Chapter 9: Meet Kid Zombie, Goat Girl, Neko
Last time on Boboiboy x Genshin impact, the gang have made to Wangshu Inn to meet Conquerer of Demons, named Xiao. They showed him a Sigil of Permission. Before they told them about what happened on Liyue Harbor, he just disappeared from them. They went back inside and talked to the manager who was named Verr Goldet. She then tells them to cook a bowl of Almond Tofu which makes Xiao turn back into his good mood. In order to do that, they just have to ask the chef which he was outside. However, Lumine suggested that the food should be a Satisfying Salad for Xiao to eat. Also, Boboiboy got another idea that he should make makes his Tok Aba's Special Hot Chocolate for him.
After they helped the chef out, they finally made Almond Tofu, Satisfying Salad, and Special Hot Chocolate for him. They went up to the roof to meet him again, they gave him the food and drink then they started telling him everything while he is eating. After telling him everything, so he decided to seek Moon Carver, Mountain Shaper, and Cloud Retainer then he disappeared from their sight
The gang went back to Northland Bank to meet Childe. They told him everything during their journey. And the next day, Childe brought them to meet the man named Zhongli. Zhongli told them everything about God of Contract and he told them that he can bring them to Rex Lapix's vessel. But he needs their help with the items for the Rite of Parting.

After getting all of the materials for the Rites of Parting, such as getting the jades from Shitou, making the perfume with the help of the lady named Ying'er, the bell from the old lady named Madame Ping, the bell is inside her teapot and also her household, the gang found this weird once they get inside, it's huge like Domain and Solar has a lot of questions about how does Madame Ping's teapot can do, buying kites from the old lady named Granny Shan, and hiring some workers. Zhongli didn't bring any Mora so Childe has to pay for everything. Poor man (to me, I don't) I guess he is Zhongli's Wallet. Right now, they are on their way to Bubu Pharmacy to buy Everlasting Incense
When they enter Bubu Pharmacy, there is no one inside
"Huh, the reception is deserted. And it seems kinda spooky in here..." Paimon commented "Hello? Is anybody there?"
"Ehhh... It seems no one is here." Boboiboy scratched his head underneath his hat until unknown's voice says
"Welcome to Bubu Pharmacy."
"..." Paimon gasped in surprised "D-did you hear that? Wh-Where did it come from?"
"The reception, it seems." Zhongli answered
" Lumine, Boboiboy, how about... you two go check it out, and... Paimon will bring up the rear." Paimon shook in fear
Two of them turned to Paimon with a blank look "Really?"
So two of them approach the reception desk then see a head pop up, which makes them surprised. They walk closer and see a child. Her name is Qiqi
She has light purple hair reaching her shoulders at the sides with a long plait in the back, pale skin, and magenta colored eyes. Her fingernails are black.
She usually wears purple clothing and has several fulu talismans stuck on her. Her attire consists of a purple frock and a deep purple beret with a red-purple (magenta) tassel on top and her Cryo Vision embedded on the side. She wears a pair of simple earrings; one black and one white. She also wears black heels and white stockings that are wrapped in mummy-like bandages.
"Oh, there you are! But you can't even reach the counter!" Paimon looked at her
"Paimon, if we're going to talk about height, you ahh..." Lumine tried to tease her but "Joke's on you — Paimon floats, so height is no restriction."
Boboiboy lifts the child by her hip and holds her." She's adorable like my cat."
"Ehhh. Boboiboy, Paimon doesn't think that's a good idea."
"You never hold a child because you are one, Paimon." Lumine teased her. Boboiboy looked at the child and asked "What's your name?"
"I am Qiqi. Once upon a time, Qiqi died. Then, Qiqi was saved by the adepti. Now, Qiqi is a zombie."
"Such nonchalant delivery for a bombshell revelation..." Lumine commented
"Something like this would be unimaginable in Mondstadt..." Paimon added
"Hello, Qiqi. I'm Boboiboy. This is my friend. Lumine and Paimon. That man over there is Zhongli." Boboiboy introduced them. As Lumine and Paimon waved at her to say hello
"Hello... little girl. Do you sell Everlasting Incense here?" Zhongli asked
"Excuse me, sir. Did you bring your prescription?" Qiqi asked while resting her head on Boboiboy shoulder.
"I... Surely no prescription is needed to purchase Everlasting Incense? It's not a controlled substance..." Zhongli said
"Qiqi can get your medicine. But only if you show Qiqi your prescription. These are Qiqi's orders, from Qiqi." Qiqi told him
"Why is she being so difficult?" Lumine felt annoyed a little
"Lumine, that's rude. Be nice, she's just a kid and she's dead now." Boboiboy protected Qiqi and Lumine felt guilty "I'm sorry for being mean."
"I'm afraid that she's probably right — it's to do with her orders. Zombies are limited to acting within the confines of their orders. And somehow, in this case, the zombie issues her own orders to herself." Zhongli explained and turned to Qiqi "My dear Qiqi, we didn't bring a prescription, I'm afraid. But we do hope that you can still help us find some Everlasting Incense."
"Okay then." Qiqi said
"How did you manage that?" Paimon asked
"But, Qiqi helps you, you help Qiqi. Only fair." Qiqi answered simply
"Since when do customers need to do favors for customer service staff?" Paimon complained
"Never mind, just think of it as a peer-to-peer transaction. That way everybody wins. Sometimes, in Liyue, the art of the deal is simply about victory via mental gymnastics." Zhongli said
"Go to Mt. Tianheng. Find the Guizhong Ballista. And hunt a Cocogoat. Please and thank you." Qiqi said
"Hunt the what with the which at where?" Lumine asked
"Guizhong Ballista... I have heard of this device before. It is a kind of crossbow turret, installed on Mt. Tianheng by an adeptus in the distant past. An early mechanical device. Located in Tianheng Pass, it was designed to automatically fire at large monsters, protecting Liyue from external threats." Zhongli told them
"Mr. Zhongli really knows Liyue inside out!" Paimon impressed
"Apparently, not quite... This is the first I have ever heard of the "Cocogoat."" Zhongli replied
"The Cocogoat is a legendary animal. An adeptibeast." Qiqi told them
"Did you wanna add anything else, or..." Paimon asked
"No. Just that the Cocogoat is a legendary animal. An adeptibeast. What it looks like: don't know. Where to find it: don't know either. Where it came from: also don't know." Qiqi tried to remember
"This isn't much to go on..." Lumine said
"Very well then... Let's start by investigating near the Guizhong Ballista. Perhaps we will find some clues." Zhongli said and was about to leave "Oh, Boboiboy."
"Hmmm?"
"I think you should stay here with her to get some rest." Zhongli told him
"What? Why?" Paimon asked
"Don't you see? Boboiboy looks like he's tired. Not only that, we should not always depend on him much on work." Zhongli told them as they do agree with him
"I guess we should not depend on him too much." Paimon said
"You should rest, Boboiboy." Lumine told him "Thanks, I keep that in mind."
"Maybe you can spend time with her If you want." Zhongli suggested "Sure"
"Alright, let's go." Zhongli told Lumine and Paimon as they nodded and left
"What the heck is a Cocogoat..." Paimon muttered
Lumine, Paimon, and Zhongli are gone. Now all left is Boboiboy with Qiqi
"So Uhh... Qiqi, what would you like to do?" Boboiboy asked her with a warm smile
"Qiqi would like to do?... Qiqi doesn't know what Qiqi would like to do..." Qiqi said with a sad face
"Cheer you, Qiqi. How about this? Wanna explore the Liyue Harbor?" Boboiboy asked
"Explore Liyue Harbor? Qiqi would love to." Qiqi said
"Then, let's go!" Boboiboy held her hand and started walking around the Liyue Harbor like a father holding a daughter's hand
'Which places should I bring Qiqi? Hmmm... Ah Ha! Maybe Xiangling's place! I will ask her for borrowing her kitchen to make an Ice Chocolate drink for Qiqi!' Boboiboy thought then bringing Qiqi to Xiangling's restaurant
Once they get there, Boboiby saw Xiangling walks outside and gives the customer something
Xiangling has dark, indigo-black hair cut in a bob-like fashion at the front with thick bangs swept to one side by a golden hairclip with a paw motif, the rest braided in a looped bow-like updo at the back of her head resembling panda ears when viewed from the front, fastened with a small red ribbon. She has golden eyes, a pale complexion, and a perpetual smile on her face.
Xiangling wears a brown and gold leotard with red ribbons in the front and back, the back being larger and holding a bell. She wears a gold belt, which she uses to hold her Vision and carry around her red panda companion, Guoba. Additionally she wears brown fingerless gloves and boots, as well as a braided red ribbon around her left thigh and right arm and adhesive bandages crossed in an X on her right knee. Her outfit, Red Pepper and Turmeric, is described as light and comfortable clothing brimming with fiery passion.
"Here you go, ma'am! One Satisfying Salad and One Sweet Madame!" Xiangling gave her orders
"Thank you, Xiangling. Here the Mora." the lady pays the orders and leaves
Xiangling was about to get inside until she heard the voice "Hey, Xiangling!"
Xiangling turned and saw Boboiboy waving at her. She started into a happy mood "Boboiboy!" Xiangling ran to him and gave him a hug even Guoba too "How are you, Boboiboy?"
"I'm fine. And hello Guoba, how are you?" Boboiboy asked as the bear Guoba gave him a happy noise "Hehehe. Awesome(Terbaik)"
"So, Boboiboy what are you doing in Liyue? And where are your friends?" Xiangling asked
"Me and my friends are paying a visit in Liyue. And my friends, they are helping someone out while I'm looking after the child." Boboiboy answered as Xiangling turned to the child and knew who she is "Oh, are you Qiqi from Bubu Pharmacy?"
"Yeah. That's Qiqi."
"Hey, Xiangling. Can I borrow your kitchen a little? I wanted to make a chocolate drink for her." Boboiboy asked
"Oh, Sure! Can you make me a Hot Chocolate Drink too? I wanna drink it again. It was so good." Xiangling asked him, which he accepted "Sure!"
"So uhh... Boboiboy. How is Leaf doing now?" Xiangling asked nervously and she blushed a little. "Oh, you are asking how are the others doing? Well, they are doing fine."
"I'm g-glad to hear that" Xiangling felt nervous
Once they get inside, they meet the man
"Ahh, Xiangling. Where were you running off to?" the man asked her and noticed Boboiboy "And who is this?"
"Oh dad, this is Boboiboy. The boy who's helping me out with my ingredients at Monstadt with his friends. And Boboiboy, meet my dad, named Mao. He is the chef and the boss of this restaurant." Xiangling introduced
"Ahh, you must the boy, who's helping my daughter out. Xiangling told me a lot about you and your friends especially you, you are very kind." Chef Mao said with a smile which makes Xiangling blushed
"Thanks for your compliment, sir. Can I borrow your kitchen for a little bit?" Boboiboy asked
"Sure, I don't mind." Chef Mao accepted. So Boboiboy started making chocolate drinks
-A few minutes later-
"Done!" Boboiboy has finished making drinks
"Here you go, Xiangling. A Special Hot Chocolate for you." Boboiboy gave one to Xiangling and she started happily "Yay!"
"For you too, Guoba." Boboiboy gave Guoba one, which he makes a happy noise
"And for you too, Sir." Boboiboy gave one to Chef Mao, he started examining the drink "Is this hot chocolate drink that Xiangling told me about?"
"Yes. This is the Special Hot Chocolate. It's my Granddad's best kind of drink out there. You should try it" Boboiboy told him as he started drinking it and his eyes widened "it tastes good. I guess my daughter wasn't kidding at all."
"I told you, dad!"
"Here you go, Qiqi." Boboiboy gave Qiqi an Ice Chocolate drink
"What's this? Qiqi doesn't know what this is." Qiqi examed the cup
"It's an Ice Chocolate drink. You should try it, Qiqi." Boboiboy told her but she doesn't like it "But Qiqi likes Coconut milk."
"Don't worry, Qiqi. I promise it will taste good." Boboiboy convinced her and calmed her down so Qiqi looked at the drink once again then started drinking. Until her eyes widened but not a big wide
"Woah. It's so good. Qiqi likes it. But Qiqi still likes Coconut milk." Qiqi said while keep drinking it.
Chef Mao called him out "Uh, Boboiboy. This drink is actually good. So I wonder If you let me know how can I make it one."
"Sure, I don't see any problem with it. I will share it with you." Boboiboy accepted because someday he found his way to get back home so he will share the ingredients for making the chocolate drink to remember him when he's gone
"Thanks. I will make sure to let anyone know that was your ingredients for making chocolate." Chef Mao said
Sometimes later, when they finished chocolate drinks. Boboiboy and Qiqi are ready to leave
"Bye Bye, Boboiboy! Come pay a visit to me again, ok!?" Xiangling waved at him even Guoba and her dad
"Sure!" Boboiboy waved back then takes Qiqi's hand "Come on, Qiqi. Let's go."
After they walked back to Bubu Pharmacy, they found out that the gang hasn't arrived yet "It seems they haven't arrived yet. Let's go somewhere quiet, okay?"
"Okay." Boboiboy picked her up and carried her on his shoulders while Qiqi held his head closer to make sure she is not falling
-At Mt. Tianheng-
"Why here? Qiqi remembers sending the three of them to find Cocogoat." Qiqi asked Boboiboy
"Well, I'm bringing you here to enjoy the view." Boboiboy answered with a warm smile until they heard the voice yelled
"You three are in big trouble!" the unknown voice yelled
Boboiboy and Qiqi turned to where the yell is, Boboiboy looked closely and to his surprise, he found Lumine, Paimon, and Zhongli trapped by the Treasure Hoarders.
"Hey, Qiqi. Wanna see something cool?" Boboiboy asked and Qiqi nodded
"Hehe. Elemental Power! Boboiboy Quake!" Boboiboy changed to Quake and was equipped with Earth Glove
"Woah." Qiqi's eyes shine a bit
"Earth Golem!" Quake punched the ground with both fists
-To the gang-
Lumine and Zhongli are fighting the Treasure Hoarders until the ground is shaking
The big rock from the ground suddenly appeared
"What the?" Paimon asked in confusion until something is coming. It's a giant beast, made out of rock, and with blue eyes. It focused on Treasure Hoarders
"What is that!?" Paimon asked in shock and fear. Lumine is surprised even Zhongli too. He has never seen any golems, made out of Geo in his life
Quake started controlling the Golem. Golem immediately grabs one of Treasure Hoarders and throws one to the river. The others are terrified and they start running away
Golem turns back to the group. Lumine and Zhongli started into a fighting stance and were ready to fight it but Golem just waved at them and went back to the ground, leaving the group confused
-Back to Boboiboy and Qiqi-
"Woah. So cool." Qiqi's eyes shine
"Awesome, right?" Quake reversed back and sat beside Qiqi
"Boboiboy. What's your power?" Qiqi asked in curious
"Hehe. Well, I actually control seven elements." Boboiboy said nervously while scratching his cheek
"Woah. Boboiboy's so awesome." Qiqi said
They sat there for a while. Until Boboiboy feels something on his hat, it was flower crown as he turns to Qiqi "For you."
"Thanks, Qiqi. Looks amazing" Boboiboy said then "By the way, Qiqi. This Cocogoat you said... what does it look like?"
"Qiqi can't remember. Qiqi has a... bad memory." Qiqi said with a sad tone. He smiled at the child then rubbed her head "Cheer up, Qiqi. No need to be sad. I know it is hard to remember when you're a zombie. How about this? I will buy you a notebook so you write them down and you won't forget anything."
"Really? You will do that for Qiqi?" Qiqi asked
"Of course. Even you can't remember something so I will help you to remember them." Boboiboy gave her a warm smile. Qiqi suddenly felt warm inside. She has never felt this warm before. When she meets Boboiboy, she felt happy and warm inside
Qiqi started hugging him "Thank you. Qiqi felt happy." Boboiboy hugged her back
-Timeskip back to Bubu Pharmacy-
After buying Qiqi a new notebook, Boboiboy and Qiqi went back to Bubu Pharmacy and waited for them to return. Sometimes later, the gang has returned
"Hey, guys. How is going?" Boboiboy asked
"We're looking everywhere but we didn't find any cocogoat of which she speaks" Lumine answered
"Forgive us, we were unable to fulfill our end of the contract. We found no trace of the Cocogoat adeptibeast of which you speak." Zhongli apologized
"Ah. What a disappointment. Don't worry about it. But I feel very disappointed." Qiqi felt sad as Boboiboy rubbed her head to cheer her up
"Aw, poor Qiqi... Why does Paimon feel so guilty all of a sudden?" Paimon questioned
"What do you need this Cocogoat for?" Lumine asked
"Cocogoat milk is tasty. So tasty. Much better than normal goat milk. Only an adeptibeast could make such tasty milk. I'm sorry. I have a... poor memory. I cannot remember the name of the milk. That's why I wrote it down. Where did I put it..." Qiqi searched her old notebook
"Ah. Here. This is the name. "Coconut milk."" Qiqi gave them the picture
"Ehh!?" The group are gasping in surprised
"... I owe you both an apology. I hastily agreed to what appeared to be an equitable agreement with this zombie child, when perhaps I should have undertaken further due diligence." Zhongli said
"Never mind Zhongli, you didn't know. As the Liyue proverb goes, "All things are random, and... so how are you supposed to predict anything?" Literally no one could have seen this coming..." Paimon commented
"Excuse me, everyone. Did Qiqi say a bad thing?" Qiqi asked in a sad tone. Boboiboy gave her a smile and a head pat "No. You didn't say any bad."
"Ooh... Sorry, Lumine, but Paimon's gonna leave the job of shattering this poor kiddo's world to you..." Lumine just gave Paimon a "Really?" look then turns to Qiqi
"It all begins with the fruit of the coconut tree..." Lumine told her, which makes her surprised a little
"No... Im-Impossible..." Qiqi said
"Seems Qiqi took this pretty hard." Paimon said
"They all need to grow up sometime." Lumine added until they heard the voice
"Haha, someone learnt a valuable life lesson today, then? Thank you all for looking after my little Qiqi." they turned and see the green man. His name is Baizhu with a white snake around his neck
"Might I ask, who..." Zhongli asked
"Ah, how rude of me. I'm Baizhu, boss of the Bubu Pharmacy." Baizhu introduced
"Nice to meet you, sir." Boboiboy offered him a handshake. "You do have a manner. Thanks for looking after Qiqi" Baizhu accepted his handshake
"Paimon thought Qiqi was the boss... turns out it's some wacko who wears medicinal ingredients around his neck!" Paimon complained
"What a sorry state of affairs... This little mascot is even more of a simpleton than Qiqi..." the snake just talked, which makes Paimon surprised
"Ah! The medicine— the snake is s-speaking!" Paimon said in surprised and scared
-Meanwhile on Boboiboy's mind-
"AAAAHHHHH! A TALKING SNAKE!" Leaf and Wind yelled in shocked and scared. They started running around while screaming
Earth has tick mark on his forehead and yelled "YOU TWO! STOP RUNNING AROUND AND SCREAMING!"
"Yes Boss!" both of them did TAPOPS salute
Lightning sighed in annoyed "These two"
-Back to the group-
"Wow, a talking snake!" Boboiboy said in surprised
"Nothing in Liyue surprises me anymore." Lumine commented with no expression
"Hmph! I prefer to stay silent. But faced with strangers, I must speak, lest you mistake me for an escapee from the medicine cabinet, for I am a living, breathing serpent!" the snake said
"Hahaha, don't mind Changsheng, she's a good girl, really. As for you four... Communal chaos-causing with Qiqi aside, what business brings you here?" Baizhu asked
"Do you sell Everlasting Incense in this fine establishment?" Zhongli asked him
"Everlasting Incense? Why, of course we do!" Baizhu answered
"Phew, at last! Things are finally starting to come together—" Paimon got interrupted
"Three million Mora, top quality, guaranteed." Baizhu told them, which makes three of them shocked
"Three million?!" Boboiboy said in shock
"You might as well just rob the Golden House!" Lumine agreed with him
"Too bad the Qixing have taken it over for now... Security will be tighter than usual." Paimon pointed out
"Hmm... Three million... An innocuous number in and of itself, though practically speaking, it could be a hard sum to come by." Zhongli said
"It's a crazy number! We'd never be able to make that much Mora, and as for Mr. Zhongli... he's around three million short." Paimon commented
"This is correct."
"No shame..." Lumine said
"What are we gonna do? Is this the part where we go crawling back to Childe...?" Paimon asked
"Maybe"
-Twenty minutes later...-
"Bwahahahahahahahaha!" the laughs, which they heard were outside. It was Childe "Cocogoat! Cocogo— Ahahaow my sides hurt... Oh my goodness, I cannot BELIEVE you fell for that!"
"Hey! Less laughter, more sympathy!" Paimon said angrily
"I'm almost in tears over here... Ah, thank you, that was the best laugh I've had in a long time. In return, I'm more than happy to sort out this mess you've managed to get yourselves into..." Childe said then turns to Baizhu "Excuse me, sir... Dr. Baizhu, isn't it? Truly honored. I'm Childe, one of the Fatui harbingers. Forgive my audacity, but I see a great many opportunities for us to collaborate in the future... If Bubu Pharmacy needed a stable supply of, say, coconut milk, the Fatui could help by setting up a robust and speedy distribution network."
"Strange... I knew the Fatui infiltrated businesses with seductive deals, but... So much fuss over coconut milk?" the snake asked
"Coconut milk. Baizhu. Quick. Qiqi wants coconut milk." Qiqi told him
"Ah... Yes, of course, Qiqi, anything you want... Th-Thank you, Childe. I look forward to a successful collaboration in the future. I can give you a discount on that Everlasting Incense too, let's say... 2,990,000 Mora." Baizhu said
"That's like, zero difference from three million!" Paimon complained
"Hmm... 2,990,000... Also an innocuous number in and of itself, though practically speaking it is a whole ten thousand less than the original sum of three million." Zhongli said while holding his chin to think "Well, now that this is settled, we must head back to Yujing Terrace. Mr. Childe, Dr. Baizhu, Little Miss Qiqi, see you soon."
Zhongli left and Childe was outside
Outside the pharmacy, while Paimon, Boboiboy and Lumine are still speaking to Baizhu and Qiqi
"That lot is an absolute riot. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard." Childe held his forehead then turns to the pillar "So. You've been eavesdropping, I hope. What have I missed?" the fatui came out. It was the woman from Northland Bank. Oh, and what didn't they know. Boboiboy saw this and eavesdropped them a little while talking to his friends to make sure they won't know
"Yes, Master Childe. They spoke of the Qixing taking the Golden House..." Ekaterina told him
"Well, well, well. Ningguang and her Qixing cronies. What else would they be hiding in the Golden House... if not the Exuvia?" Childe said then turns to Lumine "I apologize, Lumine. But I warned you, didn't I? As the old Liyue saying goes: "The walls have ears.""
He looked at the Fatui and asked "How about the kid?".
"Apparently our research hasn't shown anything. This is the first time someone could control all elements without having a vision!" Ekaterina replied
Childe smirked and said "I can't wait to fight him."
Back to Boboiboy and the group, Boboiboy thinks and feels angry a little 'Looks like someone is curious and wanted to fight me. I guess I cannot trust Childe anymore. All Fatui have their eyes on me including Tsaritsa.'
The gang went back to Yujing Terrace to place Everlasting Incense
"Well, as it stands, we've hired helpers, and we've acquired the Everlasting Incense. The completion of our preparations is not far off." Zhongli told them
"Whew... Finally!" Paimon said in relief then Zhongli turns to Boboiboy and Lumine
"Well, Travelers. Have you gained anything from our adventure so far?" Zhongli asked
"It's been... odd." Lumine answered
"Odd?" Zhongli asked
"I'm not sure if we've been living the high life..."
"Or experiencing the struggles of the poor?"
"Haha, which is it, I wonder? The questions that such travels raise are ever so complicated. Well, I'll leave you to ruminate over it yourself. As to remuneration for your help, I've decided... ...to treat you to a meal." Zhongli said
"Zhongli... treating?"
"Wow. Amazing."
"Oh? Ah, yes, don't worry. I will remember to bring the Mora this time. Tonight, I shall take you both to an old hole-in-the-wall, praised throughout Liyue." Zhongli told them
"Hole-in-the-wall? As in... a cool restaurant?" Paimon asked
"Indeed. let us meet near the harbor at "Third-Round Knockout.""
-Timeskip to 18:00-
They went to meet up with Zhongli at Third-Round Knockout. They found Zhongli, who's sitting
"Hey, Mr. Zhongli!" Boboiboy called out as he turns
"Ah, you're here. Take a seat. There's no need to order, I've already done so. "Third-Round Knockout" is not for lightweights, like those taverns in Mondstadt. Here, the owner does not take such unorthodox orders as fruit juice." Zhongli explained
"So, does this mean I can order wine this time?" Lumine asked

"Hey, there's even a storyteller here! Great atmosphere!" Paimon commented
"Besides the fine wine, the excellent ambiance is the reason why this place is so well loved. But, when I say ambiance, I refer to a different sort from the one the Teyvat Travel Guide uses to judge other establishments." Zhongli told them
"As you all know, high above the land of Liyue lies a pavilion in the clouds, a palace in the mist... What does it mean to have all-seeing eyes? This, my friends: Lady Ningguang's masterwork that bridges earth and sky. Imagine. The weather is clear, and you gaze down from the deck on the world below... Behold! The glorious sights of Liyue Harbor, stretching out far and wide!" Iron Tongue Tian is began telling the story while some far away, someone is watching
"They say that when Lady Ningguang ponders important affairs, she retreats to her Jade Chamber with none but her three closest confidantes in tow. Why brings she these trusted three? To sift through sources, dig through documents — looking for information. Piece by piece, facts and figures paint a picture on the walls of the chamber... But well before the wall is filled, Lady Ningguang's mind is made up. Having made her call, she has every last document shredded. And fwoosh! she scatters the shavings out her window. Ah, look at them! How they billow in the wind like a sudden swirling blizzard! As the fragments fall, traces of text flicker before the eyes of the merchants of Liyue like ink stains in white snow. The saying goes, the rarest treasures in the land are the words brought by the paper snow. For the words of the Tianquan have the power to move mountains and all throughout the land know it. These are but scraps of paper, and yet they guide Lady Ningguang's hand — such is their value. Merely grasping one or two of them will surely gift you a fragment of her wisdom — enough to stay a step or two ahead of your peers." Iron Tongue Tian told them a story
"Tianquan Ningguang... feels like we're hearing this name a lot. Liyue locals talk about her, the Fatui hate her, she's most likely the one who hid the Exuvia, and we saw her at the Rite of Descension... Paimon wonders what sort of person she is." Paimon said in curious until the voice said
"At last, I have found you, you who returned from Jueyun Karst."
"What?" Boboiboy said and looked around even Lumine and Paimon too "Who's there?" Paimon asked in surprise too
"Paimon, Boboiboy, we gotta go...!" Lumine told them and was ready to leave but the same voice stop them
"Wait, I am not with the Millelith, nor am I here to claim your bounty!" they look up and see a girl. Her name is Ganyu
The appearance of a young woman with pale blue hair, fading into a darker shade at the ends. Her hair is styled in a layered, chin-length cut with two shoulder-length locks in front and the back section left long. Similarly to Kaeya's hair, it is easy to mistake for a ponytail, though not actually tied by anything. Though she mostly resembles a human, she has black-red horns that bend back along her hair, similar to how a goat's horns look, with brighter red markings on them. Many people confuse it as a headdress, a misconception that Ganyu actively encourages. She has purple multicolored heterochromatic eyes that fade into pink then gold.
Her outfit consists of a black bodysuit with gold accents on the legs underneath a white and purple bodice with long ends similar to a tailcoat, with a separated pair of sleeves to match. The bodysuit meets at the back of her neck to make a bow. She has white heels with gold accents and gray bottoms, with red knots around her ankles. Her Cryo Vision rests on her left hip with a red cloverleaf knot. Her outfit, Frostdew Trail, is described to be as elegant clothing blessed by the mighty and illuminated adepti. Additionally, she wears a golden bell around her neck.
"However, I am an emissary of the Liyue Qixing. My name is Ganyu, secretary at the Yuehai Pavilion, and I have come specifically to meet you." Ganyu introduced herself
"Emissary?"
"Secretary?"
"Well, in concrete terms, I am the corporate secretary for the Qixing. At the moment, I am serving as Lady Ningguang's special emissary." Ganyu told them
"Ningguang sent you? We were literally just talking about her..." Paimon said in confusion
"My apologies, you who have returned from Jueyun Karst... I am duty-bound, and cannot extend my courtesy to you in full. But I have with me a letter from lady Ningguang. She extends a formal invitation to you in her capacity as Tianquan. She invites you to her palace in the sky." Ganyu said
"An official invitation...?"
"Lady Ningguang said this: "Invite them to come here." "I wish to meet them." "At the Jade Chamber, together, we shall snip every one of these entwining dark threads."" Ganyu told them and left
"And with that, the emissary who called herself Ganyu just disappeared... But we've received an invitation from the Liyue Qixing. Paimon still can't believe it! Lumine! Boboiboy! We'll be meeting people that have any more money than Paimon could ever count... We should be on our very best manners!" Paimon told them
"I always mind my manners." Boboiboy said
"Paimon is up to something again..." Lumine looked at her in suspicion
"Hah... An invitation to visit the Jade Chamber is a rare honor, indeed. You'd best be on your way now. But don't forget about the Rite of Parting. Once you've finished at the Jade Chamber, meet me at Dihua Marsh." Zhongli mentioned
"Don't worry, we won't forget! Dihua Marsh. We'll see you there!" Paimon said as they get up and leave
-Timeskip at Mt. Tianheng-
The group is climbing up the highest mountain at Mt. Tianheng to reach the Jade Chamber. Until now, the group has finally reached the top of the mountain
Boboiboy on the ground to catch his breath including Lumine too
A few minutes later, they get up and they have found the Jade Chamber
"Look, up there! That's the Jade Chamber." Paimon pointed in the direction
"That's pretty high up." Boboiboy put his hand on his forehead to look closer
"Question is, how do we get up there?" Lumine asked
"Hmm... Uhh... Ah, this is bad, Paimon's supposed to be your guide, but Paimon doesn't know where the way up to the Jade Chamber is...
"You're only realizing that now!?" Lumine said in annoy
"We should have asked that emissary, Ganyu." Boboiboy told them
"Ugh... Well, since we want to go to the Jade Chamber, heading to its location on the map is the sensible thing to do! Let's look around. There has to be a way up there nearby!" Paimon told them as they start looking around to find a clue
Boboiboy was the first one to find the clue
"Hey, guys! I found something!" Boboiboy called them as they walked up to him
"It's some sort of mechanism thingy! Since this is the right place, it must have something to do with the Jade Chamber." Paimon said
"Maybe it's the way to the Jade Chamber?" Lumine said in confusion
"Yes, this must be the way!" Paimon told them as Lumine uses her Anemo to activate it
Once she activated it, they start using Wind Glider to glide up there. But it's not high enough, they only found the floating rock so landing on it
"Huh? It only takes us up to here... Aw, if that wind current was strong, we'd be able to reach the top in one go!" Paimon complained
"I guess our best option is we go back to Liyue and ask the Millelith..." Boboiboy suggested
"Huh? Why?" Paimon asked
"Boboiboy's right. The way up shouldn't be a secret, or..." Lumine said
"Or? ...Oh, Paimon gets it! If it was a secret, Ganyu wouldn't have let us try to find it ourselves, right? Alright, let's follow your plan, then we can..." Paimon said but she saw something
"Ooh! Hang on a moment. Look down there! Looks like we've gotten close to the Guizhong Ballista. Hmm... Uh... Paimon has a new idea! Why don't we shoot you up to the Jade Chamber using the Ballista?" Paimon suggested
"No thanks. I don't have a death wish." Lumine declined
"Oh... Right. This method does seem a bit unsafe..." Paimon said
"Still, I do remember that the Ballista had a scope." Lumine said
"Oh, that's right! Now that you mention it, we could use the Guizhong Ballista to see if there's another way up nearby!"
So the group went down and headed over to the Guizhong Ballista until they meet some Millelith guards
"Halt! Who trespasses on these hallowed grounds?" the guard named Huaqing asked them
"Hallowed what now? These are the wilds around Mt. Tianheng..." Lumine said
"Exactly. What're you talking about?" Paimon agreed with her then she said "We're invited guests! What makes you think you can treat us like this?"
"No... Wait... Maybe this was Ningguang's plan all along! She pretended to invite us to the Jade Chamber, but set up a Millelith ambush here to arrest us!" Paimon said angrily
"Paimon. That's not nice." Boboiboy told her
"We haven't explained the invitation to them yet..." Lumine added then Paimon turns to Millelith
"Grr... Now Paimon's mad! ...You! Over there! This is a trick, isn't it? How shameless!" Paimon said angrily
"What? We're just on guard duty. What do you mean, "shameless"?" Huaqing asked
"What nonsense! Seize these suspicious intruders at once!" the other guard named Yang told the others
"Well, here they come — line 'em up and knock 'em down!" Paimon said as Lumine pulled out her sword but Boboiboy steps in and says "Woah, woah! Everyone, calm down! We can solve this with a talk! No need to fight!"
Until someone came in
"Stop! What's all this about?" they turned and saw a girl. Her name is Keqing
She has fair skin and dark amethyst eyes, with oval cat-like pupils featuring diamond-shaped markings on the iris. Her light purple hair tied into waist-length twin-tails, topped by small odango-style buns resembling cat ears. There is also a small braid running along the side of her bangs.
She wears a pale lavender top with a high violet collar and ruffled dark blue skirt, layered under a deep violet overcoat. The opening of her overcoat is marked by a golden ornament, which has white flowers and purple and gold-accented feathers attached. The pattern of the feathers resembles the ones on the dangling backs of her long sleeves. In addition, she wears a golden hairpin, a tasseled choker, and dark gloves with lavender trim. Her outfit, Piercing Thunderbolt, is described to be a formidable-looking dress made using luxurious materials.
Boboiboy noticed cat ears on her hair 'Cat ears?'
"Lady Keqing, these three strange people suddenly appeared. They seem to have designs on the Guizhong Ballista." Huaqing told her
"Who're you calling "strange"?" Paimon asked in annoy
"We were just looking for the way to the Jade Chamber." Lumine told her
"Hmm? You want to go to the Jade Chamber? Who are you?" Keqing asked
"I'm Boboiboy. This is Lumine and that little pixie is Paimon." Boboiboy introduced
"We're invited guests, here to look for the Liyue Qixing! Who are you?" Paimon asked
"..." Keqing didn't say anything but only smiled
"Well, as it happens, I am one of the Liyue Qixing." Keqing answered
"?"
"I'm Keqing, the Yuheng of the Qixing. I know of you two, Travelers. You're Ningguang's guests, yes? Didn't expect to meet you here in the mountains." Keqing said
"Wow... Paimon didn't think we'd meet some super rich big shot out here in the middle of nowhere either." Paimon said
"The Guizhong Ballista in Tianheng Pass has long been in disrepair, and yet it was fixed in a single night. I came here to investigate that occurrence. These Millelith are just here to guard the scene, not to arrest anyone." Keqing told them
"So, this was all a misunderstanding? Paimon never would've thought..." Paimon held her chin to think
"Thinking isn't that hard, Paimon." Boboiboy said (Actually Solar told Paimon)
"Anyway, for a mortal to be able to repair an adepti mechanism is quite the mystery, even to the Qixing." Keqing impressed
"Hehe, that was..." Paimon was about to say
'We only did a tiny part of the work there...' Lumine though
"Eh? Oh, right. So, Lady Yuheng, might you have any idea why Lady Tianquan invited us to go to the Jade Chamber?" Paimon asked
"Just call me Keqing. I'd say that Ningguang's purpose is to request that the savior of Mondstadt take a more neutral stance... Or at least, to not wholly side with the adepti." Keqing told them
"We're not taking sides. We spoke with the adepti. They want to protect Liyue as well..." Paimon said
"When you say "protect," you're referring to their sanctimonious arrogance, aren't you?" Keqing replied
"Huh?"
"You are mortals, and thus under their protection. There was no way they would have regarded you as someone with the ability to assassinate a god. Naturally, they would also regard Ningguang's locking down the area, questioning the citizenry, and pursuit of the assassin to be pointless work. Perhaps they even wonder if there might be a cover-up. I'll say it like it is: they're underestimating us." Keqing explained
"Well, you've got a point there... Still, this is the first time Paimon's seen a person from Liyue who doesn't respect the gods or the adepti." Paimon said
"Hah. Should I respect the shallow sense of time and condescension to mortals that has caused them to delay in moving against us Qixing? Forget it. I shouldn't speak of them this way. This skepticism is mine alone, and Ningguang does not share it. Either way, I will admit that the actions of the adepti this time were quite restrained. Rex Lapis' death is indeed an extraordinary circumstance. But to think that they would call for a council of adepti rather than come down here directly... How surprisingly civilized of them." Keqing continued
"Any chance you could talk it out with them?" Boboiboy asked
"Or Ningguang would prefer to negotiate, wouldn't she?" Lumine added
"Well, for Ningguang... She would talk anything and everything out if she could. But I doubt we can do that here. The time of the adepti has long passed. If even the Liyue Qixing don't want to face that truth, then what future is there for Liyue?" Keqing told them
"Phew... Another super bold statement..." Paimon sighed in relief
"*sigh* I'll stop here. Honestly, I hadn't intended to say so much. But you're a good listener, Travelers. You should both be off to the Jade Chamber. Don't be late, now. Ningguang's schedule is packed to the gills all the way till next year. The cream of Liyue's mercantile crop all see "ascending to the Jade Chamber" as the greatest honor. Each brings rich gifts as they visit, all to curry a little favor with Ningguang." Keqing said
"Favor?" Paimon asked
"Uh Paimon, that's not the point." Boboiboy told her
"Paimon, get serious." Lumine added
"But... But! Wait, that's right! Greeting gifts are a staple of Liyue's culture. We need to get one, not to curry favor or anything — just to... respect Liyue's culture!"
"Ah, so eager..." Lumine said
"Alright, alright. You can decide on your greeting gift yourselves. Let me tell you how to get to the Jade Chamber first. You didn't actually have to come to Mt. Tianheng. Go back to Liyue Harbor, find a guide at the Yuehai Pavilion, and..."
They listen as Keqing explains the correct path.
"Well then. May we meet again, Travelers." Keqing said and left
"Well, that Yuheng may not respect the gods, but Paimon thinks she's a pretty cool person." Paimon told them
"I agree with some of her views." Boboiboy said
"Indeed. She made a good impression on me, too." Lumine added
"So... What should be give to Ningguang when we see her?" Paimon held her head to thin
"You really have shifted focus, haven't you, Paimon..." Lumine commented
"Oh, right! Paimon dreamed of an amazing snack last night — Sugar-Frosted Slime! Paimon has a feeling that it would be perfect for a super rich person like Ningguang! Why don't we go with that for a gift?" Paimon said
"So, do you have a recipe?" Lumine asked
"Nope! But Paimon's sure that we just need to make it with some boom shaka-laka!"
And... how would we make this thing you dreamed up?"
"With a certain boom shaka-laka, of course!"
"Hey, guys. Do you wanna give her a Chocolate Drink too?"
"Oh yeah! Great idea! Your Granddad's Chocolate Drink is the best! I think Ninguang would love it!"
"Come on. Let's go gather ingredients for Suger-Frosted Slime." Paimon told as they went to find some ingredients
