Episode 10: Taming of the Shroomish
This adventure begins as Mew and her friends are on a hill overlooking a large city. The Pokemon are amazed to see the city.
May breathes deeply, "Ah! That smells great!"
"What smells great? The air pollution, garbage or the car exhaust?" Max questions.
"No. It's the wonderful scent of the big city," May says.
"You're right, May," Mew says, "I guess we've been traveling in the woods so long, I forgot what that smells like."
"Guess we all do," Mew says.
Mew and her friends soon head to the city known as Rinshin Town, their first stop in a city in quite some time. They walk along the streets to look around.
"Like they say, you can take the girl out of the city, but you can't take the city out of the girl, now can you?" May happily says, "Now where should we start? Maybe a little window shopping, followed up with dinner at a nice restaurant, and then, let's see…"
"It's been a long time since I ate food in the city," Mew says.
Pikachu and Eevee agree.
"This would also be a good time to stock up on supplies, too. So…" Brock says and gets out the guide book, "Alright. Let's check out the town map."
May soon looks at the guidebook, "I didn't know you had that! Quick, let's go!""
"You know, I bet if we look really hard, we can find some cool sorta city type Pokémon!" Max says.
"Zigzagoon," (Maybe.) Zigzagoon says, sitting on Max's head.
"That sounds good, but it wouldn't hurt to grab some lunch first," Mew says.
"Okay, then I might as well just go with you," Max says.
"Yeah. I'm hungry too," Molly says.
"Me too," Tomo and Jen say.
"Alright," Mew says, "We're gonna go get something to eat, okay guys?"
"Sounds good, then we'll meet up back at the Pokémon Center, okay?" Brock replies.
"Yeah!" Everyone replies.
Elsewhere, at a dilapidated old mansion, a construction crew is at work.
One of the workers says, sounding uneasy, "Boy, this old mansion sure gives me the creeps."
Another worker soon says, "Did you hear? Another guy. Fifth worker this week just up and quit."
"There's something really weird about this old place. No doubt," The first worker says.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket is seen among the workers as James revs up a chainsaw.
"I can't hear ya!" Meowth says.
"Open up those big ears!" James shouts
"My ears are wide open! Why don't you open up your mouth?!" Meowth shouts.
"If I open my mouth any wider, something will fly into it!" James shouts.
"Well, guess what? I might just be my fist if you don't watch out!" Meowth shouts.
James turns off the chainsaw, "Oh really?"
Then Jessie comes over, "Hey, you two! Break it up! Work the chainsaw instead of your mouth? If I have to spend another minute in this jumpsuit, I'm gonna scream."
"Yes. They do have a tendency to ride up," James says.
"I predict Jessie's being so irritable cause she's hungry. And as I saw and hoid on a commoicial, you're not you when you're hungry," Meowth says.
"Really, Meowth? Why do you say that?" James asks.
"Astute observations, see?" Meowth says.
Jessir angrily says, "Get back to work or I'll give you astute right between the eyes! And besides that, I'm not hungry!
However, Jessie's growling stomach suggests otherwise.
Jessie mopes, "Well, maybe I could use a nibble."
"Yeah. Doin' all of dis manual labor until we catch dat Pikachu and Eevee is exhaustin'," Meowth says.
"And until that glorious moment, I'm afraid we'll just have to work for money," James says.
"I guess you two are right. But there's just one thing…" Jessie says before she shouts, "WHAT IF ALL THIS HEAVY LIFTING LEAVES ME LOOKING MORE LIKE A MUSCLEBOUND MACHOKE THAN MY USUAL MAGNIFICANCE?!"
"Wobbu! Fett!" (Not good, Jess!) Wobbuffet says.
Meanwhile, May and Brock come across a fashion shop.
May says, "Look, Brock. All of the latest styles. Aren't they great?"
"Oh, yeah. Gorgeous," Brock says.
May soon looks at another window, "And those accessories are beautiful."
And Brock says, "You know, May, before we get too involved in clothes shopping, perhaps we should invest in some new supplies and medicine?"
"Oh, Brock. Later. The time for fashion is now," May says.
Then May happily hums while Brock sighs and groans
Meanwhile, Mew and the rest of the gang exit the restaurant after getting some lunch.
"That burger really hit the spot," Tomo says
"Skwovet!" (The fries were great!) Skwovet says.
"Yeah," Molly says.
"That's great, guys. Now can we go looking for some Pokémon? Huh?" Max asks.
"Sure," Mew says.
"Let's go," Jen happily says.
Max runs off and peeks into an alley.
"It's my bet that city Pokémon hang out in alleyways so they won't be spotted," Max says, and runs ahead.
"But won't it be hard to find them if they live in the city?" Molly asks.
"Yeah, that's probably true," Max says and peeks into another alley, "Wait! Look there!"
The others look in there.
"What is it?" Molly asks.
"Let us see," Jen says.
"Amaura!" (Let us see.) Amaura says.
What they spot is a snoozing Pokemon. A small fungus Pokémon similar to a mushroom. It has beady black eyes and a half-triangle-shaped mouth. Its upper body is beige with frilled segments along the bottom and a small opening at the top. There are green spots marking its upper body, while its lower body is completely green. It has small, round feet and no visible arms or hands.
"What kind of Pokémon's that?" Molly asks.
"I think it's a Shroomish!" Max says.
"That's cool," Tomo says.
Back with May and Brock.
"Well, that should be enough supplies to hold us for a while, anyway," Brock says.
"Exactly what supplies did you get, Brock?" Max asks.
"You know, emergency provisions and ingredients to make Pokémon food, and medicine if anyone's hurt. That way, no matter what we come up against, we'll be ready, right?" Brock says.
May is impressed, "Wow. That's awesome, Brock. You're so reliable and organized."
"No one can plan for travel like me," Brock says.
Suddenly, they hear someone say, "Did you say cursed?"
"You mean you haven't heard the news? Everybody's talking about it," Another person says.
This has May excited, and approaches the couple, "What news? Are you saying this town is really cursed?"
"Uh, hold on, May," Brock calls out.
The woman then explains, "Well, you see, there's this big, old mansion in town called The Green Lodge, and it's just up ahead."
"Go on. Go on," May says, eagerly.
The woman continues, "There's a bunch of workers there right now tearing the place apart, including the forest in its courtyard. They're saying that the whole place is cursed!"
"Really? "May asks, worried.
"There hasn't been a soul living there for years, but people keep seeing things moving around inside! The workers keep finding fresh footprints in the halls all the time, and some workers say, when they go inside, they can't breathe, or they get really confused and then they pass out," The woman explains.
Brock instantly panics.
"So if you know what's good for you, you'll stay away from that haunted mansion!" The woman says.
"A haunted mansion, huh? I mean, how awesome is that?" May says, sounding eager.
Meanwhile, Mew and Max approach the Shroomish they found, which wakes up from its nap.
"I can't believe how lucky we are to find a Shroomish already!" Max says.
"It looks cute," Jenny says.
"Let's see," Mew says, bringing out her Pokedex.
Dextette says, "Shroomish, the Mushroom Pokémon. A Grass Type. Shroomish is mild-tempered and inhabits piles of rotting leaves inside of forests."
"It sure doesn't look too happy, though," Max says.
"You're right. Maybe it's hungry," Mew says.
"Well, why don't we give it some Pokémon food?" Jen says.
"Good idea, Jen," Max says.
And presents his hand to Mew, "Is that okay?"
Mew then reaches into her bag as she says, "It's okay with me. But don't you go trying to catch it."
"Hey, don't worry, Mew. I know that, trust me," Mew says, takes the can of food from Mew and opens it, "Nothing wrong with making a new friend, right?"
"You're right. Good point, Max," Mew says.
"Okay. So, here I go, then," Max says, and kneels down, "Hi, Shroomish. How are you doing?" He then opens his hand with the food in it, "I've got some yummy Pokemon food here. So, my name's Max. I'd like us to be friends."
Shroomish just tries to warn him off with a growl.
"Okay…" Max says.
Suddenly, Shroomish starts spraying Stun Spore, causing both group to back up and panic
"That's Stun Spore!" Mew cries out.
And Tomo cries out, "Run for it!"
And the group does just that.
Meanwhile, May is dragging Brock in the direction of the haunted mansion.
"This is a bad idea, May! Let go!" Brock panics.
"Come on! You're acting like a scared little girl!" May says.
"I know, but she said the mansion was haunted!" Brock says, scared.
"Right. And what's more fun than a haunted house? Let's go check it out," May says, sounding very excited.
Meanwhile, Mew and the others peek back into the alley they ran out of
"Looks like Shroomish is done using Stun Spore," Max says.
"Good," Tomo says.
Then Mew passes Max some other Pokemon food, "I got an idea. Try using Brock's Pokemon food."
"Okay," Max says, and takes the food.
Max walks over to the Shroomish once more and says, "Here you go. Try some of Brock's Pokémon food. It's really good."
Shroomish backs up a step.
"Go ahead. I promise, you'll love it," Max.
Zigzagoon decides to jump off of Max's head and have a bite, prompting Shroomish to have a taste. It does so, and it likes it.
Mew smiles, "See? The food is really good. My friend got more, so eat as much as you want to."
Shrioomish happily agrees and eats some more.
Max turns to Mew, "Thanks Mew."
"You're welcome," Max says.
Then Max realizes something, "Wait. There's something strange about this."
"What's that?" Molly asks.
"Don't Shroomish usually live in the forest?" Max replies.
"You're right, Max. Shroomish usually lives in the forest. Mayne this shroomish got separated from its trainer, or maybe left the woods. I think we should take Shroomish over to the Pokémon Center.
"Yeah," Max says.
Then he pulls out a handkerchief, "Okay, here. Take this," and runs up to the Shroomish.
"Hey, what's with the handkerchief?" Tomo asks.
"It's a present," Max says, "There, all done. You look great!"
Max backs up to reveal that the plume where Shroomish sprays its Stun Spore is tied with the handkerchief
"Do you like it, Shroomish?" Max asks.
Shroomish happily hops up and down.
"Hey, Max, that's great. It looks like Shroomish really likes your present," Mew says.
"And now, you and I are buddies, aren't we, Shroomish?" Max says.
Shroomish happily agrees.
Meanwhile, May and Brock arrive at the Green Lodge.
"Look at that. It's so old and run down," May says.
"And, so creepy," Brock says, feeling uneasy.
May walks forward, "I can't wait to see the inside."
'Hey! What are you doing?" Brock asks in a panic.
Brock follows, trying to flag May down.
Just a few seconds later, Mew and the others walk by the gates
"Whoa. Check out that old mansion," Mew says, surprised.
Pikachu and Eevee agree, "It's old.)
"The garden's as big as a whole forest!" Molly says.
Shroomish starts acting blue.
Max soon notices it, "What's the matter, Shroomish?"
"Wonder what's wrong," Mew asks.
"It looks kind of sad," Jen asks.
"Are you okay, Shroomish?" Max asks, concerned.
Unbeknownst to them, they're spotted by Team Rocket.
"Isn't that the twerps?" James asks.
'What are dey doin' here?" Meowth wonders.
Shroomish soon hops out of Max's arms and runs ahead.
"Where're you going, Shroomish?" Max asks.
"Let's follow it. Maybe we'll see why it's so upset," Mew says.
"Kay," Max agrees.
Then the group follows Shroomish.
"Hey Shroomish!"
Zigzagoon!" (Wait for us!) Galarian Zigzagoon calls out.
They soon run after it
"Alright. Now, time to implement a Pikachu and Eevee capture plan," Jessie says.
"Great," James says.
But Meowth asks, "But Jess, what about dis job?"
"Please, capturing Eevee and Pikachu's more important than this part-time job," Jessie says.
"Of course it is," James says.
Then Jessie and James run off.
"Huh? Wait!" Meowth calls out and struggles to hold up the log they were all carrying, "Hey, guys! Where should I set dis log down?!"
Meowth finally collapses under the weight of the log.
"How about here?" Meowth replies.
Meanwhile, Mew and Brock are closer to the mansion.
"Wow. They really let this place go, didn't they?" Mays says, "All sorts of strange things could happen in a place like this."
"Yeah, I'm aware of that," Brock says.
Soon, Max's Shroomish friend runs past them and jumps through a hole in the window.
"What was that Pokemon?" May wonders.
"I think it might've been a…" Brock says.
But soon hears Max'voice, "Shroomish! Wait up!"
Everyone turns and sees Mew and the others running up
"Wait up, Shroomish!" Jen calls out.
"It's Mew, Molly, and Jen," Brock says.
"And Max and Tomo," May adds.
The group soon comes to a stop.
Confused, Mew asks, "What are you guys doing here? I thought you were out buying supplies and stuff."
Suddenly, they hear a voice, "Hey, you kids!"
The group turns to see a man with blue hair, light tan skin, wears a light green shirt, a teal vest, and gray pants.
He walks over and asks, "You're not supposed to be in here, didn't you see the signs? We're cutting down all the trees in this garden, so it's much too dangerous."
"Sorry," Mew says.
Then Max says, "It's just that a Shroomish we found came running here and we were following it."
"Did you say Shroomish?" Alex questions.
"Yeah. It's wearing a blue handkerchief on its head," Mew says.
The man says, "Sorry, but, that's impossible,"
"No, it's not. It was definitely a Shroomish," Mew says.
"And we even fed it some Pokemon food," Max says.
However, the man says, "But that makes no sense. There haven't been any Shroomish in this town for ages."
"Well, that's pretty weird," May says.
"You mean there used to be some?" Brock questions.
"Uh huh," The man says, "When I was a little kid, there were a lot of them around this town. I used to love Shroomish."
The man has a flashback to when he was younger as he explains, "This mansion once belonged to my grandfather. And when I was little, I used to come here often and play with the Shroomish all day long. But as the town got bigger and more and more buildings were built, the forest slowly disappeared. Eventually my grandfather passed away, and soon after that, all the Shroomish disappeared, too. The town council decided the mansion would be destroyed, to make room for new buildings."
As he finishes his story, the flashback ends
"But then, no sooner had demolition begun, these strange things started happening. I just came by today to check things out," The man says.
"That's quite a story!" Brock says.
"When you say strange things, do you mean ghouls and ghosts, eerie footprints and stuff like that? "May asks.
"Well, those are only rumors. Anyway, are you kids positive that you saw a Shroomish go inside this mansion?" The man asks.
Mew and the others nod their heads, "Yeah."
"Well, if that's the case, I'll just have to go inside of it and find out what's going on," The man says.
"That's awesome! We'll go with you, okay?" Mew replies.
Everyone agrees with the idea.
Soon, everyone enters the mansion.
"Oh, wow! This is so exciting!" May says, excited.
"It looks really old," Molly
Max calls out, "Hey, Shroomish! Come on out, Shroomish!
"Shroomish!" Tomo calls out.
And Jen calls out, "Where are you, Shroomish? You can come out now!"
Shroomish!" Mew calls out.
Even the Pokemon call out for Shroomish, but are not answering.
"No sign of it in this part of the house," The man, who he says is Alex, says, "Guess we'll just have to look further inside, huh?"
"Further inside?" Brock asks, worried.
They enter another room and soon spot Shroomish.
"Look! Shroomish!" Max says.
"We found you!" Mew says.
"You were right. There is a Shroomish," Alex says, surprised.
Max approaches his friend to ask, "Shroomish, what's wrong? Why did you run off like that?"
Then May notices something, "Look, guys, it's shivering."
Soon, two other Shroomish approaches.
"There's two more of them," Max says.
"Do you think they're afraid of something?" Molly asks.
Pikachu hops down and approaches the Shroomish, and asks, "Pika Pika?" (You want to talk?)
The Shroomish then communicate with Pikachu.
"You know, Shroomish normally live within the forest, right?" Brock says.
"Yes, but as more and more of the forest has been cut down, they must've moved into the mansion,"
"But now that the mansion's gonna be torn down, too, where will they go?" May wonders.
"Yeah, I bet that's why they're scared," Mew says.
Then Alex spots something, "Well, look at that."
Everyone looks and sees a picture of Alex and his grandfather when he was younger swinging on the swing in the garden with a bunch of Shroomish around
"Hey, is that you with your grandfather when you were little?" Max asks.
"Yes. That is me," Alex says.
"It looks to me like you both were really fond of Shroomish," Brock says.
Alex chuckles with a nod, "Yes, we sure were."
Suddenly, an explosion right behind everyone catches their attention.
What was that?!" Alex asks.
And right on cue, the Team Rocket motto appears.
Jessie:
Prepare for trouble in a cloud of dust!
James:
Make it double, there's no choice, you must!
Jessie:
To protect the world from devastation.
James:
To unite all peoples within our nation.
Jessie:
To denounce the evils of truth and love.
James:
To extend our reach to the stars above.
Jessie:
Jessie.
James:
James.
Jessie:
Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!
James:
Surrender now, or prepare to fight, fight, fight!
Meowth:
Dat's right!
Wobbuffet:
Wobbu Wobbu! (That's a wrap!)
"Not you guys again!" Everyone but Alex exclaims.
"Who else were you expecting?!" James says, and throws his Pokeball, "Go, Cacnea!"
Cacnea comes out, but hugs James instead.
James cries out, "No, please! Stop!"
"Stop playing around, James! "Jessie shouts and throws her Pokeball, "Seviper, go!"
Seviper comes out as Cacnea charges in.
Mew calls out, "Pikachu, Eevee, use Quick Attack, now!"
"Zigzagoon, use Quick attack too!" Max calls out.
All three Pokemon dark in, but the Shroomish quickly stop the battle with their cires.
Max turns to his friend, "Hey, Shroomish, what's the matter?"
Soon, a strange sound is heard.
"James, you feel that?" Jessie asks.
"Something is rumbling," James answers.
"And it ain't my tummy," Meowth says.
Suddenly, a whole army of Shroomish bursts in and runs over Meowth.
May is surprised, "Look at that!"
"A herd of Shroomish!" Brock says.
"They must all be living in this mansion!" Alex says as more Shroomish pile into the room from all over the mansion.
Meowth cries out, "A stampede!"
"I think there's a fungus!" Jessie panics.
"And they're among us!" James cries out.
Then Jessie calls out, "Go, Seviper! Poison Tail, now!"
Seviper charges in and swipes the Shroomish aside with Poison Tail.
"Hey! Stop that!" Mew calls out.
James calls out. Cacnea, Pin Missile, go!
Cacnea fires, but the Shroomish evade before they start to use Stun Spore.
"Dey're usin' Stun Spore!" Meowth cries out.
Then Alex says, "Let's go, everybody! We gotta get out of here!"
"Okay!" Everyone agrees.
Max grabs his Shroomish friend and they all make a break for it while Team Rocket is paralyzed.
"We'll be sticking around for a while longer," Team Rocket cires out.
"Wobbu Wobb!" (We're paralyzed!) Wobbuffet cries out.
Soon, everyone is able to get out of the mansion.
"Man, that was close," Tomo says.
"Loetta," (Too close.) Meloetta says.
Then May says, "So, all of those strange sightings and all the mysterious footprints were just coming from the Shroomish."
"Guess so. And all of the workers who were feeling sick must've been affected by the Stun Spore," Brock adds.
Still surprised, Alex says, "I just can't get over how many Shroomish were still inside that mansion."
Then Max says, "You know what? I don't think the Shroomish were scared at all. I think they're in pain."
"Pain? What in the world would make you think that?" Alex asks.
"I just know, cause I'm friends with them, too, like you, and they told me," Max says, "The Shroomish all want to play with you again, like before. They want to live here with you and be happy again."
"Shroomish Shroo," (Max is right.) Shroomish says.
"I'd like that too," Alex says.
Elsewhere on the mansion grounds, Team Rocket is revealed to have somehow escaped the Shroomish.
"Shroomish. What rude little Pokemon," Jessie says.
"Honestly, I'm appalled!" James says in pain.
"Me, too. And now I tink it's payback time for da little toadstools!" Meowth says, still bitter.
Jessie turns to Meowth, "Okay, do you have a plan, Meowth?"
"One that doesn't involve us getting stunned again?" James asks.
"But does it involve us capturing Pikachu and Eevee? Huh?" Jessie questions.
"Yes! I've got da poifect strategy! Rely on Meowth!" Meowth says.
"Wobbuffet!" (Then let's go!) Wobbuffet happily says.
Back to Mew and the others.
"Shroomish…" Alex says before picking up Shroomish, "Forgive me. I'm so sorry I abandoned you all."
"Shroomish Shroo!" (It's alright!) Shroomish says.
"Shroomish says it's alright," Mew translates.
Then Maz says, "Please stop the construction. You just gotta stop it!"
"Please understand," Alex says.
And Brock says, "Max is right. Where will they all go?"
"Without this mansion, the poor Shroomish won't have any other place to live," May adds.
"They'll all be lost," Tomo says.
"Come on, please, don't tear down their home," Max says.
But Alex says, "I'm sorry. It's too late to stop now."
Suddenly, a rumbling is felt as a tree comes down before our heroes see Team Rocket's newest mecha as they laugh with wicked glee.
"Great. Now what's going on?" May says.
Mew and Brock confirm, "It's Team Rocket!"
"You got dat right, now prepare for a fight!" Meowth says in the robot.
"That's where fast feet come in handy. Stun Spore all you like, we paid for the air-tight protection package!" Jessie says.
"And if it doesn't work properly, there's a money back guarantee!" James says.
"And since dis machine is good at keepin' de air nice and Stun Spore free, we'll be helpin' ourselves to da whole lot of yous!" Meowth says.
Team Rocket then rams into the side of the mansion with a 'yee-haw'
"They're going to force the Shroomish out of the mansion and then try to capture them all!" Brock says.
"Oh, no they won't! Ready, Pikachu? Eevee?" Mew says.
Pikachu and Eevee agree.
"Okay, one more time!" Meowth says.
The machine rams into the wall once more, forcing the Shroomish out through an open window.
"Hello dere!" Mewoth says.
The machine then grabs up Shroomish, two by two, putting them into a basket in the back.
"Okay, Pikachu, Eevee, give em a Thunderbolt attack!" Mew says.
Pikachu launches the attack, but it has little effect.
Pikachu, Eevee, and even Mew are shocked.
"Oh no!" Mew says, shocked.
"Did ya tink we'd forget about addin' an electric-proof shield?!" Meowht says.
Team Rocket continues to grab Shroomish after Shroomish.
Soon, Alastor has enough, "Enough of this nonsense. I think it's time that we all protect, Shroomish."
Shroomish agrees and hops out of Alex's arms before rallying any other Shroomish around and uses Stun Spore.
"Uh oh! The Stun Spore's movin' right towards the city!" Mew says.
Then Brock calls out his Pokemon, "Help us out, Forretress! Go!"
Forretress comes out.
Brock calls out, "Forretress, Rapid Spin!"
Forretress proceed to keep the Stun Spore from escaping the mansion ground.
"Forretress stopped the Stun Spore! Alright!" Max cheers.
"Great idea, guys!" May says.
"What a relief. Thank you," Alex says.
But Meowth laughs, "This piece of machinery is our best investment evah! No Stun Spore at all!"
"But, Meowth, don't you think it's getting a bit stale in here?" Jessie says.
"We're completely sealed off and I am feeling light-headed," James says.
But Meowth reassures, "Don't you worry your light head one bit, cause fresh air's comin' up. Coiculation system on!"
With the press of a button, the windows roll down
"Now that's a much needed breath of fresh air!" James says.
As James finishes his sentence, the Stun Spore blows in.
"But that isn't! We're getting Stun Spore for a second time!" James panics.
"Bad idea, Meowth!" Jessie cries out.
Then Alex calls out, "Go, Shroomish, use your Leech Seed, now!"
All the Shroomish fire the seeds through the windows, which sprout and sap Team Rocket of all their energy
"Do they have to use Leech Seed, too?!" Jessie cries out.
"A double Stun Spore was stunning enough for one day!" James adds, panicking.
"Quite impressive attacks, dose Leech Seeds and Stun Spore gettin' trough our latest, greatest, high-tech air filter!" Mewoth says.
Jessie and James say, "Perhaps it was the open window?!"
Wobbuffet!" (A fair point!) Wobbuffet says.
May then calls out, "Okay, Torchi, come on out and help with those Shroomish!"
And Torchic comes out.
May calls out, "Use Ember!"
Torchic fires the attack and breaks the basket holding the Shroomish.
"Pikachu, Eevee, Thunder attack!" Mew calls out.
They fire the attack and land on them.
Team Rocket cries out, "This has really been a stunning experience!"
With the attacks, they destroy the machine, sending Team Rocket flying.
"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" Team Rocket cries out.
"Good job, everyone," Mew says.
Everyone celebrates as Alex watches on with a smile before his face becomes serious.
Max then asks, "So, will you have to, tear down the mansion?"
"I'm afraid the mansion will have to be destroyed. Sorry," Alex says.
Everyone is shocked and disappointed by the news.

"So what will happen to the Shroomish?" May asks.
"I'm going to plant another forest of trees, and restore the whole area like it originally was for the Shroomish," Alex answers.
Both Max and the Shroomish smile.
"That's a great idea! Thank you!" Max says.
"And we'll all be able to play together again!" Alex says.
"Shroomish Shroomish!" (That sounds perfect!) Shroomish says.
"That'll be fun, Shroomish!" Max happily says.
"Everything turned out to be fine after all," May says.
"Sure did," Tomo says.
"And they'll be back in the forest like they should be," Brock says.
"Yeah," Max says.
Just then, Shroomish snuggles Max, causing the boy to laugh.
Alex smiles and says, "I think Shroomish wants to be with you, Max."
"Really? Do you want to come with me?" Max asks Shroomish.
Shroomish nods.
Max smiles, "Sure Shroomish, you can come with me."
Shroomish smiles in response.
Then May remembers and brings out some Pokeballs, "Oh yeah. Since you got Zigzagoon, I've got some Pokeballs. One for Zigzagoon and you can use one for Shroomish."
"Thanks May," Max says.
Shroomish and Galarian Zigzagoon stand forward.
"Ready guys?" Max asks.
Both Pokrmon nod in response.
Max taps both of them with the Pokeball, causing them both to be put inside. Soon, both Pokeballs shake a few before they both ping.
"Yay! I officially caught Zigzagoon and Shroomish.
Later that evening…
"Goodbye, all you Shroomish! See you later!" Max calls out.
"Take care of yourselves, and thanks again!" Alex calls out.
"You guys all take good care of each other, too!" Mew calls out.
"You too. And Max, take good care of Shroomish," Alex calls out.
"I will," Max says.
Shroomish and Galarian Zigzagoon say their goodbyes as well.
Thanks to a little help from Mew and the others, the Shroomish's home will be returned to the forest it once was. Max has officially caught Zigzagoon and Shroomish, who are now good friends. Imagine what new friends await them as their journey continues.
