"Scott, I'm insulted." Emma playfully replied, placing her hands on her hips. "You assume I'm only here because I want something, when in fact, it's the total opposite." she explained, which caused Scott to become silent. Then, Emma paused, intentionally adding some form of drama before telling him the reason why she's here right now.
"I'm here to help you."
Back with Rogue and Peter…
BGM: Spider-Man 2002 OST by Danny Elfman - Alone
Rogue was doing her best to be there for Peter, and while the hero known as Spider-Man truly appreciates her kindness… some part of him wanted to be alone right now. Clear his head. Think about where he wants to go from here.
"Rogue…" Peter started off, while adding, "Thank you. Thank you for everything. But… I gotta go." he said, but after replaying it in his mind, he figured he had to add more. "I need to clear my head and get away from everything."
While it hurt Rogue to hear him say this, it's not like she didn't understand why he was saying this. Not all people heal the same way. "I understand," she managed to say, as some form of reluctance could be found in her voice, but she's trying to fight it. "If you need me or anybody else from the X-Men, don't hesitate to reach out." she honestly told him. "Just… try your best to take care of yourself, okay?"
Peter, who at first didn't know how to exactly respond, became quiet for a few short moments. Take care of yourself. It sounds so simple. And heck, sometimes, it can be simple for other people. But for Peter Parker? For Spider-Man? It's never that simple. He couldn't say yes or no to Rogue's statement, so he went with the most neutral option available.
"I'll try." Peter responded, before leaping into the air, and in mere moments, he could be seen web-swinging away. Rogue was watching him swing in the distance with caring, yet worried eyes, and when his body couldn't be seen anymore, that's when she decided it was time to meet up with the rest of the X-Men.
Back with the rest of the X-Men…
Speaking of the rest of the X-Men, somebody on the team would receive a message on his pager. To be specific, it was Logan's pager, and when he looked at who was trying to contact him, his eyes widened. He wishes this person could've contacted him on another day, because he feels like he shouldn't leave the X-Men right now given how insane everything has been. But this… this is something he simply can't ignore.
"What is it, Logan?" Jubilee questioned, causing him to look at not only her, but everyone else.
"Something important came up." he said, intentionally being vague.
"Ooh, is this some sorta James Bond level secret mission?" asked Deadpool, rubbing his hands together like an absolute madman. "Take me with you!"
"Nope," Logan bluntly said, but Deadpool wouldn't give up so easily.
"Aw, come on! Think about it!" Deadpool exclaimed, wrapping his arm around Logan while using his free hand to paint the entire picture. "Deadpool and Wolverine. The perfect premise of an awesome buddy cop movie filled with multiversal cameos. A recipe that's guaranteed to make the Feige Cinematic Universe over a billion dollars!" he stated, breaking the fourth wall while directly looking at the readers of this story.
Clearly, Logan was becoming more annoyed. "Get your hand off of-!"
Before Logan could finish, Deadpool would cut him off. "There's absolutely NO reason why the author of this fic wouldn't make us go on a mission together. He'd be capitalizing on the movie's hype and get a bunch of follows and favorites!"
"What in the world is he talking about?" Morph said, being absolutely baffled by Deadpool's antics.
"I'll bring up a better question. Who is he talking to?" Storm added, scratching the back of her head in utter confusion.
"He always seems to be talking to himself. Very peculiar, I must say." stated Beast, folding his arms while nodding at the sight.
"My thoughts and prayers go out to him," Nightcrawler spoke, his tone being very serious.
"He's definitely on drugs, right?" Jubilee figured there was no other explanation for Deadpool's erratic behavior.
"Y'all gotta remember he ain't never been right in the head." Gambit pointed out, catching the attention of Deadpool in the process.
"Oh really?" Deadpool didn't like Gambit's comment whatsoever. So, he started to think of a way to get some sweet revenge, and when he saw Rogue returning to the group, this is when he had his lightbulb moment. Looking directly at Rogue, he would shout out, "Hey, Rogue! Did I ever tell you about the time that Gambit started an argument with Peter?!" he yelled, causing Gambit's eyes to become cartoonishly wide, and it effectively caught Rogue's attention. It made the southern belle raise an eyebrow, and her face showed she didn't like what she just heard.
"Excuse me?" Rogue said, anger being in her voice while she proceeded to place her hands on her hips.
"He's lyin'!" Gambit spoke, looking at Rogue, but by the look on his face, he knew he was done for.
"OBJECTION!" Deadpool declared, exaggeratingly pointing at Gambit. "I might be a snitch, but I'm not a liar!" He had no plans on ending his reign of terror, and went on to look directly at Rogue once more. "Gambit was so jealous of Peter hanging out with you that he felt the need to threaten him on the VERY FIRST day he moved in with us!" Somebody needs to stop this maniac. "The impudence! The audacity! The unmitigated gall!"
Gambit would try his best to get out of this predicament. "Deadpool, if you don't shut up-!"
"I will not shut up, thank you very much!" Deadpool didn't even let Gambit finish his sentence, but then a singular sound could be heard.
SNIKT!
BGM: Friends Theme Song – I'll Be There For You
For better or worse, one person had enough of Deadpool's instigating. Wolverine had used his claws to stab Deadpool right in the stomach, making the merc with a mouth suddenly scream in pain. "I'm so SICK of your crap!" shouted Wolverine.
"Aww, you don't mean that, peanut!" retorted Deadpool, but for Wolverine, the peanut nickname was the last straw.
"RAAAAAAHHHHH!"
Yep, that was Wolverine's response, and immediately afterwards, he slammed Deadpool's body onto the ground and started stabbing him repeatedly. Large amounts of blood started to splatter all over the place due to this. However, Deadpool wouldn't go down so easily. When he saw an opening, Deadpool quickly brought out his katanas and stabbed Wolverine right in his chest. Using this moment to potentially turn the tide of this battle, Deadpool kicked Wolverine off him, which ultimately created some good distance between the two.
Both of them rose to their feet, having fire in their eyes.
"You do remember that you can't kill me, right?!" Deadpool reminded.
"I don't care!" Wolverine replied, gritting his teeth.
Upon hearing Wolverine's response, Deadpool sighed loudly and shrugged. He knew there was no way outta this one. "Alright, fine! You wanna go?!" the merc shouted, bringing out his twin IWI Desert Eagle Mark XIX pistols. "Then let's $ #&*^% go!" It was at this moment that Deadpool realized there was a disturbance in the force. "Wait a second! Did the author just censor me?! ME?! DEADPOOL?! Oh, this is wrong on SO many levels! Readers, tell the author to make this story rated M or we riot!"
"Let's $ #&*^% go!" Wolverine yelled, not realizing or caring he was censored as well. He had more important matters to worry about anyway. He was coming after Deadpool like a wild beast, completely acting on primal instinct.
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
Deadpool was unloading the clip, but in Wolverine's pursuit, he was taking those gunshots like a man full of pure, unadulterated testosterone. Wolverine knows he won't be able to kill Deadpool, but at the very least, he can torture him. What followed afterwards was an absolute bloodbath, leaving the rest of the X-Men to watch the insanity taking place before them.
Beast could only shake his head in embarrassment and facepalm himself while seeing this fight unfold. "Oh dear…"
"Should we try to stop this?" Jubilee asked in a weirdly casual tone.
"Yuck, hard pass. I am not getting in the middle of that just to get stabbed and killed, thank you very much." Morph wanted to make that clear to everyone so there wouldn't be any doubts about where he stood.
"I'm ashamed to know either of them." Storm said, as it was clear she also had no interest whatsoever in being part of the mess she was witnessing.
"Once again, I give out my thoughts and prayers," Nightcrawler repeated. He was called here to say a eulogy for Aunt May. He was not called here to stop a fight.
As for Gambit and Rogue, things were not going well. "Just let me explain, Chere!" Gambit exclaimed.
"Save it, Remy!" Rogue yelled, clearly not being in the mood to hear what Gambit had to say. Instead, she walked away from all the current madness, feeling the need to be alone for the time being. Speaking of the current madness, it looked like Deadpool and Wolverine's fight wasn't going to stop anytime soon. Lots of grunting could be heard.

Washington, D.C.
The White House
BGM: Henry Jackman – Frankenstein's Monster
The recent tragedy in New Jersey was causing more of a divide between humans and mutants all over the world. Due to this, President Robert Kelly has been a very busy man when it comes to reaching a verdict. If this happened in his earlier days, then there would've been no hesitation on his part. He already would've ordered for every mutant to be locked up immediately, and if they resisted… Well, there is such a thing called lethal force.
But again, President Kelly was a different person back then. His views changed when the X-Men saved him more than a couple of times, most notably from an assassination attempt by Mystique. This made him become more open minded and acknowledge the fact that mutants are also human beings.
However, here's his dilemma.
The same team that saved his life was apparently responsible for the large number of lives that were lost in New Jersey.
President Kelly pinched the bridge of his nose, as it lightly represented his frustration. He became lost in thought, but… let's just say he wouldn't be like that for long.
Soon, his thoughts would get interrupted, as the doors of the Oval Office suddenly opened. "Protect the president!" ordered the Secret Service agents, and shortly afterwards, everyone would get a better view of who decided to barge in unannounced.
The person in question is a tall, well-built man who has blue and grey eyes. His hair is silver, but it's covered by his red helmet. For his costume, he wears a full-body suit in red with purple band-formed gloves, boots of metal reinforced leather, a pair of purple trunks with a purple belt, a fully covering neckpiece in purple metal with large half-spheres of metal attached to it around the neck, a rectangular piece of purple metal on the chest, and a huge purple cloak.
"Magneto?" President Kelly managed to say, being shocked at his sudden appearance. "You better have a REALLY good reason for barging in like this!"
While Magneto heard President Kelly's words, he was also taking note of all the Secret Service agents aiming their guns at him. He shook his head in utter disgust, and with a singular flick of his wrist, he removed the guns from their hands by using his powers. Since all the agents were now defenseless, Magneto figured it was time to get down to business.
"President Kelly, I come to you with a proposal."
Nighttime In New York City
Chrysler Building
BGM: Spider-Man: The Animated Series 1994 Soundtrack – Power and Responsibility
"Poor Peter Parker."
Spider-Man could be seen perched on top of the Chrysler Building, wondering where he should go from here. Unfortunately, the more he wondered, the more he thought about recent events. The words of Jean Grey were still repeatedly echoing in his mind. It was enough to make anybody go absolutely crazy.
"No mother. No father. No uncle. No Harry. No Marry Jane. And now… no Aunt May."
Where did that last part come from? Jean didn't say anything about Aunt May during their fight. Did Peter automatically add Aunt May's name to the list? Whatever the case may be, this wasn't helping him at all.
"All alone."
Spider-Man immediately reached for his head, screaming at the top of his lungs. For a moment, it seemed like the loudest sound in the city that never sleeps. This pain… mental pain to be exact… It's not ordinary. Yes, he's been through trauma, but should the pain ever feel like this?
"You're supposed to be some kind of hero, yet you can't even save the people you love. What type of hero is that?"
While feeling like he was going through the worst headache in the history of mankind, his breathing started to become heavier. The bad memories were appearing in his mind at a way more frequent rate. Uncle Ben's death, losing Harry, losing Mary Jane, losing Aunt May, and many other things continued to show up.
"Maybe if you were good enough, you could've actually saved them!"
Loss.
"How can one man have all the power in the world, but yet continue to find ways to fail in every aspect of life?"
That's all he knows.
"I DIED because of YOU!"
Loss.
SCREECH!
And if he wasn't careful, he could find himself falling off the Chrysler Building. But… at this point, would he even really care? Maybe he would just let the fall happen so he can put himself out of his misery. Then again, he wouldn't doubt it if he somehow survived the fall in the first place.
But before the intrusive thoughts could win, Spider-Man felt a hand grip onto his arm, as the force of the grip was singlehandedly bringing him back to safety. Next, when he looked to see who was preventing him from possibly committing suicide, he was surprised. This person is a gorgeous woman who could be seen wearing a tight black costume that accentuated her natural curves. Additionally, she had a black mask that rested on her face, revealing her blue eyes. She wears white gloves that form retractable claws at the fingertips, while having a black collar around her neck. Finally, she wears red lipstick, and has long, white hair.
"Spider, you're starting to scare me."
Spider-Man, who was still fighting through his pain, heard what the woman said. And by the sound of her voice, she was very much worried about him.
"Cat…?" Spider-Man said, his vision constantly going from clear to blurry. "Is that really you?
The woman in question… is no one other than The Black Cat. Though, when she heard Spider-Man's response, her concern for him only increased. "He's worse than I thought." Black Cat told herself, before saying, "Yes, it's me." she assured him.
Slowly, Spider-Man's vision returned to normal, and as he tried to gather his thoughts, he would eventually say something. "I thought you were helping Morbius and Blade fight vampires?"
"I was," Black Cat confirmed, "But then… I heard what happened in New Jersey, and everybody's saying you played a role." She would then place a hand on Spider-Man's shoulder. "I know you'd never be responsible for something like that, but that also doesn't mean you don't need support either." she told him, and boy oh boy, was she right about that. And considering that Spider-Man could've fallen off the Chrysler Building a few moments ago, she figured she was just in time too.
Spider-Man and Black Cat have a complicated relationship, to put it lightly. Fortunately, even with all the complications, they still care about each other.
Without a doubt, Spider-Man appreciated Black Cat checking up on him. "Thanks, Cat." he sincerely told her. "I've been going through a lot lately."
"I can tell." Black Cat replied, pausing for a moment. She wanted to tell him something, but considering his mental state, she's also debating if this was the right time.
Being able to tell that Black Cat was holding something back, it forced Spider-Man to ask a question. "You wanna tell me something?" he said.
A sigh escaped Black Cat's lips. "It's that obvious, huh?"
"Yup." Spider-Man replied, and suddenly, it's like the air became a lot heavier due to the seriousness of the situation.
Knowing there was no way outta this one, Black Cat knew she had to share something. "Spider…" she paused, looking down at the city. "The word on the street says somebody dangerous is coming after you."
This warning piqued Spider-Man's interest, and obviously, he wanted to get to the bottom of this. He's fought plenty of dangerous people before, so this is nothing new to him.
"Okay, I'll bite. Who is it?"

Deadpool: Hello, beautiful readers! Welcome to the Deadpool and Honey Badger Podcast. Wolvie, thanks for agreeing to be my co-host.
Wolverine: I never agreed.
Deadpool: *SNEEZE* Whoops, sorry! I'm just allergic to your BS. Anyway, lots of stuff happened in this chapter. To analyze everything, we were able to bring in a special guest for our very first episode, and from the looks of it, he's more excited to be here compared to Wolvie.
Gambit: You know how long I've been waitin' for this? Woo, I'm boutta make a name for myself here!
Deadpool: Yes, Gambit. That's exactly what I say when I step into Costco and see the samples are being put out.
Wolverine: Can I leave now?
Deadpool: No! Okay, let's get back on track here. Gambit, why do you hate Peter?
Wolverine: *Facepalm* Oh God…
Gambit: Gambit don't hate Peter.
Deadpool: So, you're tellin' me if you saw Rogue and Peter sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G, you would be completely fine with it?
Gambit: That ain't the same question!
Wolverine: Wouldn't the Web-Head die if he did actually kiss her?
Deadpool: MOOOOOVING ON! With the appearance of Emma in this chapter, do you guys think she's gonna be a homewrecker when it comes to Scott and Jean?
Wolverine: Do you really want us to answer that?
Gambit: Next question.
Emma: What's this about me being a homewrecker?
Deadpool: *GASP* Only people who know the secret password can be on this podcast, so how are you here?!
Emma: Your 'secret' password is literally called password.
Wolverine: Deadpool, why are you the way that you are?
Deadpool: That question requires me to blab about my hardcore origin story, which I'm not gonna do. Oh, by the way, my MARVELous readers, make your predictions on who contacted Wolvie and what Magneto is gonna do. And also make your predictions on who Black Cat was talking about in her convo with Spidey!
Spider-Man: I'm definitely going to get traumatized again.
Rogue: Wait, y'all got a podcast now?
Storm: I'm shutting everything down.
Deadpool: Storm, no!
ZAP!
Boom!
*Podcast Ends*
Author's Note: Well, if it wasn't already obvious enough, I watched Deadpool and Wolverine during the opening weekend, lol. I loved it. I've been meaning to update this fic ever since I saw the movie, but ya know, life happens. Nonetheless, I had a ton of fun making this chapter. Speaking of this chapter, if you enjoyed it, then make sure to LEAVE A FOLLOW AND A FAVORITE! Don't forget to READ AND REVIEW! See y'all next time. Excelsior!
