The galaxy was left shaken after the sheer violence of the Daleks' attack which took place against dozens of worlds, hundreds of systems. As the planetary governments took stock after the invaders left as quickly as they arrived, the destruction and the death toll were repeatedly taken stock of, over and over again.

The Clone Wars, already one of the most destructive conflicts in the galaxy's history, although it was the first galactic war waged in the galaxy for a thousand years since the New Sith Wars, suddenly….stopped.

The Republic and the Separatist territories The Core had been hit the worst, but news slowly trickled through the galaxy in ripples the Outer Rim territories; the Hutt worlds were bombarded, desert worlds like Tatooine and Jakku were hit with plasma and other weapons which glassed a large chunk of the surface.

While communications were still out while engineers struggled to repair them, rudimentary communications were still possible. The Jedi Order, in between their jobs of conducting intelligence missions to see if the Separatists were planning to take advantage, moving their Temple population away from Coruscant and to Tython once more, sent knights and padawans as messengers to different planets to discover the long term damage caused against the galaxy.

For two whole months, the galaxy took a breath. Many chose to evacuate from Coruscant. That was hardly a surprise, as the planet had been devastated, and many were being inoculated from radiation sickness. The spaceports had been destroyed, and many were struggling to rebuild them as the priority list was extremely high.

There were still people trapped inside some of the devastated areas of Coruscant, and by the time many of them were found, rescue teams discovered they were either dead from starvation or radiation sickness. The centuries of Coruscant's occupation had seen layers of the city expand across the entire planet. These layers would be built up over the centuries until the air had to be recycled, water would be recycled and food had to be processed.

The virus and the nuclear weapons the Daleks used on the city planet had eaten through layers of the concrete and metals that were built up over the years, and the processing and recycling plants had been the most heavily hit targets before they were nuked.

Many in the Senate were considering the possibility they had to leave Coruscant, and set up temporary accommodations in the Hosnian system, but many were against it. They claimed it would take far too long to establish the Senate somewhere. Others were considering the possibility of disbanding the Senate altogether, although they were accused of being separatists themselves. This kind of thought process led to many cases of paranoia. But the idea still persisted.

Kamino was one of the planets that was hit the most. As the birthplace of the clone army, it made sense. The Daleks had bombarded Kamino before the cloners even had a chance to fight back before the Daleks personally invaded the cloning facilities, massacred the Kaminoans and then destroyed the incubators. Years of work, gone.

When the Senate heard this news, many of them wailed in despair because the clones were the last line of defence against the Separatists and the Jedi were too widely spread thin throughout the galaxy to combat the new threat of the Daleks properly.

Supreme Chancellor Palpatine slowly began considering the possibility they should build an army of droids of their own design, an idea that was met with sharp criticism and was rejected on many levels as many believed they couldn't fight the separatists by becoming the separatists, but as Palpatine argued the viewpoints, many felt it was the best option at least until the Kaminoans could rebuild from the damage they'd endured.

But while the drawbacks were ignored, many of the active clone units were hit hard by this news. They had been fighting against the separatist battle droids for a long time. The idea of themselves being replaced by the droids angered and put them out. The Republic eventually had to reassure them they would be designing a new form of battle droid, one far beyond the Separatist models, and it wouldn't be forever despite the massive problems that came with setting up a droid army as they would need factories to build them.

It was worse in the Separatist territories.

The Daleks had known precisely what they were doing and they had targeted Serenno, Geonosis, and many other planets. The Daleks had taken advantage of the Separatist's weaknesses, their use of battle droids, and technology, and they had hit them even worse. That was the reason why they hadn't attacked anyone or anything in a long time. They were trying to rebuild.
