Enjoy the story!

Jessie, James and Meowth, plus the ever loyal Wobbuffet have more or less given up on the Pikachu hunt. "Da twerp da champ now, there ain't no way we nabbing Pikachu." Was the words Meowth said after they found out the news. So they just do small things now, hit up some pokemarts, steal wild pokemon. But, it was not as fun, not as exciting as chasing after Pikachu. They all realized that. The trio was headed to Hoenn for a new, boring, job.

"How come this is so much more, I don't know, lame?" James asked taking his seat, by the window.

"We shouldn't complain, the boss is at least giving us jobs." Jessie said taking the aisle seat.

"But, I miss jumping da twerp with crazy costumes." Meowth added hopping into the middle seat. The three sighed at the same time, remembering the past. "We may've lost a bunch, but, it still pretty fun, you dig?" Meowth mumbled, the all nodded, somberly.

"Oh, that row is free." Said a voice that sounded a little familiar. The trio looked up and eyes went wide. "Hey, isn't that one of the twerp' friends?" Jessie asked watching the spiky hair boy sit down. "I.. Think." James replied, also watching.

All of there breaths hitched when they saw a raven haired boy step into the plane, with a Pikachu on his shoulder. They watched like a Noctowl would it's prey, they watched him and his older friend sit next to the spiky one. They shared a look of wonder and jumped from there seats.

It's been awhile since the old opener.

"Prepare for trouble!

And make it double!

To protect the world from devastation!

To unite all peoples within our nation!

To denounce the evils of truth and love!

To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie!

James!

Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!

Surrender now, or prepare to fight!

Meowth!

That's right!"

Those were the words our heroes heard before looking at Gary will killing intent, Pikachu included. "H-Hey! How was I suppose to know they were here?" He tried to defend himself.

Before they could even react a wheezing and Arbok was sent there way, the owners not far behind, they wore faces of excitement. Ash' face mirrored them. He'd be lying if he said he didn't miss those buffoons. "Go get em Pikachu!"

Team rocket and Ash stared each other down, wearing faces of wonder and excitement. Brock then tugged on Ash's sleeve. "We can't start a battle in a MOVING plane!" Ash shook him off. "I'm not, they are." Gary just gripped onto his seat, as if it would take him away from all of this. All the passengers were piling to ether side, hoping to stay away from the battle.

"Wheezing! Poison gas!" James commanded, with a hair flick.

"Arbok, Double Edge!" Jessie yelled, throwing her hand out.

Ash scoffed and ordered. "Pikachu, dodge and use thunder bolt!"

Gary sprung from his seat and lunged at Ash. "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!" Ash just smirked at him.

The rest was blur to Gary, he thinks he saw Arbok slither away from the bolt and it hit the side of the plane and... Wait, it feels wet... Gary opened his eyes to find himself in Brock's arms. "YOU'RE AWAKE!" He heard the elder yell. Gary looked around to see nothing but ocean. "W-What happened?" He saw other people, thankfully unharmed it seems. "Ash. His thunder bolt hit the side of the plane." Brock pause and let go of Gary so he could swim on his own, Gary silently thanked his gramps for teaching him to swim. "It fried the planes controls and, we went down." Seeing that no one is hurt is a sign that Arceus is real. Gary sighed, "This time, he's gone to far..." Brock looked at him with a questioning gaze. "Huh, 'This time?' What do you mean-" Before anyone said anything, a boat came blaring it horn, coming to pick everyone up. "I'll explain later." Brock nodded.

"Wait, where's Ash?!"

Ash groaned as he rolled over on his side. "Agh, mom a few more minutes..." He then felt a sharp pain in his side. He moved whatever it was... His eyes went wide when it saw that it was a rock. He sprung up to see that he was on some sort of island. He saw no one else. "Is this death?" He asked the world.

"I surly hope not, I'm to beautiful to die now, and so young!" said a mature, feminine voice.

He turn to see that he was no longer alone. No, he was stuck with a rocket trio.

On an island.

With no one else.

With no way off it, well, for now.

This is going to be great...

Gary and Brock thanked the coast guard that saved them and, after drying off, started to look around, hoping to find a pokemon center. "Where do you think we are?" Gary asked running a towel threw his hair. "Not sure. Maybe Sinnoh." Brock answered beating his head, trying to get water out. "That would make some sense." Gary mumbled remembering the world map. He then pulled Brock into a side hug, which surprised the man. "Thanks for saving me, man." He then pulled away. "Just wanted to say that." Brock laughed at the boy. "Anytime, dude."

The duo walked into the nearest pokemon center and checked the map. "Yep, we're in Sinnoh." Gary said sitting down after he was done looking at the map. Snowpoint city is where they are. "Where do you think Ash is?" Brock asked sitting next to his friend. "He might've drifted onto one of the weird islands not far from here..." Gary mumbled pulling up his collar, it was quite cold. "You seem confident that he's okay." Brock said, fear in his words. The other boy just shrugged. "Eh, it's Ash, I'm sure he's fine." He's done more stupid shit in the time I've known him. Gary muttered in his head. "Yeah..." Was all Brock said.

The two just kinda... Sat there. They didn't know what to do. They were in Sinnoh, not Hoenn. Ash was missing, the reason that both of them were even on this journey. They were lost.

Well, until...

"Brock? Gary?" The two heard a voice that sounded painfully teenage. They looked up to see a boy with a glasses staring at them. Gary had no clue who he was. Maybe a fan? Nah, he didn't have any fans... Not anymore. He decided to ignore him. That was until Brock jumped from his seat and called out. "Max?!" Brock knew him!? Max? That sounds somewhat familiar. He watched his older friend wrap his arms around the boy and he returned the hug in time. "Who are you?" Gary thoughts spilled out of his mouth.

"Gary, this is May's younger brother, Max." Brock explained like he was suppose to know, wait, was he? Gary eyes went slightly wide. "You're May' brother?!" The boy nodded.

The duo was now in a rented room, payed by Max, playing the catching up game. "So you guys are looking for my sister?" Max asked fixing his glasses. Brock nodded. "We heard from Ash that she went missing, so, we were worried and went with him." Gary held in a scoff and thought "I'm not here for HER! I'm here for... I..." Gary he shook his head. "I don't know why I'm here..." Why was he here. For Ash? For May? For... Himself? Gary let out a sigh, that Brock didn't notice.

"Why are you here, Max?" Brock asked. A cocky grin formed on his face, it reminded Gary of Ash. "To challenge the league, of course." Gary let out of laugh. "Let me guess, you lost in the Hoenn one." This flustered Max and easily broke that cocky. "That! That is not important!" Gary laughed again. He was right.

Max then cleared his throat, hoping to stop Brock laughing. "Anyway, where's Ash? If you went with him."

Gary sighed. "Right..."

Brock and Gary explained pretty much everything up to this point, leaving out the crossdressing, and how they went down into the sea.

"That doesn't sound like Ash at all..." Max mumbled, cleaning his glasses.

"Yeah." Was all Gary could say.

"Do you guys know why he acted like that?" Max asked putting his freshly cleaned glasses on.

Brock shook his head. "No. I've tried to let him do what he wants, but, it's gotten more and more extreme." He said recounting Ash's actions.

"I may have an idea." Gary chimed in, pulling the other twos gaze to him.

"Really?!" Brock was surprised.

"What is it?" Max was curious.

"Well... It starts with love, pokemon and other delusions."

*Gasp* Did he just say the title!? This chapter was more a bridge to the next, which should be much longer. I hope you enjoyed regardless. BTW. Still taking pokemon team recommendations. See you later Friends of fanfiction!
