It's been nearly four years since the end of the Night Howler incident. With the election around the corner and a series of deaths, tensions are at an all-time high. The ZPD is on the case. But when an unexpected encounter goes horribly wrong, four members of the police department find themselves on a collision course with another case. One so big it threatens to topple the city.

The unthinkable happened. Betrayal of the worst kind. Anger is on the menu. And vengence. Time is the key, and Nick has always played the long game. He has no key now, but he will. And everyone will pay. No one takes away his bunny.

Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde were assigned together for a year and been through a lot together. Though both are inseparable, their friendship will be attested throughout the story.

Fortunately for them, the Special Activities Division (SAD) has taken interest in the plant, and has been sent in to clean up the mess that Judy made.

Following the arrest of Bellwether and Nick's graduation from the police academy, Judy and Nick begin to work as partners at Precinct 1. But a new threat has begun to grow in the shadows and will soon threaten to undermine everything Zootopia stands for. Will the bunny and fox be able to face this new threat? Or will it tear the city and them apart?
