Hermione snuggled more into Cedric's chest as she watched a kneazle pad across the Black Lake, walking over it like as if it was not even water. It looked at them and their abandoned picnic. Hermione's eyes could not look away from the creature as she remembered a saying that her grandmother had always told her. If a mysterious cat like creature appeared in your dreams, it was time to wake up because they were an omen. Good or bad, that depended on the creature. Hermione relaxed a little though as the kneazle stopped in the middle and began to scratch itself, not looking unlike Crookshanks. Hermione could feel a small vibration behind her as Cedric said her name softly.

Cedric was trying as gently as he could to move Hermione from her upright sleeping position, to one more horizontal. She might be young, but even a night spent sleeping up right was going to be painful in the morning. He has tried his best and so now her back was pressed against his chest so that she didn't fall over. He could feel her stir a little before a very low and sleepy voice said his name.

"Cedric?"

He looked down as Hermione began to half wake. "Yes, love?"

"I've missed you," She said still in a half sleeping state.

"I've missed you too."

"Mhmm, don't forget you promised-" She yawned.

"I promised?" He prompted, forgetting all about the small whispered conversation he'd been having with Harry while he was trying to move Hermione to a more comfortable position.

"Yes," She yawned. "Picnic, Black Lake." She finished.

"I did, didn't I?" Cedric grinned, not helping himself because his girlfriend was just too gosh darn cute sometimes. And it seemed that any time that they spent too far apart, she just got cuter.

"Where, aren't we?" Hermione began to wake, remembering where she was. "Cedric!" She nearly yelped, then covered her mouth with her hand. "What are you doing in the Gryffindor common room?" She whispered harshly.

"Because I wanted to see you," Cedric grinned.

"But how?"

At last Harry awkwardly coughed, having been completely forgotten. He'd been debating with himself for the past several minutes to speak to Cedric aside, but Cedric seemed to have quite the tunnel vision when it came to Hermione Granger. "I brought him,"

"Harry!"

"Yes, but it seems that you guys are now occupied so I'm just going to head to bed. Um I'll see you both tomorrow. G'night." He finished before high tailing it to the boys dorm.

The couple watched him basically flee before turning to look at each other.

"You should,"

"I should," the both began to say at the same time.

"...make time for him tomorrow." They finished simultaneously, looking at each other astonished.

"It's been a long day," Cedric admitted as he sat down fully on the couch with Hermione. He swung her legs up so that she was lounging with him.

"I would ask you what's been going on but I barely feel functional."

Cedric frowned as he saw that Hermione did not look like she'd been eating or sleeping as of late.

As if she could read his mind, Hermione laid her once again sleepy head against Cedric's chest, almost feeling like as if she was dreaming again. "It's not all your fault."

"But partially,"

"Well, yes," Hermione snuggled against him.

"I'm sorry Meems," Cedric whispered as he kissed the side of her temple.

Hermione sighed as she leant more into him, much of her stress leaving her as she felt Cedric's solid chest against her. "I wish we could stay like this and sleep together in front of the fire place like we did at Grimmauld." Hermione murmured as Cedric gently ran his fingers through her hair, but the romantic gesture became a little less romantic when his finger got caught on a knot on the second stroke.

"Then why don't you sleep in the Head Boy's room with me?"

Hermione lifted her head up and cocked it away from Cedric. "What?"

"Well I mean we could get you into the boys Hufflepuff dorms but I think the boys turned my bed into a makeshift bench for their school supplies while I was gone and I haven't been back there to check it out. And at the Head's dorm, we won't have to share the room with anyone else.

"But Alexi-"

"She may have taken over the common place but my bedroom is completely untouched." Cedric said with conviction. If Hermione wanted to sleep in the same bed, he was not going to let the opportunity walk away from him.

"But," Hermione began but had nothing else to fnish her sentence up with. "I don't know..."

Hermione woke up the next morning to the sweet smell of a fresh pastry and English tea.

"Good morning," Cedric grinned as he could see that she was finally waking up and stirring.

"Is that?" She asked after taking a long sniff, her eyes opening slowly as she sat up in bed.

"Chocolate croissant, your favorite? Yes." Cedric grinned as he saw her eyes grow wide. People complimented his eyes but Hermione Granger's caramel ones beat his hands down. Her every emotion could be seen in her eyes.

"Why are you so amazing?" Hermione asked as she reached over for a chocolate croissant.

"I was born that way," Cedric teased as he teasingly moved the plate away from his girlfriend. She gave him a small huff and half offended gasp. "Come on Mimi, you know you want it."

"Hey! I just paid you a nice compliment!" Hermione huffed scrambling to her knees before her lunged for the plate.

"I know and it really does wonders for my ego, but this was my goal the whole time." Cedric said as he caught Hermione halfway to her croissant and placed her knees on his lap. "How did you sleep?" He asked as he looked up at her, his hands around her waist.

Hermione looked down and wanted to sigh, she really did. Sometimes Cedric Diggory was too much for her. If there was ever a specimen for the perfect romantic boyfriend, she had a feeling her boyfriend would be up there. As for her, she barely knew how to be a girl (as Ron had pointed out a few times before), much less a good girlfriend. As she looked down at him glancing at her with so much love and kindness, she couldn't help it but lean down and kiss him. Cedric kissed her back with just as much vigor if not more. Still, he'd tried to keep her breakfast away from her so she quickly pulled back before he could lower her back into the bed.

"Good, I have to admit you have a nice bed." She answered his question teasingly, leaving him agape that she would abruptly cut off their passionate kiss just like that. "What," She finally grabbed her chocolate croissant, "about you?" She asked as she bit into it.

"Now that was just mean." Cedric said making a face at her.

Hermione swallowed her bite before sticking her tongue out at him. "What time is it?" She asked cautiously, not sure if she wanted to know the answer.

"Half past seven." Cedric answered.

Hermione's eyes widened as she realized that it was too late, everyone would be walking up and down the halls! There was no way no one would notice that she was wearing her robes from yesterday. And she definitely could not leave wearing Cedric's flannel bottoms and cotton top!

"When I got your favorite breakfast from the kitchens, Dobby offered to do a quick clean of your robes. They are waiting for you in the bathroom."

Hermione smiled and then laughed as Cedric's pleased expression. "I swear you can read my mind, it's creepy but somehow I also find it romantic. I must really love you huh,"

"And I love you," Cedric gave her a peck.

"Where were you at breakfast?" Ian asked as the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw 7th years headed to their favorite class...

"Five galleons that Putrid Pink will be glaring daggers at our golden boy here, the whole class." Robbie said as he swung his arms over Cedric and Ian.

"Oh I'm in, I'll even double it." Brice chimed in.

"Oh brother," Wendy rolled her eyes as she caught up with them.

Riley Ann slowed down to walk beside them. "I don't know if you can even have an efficient bet, no one wants to wager otherwise with how vindictive that one is." She piped up, looking at Brice and Robbie.

"Riley, Riley, you would be surprised at how stupid seventeen year old boys can be." Robbie tsked at her.

"I don't think I'd be surprised at all." She said looking specifically at Brice.

"Hey, why are you only looking at me like that?" Brice asked causing everyone to laugh.

"But Cedric, you know we have your back, whatever happens." Riley said solemnly.

Cedric nodded at her. "I know thank you Riley Ann." He grinned at her supporting. Riley nodded back at him before walking back to her friends.

"You know you seem awfully cheery and... golden considering we're going into one of Dante's circles of hell." Ian eyed him.

This time it was Heidi's turn to giggle. "I think I know why," She practically sang.

"Ohhh, I want to hear." Wendy turned to her.

"Someone saw a house elf handing Cedric freshly laundered robes early this morning with a Gryffindor crest on it."

"What?" The boys practically yelled.

"What is this, we even cleaned off your bed for you last night!" Brice exclaimed.

"You lucky dog," Robbie said as he playfully jumped on Cedric.

"100 points off Hufflepuff for being late and fooling around before class!" A shrill voice said quickly cutting off their short lived reunion.

"Ugh, the nightmare begins." Ian muttered.

As they had expected, Umbridge was even less pleasant than she usually was which was saying a lot. Cedric was the target of much of her mirth but he knew the book front to cover thanks to his girlfriend that he could give it right back at her, including with anything his parents and relatives had taught him growing up.

By the end of the lesson, Hufflepuffs had lost a grand total of 300 house points and Ravenclaws lost just a little under half.

As Cedric passed one of the Ravenclaw boys holding the door for them, Cedric loudly announced. "20 points to Ravenclaw for courteous exemplary behavior to fellow classmates."

The 7th years behind them, both Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw had to hide their laughs with coughs.

Sorry that not a lot is happening right now, I'm trying to build it up to the scene for DA but wanted to write little bit of the two before I went straight to that!
