Episode 65: Disaster of Disguise

One day, Drew is in a Pokemon battle against a mysterious caped person wearing a mask that looks like a Dusclops and has a top hat. Roselia is now on the ground and is feeling exhausted while the caped trainer's Dusclops is still standing.

"Drat. Now what?" Drew says, frustrated.

"With the reputation you have as a Pokémon Coordinator, Drew, I would've thought you'd put up a better fight. Now it's time to finish you off!" The masked person says, sounding determined.

Then calls out, "Dusclops, Shadow Punch!"

Dusclops throws the attack.

Drew calls out, "Dodge it, Roselia!"

But it's too late as the attack hits Roselia.

The caped trainer chuckles and calls out, "Will-O-Wisp!"

Dusclops sends a blue ball of fire at Roselia, which strikes and sends Roselia flying back to Drew.

Drew rushes over, "Are you alright, Roselia?"

The wind suddenly picks up

"If this had been a Contest Battle, you'd be almost out of points already, Drew," the trainer says and laughs.

When the wind dies down, the trainer and his Dusclops have disappeared. Drew looks around for his opponent, but there isn't a trace.

"He's gone! But how?" Drew asks, shocked.

Time has passed, and Mew and her friends have finally arrived in Verdanturf Town for the contest being held there. Of course, Nay is very excited about winning her Second Ribbon. Soon, the gang enters the Pokemon Center.

"Well, we finally made it," Mew says.

"Yeah. We're at Verdanturf Town," May says.

Soon, Max looks off to his right, "Hey, look at that."

Everyone looks and sees Drew giving his Roselia to Nurse Joy.

"I hope you can help it, Nurse Joy," Drew says.

May approaches Drew, "Drew. I knew you'd be here."

Drew turns to see May and her friends, "Oh, hello, May."

"I take it you'll be entering the big contest tomorrow?" Brock asks.

"I was, but not anymore," Drew answers.

Everyone looks and sees Roselia beaten and battered.

"What's wrong with Roselia?" May asks, worried.

"What happened?" Mew asks, worried.

"It got hurt battling," Drew answers.

"Really?" Jen asks.

Then Drew says, "I don't think Roselia will be healed in time for the Contest tomorrow. Guess I'll have to skip this one."

May was taken aback

Drew then turns to the others, "And here's a bit of advice for you all; watch out for a masked Coordinator who goes by the name Phantom," and walks out of the Pokemon Center.

"Phantom?" May questions.

May soon heads outside and says, "Time to practice!"

"I can't believe there's a Coordinator that's stronger than Drew," Molly says.

"Yeah. I know what you mean. I wonder who this Phantom is," Mew wonders

Ash: If I knew where this Phantom guy was, I'd challenge him myself.

Meanwhile, not far away, Team Rocket is in town and ready to battle.

Jessie says to the boys, "Listen up, you two, we keep losing because we're out of shape, so starting today, we're going to exercise."

"Meowth: Whaaat?" The guys questions.

"You must be joking," James says.

": Especially you, flabby," Jessie says, pointing to James, "Pushups and sit-ups, maybe even some actual sweat, will do us some good."

"I don't sweat," Meowth points out.

Then Jessie says, "For Dustox and I to win the Contest tomorrow, we've got to get this team into shape!"

"I'm actually happy with my shape," James says.

And Meowth says, "Yeah, why not woik out wit Dustox?"

"Here we go. Jumping Jacks!" Jessie says.

James looks to his right and says, "Hey! Look whose here!"

Jessie and Meowth look to see Mew and the gang.

"The twerps!" Jessie says.

Back to Mew and the others.

May calls out, "Go, Skitty! Come on out and take the stage!"

And Skitty comes out, but immediately starts chasing its tail.

Then Mew says, "Hey May, you don't mind if My Delcatty trains with you."

"Sure. The more the merrier," May says.

She then asks, "Are you planning to enter with Delcatty?"

"I'm trying to decide on whether to enter this contest or not, and I might go with Delcatty, or let Eevee do it," Mew says.

"You and Eevee have practiced on the way here," May says.

Then Mew says, "Come on out, Delcatty!"

And Delcatty comes out

May says to Skitty, "The Pokémon Contest is tomorrow, Skitty, and we can win if we try."

Skitty immediately stops and looks at May.

Then May asks, "So, why don't we try your new Blizzard attack?"

Skitty launches the attack, blowing super cold air and snow at Brock and the others.

"Skitty, not like that!" May cries out.

Skitty stops the attack,

Frazzled, May says, "Well, good job. We don't need to work on your Blizzard after all."

"Yeah. She certainly got Blizzard down," Mew says.

Delcatty takes an interest and begins to blow out, but nothing happens at first. He tries again and creates a small blow of cold air.

"Hey look, your Delcatty is trying to use Blizzard," May says.

"Cool," Mew says.

Then asks, "Hey Delcatty, you wanna learn how to use Blizzard?"

Delcatty meows, meaning yes.

"Then let's start," Mew says.

Soon, May gets out the juggling balls.

Then says to Skitty, "Okay, next, these balls will be a good way to practice your Double Slap. I'll toss them to you one at a time and you'll juggle them. Remember? Just the way Dr. Abby taught you at her clinic."

May has a brief flashback to that moment

"So, Skitty, are you ready?" May asks.

Skitty meows to confirm.

May tosses the two balls, "Double Slap, go!"

Skitty easily juggles the balls

"You're doing great. Now here comes the third one," May says, then tosses the third ball.

Skitty starts juggling the third one with the first two.

"Perfect! Here come two more!" May says.

However, Skitty ends up dropping all three of them.

"Oh, well," May says. She then snaps her fingers, "What's say we give it a few more tries?"

"Blizzard, Delcatty!" Mew calls out.

Delcatty performs Blizzard, and it's better than the last attempt.

"You're doing great, Delcatty! Let's try it once more!" Mew says.

Delcatty then performs Blizzard and is able to create a powerful Blizzard of strong effect.

"Nice job, Mew. You too, Delcatty," May says.

"Thanks," Mew says.

Delcatty meows.

As the gang talks, Team Rocket watches from behind a trash can.

Jessie scoffs, "That whole juggling routine is so standard. Once Dustox and I enter that contest, we'll wipe the floor with both of them."

As Jessie talks, a boy watches from afar. The boy has brown hair, brown eyes, and fair skin, and wears a white button up shirt and pants.

Meanwhile, Skitty manages to juggle three balls, just like before.

"You got it now!" May says.

"Alright, then, you keep on juggling those and I'll just throw you a few more," May says, holding the other balls, "Okay? Here they come," and tosses another ball, followed by another, which Skitty manages to juggle.

Skitty tries to put a little spin into the act, but ends up losing its balance and drops the balls.

"Or not," May says, dejected.

"Maybe it's best to use a few balls," Max says.

"Well, you never know until you try," May says.

Mew and Delcatty walk over, "That's the spirit. Delcatty and I are going to be practicing with Blizzard."

"And I see Delcatty is doing a great job," May says.

Suddenly, a gust of wind blows in.

"What's going on?" Zinnia asks.

May looks and finds Phantom standing before her, chuckling.

He then says, "You, with the Skitty. Planning to enter the Contest tomorrow?"

Then turns to Mew, "And you with the Delcatty. Are you planning on entering?"

"That must be Phantom, the masked Coordinator Drew told us about," Tomo says.

"What's it to you if I am?" May questions.

"I'm debating about it, but I might enter with Delcatty," Mew says.

Phantom says, "I, The Phantom, have but one purpose wherever I go, and that's to battle."

As Phantom finishes his sentence, the wind dies down

"Yeah? Well, if it's a battle you want, I'll give you one!" Mew says.

Eevee and Delcatty agree.

Jessie questions, "Now who's this clown?"

"I don't know, but he is a sharp dresser," James says.

"Didn't that kid say his name is Phantom?" Meowth asks.

Phantom says, "You seem very sure of yourself, I like that. There's not much fun in defeating a spineless opponent who knows he's gonna lose."

"Alright, I'll be the judge for this match," Brock says.

"We'll battle under Contest rules, which means we'll have one Pokémon each and a strict time limit of five minutes," Phantom says.

"Sounds fair to me," Mew says, "I'm going to let Eevee battle."

"And as for me, come on out, Dusclops!" The Phantom says.

He then calls out his Dusclops.

"It's a Dusclops," Max says.

"Like the one Butler had," Molly adds.

"Let's see," May says and brings out her Pokedex.

Dextette says, "Dusclops, the Beckon Pokémon. A Ghost Type. Dusclops is said to be able to suck practically anything into its body, the black hole-like core of which is completely empty."

Mew calls out, "Alright Eevee, let's start with Quick Attack!"

Eevee darts around Dusclops.

"Smart move, Ashley knows that Dusclops is strong against Normal Types," Max says.

"Our turn!" Phantom says, "Go, Dusclops, Shadow Punch!"

Dusclops tries to attack.

"Eevee, dodge!" Mew calls out.

Eevee dodges in the nick of time and tries to dodge multiple punches.

"Float like a Butterfree, sting like a Beedrill," Phantom says.

"Whoa. They're good," Jen says.

"Eevee's gotta fight back or she won't stand a chance," May calls out.

"That Dusclops is strong, but that Phantom Coordinator is no slouch either," Brock says.

"Hang in there, Eevee!" Max calls out.

"Eevee, Quick attack!" Mew calls out.

Eevee charges in.

"Now, use Bite!" Mew calls out.

Eevee then performs a powerful Bite. Dusclops shakes its hand and manages to shake Eevee off. Eevee lands on the ground.

Phantom chuckles, "It's time now to end this sad little charade. Dusclops, finish it off with…"

But before the Phantom could finish his command, a car horn honks before he looks and sees a Rolls-Royce limo driving up to the park entrance.

"Oh, no. Not now!" Rhantom panics, and calls back his Pokemon "Return, Dusclops!"

Dusclops is recalled.

Mew is confused, "Huh, what's going on?"

"The five minute time limit hasn't expired yet!" Brock calls you.

"We'll call it a draw. Until next time!" Phantom says before running off.

"Hey, wait!" Mew calls out.

As the Phantom runs, the wind picks up again, obscuring his getaway and blinding everyone, even Team Rocket.

"Why would he quit when he was winning?" Jessie asks.

"Where'd he go?" Tomo asks.

Soon, the Rolls-Royce limo comes to a screeching halt and a middle-aged woman steps out. The woman has short burgundy colored hair with bluish eyes, wears a purple dress and reddish purple jacket.

"Huh?" The group replies, confused.

"Oh, no, you don't. I've got you now!" The woman says and runs after him "You're not getting away from me this time! Come back here!"

Everyone sees the woman trying to chase down the Phantom.

"Does anyone know what's going on?" May asks.

"I have no idea," Mew answers.

"Got to get outta here," the Phantom says and pushes a branch away, tearing his glove.

Now I've got you!" The woman calls out.

The Phantom runs again

"Get back here!" The woman says and trips, "Darned heels."

Everyone rushes up to check on the lady, who actually grabbed something on the ground as she got up.

"Wait, what's this?" The woman wonders.

Mew asks, "Are you okay, ma'am?"

The woman turns to see the gang, "Huh? Oh, I'll be alright. Although, you aren't going to be if I find out your friends with that lousy masked Coordinator."

"We're not friends of his," Brock says.

The woman refuses to listen, "Stop playing dumb! What have you done to my son, Timmy?!" She then grabs Brock and shakes him, "Tell me! Tell me! Tell me!"

"Ma'am, you need to calm down!" Mew panics.

"Yeah. We never even met or heard of this Phantom until now," Zinnia adds.

"Oh," The woman says and stops shaking Brock.

"Yeah. He appeared out of nowhere and wanted to battle us," May says.

"And we heard about it from another trainer when we first got here," Tomo says.

The woman giggles, "I'm sorry. No hard feelings?"

"Um sure," Jen replies.

"If you don't mind me asking, who's this Timmy you were talking about?" Mew wonders.

The woman says in tears, "Never mind, I'll be okay."

"Are you sure? You seem upset?" Mew asks.

And with that, the woman explains, "Oh, alright. I'll tell you the whole story. Timmy is my only child."

The woman soon has a flashback to a previous event.

Flashback:

She explains, "Lately, he's been skipping school, so I hired a private investigator to follow him and find out where he's been going. He noticed that everywhere Timmy went, this strange Phantom character appeared."

Flashback ends:

She explains, "It seems obvious that this Phantom seems to have lured my son into some kind of dangerous activities."

"I see why you're so upset," Brock says.

Then the woman asks, "You're all Pokémon trainers, right?"

"That's right. May and I are Coordinators, and I'm also a trainer," Mew says.

"Then I want you all to help me find out the identity of this Phantom guy," The woman says.

"Really? You want us to find him and remove his mask?" Mew asks.

"Yes. I'll reward you, of course. Money is no object," The woman says.

"Well, we can certainly try to help," Mew says, "What's your name?"

"It's Grimm," The woman says.

As Mrs. Grimm spoke, Team Rocket spied from afar.

"Her name may be Grimm, but her hardware says glam! Dat's some major bling-bling going on," Mew says.

"And she'll pay anyone who unmasks The Phantom Coordinator? It'll be a piece of cake!" James says.

"A 24 karat cake!" Jessie says and lets out a sigh, "And as we all know, a gorgeous woman like me deserves to be decked out in gorgeous jewels like those. I'm sure you two loyal teammates of mine, would love for me to have them."

James and Meowth both sigh and sweat drop.

"Why me? Meowth responds.

"Woooobbu! (Leeeeeet's go!) Wobbuffet says.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Grimm takes the gang to the Grimm Family home, a mansion.

"This is my humble home," Mrs. Grimm says.

They soon enter the foyer.

Mrs. Grimm calls out, "Timmy! I'm home!"

Meanwhile, up in Timmy's room, he was tending to a minor scratch on his hand, the same scratch the Phantom got when he was retreating, indicating that Timmy was indeed The Masked Phantom Coordinator.

"I have to make some notes about that Eevee I battled today," Timmy says and puts his hand in his pocket, "It was pretty tough," But realizes something, "Uh oh. What's going on? Where's my pen? Did I drop it?

Mrs. Grimm calls out, "Timothy!"

Timmy soon comes downstairs to meet his mother, "Mom. When did you get home? I was upstairs in my room studying before you got back."

"Everyone, this is my son, Tim," Mrs. Grimm says.

Mew says, "Hi I'm Ashley from Pallet Town."

Pikachu and Eevee say Hello.

"My name is May," May says.

Then Max says, "Hi, I'm Max."

"My name's Brock," Brock says.

"I'm Zinnia," Zinnia says.

"I'm Tomo," Tomo says.

Meloetta and Skwovet say hello.

"I'm Molly," Molly says.

"And I'm Jen," Jen says.

Amaura also says hello.

"Nice to meet you all. Now, if you don't mind, I have to return to my studies," Timmy says, before turning away.

But Mrs. Grimm stops him, "Hold on. You wouldn't happen to be missing something, now, would you?"

This shocked him, "Where'd you find my fountain pen? I've been looking all over the house for it."

"I know it's yours, so explain to me why I found it where I chased the Phantom down in the woods in the park today," Mrs. Grimm says.

Timmy: The Phantom had it?!" Timmy asks.

"So you're saying he stole it from you? Mrs. Grimm asks.

"It's not like that," Timmy says.

"Then what is it like? There's something going on here," Mrs. Grimm sternly says.

"I don't know, Mom. I guess I dropped it!" Timmy panics.

Mrs. Grimm then demands, "Tell me the truth, Timmy! Why is the Phantom always where you are?"

"I don't know. Just give it back, please?" Timmy says and grabs the pen before his mother notices the Band-Aid.

Mrs. Grimm asks, shocked, "What's that? What happened to your hand?"

Timmy pulls his hands and his pen away

"Ah! Timmy-" Mrs. Grimm says, shocked.

"I'll be in my room, okay?" Timmy says and heads to his room.

Seeing her run off, Mrs. Grimm says, "Oh, son, you're frightening me."

Mew and the others have been watching and notice the tension between them.

Not long after, Mew and the others are sitting Mrs. Grimm in her living room.

Mrs. Grimm is worried, "Mrs. Grimm: Timmy has a wound on his hand in the same spot as the Phantom. And he got so upset when I asked him about it. Could it be that the Phantom and my Timmy are the same person?"

"Well, it's to say to be honest," Mew says.

"She's right. Just because they both have cuts in the same place doesn't prove anything, Mrs. Grimm," Brock says.

"Plus the Phantom seemed strong," Max says.

"Yeah. He sure knows what he's doing," Tomo says.

"Is Timmy that good?" Molly asks.

"That's true, he looked like he could be an awesome Coordinator," May says.

Then Zinnia asks, "Has your son been studying to become a Pokémon trainer?"

"Or has any Pokemon with him that can give us an idea?" Mew asks.

Mrs. Grimm quickly answers, "Of course not, Timmy is going to be a brilliant executive and take over my company. I'd never let him waste time on that nonsense."

"Nonsense?" Mew questions with a frown.

Then Brock says, "You can learn some important lessons from interacting with Pokémon, Mrs. Grimm."

"Enough from you! Your job is to find out who that Phantom really is! I have work to do, and don't come back until you have some information," Mrs. Grimm says angrily and takes her leave.

When she's gone, the guys are relieved.

"Sheesh. I sure am glad she isn't my mom," Max says.

"She does seem a little bit bossy," Brock says.

"Especially on how clear she is about Pokemon," Tomo says.

"I almost feel sorry for Timmy. He doesn't look happy," May says.

Soon, someone speaks up, "You're right. He's really not a happy boy?"

Everyone turns to see a middle aged man with darkish hair, brown eyes, and wears a white shirt, red necktie, and teal vest. That startles the group

"Who are you?" Mew asks.

"I'm Timmy's father. Tommy Grimm is my name," The man answers.

"So then, you must be Mrs. Grimm's husband?" Zinnia asks.

Everyone came a bit closer to hear what Mr. Grimm had to say.

Tommy Grimm says, "I heard what my wife asked of you. I can probably help you solve this little mystery."

"So you know who the Phantom is?" Zinnia asks.

"Well…" Tommy says.

Tommy brings out the Phantom's costume, to the shock of everyone.

"Or are you telling us all this time the Phantom was you?" Jen asks, shocked.

"I don't think so, this costume is too old," Brock says, looking at the costume.

"And the Phantom we met was a lot younger. I say he's around May's age," Zinnia says.

"Yeah, you're right about that," Max says.

Then Tommy explains, "Allow me to explain; when I was a younger man I was quite a good Pokémon Coordinator, see."

Tommy soon has a flashback to years prior to Tommy's birth.

Tommy explains, "When I met my future wife, I fell instantly in love with her. It seemed as though we were perfect for each other. Except for one thing. She hated Pokémon."

Tommy remembered one time when he and his future wife were on a date and she acted mean towards a wild Torchic.

"She agreed to marry me only if I promised never to allow any Pokémon in the house. But I loved Pokémon so much, I couldn't keep my promise," Tommy says.

The flashback shows the first night Tommy donned the Phantom Coordinator costume.

Tommy then says, "I made this Dusclops costume and whenever I was out of my wife's sight, I'd put it on, and enter Pokémon contests as The Phantom, but eventually keeping such a dark secret from my wife became too much."

As Tommy continues, his flashback shows when he put his costume in a massive armoire, never to be worn again.

"I gave up being the Phantom and hid the costume away forever. Or so I thought, because when Timmy was born, it turned out he took after me. He loved Pokémon too," Tommy adds.

The flashback soon shows Timmy bringing a lonely Duskull home after finding it

Timmy notices the Duskull, "Huh? A Duskull. Hey, little guy. Hmm, are you lost?"

Tommy explains, "One day Timmy came across a lost, frightened Duskull and he brought it home to our mansion. You can guess how his mother reacted to that."

The flashback shows Mrs. Grimm barring Tommy's way into the house as he carried the Duskull there.

"Get rid of that pest!" Mrs. Grimm demands.

Timmy tries to reason with her, "But, Mom, it'll be all alone."

Mrs. Grimm is not hearing it, "You heard what I said, Timmy. You need to be spending your time studying, not fooling around with those pathetic creatures. Especially ones that look like someone just died and came back as a ghost!" and walks back into the house.

"But, Mother…" Timmy says, worried.

Tommy explains, "Feeling powerless and crushed that he wasn't allowed to interact with the Pokémon he loved so much, Timmy seemed to lose confidence in all areas of his life. I knew I had to do something to help him."

The flashback soon shows Tommy giving Timmy his old Phantom Coordinator costume.

"Huh?" Timmy replies, confused.

Tommy says, "Hey, Timmy, I've got a present here for you."

"Really? Thanks, but what is it, Dad?" Timmy asks, and takes the costume.

"I made a new costume just like the original and Timmy became the second person to take up the mantle of Phantom the Masked Coordinator," Tommy says.

Flashback ends:

"Wow, so that's what's going on," Mew says.

"Now, Timmy has his confidence back when he's the Phantom and he's become a pretty good Pokémon Coordinator too," Tommy says.

And Max says, "Boy, it must've been pretty hard for Timmy all that time, never being allowed to play with Pokémon like other kids."

"And Timmy would never be allowed to go off on a journey like you kids have," Tommy says, "So you can imagine that for Timmy, the Pokémon Contest coming to town is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I would love for him to enter, but I just don't know."

"Well, maybe there's somethin' we can do to help out," Mew says.

"I'll help, tell me," Tommy says.

Sawako: So will I.

Meanwhile, up in Timmy's room.

Timmy looks at his bandage and back at his costume, "I hope mom didn't guess the truth."

Soon, there's a knock at the door.

"Huh?" Timmy responds.

Tommy calls out, "Son, you have some company."

Mew peeks in, "Hi Timmy."

"Hi there!" Tomo says.

Timmy panics, "Ah! Dad, no!" And tries to hide the costume.

But Tommy says, "It's alright. You don't have to hide anything from these guys. They're your friends."

"What? My friends?" Timmy replies.

"Are you serious? Well, if you knew me, then you'd know I'll do anything to enter that contest," Timmy says.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Grimm was riding in her Rolls-Royce limo, until it came to a stop and she saw a young girl being given her first Pokémon, a Poochyena, for a pet.

The girl happily says, "Oh, Mommy, thank you so much."

Mrs. Grimm turns her head, "Hmm?"

"You're welcome. I'm glad you like it, honey. But it's your responsibility to take good care of it," The mother says and pets the Pokemon.

The girl happily says, " I will, Mommy. I promise.

"Well, Poochyena, looks like from now on, you're part of the family," The mother says.

The Poochyena yips in agreement as Mrs. Grimm sighs, and something seems to be bothering her.

Meanwhile, at the Grimm family mansion…

Max calls out, "Now, May! Here she comes!"

"Okay, Skitty, use Double Slap to juggle!" May says.

Skitty meows in agreement

One, two, three!" May says and tosses the balls as she calls out the numbers.

Skitty manages to juggle all three while Cadel watches.

"Alright, that's it, just keep em in the air," May says.

"Nice," Mew says.

Soon, Mrs. Grimm returns home and gets out of the car, but before she can say anything, a gust of wind blows in and a laugh is heard.

Then a voice is heard, "You two down there! Care to have a battle against me?"

"It's him again! The Phantom!" Mrs. Grimm says.

"Phantom the Masked Coordinator, if you don't mind, ma'am," The voice says and chuckles.

Mew and May look up to see the Phantom, as does Mrs. Grimm, but little did Mrs. Grimm knows that it's Brock under the guise of The Phantom.

"Oh no!" May cries out.

The others all come out at once, essentially hearing their cue.

"Hey what's wrong?" Zinnia asks.

"Don't look now, guys, but we've got company!" Mew says.

"The Phantom is back again!" Max says.

Soon, Tommy and his son come out of the house

"What's all this about The Phantom?" Tommy says.

Mrs. Grimm is confused, "But, wait a minute! I was sure you were the Phantom, Timmy!"

"Mom, are you feeling alright?" Timmy asks, confused.

"That's just crazy talk, dear," Tommy says.

Mrs. Grimm just stammered, unsure what to think or say. The gang wink and see the plan is working.

"If no one is willing to battle me, then I'll leave," Brock the Phantom says.

As he does so, a fishing line hooks to the mask and tries to pull

"Hey! What's going on?!" Brock demands and makes sure the mask is on, "Let go of my mask.

And the Team Rocket motto kicks in, revealing them in their hot air balloon.

Jessie:

Prepare for trouble, Phantom, for you'll be exposed.

James:

Make it double, because you'll be disposed.

As Jessie and James talk, the others soon see Team Rocket trying to pull their line to remove Brock's mask.

Jessie:

To protect the world from masked devastation.

James:

To unite all peoples under our unhidden nation.

Jessie:

To denounce the evils of truth and love.

James:

To extend our reach to the stars above.

"Team Rocket?!" Jen explains.

"What are you doing with that fishing line?!" May demands.

"Simple, we've hooked the Phantom's mask and now we're going to reveal him and collect our reward!" Jessie says.

Mew faceplams, "Of course you would do something like that."

"Those are really odd people," Mrs. Grimm says, dumbfounded.

"Really weird," Timmy says.

"No kidding," Mew replies, "And in case you're wondering, they're a bunch of crooks who follow us everywhere we go."

"Sounds like a big pain," Mrs. Grimm says.

"You have no idea," Mew says.

Jessie then calls out, "Seviper, go!"

Seviper comes out.

Then James calls out, "Cacnea, you attack, too!"

Cacnea comes out, but hugs James instead.

James cries out, "No, no, no! Not me! Attack the Phantom! Let me go! Ow! That hurts!"

Jessie calls out, "Seviper, wrap that Phantom up and make sure he doesn't escape!"

Brock tries to escape but winds up running out in plain view of everyone before Seviper coils around him.

"Get this thing off of me!" Brock cries out.

Everyone gasps in shock

"Now tear off dat mask and reveal da Phantom!" Mewoth calls out.

"One unmasked Tuxedo Mask imposter coming up!" James says.

James pulls with all his might, though Brock struggles against him.

"I got to hang on!" Brock says.

Timmy calls out, "Ashley, you got to help him!

"I can't do anything, if I call for a Thunderbolt, I'll hurt The Phantom," Mew says.

"Come on James, pull it off," Jessie and Meowth call out.

James tries but the mask is not coming off.

"What did he do? Glue it on to his head?" Jessie asks.

"Pull it harder!" Meowth cries out.

"I'm trying!" James cries out, "Cacnea do something!"

Cacnea leaps down toward Brock.

May then says, "Oh, no, you don't! Skitty, Blizzard!"

Skitty launches the attack and blows Seviper, Cacnea and Brock away.

Mew charges, "I'm coming, Phantom!"

Then calls out, "Quick, Elgym, use Psychic!"

Mew calls out her Elgyum that comes out and uses Psychic to save Brock, and gently places him on the ground.

Brock stands on the ground, feeling a bit dizzy with his mask barely on as Mrs. Grimm goes to investigate and her husband goes to investigate.

"Now she knows our secret. Everything's ruined," Tommy says.

Meanwhile, Seviper and Cacnea come falling towards Team Rocket and their balloon.

Mew calls out, "Pikachu! Eevee! Finish it with Thunderbolt!"

Both Pokemon launch the attack and hits, though the electrical force snaps the webs, it blows Team Rocket's balloon, and Team Rocket, sky high.

"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off again!" Team Rocket cries out.

Down on the ground, Brock readjusts his mask.

The Phantom says, "I appreciate the help young lady. However, I must be off. I'll battle another day. Farewell," and runs off as he laughs, "The Phantom strikes again."

Mrs. Grimm is rather confused and dumbfounded.

"You okay, Mrs. Grimm?" Mew asks.

Mrs. Grimm turns to Mew, "Yes. I'm okay."

"It's too bad the Phantom got away," Molly says.

"Yeah. We were close to catching him," Tomo says.

"Yeah. I hope to battle him," Mew says.

"We'll never know the true identity of the Phantom," May says.

"At least we know it's not you, Timmy," Jen says.

"Guess you're right," Timmy says.

Tommy says in thought, "It's no good. She must've seen Brock's face, his mask was barely on."

But Mrs. Grimm says, "Of course it's not Timmy. I was silly to think that it was my own son. Anyway, I think it's best to get back to work," and head into the house.

"Could it be? Did the plan work and she doesn't think Timmy's the Phantom?" Tommy responds in thought.

"Looks like the plan works," Zinnia says.

Brock comes over, "How we do?"

"I think it worked," Mew says.

"Alright," Borck says and removes the mask, "Then you're in the clear."

"That's so great! Thank you, guys!" Timmy says.

"Well, Timmy, maybe we'll see each other in the Contest tomorrow.

"Yep. And I plan to win it all, May," Timmy says.

"Yeah? Well, we don't plan on losing. Right, Skitty?" May says.

Skitty meows in agreement.

Then turns to Mew, "Hey Ashley, are you planning on entering the contest tomorrow? It will give me a chance to finish our last battle with Eevee.

Mew thinks a bit and says, "Sure. But just so you know, I don't plan on holding back." Then turns to Eevee, "It's going to be you and me, Eevee."

"Eevee!" (Yeah!) Eevee says.

"Well, me neither," May says.

With the plan worked, Timmy is in the clear and is able to live his dream of entering the Pokemon Contest. With Mew, May, and Timmy entering, who will win. Only at the contest will tell.
