Episode 57: Going, Going, Yawn
Shortly after arriving in Lavaridge Town where Mew hopes to win his fourth badge, they soon meet a girl named Flannery, the new leader of the Lavaridge gym, and her grandfather, Mr. Moore. When Team Rocket arrives to steal Flannery's Torkoal, they are able to work together and foil their evil plan. They returned Torkoal to its owner and proved, once again, the value of teamwork. Now, after a relaxing sand bath for them, Mew prepares to enter the battle that could earn him another Hoenn League badge.
Right now, Mew and her friends are standing in front of the gym once more.
"Today is the day for my gym battle for the Heat Badge of the Lavaridge Gym," Mew says.
Brock then asks, "So Mew, do you have a strategy all figured out?"
"Well, I do to be honest. Flannery Pokemon are Fire Types, so Water Types would be the best approach," Mew says.
"Yeah. And also, Torkoal and Magcargo are also Rock Types so Water Types should be super effective," Max says.
"Yep. So one of the Pokemon that will be good to use is Corphish, and also my Milotic, and my other Water Types," Mew says.
"Wow. A good variety," May says.
She then asks, "Maybe I'll get to see the Red Gyarados again."
"Maybe," Mew says.
A bit later, both competitors are in position and ready to go.
Mr. Moore announces, "This gym battle between Flannery, our first-year gym leader, and Ashley from Pallet Town, will now begin!"
"Grandpa, do you have to say that I'm new?" Flannery says, annoyed.
Mr. Moore then says, "No grandpa stuff out here, Flannery. You'll address me as 'judge'."
"Alright," Flannery says, sweating drops.
Mr. Moore continues to explain, "Both trainers will use up to three Pokémon each, only the challenger is allowed to make substitutions."
"Say what?! Only she can make substitutions?!" Flannery asks, shocked.
"Do you not know the rules?" Flannery asks.
Flannery answers, "Yeah, of course I do," and laughs sheepishly as her grandpa shrugs, "Well, Ashley, it's showtime."
"Yep. Should be a good battle if you're as good as you say you are," Mew says.
"Uh, yeah," Flannery says, nervously.
"Ashely is pretty excited," May says.
"She's wanted this badge for sometime now," Brock says.
"That's true," Max says.
"I'm pretty excited to see a gym battle," Zinnia says.
Aster nods in agreement.
"Besides the last battle, this will be Flannry's first battle. It may sound easy, but I still need to keep a good head on my shoulder. Don't know what Flannery would do," Mew says.
Mr. Moore calls out, "Are you ready, contestants?"
"Yes!" The girls answer.
Mr. Moore then announces, "Begin!"
Flannery then calls out, "Mag, time to go!"
Mag soon comes out.
"So you're with your newly evolved Mag first," Mew says, "Well, I have just the answer. Milotic, I choose you!"
Milotic then comes out of the Pokeball.
"Milotic seems like a good strategy," Jen says
"Yeah," Brock and Tomo say.
"Just the way she planned," Max says.
"Never knew she had a Shiny Milotic," Zinnia says.
"I know. It's beautiful," May says.
"Alright, Ashley, bring it on!" Flannery says.
"Oh, I will!" Mew says
However, unbeknownst to anyone, Team Rocket was spying from afar.
"Twerpette spotted at two o'clock," Jessie says.
"What's our sinister kidnapping scheme de jure?" James asks.
"Easy, the old but brutal tunnel attack!" Meowth says, "Foist, we dig a tunnel under da ground until we're right undah da gym, den, we bust trough right in da middle of deir battle, grab Pikachu or Eevee an' Magcargo an' leave da same way! We'll be gone before dey realize how we hit 'em!"
"Yes! It's the simplest yet most diabolically brilliant kidnapping plan!" Jessie says.
"Flawless!" James says.
"Wooobuffet!" (Let's do it!) Wobbuffet says.
Meowth cheers, "Let da tunnel digging begin!"
But as Jessie and Meowth start to dig, James starts to second-guess things.
"I seem to be having DeJa'Vu, didn't we try this same plan every time they're at a gym?" James says.
Jessie and Meowth soon say to James, "Less remembering, more digging!"
Back at the battle…
Mew calls out, "Milotic, use Water Gun!"
Milotic performs the attack.
Flannery calls out, "Mag, dodge that!"
Mag tries, but gets hit.
"Direct hit!" Jen says.
"That will do some damage," Max says.
Flannery calls out, "Hang on, Mag! Use Flamethrower!"
Mag performs the attack.
But then Mew calls out, "Milotic, quick use Safeguard!"
Milotic does so, lessening the impact.
"Way to go, Milotic, keep it up!" Mew calls out.
"Mew's plan is working," Molly says.
"And now its defenses are even stronger," Max says.
"But Mew needs to be careful," Brock says.
Mew then calls out, "Milotic, use Water Gun!"
Milotic breaks the Flamethrower, and the Water Gun
"Mag, Double Team!" Flannery calls out.
Mag creates multiple duplicates of itself and surrounds Miltoic with them, worrying Mew and Milotic
"Getting frustrated or worried over there, Ashley? Must be cause you're only hitting the fakes," Flannery calls out.
Then Mew calls out, "Milotic, blast them all until you find the real one!"
Milotic leaps up and fires before hitting the real Mag
Flannery cries out, "Oh, no!"
"Alright, Milotic!" Mew cheers.
"Mag's in trouble!" Flannery calls out, "Come on, you've got to get up! Mag!"
In his thoughts, Mr. Moore says, "Relax, Flannery, don't panic."
Flannery looks at her grandfather, "I got to think. What did grandpa always tell me?"
Flannery has a flashback to one of her grandpa's battling lessons.
She remembers what her grandfather says, "Listen, Flannery. To succeed as a gym leader, you must remain cool and focused during battle. When under pressure, you won't make the correct decision unless you remain calm," and soon notices his granddaughter was asleep, "Do you hear me, Flannery?!"
Flannery wakes up, "Yes, grandpa!"
Flashback ends
Flannery says in thought, "I remember now. I have to stay calm if I want to win. That's the key."
Mew then calls out, "Milotic, finish it with Aqua Ring!"
Miltoic closes in
Flannery then calls out, "Mag, Reflect."
Mag's eyes glow blue and an invisible barrier reflects Milotic.
"That's Reflect!" Mew says, shocked.
"That's a surprise," May says.
"Reflect can cut the damage of any move in half," Max says.
"Mew will need to think of another plan," Molly says.
"You're right. Mew can't win with just power alone," Brock adds.
"See? This battle has barely begun," Flannery says and calls out, "Sandstorm, Mag!"
In moments, Mag ducks into its shell and starts spinning around to create the sandstorm, greatly damaging Milotic
"Oh no! Hang on!" Mew calls out.
Milotic is blown back, but comes to a stop, though clearly worn out.
"Way to go, Miltoic! Hydro Pump!" Mew calls out.
Milotic fires the attack.
Flannery calls out, "Keep up that Sandstorm, Mag!"
Mag does so before it overpowers the Hydro Pump.
"A good Sandstorm can block even a Hydro Pump," Flannery says.
"Using that Sandstorm as a shield, huh?" Mew says.
Then calls out, "Alright then, Milotic, use Aqua Tail against the Sandstorm!"
Milotic leaps up, but as Mag turns onto his side to make the Sandstorm blow upward, Milotic comes down with the Aqua Tail, powering through the Sandstorm.
"Okay, you can dodge that, Mag!" Flannery says.
However, Mag can't dodge in time and takes the full brunt of the hit.
Flannery cries out, "No, Mag!"
Mag comes out of its shell, knocked out and defeated.
Mr. Moore announces, "Magcargo is unable to battle! Milotic wins!"
"Alright! You did great with that Aqua Tail, Milotic!" Mew says.
Milotic smiles as Mag is recalled.
"Wow, I sure didn't see that coming. Mag, you deserve a good rest after that," Flannery says.
Meanwhile, underground, Team Rocket are still digging.
"Got to admit, I'm digging this plan!" James says.
"Can't pick no holes in it!" Meowth says.
"Call a spade a spade?" Jessie asks.
"Let's bury the hatchet!" James says.
Team Rocket cheers, "Our boss will have all the power he'll need when Pikachu and Eevee are in our hands!"
They soon strike water, but the leaks soon spray in their faces before it turns into a geyser/torrent that shoots them right out of the hole they dug.
"Which one of you failed to mention we might strike a water pipe?!" Jessie cries out.
"Well, we sure didn't strike oil!" Meowth says.
"You're right, that'd be a pipedream!" James cries out.
Team Rocket screams as they blast off.
Back on the battlefield….
Flannery then calls out, "Alright! Your turn, Meg!"
Meg comes out.
Mew then calls back Milotic, "Milotic, return!"
Milotic is recalled.
"Why'd she switch Milotic out already?!" May asks.
"My guess, it's part of the strategy she's planned out," Brock says.
"Yeah. She probably wants to save Milotic for later, and let him rest for a little while," Max says.
"I think you're right," Zinnia says.
Mew then calls out, "Alright then, I choose…"
But suddenly, Lugia decides to come out.
"Huh?" Mew reacts.
Brock says in shock, "Oh no!"
"Not again!" Jen adds.
"It's a Lugia!" Max says, shocked.
"She has a legendary Pokemon!" Zinnia says, shocked.
"Uh oh," Molly replies.
Tomo begins laughing, "There he goes again."
"Wow. A Lugia. That was a surprise," Flannerys says, surprised.
"Yes. I didn't expect a trainer to have a legendary Pokemon," Mr. Moore says, just as surprised.
"Sorry about that, I don't see why he would…" But the realization hits her, "Wait, you wanna battle, Lugia?"
Lugia turns to Mew and nods in response.
Mew giggles, "Alright Lugia, you can battle, but be careful. This is your first battle after all."
Lugia lets out a cry and nods.
"Really? This is the first time Lugia is battling?" Flannery asks.
"Well, on an official battlefield anyway, but Lugia did train with my other Pokemon before," Mew says.
"Okay then. We'll be sure to give it a great debut battle," Flannery says.
She then calls out, "Let's go, Meg, Flamethrower!"
Meg fires the attack.
Mew calls out, "Lugia, dodge!"
Lugia does so.
"Now, Take Down!" Mew calls out.
Lugia darts forward, only to hit the Reflect barrier that Mag created before, shocking everyone.
"Where did Reflect come from?!" May asks.
"A Reflect defense will keep on working even after your substitute Pokemon," Max says.
"Let's keep going!" Flannery calls out, "Meg, use Flamethrower again!"
Meg fires the attack.
"Lugia, dodge it!" Mew calls out.
Lugia jumps and dodges, but tries to attack and the Reflect barrier does its job once again.
"Somehow, I have to find a way to get rid of that Reflect!" Mew says.
"I can't believe how fast her little Lugia is with running and gliding!" Flannery says.
Then calls out, "Go, Meg, Smog!"
The Smog spreads around. hiding Meg.
"Flannery's beginning to gain confidence," Mr. Moore says in thought.
Mew calls out, "Lugia, use Gust!" Mew calls out.
Lugia then ends up using the guest and it's enough for it to get blown away, and reveal some of Meg.
Soon, Flannery calls out, "Now, use Body Slam, Meg!"
Meg leaps out of the Smog cloud.
"Lugia, watch out!" Mew calls out.
Meg lands right on top of Lugia, pinning him.
"That's got to hurt!" Tomo says.
"I guess that puts an end to your Lugia's flying," Flannery says.
"Don't be so sure! Go, Water Pulse!" Mew calls out.
Lugia then fires towards Meg and fires the attack in her face, shocking Flannery.
"That's it!" Mew says.
Luga soon moves away from Meg.
Flannery then calls out, "Use Flamethrower, Meg!"
Meg fires the attack.
"Quick, Lugia, dodge it!" Mew calls out.
Lugia barely does so, resulting in its leg getting a small burn. Mew is quick to notice it.
"Lugia!" Mew calls out.
"Lugia is able to dodge the direct attack, but still got a little burned from the powerful flames," Brock says.
"Poor Lugia," Molly says, worried.
Flannery calls out, "Good job, Meg!"
"Slugma," (Thank you.) Meg says.
Mr. Moor says in thought, "She's beginning to understand."
Lugia is able to land where Mew is, and Mew sees the injury he received from the attack. Lugia shows signs of a little pain.
"Alright Lugia, let's give you some rest," Mew says and calls Lugia back.
"You're tougher than I thought," Mew says.
She then calls out, "Okay. Come on, Milotic!"
Milotic comes once again.
Flannery calls out, "Meg, use Smog again!"
The Smog spreads
Mew then calls out, "Milotic, blow the Smog away with Aqua Tail!"
Milotic does so by spinning around rapidly
"And now, Dragon Tail!" Mew calls out.
Milotic closes in
But Flannery calls out, "Meg, use Yawn."
"Uh oh!" Mew says, shocked.
Meg sends out a pink bubble that hits Milotic right in the face, causing it to fall asleep.
"What was that?!" Molly asks.
"Is Milotic knocked out?" May asks.
"No. That's Yawn attack," Tomo says, "Yawn is a move that can put anyone hit by it to sleep. Like Sleep Attack.
Flannery says, "That's a little surprise attack I use against water Pokémon."
Mr. Moore says in thought, "What do you know? Flannery may have gotten the best of Ashley after all."
Mew calls out, "Milotic, wake up! Come on!"
But Milotic remains sleeping.
Flannery then calls out, "Alright, finish it off with Flamethrower!"
Meg fires the attack easily.
Mew calls out, "Milotic!"
Milotic lands, still asleep.
"Come on, Milotic. Wake up!" Mew calls out.
She then sighs, "It's no good. Milotic is knocked out."
She then calls it back, "Return Milotic!"
And Milotic is recalled.
"Hmm, lets see…" Mew says.
Soon she hears Pikachu, "Pika Pika," (Mew!)
Mew looks down towards Pikachu, "How about helping out, pal?"
"Pikachu nods.
"Okay, Pikachu, let's go," Mew says.
And Pikachu gets on the battlefield.
"So now it's Pikachu!" Flannery says, and calls out, "Meg, Flamethrower!"
Meg fires the attack.
Mew calls out, "Pikachu, sue Quick Attack!"
Pikachu performs the attack and dodges the fire. Then Pikachu hits the Reflect barrier hard enough to break it.
"Yeah! No more of that Reflect barrier messing things up," Mew says.
Then Flannery calls out, "Meg, use your Smog!"
Meg does so, hiding herself again.
Mew calls out, "Pikachu, try and sense where that Slugma is."
Pikachu agrees, closes his eyes and concentrates.
Pikachu soon senses the presence of Meg from within the Smog
"Pika!" (Found her!) Pikachu says.
Pikachu charges up and prepares to land the attack.
Flannery calls out, "Meg, dodge it!"
Meg does so by ducking into the Smog, causing Pikachu to miss.
"That's how it's done! Flamethrower!" Flannery calls out.
Meg fires the attack and hits Pikachu from behind, though he sensed it beforehand.
"Pikachu!" Mew cries out.
Pikachu soon lands.
Then Mew calls out, "Come on, Pikachu, try using a Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu does so, but the attack goes up
"You were right, a strong attack is worthless if it misses," Flannery says.
But Mew says, "Don't be too sure, Flannery."
However, the smog clears to reveal Meg was indeed hit and paralyzed.
Flannery is shocked, ""Wait, how did that happen?!
"Pikachu's Thunderbolt electrified the entire Smog cloud and zapped Slugma!" Brock says.
"And now Meg has been paralyzed!" Jen says.
"Yeah!" Max says.
"What a lucky break," May says.
"Way to go, Pikachu!" Mew says.
Then Flannery calls out, "Meg, hurry and use Yawn on Pikachu, hurry!"
"No way, Flannery!" Mew calls out, "Pikachu, Quick Attack, now!"
Pikachu darts in faster than before like a living bullet
"Uh oh!" Flannery cries out.
Pikachu's attack lands right on target.
"Finish it with Thunder!" Mew calls out.
Pikachu performs the attack and hits Meg really hard.
Flannery cries out, "Oh no!"
Slugma falls to the ground, knocked out.
Mr. Moore announces, "Slugma is unable to battle, Pikachu wins!"
"You were awesome!" Mew cheers
"Pikachu!" (I sure was!) Pikachu says.
"Meg, you were great. Now, return," Flannery says, and recalls Meg.
Seeing the results, Mr. Moore says in thought, "You thought you had Ashley with that Smog attack strategy, but you let down your guard, Flannery. To be a great Pokémon trainer, you must be ready for anything to happen. And you must never stop working toward victory until the battle is truly won. You'll get there, Flannery."
Meanwhile, Team Rocket is revealed to have landed in a hot spring with their jumpsuits on a washing line.
James sighs in relaxation, "What luck, landing in a natural hot spring."
"Making my already beautiful skin, just glow," Jessie says.
Then Meowth has an idea, "Dat's it! We got to make da boss a hot spring like dis one!"
A fantasy scenario begins
"Why would we want to do that?" James asks.
But Meowth explains, "Imagine if da boss is exhausted from sluggin through the winter's snow upset with his incompetent underlings."
"To which incompetent underlings are you referring?" Jessie asks.
"Yes, anyone in particular?" James asks.
But then Meowth continues, "But then, refreshed in body and mind by da hot spring, he'll say; 'I must give a generous reward to that Meowth and his teammates for making me this hot spring right here in my backyard.'"
Fantasy scenario ends.
Team Rocket happily cheers, "And then there are its raises, and promotions, and stuff! What a blast!"
"Wobbuuu Wobbu!" (Perfect idea!) Wobbuffet says.
Back at the battlefield
"Now, it's your turn, Torkoal!" Flannery says.
Torkoal comes out.
"I knew Torkoal was coming up next!" Mew says.
She then calls out, "Fine! Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu fires the attack/
But then Flannery says, "Go, Iron Defense, now!"
Torkoal ducks into its shell, negating the effect of the attack.
"Uh oh!" Mew says.
Then Flannery calls out, "Follow up with Flamethrower!"
Torkoal fires the attack.
New calls out, "Dodge it and use Iron Tail!"
Pikachu does so
Flannery calls out, " Iron Defense again!"
Torkoal ducks back into its shell, lessening the blow from Iron Tail.
"That didn't work either," Mew says.
Flannery then calls out, "Torkoal, Sludge Bomb!"
Torkoal fires the attack, Pikachu dodges two of them, but gets hit by the third bomb, forcing him to skid backwards.
"Hang in there, Pikachu! Thunder, now!" Mew calls out.
Pikachu launches the attack.
Then Flannery calls out, "Iron Defense, Torkoal, go!"
Torkoal ducks into its shell once more, lessening if not nullifying the attack.
"Nothing works on that!" Mew says.
"Elemental and physical attacks are useless as long as Torkoal keeps using Iron Defense!" Max says.
"Isn't there anything that works against it?" May asks.
Flannery then calls out, "Torkoal, use Overheat!"
"Overheat?" Mew says, shocked.
Torkoal fires the attack and nails Pikachu.
"Pikachu, no!" Mew cries out.
Pikachu lands, unconscious.
Mr. Moore announces, "Pikachu is unable to battle. Torkoal wins it!"
"That's the way! Yeah!" Flannery cheers.
Torkoal snorts smoke out of its nose.
"Can't believe it knocked Pikachu out with just one attack," Brock says.
"I know. Wow," May says.
"So, that's Overheat, huh?" Max wonders.
Ash walks over to the others.
"Good job, Pikachu. You deserve a rest after what happened," Mew says.
"Pikachu." (Thank you, pal.) Pikachu says.
Mew soon returns to his position on the battlefield.
Mew says in thought, "All I have left is an injured Lugia and a sleeping Milotic, but I won't give up! I just need to think of something!"
Meanwhile, Team Rocket was still in their hot spring as some Murkrow circled overhead, but they didn't mind the birds over them at all.
"Talk about blissful, I just nodded off for a bit," James says.
"Me, too," Jessie says. Then looks to her left and sees figures in the steam, "Looks like word's gotten out about this hot spot."
"Yeah? Well, dis is our own hot spring spot! Find your own!" Meowth says.
"It's true," James says.
And Jessie adds, "Yes, you really should've asked permission."
But as James and Jessie talk, the steam parts to reveal that three Ursaring were in the water with them.
Team Rocket cries out, "Ursaring!"
The three Ursaring send a powerful attack at Team Rocket and send them blasting off once more.
Team Rocket cries out, "Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!"
Back on the battlefield, Mew is trying to think of a plan.
"It's looking pretty bad now," Mays says.
"Lugia is hurt and Milotic is asleep," Molly says.
"What can she do?" Yomo asks.
"We're about to find out," Brock says.
Then Mew calls out, "Let's go, Milotic!"
Milotic comes out, but still sleeping.
"Come on, wake up! Milotic!" Mew calls out.
"You might as well admit you're beaten, Ashley," Flannery calls out.
But Mew says, "No way! I will never give up!"
"Then you leave me no choice but to finish this up," Flannery says, and calls out, "Torkoal, Overheat!"
Torkoal's attack lands and hits easily.
"Milotic, wake up!" Mew calls out.
Milotic slides to a stop, but clearly didn't look damaged, to Mew's relief.
"It didn't seem to damage it," Max says.
"That's probably because Overheat loses power the more you use it," Brock says.
"Well, that's one bit of good news," May says.
Flannery calls out, "Now, follow up with Flamethrower!"
Torkoal launches the attack and lands easily.
Mew then calls out, "Milotic! Come on, buddy, wake up! Please, Milotic, I need you!"
Soon, Milotic had woken up and began flailing in the air, feeling the damage from Torkoal's Flamethrower.
"Alright, now we're back in action!" Mew says.
"What's going on?!" Flannery says, shocked.
Milotic lands on its tail and after looking around, puts its game face on.
"Now's your chance, Milotic! Let's hit em hard! Aqua Tail!" Mew calls out.
Milotic darts in
Flannery calls out, "Torkoal, Iron Defense!"
Torkoal ducks into its shell to lessen the impact.
"Great! Now hit it with Sludge Bom!" Flannery calls out.
The attack fires and hits
"That's too much damage for it to take, Ashley! You've got to make it pull back!" Brock calls out.
But Mew says, "Stay strong, Milotic, just a little more!"
Miltoic stays put and takes the beating.
"Now, strike back with Dragon Tail!" Mew calls out.
Milotic darts forward
"Iron Defense!" Flannery calls out.
Torkoal ducks into its shell again.
"That won't work!" May cries out.
"We already know that attacks can't get through Iron Defense!" Max says.
"It's no use! Attacks can't reach it while it's hiding in its shell! But how can I get it out?"" Mew says.
But then an idea comes to her, "Could I get it out? That's it!" Then calls out, "Milotic hit it with Aqua Tail once more!"
Milotic darts in.
Flannery then says, "You can attack us all you want, Ashley. Iron Defense, Torkoal!"
Torkoal ducks into its shell once again.
"Alright, now, this time, strike its shell from the side!" Mew calls out.
Milotic does so, sending Torkoal into a spin while in its shell before it starts spinning on its side, to the confusion of Flannery and Mr. Moore.
"What did they do?" Mr. Moore asks.
Soon, Torkoal comes out of its shell, dizzy.
"It's out!" Max happily calls out.
"Torkoal must have gotten dizzy," May says.
"And now it can't use Iron Defense anymore," Zinnia says.
Then Mew calls out, "Here we go, Milotic! Now,Hydro Pump!"
Milotic fires the attack and lands hard.
"No! Torkoal!" Flannery cries out.
Torkoal lands on its back, creating a cloud of dust. When it settles, Torkoal is revealed to be knocked out.
Mr. Moore announces, "Torkoal is unable to battle, Milotic wins! Therefore, the victor is Ashley from Pallet Town!"
"Now that was an incredible comeback," Brock says.
Mew walks towards Milotic pets and says, "You were so awesome, Milotic."
Mew then calls back Lugia, who is still a bit injured from the battle
"You okay, Lugia?" Mew asks.
Lugia nods in response.
"You did your best for your first gym battle, but you have to remember the Pokemon in the battle is strong and skilled so it's best to keep it in mind," Mew says.
"Torkoal, return," Flannery says and calls back Torkoal, "We lost the battle, Torkoal, but I know you did you best out there, so you've earned a rest."
Mr. Moore walks over and says, "Flannery, you had your opponent on the ropes but then you got much too hasty and used Overheat early. You still haven't learned to keep calm."
"Bu... Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry," Flannery apologizes.
Mr. Moore then says, "On the other hand, you just gave a battle like I've never seen, and I'm quite positive you'll make an excellent gym leader."
Flannery smiles, "Wow. You think so?"
"Just remember the passion that brought you to this place to begin with and you'll be great," Mr. Moore says.
"I will. I'll remember your teachings, grandpa, and someday I'll be a gym leader that'll make you proud," Flannery says.

Lugia lets out a cry with a smile.

Mew says, and takes the badge, "Thanks a lot, Flannery."
And so, proving himself against a powerful opponent like Torkoal, Mew now has her Heat badge. But many more challenges lay ahead for Mew and her friends on the long road to the Hoenn League.
