Daisy's POV
Sunday Afternoon
Wilhelmina Studios- Beverly Hills, California
Every single time I am convinced to come out here, the more I hate what I do. Why can't they get the hint and my constant declining of their offers and fuck off? Sadly, I already know the answer to that and it's not going to stop anytime soon or ever. The tedious task of driving about four hours out here or even flying out here multiple times a month is annoying. There's no way in hell that I am moving out here either; they can get that out of their heads this instant. I'm content where I am at. I don't want to leave Vegas and everything I have there. It's not a lot but I have Kait, and I have Paul. That's my family out there. However, I do have family out here too, they are considered my family despite not being blood related. Blood is toxic, especially my family and I sometimes have the desire to be born into a different family. Did my existence only come about so I can continue this legacy? Click. Am I more than this? I used to be so passionate about modeling and all that came with it. It made me feel like a princess. All eyes were always on the queen, and I was to inherit the throne. Who knew being a princess was such a fucking curse? Who knew that the throne I inherited was barely kept together and I struggled to keep it one piece? But no one cares what the throne looks like, not everyone gets to see inside that room. They merely see the castle and what a beautiful sight it is. People see how well constructed the castle is but will still point out the smallest crack in the wall. Despite that, the castle is beautiful, but no one cares about the interior if the gates are closed off. Click. "Miss Mero, we have arrived. Are you alright, you seem distracted?" A voice asked, showing concern, I snapped my head over to the right to see the back door opened. Right.. We arrived.
"Yes, sorry." I forgot that I didn't come here by myself, that's something I am not allowed to do anymore. A hand reached out to me as the woman in front of me gave me a warm smile. Grabbing onto her hand, she helped me to my feet and shut the car door behind me. I am fully capable of doing everything myself, but I appreciate the small gestures like this. "Thank you, Sonya." Whenever I am on the site or traveling to locations, I have to be accompanied by a security guard or two. I don't like being babysat. But the sad reality of this world is that there are monsters that aren't afraid to pounce on unsuspecting prey. Not even because it's the circle of life but the thrill of the hunt or the chance to have an unobtainable prize. Sonya Deville is my newest bodyguard that travels with me. She started accompanying me about eight months ago and was handpicked by Heyman himself. She has a background in MMA. Long, black hair that's always put back nicely in a ponytail. Sonya stood a couple inches shorter than I do without heels on, wearing a nice blazer suit. A much larger and taller frame came into my view, which is my second bodyguard and the one that's been assigned to me for the longest. Paul made sure that I had his best guard by my side. He stood about six foot three inches taller with long, black hair that goes past his shoulders, normally nice and slicked back. His beard and goatee have grown out a good bit but the rugged look does suit him. Despite wearing a suit, his muscles are still well defined and massive like a professional athlete. If he wasn't wearing this suit jacket, his traditional tribal tattoos would be on display for the world to see. His presence really shines through and gives quite the intimidation factor, like a chief should. "Roman, I forgot to ask earlier. How's Mox doing?"
The taller man looked at me with a soft smile. "He's recovering nicely. Almost good as new, he's already back in the gym after completing physical therapy."
That's a relief to hear, I haven't heard much about Moxley but then again, I haven't reached out to his wife in a while either. I am shitty at communicating with people. "Remind me after we are finished here to give him a call." I'll need to get his address and send some flowers out that way. If I remember correctly, he and Renee had their daughter a couple months back. Fuck. The three of us continued to make our way to the main building, my mind trying to flicker back to what happened that caused Moxley to get hurt. Son of a bitch now is not the time for this bullshit. I can't recall if I was even told why I was sent back to this hellhole. What do they seek from me now? Can't I breathe for a while in peace?
"Yes, Ma'am I shall, but I hope you know that what happened wasn't your fault. It was a shitty situation. If Jon were here, he'd be laughing his ass off telling you not to worry about it. He's crazy and would probably do it all over again." That does sound like that lunatic, I don't know where Heyman found him but I'm glad that he did. I'll have to get in touch and see if there is anything at all to help out.
The doors slid open as I looked around the sadly familiar building. Nothing ever changes around here; I heard a voice that managed to make my blank expression turn into a small smile. "Daisy, there you are gorgeous! I have missed you so much!" Speaking of family, my gaze shifted to the woman walking over toward the three of us. She's a couple inches shorter than I was, with beautiful, long blonde hair and mesmerizing blue eyes. The blonde pulled me into a tight embrace which I eagerly returned. This woman is more of a mother to me than the actual woman that gave birth to me. Torrie Wilson is someone that has been friends with our family since before I was even born. She's one of America's hottest models and has earned that title numerous times over the years. Heh, Auntie Torrie is the only woman that has consistently ranked higher than my mother. Rightfully so, I thought people turned their heads for me; it's a whole different level with her. This is the queen I should have followed instead of the evil one. "You are looking like a million bucks, sweetie!"
"Auntie Torrie, I should be saying that about you! Look at you, you're smoking." The hug ended as I gestured to her outfit. She's wearing a denim blue jean jacket and a white crop top that stops above her stomach to expose her abs. The crop top had several cuts across it to expose some bottoms were white denim shorts that stopped a couple inches past her ass, I've always been jealous of the stellar figure she maintains. The outfit was completed with knee-high brown cowboy boots.
"Thanks sweetie, you always know how to make this old gal feel great."
"Shit, you're not old. You're aging like fine wine." That's the whole truth, this woman hasn't aged for the last ten years. She might be in her forties now but doesn't look a day over thirty. Finally, I noticed the folder that was in her hands which probably has to do with work. Right, this isn't a family visit unfortunately. "By the way, why did they summon me down here again?"
"Did they not elaborate that with you?" Honestly, I am tipsy half the time whenever I am working back home anyways. The only reason I didn't have anything to drink on the way here is that Torrie dislikes my drinking habits. She has good intentions, but I have to numb this somehow. The older blonde turned to face my two bodyguards, who had remained silent during the entire interaction. "Sonya and Roman, why don't you guys go grab a bite to eat and join us in studio three afterwards? You deserve a break."
Both of them gave Auntie Torrie a perplexed look and they turned to look over to me. Of course, neither one of them would do anything without my approval first. Especially Roman, he doesn't like for me to be out of his sight for very long. His reason is justified but he doesn't need to overwork himself for my sake. "Yes. Go get some rest and food. I'm okay from here." I turned over to Roman and gave him a big smile and a nod.
"Yes Ma'am, I'll be sure not to take too long." Sonya dismissed herself, heading in the direction of the front entrance. Reigns still hesitated for a second but followed Deville to head out for something to eat.
Torrie flashed another charming smile and opened the contents of the yellow folder. "The reason Baskow had you fly down here is because Vogue is having their shoot for their Top 10 models of 2019. Like last year, the top five consisted of girls from Wilhelmina and Baskow. Have you not seen their rankings at all?"
"Not really, I honestly forgot that the rankings come out at the end of November."
"Here. Take a look." It seems weird that the period that they use for their ranking is from November until October. Why not make it simple and do it from January until December and release the list at the beginning of the following year. Whatever, I guess that would make too much sense for them. The blonde grinned and passed the paper over to me. Let's see what happened this year. Number one was Auntie Torrie followed by my mother at number two, I couldn't help the growing smirk across my lips. Heh, bitch lost again this year. Third on the list is Maryse Mizanin, God of course, she is mother's favorite sidekick. She was number four on last year's rankings. Number four on the list was me. Oh. This is why I am down here. The previous ranking I managed to secure fifth place. My popularity is continuously growing so it's not really a surprise to see me on this list. But still, why doesn't this make me happy? With the extra money, I guess Kait and I can go on vacation somewhere. Rounding out the top five was Eve Torres, a veteran model for Baskow that is currently at the Miami branch. "See look at you go; this is the second year being in the top five and you even beat one of your senior models! I'm proud of you, Daisy. My number one spot might be in jeopardy next year."
Torrie has always been one of my biggest supporters. No matter how big or small the accomplishment is, the blonde woman has cheered me on. "I still have a way to go for that." No one has mentioned this accomplishment so far that I am aware of. There was one thing I wanted to ask her but sadly, I think I know the answer. "Have you spoken to my mother? I assume she's seen the list."
"Yeah. She's not happy I beat her again. But other than that, she hasn't said much.." Why am I not surprised? Rena cares solely about herself and that stupid bitch that she wishes was her daughter or some shit. A hand rested on my shoulder as Torrie gave me a big smile. "But hey, you're doing amazing, don't let her silence get to you." Her hand grabbed the back of my head, pulling me closer to rest it on her shoulder. …Why can't I have a mother like you? The blonde understands my feelings and knows what I truly desire in life. I'm not chasing it anymore, there's no point but still I wish there was a chance. We stayed in this comforting hold for another thirty seconds or so. I needed that but let's get this work shit over with.
The both of us continued up the flight of stairs leading to the second floor where they normally handle all the special photoshoots. The entire time, I noticed eyes glancing over in our direction, small whispers can be heard. What are they saying? I don't care. It happens every single time I come out here anyways, it's because I am Rena Mero's daughter. They are threatened by me even though none of them need to be. Reaching the top of the stairs, we turned the corner to go down the left wing. "Thanks Torrie, I-"
Not able to even finish my sentence, I felt someone bump into me. Jesus Christ, the impact didn't manage to stagger me any, but I heard a thump and the sound of multiple items hitting the tile floor below. What happened? Who? My eyes looked down to see a petite blonde on the floor, I don't recognize this one. "Oh em gee, I am so sorry!" She spoke apologetically as the small blonde looked up to meet me in the eyes. Now I was able to get a better look at her face, I can confirm that I have no idea who this one is. Her hair was a honey blonde color, long but braided into a singular braid. Her eyes were baby blue, and her skin had a natural tanned complexion that really showed off her freckles. She let out a small gasp as she continued to stare at me, her eyes widened. "Oh no, Miss Mero, please don't-"
"Are you okay? I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention. You aren't hurt, are you?" I asked, as I crouched down to help pick up the mess that I helped cause. Almost every paper had managed to escape the confines of the yellow envelope.
I reached over close to one of the papers and noticed that the woman raised her arms up almost in a defensive position. I see.. She's scared that I am going to hurt her which means… Rena has at some point. I grabbed some of the papers, putting them in the folder. The unnamed blonde skittishly lowered her arms down to her side, her breathing slowed down. "No, I.." The woman didn't finish her sentence as I managed to grab all the papers and tuck them safely in the envelope. Grabbing the cowgirl hat that got knocked off of her head, I made sure not to startle her as I put the hat back on her head. Her eyes focused on the hat for a few seconds before she flashed a small smile. Cute. I stood back up, extending my hand to her. "I'm so sorry.." She said, blushing, as she grabbed a hold of my hand, and I pulled her effortlessly back to her feet.
Now that I can get a better look at her, she's barely five feet tall. Got some good curves to her, I am not sure if she's a model, an intern or a receptionist. One arm was clutching the folder tightly against her and the other hand was resting on top of her hat. "It was my fault, don't sweat it. Sorry again, have a good day." She flashed me one last big smile as Torrie and I walked past her and down the hallway. Let's see what they want me to do with this ridiculous photoshoot and pray that I can get it over with fast enough. I'm starting to crave some food and a little bit of a martini.
A couple hours later.. At Torrie's House
The photoshoot lasted about two hours but a majority of it was mainly getting my outfits prepared and my makeup redone. Why couldn't I have taken the photos at Baskow and send them in? What's done is done and now I am going to relax the rest of the day. I know they want me here for another day or two, but I am assuming it's more shoots or helping out with the newer talent. Beats the hell out of me. The one positive that comes out of this situation is that I get much needed family time and not have to deal with my mother. Okay enough about the negative, let's focus solely on the positives. That's what this mediation is supposed to accomplish or to clear my mind out completely and help me destress. My normal methods of destressing include drinking my weight in alcohol but that's not allowed in this household. I understand completely and I don't intend to break the rules. Auntie Torrie is one of the few people I'd never disrespect like that. I don't know how long I have been sitting crisscross listening to the sounds of birds and running water. It does relax me a bit. The weather was brisk but not cold enough to need a jacket, the sun was out shining brightly. Pure silence with the exception of the meditation music and the sounds of nature.
Torrie is always about this inner peace and zen shit; it's the exact opposite of my style. She has more experience in life and knows the correct way to handle things like stress and intense emotions. When was the last time I felt this relaxed and was able to breathe like this? One image popped into my head and a smile made its presence known. That damn woman that manages to flip my entire world upside down. Becky.. Someone that manages to catch me off guard several times with her unpredictability. A woman that treated me like a normal woman and gave me a level of intimacy I never knew I needed. One and done, that's how a one-night stand works. Kait gave me the idea to go out with the other models and get laid. I was so against the idea, but she managed to convince me somehow. She said it would make me feel better and be less tense. She was right. I haven't ever really had a sex drive or found anyone really attractive. Was I defective or was everything else preventing me from feeling such things? I want to repeat what happened the other night. I want to feel that way again.
The sound of the patio door sliding open caused one of my eyes to flutter open. "Tea is ready ladies." Looking over toward the origin of the voice, I noticed Torrie stopped her mediation as well and turned her attention to the woman. Her dirty blonde hair was long and straight, trailing halfway down her back. One of the only women that I have ever met that was naturally taller than I was. Once a model in her own right, she was mainly known for her luscious long legs. Wearing a tank top and a pair of shorts, she was able to showcase her slender figure. The blonde is the wonderful wife of Auntie Torrie, her name is Stacy Keibler-Wilson. Stacy has done numerous amazing things throughout her career; she competed on Dancing with the Stars in season two where she made it in the top three. At eighteen she was a cheerleader for the Baltimore Ravens and has acted in numerous television shows.
Auntie Stacy made the decision to retire from modeling back in 2013, that's whenever the couple decided it was time to start a family. In February of 2014, Stacy found out she was pregnant with their first child, it took a few times for the couple to fall pregnant. I remember being so happy for them. I was seventeen and at the time, I was living with them temporarily while my so-called Mother fired my last nanny. While Torrie wasn't home as much, Stacy helped me with my educational needs and made sure I learned the same as if I was in school. I stayed here in LA for a couple months until I turned eighteen and was able to get my inheritance. I moved into the place that I call home now. Both of them are amazing mothers to their daughter, Ava and their son, Bodhi. "Thank you, sweetie, you make the best tea." Torrie stood up and made her way over to her lover, giving her a small kiss on the lips.
The taller blonde giggled, her gentle hazel eyes watched me stand up to my feet and held her arms out excitedly for me. Right, I haven't actually gotten to see her yet since she was in with the kids getting them to lay down for a nap. I hugged tightly onto my other motherly figure. "Well, I know my girls have been very busy today. Daisy, Torrie told me you made the top four this year! You've been doing amazing over at Baskow."
We followed the leggy blonde inside the house, sliding the door shut in the process. Sitting on the marble coffee table were a couple cups of steaming hot tea. "Thank you, Stacy, whenever I get back to Vegas, I will be working with Ric Flair on another project. He wants me to be the poster girl for their new clothing line called 'Legacy' and also their new cosmetic line called 'Stylin' and Profilin'." I'm not sure what the clothing line is going to be like yet however I really love the stylish robes that Flair has. I wonder if I could get a custom one made.
"That's wonderful sweetie! You've worked with him a few times, yeah?" Stacy clapped her hands a few times in excitement.
I nodded my head as Torrie and I sat on the couch together. "Mhm, his daughter Charlotte is going to be assisting me and making sure everything is perfect." The younger of the blondes walked across the living and started making her way closer to the hallway. She's going to check to make sure Ava and Bodhi are still asleep, but the woman is remaining within earshot.
"It's going to go perfectly. You are the most experienced girl there after all and the lead Heyman Hustle girl after all." I wanted to voice out that I didn't want to be in this position but as of right now, I am the best choice. The desire to walk away from the industry grows stronger everyday but a couple chains keep me close. I never want to let Paul down so I'll make sure he has a replacement that will surpass me. As of right now, I am thinking Toni or Alicia will become the next lead girl. "Speaking of, did you go over to Paul's for Thanksgiving? How is he doing?"
"Yeah, I spent the majority of the day over at their house and it felt pretty nice. He's doing great. The past few days have been something." I wasn't planning on doing anything that day, holidays haven't felt the same since my childhood. Back whenever it was peachy, and smiles were genuine because I was a naive little girl. Heyman called me that morning and insisted that I join them. Kait went back to see her family in Texas but did try to get me to come with her. I didn't want to be a bother, if anything I could have come out here earlier. "So, I decided to go out clubbing with a couple of girls on Friday, I haven't really hung out with them much. But I ended up meeting someone.."
My heart fluttered thinking about Rebecca again, God, I am such an idiot. What's wrong with me? Torrie gave a really big smile; she parted her lips to speak but didn't get the chance. Stacy ran excitedly back over to us, plopping herself onto the couch next to her wife. "Oh, I need some details about this! Who is she? Is she a buddy of one of your model coworkers?"
"No, she's a bartender at the club I went to. She was off that day but went there with one of her friends who wandered off wherever. Said friend was the one that caused my attention to go over their way, she shouted something about the Heyman Hustle Girls." That purple haired girl, I believe her name is Mercedes. That's the only friend that Becky has mentioned to me.
"So, she's a fan of yours, are you sure that's a good idea Daisy? You know.." Auntie Torrie started to say, her voice showing concern. I understand where she is coming from but she's nothing like any of those people. I could tell that from a single glance.
"No no, her friend is. I managed to catch her attention before she was able to leave. For the first time in forever, someone asked me for my name. It gave me a sense of normality. Becky didn't recognize me straight away and was so skeptical whenever I told her who I was. Rightfully so, I wouldn't believe it either if the shoe was on the other foot. I bought her a drink and got to know her a little. Her family is from Ireland and her accent is to die for and she has fiery orange hair." I have never seen rock orange hair quite like her besides Hayley Williams. "I asked her to say something in Irish for me, she called me beautiful. Never in my life had someone blindsided me as much as she did." Out of all the things Rebecca could have said, she had to go and make my cheeks red like that. She said it so elegantly and without a second thought.
"Okay that's smooth as hell, not going to lie. I'd melt too." Torrie chuckled, taking a small sip of her herbal tea. I fucking melted too. A small sigh escaped me as I reached down and grabbed my cup of tea. Taking a small sip, I hummed in content and placed it back down on the coffee table. Stacy makes the best tea.
"It's so cute to hear you so excited about someone like this." Stacy chimed in, reaching past her wife to playfully shove at my shoulder. I'm well aware that they are going to tease me for telling them all this, but they are my motherly figures. My Ma doesn't know that I am gay because Rena would never support such a thing. Not due to the fact that she is homophobic; she is actually quite the ally. The problem stirs with the fact that it's not what she has my life planned out to be. It's nonsense, I am not going to marry a man. Never. I came out to Stacy and Torrie years ago and of course; they give me their unconditional support. Plus, Auntie Torrie had to tease and said that she knew a long time ago.
Gee, this next part is going to be a little more embarrassing, but I have to commit to the entire story to see what advice they can give. My hand rested against the side of my face, my index finger scratching my cheek. "Well, you see, I had a motive that night and …I invited her back to my hotel room."
"Really?! I didn't think you had something like that in you." You know, you weren't the only one that thought the same.
"Dish me dem dirty deets!" Why are you such a gossip girl, Auntie Stacy? Also why did you have to go and phrase it like that? I feel like that's a reference to something I am not understanding. I couldn't help but chuckle. Torrie glanced back to her wife, raising her brow as the leggy blonde, who couldn't stop laughing. "I-I'm kidding.. But seriously, did this Becky girl treat you nice and respect you? If I find out she didn't, me and her are going to have a big problem."
"No sweetie, you are very likely to throw hands. You know why that's not a good idea, I'll handle her." I don't know which woman is more dangerous, I have seen both of them throw hands before. Torrie has gotten into a couple fist fights with my mother and she usually wins.
Taking another sip of my tea, I replied with a smile. "For the first time in a long time, I didn't feel like a walking dollar sign, and I felt like a normal woman. She didn't treat me any differently from anyone else and I didn't realize how much I yearned for something like that." At first, it was amazing to get the special treatment, but it ran its course years ago. I am no one special, I am a woman that wants to be treated like a normal girl. That's why I adore Kait so much, she was the first person that did just that. "The next morning, Becky didn't bail on me or anything and stayed around. We talked for a bit and got ready for the day. She told me she thought my freckles were pretty and it left me baffled. You know how our industry can be; I have never heard it as anything other than a flaw."
"You sound hooked on this girl already, and this Becky woman seems like a good girl. Please tell me you got her number?" The younger blonde looked over to me as I begrudgingly shook my head from right to left. "Daisy Nicole, why not!"
"Becky was there for a one-night stand too. But now looking back on it, I am starting to regret it."
It was my conversation with Kait that made me realize what a blunder I managed to make. Whenever you feel a positive connection with someone, you have a desire to keep them in your life. Someone that doesn't have to force my laughs and smiles. "That's easy, you know where she works now. Just go in there and ask her for her number to set up a date." Wait a second, Auntie Torrie is right. Rebecca works there with Ronda. If I want to see her again, all I have to do is strut in there and talk to her.
"That's true, what if she doesn't want anything more than that?"
"You can be fuck buddies then." The former dancer stated nonchalantly, honestly, I do enjoy that idea very much. "That's how Torrie and I started out and look at us now. Been married for seven years and have children together.."
"You never know the outcome unless you try. But by the way you talked about her, I highly doubt she'd reject you." Torrie placed a hand on my shoulder, giving me a couple small pats with an encouraging smile. The blonde turned back to her wife. "But mentioning our married life and our kids, there's something we got to show you.." Stacy smiled, getting up from her seat.
Stacy gave her wife a small smile as she walked over to the kitchen counter to retrieve her purse. Now they have managed to pique my curiosity after a single sentence. The leggy blonde walked back over to us with a piece of paper in her hand. It was a whole sheet but a skinny paper that was long in length. What the hell is this? Stacy handed me the object in question, joining us on the couch on the other side of Torrie. The second my eyes gazed at the paper; I was instantly able to realize what I was looking at. "Wait.. that's.." My lips pursed into a wide grin, looking at both of them. It's an ultrasound and Stacy's name is in the top left corner and the date in the opposite corner, it was taken a couple days ago. "You're.. Oh my god, congratulations! Auntie Torrie.. Auntie Stacy, this is amazing!" Something so beautiful is happening once again to the greatest people I know. They deserve all the happiness in the world and another bundle of joy will do just that. Seeing a happy family like this is bittersweet, it's what I wanted growing up. I didn't get that but am I going to get a future like this? Who knows.
Becky's POV
Monday Evening..
Raw Fitness Las Vegas- Northwest
It's about ten minutes till six in the evening whenever we arrived at the gym that we were hoping to become our new workout spot. Raw Fitness currently has some of the highest rated faculties in Vegas, but the Northwest one is closest to all of our houses. The reason we are here so late is that we had to wait until Bayley was done with everything school related plus get some clothes to work out in. Charlotte and I spent a couple hours hanging out while we waited for our favorite little schoolteacher to be free from her shackles. CharBar was in a pretty good mood and well, I didn't have much conversation with my mother, so I was in a good mood too. Cedes was still at work for another hour or so, she mentioned hanging out with someone after. Probably one of her many fuck buddies, it's fine; they can deal with her for a while. We don't need to risk getting kicked out of here if we decide to come back. "Here we are, god I hope this doesn't kick my ass too much!" Bayley said enthusiastically, being the first one to close her car door and make her way closer to the entrance. Have I ever mentioned that I love walking behind Bayley? Especially with those red booty shorts she has on, I have been blessed today.
I chuckled lightly, questioning how in the world the brunette still has so much energy. She's been teaching kids all day and gets up around the time I get home from work. "Best thing is to always start slow and build up for it. Cardio might be great to work on for now." I am not going to mention my cardio workout this weekend but boy, I don't think this will be much of a hassle compared to that.
"She's right. My studies and Dad's business ventures have made me slack on my workouts." Shit, she could have fooled me. I am astonished with how she manages to balance everything on her plate as is. Now Char is going to be helping her dad with this new client so that's going to be days or even weeks of extra work.
"Shut up, Char, you both still look like a million bucks." I said, gesturing between the blonde and Bayley, who gave the cutest of smiles.
"You do too, stupid but thank you." I'm not going to argue with that, I know that I am pretty and recently have been really reminded of that fact. Still baffling but I have to improve on loving myself some more. That goes on a roller coaster at times, it always has its ups and downs. We walked into the gym and the first thing that I noticed was the red and black color scheme. The mats on the ground were black and the walls were painted red. The gym was actually pretty busy considering that they close in about an hour, we don't plan on staying that long today. Charlotte had taken the lead, the blonde went around the corner and almost bumped into a man coming from the opposite way.. "Oh-"
Thankfully both parties were able to stop themselves from knocking into each other. Geez Char, watch where you are going! The man looked to be about the same height as Charlotte and of Mexican or Spanish descent. His hair was black, shaved on the sides but the top was slacked back into a manbun. He had a full beard and goatee, not too long but not stubbly either. The stranger was sporting a black tank top, showing off his decently sized muscles and black and white basketball shorts. "Sorry about that." He apologized, stepping to the side and allowing us to pass by him.
"I-it's cool.." Charlotte responded back, almost nervously, walking past him and we followed behind her. After a couple steps, I noticed that the blonde turned and looked back but her gaze wasn't on us, it was on that guy. "Hot damn."
"Take a picture, it'll last longer." I said cheekily, nudging the blonde in the side a couple times.
"No Becks, that's creepy."
"And staring at him isn't, come on Char, let's go.." Bayley shook her head in disappointment, grabbing a hold of Charlotte's hand and dragging her over in the direction of the treadmills. The blonde let out a little whine like a child not wanting to leave their favorite section of the store. Jesus Christ, she looked like a deer in headlights. We made it over to the treadmills, placing our bags on the bench closest to us. I took the middle treadmill, Charlotte took the one on the right of me which meant Bayley got the one on the left. Running has always been something that I enjoyed in my adult life. Not so much as a child even though I played basketball and was on the swimming team in high school. Despite all that, I did fail gym class. As an adult, I gained an appreciation for working out. It's a good stress relief too. Plus considering my job, I am not afraid to slam a drunk bastard on his ass if Ronda or security doesn't get a hold of him first. About forty minutes passed before I knew it, perhaps it's more exhausting than I thought.
"Hey Becks." I swear to god Charlotte, if this is something about that man you keep staring at, please go talk to him. I've never seen you so mesmerized by a man's appearance before. If I wasn't here with my friends, I would have my earbuds in and jamming to music while I did my work out. I've been slacking whenever it comes to my exercise, I am feeling it today already for sure. "Becks, don't ignore me." Her tone sounded almost childish, which is pretty funny to hear at times, one of her worst pet peeves is being ignored. I pull her leg and pretend to ignore her before CharBar figures out I am messing with her.
My hands gripped the handles on the side of the treadmill as I looked over to one of my besties. "What's up Char? Are you done eyefucking him and finally going to go talk to him?"
The blonde coughed, her face became a brighter shade of red as she avoided making contact with me. Someone like a Flair being timid and shy is really hilarious to me, it's really cute. "I- No, that isn't what this is about." She pressed a button on the treadmill to have it come to a complete stop and stepped off of it, giving some soft pants. "There's been a chick checking you out for the past ten minutes or so now." Charlotte said matter of factly, her eyes glancing over to our right where the weight benches are.
"Really? How do you know she's not checking you out? I mean, she could also be checking out BayBay." I gestured over to the brunette, who was still running on the treadmill. Bayley gave us a quick glance as my attention turned over to the weight benches. I want to know who this chick is that's supposedly checking me out. I am going to be realistic here, I'd be staring at BayBay in her booty shorts. Lord knows I have taken a couple peeks here and there. Maybe this chick likes tall blondes and Charlotte is oblivious to the fact that a woman is checking her out.
My eyes looked over toward the weight benches and immediately my eyes locked on with this stranger. She was indeed staring directly at me, the woman smirked, giving me a little wave. Those eyes, she's giving me hungry eyes. I recognize that lust filled gaze, what the hell do I do? What's with women suddenly paying attention to me? Do I go talk to her? I have no idea who this chick is. A voice attracted my attention back over to my friends, "Why is my name getting thrown around?" Bayley asked, releasing a couple soft pants. "Phew, I'm tired."
Ignore the fact that she's probably still watching me, if she's truly interested, she'll come over to me, right? I don't need to go chasing anyone. "Char noticed some chick is checking me out and she won't stop staring at that one guy that she almost plowed into earlier.." Lifting my hand back, I smacked Charlotte in the chest as the blonde cleared her throat. I fucking knew it, I smirked not looking back at her. Bestie wasn't pleased with my actions and whacked me upside the head.
Bayley let out a giggle and looked over to the mystery man before grinning back to Charlotte. The brunette walked over, wrapping herself around Charlotte's arm. "CharBar, you really should go talk to him, he's a cutie!"
Yeah I agree with BayBay, she's been so consumed with college and her father's business that she hasn't really dated at all. Charlotte deserves the world and who knows, this mystery guy might be a potential future husband. The blonde took a small glance over to the man again. "I don't know.. I.. How do I flirt?"
"Don't overthink it and if you go talk to your mystery guy, I'll talk to whoever is checking me out." I would say that is more of a question for Cedes but that woman goes to the extreme with everything. I really don't know how to flirt either so I don't know why the fuck she's asking me? But I want something good for my bestie so I will test the waters and go talk to this woman. Who knows what will happen but we will never know unless we try. Charlotte nods her head slowly, still not sure if this is something she needs to do. The answer is yes. "Great now that we are in agreement, good luck Bestie!" I exclaimed with a smile, shoving the taller blonde in the direction of her mystery hottie.
I heard the blonde release a sharp exhale, finally trudging her way over toward him. I don't know why she's so nervous; she's quite the catch. All Char needs to do is be herself. Alright, now to keep up my end of the bargain. Time to embarrass myself, I guess. Turning back around, I noticed her still looking over here. I don't know if she's been staring the entire time but I am not sure how I like all this attention. Is she afraid to approach me or is she baiting me to come over to her? Smart. I guess I'm biting. Before I could take more than a couple steps, I noticed her confidently walking toward us. "Heh, I see your friend ratted me out."
With her approaching, I was able to get a better look at her and realized that she's really beautiful. She was my height with long, wavy, black hair. Sporting an outfit wearing a tanktop with this gym's logo and a pair of booty shorts, I was able to admire her physique. Quite impressive if I say so myself, the perfect amount of muscle. If I had to guess, she probably works here. "Whenever my straight best friend figures out you're being thirsty, you aren't being subtle."
She chuckled, lifting up her tattooed arm to run a hand through her hair. "That's not my style; I was taking my time admiring the view." The raven haired woman said, flashing a charming smile. One arm folded under her breasts, pushing them upwards. Holy cow, those tits are pretty too. I know that she's expecting to catch me peeking at them, I am guilty as charged. What? You can't have massive tits and expect me not to look. I'll look respectfully, she knows exactly what she's doing. "..now I'm going to admire that gorgeous accent of yours." The stranger purred seductively which got my heart to thump wildly for a few seconds.
"Aye, it's always the accent-"
"Because it's sexy as hell Becks, like you are!" Bayley shouted enthusiastically from behind me causing me to mentally facepalm. She's so cute and always the best hypewoman. I don't have to worry about her saying some out of pocket shit either.
The raven haired woman's eyes mischievously shifted over to the brunette behind me. Oh I knew it, I wasn't the only one. "I'd listen to your friend, who might I add is also very sexy looking in her own right."
"T-Thank you! You're so pretty."
"Thanks cutie." She said with a small wink over to BayBay, who giggled beside me. She's smooth. Her eyes scanned both of us head to toe once again, she grinned. "You girls have to be new here because I'd definitely remember your faces. Shit, where are my manners? My name is Kaitlyn but you can also call me Celeste if you prefer."
Kaitlyn, that's a pretty name and her nickname Celeste is unique too. I can see it. Kaitlyn flashed another smile, extending her hand out for a shake. "The name's Rebecca but I prefer Becky. Nice to meet you, Kaitlyn." I smiled, reaching out to shake her hand. Boy, she has a strong shake.
"Hot damn! I like how you say my name." She purred huskily, giving me those hungry eyes once again, she's killing me. I don't know how much longer I am going to last before I give into growing urges. Kaitlyn hasn't really confirmed her motive but considering how those eyes have been piercing into us, I think my hunch really is correct..
"It's nice to meet you, Kaitlyn. My name is Bayley." The brunette beside me introduced herself, extending her hand out toward the raven-haired woman. Celeste gave her a soft smile, grabbing onto her hand and shaking it. The pair smiled at each other as the handshake lasted longer than mine did. Oh? Am I sensing a spark here? BayBay tapped her chin a couple times. "Celeste.. I swear I've heard that name somewhere else before recently."
"Were you looking up gyms in the area or a personal trainer perhaps?" Kaitlyn asked.
"Yupp! How'd you know?"
The raven-haired woman pointed to herself with a confident grin. "I am the owner of Celeste Bodiez. I used to work here before starting up my own business." That would explain the shirt. Celeste is a unique enough name that it lines up perfectly with some of the things that BayBay showed me.
"That's really cool that you have your own business, Celeste. Do you go to different gyms and recruit?"
"Not much anymore but I'd happened to be here today to visit the owner and saw a couple snacks so I thought I'd bite." She gestured between the two of us, licking her lips. Kaitlyn turned her attention to BayBay, pulling something out of her pocket. "Here's my business card, so if either of you are interested, give me a call. I'm very flexible so let me know whenever you are free and I'll slide you right in."
The younger woman let out a small gasp, looking at the card and then back to Kaitlyn. She smiled nervously, "R-right, I am definitely interested. I'll give you a call soon." Celeste gave a pleased smile, giving us a little wave and turning her heels to walk away. Wow. This is something I wasn't expecting to have an encounter like this today. My eyes looked over to the business as I heard Bayley mumble. "I.. I wasn't expecting to get a woman's number today.. Wow.."
The second I looked up at Bayley's face, I couldn't help but grin. She looked completely dumbfounded right now; her cheeks were definitely red. I noticed how nervous she was starting to get back but that gaze forward takes the cake. With a chuckle, I reached over and pinched her cheek softly. "Bay.. Your face is getting pretty red right now. Oh how cute, you already have a little crush on Celeste."
She smacked my hand away. "N-No, I find her really pretty, nothing wrong with that. You said so yourself." The brunette shook her head, trying to hide the red hue still on her cheeks. I find it so cute that BayBay has a crush on Kaitlyn. She hasn't really dated in a while either even though loads of people hit on her. I'm not counting Cedes in that group either because I don't want to know what that woman's thinking.
"Okay yeah but I'm not drooling and staring at her ass as she leaves." I countered back causing Bayley to gasp out. Busted. I'm guilty too but I am way more subtle than her. She mumbled something incoherently as I noticed someone approaching us. "Oh bestie, welcome back, how did your horny adventures go?"
"Um good, what about your chick?" Charlotte had a small little grin on her face with a bit more confidence in step. Something tells me that ol' Becks was right and CharBar has bagged herself a hot guy.
"Bayley has a crush on her!" I teased, pointing over to the brunette, who gasped out again as Charlotte cocked her head over to the youngest girl.
She waved her hands in front of her; oh it's so fun to tease such a cutie like Bay. "I do not! She's a personal trainer and I am going to give her a call. She's just what I was looking for and really pretty too." The brunette pointed to the business card in her hand, that last sentence doesn't strengthen your case any. It's okay to admit that you are thirsty for her, she's really hot so no one would blame you.
The blonde chuckled, resting her hands against her hips. "Okay Cedes Jr." Is that a compliment or an insult? I can't really tell. Bayley scowled, smacking the blonde on the chest. "Ow! Are you guys ready to head out? They close soon and I want to shower first."
"Charlotte's avoiding the subject of her mystery man, she's hiding something!" Wait, Bayley has a point, Charlotte hasn't said anything about how her conversation went. Now I am curious, we talked about Bay's crush on Celeste. Bestie needs to give some answers.
"No, I am not. His name is Andrade, he works with his family business and is a regular at the gym." A hot business man, of course that is her type, I should have figured. But I am glad that she was able to work up the courage to talk to him. Charlotte held up a finger. "Which reminds me, I am going to get a membership because I said I'd be back here tomorrow. Be right back!"
None of us even got a response in and the blonde was already running away from us. Oh dear lord, she really is hooked. "And she's off, I have never seen her so infatuated with a stranger before."
"So Becks, if I do meet Kaitlyn, would you want to join me?" Bayley asked, still looking down at the business card.
"I am not sure. She's a stranger after all, BayBay, how do you know she won't hurt you or something?" I can't help that I am a bit overprotective of Bayley compared to the other girls. She's the sweetest one of us and I don't want some woman trying to take advantage of that. Although the gazes she was giving me were completely different from the looks she was given Bayley.
"You are overthinking things. I felt a good vibe from her. You should come with me, it could be fun. She seemed really interested in you too." Bayley is a really good judge of character too; if you know someone is a bad egg if BayBay dislikes them.
Kaitlyn did seem interested in both of us but if the brunette has a crush on her, should I pursue further? That would be wrong to do but at the same time, I still don't know what she's after with me. She had a good personality about her and I wouldn't be against getting to know her better. I did say that I'd be willing to work out with her a couple times a week. Celeste did say that the offer was for both of us. "Perhaps, she did have a certain charm about her. We will see if I am busy that day."
Top of Binion's Steakhouse
An hour and a half later..
I'm not sure if ordering a massive piece of cheesecake is the smartest decision if we are wanting to work out and be healthier. It's not everyday that we could go to such a fancy place; Bay and I can't afford to drop three hundred dollars on a single dinner. Charlotte wouldn't let us pay a dime regardless of where we went out to eat. I never thought I'd ever eat at the top of Brinon Hall, it seems so surreal. A loud ringing sound managed to catch my attention away from the beautiful city view in front of me. Charlotte and Bayley stopped talking and turned to me as I looked down to my phone on the table. I turned it over and looked at the number, it wasn't anyone in my contacts and the number isn't familiar. It's a 702 area code so it's a Las Vegas number. Do I answer it? Wait, I bet this is Cedes calling me from one of her fuck buddies' phone. Twenty bucks says that she's drunk and wants one of us to come pick her up from god knows where. If that's the case, Mercedes can keep her pretty ass planted wherever she is until we finish eating. "Hello?"
"Hey Becky." Well this definitely isn't Cedes and her bullshit, this voice I definitely recognize but I can't put a face to it at the moment. The longer I thought about it, the closer I got to figuring out who the woman on the other line was. Wait a second.. My heart thumped a few times in my chest realizing who this might be. There's no way, right? "It's Daisy."
She confirmed my suspicions as I could only stay silent in disbelief. I never thought that I was going to hear from her again. That night was purely based on luck but hearing from her now, what the hell is happening? I looked over to my best friends, who stared at me baffled, fuck I forgot I wasn't alone. "Um, hold on one second.." Fuck, I am not mentally prepared to have another conversation with the most attractive woman that I have ever laid my eyes on. I looked over to Char and BayBay. "I'll be back, I have to take this." They both arched a brow and nodded their heads skeptically. Great, now I have to think of an excuse as to why I needed to step ahead to take this phone call. They better not eat my cheesecake if it arrives while I am out here. I made my way toward the entrance of the restaurant, taking notice that they would close in about an hour. Dodging a couple randoms, I made my way into the hallway by the elevators and walked down to the door to the stairway. "Daisy, hello hun."
"I'm sorry, did I interrupt something important on your day off? I can call back." She said apologetically, realizing that I was going out of my way to talk to her privately. I don't want my friends flipping shit over me talking to a model.
"No, you didn't. I have nosy friends. How are you doing?" I have to take the chance and talk to her now, because I don't know if she would actually call me back or not. I opened and quickly closed the door to the stairway, no one should traverse the amount of floors to reach the top of the building.
She chuckled. "I've been busy the past few days, it's nice to finally sit and relax. What about you?"
"Same shit, different day." I spent the majority of the weekend working and sleeping with my chaotic nine to five schedule. I'm used to it by now but sometimes it does limit my ability to hang out with friends. Bayley is mainly free on weekends and summer months, she's off work around the time I go in during the week. Charlotte has been doing more with her father's many businesses and with her classes, I'm lucky to see her as much as I do. Cedes has the most freedom outside of her classes. The main problem is finding Mercedes because she goes on many adventures. I am still sitting here in disbelief that Daisy Mero has decided to contact me after our one night stand. Whenever I gave her my number…- Wait. Wait a second, we never exchanged numbers; it was something I was thinking about asking her but I was afraid she'd reject me. I was regretting my decision after I left her. How in the fuck does she have my cell phone number? Does this classify as a red flag or am I overreacting? I shouldn't even think about complaining. Best way to figure this out is to ask the brunette herself. "By the way, I don't want to sound rude or anything but I don't remember giving you my number."
There was a small gasp on the other line, "Oh right, I should have started with that. Heh." She said awkwardly with a small laugh following. Daisy continued, "I happened to be in the neighborhood and stopped by Club Platinum. Ronda said that you were off today, and said you'd be in tomorrow. I'd be busy tomorrow so I asked her for your number and she gave it to me. I hope that's alright." Those four sentences were a lot to digest. Mero went back to Club Platinum on my off day, was her objective to talk to me again or was she there to party? Wait, the brunette isn't there to party especially if she's not there now. It's a little after nine and way too early to call it quits.
God Bless you Rousey. I love you. If I wasn't afraid of her decking me in the face I would actually kiss her for doing this solid for me. Holy shit.. Daisy really went back there to see me again. Every part of my body was starting to heat up, my lips curled into a big smile. My stomach feels like it's spinning and the butterflies are fluttering widely inside me. There's that feeling again, nervousness. How can one woman manage to do that to me? Relax, Rebecca. You need to keep it cool and see what's up. "Yeah, I'm fine with that. I'll save your number too."
"So, I was wondering, would you like to do something like last weekend again? I know that you were only after a one night stand so feel free to decline." The normal confidence I saw the woman display multiple times at the bar wasn't there at the moment. Her voice was softer, almost like she was as nervous as I was.
Now the question I should be asking myself is, do I want to have sex with her again? The obvious answer is yes. Yes I do. To be honest, the thought had crossed my mind a few times in the past couple days. I tried blocking out those thoughts, the chance that I was ever going to see her again were next to none. Why does someone like Daisy Mero want to see someone like me again? "I was after a one night stand, yes but I wouldn't be against doing what we did the other night again. It was really nice." Nice was an understatement, it was fucking incredible.
"Really?! Oh, I'm glad, I was thinking about it being more formal than a one night stand. Like we could go out somewhere for a bit before heading back to a hotel or even my place.." Going back to her place instead of a hotel room?! I wonder what kind of mansion a woman like her has.
"Y-You mean like a date?" And here I am stuttering like an idiot the second I think about an actual date with Daisy. Way to keep your cool, Rebecca. My heart was pounding so fast and hard in my chest that I was afraid that Daisy was actually able to hear it herself.
I hope she can't, that'd be embarrassing. What the hell, calm yourself, it's not she's laying on your chest to hear it. "Um yeah, we can call it a date if you'd like."
"I'd love too. When are you thinking..?"
"I'll have some free time before and after Christmas but I don't want to interfere with your plans with friends and family." Oh god, that reminds me that some more of my family will be coming back for Christmas. Mainly my father, my brother and mother-in-law, still way too much bullshit to deal with. Cedes is going to Boston for Christmas and Bayley is going to California to see her family. I haven't touched base with Charlotte and what the Flair family have planned.
"I am sure we will be able to make sure we have free time to see each other." I couldn't help but smile. I haven't been on an actual date in god knows how long. Every date I have been on has never led to anything, but this model has a certain charm about her. I thought she was drop dead gorgeous before I had confirmed who she was. A woman with a sense of humor is my cup of tea and plus she fed me, an easy way to my heart. Do I need to mention anything about the sex because.. Fucking wow, it was incredible. "Couldn't resist Becks now, could ya?"
I decided to tease her way, causing the brunette to emit a cute little scoff. She chuckled. "No, that accent makes me really wet." Her voice dripped in a sultry tone that caught me so off guard. Hearing her tone dropping several octaves like that caused a shiver to go down my spine, not because of fear but of pure arousal. Never has my body reacted in such a way before. "It's so hard to keep myself under control with how my pussy throbs thinking about you." She cooed on the other line, keeping that husky tone with every word, her accent coming in strong.
Fuck. That's the only word that comes to mind right now. She got me. I can't tell if Daisy is telling the truth or if she's merely pulling my leg. My core trembles at the thought. Of course, I am in a public place so it's not like I can find any kind of relief for this arousal. I need to say something. "...That was real dirty lass."
"Aw, did I get you all flustered now? But to answer your question, I guess there's something about Becks that makes me crave another taste. Happy now?" The first sentence was nothing but a tease and her voice returned back to normal after a small laugh. It caused my face to become flush hearing that she wants another taste of me. Like I know she was being very direct earlier about a date and returning to a hotel or even her house; hearing it like this hits very different.
"Aye good girl." I responded with my own sultry tone. Wow, I really praised her like that and I hate to admit that really didn't help my horny situation. Whenever I was pounding her with the strap, something snapped inside of me. I loved the feeling. Hearing her scream my name like that, I guess I really needed to find the person that brought that dominant side out of me. I really enjoyed it more than I ever imagined. My mind went back to the present and I remembered that I wasn't here alone. Charlotte and Bayley were in the restaurant probably wondering what was taking me so long. I am surprised they haven't come to look for me yet. "I'm going to go back in with my friends before they get suspicious of me. Is it okay if I text you later whenever I get home?"
I don't want to inconvenience her in any way and risk a rumor spreading about her. As much as I love my friends, I have to keep this hidden for now. Until I get the okay from Daisy but it's not like it's anything serious. We had a one-night stand and we are going to go out on a date. I still can't believe it. "Yeah, I'd like that."
"Me too. Personally I'd like to get to know you better, I mean I guess that's what the date is for too but uh.." Can I not go a couple sentences without sounding like an idiot? Of course that is what a date is for, I could easily learn the basics about her from the internet. Lord knows how many magazines she's been interviewed in. I bet I could go to a store and find several that she is either on the cover of or featured in.
"Nothing wrong with that. I'd like to get to know you better too." I am honestly not that interesting so what is there to really know about me?
"Let me know whenever you are free from all your fancy work and I'll clear my schedule. I'm pretty flexible so it shouldn't be that hard."
"Oh I know how flexible you are, will do, beautiful. Talk to you later!" With a quick goodbye, the phone call ended, leaving me alone in the stairway to digest what happened. Butterflies fluttered about in my stomach as I stared down at my phone displaying the call log. Reading the number over a couple times, my finger clicked on the option that said 'Create New Contact'. I am not sure what clever name I should use to hide her phone information. Eh, I'll think of it later. I saved the number and put my phone back into my pocket. I had about a minute to figure out what excuse I can come up with to hide my big smile. How.. I don't understand how within a couple days my life has gotten so much more exciting. I feel like my mind is constantly repeating itself but I can't control it. I sound like a hypocrite gushing about managing to secure a date with one of the hottest women in the country. Can you blame me?! What in the fuck am I going to do? I've gotten a second chance with the only girl that's ever managed to make my heart skip beats. What can I do to make sure I don't mess any of this up?
