Episode 43: Love at First Flight
One bright sunny day, Mew and her friends arrive at a beautiful site, a large lake.
"Whoa!" Everyone says.
"That is such a pretty lake!" May says.
"You're right," Max says.
"It looks like a great spot for a break. What do you say, guys?" Brock says.
"Sounds good," Mew says.
Brock gets out the guidebook and says, "Let me see here. Believe it or not, the name of this lake is Lake May.
"No kidding," Tomo says.
"Well, then, that explains why it's so beautiful, with a beautiful name like May," May says.
"I don't know. I guess I don't see the connection here," Max replies.
"Who asked you?" May responds, annoyed.
Soon, Pikachu and Eevee sense something and turn their heads.
Mew does the same and notices, "Hey, look!"
Everyone looks out on the lake
"There's something out there, on the lake," Mew says.
What they see is a firefly-like, bipedal Pokémon. It has a blue face and large, slanted blue eyes with purple markings at the corners. Surrounding its head are purple curls that frame its face. Its antennae are small and yellow. Its body is black with a blue belly and a yellow bid marking. Its arms and legs are black and are connected to the body by purple borders. It has small wings used for flying with others, and a pattern of three oblong yellow spots on its rear.
The Pokemon gently taps the surface of the lake with its feet, creating a slight ripple effect.
"Hey it's an Illumise
They soon spot another similar creature, though colored differently, zoom onto the lake.
Its body is black with a blue chest and abdomen. There are two yellow stripes across its front: one on its chest and one near its legs. A red band separates each limb from its body and a thicker, incomplete one surrounds its shoulders. Two simple wings extend from the band around its shoulder. It has a blue face with yellow eyes, and curly, yellow antennae with black stripes. It has a spherical yellow tail, which glows to communicate and draw geometric patterns in the sky while in a swarm.
"You're right Mew, that's an Illumise, and the other Pokemon is a Volbet," Brock says.
"Wow!" Tomo says.
"They're really cute," Jen says.
"Let's check it out," May says.
Mew and May bring out their Pokedex.
May's Pokedex's Dextette says, "Illumise, the Firefly Pokémon. A Bug Type. Illumise use a sweet scent to lure in Volbeat, having them draw geometric patterns in the sky.
Mew's Pokedex's Dextette says, "Volbeat, the Firefly Pokémon. A Bug Type. Volbeat uses the design on its tail for sketching and communicating with other Volbeat."
The two Pokémon continue their aerial performance
"They're so cute, they're dancing together," May says.
"Looks like they're having fun," Max says.
"And they both have cute ribbons," Jen says.
"Their trainers must be close by," Mew says.
Suddenly, they hear someone calling out, "Hello there!"
Everyone looks and sees Nurse Joy off to the left
"You're all here to see the May Festival, right?" Nurse Joy asks.
Brock blushes and says, "We are! Yes!"
"May Festival?" Molly questions.
"What's that?" Mew asks.
"It's a wonderful festival where many will get to see Illumise and Volbeat performing their dances," Nurse Joy says.
"That sounds awesome!" May says, excited.
"Well, it's almost time for them to begin practicing, just over there," Nurse Joy says.
Everyone looks out to a small pier on the lake where there's an audience watching an event. There's also a small dock area where there's two people on it.
Nurse Joy gestures to the two, "And those two are the trainers of the Illumise and Volbeat you just saw. He's Romeo and she's Juliet."
Juliet is a beautiful young woman with fair skin, purplish red like hair, and light purple eyes. She's wearing a peach pink shirt, white pants, and pink slip on shoes.
Brock becomes instantly smitten with Juliet and calls out, "Juliet! But, soft! What light through yonder window breaks? Juliet's the sun!"
"You mustn't bother them!" Nurse Joy says.
May, Max, and Molly grab Brock
"Chill out, Brock!" May says.
"Back it up!" Max says.
"They're busy right now," Molly says.
Next to Julet is Romeo, a bow with a light tan skin, light brown hair, and brown eyes. He's wearing a white long sleeve shirt, dark pants with suspenders, and a red bowtie.
Juliet waves to the audience, "I'm Juliet. I pledge to make this May Festival a smashing success!"
The audience she was addressing applauds.
"With your smashing good looks, Juliet, you're already a success!" Brock says.
Then Nurse Joy says, "Legend has it that anyone in love who happens to watch Illumise and Volbeat dancing together is soon to be blessed with good luck."
"I'm in love," Brock says.
Juliet walks towards her Pokemon, "Right, then, Illumise. Time to practice, dear."
Illumise agrees as Juliet gets out and twirls a baton with a bright red light at the tip while the baton itself makes a noise.
"Let's start things off with Sweet Scent!" Juliet calls out.
Illumise releases the alluring fragrance.
Juliet turns to Romeo, "Oh, Romeo. Be a love and release more Volbeat."
"Right," Romeo says.
But as Romeo tries to bring out the Volbeat, his fanny pack accidentally comes off and drops, causing all his Pokéballs to fall out.
"Oh, dear. Dropped them again?" Juliet says, worried.
"Sorry. I'll tidy up," Romeo says, and gathers the Pokéballs up.
Seeing what's happening, Brock says, "How did that loser get partnered up with Juliet?! That's just wrong!"
"He doesn't seem very dependable, does he?" May says.
Mew calls out, "Hang tough, Romeo!"
Pikachu and Evee call out, "You can do it!"
"Hey, thanks, mate," Romeo says, appreciating the support.
Then he calls out, "Alright, Volbeat, everyone out!"
Four Volbeat come out of the Pokeball.
"It's showtime, Volbeat," Romeo says.
Volbeat agrees and flies off.
"Right," Romeo says.
The other four Volbeat follow behind the lead and go straight towards Illumise, but the leader becomes infatuated and they all end up getting too close to her.
"They're too close to Illumise!" Juliet says, worried.
Then turns to Romeo, "Please direct your Volbeat like you're supposed to."
"Right," Romeo says and gets out a baton similar to Juliet's, "Straight away, Volbeat, now do what I…"
But before Romeo can finish, his baton goes flying out of his hand and towards the edge of the pier.
"No!" Romeo cries out.
The lead Volbeat notices what's going on, but when he goes down to help, he and the other Volbeat end up bumping into Illumise.
"Hey!" Romeo panics.
"My Illumise!" Juliet cries out.
All the Pokémon end up falling into the lake.
"Oh no! I don't think that was supposed to be part of the act!" Jen says.
"Amaura!" (Doesn't look like it!) Amaura says.
"Juliet!" Brock cries out.
The Volbeat are revealed to have surfaced, but struggle to stay afloat
Juleit looks around and calls out, "Illumise! Where are you, Illumise? Illumise!"
Juliet backs into Romeo before diving into the lake to save her Pokémon, while Romeo stumbles and falls into the lake himself.
"Somebody help me! I'm drowning! I can't swim!" Brock cries out.
May turns to the guys, "Come on guys, we gotta save Romeo and those Pokémon!"
"Right!" Mew says.
"Don't worry about a thing!" Brock says.
Mew calls out, "Corphish, I choose you!"
And Mew's Corphish comes out.
"Alright, Lotad, Mudkip, let's go!" Brock says.
"Go Aqua!" Tomo calls out.
Soon, the other four Pokemon come out of their Pokeballs.
"Ready, guys?" Mew says.
"Yeah!" Brock and Tomo say.
All three dive in while Juliet searches for Illumise.
Juliet says in thought, "Illumise, where are you?"
Upon the surface, the rescue team swims toward Romeo.
"Somebody, help me! I can't swim! I'm drowning!" Romeo cries out.
Soon, Juliet surfaces.
"Oh, thank goodness! Juliet!" Romeo cries out and grabs onto her.
"Romeo!" Juliet cries out.
"Don't worry, we'll help you guys!" Tomo says.
"Mudkip, you look for Illumise, and Lotad, help out rescue those Volbeat. Go!" Brock says.
The two Pokemon do just that.
"Corphish, let's go help out those Volbeat, too. I'll help Mudkip find Illumise," Mew says.
Tomo turns to Aqua, "Aqua, help the others with the Volbeat, I'll help Romeo."
The other two Pokemon agree. Under the water, Mew and Mudkip swim down toward the bottom of the lake. They soon come across a glowing light, which was coming from Illumise's bowtie.
Upon the surface, Corphish, Aqua, and Lotad are helping the Volbeat to dry land. A bit later, the Volbeat, Illumise and Romeo were being tended to.
"Here, Juliet, I brought a towel for you," Brock says.
Juliet takes the towel, "Great, I could use this. Thank you. But, Illumise.
Nurse Joy and Mew are seen tending to Illumise before she regains consciousness.
"Look! She's waking up!" Nurse Joy says.
"Illumise!" Juliet says in relief.
Both trainer and Pokémon embrace.
"Thanks goodness," Juliet says.
Then Nurse Joy says, "Juliet, I think Illumise should have a checkup at the Pokémon Center. Okay?"
"Yes, of course, Nurse Joy," Juliet says.
Then Nurse Joy turns to Romeo, "Romeo, it'd be a good idea for you to bring those Volbeat by the Center, too."
"Alright," Romeo says.
Then turns to Brock and Tomo, "Thanks, for saving me."
"It's no trouble. My name is Tomo," Tomo says.
Meloetta and Skwovet introduce themselves.
"I'm Ashley, it's nice to meet you," Mew says.
"Hello, my name's May," May says.
"I'm Jen," Jen says.
Amaura also says hello.
"And I'm Max," Max says.
"And I'm Molly," Molly says.
And Brock says, "Hey, my name's Brock."
"All of us are traveling together. I plan to enter the Hoenn League and the Grand Festival," Mew says.
"I plan to enter the Grand Festival too," May says.
"I sure wish I was as energetic as you. You have so much passion, I don't," Romeo says.
And Romeo then accidently sits on one of Corphish's head spikes.
"Yipes! See?! And no foresight!" Romeo panics, and jumps in the water.
"No energy?" Mew questions.
"No passion?" Jen questions.
"And no foresight?" Molly adds, confused.
"Looks like he's got tons of energy," May says.
"Or he's crazy," Max adds.
Romeo panics, "Pull me out of here! I'm going to catch a cold! I'm drowning again!"
As Romeo calls for help, Team Rocket watches from afar.
"Uh oh. I hope that Volbeat trainer's alright," Jessie says.
"And what's it to you how dat whiny wacko feels?" Meowth questions.
"I want to see Illumise and Volbeat do their light dance to bring me luck. And, perhaps, help me find my prince charming, too," Jessie says.
But it only works for two people in love already," James points out.
"And who says I'm not already in love with my prince charming," Jessie says and begins to imagine a charming man on a Rapidash before her, "He's on his way to sweep me off my feet so we can live happily ever after."
"Dat's/That's nice," James and Meowth reply.
But then, Meowth has an idea, "Wait a minute! Maybe we could catch dose Illumise and Volbeat and give em to da boss!"
"Why would we want to do that?" Jessie asks.
And Meowth begins to fantasize a scenario.
Meowth explains, "Imagine da boss woiking all day in his office."
"Go on," Jessie and James reply.
Meowth explains, "Wit da help of dose Volbeat and Illumise, he could use deir light to help him see what he's doing in de event of a blackout, just in case he don't have a flashlight. And you know what he'll say, right? 'These Firefly Pokémon are handy in times like this, so perhaps I should rewarded Meowth and his pals. '"
Jessie and James happily cry out, "Rewards!"
And the fantasy scenario ends.
"They might be expense accounts galore! Filled with lots of money!" Team Rocket cheers.
Jessie says, "Catching that Illumise and those Volbeat will be our express route to success!"
"Yes!" James and Meowth happily say.
"Woooobbu!" (Let's go!) Wobbuffet says.
A bit later, at the Pokémon Center.
"Here, Romeo, your Volbeat will be just find," Nurse Joy says and hands them over.
"Thank you. Thank you," Romeo says and lets out a sigh.
"Romeo. Hey, cheer up," Mew says.
"Pikachu," (Don't be sad.) Pikachu says.
"I know, but the way my luck has been running, we're going to mess up with this festival. And royally," Romeo says.
"We could help you practice," Mew says.
'That's right. We're all dying to see your light dance," May says.
"Good enough. No sense in being a wet blanket, right?" Romeo says.
Later, the group are outside Romeo's house by the shore of the lake.
"Without Illumise, we can't really have a proper rehearsal, but here goes," Romeo says, and, alls out his Pokemon, "Right then, Volbeat, go!"
All five Volbeat materialize.
Romeo twirls the baton, "Heads up, lads! Fly in formation!"
The Volbeat do so by forming a V.
Romeo calls out, "Somersault!"
The Vobeat follows instructions perfectly.
"Awesome!" Mew says, amazed.
"Talk about an improvement!" May says.
Max questions, "So, what's different?"
"Very good, Beat!" Romeo says.
"Vol," (Thank you!) Beat the Volbeat says.
"Well, if you can pull that off during the May Festival, there'll be nothing to worry about!" May says.
"Yeah, Romeo, you're gonna be great!" Tomo says.
"Thanks, Tomo. Everything is always aces when I practice alone, but when I try it out with Juliet, we both fall flat on our faces," Romeo explains.
May, listening to Romeo, formulates a theory as to why their failures occur.
"Wait, 'we'?" Molly questions.
"I mean Beat, my leading Volbeat," Romeo answers, "Whenever it gets near Illumise, Beat gets out of sorts."
"Volbeat," (That's right.) Beat confirms.
"So, you mean, Beat gets so nervous that you guys can't perform as well as you just did during rehearsal?" Max asks.
"Well, that's really weird," Tomo says.
May approaches Romeo and asks, "And how do you feel when you're with Juliet, Romeo?"
"I guess, first of all, I get this tight feeling in my chest. And then my heart starts beating faster, my hands start getting sweaty, and before I know it I start acting goofy and clumsy, shaking like a leaf and being unable to speak. Then I'm completely hopeless," Romeo explains.
" Vol Vol," (He's right.) Beat replies.
"Are you sure you're not sick, Romeo? Maybe you should go see a doctor," Tomo suggests.
"He's sick alright, no doubt about that. Problem is, I don't think any doctor can cure this affliction," May says.
"Why not?" Jen asks.
"He's lovesick,"
"Lovesick?" Tomo questions.
May soon approaches Romeo to ask, "So Romeo, you do like Juliet, don't you?"
"Huh?" Romeo replies.
Then Brock comes in, "Yes, I do! So much, I can't take it!"
Mew then grabs Brock by the ear, "She wasn't talking to you," and drags him away.
"Ashley's right, now go," May says.
"Right!" Brock cries out.
May turns to Romeo, "I'm right, aren't I, Romeo?"
"I, don't know," Romeo says, flustered, "See, Juliet and I... Uh... We've been mates since we were kids. So, no."
"Yes. Even old friends can fall in love you know," May says.
"Yeah? Straight on?" Romeo asks.
"Sure. And I'll bet Beat is in love with Illumise," May says.
Beat smiles.
"So we're both in love?" Romeo says, and feels flat, "Great. Just great. Now what am I supposed to do?"
"Now, don't you worry. I know just the thing," May says as she smiles and blushes, "There's nothing like finding young love."
"Check out May. She's really getting into all this," Tomo says.
Max sweat drops, "Of course. She lives for this kind of stuff.
May walks to Mew, "I've got an idea, Ashley. But first, can I ask you a favor?"
"A favor?" Mew questions.
Later that night, Romeo approaches 'Juliet'.
Nervous, Romeo says, "Uh, Juliet? Well, there's something I need to tell you. You see, it's just... I... I... Really…"
"Like you!" May says.
Romeo turns to May, "I don't think I can say it."
"It's easy. Don't be afraid. Once you tell her how you feel, she'll understand, and then all that pressure will be off," May says.
"But what if she says she doesn't like me?" Romeo asks, worried.
"Well, then, I guess you'd be sunk," May says.
"Well, that's no good," Romeo says.
"Hey guys, are we finished? I don't know how long I can do this," Mew's voice says, revealing that she's pretending to be Juliet.
"Well, you want to see Illumise and Volbeat's light dance too, Ashley, don't you?" May asks.
"Yes May," Mew says.
"Well, then, you have to help us out," May says.
"But why me? Can't you do it?" Mew asks.
"I can't, I'm the coach," May says.
"You have a point," Mew says.
"Great, now let's try this one more time," May says.
"But why?" Romeo questions, still unsure, "I just can't bring myself to say it,"
Then Brock comes over, "Would you like the master to show you how it's done?"
"Huh?" Romeo says, confused.
"My friend, truth is, I like Juliet every bit as much as you do. Man to man, no hard feelings, because we're rivals, okay?" Brock says.
"Uh, okay," Romeo says, confused.
"This just keep getting better and better," Max says, sarcastically.
The group nods.
And Brock brings out a bouquet of roses, "My Juliet, your beauty out-beautifies even these roses!" then kneels down, "Hark! Your love has pierced my heart as a thorn would! Dear Juliet, take my heart!" And climbs up the steps, "Heal me with your love!" and tries to hug Mew.
Mew panics, "That's it! I'm out of here!" And begins running away.
Mew panics and cries for Brock to leave him alone, but Brock is too caught up with his love.
"Well, if this doesn't take the cake, I don't know what does,"May says.
Romeo just sighs in response.
Meanwhile, at Juliet's house, Juliet is trying to think about Romeo's behavior.
"I don't understand it. What's happened to Romeo? He was so much less clumsy and awkward when he was younger," Juliet says.
"Illumise?" (Really?) Illumise asks.
"You know, we used to have so much fun together," Julie says.
Juliet has a flashback to when she and Romeo were teenagers
Juliet says, "Hey, Romeo?"
"Yeah?" Romeo asks.
"When you and I are grown up, do you think you'd want to marry me?" Juliet asks.
"Sure, why not?" Romeo says.
"Promise?" Juliet asks, and gives him a kiss on the cheek.
The two laugh as the flashback ends
"So much for that promise. I'm lucky if I can even get him to say hi," Juliet says.
Just then, both Juliet and Illumise soon notice a light shining in the distance outside their window.
"That looks like a Volbeat's light, huh?" Juliet says.
Meanwhile, up in the sky, Team Rocket was setting their plan in motion.
"Are you ready down there, Meowth?" Jessie asks.
"Let's get that Volbeat mating dance up and dancing!" James says.
"Youse got it!" Meowth says, dressed as a Volbeat. Then begins to sing and dance, "Step right up, Illumise baby! Take a chance and I don't mean maybe!"
Juliet and Illumise head outside to investigate
"Is that Romeo's Volbeat?"
"Illumise?" (Maybe) Illumise says.
Maybe they're coming over to practice with us," Juliet says.
Illumise, excited about the suggestion, flies out to the lake and towards the light.
But Meowth turns to her, "Too late! I'm spoken for!"
Illumise, shocked, is soon trapped when James traps her in a net, causing her light to go off.
"Illumise?" Juliet responds.
Back at the balloon, James says, "Well, look what I found while surfing the net."
"Alright, Meowth! You're like a real Volbeat!" Jessie says.
"All part of da job!" Meowth says.
As Meowth is hoisted up, Juliet notices the light still shining.
"Where are they going now?" Juliet questions.
She then calls out, "Illumise?! Illumise?!"
Meanwhile, Romeo is still fumbling his words, "Juliet, guess what. I... Like you."
But May says, "No, no, Romeo! Speak up! Like this!"
"I can't," Romeo says.
"You say you like Juliet, right?" May asks.
Romeo nods.
"Then you've got to tell her!" May says.
Little did any of them know Juliet was watching and listening to the whole thing.
"Romeo," Juliet says, as she blushes.
"I like you, Juliet! I really do!" Brock says, but notices the real Juliet standing behind a tree, "Whoa, it's the real Juliet."
Romeo turns to see her, "Juliet?"
"I just saw a Volbeat down by the lake, I was wondering if it was one of yours," Juliet explains.
"Not one of mine," Romeo confirms.
This has Julier worried, "Well, now I'm scared. Illumise thought it was one of your Volbeat, too, possibly Beat, then disappeared."
"Disappeared?" Mew, Jen, and Molly say, worried.
Then Brock says, "Juliet, fear not, I shall get Illumise back! This I vow!"
Ash: Really, Brock?" Tomo replies.
Then Jen asks, "Do you have any clues?"
"Nope," Brock answers.
Everyone sighs.
"Perfect," May says, sarcastically.
But then Romeo has an idea, ": Hold on! My Volbeat will be able to find Illumise! All they need to do is follow Illumise's scent!"
"That's a great idea!" Mew says.
"It might work," May says.
"Alright!" Max says.
"Thanks, Romeo.
Romeo nods with a smile and says, "Let's go, Beat."
Soon, Beat and the other Volbeat try to pick up the scent of Illumise before Beat manages to catch one and follow it.
"Hey, looks like the Volbeat have possibly caught her scent!" Romeo says.
"Great, let's go!" Mew says.
The group continues to follow the Volbeat as the sun begins to rise until the Volbeat fly up a cliff.
"Up there, huh?" Tomo says.
"That's a really steep cliff," Max says.
Romeo then says, "Alright, I'm climbing up, but the rest of you should walk around."
"But…" Juliet says, worried.
Brock then says, "Great! Then I'll take care of Juliet!"
"I'm going with you, Romeo," Mew says.
"Me too," Tomo says.
The Pokemon agree.
"Alright! Let's go," Romeo says.
With that, Romeo, Mew, and Tomo begin climbing up the cliff.
"Yeah!" Mew and Tomo say, "
As Romeo climbs, Juliet is amazed by him, "Romeo."
Then heads off with the others.
Soon, the three make it to the top after the Volbeat.
"What is it, Beat?" Romeo asks
The three are shocked when they see just what, or who, they found.
"Who are you?!" Romeo asks.
Soon, they see Jessie and James, the two that the twosome find, laugh in triumph while wearing Volbeat and Illumise costumes.
Jessie:
Prepare for trouble! Don't we look divine?
James:
And make it double, looking good, feeling fine!
Jessie:
To protect the world from devastation.
James:
To unite all peoples within our nation.
Jessie:
To walk the line towards the sweet scent of success.
James:
To light up your world with my Volbeatness!
Jessie: (removes her disguise)
Jessie.
James: (removes his disguise)
James.
Jessie:
Team Rocket blasts off at the scented speed of light.
James:
Surrender now or prepare yourselves for a sweet scented fight!
Meowth:
Dat's right!
Wobbuffet:
WOBBBBBBBUFFET! (Aaaand print it!)
"Team Rocket!" Mew and Tomo say, shocked.
The Pokemon cry out, (These guys again!)
"You sniffed your way right into our trap," Jessie says.
"You see, 'twas us sending out the Sweet Scent," James adds.
Illumise is seen in a cage, calling for help.
"Illumise!" Romeo calls out.
"Now time for da best part," Meowth says and presses a button to start a vacuum, "Volbeat, come on down!"
Romeo calls out, "Hold on to each other real tight!"
The Volbeat try, but four of them get sucked in.
"My Volbeat!" Romeo cries out.
"Now time ta power up," Meowth says and presses another button, which increases the suction power
The suction of the machine soon pulls in Pikachu and Eevee.
"Pikachu! Eevee!" Mew cries out.
Then does the same with Meloetta and Skwovet.
"Meloetta! Skowvet!" Tomo cries out.
Soon, Mew and Tomo get sucked in as everyone comes running.
"Ashley!" May calls out.
"Tomo!" Jen calls out.
However, when the group hits the mouth of the vacuum, they block the suction.
Mew calls out, "Romeo, you gotta save Illumise!"
"Straight away, Ashley!" Romeo says and calls out, "Use Quick Attack on that cage, Beat!"
Volbeat soon uses the attack to shatter the cage. Illumise is happy.
"Drat! Illumise's free!" Jessie says.
James then says, "Meowth, make sure we at least catch Pikachu and Eevee!
"Maximum suction, go!" Meowth says, and presses a button.
And with that, everyone is sucked in.
"No, Ashley!" Brock calls out.
"Tomo!" Molly calls out.
"Pikachu! Eevee!" Max calls out.
"Meloetta! Skwovet!"May calls out.
"Next stop…" Jessie says.
"The last stragglers!" James says.
"Come on in!" Meowth says.
The vacuum begins to approach them.
Inside the machine.
"Stop this thing!" Mew cries out, "Pikachu, Eevee, Thunderbolt, now!"
Both Pokemon perform the attack, and shuts off the machine.
"Oh, no!" Team Rocket cries out.
Then Romeo calls out, "Go, Beat! Double Edge, now!"
Beat darts in and smash the vacuum to pieces, freeing the dizzy captives.
"Stop spinning," Tomo says.
"Why is the place spinning?" Mew asks.
"You're going nowhere!" Jessie says and calls out her Pokemon, "Seviper, catch them again!"
Seviper comes out and and darts at four of the Volbeat
"Look out!" Brock cries out.
"They're gonna get the Volbeat again!" May says.
Just then, Juliet calls out, "Illumise, use your Sweet Scent to lure them in!"

"Team Rocket's blasting off again!" Team Rocket cries out.
They all soon see Illumise kissing Beat. Beat blushes in response.
Romeo then turns to Juliet and says, "Juliet, listen. I like you."
Juliet then turns her head, "So sudden."
"Huh?" Romeo says, confused.
Then Brock comes in with a bouquet of flowers, "Juliet? I like you too. And at least I brought you flowers."
However, Juliet says, "Brock, I'm sorry. You see, I like someone else."
Brock gasps, completely crushed as his bouquet of flowers drifts away.
Juliet then turns to Romeo, "You promised we'd get married when we were older. So, then?" And winks, "Gonna keep your promise?"
"Sure. Why not?" Romeo says, blushing.
"Looks like all's well that ends well," Max says.
"This is great, I just love happy endings," May says.
"It's so sweet," Jen says.
"Uh huh," Molly says.
Seeing Brock, Mew says, "Well, happy for most of us."
Later that night, the May Festival is underway.
"Volbeat, fly in formation!" Romeo says.
'Follow, Illumise!" Jessie says.

"Gary?" May asks and turns to Mew with a smile, "So you have a special someone in your life too," May asks.
Mew blushes and says, "Well, you could say that."
"Aww, I want to hear all about it when we have the chance," May says.
"Oh dear," Mew says.
