"You watch your tone with me young lady or you will never see the outside world again. Everything you are is because of me." Alistair retorted, not about to let Robert or Holly take any credit for Jayne.
"Oh right, my issues are all because of you. Working through them is because of my real parents. You never even cared about me. I was some prize that you didn't even like to have around. Were you disappointed when I grew up to be honorable like my real father?" Jayne knew this would anger Alistair but she did not care.
"Your real father was off with the mother of his other child while your dear mother cried. Your real father is far from honorable." Alistair replied, in his eyes Robert had never been aa good man.
"He was off taking care of his other child, which yes did include helping her mother but that's all it was. Anna is a very nice person, her and mum get along wonderfully. Dad and her have a great friendship." Jayne was not about to let him talk about things that he clearly used to manipulate her mother.
"After she hurt your mother all those years ago?" Alistair wasn't letting it go.
"They are both so far past that, it was before I was even born. Who am I to hold it against Anna?" Jayne was determined to not let him make her doubt her family, which did include Anna. "They were grown ups about it because Robin needed them to be."
"You know Jayne, I'm very disappointed that you believe all their lies. I thought I raised you better than this." Alistair was frustrated, the fact that she wasn't just listening to him was tiring to him.
"Alistair you have to think. You didn't raise me, nannies did. You just would pay attention to me when you had to. Robert Scorpio is more of a father than you ever will be." Jayne stated with her whole heart, she loved her father.
Alistair gave her a disgusted look as he left the room.
Jayne realized she had let her temper get the best of her but she couldn't let him continue. She heard someone messing with the door and was ready for more of Alistair's garbage. "Just leave me alone!" She shouted.
Barry walked into the room, closing the door behind him. "Are you sure you want me to?"
"Barry!" Jayne jumped up and hugged him.
"Look we haven't got time for this. I can get you out of here but we have to work quick." Barry hadn't even discussed his plans with Holly, he just knew Jayne was in trouble and he had to help her.
"Just tell me what to do and I'll do it." Jayne told him, putting all her trust in the one person she counting on growing up.
