JJ woke up the next morning, holding Jayne's hand. Someone was tapping him on the shoulder. He looked over it and saw Patrick.

"Hey man, do you want to go grab a cup of coffee? My daughter, Jayne's niece, can sit with her." Patrick asked.

JJ looked over and saw Emma, who waved. "Yeah." He kissed Jayne's hand, then her head. "I'll be right back."

JJ and Patrick left the room as Emma went over to her aunts side. "Oh, he's cute, Aunt Jayne."

Jayne's Mind

Flashback to Jayne and JJ's second meeting

Jayne was sitting at a little cafe, drinking some tea as she worked on some work. She hated the paperwork aspect of any job.

JJ walked in and was caught by surprise. Did he actually just find his mystery movie date from the other night. He approached her table. "Jayne?"

Jayne looked up at him, unsure how to react. "JJ, what are you doing here?" She asked.

"I came to get a cup of coffee, maybe splurge a little and grab a muffin." JJ looked at the seat. "May I?"

Jayne nodded. She was scared of this connection but at the same time wanted to be around him. "Please."

JJ sat down. "Can we talk about the other night?" He asked her.

"What about it?" Jayne asked as he eyes stayed locked with his.

"Oh, I don't know, the whole making out after the movie part." JJ's eyes were dancing with hers again.

"I've had it on my mind, too. You are a good kisser." Jayne admitted to him.

"So are you." JJ grinned at her.

"Look, I don't want anything serious..." Jayne told him, trying to be upfront from the start.

"I can't do serious with my job." JJ admitted, being an agent and having a family was a challenge.

"What are you? A gigolo? Am I going to have to pay you for that kiss the other night?" Jayne teased him.

"No, no, the popcorn was payment enough." JJ replied with a laugh. "I'm a WSB agent."

Jayne's face lit up, that sounded so cool. "No way! That has to be such a fascinating job!"

"I enjoy it." JJ loved seeing the way her eyes lit up.

"I wanted to be a cop, I love investigating but...but I'm a lawyer." Jayne still wasn't sure if she wanted to share her reasons for not doing it.

"That's a great job, too. My dad is a lawyer." JJ replied, feeling like this definitely was the start of something good.

End of Flashback

Patrick handed JJ a cup of coffee. "These muffins aren't too bad either." He handed him one.

JJ couldn't help but smile at this stranger who was looking out for him. "Did my grandmother or Holly put you up to this?"

Patrick shook his head. "Jayne's sister, my wife, Robin, suggested Emma go see her. I just am looking out for someone who means a great deal to my sister-in-law."

"I appreciate it. I'm JJ Kelly, by the way." JJ told him.

"Patrick Drake." Patrick replied as the two men say down to eat breakfast.

The Townhouse

Robert sat watching Holly sleep. He had to go to headquarters before going to see Jayne, but he couldn't tear himself away. It had been a rough night, but here she was looking so peaceful.

Holly stirred and looked at Robert. "Why aren't you at work?" She asked.

"I have more important things. Are you up to grabbing some breakfast, and I'll drop you off at the hospital? I'll come back once I finish up at work." Robert stroked her cheek and gave her a kiss.

Holly kissed him back and held him closer. "Yes, please make sure he doesn't walk."

"Oh no, sweetheart, this time we got him." Robert reassured her. The two of them ate breakfast before getting on with their days

PCPD

"Commissioner, Sonny's lawyer, is trying to say this behavior is because of his medicine being messed up." Chase hoped it wouldn't hold up but in this town? He wasn't sure.

"Bloody hell!" Robert wasn't about to let that slimeball walk."You ask them what the excuse was for the past decades?"
