Episode 61: Going for a Spinda
The next day, after Mew has won her second ribbon, she and the others are now having lunch. Mew has both her case, revealing her contest ribbons and gym badges.
"Okay, so far I've got two ribbons and four badges," Mew says.
"Yes, but don't forget, you'll need three more ribbons for the Grand Festival," May says.
"And you'll need a total of eight badges to enter the Hoenn League," Brock says.
"I know," Mew says, "So we need to figure out our next destination."
Pikachu and Eevee nod in agreement.
Then Max asks, "Hey Mew! Which gym do you think you're gonna go for next?"
Mew then brings out a map and places it on the table.
"Well, let's see," Mew says.
Looking at the map, Brock says, "Leaving from here, Fortree City would be the closest. But there's a huge desert we'd have to cross. Probably best for us to head back to Mauville City and then go through Petalburg City!"
This has May excited, "Petalburg City?! We can stop at the Petalburg Gym!"
"Awesome! I can almost taste Mom's home cooking right now!" Max says, excited.
"Me too! And then I'll finally be able to show my Beautifly and my Skitty to Mom and Dad!" May says.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot your dad is the Petalburg Gym Leader," Tomo says.
"I remember we couldn't finish our battle because of Team Rocket," Mew says.
"Yeah. Those guys know how to interrupt a good battle," Molly says.
"Well, then it's settled. I'll be challenging Norman for my fifth badge," Mew says.
"It's not going to be an easy battle! My dad is super-strong you know!" Max says.
"He's right, it's gonna be harder than you think!" May says.
"Well we've gotten a lot stronger since then. We're gonna be tough to beat too!" Mew says.
"Pika, Pika!" (That's right!) Pikachu says.
"Eevee Eevee!" (We're stronger than before!) Eevee says.
"So Petalburg City here we come!" Mew says, excited.
Sometime later, Mew and the others are now making their way to Petalburg City Gym, run by May and Max's father, Norman. The group is walking along a river.
Soon, Pikachu senses something. The group stops to see a little bear like Pokemon with red patterns in front of them.
The Pokemon responds, "Spinda. Spinda."
"Look at that!" Tomo says.
Jen is awestruck, "Cutie!"
"It's a Spinda," Molly says.
"It's really cute," Mew says and brings out her Pokedex.
Dextette says, "Spinda, the Spot Panda Pokemon. A Normal Type. Spinda uses its seemingly clumsy movements to confuse its opponents. It is said that no two Spinda have the same pattern of spots."
2 more Spinda come out with different patterns of red spots.
"Look! It's true! Their patterns are all different!" Max says.
"There sure are a lot of them," Zinnia says.
"You're right! There must be a ton of 'em in these mountains too," Brock says.
Then May points out, "Hey look at that Spinda!"
The group looks to see another Spinda, but this one has a heart-shaped mark on its forehead.
"There's a heart-shaped mark on its forehead!" May says.
The Heart Marked Spinda says, "Spinda."
"It's so cute!" May says.
"Spinda," The Heart Marked Spinda says.
Suddenly, they hear a voice of a woman, "Spinda!"
"Spin? The Heart Marked Spinda responds.
"So there you are!" The voice appears again.
Everyone turns around to see a woman with fair skin, long green hair with a pink ribbon, wearing a white sun hat with a blue band, and a yellow dress.
"I've looked everywhere!" The woman says.
Of course, Brock becomes lovestruck, "So now look over here!"
"Spinda!" The Heart Marked Spinda responds before running away.
The woman calls out, Spinda wait!"
But the Spinda with the heart-shaped mark got away while the others left.
"Oh..." The woman responds, disappointed, "That was my lucky Spinda."
"A Spinda that can bring you luck?" May, Max, and Molly reply, confused.
"What does she mean by that?" Jen wonders.
"I have no clue," Mew says.
Still lovestruck, Brock comes over, " Uh...excuse me?"
Suddenly, a voice of a man calls out, "M'lady, have you found your Spinda?"
The group turns to see a man wearing a burgundy coat, and purple necktie. He has gray hair and a mustache.
The man runs over as he calls out, "We'll find your Spinda don't you worry!"
A little later…
The woman introduces herself, "Hi! My name is Claire."
"And I'm her butler, Royce!" The man says.
Mew smiles and says, "Hi! My name's Mew!"
Pikachu and Eevee greet themselves.
"I'm Tomo," Tomo says.
"I'm Jen," Jen says.
"And my name's May!" May says.
"I'm Molly," Molly says.
"I'm Zinnia," Zinnia says.
"My name's Max. Hi," Mas says.
Brock pushes himself forward, still lovestruck, "Hi, I'm Brock! I'm sincere as a Seedot! Adorable as an Abra! As cute as a Crawdaunt!"
"And a super-psycho as a Psyduck!" Max says, annoyed.
He and May push Brock away.
Then May asks Claire, "Excuse me! Why did you call that Spinda your 'good luck' Spinda?"
Royce then presents a photo, "Take a look at this."
The group then takes a picture and recognizes it.
"It's the same Spinda," May says.
"You're right," Zinnia says.
"The one with a heart-shaped on its forehead," Brock says.
Claire explains, "Ever since that Spinda and I first met I've had suck good luck! I can't begin to count all of my lucky breaks!"
"Well, sounds kinda mysterious, I guess," May replies.
"Eevee," (Sure is.) Eevee agrees.
Meloetta is curious about it.
Royce then explains, "That particular Spinda actually belongs to an acquaintance of ours, and we had promised him we'd return it today!"
"Really?" Molly asks.
"I just don't know what I'm gonna do now! That Spinda means the world to me," Claire says.
Brock then takes her hands and says, "Worry not Claire! I simply can't bear to see you grieve. I'll get your lucky Spinda back for you if it's the last thing I do!"
"You'd do that for me?!" Claire asks.
Brock is too eager to help, "I would do that, and more. Now look deep within these honorable eyes! You... must... trust me!" and has a sparkle in his eyes.
Royce looks close, "Peculiar little man," and shakes both Brock's hands, "We're forever and eternally in your debt Mister Brock."
"Uh.. Okay," Brock responds, feeling awkward.
Mew turns to the gang, "Whaddaya say we all help 'em to find her Spinda?"
"I'm with you, Mew!" Tomo says.
"Good idea! That'll bring us lots a' luck too!" Max says.
Jen giggles, "Good one, Max."
"Okay. Guess we can all use a little bit of that can't we?" May says.
The Pokemon agree to help.
Unknown to them Team Rocket has been listening by means of a satellite sound checker.
Mew's voice appears on the radio, "Then let's get going!"
"Fascinating. A Spinda that brings you good luck. Why, with that addition to our Team Rocket roster we could criss-cross the entire countryside winning lottery after lottery!" James happily says.
"And we could charge people money so's they use it for luck!" Meowth says.
And Jessie says, "I say we charge them ninety-nine percent, on every dollar they ever win! Can't argue with those numbers can you?"
"Wobbuffet!" Wobbuffet agrees
Somewhere in the forest, the gang are searching for Claire's Spinda.
Brock calls out, "Spinda?!"
"Spinda!" Zinnia calls out.
"Where are you?!" Mew calls out.
May calls out, "Hey, Spinda!"
Molly calls out, "Come out, come out, wherever you are!"
The gang is walking by searching till something was rustling in the bush as they took notice and what came out was a Spinda
Wild Spinda says, "Spinda." (Hello.)
"Hey it's..." Molly says.
"SPINDA!" May says.
Max checks the picture, "Not the right one. Look."
"Yeah?" May questions.
"That one doesn't have a heart on its forehead," Max says.
"You're right," May says.
Soon, Brock calls out, "Guys! I've found it!
They turn to see Spinda with a spot that resembles half a heart.
"Is that the one?" Mew asks.
"It looks like the right mark," Tomo says.
Skwovet nods in agreement.
Brock then charges in, "LOOK OUT!" and grabs the Spinda while sliding, "AAAAHH!"
"Alright!" May, Max, Jen, Tomo, and Molly cheer.
"Now back to Claire we go!" Brock says.
But then the Spinda looked up to reveal something.
Wild Spinda says, "Spinda. Spinda," (Hello there. Human.)
Brock gasps in horror.
The wild Spinda had a broken heart-shape mark.
Wild Spinda looks confused, "Spinda. Spinda." (Hello. Hello.)
Brock grunts with shock, disappointed, "Just my luck..." And drops the wild Spinda down
Spinda. Spinda," The Spinda says.
"A broken heart," Brock says, very disappointed.
Then the Spinda gives Brock a pat on the leg.
Just then, Royle points out, "Look m' lady!"
Oh good!" Claire happily says.
They soon find the Spinda with the heart shaped mark on its forehead, the one they're looking for.
Claire's Spinda responds, "Spina? Spin."
"Spinda!" Claire says, and laughs with relief.
Claire's Spinda walking to and checking around, "Spinda. Spinda? Spin?"
Mew, Pikachu, Eevee, Max, Jen, and Amaura approach from behind.
"Okay, guys, now!" Max says.
"Right!" Jen says.
"Here goes!" Mew says.
And with that, the group tries to catch Spinda.
But Claire's Spinda notices, "Spin!" (Oh dear!)
Claire's Spinda jumps away and Mew, Max, and the others end up hitting the ground as they missed it.
"It got away!" Jen says.
"Oh no!" Max says.
Mew calls out, "Wait, Spinda!"
The group rush over and are shocked to see what they find.
"No way!" Mew says, shocked.
The rest arrive.
"What is it Mew?" Zinnia says.
They all notice and gasp with shock.
"Oh no!" Molly says.
What they see is more Spinda in the bunch.
"There's so many of 'em! How're we ever gonna find the right one!" May asks.
"Easy, we just need to find one with a heart-shaped mark on its forehead," Mew says.
Claire calls out, "Where are you?" And looks around, "Spinda?"
Brock checks the photo and looks around, "Let's see. A heart mark. Where are you?"
Unknown to Brock, the Spinda with the broken heart mark is following Brock.
We see a Spinda, with a mark on its nose, one with marks on its eyes, and one with marks over its eyes and many others that don't have a heart-mark as the gang continues searching.
"This is not it," Molly says.
Mine's not it either," Tomo says.
Max checks one as well, "Nope! Not you."
But then some strong wind blew in and the Spinda, Max was checking was being blown away as he gasps. The other Spinda were being blown up and Pikachu and Eevee almost got blown away till Mew caught in time.
"Pikachu! Eevee!" Mew calls out and pulls them back, and holds on to them.
Mew gasps to see the Spinda with the heart mark and the other with the broken heart mark are being sucked in too. Soon, they're both sucked into a huge vacuum.
Clarie cries out, "My Spinda!
"What the blazes is going on here?!" Royce demands.
Mor Spinda gets sucked into the vacuum and evil laughing is heard and who appeared to be Team Rocket on their Meowth Balloon. And of course, they perform their motto.

Prepare for trouble from the Team with a heart!
James:
But make it double if you're smart!
Jessie:
To protect the world from devastation!
James:
To unite all people within our nation!
Jessie:
To denounce the evils of truth and love!

To extend our reach to the stars above!

Team Rocket blasts off a the speed of light!
James:
Surrender now or prepare to fight, fight, fight!
Meowth:
Meowth! That's right!
Wobbuffet:
Wobba! (That's right)
"Team Rocket!" Mew says, angrily.
"Why would you possibly steal my Spinda?" Claire asks.
"Well, I'll tell you why. Have you possibly heard of the word selfish?" Jessie says.
"Yeah, we wanna piece of that good luck too, got it?" Meowth says.
"Wobbuffet!" (That's right.) Wobbuffet says.
"Yep! And…" James says and takes out Claire's Spinda with a metal claw, "With this little guy, we'll get it!"
Clarie's Spinda is not having it, and angrily says, "Spinda!" (Oh yeah!)
And with that, Spinda then used Dizzy Punch on Team Rocket as they screamed upon impact.
"Whoa!" Tomo says, surprised.
"What happened?" Jen asks.
"Spinda used its Dizzy Punch!" Claire says.
"And a powerful one at that," Mew adds.
Dizzy, Team Rocket says, "Good name."
"Wobba? Wobb?" (A good name? A powerful one?) Wobbuffet says.
"They look very funny," Molly says.
"Anyone getting hit with a Dizzy Punch gets quite confused you see," Royce says.
Soon, Team Rocket snaps out of their dizziness.
"Testing," James says.
"Wha…" Meowth says.
"One... two…" Jessie says before turning to Spinda in anger.
Spinda grows worried, "Spin?!" (Oh dear?!)
"Why you... little brat!" Jessie angrily says.
"What're you doing confusing us?! We're already confused!" James says.
Then Claire's Spinda used its Hypnosis
Team Rocket reacts, "Oh…"
"That's a Hypnosis attack!" Brock says.
Jessie begins to get sleepy, "I'm suddenly feeling sleep-deprived."
Jessie, James, and Meowth go down sleepy.
"I'm with yous," Meowth says, tired.
"Wobbuffet," (Nap time.) Wobbuffet says, sleepy.
Soon, Team Rocket has fallen asleep, snoring while the balloon comes down with a big crash sound.
"We're coming, Spinda!" Mew calls out.
Soon enough, Mew and the others find the dazed out Team Rocket while Claire's Spinda checks the hole of their vacuum machine.
"Spin?" (Hmm). The Spinda replies.
Clarie soon calls out, "Spinda!"
Claire's Spinda calls out, "Spinda! (Hurry) and run off.
The other wild Spinda came out, including the broken heart Spinda.
"Spinda wait!" Zinnia calls out.
"Hold on!" Mew calls out.
Everyone is shocked to see the Spinda in their way.
"Uh oh!" Mew says.
Tomo calls out, "Come on you guys! You gotta get outta the way!"
Claire's Spinda was getting away
Claire's Spinda says, "Spinda. Spinda." (Gotta hurry. Gotta hurry.
It got away as it vanished out of sight.
Claire gasps in horror and cries out, "SPINDA!"
Later on, the group continues searching for Spinda, but no luck.
Claire, I'm afraid your lucky Spinda's gone!" Max says.
"I'm pretty sure it ran in this direction!" Brock says.
"Spinda," A voice replies.
Brock looks down to see the Spinda with the broken heart mark.
"Oh hi," Brock says, "You wanna help?"
The Spinda nods in response.
Then Royce suggests, "We should all split up! We'll be able to cover much more ground that way!"
Meanwhile, Team Rocket regains themselves and are searching for Spinda.
Jessie calls out, "Spinda! Sweet little Spinda!
"We can't let our good luck charm get away like that!" Mewoth says.
Wow, that's one speedy Spinda!" James says.
Jessie then has an idea, "Hey! I just came up with a delicious plan."
James and Meowth respond, "Yes?"
"Feast your eyes over there!" Jessie says, pointing to something.
James and Meowth become confused, "Huh?
And they look to see a Teddiursa.
"What is it?" James questions.
A Teddiursa!" Meowth says.
Teddiursa looks confused, "Ursa?" (What?")
Later on, Team Rocket is hiding with their nets ready.
"One by one, we'll scoop up all those Spinda as they come in!" Jessie says.
"Easier said than done," James says.
Something about this ain't sitting right," Meowth adds.
The reason why is because Jessie's plan is to have Teddiursa dressed up as a Spinda, and ties it to a tree so it can't get away.
Jessie says, "Oh please! Once that lucky Spinda sees its comrade helplessly tied up, the game is over!"
"You think that Spinda's really that dumb?" Meowth questions.
Teddiursa tries to run away but it's stuck to the rope tied around it.
Jessie madly groans, "Good point!"
Then says to the Teddiursa, "No, no, no, no! Spinda will never buy that half-witted act!"
"Hoo boy," Meowth replies.
"I don't think that's the problem," James says.
"More wobbling, watch!" Jessie says, demonstrating the wobbles and swaggers, "Put some swagger into it like this! Stumbling down the street like an old man, ready to fall down at any moment!" Then stops, "Become that Spinda!"
Then an Ursaring comes out behind her, mad, causing James and Meowth to scream in fright.
Scared, James says, "Jessie?"
"Lookie... behind you!" Meowth says, scared.
"Listen! I'll thank you to leave the directing to a real actress!" Jessie says.
But Ursaring lets out a growl in anger.
"Huh?" Jessie questions, confused.
James and Meowth whimper, scared. Jessie turns around nervously as the angry Ursaring then uses Hyper Beam and sends them all flying.
"That musta been its parent," Mewoths says.
"I'm sure it was just being protective," James says.
"Well I don't care who it was. I won't deal with nepotism in my show! I HAVE ETHICS!" James screams.
And soon, Team Rocket is gone.
Meanwhile, a man with bluish color hair, blue eyes, and wears a greenish shirt is walking up the hill.
The man sighs, "Phew! I'm almost there!"
Back to Mew and the others.
Max notices some tracks, "What about these tracks!"
"They're very close, but they're not from our good luck Spinda. Too bad," Royce says.
"I can't believe you can tell 'em apart by their tracks!" Max says, impressed.
Mew takes out her Pokeball, "Let's search from the air too! Taillow, let's go!" And tosses her Pokeball.
Soon, Taillow comes out of the Pokeball.
Taillow says, "Taillow!" (Ready to help!)
Meanwhile, the Spinda is running from May, Brock, and Claire.
"Wait, Spinda!" May calls out.
Brock jumps and catches it, "I got you!" presents Spinda to May, Claire, and the others.
But it's the Spinda with the broken heart mark again, while the Spinda that has a star mark is running away.
"Uh…" The group replies.
"Uh Brock," Jen says.
Brock checks, "Drat! Wrong one!"
Then places the Spinda down, "Sorry."
Spinda giggles in response.
"Spinda's gone," Molly says.
"I wonder where your Spinda could be?" May wonders.
"I don't know," Claire says and looks up worried, "I hope you're not hungry. Or you haven't gotten hurt. Or maybe worse."
Flashback:
She remembers how they sit in the field of flowers and Spina smiles.
Claire is with her Spinda, "Oh Spinda, you've given me so much happiness."
"Spinda!" (You're welcome.) Spinda says
"The day I met you my entire life changed!" Claire says.
Flashback Ends:
"Where should we look next? We're almost to the top of this mountain," May says.
"To the top," Claire questions, but then realizes, "May that's it!"
Sometime later, James is climbing up a cliff, "I have to say I'm in no mood to get attacked by an Ursaring with an attitude."
Then Wobbuffet comes up, "Wobba!"
Then Meowth comes up, "I guess you can't make a Spinda out of a Teddiursa can ya?"
Then Jessie comes up, "Wrong!"
"Huh?" Meowth responds, confused.
Then Jessie says, "The script was right on, but the acting was... stale! As a matter of fact all we need is a better actor isn't that right Meowth?"
"Oh?" Meowth responds nervously, "You talking to me?"
"Show time!" Jessie says.
And the next moment, Meowth finds himself painted in Spinda color with whiskers tapped, and has to keep his eyes closed.
"Just when I thought we'd hit an all-time low," Meowth says.
Jessie and James are hiding behind a rock and have their nets ready.
Jessie calls out, "Now remember! Acting is the life-blood of any play!"
"Right! And don't forget about the faltering footwork!" James says.
" Yeah, yeah," Meowth says, dejected. Then begins wobbling, "Dancing prancing all about! Come on Spinda help me out!" and sighs, "Eh... This is pathetic, no Spinda's ever gonna fall for it."
Then Jessie spots something, "Look guys!"
"Huh?" James responds.
What Team Rocket sees is Claire's Spinda, and it's walking close to Meowth.
Claire's Spinda responds, "Spinda?" (You okay?)
Meowth notices it, "Hmm?" and lets out a gasp, getting startled.
Then James and Jessie come in to capture Spinda.
"Let's go!" Jessie calls out.
And James calls out, "Yay!"
The two then swing their nets down, but they end up catching Meowth by mistake.
"Goes from bad to worse," Meowth says.
And Charlie's Spinda runs away as it cries out, "Spinda!" (Runaway!)
"Come back here!" Jessie calls out, chasing after it.
James follows her.
James calls out, "Wobble back here this instant!"
"Or your wobbling days are over!" Jessie calls out.
But then, they all stop in confusion, "Huh?"
Meowth comes, "Huh?"
And soon enough, Spinda begins to dance, but it's performing Teeter Dance.
"What's going on?" James asks.
Soon, Meowth says, "Spinda's doing its Teeter Dance!"
Spinda continues with Teeter Dance that the Team Rocket start doing the same thing.
Team Rocket soon says, "Charming."
They danced slowly from right to left repeatedly.
Spinda continues with Teeter Dance.
Team Rocket responds, dancing and getting dizzy, "Da, da, da, da, da. Da…"
They all continued dancing like Spinda till the ledge broke and one by one they all fell down to the river screaming before a big splash.
Claire's Spinda responds, confused, "Spin?" (Oh my?)
Suddenly Brock's voice calls out, "There it is! Over there!"
Spinda turns to see Mew and the others coming towards it. Spinda responds by running away.
"Claire, you're right! Spinda's headed for the mountaintop!" May says.
"I'm coming," Claire says.
Claire's Spinda continues running, "Spinda! Spinda!" (Gotta hurry! Gotta hurry!)
Spinda arrives at the top and continues running.
Brock and May call out, "Hey Spinda!" but then gasps in shock.
Claire and the others arrive to be noticed with shock as they find a beautiful flower field with many Spinda around.
"Wow!" Jen says.
"It's beautiful!" May says.
"Who knew there'd be a giant flower garden all the way up here?" Brock says.
"And look at all the Spindas," Molly says.
The Broken Heart Spinda picks up a flower and presents it to Brock.
Brock kneels to Spinda, "Is that for me?"
"Spinda," (Yes.) The Broken Heart Spinda says.
Brock takes the flower, "Thank you."
Then Spinda climbs on Brock's shoulder.
Suddenly, Claire hears a voice, "Spinda?" (Claire?)
"Huh?" Claire replies and looks down.
She gasps to see her Spinda, and has a flower in its paw. It then presents a pretty pink flower for her.
Spinda happily says, "Spin." (For you.)
"Oh Spinda," Claire says and kneels down, "I should've known that this is where you were headed all along!
"Spinda!" (That's right.) Claire's Spinda says.
Brock, May, and the others looked happy.
Suddenly they hear Taillow's voice, "Taillow!"
"Huh?" Brock responds.
They look to see Taillow flying over them in the sky.
Taillow calls out, "Taillow!" (They're over here!)
Then they spot Mew, Royce, and the rest coming up.
"Hey Brock! May! Guys!" Max calls out.
Royce calls out, "Claire!"
"Thanks Taillow!" Mew says and calls it back to its Pokeball.
Soon, the gang arrives where the others are.
Royce says, "So our Spinda was simply returning back to its favorite flower garden. Of course!"
"Favorite flower garden?" Tomo asks.
Claire picks up her Spinda happily, "Yes. This garden is a special place for all of us! This is where I met Spinda's owner."
"Are you talking about that acquaintance?" May asks.
The Spinda with the broken heart nuzzles Brock, making him chuckle in response.
Claire's Spinda happily says, "Spinda."
Claire looks happy to Spinda.
Suddenly, a voice of a man calls out, "Claire?"
"Huh?" Claire responds.
Claire's Spinda also responds, "Spin?" (Huh?)
Everyone turns to see the man from before coming behind her.
Claire turns to see, "Kane?"
She looks at Kane charmingly.
"Kane! It's you!" Claire says, happily.
Spinda is happy, "Spinda!" (Kane!)
Brock becomes disappointed, "I knew it!"
Then Royce says, "Kane is Spinda's owner, you see. And Kane and Claire are engaged to be married!"
"THEY'RE ENGAGED?!" The group replies in surprise.
Brock grunts with horror, as the Spinda on his shoulder looks confused.
"Spin," Spinda replies.
Then Royce explains, "Kane is what's called a Pokemon adventurer. He travels in the nether regions of the world seeking out Pokemon that are most unusual and rare!"
"Wow, really?" Molly asks.
"So he left his Spnda with Claire while he was out traveling around!" Mew says.
"So that's why she thinks of it as lucky. Looks like Claire's pretty lucky too if you ask me!" May says.
"I agree," Molly says.
"Yeah," Zinnia says.
Max then turns to Brock, "Well I can tell ya one person who's not feeling very lucky right about now."
Heartbroken and disappointed, Brock says, "Don't worry. I only want what's best for Claire... I'll be okay."
"Spin," Spinda says, patting Brock on the head.
"I'm so glad you're safe. Here's your Spinda back Kane," Claire says, and returns Spinda to Kane, but keeps the flower.
"Thank you! I'm just glad to see you and my Spinda safe and happy!" Kane says.
Claire looks at the flower, "This flower... it's the same one."
Flashback:
Claire and Spinda are sitting together.
"Spinda," (Flowers) Spinda happily says.
That's when Kane walks over, "
"Spin?" (Huh?) Spinda responds.
Clair also responds, "Huh?"
Kane presents a flower to Claire as she gets up and takes it and she then smiles and blushes while chuckling.
Flashback Ends:
"It's perfect. You remembered. The same flower you gave me the day we met," Claire says.
"Spinda!" (That's right!) Spinda happily says.
Suddenly, the ground begins to shake.
"Spin?" (Huh?) Spinda responds.
Everyone gasps and notices in shock.
"What-What's going on?!" Zinnia cries out.
Then something exploded out of the ground and what rose up was a giant robot Spinda much to Claire and Kane's shock.
Giant Spinda Robot responds, "Spinda!"
Then Team Rocket appears on the robot's head laughing.
May, Max, Mew, and Molly cry out, "Team Rocket!"
Even the Pokemon angrily says in their language, (Not them again!)
"Behold! Our Robo-Spinda is equipped with all the most high-tech whistles and bells!" James announces.
"We copied Spinda exactly! 'Cept, of course that out is ten times as big as that teensy little original!" Meowth says.
And Jessie says, "Therefore we've given it the clever name, 'Lucky 10 Times Over!'"
"Isn't that brilliant?!" Team Rocket says.
Team Rocket goes down in the head of the Spinda Bot and its arms raise up.
Robo-Spinda calls out, "Spinda!"
"Go, Robo-Spinda!" James calls out.
And Jessie says, "Gather your tiny brethren!"
"Here goes!" Meowth says and activates the lever.
The Robo-Spinda opens its mouth and two mechanical arms came out and began to grab most of the Spinda in the flower garden and stored them in its belly
"Oh no!" Molly cries out.
"They're taking all the Spinda!" Zinnia cries out.
Kane then says, "Claire, I'll take care of these guys!"
"Be careful!" Claire says, worried.
Mew then shouts, "Stop Team Rocket!"
Pikachu and Eevee jump down looking angry.
Kane calls out, "Quick Spinda! Hypnosis!"
Kane/Claire's Spinda uses Hypnosis.
"Hypnosis? Okay…" Meowth says, and has a metal reflector come out of the Robo-Spinda's stomach, "...then Hypnosis it is!"
Kane/Claire's Spinda continues with Hypnosis but the metal reflector causes it to be reflected back at it and Spinda gets dizzy and falls down.
"Spinda no!" Claire cries out.
"They reflected Hypnosis back!" Kane says.
A mechanical arm head for Spinda.
"Come to Jessie!" Jessie says.
But Mew says, "No you don't! Quick, Pikachu, Eevee, Thunderbolt!"
Both Pikachu and Eevee perform the attack.
Then Jessie calls out, "Dizzy Punch, Team Rocket style!"
The Robo-Spinda fires a fist towards the group.
"Duck!" Molly cries out.
They ducked down to avoid the fist and then a mechanical arm grabbed Kane/Claire's Spinda.
"One more for the road!" Jessie calls out.
The arm brings Spinda up
Team Rocket cheers, "When it comes to grabbing Spinda, looks like we win-da!"
Claire begs them, "Don't do it! Don't take the Spinda we love so much away from us!"
"Touching...but no dice!" Jessie says.
The arm throws Spinda into the Robo-Spinda's mouth
"My poor sweet Spinda!" Claire says, devastated. Then Claire faints in Royce's arms.
Everyone gasps in shock.
"Oh my dear!" Royce replies.
And seeing Claire faint make Brock enraged, "ENOUGH! NOBODY MAKES CLAIRE UNHAPPY! THAT MEANS YOU TEAM ROCKET! I, Brock have nothing left to lose!" And takes out his three Pokeballs, "Forretress! Lotad and Mudkip!" and tosses his Pokeballs, "Let's go!"
Soon, his Pokemon comes out.
Then the Broken Heart Spinda turns to Brock, "Spinda Spinda!" (Let me at em!)
"You wanna help too?" Brock asks.
Spinda nods.
"Then let's go, Spinda," Brock says.
And Brock's Spinda joins in.
Brock then calls out, "Go Mudkip, Water Gun! Lotad! Razor Leaf! Spinda, use Psybeam!"
Mudkip fires Water Gun, Lotad uses Razor Leaf, and Spinda performs Psybeam, However, one of the attacks makes an impact on the Robo-Spinda.
"Please! You obviously have nothing left to give either," Jessie says.
"Wobbuffet! (Nothing at all!) Wobbuffet says.
"This Spinda Robot was worth every single penny," James says.
And Meowth says, "Another 'Team Rocket Dizzy Punch?!'"
Meowth laughs and presses the button. The Robo-Spinda fires a Dizzy Punch fist towards Mudkip, and Lotad and makes an impact. Spinda mananges to dodge in the nick of time and rolls to Brock.
"Lotad!" Mew cries out.
"And Mudkip!" Jen adds.
Brock picks up Spinda, "You okay?"
Spinda nods.
"Good, you sit tight. I have a plan," Brock says.
Brock then picks up Forretress, "Please Forretress! I want you to do this for Claire!" And tosses Forretress, "Explosion!"
Forretress uses Explosion and makes a big BOOM and the Robo-Spinda was all crisped up while all the captured Spinda jump out free.
"It worked!" Jen says.
Brock then calls back his Pokemon in the Pokeballs, "That's showing 'em!"
"Where's Kane's Spinda?" May asks.
Max points over, "Over there!"
They look to see Kane/Claire's Spinda coming out
Claire calls out, "Get outta there quick!"
The Broken Heart Spinda bravely runs over.
"Spinda, be careful!" Brock calls out.
Soon, the Spinda reaches to the top to rescue Claire/Kane's Spinda. But then the Dizzy Punch fish makes an impact on the Robo-Spinda and it explodes while Kane/Claire's Spinda was sent flying up screaming.
"Spinda! No!" Kane cries out.
Spinda!" Brock cries out.
And with that, Brock makes to catch the Broken Heart Spinda and Kane mananges to catch his and Claire's
"I gotcha now, okay?" Kane asks.
His Spinda responds with a nod.
Brock looks at the Broken Heart Spinda, "You okay, there?"
Spinda nods, "Spinda." (I'm okay.)
"That's good. What you did was brave," Brock says.
And soon, it's revealed that Team Rocket is burned to a crisp.
"Why didn't that lucky Spinda work for us?" Jessie asks.
"Well, there are two kinds of luck," Jessie says.
"And I'll give ya's one guess as to which kinda luck we got," Meowth says.
Wobbuffet says, "Wobbuffet!" (The bad one!)
Then Mew says, "Alright Pikachu! Eevee! Finish it up with Thunder!"
Pikachu and Eevee perform Thunderbolt and shock Team Rocket, sending them blasting off after the machine explodes.
Jessie tugs on a handkerchief with her teeth and says, "I'm so humiliated!"
"I can't imagine worse!" James says.
"I got a Spinda costume you can have!" Meowth adds.
Team Rocket cries out, "Team Rocket's blasting off...in shame!"
"Wobbuffet!" (Real shame!) Wobbuffet cries out.
Later on…
Claire runs to Kane and Spinda, "Kane! Spinda's okay!"
"Yes, together again safe and sound!" Royce says.
"Oh Claire," Kane says.
Their Spinda says, "Spinda."
"You are the only one for me," Kane says.
They held hands while Brock watches with disappointment while holding the Spinda with a broken heart mark.
"Well, at least... we have each other," Brock says.
Spinda says, "Spinda," (That we do.) and hugs Brock.
Brock chuckles with a smile, "You seem very attached to me."
Then Brock asks, "Would you like to tag along with me?"
"Spinda Spinda," (I'm very happy too.) Spinda happily says and gives Brock kisses.
Brock laughs, "I'll take that as a yes."
Later on, Mew and the gang begin to take their leave.
"Thank you so much for all you've done!" Claire says.
"Yes, and take care!" Kane calls out.
"You guys take care too!" Mew calls out.
Pikachu and Eevee say their farewells.
May calls out, "And good luck with your wedding!"
"Yeah, see ya!" Max says.
Claire, Kane, and Royce call out, "Thanks! Goodbye!"
Spinda!" spinda also says its goodbye.
Brock whimpered sadly before turning around and says in tears, "Claire, fear not for someday I shall find my happiness too!"
And his new Spinda gives Brock a kiss, cheering him up.
Brock smiles, "But I guess I end up with a new Pokemon friend."
Spinda smiles and gives him kisses.
It isn't the first time that Brock's heart has been broken and it's a safe bet that it won't be the last either. Perhaps he can finally find his own lady luck at their next stop Petalburg Gym! Until then, he will enjoy being friends with his new Spinda friend.
