Episode 64: Delcatty Got Your Tongue
Now leaving Mauville city, Mew and her friends are making their way to Verdanturf Town so May can compete for her next Contest.
Max checks the Pokenav and says, "According to the PokéNav, this road will take us straight to Verdanturf Town."
"Are you excited for your next contest?" Brock asks.
"Yes, and I'm excited about earning my next ribbon, too!" May happily says.
"That's the spirit," Mew says.
They soon see something up ahead, two construction workers at work.
The worker says, "Sorry, but you'll have to go around. A water pipe problem we're trying to dig up. Please walk around the roadblocks and watch your step."
The group then begins to circle around the construction site.
Soon a familiar voice says, "Watch your step."
And with that, the group falls into a pit and the worker gives out a peace sign.
"They lead us right into this hole," May says.
"Remind me again why we have to fall into these holes?" Mew wonders.
Soon, Jessie appears without her costume, "It's so nice of you to drop in."
"All comfy down dere, I hope," Meowth says.
"You'll be staying a while," James says.
"Should have known," Mew says.
Then Meowth says, "Now we take dat Pikachu and Eevee off your hands!"
"Here goes!" James says and brings down an extendable net before catching what he thinks is Pikachu and Eevee, "Gotcha!"
However, Team Rocket looks up and sees that James hoisted up the entire group and sent them flying.
Zinnia's voice calls out, "Over here!"
Team Rocket looks back and sees the gang back on solid ground.
"Thanks for the lift, James," Molly says.
"This is the one time you've been kind enough to help us out of one of your traps," Tomo says.
Jessie growls in anger, "Alright, we'll do this the hard way! Seviper, go!" and Seviper comes out.
Mew calls out, "Torkoal, I choose you!"
And Torkoal comes out.
James calls out, "Cacnea, come on out!"
Cacnea comes out, but tries hugging James instead.
James cries out, "Yes, I love you, too, but ow!"
Jessie calls out, "Seviper, Bite down on that Torkoal, now!"
Seviper darts in for the attack.
But Mew calls out, "Iron Defense, Torkoal!"
Torkoal ducks into its shell just in time before Seviper Bites it, only to hurt itself as a result.
"Yeah! Now, Flamethrower!" Mew calls out.
Torkoal fires the attack and nails Seviper.
James then calls out, "Pin Missile, Cacnea! Go!"
Seviper fires and the attack strikes Torkoal somewhat.
May then calls out, "Go, Skitty!"
Skitty comes out of the Pokeball.
"Double Slap!" May calls out.
Skitty prepares to throw the attack, only for Seviper to strike first with its tail, sending it flying before it lands on top of Torkoal's shell, only for Torkoal to shoot smoke out of it, sending Skitty flying and getting it caught in the smoke plume before it lands in front of Torkoal.
May runs up to her Pokemon, "Oh, Skitty! Are you alright?" and picks her up.
Realizing his mistake, Torkoal apologies, "Torkoal." (Sorry.)
Soon, Jessie says, "Now's your chance, Seviper! Wrap attack!"
Seviper charges in
Brock then calls out, "Mudkip, Water Gun!"
Mudkip comes out of the Pokeball and fires the attack sending Team Rocket flying into the distance
Team Rocket cries out, "Hosed again!"
Mew rushes to May, "Is Skitty okay?"
Skitty tries to meow, but its voice was raspy
"It must've lost its voice after Torkoal shot it up into the air with that smoke," Max says.
Torkoal lowers his head in remorse, "Torkoal." (Sorry.)
"Torkoal said he's sorry," Mew says.
May reassures, "Don't worry, Torkoal. It's not your fault, I promise."
Torkoal begins to cry.
"We better get it to a Pokémon Center as soon as we can," Brock says.
"Let's see if we can find a town nearby," Mew says.
"Good idea," Max says.
Max and Mew get out their Pokenav to find a town nearby.
"Well, it looks like Foothill Town isn't too far," Max says.
"Then that's where we're going," May says.
Mew and her friends soon reach Foothill Town after having to make a detour from their path to Verdanturf Town, thanks to Team Rocket. Now all they can do is help to find a Pokemon Center for Skitty. Upon arriving, Mew and the others searches for
"Hey, Foothill Town is bigger than I thought," Max says.
Just then, a woman soon approaches.
Zinnia then asks, "Excuse me, ma'am, but do you know where the Pokémon Center is?"
"Oh, I'm sorry, but we don't have a Pokémon Center here in Foothill," The woman says.
"So what are we going to do now?" May asks.
"We may have to head on to Verdanturf Town," Brock says.
But then the woman says, "But we do have a Pokémon Clinic."
"A Pokémon Clinic?" Tomo questions.
"Yes. In fact, there's a doctor there that's supposed to be one of the best," The woman says.
"Then let's go," Brock says.
After getting directions, the gang arrives at the Pokemon Clinic.
"This must be the place," Mew says.
"Looks nice," Jen says.
They soon hear a voice, "Thank you, doctor."
They soon hear a doctor's voice, "Take good care of that Makuhita."
And they soon see a boy walking out with his Makuhita.
"Yes! I can tell she's gorgeous just by the sound of her voice!" Brock says, excited.
Mew, Tomo, and Max roll their eyes in response.
Soon, the group enters the clinic.
"Hello? Is the doctor in?" Mew calls out, "
"Be right there!" The doctor says, "
Soon, a large girl steps out with her Aron in her arms as she says, "Thank you for everything, doctor!"
"You're welcome. Bye, now," The doctor says.
And soon, the doctor steps out, "Hello. Come in. I'm Doctor Abby. I run this clinic. What can I help you with?"
The woman, Doctor Abby, looks very pretty. She has teal hair in pigtails, wears a purple shirt underneath a white coat. She also has fair skin and reddish colored eyes.
"Well ma'am, we need help," Mew says.
And Brock approaches her in excitement, "Hi and hello. I can tell by... Well, I…" And soon calmly says, "What I'm trying to say is, I appear to be having irregular palpitations in my heart. Think you can examine it?"
Then Max grabs Brock's ears, "Here's a cure. Let's go," And pulls him away.
Brock cries out, "Not the ear."
May steps forward with her Skitty, "My Skitty has lost its voice. And I think its throat is hurt."
Dr. Abby takes May's Skitty and says, "Come on, we'll have a look."
Dr. Abby leads the group to the examination room.
"When did this happen?" Dr. Abby asks.
"Not long ago," Mew says.
Then May says, "It accidentally inhaled some smoke from my friend's Torkoal after a Seviper sent it flying onto Torkoal's shell, forcing it to shoot out smoke.
Dr. Abby opens Skitty's moth, "Well, that may have done it," Then closes its mouth and turns it around, "But don't you worry, massaging the right spots should fix it right up," and massages Skitty's upper back and neck as she speaks, "At this clinic, I treat most Pokémon ailments by stimulating pressure points."
"Pressure points? What are they?" Molly asks.
"Who knows?" Max wonders.
"It kind of reminds me of what Suzie did back on Scissor Street in HopHopHop Town," Mew says.
"You're right. With humans, messaging some parts of the body can heal fatigue and tension. Some like Dr. Abby and Suzie are able to do the same for Pokemon," Brock says.
"That's right," Dr. Abby says, "Very good.
"Well, I do plan on being the world's best Pokemon Breeder," Brock says.
"Good for you," Dr. Abby says.
"It's pretty amazing to use pressure points," May says.
"I truly believe that natural Pokémon medicine can heal almost anything," Dr. Abby says.
Soon, Dr. Abby is finished, "Now, Skitty, can you try meowing for me?"
Skitty tries, but can't
"It's okay. Take your time," Dr. Abby says.
Skitty tries again, and makes a bit of a louder sound, indicating it was better already.
This makes May very happy, "You did it!"
"Give it just a day or so, and it'll be back to normal," Dr. Abby says.
You're amazing, Dr..." May says.
But Brock moves her aside, "I agree, using massage therapy to heal an ailment is amazing. Now if you could do the same thing for a human, you and I can rock and roll, you know?"
Max then pulls him by the ear, "Hey!" and drags him away, "You're in the wrong hospital for the help you need.
Dr. Abby picks up Skitty and pets her, "All better now? I guess smoke inhalation was the problem."
Skitty lowly meows.
"Thanks, Dr. Abby. Skitty seems good as new," May says.
Soon, Tomo walks to a bookshelf and notices a picture, "Hey guys, look. There's a picture of Dr. Abby, and she had a Skitty too."
Everyone sees the picture.
"You're kidding," May says.
"And it looks like it's from the Pokemon Grand Festival," Max says.
"You're right, and she's the Ribbon Cup," Mew says.
"Yeah. they only give that in the Grand Festvial," Brock says.
"So was also a Grand Festival Winner too," Zinnia says.
"Cool," Jen adds.
Soon, May gasps in shock, "Now I know why her name sounds so familiar!"
"You've heard of her before?" Molly asks
May then pulls out a magazine, "Just look! This issue of Coordinator Monthly has a whole feature on legendary Coordinators, and here she is!"
And opens it to reveal a picture of Dr. Abby along with her Skitty.
"Hey, you're right!" Mew says.
"Pika!" (It's her!) Pikachu says.
May then explains, "She was a Legendary Coordinator who entered as a complete unknown and, against all odds, she rose to the challenge and beat the favorite in the Grand Festival," She lets out a sigh, "The article said you lived somewhere near Verdanturf Town, but I never thought I'd get to meet you face to face, Dr. Abby."
"Please. It's not a big deal. But since you're interested…" Dr. Abby says.
A bit later, in Dr. Abby's office…
"These are all my Contest ribbons," Dr. Abby says.
"Wow. I can't believe you have so many!" Jen says.
"That's so cool," Mew says.
Then a certain cup catches her eyes, "And this is the coolest award in this whole case."
"Yes. That's my Ribbon Cup," Dr. Abby says.
"Awesome," May says, awestruck.
Flashback:
Dr. Abby soon has a flashback of her contest days.
May asks, "So, you really entered the Grand Festival with a Skitty just like mine?
"That's right," Dr. Abby says.
Years ago in the Grand Festival, Dr. Abby's Skitty amazes the judges with a juggling act before hopping onto its head, spinning around and hitting the balls away with its tail before pouncing back to its trainer
Vivian announces, "What kind of score will the judges give Abby and her Skitty for that wonderful juggling performance?"
The judges give Abby and her Skitty a perfect score
"It's a perfect score! And that puts them into a solid first place!" Vvian says.
The crowd roars as Vivian talks before it cuts to Skitty battling a Kirlia, then a Zangoose and then a Swampert.
May says, "Then I know you got a perfect score in the battle round, too, and blew everyone else away. That must've been the greatest day of your life."
"I suppose. In a way," Dr. Abby replies.
Then May says, "But then, after that victory, you disappeared, and you never entered another Pokémon Contest again."
As May and Dr. Abby talk, the latter is seen holding her Ribbon Cup with Skitty.
Flashback Ends:
Soon, everyone is sitting down having drinks while the Pokemon have a bite to eat.
"I've wanted to meet you for so long, Dr. Abby," May says.
"You're giving me way too much credit and praise," Dr. Abby says.
Then Brock asks, "Why did you decide to retire so suddenly?"
Flashback:
Dr. Abby then explains, "Well, after I won the Grand Festival, I decided to travel for a while. I wanted to learn more about Pokémon, but I guess my big victory made me a little overconfident. So, when I was challenged to a battle one day, I didn't stop to consider if I was really prepared or not."
On that day, she and her Skitty were walking around until she met someone with a Flygon on the road right when a storm came in.
Dr. Abby calls out, "Johnny, Iron Tail!"
Johnny, her Skitty, charges in, only for the Flygon to launch a Flamethrower that sent him falling down a cliff just before it started raining.
"Johnny fell all the way to the bottom of a cliff and was hurt pretty badly," Dr. Abby says, "I was pretty frantic as I ran to get Johnny some help, but luckily, I found a Pokémon Clinic that was run by a man named Dr. Moss. Dr. Moss used his own unique massage therapy to treat Johnny, and by morning, he was healthy and running around just like before."
The Flashback continues and shows moments of Abby and her Skitty until it ends.
Flashback Ends:
Then Dr. Abby says, "That's when I first realized that there are other ways to interact with Pokémon, aside just training and battling with them."
Everyone ponders what she said, though some knew she was right.
Dr. Abby continues explaining, "I convinced Dr. Moss to make me his apprentice and teach me all his healing methods."
Flashback:
Dr. Abby remembers her days as Dr. moss' apprentice.
Dr. Abby explains, "First, I had to learn all the different Pokémon pressure points, and then the various massage techniques. It took a long time before the doctor thought I was ready to do any of the treatment work myself. Even with all his help and supervision, I still made more than my share of mistakes."
As the doctor talks, her flashback show her mentor massaging a Wynaut, and then an Ursaring, before she herself was allowed to attempt treatment on a Loudred and a Marshtomp, though she accidentally hit the wrong spot and caused the Marshtomp a bit of a pain spasm before apologizing.
And then another flashback shows one full moonlit night.
Dr. Abby says, "But finally, one night, after a long, hard day of treating Pokémon, Dr. Moss complimented me on my good work and gave me a Moon Stone. He said it was so my Skitty could evolve into a Delcatty."
It shows Dr. Moss has given Abby the Moon Stone before Johnny touched it and evolved into a Delcatty.
"It made me realize something; I saw that just as Johnny had evolved, I needed to evolve myself. And that's when I decided to start a Pokémon Clinic of my own," Dr. Abby explains.
Johnny meows.
Flashback Ends:
"Wow. How cool," May says.
"See. Pokémon aren't the only sentient ones that grow, so do we," Brock says.
"That was a great story," Zinnia says.
"I agree," Mew says.
Max nods in agreement.
"Anyway, enough about me," Dr. Abby says.
But then May says, "Before we go, do you think we could meet your Delcatty?"
"Yes, absolutely," Dr. Abby says.
Moments later, Dr. Abby takes them to the back door and opens it.
She calls out, "Johnny!"
Johnny comes running up.
"So this is a Delcatty," May says, bringing out her Pokedex.
Dextette says, "Delcatty, the Prim Pokémon. A Normal Type. Delcatty lives life at its own pace, napping most of the time and rarely confronting other Pokémon. Even when disturbed, Delcatty will move to another spot rather than fight."
May then pets Johnny, "You're so cute."
"Mroowwl." (Why, thank you.) Johnny says.
"Johnny said thank you," Mew says.
Unbeknownst to anyone, Team Rocket was spying from afar.
"What are the twerps doing at a Pokémon Clinic?" Jessie asks.
"There's a Skitty, and a Delcatty," James says.
Then Meowth has an idea, "Hey I've got another brilliant plan. We catch 'em both and give 'em to da boss."
"And why would he want that?" James asks.
"It's their only evolutionary stage," Meowth says.
A fantasy scenario begins
Meowth explains, "Dat means da boss will have a complete set, 'Wow, what a remarkable pair you are. A Skitty and a Delcatty. What a lucky man I am.' He'll be so happy, naturally, he'll tink of us, da ones who gave em to him. "That Meowth and his teammates have set an example for all of my troops to follow by giving this collection to me." And you know what'll happen after?
Fantasy scenario ends.
Team Rocket cheers, "We'll be rewarded, then promoted! Yay!"
But then James says, "But if full sets are good, wouldn't it stand to reason that a set of all of Eevee's potential forms be even better?"
Meowth irks, "Do you see any Eevee around?! Woik wit me here!"
"Who cares about what you two are bickering about?" Jessie says, "All I know is that Delcatty and Skitty are coming with us."
Inside the clinic, Skitty was happily chasing its tail.
"Here she goes again," Mew says.
"Shouldn't have gotten dizzy," May says.
Then Dr. Abby walks over with a few toy balls, "Here's what I used to do with Johnny when he was a Skitty," Then crouches down to Skitty's level, "Try to hit these balls with Double Slap, Skitty."
Skitty stops and stands on its hind legs while it waves its front legs around.
Dr. Abby giggles and says, "Right, but when I throw them. Instead of using your paws, use your tail."
Skitty looks at its tail and agrees.
"First, just one," Dr. Abby says, and throws it to Skitty, who bounces it into the air with its tail, "Now two," and throws the second ball and Skitty starts juggling both balls, amazing everyone.
"Awesome. I can see how you won the appeals round in the Grand Festival," Max says.
Dr. Abby stands up, "Alright, Double Slap them back to me now, Skitty."
Skitty does so, successfully.
Dr. Abby catches two balls and says, "That was perfect!" Then turns to May, "Do you want to give it a try, May?"
"Sure," May says and takes the balls, "Ready, Skitty?"
Skitty meows in confirmation.
"Alright, use Double Slap," May says and tosses the balls.
However, Skitty sends them back to May a bit too early.
"Good job. Let's try it one more time," May says.
Skitty meows, but then…
"Anybody home?" A voice calls out.
Dr. Abby calls out back, "Oh, yes!"
Dr. Abby heads to the front and sees Jessie and James in German disguises while Meowth is wrapped in bandages.
Jessie says in a German accent, "Our precious Meowth vas hurt in a bizarre accident vile ve vere up on a nearby mountain yodeling, ze poor zing ended up falling down ze mountain after it got its paw stuck in a clogging shoe."
"Von't you please have a look?" James asks in a German accent.
"Yes, of course, right this way," Dr. Abby says.
Jessie says in thought, "That Skitty and Delcatty are in the bag."
In the examination room…
"This must've hurt a lot," Dr. Abby says, removing the bandages.
"I'm sure it vould thank you if it could speak, but, of course, it can't," Jessie says.
"I'd hate for it to vorsen its injury by trying to meow," James says.
"Alright, Meowth, let's just see what we have here," Dr. Abby says and removes some of the bandages around Meowth's head.
"Eevee!" (Hold on!) Eevee replies.
Meowth flinches, huckles sheepishly before turning his head.
"What? What is it, little one?" Dr. Abby asks.
Jessie and James momentarily panics.
"Oh, it's probably nosing," Jessie says.
"It's probably just happy to have ze bandages off," James says.
"Let's apply some pressure," Dr. Abby says, and begins her work.
Confused, Meowth asks, "Dis is medical treatment?"
Soon, Jessie and James kneel to Johnny and Skitty.
"Oh, look! Isn't dis just ze cutest little Skitty?" Jessie says.
"And here's a Delcatty, also cute," James says and pets Johnny.
"I don't see anything wrong with your Meowth," Dr. Abby says.
"Just keep looking, and you'll find it," Jessie says, petting Skitty.
"Yes, it has to be somethin' all it does and vin and complain," James says.
Dr. Abby continues as she says, "Well, it does seem to be very tense, though it could be under some sort of pressure or perhaps a lot of stress."
Meowth says in thought, "Tell me about it. You try woiking wit Jessie for a while. Den you'll know stress."
"Veally? Imagine that," Jessie says and puts a green collar around Skitty.
And James, "Stressed? Zat couldn't be," and puts a green collar around Johnny.
"Well, either way, I know how to fix it," Dr. Abby says and massages Meowth's neck.
Meowth feels very relaxed, "Meowth: Meow-wow!"
"This should release all your tension," Dr. Abby says.
Meowth is so relaxed that he accidentally says, "Dat's good. Now, a little bit lower and to da right."
"Okay," Dr. Abby says.
Jessie and James flinch to hear Meowth talk. This causes everyone to be shocked and surprised to hear Meowth talk. Even Dr. Abby is shocked.
Realizing his mistake, Meowth shakes his head and covers his mouth, "Who said that?"
"You've blown our cover, Meowth!" James says.
Jessie points out, "So did you!"
"Just who are you and what are you up to?" Dr. Abby demands.
And with that, Team Rocket performs their motto. As usual.
Jessie:
Prepare for trouble and mind your Skitty.
James:
Make it double because this won't be pretty!
Jessie:
To protect the world from devastation.
James:
To unite all peoples within our nation.
Jessie:
To denounce the evils of truth and love.
James:
To extend our reach to the stars above.
Jessie: (removes her disguise)
Jessie.
James: (removes his disguise)
James.
Jessie:
Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light.
James:
Surrender now or prepare to fight, fight, fight.
Meowth:
Meowth! Dat's right!
Wobbuffet:
Woooobbuffet! (End of scene!)
"Team Rocket!" Mew and her friends exclaim.
Soon, Meowth says, "Maybe when dis battle is over, we can pick up where we left off wit dat massage, doctor?" wishing for more of the treatment.
Jessie shoves Meowth away, "Move it!" And throws her pokeball, "Go, Seviper! Use Haze!"
Seviper comes out and launches the attack, blinding our heroes long enough for Team Rocket to make their getaway.
May muffles, "My Skitty!"
"Johnny!" Dr. Abby calls out.
"Dr. Abby!" Brock cries out.
Soon, the Haze disappears to reveal Team Rocket, Skitty, and Johnny are gone.
"They're gone!" Mew says.
"And they took Skitty and Johnny with them," Molly says.
Soon, Zinnia spots the balloon, "Look! There's their balloon.
"They're getting away!" Mew says.
"After then!" Brock says.
Meanwhile, up above the treeline, Team Rocket flies away before the gang catches up.
"Let them go, Team Rocket! Or Else!" Mew calls out.
"Ha! Or what?" Jessie says in remark.
"Or you'll be sorry, that's what!" Mew says.
And Dr. Abby says, "Johnny doesn't take nicely to being captured!"
Johnny tries to ram through the side of the basket while he and Skitty were collared to one of the poles connecting the balloon to the basket.
"Hey, dere! Just settle down!" Mewoth calls out.
Johnny continues to ram the side of the basket.
James tries to calm Johnny, "Calm down. No reason to be so upset."
Johnny turns to them and prepares to fire an attack from its tail, worrying Team Rocket before it does so, firing it up through the balloon, destroying it and sending it falling fast.
"The balloon fell!" Mew cries out.
May calls out, "Hang on, Skitty!"
"Johnny!" Dr. Abby calls out.
The destroyed balloon falls down a canyon gorge and the leashes holding Skitty and Johnny break, but Skitty gets flung through the air while Johnny agilely and swiftly saves himself before he leaps and saves Skitty while Team Rocket hits the ground hard just as the gang shows up.
"Skitty!" May calls out.
"Johnny," Dr. Abby says.
"Looks like you're both okay," May says.
Soon, both cats get their collars removed.
Meowth comes out and shouts, "Hey! Give us back our Skitty set, now!"
"I told you guys, you were going to pay," May says.
Jessie then calls out, "Go, Seviper!"
"And you, too, Cacnea!" James says.
Soon, both Pokemon come out of their Pokeballs.
"I'll handle this," Mew says.
But Dr. Abby says, "Leave this one to me, Ashely. Johnny, go, now!"
Johnny leaps into battle
Jessie calls out, "Seviper, use Bite Attack!"
Seviper darts in
Dr. Abby calls out, "Johnny, dodge it!
Johnny does so by leaping off of Seviper's head.
Jessie calls out, "Use Wrap, Seviper!
Seviper recovers and attempts to put the squeeze on Johnny, only for Johnny to slip away at the last minute.
"Now Poison Tail!" Jessie calls out.
But Dr. Abby says, "Johnny, Safeguard!"
Johnny creates a forcefield that saves himself from the oncoming Poison Tail.
"The legendary Coordinator strikes again," Max says.
James calls out, "Needle Arm Attack, Cacnea!"
Cacnea darts for the attack.
But Dr. Abby says, "Johnny, use Thunderbolt!"
Johnny launches the attack and then comes down on Seviper.
"Needle Arm, Cacnea!" James calls out.
But then Dr. Abby says, "Johnny, Solar Beam!
Cacnea charges in as Johnny charges up the Solar Beam, But the Solar Beam fires and sends it flying into a rock before the rock itself is destroyed.
"I can't believe that little Delcatty can use Solar Beam and Thunderbolt," May says.
"With attacks like that, you really don't want to make it mad," Max says.
"Well I say it's cool, Normal Type can perform varieties of attacks," Mew says.
"Which means Johnny can face pretty much any opponent," Brock says.
May is amazed, "Wow, Dr. Abby and Johnny are so amazing!"
Jessie then calls out, "Seviper, use Poison Tail!""
James also calls out, "Cacnea, use Needle Arm!"
Both Pokémon throw their attacks.
"Are they both attacking at once? Cheaters!" May says and tosses Skitty into the fray, "Tackle!"
Skitty's attack nails Cacnea, but it in turn gets hit hard by Seviper's Poison Tail, sending it flying back to May.
"Skitty!" May cries out
Dr. Abby then says, "May, try using Blizzard."
"But my Skitty can't do that," May says.
"Don't worry about that, you can teach it in no time, just watch," Dr. Abby says. Then calls out, "Johnny, Blizzard!"
Johnny then launches the attack and hits Cacnea hard.
"Whoa! That's an Ice Type Attack!" Brock says.
"And a very strong one!" Jen says.
"Awesome!" Max says.
May does feel sure, "My Skitty isn't like your Delcatty."

"Okay," May says. Then calls out, "Skitty, Blizzard!"
Skitty just looks at her, confused, discouraging May
Dr. Abby then says to Skitty, "Skitty, just watch what Johnny does and then imitate."
Dr. Abby calls out, "Johnny. Blizzard!"
Johnny begins to use the attack, but when Skitty tries, not much is launched.
"There, you're getting it now!" Dr. Abby says.
Jessie then calls out, "Seviper, get in there and Bite them!"
Seviper closes in.
Dr. Abby calls out, "Johnny, use Thunderbolt!"
Dr. Abby calls out, "Now, May."
Mays calls out to her Skitty, "Blizzard, Skitty!"
Skitty is able to perform Blizzard and Seviper hard.
May cheers, "Alright! We did it! We did it!"
"That's the way, you two," Dr. Abby says.
Jessie then calls out, "Poison Tail again, Seviper!"
"Cacnea, Needle Arm!" James calls out.
Both Pokémon charge
Dr. Abby calls out, "Johnny…"
"Skitty…" May calls out.
Then they both say, "Double Blizzard!"
They both fire the attack, hit and freeze Seviper and Cacnea solid before they go flying into Team Rocket before the ice shatters on impact, freeing them.
Mew then calls out, "Now, Pikachu, Eevee, use Thunderbolt!"
Both Pikachu and Eevee perform the attack, and create an explosion, sending Team Rocket flying.
"Looks like we ain't gonna have that rare Skitty set to give to da boss," Meowth says, teary eyes.
Then James says, "Hey Meowth, since he already has a Persian, we'll just send you, then he'll have a set.
Meowth angrily says, "Never say Persian!"
Jessie giggles, "Oooh, somebody's cranky. I guess your little massage has wore off."
"Woooobbuffet! (Aaaah, shut up!) Wobbuffet cries out.
Meowth cries out, "Next time I'm blasting off alone!"
"Oh no, you aren't!" Jessie and James say.
And soon, Team Rocket is gone.
"Delcatty is such a cool Pokémon," Mew says.
"And it's obviously been very well trained," Brock says.
"I guess that's why you're a legend," Max says.
"I wouldn't say that," Dr. Abby says.
Then May says, "You know something? I think I'll use Skitty in my next Pokémon Contest."
"That sounds like a great idea, May," Dr. Abby says with a smile.
Later, at the clinic.
"Thanks for everything, Dr. Abby," Mew says.
"Yeah. We came here to get Skitty's voice fixed, and it ended up learning Blizzard," May says.
But Dr. Abby says, "Actually, it's your Skitty that deserves all the credit."
"And you too, May," Max says.
May giggles as Skitty meows in agreement.
Brock then says, "I hope someday I'll have that special special touch with Pokémon like you."
"I know you're going to become a great breeder, Brock," Dr. Abby says.
"Thanks. The way you heal Pokémon through massage was a great example for us," Brock says.
Everyone agrees.
"Well, I guess we should get going," Mew says.
Everyone takes their leave and says goodbye to Johnny and Dr. Abby.
Dr. Abby says goodbye, "It was great to meet you all. Bye!"
Johnny also says, "Mroooowwwl! (Bye!)
May says to Skitty, "Isn't this cool, Skitty? With your new Blizzard attack, I just know we're going to get that ribbon," and tosses Skitty up, "Alright!"

With her Skitty now having learned to use Blizzard, May is full of confidence as she and the others head for Verdanturf Town and May's next Pokémon Contest.
