I DO NOT OWN TOTAL DRAMA (or mha)

BLAINELEY

Blaineley was in her dressing room, sitting down and checking her phone. She had finished the show for today and was now making a list of all the things she needed to do for their next episode. Josh, her co host, was probably also coming up with ways to make himself look better than her. But she wasn't worried though, she also had some of her own tricks up her sleeve. She may have respected Josh as a colleague, but he was not her friend. He was such an attention seeker, she knows this because she was one as well.

She was hoping that her team had some hot gossip for her and Josh next week, but apparently not. This frustrated her because she was hoping she could leave here knowing she had something big planned for next week in advance. Call her an overachiever or obsessive, but she just liked being one step ahead of everyone. She just couldn't believe that there was nothing worth mentioning on TV right now, just a bunch of junk about zoo animals and social media streams. She needed something juicy, something that others won't stop gossiping about.

As she was waiting in her dressing room for the PA's, she pulled out her phone and just started scrolling through her own social media pages. Her followers had grown larger over the last week, but not by that much. Most of them were probably because of just her looks but she didn't really care that much. After all, in her line of work, she took pride in her appearance. Either way, she needed more followers, and the only way that could happen is if she gave the people good television. And the only way that could happen, once again, is if she found something worth gossiping about.

Suddenly, without her knowing, Blaineley's eyes rolled in the back of her head and then returned to normal in just a second. She kept scrolling through her phone, bored out of her mind because nothing stood out to her. She rolled her eyes and leaned back in her seat as she kept scrolling.

"God I wish someone could just show me some affair or something right now." Blaineley said out loud. What happened next was unexpected, the screen changed to a video of exactly what she mentioned. She was watching a video of two people making out in a closet. One was a woman she didn't recognize but the other was someone she definitely recognized. It was Jerry Wilkens, one of the most famous sci-fi actors in the film industry.

She didn't really watch any of his films, but she was well aware of how popular and charming he was. How he usually had his wife have cameos in most of his films because the two of them had really great on screen chemistry. And yet here he was, making out with what Blaineley assumed was a housekeeper. She had a huge grin on her face, she needed to show this to her partner. She stepped out of her chair and opened her dressing room door.

"Josh! Get in here!" Blaineley called out excited. A few minutes later, Josh came in just without a tie on. He walks in rubbing the tired from his eyes.

"Seriously Blaineley, you could've just come to my dressing room. You didn't have to yell." Josh said, hands on his hips.

"Just shut up for a second." Blaineley said, holding out her phone to show him. "Take a good look at our next big thing."

Josh put his hands on his hips and glanced at her phone for a second and then back at her, unimpressed.

"I think you need to turn the phone on first." Josh shrugged. Blaineley frowned, looked at her phone and saw the screen was black. She was confused because she swore the screen was still on. She then opened her phone again and began looking for the video.

"Hang on." Blaineley tried to find the video, but she realized that she had no idea who sent it or how it was sent. So she went through her texts, emails, and socials but for some reason she couldn't find the video. "Come on, show me the video from earlier."

Her open complaint to her phone brought her good luck, because the video of the affair played on her screen. She smiled and showed her phone to him again.

"How about now?" Blaineley said smugly, feeling proud of herself. Josh's expression and body doesn't change.

"Now I think you might be bad with technology." Josh said sarcastically. Blaineley looked at her phone again and saw it was playing the video this, making her more confused.

"You seriously can't see this?" Blaineley asked.

"See what?"

"This, the affair!" Blaineley held her phone with both hands, practically shoving the screen in her face. "The thing that'll boost our ratings."

Josh had a look of clarity on his face, as if he just realized something.

"Ah, I get what this is about now." Josh said, giving her a supportive smile. "You're stressed about our show losing our edge, so you're coming up with these fake stories to get yourself pumped up again."

"What, no that's not–" Blaineley was stopped when Josh put a comforting hand on her shoulder, which she found patronizing.

"Look, I get you're worried and all, but you gotta keep your head on straight. Remember, crazy isn't a good appearance for people like us." With one pat on her shoulder, he began to leave her dressing room. "Good talk."

Blaineley was left in her room, mouth agape and stunned. She looked at her phone again and at the video that was clearly visible on it.

"What just happened?" Blaineley asked out loud. Either Josh was blind or he was right and she was going crazy.

By touching a screen and saying "show me", she can see the events of anything she wants. However, no one else but her can see these events.
