Pokemon: Jirachi: Wish Maker Part 3
The next day is the last day of the Millennium Comet, and the gang continue traveling through Forina to the cave where Butler and Diane found Jirachi sometime ago. Just then, they come across the Absol they've encountered once before.
Absol gestures its head and says, "Sol." (Come.)
"It wants us to follow it," Mew says.
"Guess that means Absol's going to lead the way," Diane says.
And with that, everyone begins following Absol. They follow Absol all the way till sundown. As they walk, three Breloom and two Pochyena pop out from behind a rock.
"Look at the Pokemon," Molly says.
"Yeah, check it out," Max says.
Right on cue, as the gang look to their left, they spot a Tropius, a Linoone, an Elektrike and two Nuzleaf before a Flygon comes down on their right.
"A Flygon!"" Max says, amazed.
They're all here to welcome Jirachi home," May says.
The group continues to follow Absol into the cave. Diane turns on a light to guide the way as they continue deep into the heart of the cave.
"The spot where Jirachi slept for 1000 years is just ahead," Diane says.
Soon, Absol says, "Abs Ab," And looks up, "Sol! (The comet. Hurry!) and runs off.
"Absol said the comet is coming and we need to hurry," Mew says.
The group agrees and continues on. Soon, they reach their destination.
Seeing the comet, Jirachi says, "The star. It calls me," And floats off of Max's head.
"Jirachi!" Max calls out and grabs Jirachi, "I don't want you to go. I'm gonna miss you. I don't know if you can really grant wishes, but if you can, then I have a big one for you right now," And drops down, breaking up, "I wish you didn't have to go, so we could stay together forever."
But Jirachi says, "Max. The star. I must."
Jirachi then leaves Max's arms and looks up at the comet before floating up a bit and then stopping.
"Jirachi is getting ready," Diane says.
"Ready?" Jen questions.
"Ready for what?" Brock asks.
"Jirachi will open his true eye, and use it to absorb energy from the Millennium Comet," Diane says.
"What will he do with the energy?" May asks.
Soon, Jirachi's Millennium Eye begins to open.
Diane then explains, "They say that during the thousand years that Jirachi sleeps, all the energy that he absorbs from the comet is slowly released into the earth. Everything that grows in Forina feeds off that energy."
"So then, Jirachi helped make all this?" Max asks.
Ash: Wow!" Mew says, amazed.
"So, Jirachi helped give Forina the life it has," Mew says.
However, just as Jirachi was about to absorb energy from the comet, spikes burst through the rock above and can create an energy field around Jirachi, shocking everyone.
"Jirachi!" Max cries out.
Jirachi is pulled up towards the spikes.
"What's happening?!" Brock cries out.
"I know who, Butler!" Mew says, angrily.
"You're right! He set a trap for us!" Diane says.
"Jirachi is sent further upwards to a waiting Butler who is standing on a platform .
"Showtime! And like every great magician, I saved my best trick for last!" Butler says.
"Let Jirachi go!" Jen calls out.
But Butler says, "For their finale, most magicians would probably end their show with something very obvious, like making a Pokemon disappear. But since I'm not like most magicians, for tonight's show, I'll be making a Pokémon reappear!"
"You're mad!" Diane shouts.
"I'm not mad, just a little angry and disappointed and maybe a wee bit impatient to get on with the show," Butler says.
The spikes soon shoot down energy to surround the group.
"Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it's the moment you've all been waiting for!" Butler says and runs towards his machine.
"Jirachi!" Max calls out.
Butler places Jirachi in the center of his machine and backs up to the switch.
"So, Jirachi, let's do this just like we rehearsed it," Butler says, and pulls the switch.
Soon, an opening reveals the comet, causing a beam to fire from Jirachi's Millennium Eye right at the heavenly body. Soon, Team Rocket spots the beam.
"See dat?" Meowth says.
"Do you think I'm blind?" Jessie asks.
"That would explain the hair," James says.
The beam hits the comet and disappears before the comet emits an explosion of energy and fires a beam right back down to where Jirachi was before Butler activates more devices, once of which starts blasting the ground below.
Then Butler says, "Now Team Magma will learn, they never should have doubted me!"
Down below, it's revealed the machine is drawing a picture of Groudon's head while Pikachu, Eevee, and the other Pokemon try and fail to help the group escape.
"It's no good," Brock says.
Suddenly, Absol runs in before it attacks and destroys one of the spikes.
"Absol!" Mew calls out.
Absol destroys another spike before Flygon flies in and destroys another.
"Flygon!" Tomo says.
Flygon proceeds to destroy another spike with Hyper Beam, resulting in the group being able to get out free. Flygon soon lands.
"Flygon, you gotta help us get up there to save Jirachi," Mew says and climbs on Flygon.
"I'm coming with you," Max says, climbing on.
Pikachu and Eevee do so as well.
"Alright, but just hang on as tight as you can," Mew says.
Max and the Pokemon agree.
"Now, time to save Jirachi," Mew says.
Flygon soon takes to the air.
"Be careful, "May says, worried.
Up in the sky, Mew and Max see the machine drawing out the shape of a Groudon.
"Just seconds from now, Groudon will be standing before me, proving that I was right!" Butler says.
Soon, Flygon soars past Butler, catching his attention.
"Jirachi!" Max calls out
Butler throws a Pokéball, and from it, a Salamence comes out.
Butler calls out, "Salamence, get rid of them!"
Salamence fires a Flamethrower, but misses, only for Flygon to retaliate with a Hyper Beam that also misses before Salamence fires another Flamethrower.
"Salamence!" Butler calls out.
Salamence stops and lets Butler hop on before giving chase after Flygon and the kids while firing Flamethrowers.
"Flygon, watch out!" Mew calls out.
Flygon manages to avoid another Flamethrower.
Mew says, "Max, you Pikachu, and Eevee free Jirachi! Flygon and I will distract Butler."
Flygon continues flying and the chase soon returns to the machine. Flygon stops allowing Max, Pikachu and Eevee to jump off.
"Stop that machine!" Mew says.
Then Flygon flies off with Mew.
"Jirachi," Max calls out.
While Mew and Flygon battle with Butler and Salamence, Pikachu and Eevee use their attack to destroy the machine by overloading it. Though the machine doesn't blow up, Jirachi is soon freed and lands in Max's arms, shutting off the machine before Flygon lands.
"Good job, guys! Get on!" Mew says.
Max, Eevee and Pikachu do so and Flygon takes off.
Butler soon stops and looks down to see what the machine has created. Meanwhile, Max was checking on Jirachi.
Max calls out, "Jirachi. Can you hear me? Say something."
Soon, Jirachi's Millennium Eye closes.
"He's closing his true eye," Mew says.
Jirachi promptly awakens, "Max!"
"Jirachi!" Max says, relieved and teary-eyed.
Pikachu and Eevee are relieved.
"You're okay!" Max says.
Down on the ground, Absol leads the others up to the surface.
"I see Flygon!" Molly says.
Sure enough, Flygon comes to a stop and Mew and Max get off.
"Thank you, Flygon," Mew says.
Flygon flies away
"Max!" May calls out and rushes over.
"Ashley!" Brock calls out.
The group comes running up.
"Is Jirachi...?" Jen asks.
"He's okay," Max says.
May kneels down, "Same with you?"
"Yeah," Max says with a nod.
May then hugs her little brother as she gets teary and says, "I was really worried, about you."
"I'm okay," Max says.
At the sight where Butler's machine drew a picture of Groudon, the ground the upon which the drawing was made starts to rise as Butler looks on. The ground soon starts to take the shape of what was drawn on it before it gets bigger and bigger, along with a monstrous, slimy-looking mouth. It transformed into a red monstrous creature with blue glowing patterns and sharp claws.
Seeing it, makes Butler shocked, "It, can't be."
Down below, Mew and the others soon spot the beast.
"What's that?!" Tomo asks, shocked.
"That's a Groudon?!" Diane asks, shocked.
"It… it doesn't… something's wrong!" Mew says, shocked.
The creature soon destroys one of the cables of the machine that created it. As the beast walks, plants around it wilt and die.
"That creature's not Groudon!" Butler says, shocked.
Down on the ground, the group witnesses the devastating sight.
"All the trees are dying!" Brock says, shocked.
"Not just the trees, all the flowers and plants, too!" Jen says.
"Oh no, the Earth! It's sucking energy from the earth!" Diane says, shocked.
Absol soon runs past them
"Absol?" Mew says.
Absol launches an attack and gets the monster's attention, only for it to roar and turn its claws into plasma before it captures Absol and absorbs it into its body. The monster soon causes spikes to grow along its back before they turn into plasma tentacles that proceed to whip out and capture any and all Pokémon in their path. Soon, Butler and Salamence land right when Mew and the others show up.
Diane runs to Butler, "Butler, please tell me you have a plan to stop this!"
Still shell-shocked, Butler says, "No, I don't. I have nothing up my sleeve. No tricks left."
Up above, Team Rocket spots the monster.
"Maybe now's not a good time…" James says, wary.
"For us to drop in unexpected," Jessie says.
"Yeah," Meowth says.
Suddenly, some Altaria zoom by to try and escape the monster's plasma tentacles, only for them, and Team Rocket, to be captured and absorbed.
On the ground, the gang sees the captured Pokémon inside the beast's body.
"They're trapped inside!" Mew says, shocked.
"It's sucking all the Pokemon!" Brock says, shocked.
They soon see Team Rocket trapped as well.
"They got Team rocket!" Molly says, shocked.
A Breloom soon gets absorbed as well, along with two Nuzleaf. The overhead shot of the devastation.
"This wasn't supposed to happen. That's not Groudon! It's evil! It's pure evil!" Butler says, shocked.
Suddenly, a plasma tentacle zooms toward Butler as he walks forward, shocked at what he had done, but Diane saves him and gets caught instead.
"Diane!" Butler cries out and grabs her hand.
Butler tries to pull her free, but with little success.
"Oh, my darling! If this is the end, then I'm glad the last thing I see is you," Diane says, and is promptly absorbed.
Butler cries out in devastation, "DIAAAAANE!"
"It got her!" Brock says.
Some tentacles start coming towards them.
"And now it wants us!" Tomo cries out.
"Run!" Mew cries out.
Everyone runs away while Butler hop on Salamence and take off while also avoiding the plasma tentacles in the process. However, May, Brock, Tomo, Meloetta, Skwovet, and Molly are absorbed.
"Brock! May!" Jen cries out.
"Tomo! Molly!" Mew cries out.
"It got them!" Max says, shocked.
In the monster, May calls out, "Max! May!"
As the rest of the group are pulled away, two more tentacles come in, prompting the others to run. Until it catches Mew and the others. The creature roars and sends its tentacles out after Max, the girls, and the Pokemon. But Jirachi mananges to teleport them away when they get close. Jirachi continues to use Teleport to get the rest to safety. Before the tentacles could capture them they're saved once more, this time by a Flamethrower. They turn to see Butler and Salamence.
"Watch out! It's after Jirachi's energy!" Butler says.
"It is?" Max asks.
Butler flies off to battle the creature's tentacles while the remaining survivors run on. But before a tentacle can nab them, Flygon fires a Hyper Beam to save them.
"It's Flygon!" Mew says.
Everyone hops onto Flygon and starts a chase down into the cave where Jirachi was found.
"They're too fast! They're catching up!" Mew says.
Just before the tentacles capture them, Jirachi teleports them to the sky above.
Butler flies alongside Flygon.
"Listen to me, I'm going to need your help. We have to stop this creature and there's only one way to do it!" Butler calls out.
"How?" Jen asks.
"Jirachi should be able to absorb energy out of that monster if we put him back on my machine. We just have to reverse the polarity and it should work," Butler says.
"I don't know. I'm not sure we should trust any plan of his," Jen says.
"And it's dangerous with that thing around," Mew says.
"You've got to! I just want to save Diane," Butler says.
The Pokemon cries out, (Watch out!)
Salamence quickly intercepts and destroys the oncoming plasma tentacle with a Flamethrower, only for another to snag Salamence.
"Butler!" Mew cries out.
Right at that moment, Jirachi saves Salamence by teleporting it underneath Butler.
"Jirachi! You saved him," Max says, surprised.
Soon, Jirachi says, "Butler can't be all bad. He loves Diane."
Meanwhile, inside the monster, the captured people and Pokemon are floating in some strange bubble.
Outside, Butler formulates the plan with Mew and the others.
"The monster will keep chasing Jirachi, you keep it distracted, and I'll set everything up," Butler says.
"You got it," Mew says, then turns to the others, "You ready? We're going to have to do whatever it takes to save Diane and our friends."
The Pokemon agree.
With the plan in motion, Mew and the others, including Jirachi, and Flygon take the low)
"Let's go!" Mew says.
Flygon proceeds to fly underneath the Meta Groudon and lets the tentacles chase it long enough for Butler to get to the machine.
"Yeah, our plan's working," Mew says.
"I hope Butler can set everything up in time," Jen says.
Meanwhile, Butler reaches his machine and starts to get things set up while the heroes keep their distractions going.
"Once I reverse this, it should be ready to go," Butler says.
However, the machine moves, causing Butler to drop the Groudon fossil. He tries to catch it, but to no avail as it goes plummeting. However, Mew manages to catch it just in time.
"Way to go," Butler says.
Soon, Mew and his team land and Butler puts the fossil of Groudon in place.
"Good. Now place Jirachi there," Butler says.
"Okay," Max says and does so, "Jirachi, are you ready?"
"Let's do it!" Jirachi says, and is ready.
Soon, Meta Groudon shows up.
"Watch out!" Max calls out.
The machine soon slides a bit down the Groudon while Salamence, Flygon, gives the gang the chance to set things up.
Butler heads to the main switch, "This should do it!"
Suddenly, the machine gives a bit more, causing Butler to head toward the edge.
"Butler, no!" Mew calls out.
Thankfully, Butler manages to catch himself on a wire. Meta Groudon looks down at him, only for Flygon and Salamence to blast it in the face. But Meta Groudon retaliates by absorbing both Salamence and Flygon.
"It got both of them!" Mew cries out.
Ash runs up to the switch.
"Jirachi, it's up to you! Ready?! Here goes nothing!" Mew calls out, and pulls the switch.
The machine powers up and zaps the ground, greatly hurting Meta Groudon as Jirachi absorbs its energy.
Two tentacles come in, but Butler shields Jirachi from getting absorbed.
"Butler!" Jen cries out.
"At least, this way, I'll be with Diane," Butler says, and in no time is absorbed while Meta Groudon goes into a rage.
Meta Groudon tries to attack and destroy the machine, while Pikachu, Eevee, and Amaura try to stop it, while the machine itself starts to shift off of the Groudon. Suddenly, Meta Groudon covers the entire machine, and everyone on it, with its slimy body. The slime from the beast covers them while Jirachi glows. Suddenly, the glow gets brighter and more intense than before, revealed by Jirachi's doin. Jirachi then begins flying and carrying the Meta Groudon up into space. In no time, Meta Groudon and the meteor zoom past the Millennium Comet before exploding in a brilliant display of light. This ultimately causes all the absorbed humans and Pokémon to be returned. On the ground, Butler finds Diane and checks on her.
"Diane!" Butler calls out.
Diane soon gets up, "Oh, Butler."
Soon, the two embrace each other as Mew and the rest of the group appear on the ground.
Everyone looks up and sees Jirachi coming down before running up to him.
"Jirachi! You're okay!" Max happily says and hugs him.
"We did it!" Jirachi happily says.
"You're the best," Max says.
But Jirachi says, "No, Max. You're the best. I made lots of wishes, and you made them all come true..
"That's right, you helped make Jirachi's wishes a reality," Mew says.
Then Jirachi asks, "Now, Max, will you grant me one final wish?"
"One final wish?" Max questions.
"Before I go to sleep, I want you to sing that song for me," Jirachi says.
"Jirachi," Max says.
"The song," Mew says.
"Max, Jirachi wants your mom's lullaby," Jen says.
"We can all grant your wish," May says.
"That would make me happy," Jirachi says.
May nods and begins to start humming the lullaby. Then, Mew, Brock, and the rest of the gang continue on the lullaby. As they hum the song, Butler, Diane and Absol watch on.
And soon, Jirachi begins to set himself to go back to sleep as he says, "Thank you everyone! I couldn't have wished for anything better!
As the song goes on, Jirachi becomes a crystal again before Max starts tearing up.
In tears, Max calls out, "Bye!"
Soon, Jirachi returns to the earth from whence he came as his energy pulses through the earth.
"Goodnight, Jirachi," Mew says.
"Sweet dreams!" Jen says.
"I hope you have sweet ones," Mew says.
Everyone soon says their goodbyes as Jirachi returns to sleep.
With a smile, Max says, "Jirachi. My heart. That's where you'll be."
Up on a cliff, Team Rocket witnesses the energy flowing through the land, terrified.
"Is this an illusion or am I just seeing things?!" James asks.
"I hope dat dis was all just anudder trick by dat magician!" Meowth says.
"Maybe, but I feel like I got my wish," Jessie says.
"I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours!" James says.
"Meowth, maybe you should go first," Jessie then says,
Thn Meowth suggests, "Why don't we all say em at da same time?
And with that, Team rocket says, "If I could only have one wish, it would be to always feel like this/dis!"
The next day, Butler and Diane make an announcement.
"Diane and I will stay in Forina," Butler says.
"We both finally realized what's most important. And that's to be together," Diane says.
"I'm so happy for both of you. You got your wish, Diane," May says.
"Yeah," Diane nods.
Then Butler says, "How about we give you guys a ride back to town?"
Butler and Diane head to the bus.
"So just what was Diane's wish?" Tomo asks.
"Well I can't tell my lips are sealed," May says.
Then Brock says, "Speaking of wishes, what about you and Sayo's Millennium Comet wishes?"
May panics and pulls out her wishing star.
"What's wrong?" Molly asks.
"I forgot to wish again last night," May ays.
"With all that happened, I'm not surprised," Jen says.
May soon says, "Well, I guess it doesn't matter, since we all have to make our dreams come true, anyway."
"Yeah, wishing for it would take all the fun out of it," Mew says.
Pikachu and Eevee nod their heads in agreement.
But as Max starts to walk towards the bus...)
"Max!," Jirachi's voice echos out to him.
Max turns around.
Jirachi then calls out to him again, "I'll never forget you. We'll be best, best friends, forever and ever."
Max nods before running to the bus.
Even though Jirachi goes back to sleep, the memories and the friendship Max has with Jirachi will last forever.
