Episode 39: A Different Kind of Misty!

In a foggy area, there is a tall tower. On the top of the tower there is a young boy, polishing a stone of some sort. The boy has brownish hair, light tan skin, and green eyes. He wears an orange shirt with brown lining on the sleeves and collar, dark teal shorts, and red and white sneakers. He continues polishing the stone that is on a small pillar. Suddenly, two familiar faces appear.

A familiar voice calls out, "Hello."

"What?!" The boy questions, quickly turning around.

And the faces are Team Rocket.

Meowth points his finger and says, "We'll be taking dat Light Stone now, tank you!

"So…" Jessie says.

"Hand it over without a fight, please," James says.

The boy cries out in shock, "You're thieves!"

Jessie and James rush to the boy.

"We said please and thank you," Jessie says.

Soon, the boy is tied and gagged

Meowth holds up the stone and cheers, "We did it! Da Light Stone is ours!"

"Now we just have to bring it to the boss," Jessie says.

"It pays to give the gift that keeps on glowing, right, guys?" James says.

"Woooobbuffet!" (All too true!) Wobbuffet agrees.

The thieves make their escape in their hot air balloon as they shout, "Tallyho!"

Soon, someone else comes up the stairs. The someone is a girl with light fair skin, green eyes, and red hair. She is wearing a light green shirt with a red shirt underneath.

The girl calls out, "Thatcher! Your shift's up!"

But the girl finds Thatcher bound and gagged and the Light Stone missing.

She runs to the boy, "Thatcher! Oh no. What happened?" And soon uncovers his mouth.

The boy, Thatcher, cries out, "These three robbers broke in here and stole the Light Stone!"

"No! It can't be true!" The girl says, shocked.

Meanwhile, Mew and the others continue their adventure to Mauville City for Mew's next gym battle. As of now, they're walking through a foggy mountain trail.

"Wow. This fog is very thick," Tomo says.

"You're telling me, I can hardly see the path," Mew says.

"Yeah, this fog is terrible," May says.

"And spooky," Jen says.

"Better watch your step," Brock says.

"You're right," Mew says.

Soon, the group stops somewhere to think of a plan.

However, with the fog thick, Brock says, "This fog is way too dangerous. We better wait till it clears up."

"Yeah," Mew says.

"What do we do now?" Molly asks.

"We should figure out where we are," Mew says.

But then Max says, "This is weird."

"What, Max?" May asks.

Seeing the Pokenav, Max says, "According to the PokéNav, the Mountain Lighthouse should be right around here."

"With the fog around, we can't see where it is," Tomo says.

Suddenly, they hear a familiar voice, "When will this fog finally break?"

"Huh?" Mew questions and looks up.

Meanwhile, up above, Team Rocket is flying along.

"So, you know it's gonna take an attack from some electric Pokémon to get dis Light Stone to light up," Meowth says.

They soon hear a familiar Pokémon.

"Don't tell me I just heard a Pikachu," Jessie says.

"Okay, I won't," James says.

"Besides, why would dat band of goody-goods be out in dis muck anyway?" Meowth says.

As Meowth talks, the fog fades a bit and allows both groups to see each other.

Team Rocket screams in shock.

The humans cry out, "Team Rocket!"

And the Pokemon cry out, in their language, (Not you again!)

"Your timing couldn't be any more perfect!" Jessie says.

"Cause now, we'll whisk away Pikachu and Eevee," Meowth says.

Jessie throws his Pokeball and calls out, "Pin Missile, Cacnea!"

Cacnea comes out of the Pokeball and fires the attack.

Mew calls out, "Eevee, use Iron Tail, now!"

Pikchu throws the attack and the Pin Missile pins are easily countered and sent right at Team Rocket, causing them to drop the Light Stone while Pikachu, unknowingly, stands on it.

"Alright Pikachu, now Thunderbolt em!" Mew calls out.

Pikachu fires the attack, causing the Light Stone to light up, before landing right on the target, blowing up Team Rocket's balloon and sending the three down into the water below.

"Party poopers!" Team Rocket cries out.

"Good job! Way to go!" Mew says.

As Pikachu and Eevee celebrate. Pikachu looks down and sees the Light Stone glowing as Eevee looks at it.

"Look at that rock," May says.

"Why is it glowing?" Max says.

Pikachu hops off of it and the glow stops.

"It went out," Brock says.

Mew approaches and picks up the Light Stone.

"This is a really weird stone," Mew says.

"Where did it come from?" Tomo asks.

"Team Rocket must have dropped it," Mew says.

"But why would they have a rock?" Jen asks.

Suddenly, someone calls out, "Hey! There you are!"

Everyone looks and sees both Thatcher and the girl.

"So you're the thieves, huh?" The girl says.

"Who, us?" May questions.

And Mew says, "You've got it all wrong."

"Spare me all your lies!" The girl says and calls out, "Magnemite, Thunderbolt!"

Magnemite comes out and its attack lands just inches away from the group.

"Well, if that's the way you want it, Pikachu, use Quick Attack," Mew calls out.

The attack lands hard, knocking Magnemite out

The girl says, "Magnemite! Thatcher, you gotta help me battle them!"

"But, sis, I've never battled before in my life!" Thatcher says.

"Oh, well, then I'll just take some moral support," The girl says.

Thatcher nods and calls out, "Go, Plusle! Go, Minun!"

And a Plusle and Minun comes out.

"What are those Pokémon?" May asks.

"Those are Plusle and Minun," Mew says.

Both of them get out her Pokedex.

On May's Pokedex, Dextette says, "Plusle, the Cheering Pokémon. An Electric Type. Plusle always supports its teammates, giving off celebratory sparks when a teammate does well.

On Mew's Pokedex, Dextette says, "Minun, the Cheering Pokémon. Minun cares more for its teammates than for itself, sending off showers of sparks while cheering them on."

"Cheering Pokémon, huh?" Molly replies.

"They're just adorable!" May says.

Thatcher then calls out, "Okay. Plusle and Minun, cheer for Alyssa's Magnemite."

Both Pokémon agree and do so, slightly baffling the group.

"That's their big cheer?" Tomo says.

Both Pokemon quickly start sparking.

Thatcher then calls out, "Now, Helping Hand!"

Both Pokémon put their tails together and send an electrical jolt into the sky before it comes back down on Magnemite, revitalizing it.

"It recovered!" Jen says, shocked.

"Yes! Now fight back, Magnemite!" The girl, Alyssa says.

Magnemite fires another attack that lands just inches away from the group.

"Come on, knock it off!" Mew calls out, "We're telling you we didn't steal anything!

"Look at our innocent faces. Does she look like a criminal to you?!" Brock questions.

"Yes!" Alyssa stays.

Everyone just shrugs.

Alyssa then demands, "Now, give us back the Light Stone.

"This is yours? I'm sorry. You can have it back," Mew says, walking forward to return it, "Here."

"Well, that was easy enough,"Alyssa says, confused.

Suddenly, Jessie's voice appears, "Hold it!"

Mew and Alyssa look toward the cliff and see Team Rocket pop in.

"Get your twerpish paws off of that stone!" Jessie says.

"It's ours!" James says.

"We stole it, and want it back!" Meowth adds.

As Meowth talks, the threesome pulls themselves up.

"That rock means promotions for us within our organization!" Team Rocket says.

"Team Rocket? Why don't you give it up already?!" Mew says, annoyed.

Then Thatcher confirms, "Alyssa, those are the REAL crooks!"

"Now I see!" Alyssa says, realizing the truth.

"We told you," Mew says.

Team Rocket charges, "We asked you nicely!"

"Oh no!" Thatcher cries out.

Mew then calls out, "Pikachu, Eevee, Thunderbolt, let's go!"

Both Pikachu and Eevee combine their attack which shocks Thatcher, and the blast sends Team Rocket blasting off once more.

Jessie cries out, "We're..."

"...blastin'..." Meowth adds.

"...off again!" James adds.

"There they go," Max says.

"Bye bye," Molly says.

"Pikachu and Eevee's Thunderbolt work every time," May says.

"You'd think they'd figure that out eventually," Brock says.

As the group talks, Thatcher looks on in amazement

"Alright. Good job once again, Pikachu," Mew says.

"Pika Pika," (It was nothing.) Pikachu says.

"You too, Eevee," Mew says.

"Eevee," (It's no trouble.) Eevee adds.

Watching Mew and her Pokemon nuzzle each other, Thatcher says, "Could it be?"

"Here you go," Mew says, and hands the stone over to Alyssa.

"Thank you so much," Alyssa says, taking the stone. "Sorry. I really misjudged all of you, huh?"

"Ah, don't worry about that," Brock says.

"It was all just a mistake, that's all," May says.

"And if there's anyone who knows about making mistakes, it's my sister," Max says.

May sweat drops and chuckles.

"By the way, Alyssa, why did the stone glow when Pikachu used Thunderbolt while standing on it?" Jen asks.

Alyssa explains, "This Light Stone is the treasure of our village. Without it, we wouldn't be able to operate our Mountain Lighthouse.""

"Aha! So there is a lighthouse around here," Max says.

Soon, the group are in the lighthouse, after returning the light stone.

"Yes," Alyssa says, "The cold air tends to move over the warmer air, causing this area to get pretty foggy, so the Lighthouse is always here to lend a hand and keep people from losing their way."

"Well, it's a good thing we managed to get the stone back from Team Rocket and return it to you," Mew says.

"Me, too. Let me show you how the stone works," Alyssa says, turning to the pair, "Plusle, Minun, you ready?"

Both Pokémon happily confirm and hop up onto the podium and touch the Light Stone, causing it to light up.

"Wow," Everyone says, amazed.

"See? We use electricity from our Electric Pokemon electricity to light up the stone," Alyssa says.

Even the Pokemon are amazed by the light stone's glow.

The glow soon fades.

Alyssa turns to the group, "I can't thank you all enough for bringing our precious stone back to the lighthouse.

"It was nothing, really," Brock says with a smile.

"Course not, cause you didn't do anything," Max says.

Brock sweat drops and sheepishly chuckles, "Right."

"Wow. So if the lighthouse had been working, we wouldn't have gotten lost," May says.

"You're right," Mew says.

Suddenly, Thatcher realizes something, "Hey! I knew it!"

Everyone turns to Mew, confused.

Thatcher says, "That outfit," and rushes to Mew, "Hey! You're the hero! That's the outfit a legendary hero wears, so you must be her, Ashley!

"Hero? What hero?" Mew questions.

Thatcher turns to Alyssa, "You see, Alyssa? She's the legendary hero!"

"Yeah, maybe," Alyssa says, confused.

Eevee says, confused, "Eevee?" (Legendary?)

"Pika?" (Hero?) Pikachu adds.

Then Plusle says, "Plu." (Say...)

"Mi?" (What?) Minun adds.

"Legendary hero?" Brock says, confused.

"What's he mean by that?" May asks.

Alyssa soon explains, "He's talking about the legend of a great hero who brought the Light Stone to our village a long time ago."

"Must've been a big deal," Tomo asks.

"Yeah, look at this tablet on the side of the Light Stone pedestal," Thatcher says, presenting the tablet on the pedestal, "It reads; 'Long ago, great calamities came to Misty Village, until a blue-robed hero accompanied by an electric Pokémon bestowed upon us the Light Stone. When our village is again in danger, the hero will return." See what I mean? The hero's gotta be you!'"

"Well, that is how the legend goes," Alyssa says.

"Of course," Thatcher says, Ashley is dressed in blue, just like the hero, and he even has her Pikachu with her. Right, hero?"

Mew is left confused.

Then Thatcher walks to Mew, "You came here because the Light Stone was in danger, didn't you?"

"Well uh, not really," Mew says, unsure.

"I don't know, Thatcher does make a good point," Jen says, "I mean, remember in the Orange Islands and we ended up at Shamouti during that storm, it's revealed that you were the one to help Lugia save the world because the elements of nature were disturbed," Jen says.

"And about when the Unown turned my hometown, Greenfield, into a crystal wonderland from my dreams. Although the illusion of Entei did kidnap you," Molly adds.

"And how you helped save Celebi from a Pokemon Hunter in the forest outside of Arborville," Tomo says.

"And don't forget how you helped Latias and Latios save in Alto Mare. Even though it's unexpected, you along with the rest of us are always there to help save Pokemon, towns, and stop disasters," Brock says.

May, Max, Alyssa, and Thatcher blink with confused and shocked expressions.

"Really? You went through all that. And you were part of a prophecy to be the hero that saves the world" May says, shocked. Then realizes, "But then again, we did also help Jirachi from that incident not long ago."

"Wow. So maybe you are a hero, you end up being there when there's danger and save the says," Max says, "Sounds like you have quite the history in helping people and Pokemon, Ashley."

"You have no idea," Mew says, "And let's not forget my friends and I, including you helped me stop Team Rocket's plans every time they cause trouble."

The group nods their heads in response.

Thatcher is amazed, "Wow. You really are a hero."

Not long after, the group is outside of the lighthouse.

"Great hero, please allow me to guide you to the village. Right this way," thatcher says.

Alyssa turns to the group, "I'm afraid I'm gonna have to apologize for my brother since it looks like he's convinced himself that you're the legendary hero, Mew."

"It's okay, Alyssa," Mew says.

Then Alyssa, "Still, I'm amazed that you actually helped so many People and Pokemon during your time."

"Yeah. It's quite a long story," Mew says.

Then Alyssa says, ""Well, Thatcher has quite an imagination, and he's always one to jump to conclusions."

"Well, when it comes to nutty little brothers, I know how you feel," May says.

"I wouldn't talk if I were you, sister dear," Max says.

Mew says, "Well, as long as Thatcher's happy, then I'm happy.

Pikachu and Eevee agree.

Soon, they arrive at the village.

Thatcher calls out, "Grandpa! I've got the legendary hero here with me."

Everyone stops what they're doing and looks at Thatcher and Alyssa's grandpa comes out.

"What? What's this about the legendary hero?" The grandfather asks.

"I'll go explain to my grandfather," Alyssa says and walks up to her grandfather, "The thing is…" and whispers to him.

The grandfather nods his head and says, "We must show our hero the proper respect, right?"

"Right. Hero, feel free to enter our home. Your followers and teacher are welcome, too," Thatcher says.

Mew sweat drops.

May and Max reply, confused, "Followers?"

"He means us?" Tomo questions.

"I'm sorry," Alyssa says.

And Brock calls out, "No! I am a follower, and I'll follow my heart right down the road to love that leads me to you!"

Baffled, Alyssa says, "How nice."

Mew then yanks Brock by the ear, "How about you follow me to the next Raticate hole for a time out, mister?"

Brock cries out, "Ow! Ashley, not the ear!"

Thatcher, Tomo, and the kid begin laughing.

Later, behind the house.

Thatcher says to Mew, "I'd sure like to become like you someday."

"What do you mean?" Mew asks.

Thatcher then explains, "The thing is, I've never really been able to battle before. I got my Plusle and Minun from my grandpa, but I'm only allowed to use their Helping Hand attack when it helps other people out. What I'd really like to do is to be able to battle like you, great hero!"

"I don't see why not," Mew says. She then turns to Alyssa, who nods at him before he nods back, "I'll teach you, Thatcher."

"Really?! You will?! Yay!" Thatcher happily says.

Both Plusle and Minun celebrate with their trainer

"Great! Plusle and Minun, let's find out what we can do!" Thatcher says.

Both Pokemon agree. And soon, the group and Thatcher are in the forest.

"Well Thatcher, since we'll be learning how to battle. There are a few things we need to do first," Mew says.

"Yes, mam!" Thatcher says.

"It's super important for you to understand your Pokemon and for you to trust each other," Mew says.

"Aye aye, hero!" Thatcher says, then turns to Plusle and Minun, "Plusle and Minun, you hear that?"

Both Pokemon confirm.

"Okay Thatcher, one of the things you need to understand while you battle, you need to stay calm and relax. Because if you get stressed then your Pokemon gets stressed," Mew says.

"Right," Thatcher says.

Both Plusle and Minun smile with their trainer.

"In battles, while facing an appointment, you need to keep on your toes. Your opponent may not always give you enough time to think, so you have to think on your feet. Of course, trainers will like to use type advantages. What I learned is that they don't always work, so you need to think of another angle to battle," Mew says.

"Sounds complicated," Thatcher says.

"It's true. I've learned that a few times that type advantages don't work for Gym leaders, or other trainers. One time, I was beaten by a Sandshew because it's proven to be tough. It's able to withstand water," Mew says.

"Wow. Really?" Thatcher asks.

"Yeah. But I managed to figure out how to beat it," Mew says.

"Yeah. Of course, battles are also about good sportsmanship, winning or losing, when you battle one with your Pokemon, it doesn't matter what happens. Of course, it's important for you and your Pokemon to work as a team and give it everything you got. You need to trust each other and work together with each other," Mew says.

Thatcher says, "Sounds like you've been with Pokemon for a long time."

"Yes. I have," Mew says.

Mew then stands up, "Well then, I think it's a good idea to show you some battle techniques."

"Okay," Thatcher says.

Soon, the group heads off to do some training.

"Do you really think Ashly can pull off all this hero stuff?" Max asks.

"I don't know," May says.

"Well, I think it's great," Alyssa says,

"Really? Why's that?" Brock asks.

"I'll tell you why, Brock," Alyssa says.

Flashback:

Thatcher says to his sister, "Alyssa, what if I'm not good enough to raise Plusle and Minun after all? What'll I do then?"

"Don't worry, you'll do fine," Alyssa says.

"Wish I felt that confident, but I just don't know," Thatcher says.

"Flashback ends;

"Wow, I feel bad for him," Brock says.

"Yes, but just look at him now. Thanks to Ashley, he's so much more confident," Mew says, and looks to her left, "Uh oh."

Everyone looks in the same direction

"The fog's rolling in again. I'd better get going now, to the lighthouse," Alyssa says, and runs off

"But, Alyssa, wait!" Brock says.

Mew turns to Thatcher, "Thatcher, I think we should go, too."

"Okay," Thatcher says.

The Pokemon agree.

Up in the lighthouse….

"Magnemite, I need electricity," Alyssa says.

Magnemite obliges, causing the Light Stone to light up just as Mew and Thatcher arrive with their Pokemon,

"Hey, look at that!" Mew says.

"Yeah, looks like my sister lit up the lighthouse," Thatcher says.

Suddenly, a noise is heard high above.

"Did you hear that?" Mew asks.

"What is it?" Thatcher asks.

From the sky, Team Rocket's laughter is heard as they descend on a robotic Zapdos, and they begin to perform the motto.

Jessie:

Prepare for trouble as we swoop down from the fog!

James:

Making it double's as easy as falling off a log!

Jessie:

To protect the world from devastation!

James:

To unite all peoples within our nation!

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie:

Jessie!

James:

James!

Jessie:

Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!

James:

Surrender now, or prepare to fight!

Meowth:

Meowth! Dat's right!

Wobbuffet:

Wobbu Wobbu! (And that's a wrap!)

"Team Rocket!" Mew shouts.

"Pi Pikachu!/ Vee Eevee! (Not you again!) Pikachu and Eevee cry out.

The three hop into their robot.

"Second time's the charm when stealing a stone," Jessie says.

"Nicely put," James says

"Here goes!" Meowth says and presses a button.

Team Rocket lowers themselves into Alyssa's view as they say, "Hey! Got a light?"

Alyssa gasps as, from the body of the robot, two circular buzz saws appear and saw through the support beams holding up the roof, sending it falling to the ground below as Mew and Thatcher approach.

"Our lighthouse!" Thatcher cries out.

"Don't worry! Come on!" Mew says and runs forward.

"Okay," Thatcher says, and follows behind

"We can do this the easy way, or the hard way," Jessie says.

"How about, no way?!" Alyssa says and calls out, "Magnemite, Thunderbolt!"

Magnemite does so but does little to the robot Zapdos when it hits.

"It didn't work?!" Alyssa says, shocked.

"You're wasting your wattage," Jessie says.

"We've shielded ourselves from all electrical hijinks!" James adds.

"Now, let's have a show of hands!" Meowth says.

As Meowth talks, robotic arms and hands come out of the robot and grab both Magnemite and the Light Stone.

"While we stay at arms length!" Team Rocket cheer.

"Magnemite!" Alyssa says.

Mew and Thatcher reach Alyssa in time to see what had happened.

"Oh no!" Thatcher cries out.

Soon, Jessie says, "Looks like we have the stone and a lighter!"

"Guess we'll get glowing!" James says.

"We won, hands down," Meowth says.

"Alright, Pikachu, Eevee, Thunderbolt!" Mew calls out.

Pikachu and Eevee do so, but don't do much damage to the robot.

"Should have known they put up electric defenses," Mew says and tries to think of what to do.

Alyssa turns to her brother, "Thatcher, it looks like Pikachu and Eevee could use your help."

"Okay," Thatcher says, nervously. Then turns to Plusle and Minun, "Plusle, Minun, time to cheer for Pikachu now!"

Both Pokemon agree, but before they can do anything.

But Alyssa says, "Not that! Cheering won't be enough. Time for you to battle!"

This has Thatcher shocked and worried, "But I, I don't know how."

"Plu!" (Us.) Plusle says.

"Min!" (Too.) Minun adds.

Suddenly, another mechanical arm grabs Pikachu, but misses Eevee.

"Us again!" Meowth says.

"No! Pikachu!" Mew calls out.

The rest of the gang arrive just as Pikachu tries and fails to free himself.

"How many times do I have to tell them?" James says.

"Well, looks like we won't need Magnemite. Even though we don't have Eevee, Pikachu is just as powerful," Jessie says, "Besides, I don't like it anyway."

"Oh, dat's harsh," Meowth says.

Magnemite is thrown down to Alyssa.

"Magnemite!" Alssya calls out and catches Magnemite.

"Dis has been an enlightening experience," Meowth says.

"Time to fly!" Team Rocket adds.

The robot makes its getaway.

"Hey, you get back here!" Mew says.

Jessie calls out, "Sorry, we can just barely hear you!"

"But you haven't heard the last of us!" James says.

The robot disappears into the fog.

"They're getting away! And this fog is covering their escape!" Brock says.

"It'll be impossible to follow them," May says.

"Well that's not going to stop me that easily," Mew says.

But then, Thatcher says, "It's, all my fault." and drops to his knees, "If I only just did some actual battle practice, we wouldn't have lost Pikachu. Then, the Light Stone wouldn't have gotten stolen, either. Even the hero couldn't help. I thought the hero could do anything."

"Thatcher, I'm really no hero from this legend you speak of," Mew says.

Thatcher is surprised by Mew revealing he wasn't the hero in the legend.

"But, I still say trust your Pokemon," Mew says, and walks forward and stands on the edge.

She then calls out, "Pikachu, listen! I want you to fire a Thunderbolt at the Light Stone!"

"But Ashley, Pikachu can't hear you," Thatcher says.

But Brock says, "Don't be so sure. You see, we may not know which direction they went or how far that they've gone, but, with the friendship and trust those two have that make them as close as brothers, I'll bet you that Pikachu hears him."

"Wow. Friendship and trust?" Thatcher says, a little surprised.

Mew continues to call out, "Pikachu! Fire your Thunderbolt at the Light Stone!"

Pikachu soon hears the echo of Mew's voice and fires a Thunderbolt at the Light Stone, lighting it up and giving away Team Rocket's position.

"Look! Pikachu heard me!" Mew says.

"No way!" Thatcher says, shocked.

Mew says to Thatcher, "Thatcher? You see? That's what I mean, it's all a matter of putting your trust in your Pokemon. (heads toward the stairs)

Amazed, Thatcher says, "I see," and looks down at Plusle and Minun, "We just need to work on trusting each other more."

Meanwhile, Team Rocket had landed for a victory celebration.

"Now, let's raise our glasses for a toast!" Jessie says.

"While we toast to our raises!" James says.

"I'll drink ta dat!" Meowth adds.

Team Rocket cheers, "Bottoms up!" and laughs.

As Team Rocket talks, the Light Stone's glow fades, prompting Pikachu to light it up again.

Jessie calls out to Pikachu, "Zap all you want, they're never going to find you."

"That's right, we're hidden deep in the forest," James says.

"And underneath fog thicker den pea soup," Meowth says.

Pikachu calls out, "Pika! Pika Pika Pikachu!" (No way! It's not over till it's over!)

"Translation?" James questions.

"Pikachu's sayin' it ain't over till it's over!" Meowth says.

They soon hear Mew's voice, "That's right!"

Team Rocket turns and finds Mw and her friends.

"You didn't think we'd give up, did ya?" Mew says.

Jessie panics, "But how?!"

"Pika Pi!" (Mew!) Pikachu happily calls out.

"Sorry, but we know this mountain like the back of our hands, and it sure helped to have our Light Stone guide the way,"Alyssa says.

Thatcher turns to Mew, "Hey, Ashley. I'm ready now, and I trust my Pokemon,"

"Alright. Show me," Mew says.

Thatcher calls out, "Plusle, Minun, go get the Light Stone and free Pikachu, too!

Both Pokemon agree while Team Rocket takes off in their Zapdos robot.

"Please! Plusle and Minun?" Jessie says.

"Use Helping Hand!" Thatcher calls out.

The two Pokemon do so, but it does little against the robot.

"That attack was a minus, not a plus," James says.

"Add da two of dem together and you get, zero! "Meowth says.

But little did they realize that the attack was recharging Pikachu.

"Hey, look at that!" Tomo says.

"What's going on with Pikachu?" May asks.

"Pikachu being recharged by Plusle and Minun's Helping Hand!"" Brock says.

Pikachu then calls out, "Pikachu!" (I'm recharged!)

"Pikachu's all charged up again!" Max says.

"That's awesome!" Jen says.

"Now then, Pikachu, Eevee, use Thunder!" Mew calls out.

Both Pikachu and Eevee perform the Thunder, which becomes stronger, especially combined, finally managing to shock Team Rocket.

"But how?!" Team Rocket panics.

The shock overloads the robot, causing it to drop both Pikachu and the Light Stone.

"Pikachu!" Mew calls out and catches him.

"Pika Pi!" (Mew!) Pikachu happily says.

Alyssa catches the Light Stone, "Gotcha!"

Team Rocket soon starts plummeting to the ground below.

"This thing is supposed to be electricity-proof!" Jessie says.

"Luckily da guy said I could bring it back if dere was a problem!" Meowth says.

"Oh, goody," James sheepishly says.

The robot soon lands on the ground.

Thatcher then says, "Okay. Now use Helping Hand on each other, guys."

Both Pokemon agree and do so

"Awesome. They're able to charge each other up," Mew says.

"Talk about handy!" Brock says.

Mew then brings out her two Pokeballs, "Well I say we have given them a double boost."Then calls out, "Plusle Minun, use Helping Hand on each other too!"

With that, Mew's Plusle and Minun come out and use Helping Hand on each other.

"Wow. Double Plusle and Minun," May says.

"I didn't know she has a Plusle and Minun too," Alyssa says.

Mew and Thatcher look at each other and nod in response.

They both call out, "Plusle, Minun, use Spark attack!"

With that, both pairs of Plusle and Minun charge forward with their Spark Attack.

Jessie cries out, "Incoming!"

"Meowth, what should we do?!" James panics.

"Get our money back?" Meowth says.

"Wooobbuffet!" (I hope so!) Wobbuffet cries out.

The combined attacks destroy the robot and send Team Rocket flying.

"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" Team Rocket cries out.

"Wobbuffet!" (Thrice already!) Wobbuffet adds.

The smoke clears and Thatcher stands silent.

"You did it, Thatcher," Alyssa says.

"You were great," Mew says.

"Thanks. But, you know, while all that was going on, I hardly knew what I was doing," Thatcher says.

"You still did it," Brock says.

"You and your Pokemon were all right in sync!" May says.

"Yeah. Plusle and Minun really make a great team, huh?" Max says.

"Hey, thanks you guys," Thacher says.

Then turns to Plusle and Minun, "As for you two. We'll just keep working at this, okay?"

Both Pokemon agree.

And later, as the sun was setting, the Light Stone was returned to its pedestal. Later that evening…

Thatcher asks Mew, "Ashley, since my Pokemon and I are gonna keep on training and getting stronger, will you battle us someday, please?"

"Sure. You bet I will," Mew says.

Pikachu, Eevee, and her Plusle and Minun agree.

"That'll be great, master. Thanks," Thatcher says.

Mew sheepishly smiles, "Uh, master? Isn't that a bit much?"

"Yeah, modeling yourself after Ashley is quite a challenge," May ays

But Thatcher says, "No way! Ashley, I consider you my hero and master!"

"Plusle" (You're our hero, too!) Plusle says.

(And master!) Minun says.

Brock takes Alyssa's hands, "And you, Alyssa, I declare you the master of my heart!""

Max then grabs Brock by the shirt, "Come on. Maybe try mastering your mouth."

"Alyssa!" Brock calls out.

Some of the others chuckle sheepishly

"Well, guess it's time for us to hit the road," Mew says.

"Yeah," Molly says.

Everyone takes their leave.

"Thank you for everything!" Alyssa says.

"We'll see you later!" Thatcher says.

(In a while!") Plusle calls out.

(Totodile!) Minun says.

"By returning the Light Stone safely back to its home, Mew has gained a new friend and understudy. Now it's time for Mew and her friends to continue their journey to Mauville City, where the next gym awaits.
