Chapter 5: A Trip to the Canal

It had been three days since Kevin and Damien arrived here at the villa in El Anillo del Fuego as we were busy listening to the pitfalls of what has happened since the fall of the Maladendrum nearly a month ago. With April starting and everyone bracing for the Easter recess, it was mainly time for the children to get ready for the holiday in which everyone loved looking for eggs and getting the usual chocolate bunnies in their baskets. Even though I was busy helping everyone with the younger children, there were times that the others wanted to do their part, but I didn't want to overburden them with too much of the childcare that kept everyone on their toes. In Carly's case, she was eager to help, but she had to steer clear in which she was on the cusp of boredom. With the temperature going up to the mid eighties, it was high time for the young Cat Sidhe to go somewhere near the village as she decided to go for a walk, for it would soon be refreshing instead of being bored all the time.

She was ready to plan a trip to where the canal was as it was a place for those who wanted to go swimming in which it was left unused over the years. Still, she was adamant into packing a few essentials as she later got dressed in her swimsuit while putting her dress back on. With some sunblock and a towel in her basket, she was ready to go until she noticed Kanna and the other older girls dressed up with their own swimming attire as they were also wanting to follow her, for they were aware of the canal and how it became more than just a swimming hole.

"We're ready when you are," said Jill as she was carrying a bag in her hands.

"It'll be fun to go to the canal," said Carly.

"Does Sam know about this?"

"Mr. Sam didn't want me to do too much because he wanted all of us to go out and play instead of being stuck with the babies. That's mainly a grown-up's job."

"It'll be fine," said Sona. "Besides, Sam and Reiko have some of the grown-ups to help with the younger babies."

"It's gonna be fun, but we should also grab some sunblock," said Kanna. "Reiko did tell us not to get sunburnt while going swimming."

"I have some of Mommy's cookies to tide us over," said Zia as she was carrying a picnic basket.

And so, the girls left the villa as they were on their way towards the canal. As walked further into the village, they saw everyone selling their wares and going about their daily lives as they later left for the outskirts, which were closer to it. By the time they reached the canal, they noticed it to be filled with water complete with a waterfall. It was a good swimming spot as the weather was getting hotter by the second. The girls were glad to come over to the canal as they applied some sunblock and stripped to their swimsuits just to take a dip in the water. What they didn't expect was that I was in the distance watching as I couldn't keep my eyes off of them due to the fact that I had to protect them, for they never expected me to be around while observing them…

Drusus was in the kitchen as he was busy cleaning it up in which he has his rounds of daily chores around the villa. He was literally swamped by such chores as he didn't mind them due to his access to the kitchen. By the time he finished up, he was ready to call it a day until he noticed Gyatso coming in with some vegetables that he bought earlier. He was eager to make something afterwards as he placed the vegetables into a container for later. Still, he was more than likely to be making something out of it as he was thinking about crafting some local cuisine, for he was mainly wanting to do so. Still, life here in El Anillo del Fuego was a somewhat tropical one as it consisted of mainly a village near the ocean complete with a local seafood market. It was also a reprieve for all of us as we stayed away from the chill of the northern wind for once, for it was also liberating for us to stay here until Skald Island was cleaned up.

"I heard of the locals talking about making ceviche," said Gyatso.

"It's a Peruvian dish, but the true form of it consists of making it with raw fish and seafood instead of the cooked shrimp that goes with it," said Drusus.

"It feels quiet since the girls went to the canal, but I have to deal with Aora and Ghimru in which they're busy exploring this villa."

"Hey! That's an understatement!" yelled Ghimru as he rushed into the kitchen.

"You can't shut us out, you know," said Aora as he also rushed into the kitchen.

"Hey! Wait for me!" yelled Zoran as he rushed with a basket of vegetables in his hands.

The boys were eager to help to make something afterwards as they were staring at the cookbook that Lyra gave us. The recipes in it were simple and complicated as the boys were also a comfort to Drusus in which he didn't mind them being in the kitchen. What they didn't expect was that Dirithi's sons, Tzippidar and Azavar, were in the kitchen as they wanted to be included after what they went through, for they were far away from their village.

"You guys know how to be together as a family," said Tzippidar as he marveled at the dynamic that was in the kitchen. "If Dad and our baby sister were here, they would've loved to have some lunch, but Mom still grieves for them."

"I'm so sorry for your loss," said Gyatso.

"Our Mom spends time helping Sam and Reiko take care of the newborns," said Azavar as he was still reeling over the loss of his family members. "I feel sorry for Mom, but having to wetnurse some of the newborns gave her a sense of being needed. I know that our dad and baby sister are watching from the Grey Havens after we had to deal with that horrible plant that nearly destroyed our village."

"And that plant nearly made a meal out of me," said Drusus.

"We're also thankful that the Dickersons went in and destroyed the source of the plant. They're an Orc clan, but they're known to deal with monsters that get out of control or have a bounty on their heads. We owe them our lives after what that plant did to Dad and our baby sister."

Gyatso noticed Azavar clenching his fist as he was shedding tears in which he still mourned his father and stillborn sister. The young Draaza boy was sensitive like his mother as he sported her purple comb and blue eyes while wearing Sindar attire. His older brother, Tzippidar, sported his father's teal comb and amber eyes while wearing an apron over his clothes. Both boys went through hell and back as they were trying to remain strong, for they had their work cut out for them when it came to offering support. Still, life kept going as it was also a way and mean to cope with loss and renewal, for we all had to pull our weight so far…

Carly was busy taking a dip in the canal as she was swimming away while wearing her swimsuit. The other girls were also swimming as they had fun while playing near the waterfall. The water was shallow, but inviting below as the girls were happy playing in which they were eager to have fun until it was time to get back just in time for dinner. With Kanna and Sona searching for stray rocks that fell into the canal, they were ready to break out the floaties and water noodles as they decided to go up the stairs where their stuff was. What they didn't expect was that a suspicious man stopped near the bridge as he was standing next to a pull-cart doing something. The man was shirtless and human as he was staring at both Kanna and Sona the moment he looked at them with a smirk on his face. Both girls had to warn Carly and the others until I rushed to their aid by shielding them from the suspicious man with my long silver hair.

I stared at the suspicious man as he thought that I was a woman due to the long hair I had the moment he stepped out in front of the pull-cart all naked. Even though I stared at the man, he was busy pleasuring himself as I saw him stroking at his member to the point of having a pebble thrown at him while he spilled his load prematurely. With his self-gratification over and the girls shielded from his amusement, I noticed a man dressed in Amarnan clothing complete with a shaved head except for a tuft of black hair on the left side with eye makeup on his face. He was looking at the suspicious man in disgust as he saw him leave with the pull-cart while fleeing from the canal. With the worst over, I was relieved as both Kanna and Sona emerged from behind me in which they had to get the other girls, for they never knew about our naked bystander who had a knack for streaking in front of passers-by.

"And don't you even set foot without your damn clothes again, you got that, numb nuts?!" yelled the Amarnan man as he was disgusted by the suspicious man's actions. "If I ever catch you jacking off to any other girl or woman, I'll decimate that pillar and ping-pong balls of yours and don't you forget it!"

I was happy that no other further incidents occurred again as Kanna and Sona resumed their fun in the canal. As for the Amarnan man who stood up to our nude exhibitionist, he didn't want any more trouble as he never tolerated anyone who had a knack for going nude and bring out a self-gratification act in front of bystanders, especially women and girls. Still, the man meant business as he wasn't about to let any perverts ruin the fun of others who wanted to have fun in the canal, for it was a way and mean for him to keep them at bay.

"It seems that you drove off our exhibitionist," I said.

"His name is Dothard and he's what is known as a Registered Sex Offender," said the Amarnan man.

"I never knew of that until now. At least I shielded my wards from his petty sex act on himself."

"For the record, my name's Nephitep Shazidek and I've been living here for a while. I work as a ranger around here, but I won't tolerate people who enjoy streaking and jacking off in front of kids."

"You must've been dealing with our exhibitionist for a while, haven't you?"

"I'm not the only one, for a certain Cetra wanted to kick his ass when he caught him trying to jack off in front of a woman and her children once. And another thing, the Cetra who wanted to bust Dothard's balls is a cop in which his mother nearly lost her life at the hands of Father Warren on Baratheon two years ago."

It wasn't long until I saw someone on a motorcycle speed towards us as it stopped the moment its rider got off and remove his helmet. It was Guido as he was aware of what was going on in which he didn't want our exhibitionist to show up again. I noticed him looking around as he went towards the bridge where the nudist was earlier in which he examined the tracks of the pull-cart that were there. He didn't want any sex pests to harass anyone as he was also on duty, for he had a loathing for the pervert who nearly crashed the girls' fun earlier.

"I know that he was here earlier," he said.

"You really know how to make an entrance, Guido," I said.

"Dothard Ravasson is part of the RSO program as he has a rap sheet stemming from child molestation to collecting kiddie porn. He may have served his time in jail, but he was put into the RSO program in which he was forbidden to be around children, including little girls."

"At least he's gone when I sent him packing," said Nephitep.

"For the record, if he ever shows up at this canal again, I'll find him and I'll go out of my way to castrate that fucker!"

"Watch your language," I said cautiously as I was looking at the girls that were busy playing in the canal. "There are children present, so I suggest that you tone down the words that you say."

It wasn't long until I noticed the same man with the pull-cart coming near the bridge again in which he was more than likely to be in the buff again. With Guido watching him like a hawk, he wasn't about to hesitate as he got out his gun the moment he was about to pull the trigger. Staring at me with his confusion that he thought that I was a woman, I saw him jacking off again as he was in for a real shock the moment I decided to walk towards him and confront him about his disgusting behavior.

"Don't you have anything better to do?" I said to him as he accidentally blew his load prematurely.

"You're a man?!" he cried as he grabbed a towel and cleaned up his member.

"Of course he's a man, jackass!" yelled Guido as he aimed his gun at him. "You thought that whoever had long silver hair was intended to be a woman, but seeing a man with it is a real shock to the system." The man quickly puts on his kimono as he was ready to leave. "Oh, hell no; you're getting your ass handed to you" Guido gets out some handcuffs as he places them on the pervert's hands. "For the record, you just got served…, bitch!"

It wasn't long until we saw some of the locals coming towards the man as he was being hauled away in a paddy wagon that was driven by two six-legged horses. With the worst over, I breathed a sigh of relief as I was also doing my part into protecting the girls from further harm and humiliation. Still, Guido was more than glad that he saw the pervert being taken away as he even gave the middle finger to him before being taken away. It was a huge relief, but I also had to stand my ground in protecting the girls who were too busy playing in the canal, for they never noticed what happened up towards the bridge earlier, for it was my job as both a guardian and parent to look after them in the first place.

"Good riddance to bad rubbish," said Guido.

"Thankfully, the worst is over," I said.

"Wait! You can't just haul him off like that!" yelled Nephitep as he saw a group from the Order coming towards me. "He's just there protecting the girls that are playing in the canal!"

I saw the group standing in front of me as I later noticed Kevin approaching. He was aware of the local pervert coming and going here, but he was more than likely to be bringing me back home in which I also had to stand my ground, for this was too much for me.

"Everything is under control right now after the nudie show," I said.

"You and Guido have been called in for questioning by the cops here," said Kevin.

"Is it about that pervert?" he asked.

"Dothard Ravasson has a rap sheet stemming from plenty of cases involving molestation and possession of child pornography. He has a penchant for jacking off to young women and girls, but he was in for a surprise when he saw you."

"That was when he thought that I was a woman," I said. "At least he's not about to terrorize any more bystanders near the canal anymore."

"It doesn't matter, Sam. You and Guido are witnesses who saw a man jacking off on the bridge without the girls below noticing."

It wasn't long until I saw the girls getting out of the canal as they were wet and tired from their fun earlier. Even though it was lunch time, I had to cut it short as I also had to usher them home in which I couldn't subject them to being exposed to a damning inquiry that was about to start. Still, I had to make sure that they went home as I saw them staring at Kevin and his group, for they were there to collect not only me, but Guido as well.

"What's going on here?" asked Jill.

"There's been some trouble topside," I said.

"Was it that man behind the pull-cart again?" asked Sona.

"Looks like we have another witness," said Kevin.

"We didn't see much because of Sam's thick hair blocking us from what happened next," said Kanna. "After that, he was gone before Sona and I went back in the water."

I was determined to have the girls sent home as I didn't want them to be subjected to an inquiry that they didn't want. Still, I couldn't let them endure the humiliation as I had to pack some of their things in their baskets in which they needed to get back to the villa. Even though they would've stayed longer, I had to stand my ground as I didn't want the girls to be further humiliated by what went down earlier, for this was too much for them indeed.

"We can have fun at another time," I assured them.

"But it's not time for dinner yet!" wailed Zia as she was disappointed in leaving early.

"I know, but it's best that you head for home for the day. We'll come here tomorrow without the hassle, okay? Besides, being here is a far cry for our time on Skald Island in which it's often cold due to the northern wind coming and going. Still, just because our fun is ruined, doesn't mean that we can't try again. There is plenty of trial and error everywhere we go, for we all have the strength and courage to brave the waters we sail in."

And so, I saw the girls leave as they were on their way home. With Kanna and Sona being the last ones, they were ready to follow the others until they were stopped by a Sindar Elf who was there on the scene. He meant business as he didn't want anyone other witness to leave as he was also getting fed up with Dothard's constant harassment towards the female bystanders who came and went swimming in the canal. Still, we had to deal with the protocol that loomed as I had to easily explain the details about the pervert's behavior earlier, for this was getting more complicated by the minute.

"You really stepped into the crosshairs when the local pervert mistook you for a woman, didn't you…, Sam Winchester," said the Sindar Elf as he stood firm.

"Brandon Bellflower," said Guido. "I bet that you decided to show up just to arrest the pervert, but bringing a six-foot-four tall demigod to an inquiry?"

"We've been getting reports from the rangers about Dothard Ravasson's penchant for constantly masturbating in front of young women and girls in which the main witness saw him doing it while shielding two Draaza females from his perverseness."

"Leave Kanna and Sona out of this," I said defensively. "They're innocents who don't need to hear more of that pervert's dirty laundry."

"They know too much, Sam, for there's no way of backing out right now."

"They're kids, jackass!" yelled Guido. "You can't just subject them to your further inquiries just to prove a fucking point!"

"Watch your language, Guido. There are children present." I look at Kanna and Sona as I was wanting them to get home. "You should follow the other girls, okay? I'll handle this…"

I watched the two Draaza girls leave as I was left in a much bigger pickle the moment I had to deal with the further mess that followed. I was alone with not only Kevin and Guido, but with Brandon Bellflower himself as he was described as a cop who didn't want any suspicious activity all over the place. The Sindar Elf himself was more Native American in his appearance with his black hair, brown eyes, and reddish brown skin while dressed with a tuft of feathers in his hair complete with Sindar clothing with his motif. The man was similar to how other Native Americans were, but from what I knew, he was an Elf in which his clan intermarried with some humans who came here to Valinor ages ago, for he was even hawkish due to his status as a cop here.

"This is getting complicated," I said.

"You shouldn't have done that, Sam," said Brandon as he was not too happy with me. "If those girls didn't leave, we would've had a solid witness claim to put Dothard back behind bars."

"You could've looked in the pull-cart," said Kevin.

Without further hesitation, I walked towards the man's pull-cart as I dug into what he had stashed in it. To my shock, I saw the horrible images of young girls that were similar to the ages of the ones playing in the canal in which they were dressed in lingerie and/or posing naked. My heart sank as I saw the depravity in the pull-cart beyond display in which I was more than likely to shield the girls even more from such horrible imagery. Such depraved images like that unnerved me as I couldn't contain my anger anymore in which I didn't want the girls in my care to be subjected to looking at such disgusting images like that. I was beyond disgusted as I wanted to destroy it, but was blocked by an eagle who flew on top of the pull-cart, for it was not about to let me do so.

"Attaboy, Brutus," said Brandon as he saw the eagle squawk. "There's enough evidence to put Dothard away for life this time."

"You could've burned them," I said.

"And have a felony on your hands? Not a chance. I know that you're protecting those girls, but you can't just jump the gun and burn evidence or else our resident pervert would continue to walk freely."

"Those images in there are terrible! What if it were the girls in my care just to be lured and forced to pose in such perverse ways that go against their consent?! What if it were any other girl their age that had to be forced into such depravity?! I would hold them tightly instead of subjecting them to our pervert on the bridge in which people like him should die screaming for what he's been doing!"

"I would've snipped off his pecker and flung it out of a car window if I got a chance," said Guido.

"We'll take the evidence," said Brandon as he saw Brutus fly onto his arm. "As for the pervert, he's going away for a long time because he'll be going into the Kettle for his crimes."

I was further relieved as I saw the group from the Order assisting Brandon in which they hauled the pull-cart away from the bridge. When I noticed Nephitep staring on the sidelines, he was more than glad that the pervert and his dastardly activities were put to bed in which the worst was over for now. Even though we were ready to go to the canal for another day, that experience of seeing the evidence in the pull-cart unnerved me to no end in which I had to do a little better in watching over the girls, for they were innocent in all of this…

The girls made it home as they were all in the sitting room eating their lunch that they packed earlier before leaving the canal. Even though they were safe from the danger, that didn't stop them from going back for another day as there wouldn't be any more trouble on the bridge. Still, Kanna and Sona bore the full brunt of seeing the man in the pull-cart, but luckily, they didn't see what he did on the bridge as they were shielded by my silver hair the moment they were grateful that I was there protecting them from such depravity. When they saw me returning to the villa, they burst from the sitting room as they were hugging me warmly, for they were glad that I was their protector from all the chaos that was witnessed earlier.

"I'm glad that we're home," said Kanna.

"I know," I said.

"What about that man with the pull-cart?" asked Sona. "Did he do anything bad?"

"He did, but his pull-cart contained some pictures of children that are deemed inappropriate against their wishes or consent. He's not going to come to the bridge again after this."

"I know that we didn't see much because of your hair blocking the view. Did something else happen?"

"The man you saw was doing something that no child should ever see in the future. He was merely doing grown-up stuff for all the wrong reasons in which you shouldn't be witnessing such stuff like that. That was why I shielded you two from the depravity on display. He even thought that I was a woman at first."

Both Kanna and Sona started laughing as they couldn't contain themselves at this moment. Still, I didn't want them to see any more depravity in front of them as I had my reasons to protect them from harm. Luckily, Carly, Jill, and Zia were left unscathed by what was seen as they were too busy playing near the waterfall to notice, but after today, I couldn't let them out of my sight. I thought of the evidence in the pull-cart as the images of those young girls in sexual positions unnerved me to no end in which I also had to put my foot down the next time the girls went somewhere. All I wanted was to destroy the evidence, but I also didn't want to attract the ire of Brandon Bellflower in which he simply bore a grudge against the provocateur who had a knack for looking at women and girls while jacking off naked in front of them on the bridge.

"Still, the worst is over for now," I said.

"At least the others didn't see that weirdo," said Kanna.

"We were too busy looking into the waterfall," said Carly as she ran out of the sitting room. "We also found a door beneath it in which it won't open."

"A door that won't open…," I said. "I'd like to see it, Fusspot."

"We'll go tomorrow," said Sona. "Besides, we have Sam with us, right?"

I was swamped by the girls as I couldn't say no to them. Still, they were determined to go to the canal again as they wanted to show me what was found beneath the waterfall. At the end of this debacle, I had to do my part into protecting them as I had a renewed resolve to keep them from the depravity that was witnessed earlier. I couldn't let their innocence be robbed by what was seen and noticed in the pull-cart as they were just children being engaged in playtime instead of being stuck at home all the time, for this was a reminder of the cautions that I had to protect them against…

The next day, the girls were ready to go to the canal again as they were dressed in their swimsuits and bringing their baskets with them. After yesterday's mess, I had to go with them as I also had to make sure that they were safe. Even I was dressed in my swim trunks underneath my clothes despite the fact that I had my raw power to heal me from the stress from the daily childcare and other messes as I accompanied them to the water in the canal. When I saw the waterfall, I later noticed Carly showing me the door she found as I saw it to be unopened and unused, only for a computer to turn on without warning.

"Enter retinal scan," it said as it scanned my eye. "Retinal scan approved." The door opens up as it was about to reveal more inside. "Greetings, Sam Winchester; you now have access to this lab."

We all entered inside as we saw something that was similar to what was found under the Jade Bamboo. It was a lab, but was old and abandoned in which I saw some boxes of anime and manga that were unused for a while. What we also noticed was that there was a codex box near the plethora of anime and manga as I opened it up to see what was in it. There was a journal in the Va'Kihri language as I read it the moment I noticed a few trading cards fall out of it. When Kanna picked them up, she saw them to be characters from Naruto as it featured the titular character and his friends that were left in good condition, for whoever collected them loved what was there.

"This is new," she said.

"The Va'Kihri are like the Draaza, but on the same level by crafting codexes," I said.

Without warning, I heard Zia screaming as she saw a corpse on the floor. When I saw her scared to death, she clung to me as she burrowed into my hair the moment I saw the corpse near the wall with a plush figure of the titular hero of his story dressed in his usual orange and blue tracksuit in its hands. From the look of it, I examined the corpse carefully as it was none other than a Va'Kihri that died here while protecting this lab. The other girls saw it as they had a gut feeling that the corpse needed to be salted and burned immediately, for it would end up being a vengeful spirit if it wasn't done right away.

"This must've been the lab's protector till the end," said Kanna.

"He really loved all that anime and manga here," said Carly.

"He or she did, for it was shielded until it was opened up again," I said.

"This place is more like a Va'Kihri ship," said Jill as she saw a hologram appear. "This must've been the corpse in life…"

We all saw the hologram as we noticed the Va'Kihri who was holding the plush Naruto figure in his hand. He was mainly there defending the lab as he had his reasons to do so. Still, he did his duty till the end, but we also had to salt and burn his corpse as it was our own to do so, for he would soon go the Grey Havens after this.

"Hey, is this thing on?" he said. "Well, I haven't done much in my life other than protecting this lab that my family left behind. I know that the door is closed and I only have a few food rations left, that won't stop me from defending this place from whoever wants to steal the Naruto collection I have. It's the most I can do. As for whoever would come and open it, I hope that he or she will make sure that everything doesn't get abused. It's my stuff that is mainly part of the anime big three, which consist of not only Naruto, but there's also Bleach and One Piece to consider. Well, I'm signing off, for this is goodbye… Take care and keep going, alright?"

We saw the Va'Kihri man shed a tear as the hologram turned off in which we had to do something about his corpse. Taking off my overrobe, I collected the corpse as I took the lead and had the girls follow me. When we left for the steps near the canal, we went towards a clearing as we had to do our best to give the fallen Va'Kihri its last rites before crossing over. With the corpse place on a stone slab meant for funeral pyres, we covered it in a shroud as we found some salt and gasoline the moment we poured them onto it. With the plush Naruto put with the corpse, we prayed for it the moment we lit the shroud on fire as we were giving it the last rites it deserved, for it deserved to go in peace.

"May the gods and Matriarch protect you," said Kanna.

"Andezhka nir zhrigielur dahur, togrizhev amue zdol," I said in the Draaza language.

"Poor Va'Kihri," said Carly. "I hope he's okay up there with his toy…"

It wasn't long until we noticed a congregation approaching the moment we saw Sadritha rushing into the clearing. She saw the corpse that was being salted and burned as she had a gut feeling that I opened up a lab under the canal waterfall. Still, I had to have to give the corpse its final rites as I saw the spirit of the Va'Kihri going up to the Grey Havens with his plush Naruto toy in his hands, for he was ready to go to the afterlife after all.

"Lyra wasn't wrong about what you found," she said to me.

"There was a dead person in that place in the waterfall," said Sona.

"It's true," I said. "The place in the waterfall was a lab that came from a Va'Kihri ship in which there was also a codex box with it." I fished it out as I showed it to Sadritha. "This is what our otaku corpse had in that lab."

Sadritha examined the box as she saw the journal that was in it. She also saw the Naruto trading cards that were in there as she later found a picture of the Banes Twins at Comic-Con as she never expected the children of Asa Fox to be out and about. She was no stranger into seeing the founders of the Vesper Guild in front of a Naruto cut-out as they were put towards a higher calling after that, for they were the legacies that came forward many centuries later.

"I know those people," she said.

"I know of them very well from the Elder Days," I said. "From the archives, Max and Alicia Banes were the children of a hunter and a witch. Even though Alicia was resurrected in the form of a wicker doll while Max took the ring of a witch and spellbook, they were called to a higher power the moment Pendragon brought them to do a service by crafting a guild that remained stagnant during the time of the Orc Wars. "It's sad that it had to be that way, but she did the right thing by exposing how much of a monster her mother was. As for what happened yesterday and today, it's one complicated situation after another."

Sadritha was concerned about me as she saw my hands shaking. After what happened yesterday, I had to tell her all about it as I also had a resolve to protect the girls in my care. Still, I was ready to air the dirty laundry that happened yesterday as I was also feeling the pinch of pain creeping up in my abdomen, for I was dealing with so much on my plate already.

"Are you okay?" asked Sadritha.

"Yesterday, the girls were playing in the canal and a man came with a pull-cart near the bridge completely naked," I said. "The other girls were too busy to notice when Kanna and Sona went up the stairs to get their water toys and go back in the water, only to see the man behind his pull-cart. I came at the last minute to shield them from the sex act he did the moment the Amarnan ranger threw a rock at him to back off. I thought it was the end of it until Guido came here to put the fear of the gods in him and that was when the girls went back to playing in the canal."

"And what happened next?"

"Kevin and his group showed up to arrest the pervert, but we were about to be put into an inquiry about what happened before that. I… looked into the pervert's pull-cart and found a bunch of pictures that displayed child pornography on them. What I saw disgusted me to no end in which I couldn't let anything else bad to happen to the girls, including Kanna and Sona. I wanted to destroy that pull-cart, but Brandon hauled it away for evidence against the pervert who kept jacking off on the bridge."

It wasn't long until I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen as the agony kept me on my knees. Even though I had a caesarian section with the quadruplets two weeks ago, I wasn't up to full as I kept crying out in pain the moment Jill rushed towards me and healed it quickly. Even though I was saved at the last minute, I felt the pain taken away for now as I was on my feet and ready to go home after playing at the canal with the girls, for that was enough for one day.

"Are you feeling alright?" asked Jill.

"It was a close call, but I'll live," I said.

"You did shield us girls to begin with," said Sona. "As for the weirdo with the pull-cart, Guido really did want to snip off his ding-dong and fling it out a car window."

"Sona!" yelled Sadritha as she didn't want her to hear too much vulgar talk. "You shouldn't be saying too much of that, understood?" She nods. "That's good. Besides, we should leave it up to the police to keep our resident pervert in the Kettle for the rest of his days in which he won't be causing more trouble again."

We ended up calling it a day as we were on our way back to the villa until next time. Still, our days became complicated as we also had to deal with so much on our plate. As for our discovery in the waterfall in the canal, we had to be careful not to display it out in the open as I would soon report to the Order's higher-ups to do so, for our random encounters with the Zenith Vectors would soon go from bad to worse if we weren't careful…

Kanna was in the bathing area as she was busy taking a bath. After what happened yesterday and today, she was aware of bad people existing as she was also concerned about my health after what happened to me earlier. When she saw the other girls in the bathtub with her, they were happy to play in the water before going to bed in which they didn't worry too much for the rest of the evening. Still, they were shielded from the dangers of suspicious perverts for now as they were also getting ready to go to their rooms for the night, for this was too much for them right now.

"This day's gotten weirder by the minute," said Sona.

"At least Mr. Sam protected us from that weirdo on the bridge," said Carly.

"You, Jill, and Zia were busy playing near the waterfall while Sona and I got the full brunt of being shielded," said Kanna. "Besides, Sam did his best to protect us in which he also doesn't want us to get into too much trouble."

"What kind of trouble?" asked Sona.

"Carly and I had our fair share in being caught in the crossfire during the Zetian ambush in which we made it with the skin of our teeth. Even though the war ended and those scary people are still at large, we should also have a lot of playtime so we won't get too scared all the time."

"We may have been protected from the local pervert, but there are far more worse things that would harm us if not careful," said Jill. "As for Sam, I hope he's okay after I healed him with what I have, for he's done so much for us already."

The girls continued to soak until they drained the water from the bathtub and stepped out of it just in time to dry off. When they got into their nightclothes, they cleaned up the bathing area before leaving as they were on their way to the sitting room. The girls didn't expect Gyatso to be in the room with his Superman toy as he was expecting them here, for he was concerned about what was going on yesterday and today.

"You really had a good day today, didn't you?" he said.

"Yesterday was a mess," said Sona.

"I heard Sam yelling about how he found some terrible pictures with kids doing things against their will and consent. He even wanted to get rid of it, but the cops didn't want him to in which he also had his reasons to protect you. A man is a lot of things, but he also has to step up and protect the vulnerable. He cares about everyone in which he puts his life on the line to keep us safe."

"You should've seen that Cetra getting ready to snip that weirdo's ding-dong off when he got taken away," said Sona. "Sam wasn't the only one who wanted to do that because that weirdo with the pull-cart is a bad person."

"Hey, you shouldn't be vulgar," I said as I entered into the room. "Still, Gyatso has a point when it comes to us protecting you, for there are bad people who often do terrible things to children. All of you shouldn't be around such toxicity, for you need a healthy outlook on life instead of worrying too much."

And I had a point as I had to make sure that everyone else was safe for the evening. Still, we had so much that happened as this was just the tipping point of keeping a better eye on the girls. I couldn't let them fall prey to those who would exploit them to the point of posing for sexual pictures, for I really had an abhorrence for child pornography. I wanted the children to play without worry as they needed a healthy childhood after all, for that was my wish for them till the bitter end…
