Chapter 7: Liyue Harbor

Last time on Boboiboy x Genshin impact, after the gang returned the Holy Lyre back to the cathedral. They have met Barbara, who's just gasped in shock because of the broken Holy Lyre. But Venti took and repaired it with his power into completely new. Then Barbara took it and left to the basement, Venti just revealed that his power is only creating an illusion so he left. But didn't go well. Suddenly, some Fatui showed up with the Lady named La Signora, she started freezing Venti and Boboiboy, and Lumine got caught by two Agents

After they got frozen by La Signora. Signora attacked Venti from his chest then took something called Gnosis. She even kicked Venti and was ready to leave but one of the Agents told her about Boboiboy. Lumine and Boboiboy reacted in shock because they knew Boboiboy is wielding seven elements from all nations so La Signora forced him to come with them to meet Cryo Archon named Tsaritsa but Boboiboy refuses and doesn't want them to take his elements or siblings away so he splits himself into three, The Original Trio and defeats them.

After the Original Trio defeated the Fatui, all left is La Signora. They told her to give them Venti's Gnosis back. But she makes an ice storm and escapes, also she asked him one question that did he consider himself as a God. After the Fatui incident, Lumine, Boboiboy, and Paimon met Venti at Windrise to ask him about Anemo Archon and other Archons too

Before they left, Venti has something to tell that is Boboiboy is not from here. He said there are six beings, who have come to planet Teyvat before him even their elements too. Boboiboy was shocked and realized what Venti said, those six beings were the true owners of his elements. After that, Boboiboy told him everything like Retak'ka, power spheras, his watch, etc. So Venti trusts him and his words

And the next day, the gang got invited to Tavern to celebrate but at the end of the party, Jean and the others have suspicions of him because he's hiding something that they didn't want to know so they asked him to tell the truth. Then Boboiboy started telling them everything about his life. He even told them everything like Power Spheras, his adventures even the traveling space, TAPOPS including the battle with Retak'ka expect the Fusion. So they know his secret and they will keep quiet and not tell everyone else

After two days, now they are ready for their next journey is Liyue. Lumine, Boboiboy, and Paimon waved goodbye to everyone that they know and left. Oh, Lumine just got a new Element is Geo. Now, she can uses Geo element

-Timeskip almost to Liyue Harbor-

It was a very long trip for them. They have finally made it to Liyue Harbor

"Is that Liyue? It looks pretty cool in the distance" Boboiboy complimented

"Look like we have made it. Come on, let's go" Lumine told them as they nodded and followed her to Liyue Harbor

-Liyue Harbor-

"Wow, this place looks a lot better in person!" Boboiboy was amazed while looking around

"It is definitely cool around in Liyue, plus the buildings and the people are amazing" Lumine added

"If you wanna find the Geo Archon, this is the only chance you'll get all year." Paimon told her "Guess it's a great thing Venti brought it up earlier, otherwise, we definitely would've missed this year's Rite of Descension."

"Do you know when it is?" Lumine asked

Paimon immediately touches her head to think "Uhh. might be today, might also be tomorrow... Look, we're already in Liyue so let's go ask some of the locals"

Before they go, she just realizes "Oh, right. About the Geo Archon, "Morax"... Did you know? The Mora that we use is named after this god. But it's seen as impolite for people from outside Liyue to refer to the Geo Archon by that name. So we should refer to the Geo Archon by the name Rex Lapis, as the people of Liyue do"

'Once I meet Morax, I think I should ask him. He may know Hang Kasa's Crystal element. I have already asked Venti about Kuputeri's Tempest element but didn't get any answers from Tempest element power' Boboiboy thought as they walk around the town to ask the locals of Liyue some questions

Then they meet the lady named Linlang "Rite of Descension...Oh yeah, that reminds me, isn't that today? Once a year, Rex Lapis bestows upon his divine prediction, guiding us on how to run LIyue for the coming year. Last year it was the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing that was given the honor of asking for the divine prediction"

"Liyue Qixing?" Boboiboy and Lumine questioned until Paimon spoke up "Ooh! Paimon knows this one! Mondstadt is to freedom as Liyue is to contracts. Liyue has a strong focus on business and trade. The Liyue Qixing - the seven leaders of the seven enterprises of Liyue - hold true control over Liyue"

"That's what outlanders always say. But true control over Liyue will always be held by Rex Lapis. The Qixing is comprised of mere mortals. Rex Lapis is a god. Mondstadt's god is nowhere to be seen, whilst our God is forever with us. Stay in Liyue long enough and you'll see..."

-Somewhere in Mondstadt-

"Achoo! Did someone talk bad about me?... Nah" Venti said then starts going to Tavern to order some wines

-Back to the gang-

"Given that you just left your godless city, it's time you experienced what it's like to be in a city whose god has walked with it through all of history" Linlang continued

-Inside Boboiboy's mind-

"How dare she?! I'm going to knock the sense of her!" Wind tried to take control but Fire and Leaf held him before he could do something bad. Or else, they will feel Mama Earth's Wrath

-Back to the gang-

So the gang walked away and asked many people. They are very kind

Eventually, the gang continued getting some info. The three of you came to a guy named Guanhai. He didn't say anything interesting, merely musing about his lack of participation in the previous Rite of Decsensions. But he did tell you to go to Yujing Terrance for a good view

Lastly was this man named Bolai. He mentioned something about a lady named Ningguang, and how Rex Lapis was the oldest of the Archons, but he mainly talked about his business

Now they are on their way to Yujing Terrance. Until they reached it there, Paimon said to Lumine and Boboiboy that is the best time to make a wish is today, during the Rite of Descension. So, Lumine makes a wish that she could see her brother soon. Boboiboy, on other hand, he is a religious person so he can't make a wish

After they both make their wishes, they walk to the crowd at the center while Lumine whispers to Boboiboy "I know you can't make wishes because you religious person, so I already make a wish for you to find a way home"

"Really? Thank you so much, Lumine. You're really kind to me" Boboiboy said and gave her a warm smile

Lumine just blushes then said "It's nothing. That's what we friends can do to help each other"

"Whoa! Look at all the people..." Paimon said to them " We gotta get up front! We can't see squat back here!" They then walk to the front of the crowd and see a woman, who's looking up at the sky. Her name is Ningguang

She is a tall woman with fair skin, red eyes, and an overall elegant appearance. She has long straight hair, where half of it is tied up into a wide bun (that itself resembles a bow) and the rest falls into two divided parts. Her hair is white, reaches her knees, and fades into an ashy color. Her bun is accessorized with a black hairpin, and she wears a red tassel decoration atop her head which lays between her eyes

She wears a white, high-necked sleeveless qipao dress with side slits that reach up to the thigh. It is decorated with a fur neck wrap around the collar, yellow patterns with gold banding, and black lace along the edge of the dress with her Geo Vision on her left midriff. In addition, she wears a pair of black high gloves reaching to the ruffled extensions stretched from the upper arm. Her gloves are decorated with copper patterns and claw attachments on the thumb, ring and pinkey fingers that act as fingernail guards. The side slit in her dress reveal black shorts with diamond cut patterns and sheer tights with tattoo-like decorations. She wears a pair of brown high heels, with golden anklet around her right calf. Ningguang also carries a smoking pipe with her. Her outfit, Gold Leaf and Pearly Jade, is described to have intricate embroidery which is the hallmark of this graceful dress

"The hours are upon us." Nigguang said. As two ladies bowed to her and walked backward, so she used her Geo powers to summon to Rex Lapis, however, instead of descending gracefully or was supposed to appear

A brown dragon appeared from the sky as it crashes down on the table with a lot of stuff on it

Ningguang looked at Rex Lapix and was shocked. She walked closer to see while the crowed is whispering until she spoke up to the guards

"Rex Lapis has been killed! Seal the exits!" Ningguang commands as the Millelith guards came out with a weapon and surrounded the area

"Wha...What's going on?! Did she just say Rex Lapis is...The Geo Archon...is...DEAD?!" Paimon said in panicked as Boboiboy looked at the Rex Lapis's body 'Why would someone want to kill Geo Archon? Is this one of Fatui's works? I know Tsaritsa wants Gnosis bụt why kill him? Not only that, those Fatui now are after me too'

"Oh no, the Millelith! Looks like they're nabbing suspect's who got too close" Paimon said while they looking at one of the soldier's talks to the locals

"Paimon's freaking out. The killer is Amongst us!" Paimon said the last part, which almost makes Boboiboy laugh

Then Paimon just realizes "Wait... we got close... are we suspect!?"

"Yes, we are not local people so they might suspect us" Boboiboy told her, Paimon got scared, and Lumine turns around and was about to leave

"Wait, where are you going?" Paimon asked her

'It was a god we faced off against when we first arrived in this world...' Lumine thought then turns to them "We need to get out of here"

-Mini Timeskip-

They're walking cautiously while avoiding the Millelith. It was smooth until Lumine accidentally stomp on a broken rock. A guard spotted us, so they ran as fast as they can. "They're here! Arrest them!" They ran quickly to the stairs and were about to go down, only to find more of them coming. They got surrounded

"There's nowhere to run!" One of them said, pointing their weapon. Lumine summon her weapon while Boboiboy tried to use his elemental power to defend themself. Suddenly, a mysterious voice came out and said "Hey buddy - Hold still."

Three flashes came out above our head and shoots water at the soldier. A guy suddenly popped from the tree, with a bow in his hand and landed. His name is Tartaglia, also known by his alias "Childe"

He is a tall young man with short, choppy orange hair and dull blue eyes. He wears a red Fatui mask pulled off to one side of his head. He also wears a beaded earring with a red crystal on his left ear. A few lighter blonde streaks can be seen in his hair, with one prominent one on the left side of his bangs.

He wears a grey jacket with dark red and light grey details, grey pants, and black boots and gloves. His jacket is left unbuttoned at the end to reveal a belt, which his Hydro Vision is attached to. It is instead held by buttons, with the outer edge decorated by a black symbol. He wears short gloves that expose his wrists. He also wears a red banner that goes across his chest and over his left shoulder

He then summons two water dual blades and attacks the Millelith, a huge water splashes came out after he finished. They could hear more guards, order them to surrender. Childe look at them and said " Come with me." and proceed to run. They have no choice but to follow him.

'Who is this person?' Boboiboy thought while following him

"*panting* Phew... Paimon's exhausted..." Paimon said while catching her breath after running away from the guards. Lumine raised his eyebrow and ask " Just what muscles do magical floating use exactly?".

"So insensitive! You have no idea just how tiring floating arou— Wait!" Paimon stops her statement and looks at the new guy, who just save them." Just who are you exactly?"

"Call me Childie" Childe introduced his name, which makes Boboiboy almost laugh

"Childe? What, so we're supposed to dote on you?" Paimon asked

"Haha, no, no, not at all. It's an alias of sorts. In Mondstadt, I don't suppose you came across a 'Signora' by any chance?" Childe asked that makes two of them surprised so they stood on guard and ready to fight

"Signora... Childe..." Paimon thinks " You're Fatui! One of The Harbingers!"

"Just so you know! Paimon's friend here has beat Signora, so don't you dare try something funny!" Paimon hid behind Boboiboy. "Wait, what?"

"Oh, no. Don't worry. I'm not looking for a fight. Signora gave you a quite bad impression, huh? Tsk, that woman... Can't say I'm fan either," Childe said then he looked at Boboiboy

"So it's you. The kid wielded 7 elements that defeats La Signora at the Cathedral. Boboiboy, is your name?" Childe referred to Boboiboy

" Yes, I'm Boboiboy. Sir Childe" Boboiboy started calming down a bit

"Right, let's forget about all about her, shall we? I'm here to help you," Childe said

"Help?" Lunime asked and she's thinking why this Fatui help them

"Yes, help. I'm not a bad guy... Okay perhaps I'm kind of a bad guy, but I'm not here to give you any trouble. Would it be too much to ask for you to keep the sword sheathed?" Childe asked her to keep her sword away so Lumine put her swords away and stand normally. But Boboiboy's thinking this guy has something on his sleeve so he acts normal

"Haha, I thank you for your knightly nobility, Lumine. I heard of your deeds in Mondstadt, so I couldn't help but notice you during the processing back there." Childe said and continue" And because I had my eye on you the whole time, I know it wasn't you. Someone else was clearly behind this. But... regrettably, given I'm a Fatui envoy from Snezhnaya... there's no way I'd be trusted after something of this magnitude. The ruling Qixing of Liyue has already been overly suspicious of us"

"Well can you honestly blame them?" Paimon asked with a blank look

"Hahaha. Guess I shouldn't try to deny that. Okay, sure. Maintaining a distance between strangers is probably a good idea. Either way, I'm already used to it at this stage. But right now, if you want to clear yourselves of any suspicion - you need to get yourselves to Northland Bank. Staying here isn't an option. As the old Liyue saying goes: "The walls have ears." Follow me if you wish to get yourselves to safety." Childe suggested and they started following him

Within a few minutes, the four of them were now at the Northland Bank

"Northland Bank..." Boboiboy asked while looking at the bank

"Correct. This bank was opened here in Liyue by Shezhnaya." Childe said while Boboiboy crossed his arms "Though everyone knows Liyue is the most enterprising in Teyvat, Shezhnaya is not short of change either."

"Yeah well, poorer nations don't seem the type to have diplomats that come around acting the way yours do towards the Knights of Favonius" Paimon stated as Childe nervously laughed before he spoke up "Eh-hehehehe... Here, let me give you this"

Childe pulled something out of his pocket and hands it to Lumine "This is..."

"I'm not sure, exactly. Sometimes, all money can buy is "things" and not a name for oneself. All I know is that it's a sigil. A sigil to keep the "might and illuminated adepti" from bringing harm to you"

"Adepti?" Boboiboy asked with a raised eyebrow

"If you head north from the harbor, then west from Guili Plains, you will eventually reach a stone forest known as Jeuyun Karst. The people of Liyue believe it to be the abode of the adepti."

"Isn't it a legend?" Lumine said

"Legend or not, they believe it. As such, offerings to the adepti are made at its borders. Nobody dares venture in. But I have no need for believing - not when I know for a fact that the adepti truly exist."

"Hate to admit it but your Fatui intel seems alright. But, why would we go looking for the adepti anyway?" Paimon asked curiously

"Ha, oh my little friend. There are plenty of reasons mortals seek the blessings of adepti. Money, health, love... But you... you will go for justice"

"Justice?" Three of them asked

"The Qixing will already have dispatched the Millelith. They'll be seeking out the assassin from amongst the onlookers. But how could a mere mortal kill a god that can sweep aside entire armies? Rex Lapis never gave up his power as a god. This level of crude is beyond what is called for. How suspicious..."

"You think the Qixing did it and they're trying to pin it on someone else?" Lumine asked

"Your thinking is even more radical than my own, Honorary Knights. Even now, the Northland Bank wouldn't be able to hold the Millelith off for long, but the adepti can clear you of any wrongdoing. Liyue was founded by the Geo Archon and the adepti - of course, it was built by force. Look for them. And be faster than the Qixing's messengers, so you may give your version of events first. If there is anyone that can help you in Liyue now, it can only be the mighty and illuminated adepti."

"Come back to me at the bank once you guys are finished"

Eventually, the three of them left the Northland Bank and headed to the location of the adepti

While heading to the location, Boboiboy spoke up to Lumine

"Hey, Lumine. Do you think we can trust we can trust him? I know it's awkward that one of Fatui is trying to help us but knowing Fatui, they are after Gnosis and me"

"I'm not sure, but we'll soon enough if Childe's trustable or not" Lumine answered

"Yeah. I hope so" Boboiboy sighed

For sometime later, the three of them were now at the location of the first Adepti.

"We're here." Paimon said

"Yeah, but where's the Adepti?" Lumine said as they are looking around to find Adepti. Until they heard an echoey deep male voice." And who might we be? Do those that dare enter Jeuyun Karst?"

The four of you turned to see an Elk and its body represents the season, Autumn

"We were sent here, Sir" Boboiboy answered

"Here, take a look at this" Lumine said as she pulled out the Sigil of Permission and showed it to the Elk Adepti

" A Sigil of Permission...Many a season has passed since one was last in the presence of such an item. He before you is the mighty and illuminated Adeptus, Moon Carver. Speak, travelers." He introduced himself then he starts questioning them "What business have you here?"

"Actually..." Paimon was about to speak up until the Sergeant of the Millelith had arrived to interrupt.

"It's the assassins! They dared to flee here to Jeuyun Karst!" Millelith Sergeant said

"Sir, we've already stepped too far into Jueyun Karst ourselves..." Millelith Soldier pointed out

"We...Argh...there's no choice. Apprehending the assassin is a top priority, we must press on!"

"...disturbing our borders. See them gone. One will not have an interruption." Moon Carver tells Boboiboy and Lumine until the Sergeant called out a bunch of Millelith Guards

" Well, that's just great..." Paimon said in annoyance.

"Let's take them down." Lumine told them as they nodded so she summons her sword out and started fighting against the Millelith guards

And Boboiboy starts using his power. "I should be careful not to hurt them. Elemental Power! Boboiboy Thorn!" Baby Thorn has arrived

"Yay! This is my turn now!" Thorn jumped like the carefree child he is

Krik... Krik... Krik...

"Eh...?" Everyone stop what their doing and sweat-drop at him

"Eh? What's going on? Why is everyone fighting?" Thorn said innocently and tiled in confusion

"They are trying to arrest us! Could you please help us?!" Paimon said angrily

"Oh! Ok! Then Ensnaring Thorny Vines!" Thorn binds all Millelith Soldiers' arms and legs with his sharp and prickly vines. All of the soldiers are yelling in pain because of how sharp his vines are

"OW! OW! OW!"

"THESE VINES ARE SHARP!"

"IT HURTS SO MUCH!"

"THESE VINES ARE SO ITCHY!"

"I CAN'T GET IT OFF!"

"Now your chance, Lumine!" Thorn told her "Okay!"

Lumine runs towards them then jumps up with her sword in her hand. "Take this!" She slams her sword on the ground and creates shockwaves around her, knocking the Millelith Soldiers' out but they didn't get unconscious yet

"Grr... Retreat!" Sergent commands the guards as they nod and leave

'That boy... I sensed something off of him... I have feeling that the boy has possessed some kind of power that could rival the archons and the apdeti...' Moon Carver thought while Thorn reversed back and Lumine put her sword away

"We've digressed. State your purpose, travelers"

"Well..."

The three of them started explaining the situation to Moon Carver

"Preposterous... PREPOSTEROUS!" Moon Carver said in both shock and anger before continuing to speak up "The Liyue Qixing... utterly disappointing. How could someone possibly assassinate Rex Lapis during the Rite of Descension... And then place suspicion upon the attendees?! ..."

"Travelers, of the unjust accusations placed upon you both, one has become aware. The mind knows its answer. Though one must consult with one's fellows, lest the mind is misguided. Go. Take your Sigil of Permission, carry with you a message"

"Uhh... Sir Moon Carver. Who should we look for?" Boboiboy asked

"Mountain Shaper and Cloud Retainer can be found here. Only fate will decide if you shall find them - only fate. There exists a Conqueror of Demons, a Guardian Yaksha. Go to Wangshu Inn. There you shall seek him. But first, you must visit the Mountain Shaper, which lives in Mt. Hulao."

They nodded as they headed to another location

So right now, they arrived at Mt. Hulao and got to the top to meet another Adepti. That's when they see a Treasure Horder known as Li Ding and was praying for the Adepti to spare him and his brother.

They started talking to him, but Li Ding was mistaken and thought that the three of them were one of the Adepti's messengers.

When Li Ding tells you his story about his family were being poor as they climbed up the mountain to get treasures and to support their family.

Li Ding asks Boboiboy and Lumine to save his brother who was trapped inside a crystal by the Adepti.

You honestly felt sorry for this man because he and his brother were trying to help their family.

Boboiboy and Lumine accepted it, searched his brother, and eventually found him and broke the crystal. His brother was named Li Dang after you rescued him.

After that, they took him back to Li Ding as the brothers thanked them as they went off back to their families.

Paimon conversed with Boboiboy and Lumine for a moment until a male echoey voice spoke up

"Who dares trespass on my mountain? Who is it that frees the thief from his incarceration?"

They turned to see a red and orange-colored crane, with a pattern of both on its wings.

The crane flies down to your level and spoke up to them "Foolish mortals, come forth and receive your punishment at once!"

They looked at each other before approaching the Mountain Shaper

"...You intrude upon the sanctity of Mt. Hulao, you destroy the amber of my mountain, and you free a thief whose freedom is not yours to give. The thieves' ignorance was an affront to the adepti... but your actions are an abomination of the highest order!" He said in anger

"We're sorry. Sir. The reason why we freed that man was that he and his brother were trying to help their family because they were poor" Boboiboy explained

"Helping their family, you say? However, they have not given permission to the Adepti, such as myself!" Mountain Shaper said

"I understand. However, without his brother...what can the other one do without him? He did pray to you to spare him and his brother's life then we had no choice but to rescue his brother. They promised that they won't return to this place ever again. You have to believe us." Boboiboy told him as the other nodded

The Mountain Shaper thought about it for a moment before speaking up "Very well. I shall let them go...just this once."

"Thank you, Sir" Boboiboy bowed as he sighs in relief

"Anyways, what brings you here, travelers?" Mountain Shaper asked

"Moon Carver sent us here." Lumine told him and he is surprised "Moon Carver... trusted mere mortals as his messengers? How can I believe you?"

"He gave us this" Lumine pulled out a Sigil of Permission and showed it to him.

"Is this... a Sigil of Permission? One is surprised to find that such things still exist in the mortal realm. In the beginning, Rex Lapis cast them for the mortals with his own hand. Few were made then, and thousands of years on, fewer still remain..." Mountain Shaper told them as he continues "Speak. One shall listen to the matter which brings you here, then one shall verify the truth thereof. You two would be wise to speak the truth, for Liyue is not so far from here that one would be easily deceived."

Boboiboy and Lumine explain what happened in Liyue Harbor

"Rex Lapis...Assassinated? At the Rite of Descension?! What mortal in Liyue - nay, in all the world, would conspire to commit such foul treason? Or perhaps the more pertinent question is, what power in this world could aspire to achieve it?"

"Rex Lapis charged the adepti with the protection of Liyue, and we have always honored this duty. As the people have prospered, so have we gradually withdrawn into the mountains. Indeed, this was a gesture of good will towards humanity. But now...Alas! Rex Lapis, gone..." Mountain Shaper said the last part in a low voice

"Travelers, of the matter you both have relayed, one has become aware. One now knows why Moon Carver has sent for us. Once one has dealt with certain matters here that require my attention, one shall convene with the other adepti."

"Wait, can someone explain the amber situation to us?" Lumine asked in confusion

"Paimon can! Adepti always has magical powers in storybooks, seems it's true in real life too. You know, like how the grass is actually adepti hair, and rivers are actually adepti saliva... There must be something similar going on with the amber." Paimon explained.

"Amber must be crystalized adepti...ew, gross." Lumine felt disgusted

"...Your nonsense knows no bounds. This amber is produced by a flower that one has planted here, called the karst crawler. The majority of the plant is hidden underground. When stepped on, it produces amber to trap the invader."

"After taking up residence here, one planted many karst crawlers to ensure that the tranquility of the mountain would remain undisturbed. Over the years, they have helped to prevent many disturbances, but in the process they have also trapped many curious things..."

"Oh, so the amber is... alive?" Paimon asked

"Correct. Thus, one may not have this place in its current state, for fear of the risk to innocent lives in one's absence. One will depart as soon as one has attended to this matter. One trusts that the matter of your departure will be swifter in nature."

"Now then, since you all have your answers. You must go to Mt. Aocang to meet the other Adepti known as Cloud Retainer. Tell her everything that you know about it."

And just like that, the Mountain Shaper flies away as they went to Mt. Aocang to meet Cloud Retainer.

For sometimes later, they were now at Mt. Aocang and began to explore the area

Until Boboiboy found the stone table with three stone chairs around it

"What's this?" Boboiboy looked at the table then called his friends out "Hey guys! come take a look at these!"

Lumine and Paimon as they went over to his direction and they see this table

"Is this a table? What's it doing here?" Lumine questioned

"I don't know. I'm even questioning myself too" Boboiboy said

"Plus, they've even set it ready for dinner, there's a wine jug and everything..." Paimon held her chin to think then arm-crossed "Ooh, they even have the guest' names carved into the seats! "Here sits Retainer..." "Here sits Guizong..." "Here sits Rex..."

"I think Rex's name is short for Rex Lapis as if it was a nickname for that dragon." Boboiboy told them

"What about "Guizhong"?" Lumine asked, "Paimon has no idea who he is."

Minutes later, they found some recipes on how the Adepti eats on their tables and began to cook them with the recipes in hand.

After placing the food on the table, they noticed that the doorway to the Adepti's lair has been opened.

They entered the Adepti's lair which was a domain. They heard a feminine voice that belongs to the Cloud Retainer.

They decided to meet her by completing the puzzles on the platforms to get to her.

Within a few minutes later, they were enemies on some platforms but Boboiboy and Lumine killed them easily and continued doing the puzzles.

After that, they were finally at the final platform and looked up to see a white crane with blue, gold, and black plumage.

"One is most impressed. The path that leads through this abode defies those of ordinary abilities." She said as she flew down and spoke up "The one before you is the adeptus, Cloud Retainer. Now, speak of the matter which brings you here."

"Did you design all those mechanics?" Lumine asked

"Oh, naturally. In fact, even Guizhong and Rex Lapis themselves found one's technological accomplishments to be worthy of commendation."

"This place is huge! And there are so many mechanisms... Do you really have this whole place to yourself? What's it even for? Did you build it as your private mechanism workshop or something? It's just like the stories say. The adepti leave the human world, find somewhere to go be a hermit, and then they research and invent all these amazing things." Paimon asked

"One is simply not partial to the tedium of social interaction, and wished to find some peace and quiet. Find it one did... Shortly after which, you arrived bearing your Sigil of Permission. Boboiboy and Lumine explain what happened in Liyue Harbor

"Aren't you supposed to protect the people there?" Lumine asked

And just like that, the Cloud Retainer flies off as the four of you returned back to Mt. Aaocang.

"Well...that went well." Paimon said

"Yeah, since we managed to convince her somewhat. What should we do next? I kinda forgot about our next move." Lumine told them

"Moon Carver said that we're going to meet the Conquerer of Demons in Wangshu Inn, which is also another Adepti to be there. Let's head there before things could be different." Boboiboy mentioned

"Yeah, let's head there now." Paimon said

They nodded as they headed to Wangshu Inn to meet the Conquerer of Demons
