Seana eventually took off to play with the other kids. All of them were helping Rose bake cookies for Santa now.
Robert and Holly were sitting on their couch with Jayne nearby. "You know I thought last year was great but this year is even better. I've got JJ and Barry here too." Jayne told her parents.
"You know you deserve the absolute best, you always have." Robert told his younger daughter.
Ethan walked up and sat down. "Yes you do. I think we all do. It's been a busy year but a good one."
"Yes it has been." Holly smiled at Robert and hers only son. "I'm very proud of you. Watching you navigate being a father, seeing how Seana adores her father. It's something else."
"She's my world. I know her best friend is dad but we've got a bond that's very special." Ethan's face showed all the pride as he talked about his daughter.
"She's gotten so big, too. I can't believe it!" Emma smiled as she spoke of her little cousin.
"I remember when you were that little, causing mischief but being oh so adorable." Robert held onto those memories fondly.
"I'm sure you helped me just like you do Seana." Emma laughed as she wrapped her arm around Cameron's. "I hate to say goodnight but we wanted to go see Cam's family for a little bit before the night is over."
"We understand, Emma." Holly told her granddaughter.
Emma gave everyone hugs before her and Cameron left.
"They make a nice couple." Holly told Robin.
"They really do. I'm very happy for Emma, she deserves the best." Robin told her stepmother.
"Yes, she does. How do you feel about it, Patrick?" Robert asked his son-in-law.
"If he's good to her then I'm happy for her. Elizabeth is a wonderful mom and one of my closest friends. I know Cam is a good guy." Patrick didn't really think anyone was good enough for Emma but Cameron really was different.
Seana and Donna ran out with a cookie. "Grandpa, are these good enough?" Seana asked.
Robert grinned as he sat up, taking it into his hand and taking a bite. "These are wonderful. Do you care if Mrs. Claus has a bite too?"
Seana shook her head no and Robert gave Holly a bite.
"You know Rose might hire you two to work at Kelly's if you keep this up." Holly told the two little girls. Their faces lit up as they ran back into the kitchen.
