Jayne sat at Kelly's, Chase had just told her he was moving into the Quartermaines so that they could help with Violet. She was disappointed but got it. Genuinely, Violet had to come first right now. Besides, they weren't in a relationship. She was messing with her food when JJ walked up to her.

"Are you doing alright?" He asked her, he could tell something was bothering her.

Jayne nodded. She didn't want to get into it. "Please sit. Tell me how you are adjusting to Port Charles."

JJ took a seat. "Great, I really like it here. Your father is doing a great job cleaning it up."

"He is, isn't he? I'm very proud of him. I am very proud I come from him." Jayne had an ease to her that she had never in the whole time JJ knew her.

"You know I like this Jayne even more than the one I knew before, and I was cra...fond of her. Finding out that they are your parents has really brought you peace, hasn't it?" JJ couldn't stop smiling as he looked at her. He still cared so much for her, but more than anything, he just wanted to be a good friend to her.

Jayne smiled at him. "It definitely has. I was always looking for something before, feeling like I wasn't enough for...well anyone and now I have these supportive parents and this amazing family, some not even blood but they'll always be there for me."

"I know how much you wanted that before." JJ replied, remembering how she just longed to not feel so alone. "I really did want to give that to you."

Jayne looked up at him, looking into his eyes. "In a way you did. You were the one person who..."

Just then, Robert, Holly, and Robin walked inside. Jayne could tell Robin was having a hard time. She got up and went and gave her sister a hug. No words, just letting her know she was there.

"We were just about to get some ice cream. Would you care to join us? You too, JJ?" Holly asked.

JJ looked at Jayne to make sure she would be okay with it.

"I would love to, and I would love if you joined us JJ." Jayne said as she kept a hold of Robin.

Robin looked at her younger sister and whispered. "Details, later. I insist."

The four of them went and sat with JJ, bringing some more chairs around the table.
