Yo friends of Fanfiction, I'm back with chapter 16 of Love, pokemon and other delusions. I still don't know what that title even means, it's mostly an inside joke for me, I hope it's somewhat funny to you guys. Well, enjoy the chapter!

Maybe Review?

I don't own anything! Well, other than this story?

Ash, Gary, Brock and Max stood at the entrance of route 217 and the exit of Snowpoint city. It was time for Max to part ways with the group.

"I really want to come with you guys, but..." Max mumbled, pushing his glasses up.

Ash placed a hand of the young man's shoulder, "Don't worry, I understand, and I bet May would too."

Gary gave him a thumbs up, "Yeah, you've come this far, you can't give up on the league now!"

"Thanks guys..." Max thanked with a smile. "If anything happens, just call, I'll come running!"

Brock nodded, "Got it. We'll keep you informed."

"Well, I'm off!" Max turned around and dashed into the grass of route 217, not before looking back and waving one last time.

The trio watched until he was out of view, once he was, Gary said, "We gotta find her."

Ash was confused by his friends words, "Huh, what do you mean?"

Gary flashed a cocky smile, "We gotta find that four-eyes' sister, and quick, dammit!"

Ash smiled wide when he heard these words, "Yeah. We have to!"

Brock placed a hand on each of the boys' shoulder, "Then let's get a move on."

Ash nodded, full of determination, "Yeah, we need to get a ticket to Hoenn, and fast."

Gary sighed, "Hopefully we can without too much trouble..."

Paul walked the streets silver town in thought, he didn't have a league battle today, so he was left to his own devises today. This fact made Dawn quite excited, it, in her own words, had been awhile since the two had a moment of relaxation. Paul did agree, but he just couldn't get things off his mind, a certain memory from before he left to Johto polluted his mind, it was a moment with his brother.

Paul and his brother Reggie were having a carefree day, it wasn't all that different from the norm. Even since encounter with Ash all those years ago, Paul has tried to be a better brother to his only remaining family member. They were sitting in the living room of Reggie's home/breeder center watching some pokemon-based TV. It was mostly just something to listen to as the two brothers talked about their respective pokemon journeys. Reggie was recounting a specific memory of his encounter the three lake guardians of Sinnoh. This shocked Paul, his brother had never mentioned that he met the the lake guardians, he would think that Reggie would love to talk about the one in a lifetime encounter. "You actually meet Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf!?" Paul asked in complete and utter shock.

Reggie calmly nodded, "That's right." He closed his eyes remembering the moment. "I was flying on my dragonite when I spotted an island not on my map. It was called, Sendoff Spring. I, naturally landed and started looking around. I then found a large pool of water, it seemed so very familer to the lakes around Sinnoh." He opened his eyes to gauge Paul's reaction. He laughed when he saw that his brother was absolutely gripped, he continued his story, "I ran my hand through the water, and it was then why they came to. All three of them, all of them were staring at me."

"But I thought they each had their own lakes? Why were they at the one?" Paul asked.

Reggie shrugged, "I'm not sure. But, they were there."

"What did you do?"

"I..." Reggie trailed off..."I asked for power..."

"Power?!"

"This was after I lost to Brandon for the third time, you remember, don't you? I came home for training..." Reggie recounted with a wry smile. "I thought they came to me as a form of help..."

"So you asked for power? To beat Brandon?" Paul questioned to confirm what was going on.

Reggie nodded with a slight smirk, which felt odd on his normally cool, calm face. "That's right." His expression fell after that... "But, they didn't give me anything..." He slammed his fist onto the arm of his chair, "Those dammed 'guardians' just teleported me off the island!"

Paul was taken-aback by his brother's outburst, "They banished you?"

Reggie calmed himself down with a sigh, "Yes..." He looked at the display of his badges and the like, the Brave Symbol forever absent. "They... used some sort of power on me, and then removed me and my dragonite of the island."

"What do you think they did to you?"

"No idea." Was all Reggie said. Before mumbling something Paul just barely heard, "I will find them again..."

"Hey, Sinnoh to Paul." Paul was pulled out his trance by his traveling partner. "You okay there? You've been space out for good minute." Dawn said with concern.

Paul shook his head to get himself back to the real world. "Yeah. I'm alright..."

Dawn frowned, placing a hand on Paul's shoulder, "I can tell that isn't the truth."

Paul let out small chuckle, "You can see right through me now, huh?"

Dawn scoffed, placing a hand over her heart, "We have been together for awhile, I guess you could call me a 'Paul expert.'"

Paul laughed, "Yeah, maybe a little."

"So, what is it?" Dawn asked again.

Paul tried to look away, but Dawn's gaze was too intense, so he sighed in defeat and said, "I was thinking about my brother..."

"Again?"

"Yeah, I feel... uneasy about how I left him..."

"You said goodbye."

"Not that way..." Paul said with a wry smile. "I mean... How he was when I left..."

"Are you worried about him?"

"Something like that..." Paul mumbled looking up to the sky.

That's another chapter done! I know these chapter are not very long, but I don't have as much time, so I just want to get some sort of chapter out before it's been, like TWO months or something. I plan to get at LEAST one chapter out a month. Maybe, If I have time, you'll get more, but don't expect them to be too long now. By the way, what's your favorite perspective? Paul and Dawn? The trio? The villain's? Those are the three prespectives that I plan to fly between as I write these chapters. Well, enough rambling, see you later Friends of Fanfiction.
