Episode 45: The Princess and the Togepi
Still on their way to Fallarbor Town, Mew and her friends have stopped on the shore of a lake, waiting for a very special friend."
Pikachu notices, "Pika Pi!" (Look everyone!)
"Eevee Eevee!" (There she is!) Eevee happily calls out.
"There she is!" Brock says.
Everyone looks ahead, and running towards them is Misty.
Jen happily says, "Misty!"
"Hey, Misty!" Tomo happily waves.
"Hi Misty!" Mew calls out.
Misty runs up to them, "Hey, you guys!"
"Togepi!" (Hello!) Togepi happily says.
"Pikachu, Eevee, how've you and the other Pokemon been?" Misty asks.
"Pika!" (We're great!) Pikachu says.
"How about you Mew… Tomo… Jen… Molly… Brock?
"Great!" The group of five happily reply.
"Hi Togepi, it's great to see you too," Mew says.
"Togi Togepriii," (It's good to see you too.) Togepi says.
"It's been a while Misty!" Jen says.
"It has," Misty says.
Then Molly asks, "Hey Misty, where's Sparkle!"
"I'll show you," Misty says and gets out her Pokeball, and calls out, "Go Sparkle!"
And with that, Sparkle comes out. However, to everyone's surprise, Sparkle is no longer a Pikachu, but a Raichu.
"Wow. Sparkle evolved!" Jen says.
"She sure has, and is getting stronger and faster too," Misty says.
The Pokemon happily greet Sparkle and congratulate her for evolving.
"So how's the gym leader life?" Brock asks.
"Oh, busy. My big sisters are all so generous. They like to give me all the work," Misty says.
And soon spot May and Max, "You must be May. And you're Max, right? Hi there."
May rushes to Misty, "Hi to you, too. We've heard so much about you."
"Hi, Misty," Max says. Then spots Togepi, "Hi Togepi, it's nice to meet you.
Then May brings out her Pokedex, "Adorable!"
Dextette says, "Togepi, the Spike Ball Pokémon. A Fairy Type. Togepi is said to exude a relaxing aura that grows stronger when treated nicely."
"Togepi!" (That's me!) Togepi says.
"It's thanks to Togepi, that I was even able to meet up with you here," Misty says.
Later, she shows an invitation to a festival with a picture of Togepi on it
"Whoa! It's an invitation to the Togepi Festival!" Mew says.
"A gathering of all Togepi trainers? Hmm, "Brock says.
Misty: And it's being held in this hotel," Misty says.
"Sounds cool, and I got just the Pokemon," Mew says and tosses her Pokeball, "Come on out, Faye."
Soon, Mew's Togepi, Faye, comes out and is happy.
"Hi Faye, it's nice to see you again," Misty says.
Faye happily says, "Toge toge," (Hi Misty.)
"Great. Now let's all go check it out," Mew says.
But Misty says, "Hold on, I'm the one who's invited! Since I heard you were here I thought I'd invite you all as my guests, especially since I knew Mew has a Togepi, but, you can't get in unless you're with Togepi and me," Picks up Togepi as she talks, "Those are the rules."
"That's true," Mew says and picks up hers.
But before they could enter, they were confronted by a group of cloaked people.
"Welcome my children," A female cloaked woman says, and it's familiar.
Then the cloaked male says, "We represent the Togepi Festival Operating Committee, yes. We have the distinct honor and great pleasure to be your guides today."
"Oh," Misty replies.
Then the first cloaked woman says, "A darling Togepi!
"Yes indeed, darling! And two of them makes it even more darling," The second cloaked man says.
"Toge?" (Darling?) Both Togepi reply, confused.
Then the first cloaked person says, "Now, my Togepi Festival invitee!"
"Only one trainer and one Pokemon, please. And your friend and her Togepi can come," The second cloaked person says.
Misty becomes confused, "Yes, but... Excuse me."
And they both say, "No excuses. Chop chop."
And with that, the cloaked people dragged Misty and Mew into the building. Soon, Brock and the others rush after them.
"Hey! Misty!" Tomo calls out.
"Mew!" May calls out.
But the door closes on them and locks.
The two cloaked people continue dragging Misty and Mew to another room up the ramp.
"You'll be staying in the VIP suite along with your guest," The second cloaked person says.
"With your very important Pokemon!" The first cloaked person says.
"Tata!" The second cloaked person says.
Both figures run off
"This is a VIP room?" Misty questions.
"Yes, just make yourself at home," The first cloaked woman says.
"But where are you two going?" Mew asks.
The hatch quickly closes
Suddenly, James' voice appears, "Togepi is ours! And now we've got two of them!"
And Wobbuffet appears, "Wooooobbu! ("Suuuuccess!")
The other figure gets out a radio, revealing the whole thing to be a Team Rocket plot.
"We've got them both, Meowth, pull out!" Jessie says.
"At the deck of the blimp, Meowth says, "Aye aye! Time ta take off!" and pulls a latch and laughs.
Outside the 'hotel' the rest of Mew and Misty's friends watch and run for it as it came apart to reveal a blimp
"Misty?!" Brock calls out.
"Mew?!" Tomo calls out.
"This is no Togepi Festival!" Tomo says.
"You're right, it's a trap!" Max says.
Soon, Pikachu, Eevee, and Sparkle chase after the blimp to rescue their trainers and Togepi.
"Pika Pi!" (Mew!) Pikachu calls out.
"Vee!" (Faye!) Eevee calls out.
Sparkle calls out, "Rai Rai! Raichu!" (Misty! Togepi!)
"Come on guys, we gotta follow them!" Brock says.
"Right!" Everyone agrees.
Everyone runs as fast as they can, and Brock grabs a rope.
Brock calls out, "Everyone, Tomo, Jen call your Pokemon back in their Pokeballs and everyone, climb on!"
Tomo and Jen call back their Pokemon and everyone grabs on to the rope. Soon, everyone hangs on as the blimp gains altitude.
"It's time for more of May's Expeditions!" May says.
"Oh, please!" Max says, annoyed.
Inside the blimp's cargo hold, Mew and May are confused of what's going on.
"It feels like we're moving," Misty says.
"Toge?" (We are?) Togepi says.
"But where?" Mew wonders
"Toge." (Don't know.) Faye replies.
Meanwhile, the rest of Mew and Misty's friends managed to climb aboard the blimp.
"That was close," Max says.
"No, that was great!" May says.
"I wonder where this blimp is heading," Tomo says.
The blimp proceeds to fly over a vast desert before Team Rocket spots what appears to be a sandstorm ahead
"Ah, we're right on course. Meowth, steer us straight into that sandstorm," James says.
"Hang on to your beach towels!" Meowth says.
Brock opens and peeks out of a hatch, "A sandstorm. How is the blimp supposed to get through that?
"What? What do you mean through?" Jen asks, worried.
Get ready for a big hit, guys! Grab onto something, fast," Brock says.
May squeals in a panic, "Could this be the last expedition for me?!"
"Come on! Will you please just give it a rest?!" Max says, annoyed.
The blimp flies into the sandstorm and everyone tries to hang on through the turbulence. Soon, the sandstorm clears up and the blimp is shown to be flying towards a mountain range.
"Well, that was easy," Jessie says.
"A day at the beach," James says, "Maintain altitude."
The blimp flies closer to the mountain range.
"Ready? Prepare for landing," James says.
Meowth salute, "Aye aye, sir!"
"And there it is," Jessie says.
"Ah. Da Mirage Kingdom," Meowth says, seeing their destination.
Brock soon spots the blimp's destination through the hatch, "There's a town."
Everyone peeks out from the hatch to see it.
"We're heading right for it," Max says.
Further in said kingdom, a young lady in a blue dress spots the blimp landing. Inside the blimp, Mew and Misty realize what just happened.
"I think we've stopped," Misty says.
"Yeah," Mew says.
Jessie and James return, in their disguises once more.
"So, a pleasant flight, yes?" James questions.
"We hope so. I'm pleased to announce that we've arrived at the Togepi Festival Stadium," Jessie says.
Mew and Misty soon disembarks and looks around.
"Welcome to the Mirage Kingdom," Jessie says.
"Mirage Kingdom?" Misty questions.
"Alright, someone better tell us what's going on," Mew says.
Suddenly, they hear Brock's voice, "Mew! Misty!"
The girls turn to see the rest of their friends.
"Brock! You Guys!" Mew says.
"You're here!" Misty says.
Everyone rushes toward them.
"Are you both okay?" Molly asks.
"Yes, we're fine," Misty says.
Jessie whispers to James, "The twerps. Just great."
"We don't take kindly to stowaways!" James says.
Then May demands, "What's the big idea with bringing Mew and Misty here?!
"One of you better tell us what's going on!" Brock says.
Soon, Mew says, "I have a feeling I know!
Then Misty demands, "Now, you better tell us who you are this instant!"
Jessie and James chuckles and says, "Okay."
Jessie:
Prepare for trouble, and not a surprise!
James:
And make it double since you saw through our disguise!
Jessie:
To protect the world from devastation.
James:
To unite all peoples within our nation.
Jessie:
To denounce the evils of truth and love.
James:
To extend our reach to the stars above.
Jessie and James:
Voila!
And they remove their disguises.
Jessie:
Jessie!
James:
James!
Jessie:
Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light.
James:
Surrender now, or prepare to fight, fight, fight!
Meowth:
Meowth! Dat's right!
Wobbuffet:
Wobbuffet! (End of scene!)
"So, that's that," Jessie says.
"Well now, aren't you glad you asked?" James replies.
"Team Rocket," Misty says, shocked, "You guys never change. Still after Pikachu and Eevee I bet!"
But they both wag their fingers, "Na uh uh."
And Jessie says, "Nope, not this time."
"We've mixed things up this time. This time, our eyes are on your Togepi!" James says and points to Misty's Togepi
"Togepi?" Everyone says, shocked and confused.
"And of course, the twerpette's Togepi is a good bonus," Jessie adds.
"Wooobbuffet!" (Let's get them!) Wobbuffet says.
"I'm wit ya! Let's get grabbin!" Meowth says and pounces with claws unsheathed.
However, someone grabs Meowth's head and pulls him away.
The group looks to see a man who is dressed in dark purple, wears a hat, and is dressed like he's a general. He has a grayish mustache and hair.
Jessie is quick to say, "Colonel Hansen!
"You see? We bought a Togepi, just as you ordered. And we even got you another one just in case," James says.
"You see? I told you we wouldn't let you down, didn't I?" Jessie says.
But then the colonel just throws Meowth in James' face.
Col. Hansen sternly says, "Your plan was a failure. I instructed you to bring a Togepi, not a bunch of trainers."
"So you're the leader behind this!" Mew demands.
"Yes, that is correct. I'm the Mirage Kingdom's leader, Colonel Hansen, and I need a Togepi!" Col. Hansen, then approaches Mew and May, "One of you will hand over your Togepi and leave this kingdom at once!"
"You want us to do what?" Mew angrily says, holding her Togepi.
"Not in ten million years!" Misty says.
"In that case," Col. Hansen says, and snaps his fingers.
From behind the colonel, a Shedinja rises. Shedinja is a Pokémon resembling a cicada's shed exoskeleton. Most of its body is light brown, but the abdomen is gray. It has four protrusions on its underside instead of legs; the top pair is brown, while the lower is gray. There are round protrusions on the side of its head with narrow slits for eyes. Two lines encircle its abdomen and a white crescent-shaped halo floats above its head. On its back is a pair of tattered wings divided into three wingtips. A hole between its wings reveals that its body is completely hollow and dark.
"What's that?" Molly asks.
"Shedinja!" Max says.
The Shedinja's halo rises up vertically and fires a Solar Beam.
Col. Hansen turns to Team Rocket, "You three bravehearts wait right there."
"What'd you do that for?" Jen cries out.
Colonel Hansen chuckles as two Ninjask appear.
Ninjask is a small, cicada-like Pokémon with two pairs of wings. Its body is mostly black with accents of yellow and gray. Most of its head is yellow, but there is a solid band of black between its gleaming red eyes. The band expands into a circular pattern on its forehead, between two pointed crests on the sides of its head. The underside of its head is gray and segmented, making it somewhat resemble a veil. On its back is a patch of black with a stretch of yellow, shaped like an upside-down letter Y. Most of its carapace and abdomen is black, but there is a ring of yellow near the tip. Its gray insectoid arms extend from its chest and usually have their small, yellow claws turned inward. There is a similar pair of back legs. It has large, veined wings with triangular, red tipping.
"Ninjask!" Max says, shocked.
"It's a good thing I'm no longer afraid of bugs, but I sensed we're in trouble," Misty says, feeling concerned.
Soon, Tomo steps forward, "Mew, you need to get everyone out of here. I'll take care of them."
"But Tomo," Mew says, worried.
"I'll take care of it," Tomo says, and calls out, "Go Zephyr!"
And Zephyr the Pidgeotto comes out.
Then Brock calls out, "Mudkip, go!"
And Mudkip comes out.
Then Jen says, "I'll help, too. Zorua, I choose you!"
And Zorua comes out.
Then Brock says, "Mew run!"
"Right!" Mew says.
Soon, the two Ninjask flies towards them,
Col. Hansen calls out, "Ninjask, attack with Shadow Ball!"
The two Ninjask dart in to launch their attacks.
Jen calls out, "Zorua, use Night Daze!"
"Water Gun, Mudkip!" Brock calls out.
Both Pokemon fire the attack, creating a blinding light.
Mew says, "Come on, let's go!"
With that, Mew and the others make their escape.
But Col. Hansen spots them and commands his Pokemon, "Get them, don't let Togepi near the Queen."
Shedinja levitates after them
Just then, Jessie speaks up. Excuse me. What about us?"
"What should we be doing?" James asks.
The Colonel just shrugs in response.
Meanwhile, Mew and the others continue running down the hill.
May turns to Mew and Misty, "Why would they want your Togepi?"
"That's what I'd like to know," Misty says.
"Wanna save that for later?" Max questions.
"You're right, Max, but something weird is going on here," Mew says.
Everyone continues down toward what appears to be a garden before they enter and hide in a maze.
"How long do we have to keep running?" Molly asks, worried.
"I don't know, Molly. I guess till we feel safe," Max says.
Misty turns around, "Brock, Tomo, Jen. I feel bad for leaving them."
"Me too. We need to figure out what's going on," Mew says.
"Oh no. Shedinja!" Misty says, worried.
May gets out her Pokédex, and Dextette says, "Shedinja, the Shed Pokemon. A bug and Ghost Type. Shedinja possesses a hard, powerful body giving it strong defenses."
"I don't know if we have to deal with ten of them. I'm not letting them have our Togepi," Mew says.
"You're right! We have to protect our Togepi!" Misty sys, and calls out, "Corsola, I choose you!"
And Corsola comes out.
Misty calls out, "Spike Cannon, now!"
Corsola fires the attack, but the attack does nothing against Shedinja.
"It bounced right off!" May cries out.
"No surprises. Shedinja have very strong defenses," Mew says.
Shedinja charges another Solar Beam.
"Here comes another Solar Beam!" Max cries out.
Soon, Shedinja fires the attack, and sends everyone flying, especially the two Togepi.
"Togepi!" Misty cries out.
"Faye!" Mew cries out.
Meanwhile, the lady in blue is busy tending to some plants when she hears a splash behind her. She checks the fountain and discovers the two Togepi before smiling
"Togepi! Two of them!" The lady says, and them both up, "Finally! You've finally come to be with me. Togepi! And you've also got a friend."
Meanwhile, another woman was tending to the garden before the young lady comes in
Soon, the young lady calls out, "Miranda!"
The woman, Miranda turns to the lady, "Yes? What is it, my princess?"
The young lady, who is the princess, says, "Look! Togepi! Two of them!"
"Oh! That's wonderful!" Miranda says.
Then the princess says, "Yes, but the poor things' have been hurt. Miranda, could you please tend to them?"
Soon, both Togepi and Fay slowly regain consciousness.
Back at the battlefield, the smoke blinds the sight of the battlers until a Ninjask appears.
Tomo calls out, "Zephyr, use Wing Attack!"
Zephyr then uses the attack, but Ninjask seemingly evades in time.
Tomo notices it, "Was that Double Team?
Jen calls out, "Zorua, use Shadow Ball."
Zorua uses Shadow Ball, but it misses as well.
"What?" Jen questions.
Brock calls out, "Water Gun, Mudkip!"
Mudkip fires the attack, but misses again.
"That one was using Double Team too," Jen says.
"And they're using the smoke from the blast as cover!" Brock says.
"Then where are the real ones?" Tomo asks.
Soon Zorua barks, making the other walk over. To their surprise, Zorua finds a hole.
"It's a hole," Jen says.
Soon, Brock understands, "I get it. Those Ninjask, they must know Dig. They must've tunneled underneath us!"
"Well, I'm going in after them! Come on, zephyr!" Tomo says.
With that, Tomo and Zephyr go into the hole.
"Right!" Jen says.
Jen and Zorua follow them down too.
"Come on, Mudkip!" Brock calls out, and hops into the hole with Mudkip following behind.
Meanwhile, in the castle, a soldier was informing the king about the group of trainers, claiming they were intruders.
"Did you say intruders?" The King questions.
"Yes, your majesty. But not to worry, Colonel Hansen has taken the lead in pursuing them," The soldier says.
Miranda soon enters, "Majesty."
"Please, not now, Miranda," the king says.
But then Miranda says, "Yes, but, sire, it's urgent. Two Togepi found its way to the princess."
"Togepi?" The King questions.
Meanwhile, the princess and another woman were tending to Togepi and Faye.
"There. See? You both will be fine," The princess says.
The woman says, "Wonderful. Now, the succession ceremony can take place tomorrow!
"Yes, mother," The princess says.
Soon, Miranda and King come in.
"You see? There, your majesty," Miranda says.
"Look, father, there's two Togepi!" the princess says.
"My stars! It is a Togepi! Two of them!" The king says, "This is truly a miracle. To think, a Togepi would appear at the perfect time."
"Yes. And that means I've found, the perfect partner!" The princess says, and hugs both Togepi.
"Truly, a miracle, yes," Miranda says with tears of joy.
Soon, Togepi and Faye sense something.
"There you are!" Misty's voice calls out.
Everyone looks and sees Misty, Mew and the others, though Misty is out of breath. Both girls rush over.
"Togepi!" Misty says.
"Faye!" Mew says.
Miranda soon stands in the way.
"Who are you?" Miranda questions.
"What? Who am I? I want to know who you all are!" Misty says.
"Can someone tell us what's going on," Mew says.
Soon, Misty notices, "Okay, so you want our Togepi."
Both Togepi chirp happily to see the girls, and the princess begins to notice.
Mew calms herself and says, "Look, all we want is our Togepi back. So you give them back to us."
The princess is shocked to hear it.
"Of all the impudent!" The king says upset, "
Soon, the Colonel comes in, "Majesty, I didn't know you were here!"
"You!" Misty cries out.
"Not him again!" May angrily says.
Col. Hansen then says to the king, "Your majesty, be careful. These are some of the intruders me and my men have been looking for."
"Right," The King says with a nod.
But Mew says, "Hold on, just a minute. You're the reason why my friend and I were forced to come here to begin with."
"That's right. You had Team rocket bring us here on a blimp," Misty adds.
"You were saying something about needing a Togepi, remember?" May adds.
Soon, the mother asks, "Would someone please explain this?"
"Father?" the princess questions.
The King turns to the colonel, "Hansen."
"Sire?" Col. Hanson questions.
"Please leave this room and my presence," the King says.
Col. Hansen quickly says, "But, sire…"
"You'll do as you're told," The King says, sternly.
The colonel eyes Misty and Mew's Togepi before turning to leave, until the rest of the group arrive.
"There you are! You owe us an apology for that stupid stunt!" Tomo says angrily.
"Hold on, Tomo," Mew says, "Something's not right about this."
"Mew's right. Something's wrong," Misty adds.
The Colonel, eying the group before closing the door as Togepi and Faye motions at Misty and Mew
"So, this is your Togepi then?" The King asks.
"Yes, sir," Mew says, but notices, "But what's that on Togepi's and Faye's front spike?"
"That's where they were injured, so we treated them," The princess says.
"That's so nice, thank you," Misty says, "My name's Misty, I'm the gym leader in Cerulean City."
"I'm Sara, the princess of Mirage Kingdom," the princess says.
Brock is amazed, "Wow! The princess!"
Soon, the King and Queen gather everyone into the throneroom.
There, the king explains, "I sincerely regret causing you all so much trouble. Regrettably, Hansen has been disrupting things all over the kingdom. And now it is apparent he was plotting to steal your Togepi for his own needs."
Soon, Sara says, "Please believe me. We never had any intention of stealing anything from anyone," Then says to Misty and Mew, "Especially your Togepi. The instant they saw you, I knew instantly that you were their trainers. And then I realized that the possibility of a Togepi coming here for me was too good to be true."
"Come here for you?" Misty asks.
"What do you mean?" Mew wonders.
Then the King says, "We all must remove the Mirage Kingdom immediately," Then turns to Miranda, "Prepare an airship."
"Yes, your majesty," Miranda says.
"But, wait," Misty speaks up, "Please, sire. Can you tell us what this is all about?"
Moments later, the group are taken to another building by Sara and Miranda.
Miranda explains, "For centuries within our kingdom, Togepi have been worshiped as our guardian Pokemon of liberty and peace. Ever since the beginnings of our recorded history, it has been the duty and mission of anyone within the royal family and ascending the throne to seek out and find a Togepi.
"Their mission?" Mew questions.
"Toge?" (Mission?) Faye questions.
"Yes, indeed," Miranda says.
"Mission indeed!" Miranda says, "And this is how Sarah's father, the King earned his throne.
"So, then, what happened to the king's Togepi?" Brock asks.
"Returned from whence it came," Miranda says, "In our Kingdom, it is Togepi's final departure that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt the right and duty of the current monarch to rule the land! And in that way, Togepi proved that Sarah's father had ascended to the throne to rule as the proper king of the Mirage Kingdom!"
"Togepi sure is one awesome Pokémon!" May says.
"Who woulda known?" Maz says.
"This would have been accomplished in a ceremony to be held in this very temple tomorrow, but alas..." Princess Sara says, and lowers her head in sadness.
"What ceremony?" Misty asks.
"The ceremony giving the right to succeed the throne to the one who seeks out Togepi," Miranda says.
And Princess Sara sadly says, "Sadly, I have not been very successful in finding my Togepi in time for the appointed day."
"And so without a Togepi, the ceremony cannot be performed," Miranda says.
"Now it makes sense, Team Rocket was hoping to take my Togepi to Colonel Hanson for the ceremony," Misty says.
"But they also decided to take you and your Togepi, Faye too. Hoping to have another just in case," Molly says.
"If what you're saying is true, then Hanson's true intention was to use one of our Togepi to selfishly crown himself the new ruler of the kingdom," Mew says.
"Yes. that Miranda and I believed that theory ourselves," Princess Sara says.
"Yes. We have the belief that Hanson wants the power of this guardian, Togepi all for himself," Miranda adds.
Everyone is shocked to hear it.
Max asks, "So, Misty, Mew, what kind of power do Togepi and Faye have?"
"Toge?" (Power?) Togepi and Faye question.
Soon, Brock comes over and takes Sara's hand, "Worry not, my fair princess. Yes, it is my one purpose in life to rescue you from this political turmoil."
Mistu quickly grabs Brock's ear and yanks him away, "There's enough turmoil for one day.
Brock cries out, "Not the ear! Not the ear!
"Just like old times, huh, Brock?" Mew replies.
"Whoa. She's as brutal if not more brutal than Mew when she does that," Max says.
Shocked, May says, "But I do like her style."
Misty throws Brock aside, and approaches the princess, "Please Princess Sara, there's got to be something we can do."
But Princess Sara says, "No. You've all been exposed to enough danger already. You must leave the Mirage Kingdom at once."
"But, without a Togepi, what would you do?" Misty asks.
"Don't worry about me, Misty. I'm sure it'll all work out," Princess Sara answers.
Mew, Misty, and the others are very worried about this.
Meanwhile, Hansen was plotting once more
"It is my destiny to acquire the throne of the Mirage Kingdom. And with the power of a Togepi, it shall be so," Col. Hansen says, as he feeds his Ninjask, "And soon, a new age will dawn upon the Mirage Kingdom."
"Hanson the King!" Jessie cheers.
"I love it!" James says.
"All hail King!" Meowth says.
"Wooooobbuffet!" (Hail the king!) Wobbuffet adds.
Then Col. Hansen says, "Hear this. As soon as I have ascended the throne and acquired the power that comes with it, you shall also know great power as a token of my thanks. But first…"
"We catch Togepi!" Team Rocket says.
"We must have that Togepi before tomorrow so that the ceremony will commence," Col. Hanson says.
Meanwhile, Mew and her friends arrive at the blimp, but they all wish to help Sara and her family.
Princess Sara says, "Mew, Misty, now listen, it's important that you leave the Mirage Kingdom before Hansen and those three criminals he hired attempt to capture your Togepi.
"Alright," Mew and Misty agree reluctantly.
Suddenly, a gust of wind kicks up and quickly dies down.
May soon spots something, "Hey! Look over there, guys!"
They all look and see what appears to be a transparent copy of the ceremonial temple floating above the original, though upside-down.
"Unbelievable!" Misty says, surprised.
"Wow!" Molly says.
"Amazing!" Jen adds.
"We were all just inside of that temple," Brock says.
"What's going on?" Tomo asks.
"A mirage?" Maz wonders.
Soon, Togepi and Faye become mesmerized by what they see before reaching out for the temple, temporarily glowing with a light blue aura, and levitating out of Misty and Mew's arms.
"Togepi!" Misty calls out.
"Faye!" Mew calls out.
"They're flying!" Tomo says.
"Could it, possibly be?" Princess Sara questions.
"Yes! Somehow, Togepi and Faye sensed that beyond the mirage we're all witnessing is the paradise," Miranda says.
"So cool," Molly says.
Both Togepi and Faye continue reaching out to the mirage, where the paradise is. Suddenly, Hansen's Shedinja shows up.
"Hanson's Shedinja!" Max cries out.
"Shedinja charges a Solar Beam to attack.
Togepi!/Faye!" Mew and May cry out and grab both their Togepi
Shedinja fires the attack and everyone gets out of the way as the blast destroys the boarding ramp of the blimp before the colonel himself shows up with Team Rocket and his Ninjask in tow.
"Give up this attempt at escape!" Col. Hansen says.
"One of you twerpettes, hand over dat Togepi and pronto!" Meowth says.
"Hansen!" Princess Sara says, shocked.
"And Team Rocket!" Tomo adds.
"Well you can forget it!" Mew says.
"That's right. Our Togepi are staying right here!" Misty says.
"Fine then," Col. Hanson says, and calls out, "Shedinja, Solar Beam!"
Shedinja charges the attack.
Mew calls out, "Pikachu, use Thunderbolt now!"
Pikachu leaps off of Mew's shoulder and the Shedinja and fires the attack. Soon, both attacks cause an explosion. What strange and mysterious event is being foreshadowed by the great temple unexpectedly appearing in the sky? As Hansen and Team Rocket close in on Togepi, will Mew and her friends find within themselves the strength to withstand the power of their attacks?
