Chapter 15 - Meereen, City of Dragons

"Everyone ready?" Harry asked.

Nods from the many Unsullied were the only answer. Grey Worm would lead a group to the largest gathering of slaves within the city, and his only goal was to free and arm them. Overnight, the city would fall as Harry delivered huge groups of Unsullied throughout the city.

The Great Masters of Meereen were reeling from the unexpected loss of their family members. Harry was worried that they would try and retaliate immediately after he defeated their champion. But many of them just went home and began to rally their slave troops.

"Right then, hold on tight. It will feel like you are spinning, but just be ready to hit the ground from a good height," Harry explained. He knew that guiding people via Portkey wasn't the easiest, especially muggles. That being said, the Unsullied are tough, so even if they get a few bumps and bruises, it should be manageable.

Harry had cast the Portus spell on a series of long rods, allowing 50 men with huge packs of weapons to hold on. After doing a bit of scouting, Harry found some fantastic back alleys where he could make the drop.

He gave the trigger word to activate the Port Keys, "Good luck!"

The first 50 men, Grey Worm's group, were away. Harry continued sending troops throughout the city.

Harry ended up sending something close to 1500 Unsullied, all carrying as many weapons as possible, throughout the city. By the time night fell, the slave revolt had fully started. Freed and armed slaves led fully trained Unsullied to the most dangerous and brutal slavers, eliminating all of them. The orders from both Harry and Daenerys were clear, however: take every slaver down, yet no women or children were to be harmed.

Harry continued by opening up the southern gate and sending the Gold Legion through the gate and up the ramp into the city. Massive elephants with crews operating the single ballistae on top, along with a dozen archers, were able to maintain a presence throughout the streets. Every major thoroughfare had Gold Legion and Unsullied patrols as the city fell. By sunrise, no open slaver existed and no chain remained on a slave. Not every slaver had been killed, as many slaves argued to keep the few good eggs alive.

Daenerys and Harry rode their dragons, flying over the city as if their mere presence marked the territory as their domain. They brought fear and hope equally. Fear to those who would subjugate others. Hope to those who found themselves free for the first time in their life.

After the city fell and the sun had fully risen, Daenerys and Harry landed on a balcony of the tallest pyramid, the largest ruling structure in the city. Harry was smart enough to cast an impervious charm on the slight ledge to make up for the weight of dragons just as they landed.

"You know, I was thinking that statue up there would look better with a different form," Harry prompted.

Daenerys gently slid down Drogon's lowered shoulder, "Oh? Not a fan of the harpy?"

"Loud, squawking things, harpies are. Not nearly majestic enough for our new city here," Harry said.

"You still wish to make Meereen the capital then?" Daenerys asked, referencing a conversation they had earlier in the week.

"This city is perfect. It's not only the largest, but take a look at those docks," Harry nodded his head. "Room enough for literally hundreds of ships, beyond what they already have here. Not only that, but we have a massive freshwater river, and we have ample farmland. Not to mention the iron mines in the mountains...this place is perfect."

She agreed, taking a look at everything around, "You said the giants are farmers?"

Harry shrugged, "They are vegetarians and somehow farmed enough food in a few different series of caves in the frost lands beyond the wall. Not only that, but the majority of them are what they call 'growers' and are mostly female. I think it's slightly religious or at least respected above the normal for the growers. They seem to hold a higher position than the fighters at least."

"We will need to find a place for them to live," Daenerys said.

"That is true, having a hundred giants walk back and forth from the city every day might be dangerous. I was thinking of taking one of the noble pyramids, expanding the interior, and connecting a portal that only giants and those they approve of may enter through. It would lead directly to the farmlands and they wouldn't have to worry about any of that stuff."

"And those with the Frost Legion?"

"There are solutions that come to mind, but we can ensure they can coordinate. As far as the Frost Legion themselves...we can probably find a barracks or create something. We will need to recruit and train a city guard so you don't lose too many numbers in the Unsullied."

She nodded, "Right. When you said you could increase the size of the interior...is that like the Peverell Manor?"

"To some degree. The manor is more of a pocket dimension, an entirely separate space. I can do that but I can also just make the interior of a building much larger, like it was bigger on the inside," Harry said.

As they spoke the Elder Wand appeared in his hand and he silently cast a Transmutation spell on the 40-foot golden Harpy statue. It began to warp and change. It turned into a massive three-headed dragon whose tail showed the infinity sign as it wound around. He put an animation charm on the statue so that it constantly kept moving. He felt inspired as both Drogon and Rhaegal were staring at it curiously.

He quickly paused the animation charm and Apparated up to the statue. Pulling each of the three heads down he transmuted the golden-coated metal in each of the mouths to have flame-blasting enchantments. He made the left head's flames a deep crimson. The central head had ethereal emerald flames and the last one had golden-silver flames. He let the animation enchantment reactivate with some basic parameters.

Then he thought about it for a second, smirking down at Daenerys who raised an eyebrow at him. He put a strange enchantment on it, one that he had to ask Death about. It was a mental compulsion, that if you had plans to enslave people in the city, you would constantly be aware of the dragon statue staring at you. But it would be mixed with a mild Confundus Charm, that if you were detected with this intent to enslave, then you couldn't do anything besides make eye contact with the golden hydra. It would serve as a deterrent to some degree, a warning.

"What do you think?"

"It's certainly a statement," She said.

It was then that the hydra released a silent roar and three gouts of flame burst outward, causing both dragons and their mother to slightly flinch.

"Oh, I might have made it spit a bit of fire," Harry said sheepishly.

Daenerys shook her head in exasperation, "Back on what we were speaking on before."

"Turning Meereen into the new capital?"

She nodded, "I like that idea, and I do want to make this a true capital...but what of the Seven Kingdoms?"

"What about them? We are creating something greater than just a single continent. We will have portals all over the world, creating an expansive empire that can't be countered. Each kingdom will have to sign a contract or face the consequences."

"Like the Gold Legion?" She asked, a slight bite to her tone. She was extremely uncomfortable with the situation, to say the least. The cursed members of the legion were a huge topic of discussion, especially since the Commander essentially had a fully golden skull with no skin and was forced to do exactly what Harry said.

It was a grim fate, akin to slavery. But a contract is a deal written in magic and while Harry didn't like slavery, he hated betrayers even more. They had agreed to fight for the Dragon Queen and Harry, but they immediately went back on that word, activating the first part of the curse.

They could always decide to activate the second part, which would let them die. Such is the Twice-Fold Curse.

Harry nodded, "There has to be immediate and devastating consequences for people's actions. They can talk all they like, but the instant they decide to take that step and betray their word, then they pay dearly. That is how we ensure that this world moves forward with our will. This is how we pull them from the darkest trenches and bring them into the light."

Daenerys' face grew stern, but she was nodding in agreement, "We break the wheel, and ensure that it doesn't reform. We rebuild everything, and force them to do what is right."

Harry smiled, "That's right. It starts here," He gestured around him, and off the huge balcony they stood on to the wider city they now owned. "We turn this place around. We give the citizens a future to look forward to. We give them their lives and the tools they need to find a place in this world. It goes beyond that too. Expecting the best from those around us will only push us to give our best in return."

Daenerys stared at him as her mind raced. Every word seemed to open doors to the widening world of the future. Every turn of a sentence expanded the potential of her imagination. It was at this exact moment, that she knew without a doubt that she had made the right choice for her future husband and king.

Hadrian was more than just a man, he was a force of nature. She would fly with him as they changed the world.

~~o0o~~

"Khaleesi, the city is ours. All slaves have been freed. The remaining...noble houses number at exactly 10. I can have them come here when you are ready to receive them," Grey Worm said.

They were in the throne room of Meereen, which was admittedly a bit more minimalist than something Harry would like, but he could live with it for now. This had been the most that he had ever heard the Unsullied Commander speak. Even the few times he had exchanged words with the stoic man, it had always been clipped and guarded.

"Excellent, Grey Worm, have them brought before us. Lord Hadrian, do you see any problem with having them sign a contract?"

"You want them to remain alive?" Harry asked. He was on the dais with her, but his 'throne' was a leather bucket chair.

"If they can be of use..."

"Anyone can be of use, but if they were slavers, and now suddenly no longer have slaves..."

"Yes, they might be bitter and angry, but they can help to move forward if we have a contract that ensures their compliance," Daenerys said.

Harry nodded, "But they were slavers, right?" He looked to Grey Worm. The stoic man nodded one time. "Did you speak to their slaves, Grey Worm?"

"I did. Many of them wanted us not to harm the 10 families that remain, as they have been treated well. The cruelest of the Great Masters have all been slaughtered, however," Grey Worm said.

This didn't talk about the hundreds, if not thousands of middle-class families, where some owned slaves or benefitted from the ruling class.

"I see. Alright, then. I can get behind that, but when you do bring them, bring their entire immediate family as well," Harry ordered.

Grey Worm looked to Daenerys but she nodded in agreement.

"Ah, and before you leave, I have something for you," Harry said. He snapped his fingers and an armor stand appeared, Grey Worm's new armor and Valyrian Steel Spear along with it.

"As the Commander of the Unsullied, you need to stand out. This also means being the most formidable fighter as you might be targeted. I expect you to be able to lead your men as one who stands above them in strength."

The Unsullied seemed surprised and conflicted at the more intricate and powerful set of armor. It wasn't until Daenerys encouraged him to change into it that he accepted and bowed to Harry.

"I will put this to good use, Lord Hadrian."

Harry took another sip of his Ogden's Fire Whiskey and released a small plume of flame as he began to speak, "Good. You are dedicated and ready to give your life to the Queen. But it is not your death that she wants, it is your strength. Do your best, Commander."

Grey Worm's bow was more enthusiastic now, showing that he respected Harry's words. He went off to change and acquire the noble houses.

"Ah, Ser Barristan, I have been meaning to tell you that we have a final design for your Queen's Guard armor, would you like to see it?" Harry asked.

Daenerys looked surprised but seemed interested.

"A new set of armor you say, Lord Hadrian?"

"I do. Chancey, please bring Gendry and the armor he finished, along with those bracelets that are near them in that box," Harry said. It was strange for those who were still getting used to his overt displays of magic as he just started to speak out into the open air. After a few seconds, the now emptied armor stand was filled with something remarkable.

Along with the new set of armor, a confused and surprised Gendry appeared, still dressed for the forge. "Oh wow! What..."

"Gendry! Good of you to stop by!" Harry said. The Hound snorted as he stood guard just off the dais, opposite Ser Barristan.

"Ah, Lord Hadrian...this is a fancy place," Gendry said before he noticed a beautiful woman with her eyebrow raised. "Oh! Uhh, Your Grace, it's an honor." Gendry awkwardly bowed as he stuttered through a greeting.

Daenerys seemed amused at his attempts but nodded all the same. "I understand you put together a suit of armor for my future Queen's Guard. Would you be willing to go over it with us?"

He nearly stuttered as he spoke, "Uhh, of course, Your Grace! I was able to procure some incredible metals, courtesy of Lord Hadrian here," He nodded to Harry who lifted his glace in cheers. "With his incredible magical forge, I was able to create a new metal alloy, using Valyrian Steel, Gold, and Tungsten as well as some stabilizing agents. It's incredibly difficult to work with but..."

Ser Barristan spoke up, "I know my way around armor, and while that is an incredible set...usually you need to see."

Gendry smiled, "Ah, but not with this armor, Ser. Lord Hadrian has enchanted it, giving you better vision than you have currently as it is unaffected by blinding, darkness, light, or anything else that would hinder your vision. The enchantments are quite extensive."

Harry picked up from where he left off, "You will find the armor nearly weightless, and with the enchantments on the sword you have, you will be a force of nature. It is nearly indestructible, resistant to extreme flames, and damn near immune to anything that would prevent you from breathing. It generates its own air and is empowered when in combat. Strikes upon the armor increase your strength and speed, making you more deadly the longer you fight. And my favorite part is something you will have to see once you put it on."

Harry and Daenerys continued the small talk as Ser Barristan changed into the armor. As he walked out, the intimidating rippling golden form of Ser Barristan was a much more intense sight. The armor looked to have overwhelming protection and aggression mixed in. The entirely closed helmet gave an inhuman feel to it, as an observer couldn't see where his attention lay. On his back was a matching red cloak that had the Targaryen house symbol on it in black. On his hip was the rippling white blade of Durandal. It wasn't sheathed but just stuck there as if it was ready to appear in his hand.

Harry and Gendry looked on with satisfaction and pride, while everyone else in the throne room almost wanted to step back from his new imposing form.

When Ser Barristan spoke, his voice rang out in a deep and terrifying tone. A smiting angel from heaven unleashing their words of power, "This is...incredible."

"Did you do as I said, and place the blood where I told you to?" Harry asked.

"I did."

"Good, repeat after me: Unequip Armor."

"Unequip Armor."

The entire set flashed in golden-white light and he was back in a tunic and pants with the two golden bracelets on his wrists. Ser Barristan had an unfathomable look of shock on his face like he just couldn't believe what his senses were telling him.

Harry clapped, "Fantastic! I believe you only have to say 'Equip Armor' to get it to reappear on you."

Ser Barristan did just that and he flashed in gold yet again. This time it was much brighter and his armor appeared on him, but his white blade, Durandal, also appeared in hand, ready to fight.

Harry then looked to Daenerys and raised an eyebrow as he smirked.

She rolled her eyes, "Fine..."

Harry's smirk turned into a full smile, "Well then! I hereby rechristen the Queen's Guard to the Dragon Guard. You will be tasked with finding a few...what are they called?" He asked Gendry.

"Squires," Gendry supplied.

"Ah, yes," Harry turned back. "You will be tasked with finding some Squires that have promise with the blade. Your goal shall be to create a proper guard in time."

Ser Barristan bowed.

Within the next few hours, the remaining houses of the 'Great Masters' appeared as requested. They slowly trickled in and were put to the question by Harry and Daenerys. Each of the noble families had, to some degree at least, benefitted from slavery.

Each of the families ran an aspect of Meereen. For instance, the House of Hizshcar was one of the major slave trading families, but they also owned a smaller arena and made obscene amounts of money as they cycled slaves through the fighting pit. One of four fighting pits throughout the city.

They had taken a huge hit as a family when Harry tricked them into crucifying the family's matriarch while the patriarch was killed by revolting slaves. All they had left was a few slightly removed family members and their lone scion that was left to take things over in a changing world. He had been required to sign a very specifically and powerfully worded contract about everything the Hizshcar Family did.

And while Daenerys was immovable on her stance about the fighting pits, the Loraq Family, who owned The Great Pit of Daznak, was surprisingly unscathed as they came through to sign contracts. They had been one of the few families that were against the crucifying of slave children, and thus, when Harry tricked the Great Masters who were in on it, they were left alone. As the slave revolt happened, their slaves remained within their pyramid and while they were freed, none of them chose to take up arms against their former masters.

Even though the Loraq Family was left alone for the most part, they were still hit with financial losses as the fighting pits remained closed. Their scion argued on behalf of tradition and culture, wishing to forward the great city of Meereen, but they were shut down all the same.

Another family, House Mizshdaq, owned all of the farmland around the city. They were not happy when Harry wrote up a contract leaving them with less than 1% of the territory and no employees or slaves to work the land. This was the first of the remaining houses of the Great Masters that refused to sign the contract. They did not make it out of the Great Pyramid of Meereen.

"What are you going to do in the morning?" Daenerys asked. The easy breeze moving through Harry's master bedroom worked to cool off their flushed skin.

Harry idly ran a hand through her hair as she snuggled into him, "I think I will try to find a Ward Anchor Stone in the Peverell Vaults. Then I can start enchanting our new palace pyramid thing."

"And this warding will...extend the space?"

"Not exactly, but I do want to do that as well. How neat would it be to create a home for our dragons within the pyramid? They would have room to fly and would be able to hunt within the space without putting everyone in the city in danger."

"It would be preferable to not have Dragons hunting where people live, I suppose."

Harry laughed, "It definitely would. But as far as the wards go, we have a myriad of things that I could apply to the pyramid. It's already a veritable maze outside of the main corridors, so adding a handful of charms and the like will be a fantastic time."

"Give me an example."

"Of course! There are loads of applications, for instance, if you are an assassin coming to the end of the rule of the beautiful and powerful Dragon Queen, then I could make it so that they may not even be able to enter the pyramid without permission. I could make it so that our room essentially doesn't exist for anyone, and they would only be able to find it if we tell them where it is," Harry explained a few different charms, including the Fidelius Charm among others. He was ramping up into the bordering on obscene amounts of enchantments, wards, and charms he was planning on putting into the pyramid when Daenerys interrupted him.

"Is that all...necessary?"

"Well, absolutely! I will also be adding enchantments and charms to the city, ensure the sewer system..."

Daenerys laughed, "Why don't you just let me know when you're done?"

He smirked down at her, "You got it. I will have to double-check that there is a ward stone or it might take a lot longer if I have to create one."

Death then spoke in Harry's ear, choosing not to appear before him, "You still have Luna's Gift. I would check that before digging into the vaults."

Harry raised his eyebrow and quickly summoned his moleskin pouch. He then pulled out Luna's small gift and stared at it.

"What is that?"

"A gift from this girl who married one of my best mates from school. Before I left for this world, I stopped by to say my farewells to them. She handed me this...and I wonder..." Harry got up from the bed, summoning a robe, and he opened the gift above a table.

It was tiny, about the size of a couple of small wallets stacked on top of each other, but when Harry opened it a huge box of a stone appeared. It immediately smashed through his table.

Daenerys gasped at the loud 'THUMP' and crash of the table.

Harry sighed and looked over at her, only for her to burst out laughing.

"Didn't expect that to happen..." Harry said. He then cast a quick Levitation Charm followed by a Reparo and an Invulnerability Charm. He then replaced the stone on the table to inspect it. This time it held and Daenerys stopped laughing to inspect the stone at a distance. He also found a note in Luna's handwriting:

Harry,

In hopes of finding a new home where you are going, I procured a Ward Stone from Boddington's Ward's and other Masonry. This is a deluxe edition with the ability to lay a series of wards over vast distances. It also allows updates and edits quite easily, a truly fascinating item. I took the liberty of adding an Anti-Nargle Charm and a Wrackspurt Removal Charm. It will also make the area smell like ripe dirigible plums! You are very welcome!

Love,

Luna and Neville

That note brought a smile to Harry's face, and he chuckled.

"Well, this takes care of that. Luna was a sort of Seer, to some degree. She apparently knew I would find a home in the future and decided to buy me one. This will work perfectly for the pyramid."

"Is that what you plan on doing for the day?"

He nodded, "It will take a while, but I also have a bunch of internal enchantments that I want to work with."

"Including the realm for our dragons?" Daenerys said, for the first time referring to her children as 'ours.'

Harry turned to her and smiled, "Exactly."

~~o0o~~

It took a week of work to finish the warding for the entire pyramid. Its design was rather simple and could be broken up into 3 parts: lower, middle, and upper sections. The upper section was entirely residential, featuring the upgraded master bedroom which connected to the lone balcony at the top of the Pyramid, a whole series of servants' quarters, and even other luxurious rooms for other guests. The entire top floor was only for the royal family and those close to them, including a solar, a small dining room, changing rooms, bedrooms, offices, and bathing chambers.

The Middle layer of the pyramid had more social and utility areas. There was a small armory meant to display works of art, instead of practical weaponry. The previous owners of the palace had kept all sorts of weapons and things here, which Harry was drooling to dig into, but left it for now. The huge dining room, ballroom, and library were all within the middle layer.

The throne room was also in this area, as the huge steps leading from the entrance walked up into the throne room which was just below the center of the pyramid. The treasure vault was also in this layer and Harry had reset the locking mechanism with some magical wards, making it so only he and Daenerys could open the doors.

The Lower layer was entirely made up of utility areas, including a huge stable for horses and parking for carriages. The entire garrison for the palace guard was located here, along with the actual armory. There was a decent-sized training yard off to the eastern side of the pyramid, largely for the guard, but also equipped with a running track for exercising horses. There were plenty of other standard rooms and chambers that included food storage, water wells, and even a smithy.

Harry was blown away at the beautiful marble, quartz, gold, and other minerals that had been painstakingly carved and built to make the palace a true marvel. He just decided to add a bit of magic.

To start, he found a place in the lower part of the building that was entirely stone, an interior pillar holding up the throne room. He created a small room where he placed the wardstone. The object was set up with the ability to calculate the entire distance the wards would be projected over. It required him to appear along the different edges of the building to magically 'ping' the wardstone. It took a few hours to ensure that it worked, but after he activated the testing ward phase, he was able to double-check everything.

Once the basic series of wards were activated, a few interesting things happened. No less than 15 people dressed as servants were found dead within the palace. All of whom were immediately killed on account of their intentions toward Harry and Daenerys.

"I guess the wards are working then..." Harry said with a smile.

Once the entire premises was warded, with intention-based wards, he went on to specify the types and punishments that would be dealt out. He had to turn down the immediate execution of those who wanted to kill him or Daenerys, and instead just had it so they were stunned and frozen, while alarms went off around them. It would allow them to be captured and questioned.

The problem was that the palace needed to accept people who might be adversarial politically speaking, but would also need to be allowed into the building. He couldn't just hide it like he would for a normal house.

Beyond that, people with less than hostile intentions were targeted and marked by the warding system, allowing guards to find them if they were to follow through or attempt to follow through with negative intentions.

This included everything from basic theft to full-blown murder, even things like espionage and the like.

After the first week of enchanting, Harry moved on to more practical interior enchantments and charms. He also kept up with how Daenerys was running the city, adding his thoughts and ideas to help her establish the new government. Along with ensuring the constant exercise of Rhaegal, he also took time to sit in on people looking to bring issues up with the Queen.

Some were pretty ridiculous, but Harry saw potential, including a man who wished he could be a slave because he liked teaching. Harry posed a question, "Would you rather just teach a handful of rich children, or work with us to set up an entire program of education for thousands?"

The man didn't seem to comprehend.

"I am asking if you would like to expand your teaching horizons and help us build a school for children of all classes and ages."

A spark seemed to ignite in his eyes, "A school...for everyone?"

Harry nodded, "Education is important for everyone, and we need people like you who can help get a curriculum started."

Daenerys and Harry had been talking about creating a school already, and finding people to staff it was just another step. They even had a building picked out along with around a dozen former slaves that agreed to start working there.

"That...sounds incredible, my lord!"

Harry nodded, "Good, we will get you set up with those we have working towards this goal already."

He went back to Enchanting for the day. Starting with the many bathrooms around the pyramid. He went in with a Bubblehead Charm after clearing every bathroom out. They were in centralized areas and all had connections to a literal 'poop chute.' Harry sighed and cast a series of biological destruction charms, which eliminated waste and prevented...this mess from continuing. He was worried that he would run out of magic before he got rid of the stench, but in the end, he powered through it while adding some scented and air-flow charms.

That out of the way, he continued enchanting the rest of the pyramid. Part of that was to create an entire magical plumbing system with purified water. He took a minute to realize that it would be good to have clean water throughout the city, and he took a break from the pyramid to quickly enchant water wells, river inputs, and any place where people were drawing water. It wouldn't be a perfect solution, but it would help in case someone tried to cause havoc.

Back to the pyramid, he went into his and Daenerys' room on top of the pyramid. It was time to create the realm for dragons. Having studied the dimensional pocket expansion runes quite extensively already, he pulled his notebook out and began to work on creating such a realm.

This would be a dual entry point, one where those who were too large to enter the room through the balcony would find the new portal into the new dimension he was creating. The entry point would be tricky, but after some trial and error, he figured out how to incorporate Will into the equation.

It would be a two-part system, identification came first as one who wasn't 'on the list' couldn't enter the realm if they wanted to. The second part was willing oneself to enter it, and it was tricky because Harry wanted it to be a dual-entry point. You would end at the same spot on the interior of the realm but could access it from either the inside or the outside of the building.

Not only that, but he wanted it to be able to grow on the outside, allowing the future massive size of the dragons to easily be able to enter it. To those watching, it would appear that the dragon flew straight into the building, but would just be them flying into the doorway to the realm. Normally, to create a realm like this, a person would just put endless amounts of dirt.

This was easy if the portal was...portable. But since it wasn't, he had to temporarily unlink the entrance from the patio/balcony and bind it to an archway. He then went east of Meereen, into the mountains near Khyzai Pass.

Once there, he began to literally 'scoop' up material. Plants, animals, dirt, rock, and especially water, were all thrown into the realm. Using a pre-coded ritual. As the base components entered the dimension, they were placed as they were needed, like some type of 3-D printer.

Shimmer teleported him back to the Golden Fields, far to the west, and he stopped the flow of the Rhoyne River for nearly 8 hours as it was brought into the dimension. The water flowed right into the artificial lake created within, and it began cycling up from the tallest peak in the center of the new realm via a portal.

Much like the Peverell Manor Pocket Dimension, it was easier to put an un-traversable barrier like a mountain to hide the boundary of the realm, so he did just that. To his surprise though, he could just keep increasing the size of the real until it dwarfed the area that Meereen took up in size. He had to keep adding more materials until it finally stabilized and was finished.

He once again bound the entrance portal to the balcony on top of the palace pyramid but held off on entering. He decided to give it around a thousand years before continuing to build the realm.
Harry created a Chrono-Acceleration Ritual which bound the dimension to rapidly accelerate for a thousand years. It took nearly 2 days for the ritual to complete and he had to constantly sit by the entrance to power it with his and Rhaegal's combined magic pool, but it was worth it after it was finished.

Saving the surprise for when he was finished working on it, he didn't let Daenerys enter just yet. Harry walked in and found himself on a tall ledge with approximately a thousand-foot cliff to the water below him. He had vaguely designed the place off of the Peverell Manor, but it dwarfed the pocket dimension he spent much of his time in. Across the huge lake, he could see the lone mountain peak surrounded by forested lands.

The sky was a bright blue and the artificial sun was beaming down in all its glory. The realms smelled clean, untouched, and...free.

"What do you think, Shimmer?"

She cooed in delight, "It is beautiful, Harry. Will you turn that mountain into your citadel?"

He smiled, "The Dragon Citadel?"

"Too on the nose."

"We can have someone else come up with a name then unless you have an idea?"

She shook her head, silver sparks of fire flying off of her, "I just don't want it to be...what was the word? Too edgy?"

He laughed out loud at that, "We will give it a proper name, don't you worry."

Harry and Shimmer went to work. She was well informed with rituals and Harry was a master at Transmutation so they set up a multi-part ritual to transform the mountain into various types of stone, regardless of what it currently was.

The mountain was perfectly cone-shaped, going up to around 5,000 feet into the air, making it look down on the entrance lake of the pocket dimension. The first 2,500 feet would be turned into a perfectly solid mass of granite. Weight didn't matter in this place, so it was as good as anything when it came to that. The second part is where the future homes for dragons would be.

Harry wasn't sure about finding new dragon eggs in the future but knew if there were any, they would be in Valyria. He also knew the inevitability of his continued nightly activities with the queen, and that having children was potentially a possibility. He wasn't sure if he was ready for that just yet, but he also knew he wouldn't just walk away if she became pregnant...what kind of man would he be then?

In any case, the middle part of the mountain was all made from dark marble with silvery veins running through it like lightning. He would create a way up and down at some point, but it would have to be a portal system as walking around this place would take way too long. Problems for future Harry.

The very top of the mountain...he could admit that he went a little overboard with and after he and Shimmer had charged the ritual for nearly 2 days, they activated it. Even with that much magic strumming in the massive ritual circle that encompassed the base of the mountain, it nearly sent him sprawling for how much magic it took. He would have to rest a bit before continuing his work.

"I think it's a fantastic look, Harry," Shimmer commented the next day.

The entire top of the mountain was made of diamond and ended up looking like a shining beacon in the daylight. It was...a bit much, but Harry didn't feel like dealing with it just yet.

He went to the point which would be the top floor and began to mark out sections of around 100 feet each, designating floors and leaving about 20-50 feet between each 'floor', he continued until he reached close to the top of the structure.

"Harry, if you are going to all of this by hand, then you are crazy. Just modify the ritual you used to create the dimension and apply it to a carving and construction ritual within the mountain. You could even have what you don't use, be turned into gold or something to help supply hoards or whatever it is dragons get off on."

"Some dragons like to sleep on gold, but I am not entirely sure that is true for Wyverns. They haven't shown the slightest amount of avarice as far as I can tell," Harry replied to the cheeky bird.

"Hmmm, let's head back and start drawing up plans. You have something like three thousand feet to work with, and I'd imagine there is plenty you could do to make it comfortable for a whole...flock?"

"Of Dragons? You could call them a thunder, a devastation, a flight, a hoard, a cataclysm, a doom, a pride, a wing..."

"As much as I hate complimenting those flying fire-breathing rats, I do like the sound of a Devastation of Dragons. It has potential," Shimmer replied.

"I suppose it does, though it is a bit edgy."

She sighed, "Flight isn't bad either."

Harry nodded and they Apparated out of the new realm.

"What do you mean men dressed in gold attacked the Unsullied? If any of my Gold Legion disobeyed or betrayed the orders, they would be immediately killed," Harry said, his voice echoing through the new Council Chamber. It had been warded separately so that sound wouldn't leave the room, even with the open doorways. Guards lined the hallway into the room, and Ser Barristan and the Hound stood behind Harry and Daenerys.

"Forgive me, but that isn't what I said...specifically," Grey Worm corrected. "What I said was there are men in Golden Masks that are calling themselves the Sons of the Harpy. They have been ambushing patrols of Unsullied and Gold Legion soldiers throughout the city."

Harry frowned, "I haven't noticed any deaths amongst the Gold Legion, Commander Strickland?"

The leader of the Gold Legion, the now fully cursed Commander Strickland was invited to the meeting. He now wore a full turban and face covering, to hide his golden skull. Even with the covering, Harry realized that he was slightly uncomfortable as he began to explain, "Well, Lord Hadrian. It seems as though, through our own mistakes, that we...have difficulty being released from the curse, but it has certain benefits in battle."

Death almost seemed to lean next to Harry's ear as she spoke to them, "I thought that it would be fun to make it so they wouldn't die when killed. Their souls are already mine, but they haven't finished their service yet."

"I see," Harry said to both Death and Commander Strickland simultaneously. "Have we been able to capture any of these...golden masked men?"

Everyone shook their heads.

"Where are they targeting our soldiers?" Daenerys asked.

"Everywhere Khaleesi. Alleyways, brothels, smaller streets," Grey Worm supplied.

Daenerys looked confused and frowned as she looked over to Harry, "What do Unsullied use brothels for?"

Harry raised an eyebrow, "A woman's touch is powerful, even if it's just comfort. They have been fighting for years, and now is the first time that they have been paid and can relax, if even for a moment. I know the city is still a dangerous place for them, but it is much less...intense than the circumstances they have been forced to endure before this."

Harry's words brought a frown to both Daenerys and Grey Worm's faces, for different reasons. She was mad that her soldiers were being targeted, and that they were attacked when they were at their most vulnerable. Grey Worm was annoyed that Harry had so accurately hit the nail on the head.

Grey Worm motioned for one of his fellow Unsullied to come forward and he laid a golden mask on the table.

"The Son's of the Harpy's calling card I take it?" Harry said, receiving a nod. Plans began to spiral through his mind including curses, taboos, and charms. He had a plethora of options on hand but wasn't sure how he would go about it just yet.

"Do we know where they are attacking from? Any information at all?" Daenerys asked.

Grey Worm shook his head but Harry k

ept silent as he went through things in his mind.

Daenerys was frustrated but looked over to Harry in hopes that he had something.

He felt her gaze and looked up with a nod, "I need a few days, but I have some ideas in mind. As far as patrols being attacked, if both of you could work together as far as setting up dual patrols, that would be better. We move in force and make anyone who dares to attack, regret it. As far as our troops being hit while they are off duty..." Harry shrugged, "They will have to move in groups or face being attacked for now. At least until I make my move."

"What will you do?"

Harry smiled, "Something quite mean, I assure you."

Harry set the golden harpy mask down on the table and sighed.

Death appeared in the study, his mother's face smiling devilishly at him, "Thoughts?"

He stared at her for a second, almost looking through her as he thought it out. He finally nodded, "I was thinking about the end of the war."

"With Riddle?"

Harry nodded, "He was able to put a Taboo on his name so that if it was uttered anywhere with a certain distance, his men would be notified about it."

Death nodded, "They captured and killed many as they unknowingly triggered the Taboo."

"Mixy?" Harry asked into the ether.

His little librarian elf appeared and bowed, "Good morning, Master Harry. What can Mixy help you with?"

"Search the library for me, if you please. I want a book about taboos, that's the magically triggered type. One about activated situational ritual curses, and maybe one about timing rituals with events? Or something?"

Mixy looked perplexed, "You wish to learn about setting up a ritual that activates based on taboo triggers?"

Harry was always shocked by how smart his little librarian elf was. "That...would be ideal, yes. On top of that, I need to find a spell or charm that lets a spell that affects one thing of a certain type, affect everything of that type...does that make sense?"

"I believe so, Master Harry," Mixy bowed and popped away.

"Very interesting," Death said with a smile in her voice.

Harry sighed again, "Even if I come up with a ritual or curse or taboo, or whatever the hell we come up with... it will still be a question as to what I need to do with it."

Shimmer appeared from his tattoo, eager to work with rituals and while she couldn't perceive the projection of the entity of Death standing in the room, she knew that he was speaking with her. He did quite often and Shimmer seemed to know better than to try and interject.

A few minutes later, Mixy appeared with a handful of books. Shimmer, Mixy, and Harry delved into the books, identifying rituals, spells, and charms as they went.

Harry began to share his ideas as they went on, and together they began to formulate a fantastic idea on how they would proceed. It took almost an entire day of work before they were prepared. Harry then went to find a good spot to activate the ritual, and it turned out that there was already a place that would work perfectly: The fighting pits. Specifically, The Great Pit of Daznak is the most extravagant and largest fighting pit in the city of Meereen.

Shimmer and he appeared in the middle of the night and began to lay down the ritual circles, hiding them quite easily.

That night he set off the first of the steps, activating a new Taboo spell. It was different from what Voldemort had, which was akin to a tracing spell but was more of an influencing spell. He set the ritual up in Meereen, and he used the single harpy mask as a focal point. His research with Mixy allowed the Taboo to be set in place.

What it did was to slightly shift the desire of the wearer of any harpy mask within the city. It was easy to connect with them, because they had a purpose behind it, a reason for creating and wearing the masks. This made the taboo instantly become effective. After he cast the Taboo Ritual, he felt it begin to ping throughout the city. The desire for those who wore it began to change. Instead of just hitting small targets, the Taboo trigger wanted them to wait and find a larger if not more bountiful target to hit. It made them want to work together to find a bigger target.

Now all Harry had to do was give them that target.

"And you wish to bring him here to...tell him you are allowing the pits to fully open again?" Daenerys asked, trying to wrap her head around her lover's words.

"Absolutely, we are giving them a target. He should be on his way by now, I sent for him an hour ago or so," Harry replied.

"Them being the Sons of the Harpy?" She clarified.

"That is correct."

"And we are the bait?"

"The tastiest target they can find."

"Because of this...taboo ritual thing?"

"That is right."

"Your Grace, My Lord," Missendei drew their attention, "Hizdahr zo Loraq is here as requested. He awaits in the throne room for your presence."

Harry stood and held a hand, "Shall we?"

She sighed but took his hand all the same.

As they followed Missendei Harry spoke up, "Just make it seem like you are not happy about it, and that it was my idea."

"I am NOT happy about it and it is your idea."

"Yes, but make a few comments on clarification and such. We need to ensure that he believes that we are unprepared and begrudgingly going along with my idea."

"That won't be hard."

They made it to the throne room and Missendei introduced them as they sat on their thrones.

After introductions, Harry spoke up, "Hizdahr zo Loraq, tell us once again the arguments for opening the pits.

He bowed, "I am but a servant of Meereen. One who believes in tradition. The many traditions that made our city as great as they are today. After signing the contract you have graciously provided with us, the Loraq family has hired all of our former slaves now as legal and approved employees under your laws," he bowed again to Harry.

Harry nodded.

"My family has taken part in many traditions within this city, including such things as refurbishing this great pyramid, in all of its glory."

"You have our thanks for that," Daenerys said.

He once again bowed, "I would insist that the fighting pits are another of these great traditions of our wonderful city. Is it not honor and glory that men seek? Is it not power and pride that they have to gain within the fighting pits? I argue now that if you allow us to reopen the pits-" He was about to be cut off but spoke louder, "WITH the expectation that only free men will fight in them! Then I would say you are helping once again to push the culture and honor of our city forward."

Harry looked to Daenerys, and using her feelings on the pits as a starting point, she spoke, "I do not like that. I do not like the idea of people watching others bleed and die for nothing more than pleasure. I think it's foul, disgusting, and barbaric."

She had he chin raised as she spoke, looking every bit the Queen she was. She continued, "However, Lord Hadrian here has convinced me otherwise."

Hizdahr looked at Harry with surprise and question, causing Harry to smile.

"I might have...convinced the Queen that we can only stand to gain from the opening of the pits. The taxes, the potential powerful fighters, the glory of our city," Harry said.

"Your words have much wisdom behind them, my Lord."

"Then, how fast can you host a reopening event, where both the Queen and I will attend?"

"This Saturday should be enough time, my Lord."

"This Saturday it is."

Hizdahr bowed and thanked them before leaving.

Harry could feel it.

Hundreds of harpy masks were amongst the crowd behind them. The temporary royal dais was in such a place that it overlooked the pits with the best view in the arena. Behind them was the noble section, filled to the brim with excited spectators. Harry couldn't wait for the fun to begin.

The unrest caused by the Sons of the Harpy hadn't been too much of a nuisance since they had increased patrols, but he could feel the Taboo he set up triggering non-stop throughout the city. The mood of the city changed when Hizdahr zo Loraq announced the opening of the Great Pit of Daznak. A wave of dread from those who had been taken advantage of by slavers, not just those who were forced to fight.

But amongst those who had lost everything in the usurpation of the Great Masters...those who would don a mask of the harpy in hopes of taking the city back for themselves? Well, they were drooling at this opportunity.

An opportunity that would leave the new rulers of the city on a pedestal waiting to be slaughtered.

Harry sat next to Daenerys with a glass of Ogden's finest in his hand. He casually let out a slight burp, controlling a steam of flame from his mouth. It curled and coiled around his fingers like a serpent of flame. Hizdahr watched the display of magic, knowing he was in the presence of something beyond him.

Harry broke his attention from both the serpent and the ring around him, "It should happen just after this fight."

Behind them, the Hound and Ser Barristan tensed but made no move to show any sign of aggression.

Daenerys took a deep breath, looking worried, but did her best to keep Drogon calm. Her connection with the mighty dragon was making the dragon frustrated in the distance. He was ready to swoop in and burn anything and everything around her.

Hizdahr looked to Harry, "My Lord, what do you mean?"

"Just watch, I prepared quite the show."

Sure enough, the final two fighters of the battle clashed, one wielding a mace and a whip while the other had a huge two-handed arakh. The whip-wielder kept the other fighter away for most of the battle, but eventually, the other man caught the whip and spun into the guard of the other, easily slicing his throat.

"And here we go."

He and Daenerys called their dragons, while the Hound slammed his helmet shut and drew Lamentation. Ser Barristan activated his armor and the two sentries stood ready to cleave any and all down.

Harry stood up casually, finishing his whiskey and he made a wave to the awning above them. The cover moved away, revealing the stands where hundreds in multi-colored robes dawned golden Harpy masks.

The Sons of the Harpy stood in force, nearly 500 strong, each wielding a dagger or short sword. The black eyes of the masks all stared down at the leaders of Meereen, hoping to cause fear.

Harry projected his voice with a quick and silent Sonorus Charm, "Good, I am glad you could make it."

With a snap of his fingers, screams began to ring out. Not from those who were scared or being attacked by the golden-masked men, but by the Sons of the Harpies alone.

The black eyes seemed to ignite as the masks began to burn onto their faces.

The Taboo of the mask was only one part of his plan. It made the foolish nobles who partook in the guerilla tactics throughout Meereen amp up their timelines many times over. It pushed them from a longer strategy to cause unrest throughout the city, to try to become more bold and aggressive. It had led almost all of those who wielded the masks to appear in the Great Pit today.

Then Harry activated the ritual he had previously set up with a snap of his fingers. A bit of transmutation, a slight amount of cursed fire, and a whole lot of pain were only the start.

"Ahh, what a pleasant sight. You see, Hizdahr zo Loraq, great events such as the opening of the fighting pits require a bit of suspense! You know, a bit of extravagance," Harry turned to the noble who looked at the crowd with fear. People who didn't have masks were running as the harpies began to fall, writhing on the ground in pain.

Harry turned his back to the crowd, giving the noble a cheery smile, "I figured that handling the opening of the fighting pits required a bit from me as well. You know...beyond just the standard fair of fighters fighting against their will. It had to be something...bigger. Something...worse, even."

Two dragons landed behind Daenerys, Rhaegal, and Drogon, now both as large as a medium house. They roared at the magic thrumming throughout the air.

Hizdahr gulped in fear, staring into the glowing green eyes of Harry.

He raised his hand again, activating the second part of the ritual, "I hope you enjoy the next part."

Harry snapped his fingers one more time. The Harpies all pulled out what weapons they carried, not a single one without a sword or dagger, and thrust it into their hearts. The muffled screams of the men who dared to defy the Master of Death all activated the curse of sacrifice. Quickly, their skin began to burn and turn into dark-scaled flesh. It covered their entire bodies in seconds, as their sandals all split away from their feet and their toes grew claws and became bird-like.

Dark black wings, matching their dark eyes and scaled flesh, burst from the back of their colorful robes. The screams didn't stop.

Harry smiled as Daenerys and Hizdahr watched in fear.

The city now officially had some Harpies in it. But what would he do with them?

~~o0o~~

"Hound!" Harry yelled through the doorway where the Hound sat.

He grunted and stood up, entering Harry's quarters in the pyramid.

"I got something you will enjoy watching I think," Harry said.

He made a gesture against the wall and the crystal orb in front of him ignited. An image began to form and the Hound recognized the place immediately. The courtyard in King's Landing. A group of familiar people appeared with it.

Lady Margaery Tyrell, wearing a smile so sweet that it had to be fake, fed the young King Joffrey a bite of cake. She was beautiful, dressed in a wedding dress that could be worthy of a queen. Looking at the child-king though, Harry couldn't help but laugh at the kid who had barely contained malice and indignant fury hidden behind a fake smile of his own. The little shit was a cruel boy that Harry hadn't killed earlier just so he could watch it now.

It was obvious that the boy was frustrated and looking for something to lash out at, he turned and demanded, "Uncle? Where are you going? You are my cupbearer, remember?"

Harry got his first look at Sansa Stark, a deeply hurt girl whose makeup did little more than hide her pain. Her 'husband' Tyrion Lannister stood with an embarrassed face, yet he was better at hiding his emotions than she was.

"I thought I might change out of these wet clothes, Your Grace."

"Oh no, no, no, you're perfect the way you are. Serve me my wine," He said. His tone was casual and demanding like he would get perverse pleasure from Tyrion obeying his commands. He took another bite of cake.

Tyrion looked at Sansa apologetically, while the rest of the Royal family sat around. Both Lannisters and Tyrells, watch events unfold. The dwarf walked across the platform where Joffrey and an uncomfortable Marjory stood.

"Well hurry up! This pie is dry!"

Tyrion made eye contact with an expectant-looking older woman, who Harry identified as Olenna Tyrell, the one who was essentially ruling House Tyrell in the place of her incompetent and foppish son, Mace. Harry didn't see the moment she slipped something into his drink, but he could sense that the Child King was about to die. Tyrion brought the golden goblet to Joffrey who quickly downed it.

"Mmm, good," The boy said. "Needs washing down."

"If it pleases, Your Grace. Lady Sansa is very tired-" He was cut off.

"NO!" Joffrey began to slightly cough. "You'll-cough-wait here-" This time the King was cut off by his coughing which grew worse and worse as the seconds passed.

Tyrion found a look of concern as he walked towards Joffrey, "Your Grace?"

The Lannisters, especially Cersei, began to look at the King with worry.

He took another drink, "It's nothing..." More coughing, and now a lack of breath.

Joffrey made eye contact with Margaery, a look of fear crossing his face. He tapped at his chest and she spoke up as worry crossed her face, "He's choking!"

Olenna fell into her disguise, "Help the poor boy!"

Joffrey stumbled forward, still gasping for air.

Olenna yelled, "Idiots! Help your king!"

Jaime Lannister was there first as Joffrey fell onto his face. Cersei ran past Margaery, bumping her out of the way like it was her fault.

It was the perfect distraction, as Sansa followed a foolish man away from the party.

Cersei pulled Joffrey's head onto her lap, his face turning red and his eyes going bloodshot. Cersei was screaming incoherently. Blood and spit began to flow from his mouth as he looked like he wanted to speak. He raised his hand as if trying to reach out to Tyrion.

His parents both looked in the direction and found Tyrion looking into the golden goblet with a frown on his face.

The worry on Cersei's face turned to fury and if looks could kill, Tyrion would be lying dead next to her son.

Blood fell from both his eyes and nose as Cersei wept, "My son..."

Her tears seemed fake as they were instantly replaced with fury. She snapped her head up to Tyrion, "He did this.., He poisoned my son..." She turned back as if trying to encompass the entire city, "Your king..."

All sense of decorum was lost as she began screaming, "TAKE HIM! TAKE HIM! TAAAKKE HIIIIM!"

Tyrion didn't resist.

The Hound burst out laughing. Harry joined him.
