Chapter 2
#Wu Shi Academy Training Ground #
Standing in the middle of the arena, we have two teenagers waiting in anticipation for there match to begin.
Facing each other is Liu Kang who is wearing an unreadable expression and Kung Lao who wears a confident smirk (Mortal Kombat Legends Design). Also observing the coming fight is Master Bo Rai Cho and the Thunder god Raiden.
"FIGHT" Bo Rai Cho calls.
Not wasting any time Kung Lao rushes towards Liu Kang in a blur and immediately starts with a flying kick, but Liu Kang side steps his attack and proceeds to throw a kick of his own which Kung Lao ducks under proceeding to sweep kick his opponent. The kick connects but instead of Liu Kang falling on his back, he uses his fall to flip back up and closes the distance between Kung Lao.
For close to five minutes, both opponents trade blows and kicks, neither of them able to overpower the other. Growing tired of their stalemate Kung Lao takes off his hat which is also a blade and starts swinging it at Liu Kang. Despite his opponent's change in tactics Liu Kang is still able to dodge all of Kung Lao attacks and even retaliates with a fireball which his opponent deflects back at him with his hat.
As the match is going on, Bo Rai Cho starts off a conversation with Raiden.
"I have to say Lord Raiden, it brings me great joy to have trained two skilled kombatants. These two are really the pride of the Wu Shi Academy".
"Indeed, but Kung Lao's brashness towards fighting might cost him the match " Raiden notes, still observing the fight.
"Well, his eagerness aside, he is still one of our most promising pupils". Then a thought crosses his mind as he turns to Raiden grinning. "Might we have a friendly bet on who wins"
"I do not wager money". Raiden answers blankly
"That means you don't mind me taking your hat when Kung Lao wins". This prompts Raiden to stare blankly at Bo Rai Cho who is laughing at the Thunder god.
As Bo Rai Cho is still laughing, Raiden smiles slightly " It is peaceful times like this that I cherish the most. But I cannot shake the feeling that there will be a crisis ahead of us" He thinks.
"It seems that the match is over". Raiden notes as Kung Lao had just flipped Liu Kang judo style and place his hat on his neck
"Guess I'm still in the lead. What's our score again, 58 to 46". Kung Lao says helping Liu Kang up all the while smiling.
"It's honestly a miracle that you can easily remember our win loss ratio from when we started sparring but forget most of Master Bo Rai Cho's lessons". Liu Kang says, smiling lightly.
"Hey, I resent that". Kung Lao glares at Liu Kang before they both start laughing again. As they stop laughing they notice Raiden and Bo Rai Cho walking towards them and immediately bow.
"Lord Raiden, forgive us for not noticing you earlier". Liu Kang says.
"Be at ease Liu Kang, Kung Lao". As both warriors straighten up, Raiden continues "My visit is merely temporary. I came to inform the both of you that you have been accepted to attend Beacon".
"Beacon?" Kung Lao notes with a raised brow " I don't remember us applying for Beacon, also I thought our training was not over?".
"I had taken courtesy to apply for both of you, not only to broaden your horizons but to also complete your training there. Plus the principal is an old friend of mine so enrolling you both was not an inconvenience". Raiden said.
"You honour us Lord Raiden. We will not disappoint you". Kung Lao says.
"I know you will not. You are to arrive at Beacon next week Monday, but in the meantime I'm sure you're both hungry. Come let's go to Madam Bo's shop". Raiden says as he starts heading out.
"You don't have to tell me twice Lord Raiden" Kung Lao says while getting elbowed by Liu Kang.

The sound of scarlet leaves rustling on the forest floor. Blake was resting on a rock, while also thinking of the coming mission.
"This is going to be my last mission as a White Fang member". Blake thinks. Ever since Adam took over the White Fang, their goals have drastically shifted from bringing equality to the Faunus race to now being something akin to a terrorist group.
Breaking for her train of thought, a figure stepped from the brush. Adam Taurus. He was tall, with red hair, and wore a black tailcoat with red highlights. His eyes were covered by a small mask decorated with red patterns.
"Blake, It's time." The bull faunus said with a hint of coldness in his voice.
Blake simply nod towards him, got up from her spot and started checking her weapons,"Okay."
The duo ran through the forest, at almost inhuman speeds. They reached a cliff overlooking the valley, where a long railway ran through the middle. Blake noticed other White Fang members with them on the cliff.
Raising a brow at the amount of people needed for the mission Blake ask "I thought we were only here to destroy the Schnee Dust supply?" The horn of a train was heard from the end of the valley, and then a large train sped down the track towards their position.
"That's our primary objective, but I also got an Intel that the train is carrying some ancient artifact that the Black Dragon needs". Adam notes getting ready to jump.
"So we're Kano's lap dogs now?"
"We're stealing it for ourselves so the Black Dragon don't get there hands on it. Have a little fate in me Blake".
"What exactly are we stealing?" Blake ask now curious
"Something called a Kamidogu".On Adam's signal, they all slid down the cliff-side. Adam was clutching Wilt and Blush in his hands and Blake had her hand on Gambol Shroud.
Everyone jumped and used their respective weapons to anchor themselves onto the train car, with the sound of screeching metal piercing their ears.
As they all landed on the train, Adam starts barking orders. "All of you split up and start searching all the cars for anything that looks ancient. If u see dust destroy it". He then looks at Blake "Both of us will check this car".
With that said Adam and Blake then proceeded to leap the cars until they came across a locked hatch, which Adam quickly opened by slicing the lock with his sword. He then opened the hatch, with Blake following him inside.
However, they weren't alone.
"Looks like we're gonna be doing this the hard way." Adam said with a grim tone.
Blake just rolled her eyes and said, "Don't be so dramatic."
The room was lined with squadrons of Atlesian Knights. The room then lit up with their sinister red lights, as they sensed the intruders in the room. Moving to assess the threat, one robot aimed at Adam, saying in a monotone voice, "INTRUDER, IDENTIFY YOURSELF."
Adam didn't say a word, and only gave a sinister smile, his eyes glinting with bloodlust under his mask. He then shot Wilt out of Blush, the katana's hilt hitting the android square in the face. Adam quickly ran up to catch the blade in mid-air, before slicing down through the Knight, cutting it cleanly in half.
The other robots looked to each other, then deployed their arm blades and started running towards Blake. Blake stood ready, before leaping backwards, slicing two robots in half with Gambol Shroud.
Adam spun around to hit another robot behind him, just as Blake cut down one next to him. Adam began to fire Blush as a rifle, mowing down a few enemies, while Blake cleared the enemies surrounding them with lightning speed and the use of her semblance to create shadow clones.
Surrounded by androids, the duo worked in seamless motion. It was very clear they were doing their own thing, but their movements were in perfect tandem with each other, neither interfering with their comrades, while also assisting them as metal parts began flying and robots were being shredded apart.
A robot began to fire at them, but Adam simply deflected the bullets with Wilt, while Blake rushed the robot cutting its head off with her sword. Blake continued to destroy more opponents in front of her, before unsheathing Gambol Shroud and dual-wielded the sheath and the katana like two blades.
Blake dispatched a group of robots with haste, before kicking one up, so Adam could kick it through the door of the car. Outside, they both saw even more Atlesian Knights climbing over the cargo to stop them.
The two burst forward, as Adam sliced upward with his blade, sending robots up for Blake to finish them off.
More robots surrounded them, and Blake threw her katana (folded into a pistol), which was attached to a ribbon, and pulled back, slicing up more androids at a long range. She then started to jump up and spin the weapon in all directions, hitting any surrounding foes.
Adam ran up to a group of more enemies, and simply destroyed them all in a flurry of strikes too fast for the eye to see.
The two faunus eventually made it to the next car. It was loaded with crates with a familiar snowflake symbol on each. The car was transporting Schnee Dust Company products.
Adam opened up one crate, filled with crystals of many colors. "Warning: Explosive materials", was plastered on the side of the crate, but that was what Adam wanted. "Perfect! Move up to the next car. I'll set the charges."
Adam retrieved a small, but powerful explosive from his pocket, and placed it inside.
Blake looked skeptical at him.
"But what about the crew members?" Blake asked with worry.
Adam simply replied coldly, "What about them?"
Just then, the group heard the clang of metal coming from the ceiling of the car. Then a giant Spider Drone deployed across the car, readying its cannons. The duo holstered their weapons with a fighting stance ready. Adam tried to draw the enemy's fire, to absorb it. Which was the plan but then about five missiles flew from out of nowhere hitting the Spider Drone completely destroying it.
Slightly shocked at the turn of events, Adam and Blake then notice two figures walking towards them. One clad in Red the other Yellow. These are Sektor and Cyrax of the Lin Kuei (MK 9 human form also Sektor is 20 and Cyrax 19. Bi Han is also 20).
"The White Fang, we were not expecting you" Sektor said.
"I take you're members of the Black Dragon?" Adam asked
"Do not compare us with those weaklings" Cyrax said, slightly offended.
"Though your appearance is unexpected, I'm afraid you are in the way of our mission and thus will have to be removed." Sektor states as Blake prepares herself for the impending fight.
"I know a threat when hear one, regardless I was already getting tired of fighting robots." Adam smirks as he uses blush to fire a few rounds at the enemy. Just as Adam fired, both Sektor and Cyrax seem to sink into the ground and instantly appearing in front of both Adam and Blake upper cutting them towards the next train car.
Though her aura helped reduce the force of the attack, Blake was still slightly dazed from it. "Well that was new." Blake says already annoyed by the fact that she picked the wrong day to leave the White Fang.
As they both begin to stand, Adam noticed the air was getting a bit cold. "Is it me or did it just get colder all of a sudden.
As though to answer is question, both Faunus turned around now noticing the car they were in along with a sight that made Blake shiver. In the car are members of the White Fang dead on the floor or completely frozen in Ice and at the end of the car a lone figure clad in Blue holding the spine of a Faunus. This figure just happens to be Sub Zero.
Enraged by the death of his allies Adam growls "I'm going to fucking murder you!"
"You will try." Sub Zero states, just as Adam dashes towards him with the intention of cutting him down. But Sub Zero ducks under his swing while freezing the spine he is holding then uppercuts Adam with enough force it knocks him towards the top of the car denting it while shattering the spine. Before Adam can land, Sub Zero creates a hammer made of ice and smack Adam with it. Luckily for Adam he was fast enough to block the attack with his sword but the force still knocked him back towards Blake who is trying her best not to throw up at the site so many dead Faunus.
"Blake, snap out of it!" Adam yells as he begins to get up. Both Faunus start hearing beeping sounds as yellow balls appears underneath them. Thinking fast Adam slices the top of the car they're in grabs Blake and jumps out before the bombs explode recking a good portion of the car they just left.
Jumping towards the next car Adam and Blake turn around to find Sub Zero chasing them with both hands encased in Ice. Steeling her self, Blake draws are blade ready to face the new threat. As Sub Zero reaches them Adam starts attacking with a flurry of slashes which Sub Zero dodge and block. Blake then joins in to help Adam, both of them trying to overpower Sub Zero.
For some second they both seem to be holding there own well, until Sub Zero turn himself to Ice before Adam's attack connected, which instead of hit flesh shatters the ice sculpture with Sub Zero being no where in sight. Just as this happened Sektor leaped towards the duo hand extended and unleashed a massive stream of flame. Thinking fast, Blake leaps backwards with her ribbon wrapped around Adam and pulls him towards her evading the flame. Just then Sub Zero appears by Sektor's side.
With a silent nod to each other both Adam and Blake jump off the train into a nearby forest and start running. Seeing them jump, Cyrax was about to give chase before Sub Zero spoke.
"Stop, you should both find the Kamidogu. I'll deal with this issue myself." Without saying anything both Assassin's went into the next train to continue there search while Sub Zero jumps of the train to chase after the two Faunus.
MMM
Both Faunus did not know how long they have been running, but neither one dared to stop or look back. They both see a nearby spring and stops to catch their breath. But in a feat of Rage Adam slices down a nearby tree.
"How could this happen!" He yelled clearly annoyed by there current situation. Blake how ever is keeping her ears out for any form of ambush. It doesn't take long for her to pickup the sound of someone jumping through trees.
"They're coming." She said getting tense. Adam draws his sword out waiting for his opponents. Expecting them to face them directly, Blake wasn't prepared for Sub Zero teleporting behind her, spine kicking her into the spring.
Seeing this Adam rushes Sub Zero ready to take his head off, but is shocked when Sub Zero grabs onto the blade region of his sword. With his opponent weapon in hand, Sub Zero starts freezing it. Adam throws a punch but his opponent catches his hand and then proceeds to headbutt him so hard his mask shatters. To add more salt to injury Sub Zero proceeds to shatter his frozen sword. With his weapon destroyed Adam leaped back to give himself some distance.
Ignoring the lose of his sword Adam charges Sub Zero with the intent to continue there fight.
Getting up from the water Blake is met with the site of Sub Zero decimating Adam. Sure she have seen Adam fight and knew he was a very skilled fighter, but Sub Zero was making it viciously clear that she and Adam were no match for him. She is drawn out of her thought as Adam knelt down defeated and Sub Zero getting ready to finish him.
Dashing forward with the intent of saving Adam, Sub Zero who had noticed her attack side steps it while creating a spectral clone of ice that freezes Blake instantly. Forming a hammer made of ice Sub Zero smashes Blake knocking her into a tree. She starts losing consciousness as Sub Zero walks towards her creating a spear. But before Sub Zero can finish her a figure appears drop kicking Sub Zero away from her. Taking a good look at the figure, she sees that he is wearing a yellow Ninja garb with two swords attached to his back. A mask covering his face but despite his mask she can sees his eyes which are completely white as if they are completely dead. As Blake completely passes out, Scorpion starts turning to face the man responsible for his family death. (Scorpion's attire is his Mortal Kombat X Comic attire)
Few moments earlier
After being free of the Netherrealms, Scorpion had first chosen to bury his family and clan first before hunting Sub Zero.
Right now he is kneeling down at the last grave belonging to Satoshi.
"You did not deserve to die." Scorpion was driven out of his thoughts as he sensed the presence of Sub Zero nearby. Another power boost from being a Spectre. Not wasting anytime he rushes towards where he had sense Sub Zero and sees him about to kill a girl. With his rage already increasing from seeing Sub Zero, he drop kicks him. Seeing as the girl was alive, he turns around to face Sub Zero.
Present Time
When Scorpion was face to face with Sub Zero he then threatened "The Shirai Ryu are dead, Sub Zero. You will suffer ten times more then what they did."
Sub Zero just scoffed and said "To hell with your clan." Scorpion then shook his head and said
"No…to hell with you! " launching his spear chain towards Sub Zero and yelled "GET OVER HERE!"
Dragging Sub Zero towards him, he followed up by attacking with a downward slash with his twin blades cutting into Sub Zero's chest. Then Scorpion did a back flip kick to his jaw knocking him in the air, and then teleported behind Sub Zero and kicked him the spine. Sub Zero then recovered and when Scorpion hit the ground Sub zero ran forward and slide on some ice that he created knocking Scorpion to the ground. When Scorpion got up he then tried to punch Sub Zero, but the Lin Kuei assassin used an ice clone and once Scorpion came into contact with it he was frozen instantly.
Sub Zero then delivered a knee attack to his face and using the same leg he kicked him in the jaw knocking him back. The two warriors then charged towards each other and they began clashing with their swords it was steel vs. ice and when Sub Zero tried to decapitate his opponent it was steel that won the battle. Scorpion was able to cut through Sub Zero's Ice Sword and using the momentum from the strike he used his other hand to give Sub Zero an upward slash across his chest. Sub Zero backed away in pain and launched a ball of ice towards the specter hoping to freeze him again. But Scorpion teleported behind Sub Zero and punched him in the kidneys using his fists that were infused with hellfire then Sub Zero turned to attack but he was given a powerful uppercut that knocked him backwards. But Scorpion wasn't done yet he then used his spear chain to impale Sub Zero " GET OVER HERE!" and dragged Sub Zero towards him. Scorpion then gave him a high kick to the jaw knocking him in the air then he teleported and kicked Sub Zero in the face he teleported again this time to the spot where Sub Zero was going to land and gave a devastating haymaker to the jaw knocking Sub Zero to the ground.
Using the last of his strength Sub Zero slowly gets up hoping to keep fighting, Ice forming in his hand to make another attack, but Scorpion was having non of it. Wasting no time Scorpion punches a hole into Sub Zero's chest and rips his heart out. Not letting up he grabs Sub Zero's head and ripped it off, he then shoves the ripped head into his opponent chest effectively killing him.
With his family murderer killed Scorpion let's out a pained roar. His revenge complete but for some reason something does not feel right. Glancing towards his side he noticed the male Faunus is staring at him scared. Not in the mood to pick a fight with the man that just killed his pursuer Adam runs away into the forest in hopes of getting away from Scorpion.
Looking at the still unconscious female, he had intended to leave her but dismissed the thought. Picking her up he teleports to the rooftop of the nearest city. Vale.
Just as he was thinking on what to do next Quan Chi appears before him through a portal "I see you have finally gotten your revenge. I have been true to my word and so I expect you to honour your end of the Bargain."
"What is it you wish from me." Scorpion asked
"Long ago my master Shinnok was trapped unjustly" he says creating an image of Beacon "It has come to my notice that his amulet, which is the key to freeing him is hidden somewhere inside this school. I want you to infiltrate it and find his amulet. Though that would require you applying as a student, I'm quite certain it won't be a problem." Scorpion just simply nods "Good, let us return to the Netherrealms to make preparations. As a sign of good will allow me to heal her." Quan Chi says stretching his hand towards Blake and restoring her aura. He then creates a portal and walks inside. Scorpion lays her on the ground and starts heading into the portal. Just as he begins to enter Blake wakes up, still dizzy and watches as Scorpion steps through the portal disappearing.
