Daisy's POV
Wednesday Afternoon
"So, what do you think about these, Miss Mero, which color scheme do you think screams Legacy the most?" The calm soothing voice of the blonde next to me inquired, opening up the portfolio to numerous color palettes and the corresponding apparel. The Legacy line deals with colors that are associated in any way with royalty. We haven't been discussing this for very long, we have mainly been discussing the cosmetic line. That's a lot easier to figure out and I can always change my mind later. God, I hope this remains a magazine article and photoshoot; I don't have any desire to do a commercial. Charlotte has been a joy to talk too, for someone still learning the ropes, she could have fooled me. The blonde has remained completely professional and doesn't act anything like Ric. She's looking gorgeous over here in her pink blazer jacket.
For a Flair, I feel pretty comfortable to be around. I don't have to worry about unwanted hands in places they shouldn't be, like some of these other perverts I've worked with previously. Don't jinx it, Daisy, but I am pretty sure she's straight as a line. "You don't have to be so formal with me, you can call me Daisy." I told her as Charlotte nodded her head, giving me a small smile. "Considering all the color palettes in front of me, they are all wonderful, but I am thinking the emerald green and rose gold should go with the black pants and the royal blue and purple should go with the white."
"We are mostly in agreement, but I do believe the purple and rose gold will go better with the black. There's still time to look at all the options." She's not wrong so I can see that the blonde has a good eye for fashion.
"Aesthetically you are correct, but through the message being portrayed, rose gold and emerald green are a better duo."
"Heh, looking deeper than just the contrast I see."
"My eyes see more than just color whenever it comes to this." I'm pretty sure I have been modeling since I was in the womb so sadly, I know way too much about this industry. Charlotte and I had decided that using colors associated with royalty would be the best choice. We both come from families that have a generational legacy surrounding them. We have an aura that radiates from us that people are intimidated by. Emerald green in royalty represents beauty, love and nature. Rose gold signifies elegance, warmth and femininity. I set down the portfolio and looked over to my purse. Ah, it's been a couple hours, and I can use a pick me up, thankfully I have just the thing in my purse. I walked over with a grin, "Hey Charlotte, do you want one?"
The blonde turned to look at me as I showed her one of the mini shot bottles. Charlotte arched her brow, looking at me baffled and at her surroundings. Is she making sure no one else is in here? "...At work.. Do you always carry these around?" She whispered.
"Never know whenever you are going to down an emergency shot to deal with bullshit. It's okay if you don't want one." That's code for I'm an alcoholic and I never leave home without them.
I started putting the extra bottle back into my purse until I felt a hand press against my arm gently. Charlotte gave me a smirk. "Hey hey, I never said no, I'll take one." Oh, I found the Ric in her, I handed the second bottle over to the blonde as I opened my bottle up. Bourbon was my poison of choice today; I have to rotate around or else I'll get bored of the taste. With both of our bottles, we tapped them together and down our shots together with ease. "Oh, that's good shit, you are a woman of taste I see." Charlotte laughed, turning the bottle around to look at the brand. Blanton's is my favorite brand of bourbon, and they even make these cute mini bottles.
"Royalty always has taste, isn't that correct Miss Flair?" The blonde laughed, nudging me in the side with her elbow. I don't know what it is, but Charlotte reminds me of someone, who, I have no fucking clue. I feel like she's seeing me like a normal woman. Like I know that we are working together on this project but it's just nice to have someone not drooling over me. There were a couple knocks on the door as I snagged the bottle from the blonde, hiding both of them in my purse. "Enter."
We both snickered like rebellious teenagers. I have no idea who's at the door, I hope it's not Ric though. Thankfully it wasn't the old geezer but instead Paul, who immediately looked to us. "Miss Mero, I apologize for the interruption, but I need you to come by my office for a few minutes. Is that alright, Miss Flair? I am terribly sorry for the intrusion.."
What does he need me for I wonder? Is this not something that one of the other girls can handle? I was having fun doing this project and that's saying something. Charlotte smiled and nodded. "We are progressing ahead of schedule and have most of the outfits and looks mostly planned out. A little break could do wonders, I have someone delivering some food for a late lunch and they should be here at any moment." A break would be nice, might be able to sneak another drink in after I'm done with whatever it is Heyman needs my assistance for. There was a sound of a phone beeping which belonged to the blonde. "Ahh perfect, that's them now, I'll be back in about thirty minutes to resume, is that okay, Daisy?"
The both of us deserve a break and I don't want to make her work while hungry; that's cruel. Speaking of food, have I eaten anything today? I can't remember. I don't feel all that hungry, but I'll pick something up in a bit to be safe. "Of course, enjoy your lunch, Charlotte." I watched the blonde turn her heels and walk away, placing the phone to her ear to I assume call whoever is bringing her food. I gave a smile and looked over at my manager. "Alright, Paulie, what's up?"
We started heading toward his office, he fixed his tie and spoke. "Well Miss Mero, do you remember those new potential signings I had discussed with you last weekend?"
"Ah, yes. I remember you said that there were two of them. What of them?"
"I have both girls currently in my office and both ladies have graciously signed on the dotted line with their manager and lawyer's approval." That's awesome, the Heyman Hustle Girls have had their numbers cut in half recently but that's mainly due to them relocating to other Baskow branches around the world. They are obviously still a part of the group, but it's been ages since they have been here. Eve is down in Miami and the other two are in London. There have been other girls but a lot of them can't handle the pressure and leave. "Miss Mero, with you being the massive star you are, I was hoping to introduce you to them and have you take them under your wing."
Should have known that's where this was going to go, it's always the case. It's fine. That's how it was with the last two girls that are still here with us. I've mentored others but the ones that survived the intense pressure migrated to other brands. Good on them. "More mentoring, Paul? Tedious but rewarding, let me see what I am working with. If they are anything like Deonna, they'll be a perfect fit." Deonna is our newest member to the brand that has remained; she's been around for a little over a year now.. She's known as 'The Virtuosa' and her popularity has been skyrocketing in recent months.
"Excellent." Paul has been trying to negotiate with the girls' manager for the past month or so. That tells me that Heyman really sees potential in these girls. I wonder if they could be the one that- No.. Let us not get ahead of ourselves, Nicole. The both of us arrived at the door to his office, he gently opened the door. "Ladies, sorry about taking so long, I'd like to introduce you to my star client and most pristine model, the leader of the Heyman Hustle Girls, Daisy Mero. " I wish he would chill on his introductions; at least this one isn't as over the top as his usual ones. One of them immediately looked over in our direction, the most defining features at a short glance was her gorgeous, wavy bright blue hair and chocolate skin. I couldn't tell her height since she was sitting down but those brown eyes lit up and she flashed a cute wide smile. The one thing I noticed is that the other woman hasn't acknowledged our presence at all. Her chair hasn't turned in the slightest as her back remained turned to us. Rude. "Miss Mero, allow me to introduce to the absolutely stunning Keira Hogan and-"
"With all due respect Mister Heyman, I am quite capable of introducing myself." A voice cut him off swiftly, immediately silencing Paulie as he looked over to me. What gives? What gives you the right to interrupt Paul like that?! Don't disrespect him! The mystery woman that previously had her back to us, turned her chair around. The first thing I noticed was her shoulder-length silvery white hair. She removed her sunglasses with a confident smirk printed across her face. Her skin was a beautiful shade of caramel and getting a look at her uncovered arms; I can tell that she has an immaculate physique. The unnamed woman stood to her feet and started to approach me. Wow, she's as tall as I am, maybe even taller. Heh, that's not something I see every day. "My name is Jade Cargill, the leader of the Baddies, and are you the best competition I have here? I've seen better." She arched her well defined brow at me, scanning me from head to toe.
Hm, this Cargill woman has enough self-confidence for the entire room, or is that merely all ego speaking? She's making an honest attempt to get under my skin. "Oh ho, and are you saying you are going to be my competition?" Jade stepped even closer after hearing my taunt, our faces less than a foot from each other as we stared each other down. Two sentences and I can see why Paulie sees her as a fit with the Hustle Girl brand. I'm not budging, not for something like this.
Jade cackled, gesturing to my body in a mocking tone. "Oh no sweetie, you can't compete with me. I'll knock you off that high pedestal so fast you'll be forced to retire, or are you going to go cry to Mommy to fix your boo boos after?"
Trying to hit me with a low blow mentioning my mother, it almost worked. But no sweetie, I don't need that woman for anything, I haven't for over fifteen years now. The amount of power I hold in my palm here is far beyond your comprehension. I leaned in a little closer, my lips curled up into a smirk. "Will you now?"
"Please stop-"
"Yes, I'm leagues above you, I'll do it right now." I'm glad to know that Jade Cargill isn't an easy girl to intimidate. I like that about her. She's not stepping back to make some distance between if anything, she's getting closer. Our bodies are so close that they are almost pressed against each other, well what do you know, she is taller than me, not by much. Heh, do it, I dare you.
Paul cleared his throat, gently pressing his palm against my stomach to get me to back away from our newest recruit. "Ladies. Miss Mero and Miss Cargill please this is unfitting for women such as yourselves. "
"Just a second Paul," I looked over to him and gave him a reassuring nod. I'm not going to fight her unless she hits me first. Either way, I know my position is safe regardless. I looked back at Jade. Why does this make me excited? I want her to push back. "Funny, you told me your name, but I have no idea who the hell you even are. Am I supposed to be intimidated by you? You think you are the first woman to strut in here and think she can take my spot. Get real. I'm Daisy Mero and you, Cargill, are at the bottom of the ladder. Climb up and try to knock me off, I welcome the challenge. I hope you don't fail the others; I already like you, Jade."
"It's going to be fun knocking you on your ass." She smirked, running a hand through her silver-white hair.
The blue haired woman, I believe her name was Kiera, walked over to Cargill's side. "Jade, that's enough. Yes, there can be healthy competition, but the Heyman Hustles Girls are a team like the Baddies are and we are here to represent both. Periodt." Jade arched her brow, looking down at her friend. She let out a sigh, folding her arms over her chest.
It seems that her fellow teammate was able to talk some sense into her; that or she became bored of the confrontation. Heyman noticed the tense atmosphere starting to shift into a calmer direction. He spoke, "Ahem, well, that introduction was truly something, ladies, would you like a tour of the studio?"
"Yes, Mister Heyman, I would."
"Right this way, Miss Cargill."
"We'll be seeing each other real soon, Daisy. I look forward to it." She gave me another smile, lightly pushing herself past me out the door.
"Same here." Is this finally the one I've been looking for? Only time can tell but I shouldn't think too much about it now. The four of us walked out of the office as Heyman and Jade started making their way down the hallway.
Hogan started to follow behind them, but she took a glance back at me. Her eyes lit up again as she gave me another big smile. Kiera has a cute smile, it's pretty infectious. I smiled, I turned my heels and started to walk back in the direction of the studio I was working in. Charlotte will be returning soon, and I'd like to try and get some prototype photos to show Ric. "Mister Heyman, may I have the tour another time? I'd like to speak to Miss Mero for a minute."
Paul slowed down his steps as Jade continued walking ahead. He turned back and looked at me as I turned to glance back at them. I nodded my head, curious as to what this new girl wants with me. "Very well Miss Hogan as you wish."
I watched Paul disappear from my sight with someone who is supposedly the next challenger for my throne. The blue haired woman exhaled a sigh, turning back to look at me and started to walk in my direction. "You wish to speak to me, what's the matter Miss Hogan?"
She let a small giggle escape her while nodding her head. "Please call me Kiera, and I wanted to apologize for Jade's attitude. She's always really competitive and doesn't take well knowing that she's not top dog here." So, with Hathaway's girls, she's the head honcho but now that she's in my ball field, she's determined to be on top here too. Jade's competitive nature has taken her places for sure.
"Very kind of you but you don't need to apologize for anything. You did nothing wrong. Competition is bound to happen in an industry like this, you always have to be ready to fight for that top spot." I shrugged my shoulders, looking down at her with a smile. I didn't realize the height difference between the both of us. Not going to lie, that ups her cuteness factor for sure. I'm not sure what it is about this girl, but I can see the heat of her determined fire radiating from her. "I look forward to working with you too, Kiera."
Her smile grew bigger. "Wow, I'm not going to lie, I am a huge fan of yours and that means a lot."
I don't understand, I am not that great. People wouldn't think that of me if I took my mask off, but it's been super glued on for God knows how long. Can I even take it off myself anymore? "If Heyman sees star power in you, I know you are going to do great things. Why don't you go catch up with them and get that tour? You can come meet me in studio 4 afterwards while I work on my latest project."
Might as well start my babysitting duties ahead of time, this will help me gauge her abilities properly. I hope Charlotte doesn't mind the company. Kiera gave an enthusiastic nod of head. "Okay, yes Ma'am, I'll be back soon!" I've had to remind her later to cut the formalities, every time I am called Miss Mero, I am reminded of the fraud that shares the name.
I watched Kiera speed walk down the hallway in the direction that Paul went with her friend until she disappeared from my line of sight. "Hey Daisy, is that the new girl? She's got some cake on her." Hm? That voice, I recognize who that is. The sound of heels against the tile floor signaled someone was coming near me. Wait.. it's not only one person, but that's also three pairs of heels clicking on the hard floor. I look in the opposite direction to see that I was correct, all familiar faces heading my way. The one in the middle had an exaggerated yet confident sway of her hips which was normal, her hands resting comfortably on her curves. Her blonde hair straightened down her back, different from her usual curly look. She's my height, with caramel skin and long legs that compliment her slender figure. Alicia Fox joined about two years after I took over as the head of the Heyman Hustle Girls. A very cheery woman that loves everyone, although she does have a little speck of crazy sprinkled in there.
"She looks like a cutie." The accented voice of the blonde beside her chimed in, flashing a wide smile followed by a little cackle. Toni Storm, a woman whose family moved from Australia at a young age. She's a couple inches shorter than Fox and me, sporting a short curled and bobbed haircut. Her look originally seems to be inspired by Marilyn Moore but that is not the case. Storm is an actress, mainly starring in old time musical productions or shows. Her inspiration for this 'Timeless' look of hers are Gloria Swanson and Norma Shearer. She's a creative genius and is definitely far superior in her field compared to the rest of us.
"One of them, yeah, the other has an ego so high I haven't been able to find the top." I stated nonchalantly referring to my latest challenger to my throne.
"We got more than one new girl, that's something." The third woman said, resting a hand against her hip, looking in the direction that Kiera walked off in. Deonna Purrazzo, an Italian girl raised in New Jersey, she's a nineteen-year-old girl with loads of talent for modeling. Paul saw her portfolio once and immediately signed her not long after she started modeling. I understand why she lives up to her name as 'The Virtuosa'. "What are we looking at here?" She asked, running a hand through her jet-black hair.
"Two girls from Stokely Hathway's crew known as the Baddies. Heyman sees potential in them, and I do too. Just don't let them strut in here and take your spots."
"Tch, never in a million years, so they think they are going to walk in and take our spots? Let 'em try." The Virtuosa scoffed, showing that Italian spice we have come to adore with her. I've always appreciated the amount of confidence she carries on her shoulders. Never cracking under the pressure of a challenge; none of us do, the new girls will learn soon enough. Kiera is going to be a joy to work with, I can feel it but she's too kind. I'm worried people will take advantage of that.
Time uncovers everything so the best I can do is wait and let everything reveal itself. None of want what happened numerous times before to happen again. We can't lose anyone else. Toni leaned against me, wrapping an arm around my waist. What is she doing? What's with the affection? "Deonna's right, darling. Countless women have tried over the years and it's us four left. What does that say about us? We are amazing, that's what!"
The three all expressed their agreement over Toni's words as I only nodded my head to agree. This feels so weird, I don't remember the last time I stood with them and talked to them. Alicia turned and looked at me. "Daisy, do you wanna hang out with us later? We were planning on going and getting some drinks." Wait, why are they inviting me to go out with them again? I didn't exactly stay with Toni and Deonna on Friday. I'm confused about this sudden interest in me; I'm not that exciting of a person. "I know you work a lot more than us, but I feel like we barely know you."
"Yeah sorry, I am very work oriented, it's hard for me to socialize and make friends." Not having a normal childhood has caused so many problems with me in that regard. It's like I hardly have a desire for it. But having friends, it's a nice feeling. Like whenever I am with Kait, my smiles are genuine. The only other person to bring those out of me was Becky and that's why Kait wanted me to talk to her again. That's why Torrie and Stacy wanted me to chase after her. Happiness is an unfamiliar concept to me now, but I do have moments that I forget all the pain. Running at something like that seems so futile but here I am, running full speed scared of what's to come. Am I fit for something like that? Life isn't some fairytale, it's unfair and cursed. Right? I shouldn't try to change that, or is that what my demons want me to think? Drinks sound good though. "I'm trying to get better at it. I'd like to go for some drinks-"
I felt a hand grab both sides of my face and force me to look over to Toni. What's with her touching me today? "But beautiful, we are all your friends here. We might not know each other that well but you know, that can always change." …Wait a second, did she say that they are my friends? What have I done to result in this friendship to come into existence? My heart, it hurts. It hurts from hearing the reassuring words. Fuck.
"Agreed, plus you helped us all here a lot especially me, I'd say that's a friend." Deonna added her opinion which got the girls to make sounds of agreement. I helped because it's my job to help, nothing more. Right? I want good things for all these girls; they work hard to deserve all the success they have earned. "I think we should invite the new girls too. Welcome them to the team and show them what they are up against."
That's a good idea. "I'll ask Kiera, I know she'd really like that we are including them. Jade might not come but I'll still ask her." Do I really want to have another conversation with her today? I'll have another shot or two before I deal with her. I'm not going to avoid her. I could hear the sounds of footsteps approaching but I knew that it wasn't Heyman or the new girls. I looked behind Deonna and Alicia to see familiar blonde hair and a pink blazer suit. Charlotte looked up from her phone and gave me a smile and a small wave. Oh, has it been thirty minutes already? "Oh, there's my cue to get back to work, um, I'll message one of you whenever I'm done to schedule when we are going out, is that alright?"
Alicia patted me on the butt, turning and looking at the Flair curiously. "Hells yeah, I'm so down to party! We will see you later, Daisy." She smiled, giving the both of us a wave, grabbing both Toni and Deonna's hand dragging them away.
"Bye guys." I don't understand why everyone is being so chatty with me recently. Oh well, it's kind of nice. "Welcome back Charlotte, did you enjoy your lunch?"
She nodded her head as we both walked into the studio. "Yeah, my friend Bayley makes this bomb enchilada casserole. She made some last night and brought me some." As I closed the door, I watched Charlotte put her massive bag onto the table. The blonde gave me a mischievous grin, reaching into her bag. "Wanna have a little drink before we get back to work? I have someone delivering the outfits so we should be able to get some photos today." The blonde held up a couple mini bottles of Fireball, waving it in front of me with excitement.
"You read my mind; I do have someone that will be joining me soon." I told the blonde, grabbing the bottle from her, sharing the exact same grin on my face. Charlotte knows the way to my good side, give me booze. I'm really a simple girl. The blonde cocked her slightly as she fumbled while opening the bottle. "She's new and I am going to mentor her, but I promise, she won't get in the way." Which means no more drinks while Kiera is in the room with us, but I should manage alright.
"That's no problem at all." I nodded my head as I unscrewed the top of the bottle immediately inhaling the strong scent of cinnamon. This is going to burn in the best way possible. At least now, I know that I can tolerate working on this project easily knowing that I get along with Charlotte. I kind of want this project to last a while. "Cheers!" Maybe I should invite her out with us tonight, I don't think the others will mind.
No One's POV
Later that night..
The group arrived at the bar between nine and ten at night, Toni, Deonna and Alicia were the first ones there and got a head start on drinks. Keira and Jade were the next ones to arrive about ten minutes later which gives the five time for introductions. Daisy was the last one to leave the studio, leaving about thirty minutes prior to the scheduled meetup. The brunette went to the Flair Estate to pick up Charlotte, so they didn't have to take separate vehicles. Of course, doing so meant that Ric had to stick his nose in their business and see the progress made so far. He seemed pleased with the prototype photos and outfits chosen. Daisy wanted to make the visit brief, not interested in being his ninth wife or something like that, she prefers to talk to him only at the studio.
The pair decided to share a cheeky shot before leaving the car, and walked into the little rustic bar that Alicia chose for their adventures tonight. Four of them immediately ran over to greet them while Jade watched from a distance only giving a small wave. Daisy and Charlotte went and ordered their drinks as some of the others went to hit the dance floor. Toni stayed with the pair, dragging them excitedly back to their table. Storm made sure that Mero occupied the seat next to her while Charlotte sat to Daisy's left. This gave Flair a good amount of time to introduce herself to the other model. After every couple songs, one of the pairs would return and sometimes trade partners, never leaving any woman by themselves. For the next two hours, the girls enjoyed each other's company, taking the time to get to know Kiera and Jade. Surprisingly Cargill has been pretty talkative with all of the girls since arriving with her bestie, even talking to Daisy on occasion but albeit not nearly as much as the others.
For now, all of the girls were resting after dancing for a good bit, enjoying what remained of their drinks. Jade stood up from her seat, causing some of the girls to turn their heads to look at her. "I'm going to get another drink. Does anyone want one? It's on me. Thank you, guys, for inviting us out." She gave them all a smile, patiently waiting for everyone to respond. Toni still had some of her cocktail left as did Charlotte. Deonna and Alicia were done drinking for the night and instead opted out to drink some water. Keira had also decided to stop drinking for the night since she was the one that drove the pair of Baddies to the bar.
"I'll take one please. You are a part of the team and of course you are welcome to join us anytime." The brunette across from her answered, the silver haired woman nodded her head with a wide smile.
Jade walked away from the table heading toward the bar. The blue haired model looked over to the brunette, giving another charming smile. "Thanks Daisy, I know you two had a rough start." Keira didn't like how Jade tried to immediately come in and knock their leader down but she's the type that doesn't back down from a challenge. Cargill wanted all of the Heyman Hustle Girls to feel her presence and she succeeded in that, especially to Daisy. Hogan wants everyone to get along, she's been a fan of theirs for a while now and joining the brand with her bestie, it's a dream come true.
Mero chuckled, trying to put the younger model at ease. "Nah, it's just competition, no biggie, plus I think Alicia hissed at me whenever we first met." She pointed over to the blonde vixen as Keira and Deonna both slowly turned their heads to look at her.
Charlotte was very confused, trying to visualize how the hell that happened as Toni laughed. Alicia laughed loudly, slapping her thigh a couple times. "Oh my god, I did! That Licia was unhinged!"
Toni patted Fox on the shoulder a couple times, still laughing. "Darling, you are still the same gem from back then. You have learned how to keep those crazy tendencies under control."
Daisy pointed over to the Australian with a smirk. "Toni spat her gum in my face."
The blonde scoffed, playfully smacking the brunette beside her on the forearm. She crossed her arms over her chest. "Pish posh, I did no such thing.." Her accent came in super strong as she was doing her best to avoid eye contact with everyone. "...alright I might have done that. But that was a different Toni, she's no more!" That got all of the girls to laugh as Storm casually went back to sipping her cocktail.
"Deonna threw ice water in my face."
The Italian woman pointed to herself. "Hell yea, I did. I wasn't going to let anyone tower over me and attempt to intimidate me."
"You passed the test with flying colors, kiddo."
Jade arrived back at the table with two drinks in her hands, she walked over to the opposite side of the table. She set down the glass in her left hand. "Here you go Daisy, this one is yours since I already took a sip out of this one." She pointed to the glass in her right hand that had a slight smudge of lipstick on the rim. "They make really good Cape Codders here."
Cape Codder is a cocktail drink that mainly consists of vodka and cranberry juice. Daisy didn't have them very often, but it did look really good. She took a sip of the strong drink and nodded her head. "Mhmm. You were right, thank you Jade." Daisy hummed in content, taking another drink as she watched the taller woman walk around the table and reclaim her seat next to Kiera.
"So, Charlotte darling, are you going to be running your old man's business here soon?" Toni asked.
Flair shook her head left to right. "Not all of them, no, some of them my brother, David, has taken over. My dad still runs a majority of them himself but after I graduate college, I am going to be taking over the clothing and cosmetic businesses."
"And that's the project that Daisy is assisting you with, right? Old man Ric chose her himself yeah?" Alicia didn't really care for the Flair man herself either, but most men like to eyefuck all of them. He's not any different but Fox knew of the keen interest he has for Daisy, probably since he's friends with her mother.
"Correct, my dad wants to test my abilities and see what I can do with one of the highest ranked models in the country." She's thankful that her father has given her this chance to show her talents. These years of studying and learning the ropes weren't going to waste. Charlotte got to meet Daisy and made several new friends today because of this project.
"Oh, that's right, weren't you number four this year?"
Daisy turned to Hogan and replied, "Yeah. I was ranked five last year, but I had something come up at the beginning of the year and I had to be shelved for a couple months..I feel like I could have been higher if it wasn't for that." The blue haired woman almost wanted to ask what happened but judging how the other models were reacting, it's better to not pry further. It had to be serious if it kept her out for a couple months.
"My rank went up from nine to seven, so I am content." Alicia said proudly.
"I'm ranked six again." Storm added in, very neutral about her placement on the list.
"I'm rank ten. Hmph, figures all the Heyman Hustle Girls in the country would make the top ten." Deonna said nonchalantly with a shrug. Two of the girls have been stationed in Europe for over a year now, one of them was their star dancer that mentored most of the girls in dance. The other helped with acting which Toni took that ball and ran with.
"Well duh, you are all smoking hot!"
"Thanks Kiera sweetie, you are a stunning ball of fire yourself." Toni purred in a sultry tone over to Hogan, who blushed slightly at the compliment. She looked over to the dance floor while setting her drink down, it wasn't nearly as occupied as it was earlier. Storm stood up from her seat, reaching over and grabbing the brunette's hand. "Daisy darling, come dance with me."
It wasn't really a request but more of a demand as the blonde practically dragged the taller woman out of her seat. "Toni, you are wearing me out!" Daisy let out a small whine as she followed Storm out onto the dancefloor.
"Have fun, bitch! This is payback for Friday." Deonna shouted, giving the brunette a mocking little wave goodbye and laughing afterwards. "She dipped and I had to deal with a drunk Toni all night by myself."
Alicia snickered, knowing how wild the Australian woman could get. She looked across the table at the taller blonde and smiled. She decided to bite the bullet and ask, "So Charlotte, what's your story, are you single?"
Charlotte giggled nervously at the sudden interest in her relationship status. That question managed to attract the attention of all the other four women at the table. They all were curious to know the answer as well. "I- What.. Yes I am."
"How?! Bitch, you're gorgeous!" Alicia exclaimed dramatically, almost slamming her hands against the table.
"Heh thank you, well I've been busy studying and stuff but there's this guy I met yesterday. I hung out with him a little today before meeting with you." She felt heart thump nervously a couple times at the mention of Andrade. The blonde wanted to scold herself, she barely knew the guy. Hell, she doesn't even know his last name?!
"Oooh, is he a cutie?" Deonna nudged the blonde sitting next to her as Flair confirmed by nodding her head. Here she was gossiping like a high schooler again whenever not all of her friends knew about the encounter yesterday. She felt comfortable enough with them to share this. "You should totally ask him out on a date."
"If she barely knows the guy, shouldn't she wait to make sure he's not a creep?" Jade asked skeptically, resting her elbow on the table's surface. She's a Flair after all which does make her sort of famous so the blonde needs to be careful. Cargill wasn't sure what to think about Charlotte at first, but she likes her and respects her.
"That's why I am meeting him at the gym, that's where I met him yesterday." Public places are always a safe bet whenever meeting and talking to a stranger. If they ever try to invite someone to their house on the first date, it's a red flag.
"That's really smart."
"If you ever need a workout buddy Jade and I will join sometime. We could be there just in case things get uncomfortable." Kiera offered, gesturing between herself and her bestie, who nodded her head in response.
"You'll have to give me your number, I might take you up on that offer whenever Becks or Bayley can't join me."
Becky and Bayley are mostly busy with work so having extra gym friends would be great. "Shit boo, come here, I got you." The blue haired woman reassured as Charlotte giggled, getting out of her seat and made her way over to where Kiera and Jade were to snag them digits.
'Heat' by Kelly Clarkson started playing as the pair that ventured onto the dance floor slowly started moving in sync together. Daisy stared at the blonde for a moment, debating on speaking about something that's been bothering her all day in regard to the blonde. She grabbed the blonde's hand and pulled her closer. "Hey Toni."
"Yes?" She asked, jumping side to side to the beat of the music, fanning herself.
"You are being weird with me today, want to tell me why?" Daisy asked, mimicking all of Toni's movements, switching to moving her hips in tune to the song. Neither one slowed their movements as they conversed. The brunette noticed that Storm had been paying a lot attention to her today which was very weird and almost making her uncomfortable. But that's mainly because she's not used to the affection, Toni is always like that.
"Nonsense, you are the one that's been weird. Something's been heavy on your mind. I'm not an idiot, you've been drinking way more at work." The blonde responded, causing the brunette to cock her head as she sidesteps to the right, dropping low to the ground before quickly coming back up. Daisy did the same as their palms of their hand touch, Toni closed the distance between them. "Darling, you know exactly why I am concerned; do you want to talk about it? Does it have to do with it being the holidays?"
"It's no one's concern but my own. But I appreciate the gesture, thank you." Daisy gave Toni a small smile despite the sadness that coursed through her at that very moment. She was trying not to think about it, but Storm was partially right. Mero assisted Toni, holding onto her hand as she twirled the blonde a couple times.
Toni giggled, relaxing against Daisy's body as the music was starting to slow down. It felt weird to have a woman this close to her, but Daisy didn't do anything to protest it. Once again, the woman felt the need to grab ahold of the brunette's face, pulling her closer. Toni smiled, pressing her forehead against Mero's. "It's what friends are for. I'll remind you every day until it seeps into your dense skull. We are a family, and this family has already lost people before, and I'll be damned if I lose anyone else."
'Don't let any of the girls get close to you, you aren't in this industry to make friends. You are here because of your superior genetics, our legacy and for the riches. They will only stab you in the back. They fear the Mero name. Make them fear you. But if you must, stab them back before they ever get the chance.'
Her mother's words popped up in her head. Her heart thumped in her chest a few times, recognizing the care that she had been so foolish not to see for so long. How wrong Rena is none of the Hustle Girls are like that. They aren't toxic. She has been brainwashed for so long now; it was also hard to see the truth. The genuine care that Toni is showing right now was definitely portrayed in those green eyes of hers. The brunette bit her bottom lip, trying to suppress any negative emotions that could show weakness. "...I understand the feeling all too well, I can't lose anyone else either. Thank you, Toni." This industry has caused them to lose several members of their crew and all of them so young. People don't understand that this isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Evil roams freely here, whether it be drugs, predators, alcohol or something even more sinister at play. Daisy sighed, but still smiled as the pair remained close to each other. Two familiar faces came into Mero's peripheral vision. "Oh, hey ladies."
Jade smirked as Toni looked over to see both of their new recruits, approaching. Storm chuckled, looking over at Daisy and took a couple steps backwards, moving some strands of hair away from her face. Cargill arched her brow, resting one hand on her hips. "...Did we interrupt something here? Are two.. you know?" She gestured to the pair with her other hand.
"Jade! Stop trying to get in their business." Kiera scolded, playfully smacking her bestie in the stomach. She giggled, looking between both Daisy and Toni mouthing an 'I'm Sorry.' Hogan noticed how they have been interacting all night so it's a good assumption to think such a thing.
"Hah, sorry, call it legitimate curiosity." Cargill laughed.
"It's fine and no we aren't." Daisy wanted to make sure that was clear. She wasn't attracted to any of her co-workers in that way; they would only lead to disaster. The only woman she's attracted to is Becky, the thought of the Irish Lass made the model crack a small smile. Daisy was going to clear her schedule so that she can make time for Rebecca. She needed to plan where they would go for a date.
"Miss Mero here couldn't handle 'Timeless' Toni Storm." The blonde cooed, glancing over her shoulder to the younger woman.
Daisy rested her hand against her hip, she smirked. "Mhmm, is that so? Is that why I am the only one always on top, sweetheart?" The sentence sounded way more sexual than intended but the look on the other girls was too hilarious to not continue. "Maybe one of the years, you'll top me but that's yet to be seen." She said cheekily as Kiera and Jade were looking between the two intrigued by the conversation going down.
"Oh, you are lucky you're beautiful, bitch, you would have gotten the shoe." She said with a slight snarl, trying to hide the slight pink hue attempting to appear on her face. Toni smacked Daisy's right breast and grabbed a hold of her hand. "Wow, that was exhausting, I am parched, let's go sit down for a bit."
"You ladies have fun, ack, Toni stop pulling so hard!" Daisy gave the new girls a wave as both of the Baddies exchanged a grin between each other. They shrugged as the pair immediately started dancing together.
The girls remained at the club for about another twenty minutes or so, Kiera and Jade were the first ones to leave. Saying goodbye and thanking them again for the invitation out. Daisy let out a small yawn as she downed the rest of her drink. The exhaustion was starting to come out of nowhere. She danced a lot tonight and did a lot of work at the studio today. The five remaining girls waited out in the parking lot for their respective rides. The first vehicle to arrive was a taxicab which was for the three women that live together. All of the girls exchanged hugs briefly as their ride parked beside them. Toni, Alicia and Deonna all waved goodbye to the two women remaining in the parking lot before climbing in a cab together. It's about midnight and the group had arrived at the bar at about nine. Most of the women had to return to the studio at some point tomorrow.
The night felt still young to the blonde woman, she was having a blast. Now her mission was to make her way down to Club Platinum where Cedes and her friends are. They are wasted and need someone to come pick them up. Thank goodness that Flair had a limo at disposal whenever she pleased. A lightbulb went off in her head and the blonde turned to the brunette beside her. The blonde was having a good time with the model; she wasn't like Charlotte had expected. Nothing like her mother that the young Flair had the unwanted privilege of meeting once. Daisy would be a really good fit into their little circle; Charlotte believes that Becks and BayBay will like her too. Cedes will drool like normal, but the blonde will stop that nonsense. "Hey Daisy, my friend works as a bartender, my other idiots are down there. Wanna keep the party going and meet up with them?" She knows Becks is working tonight because her bestie has been texting her the entire time.
Hearing the blonde, Daisy snapped her head over with a grin. "Fuck yeah! Does that mean discounted drinks for us!" She exclaimed, hearing that the duo might be able to go have more drinks and spend like half the money. Money wasn't an issue but it's still a nice thought. The brunette stopped and looked around for a moment. She's so confused. There was no one else around in the parking lot aside from the two of them. 'When in the hell did we get outside? Where did the others go?' Everything was all hazy, but Mero swore that the others were here just a minute ago. Daisy grinned, wrapping an arm around Charlotte, pointing over at her. "You.. You Charlotte are a boss ass bitch, you know that."
Flair couldn't help but smirk over at the younger brunette; it didn't help the inflated ego she tries to keep contained. "I've been told. I called for a limo because driving isn't the smartest option right now."
The brunette laughed loudly, waving her hand in front of her. She grabbed the blonde's hand and started walking over to her car. Daisy smiled, digging through her purse to search for her car keys. Nonsense, the limo doesn't need to come get them whenever her car is right here. Charlotte stood on the passenger side as the brunette jingled her keys in front of her, making her way over to the driver side. Flair looked over to Daisy and parted her mouth to speak, seeing something of interest and to voice that this idea is not smart. The model spoke first, opening the driver side door. "Shiiiit, I've driven drunker than this before-"
The door was barely opened whenever a hand forcibly pushed it shut and hard. The slamming noise startled Daisy as her hazel eyes looked at the arm beside her. She looked in front of her to see Charlotte looking over at the brunette confused, gesturing to turn around. "I'll kick your ass if you try to get in that car again." A female voice said with a low growl, whoever it was seemed pretty perturbed.
The voice sounded very familiar but before the brunette could turn around, a hand smacked her upside the head causing her to yelp out. "Ow! Rude!" She turned around to confront the asshole that dared to lay a hand on her. But instead of some idiot that was originally going to get a fist to their face, the brunette smiled at the familiar face in front of her. "Oh, hey Kait, why are you here!" She asked, latching onto her best friend and turning back to the blonde on the other side of the car. "That's my bestie, ain't she hot as fuck!"
Kait shook her head as her attention went over to Charlotte, who was looking at her with a confused expression on her face. "Wait.. haven't I seen you before?" Flair tapped her finger against her chin a few times trying to remember where she's seen the raven-haired woman before. The blonde felt like it was very recently but was coming up blank. "I.. I swear I have but where?"
'That is Becky's friend, what are the odds that Becky's friend is the one that Daisy is working with? Which means, this is Charlotte Flair. It lines up.' Out of all the people that her bestie had to be chilling with, it had to be one of the ones from the gym. "I believe you are mistaken." The raven-haired woman fibbed, not wanting Daisy to figure out that she met the woman she's head over heels for. Kait happened to see her and wanted to see what the fuss was about. It was a fateful encounter but not many people walk around with fiery orange hair and a sexy Irish accent. "You called me dumbass. You said to come pick you up. Gimme those." She said sternly, yanking the keys out of Daisy's hand. 'Something's not right here. The way she looks and the way she sounds are completely different.'
"Did I? Do you remember, Charlotte?" The brunette asked with a slight slur to the blonde, confirming Kaitlyn's inner thoughts about the blonde. The Flair woman shrugged her shoulders since she was too preoccupied with calling her limo to hear Daisy make the call.
Celeste massaged the bridge of her nose, trying to stop the impending headache from forming. She grabbed a hold of Daisy's hand, "Jesus Christ, come on bestie, it's time to go home."
"Buuut Kait-"
"Don't think I won't drag your ass to my car. You've had enough to drink." Kaitlyn couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right here. All she wanted to do was get home because there was a petite Latina awaiting her return. Out of all the times to receive a phone call from this moron. Daisy owes her. "Home. Now."
"It's probably best that you listen to her." Charlotte inserted herself back into the conversation which attracted both the other women's attention. The brunette parted her lips to protest but nothing ever came out. She had forgotten what she was going to say. "Thanks for inviting me out with your girls. I had a blast." It felt nice to go out with a new group of friends; Charlotte managed to fit right in with the group.
"You.. You are welcome anytime..."
"Are you going to be able to make it home safely?" The raven-haired woman asked, not wanting to leave an intoxicated woman alone especially at this time of night.
"Yeah, I have a limo coming to get me and I have to pick up my other drunk idiots at another bar." Charlotte replied, remembering that she got a text from Cedes asking for a ride back home. The purple haired woman and her newest friend, Saraya, decided to pester Becky at work. Knowing how Cedes operates, she was already intoxicated arriving at the bar.
"Alright, I'll stay with you until the limo arrives. Bestie, get in the car." There was no way in hell she was going to leave until she knew that Charlotte was safe inside a vehicle. Kait noticed that Daisy wasn't holding onto her anymore and also hadn't uttered a sound in about a minute or so. Celeste turned to see the taller woman staring directly in front of her, nothing was there but she looked deep in thought about something. "Bestie…?"
"Huh?" Mero turned to look at Kait with a confused look on her face; she bounced up and down excitedly. "Heeeey bestie! How long have you been here for?" Kaitlyn was starting to understand the situation at hand. This is not how her drunk bestie acted, she was never forgetful. Daisy was about to say something else, but a hand grabbed her face and forced her to look over at Kaitlyn. "Huh? Are you trying to kiss me or something, Kait? I knew you had the hots for me."
Ignoring the stupid comment from Daisy, Celeste connected more pieces of the puzzle together. The final piece was seeing what happens in the next few hours. Those eyes weren't natural. "... I see, fuck. I'm so glad I showed up whenever I did."
"I'm sleepy.."
"Let's get you in the car, stupid." Kait rolled her eyes, leading the model over to her car. 'The side effects are starting to really hit so either her body tolerated it well or she was given it recently. Forgetfulness is a common side effect. Daisy isn't dumb enough to take a drink from a stranger which means..' Kaitlyn didn't want to finish that thought; she didn't want it to be true. Especially not knowing that Daisy is starting to become friends with them, would one of them really do something like that? She's going to find out. The raven-haired woman opened the car door and made sure that Daisy was inside and buckled up. She sighed. "That was a close one."
Another five minutes or so had passed in silence until a limousine had pulled into the parking lot. Once the vehicle was parked next to the Flair, Charlotte spoke to Kaitlyn. "Tell Daisy that I'll see her tomorrow and be safe, you guys!"
"Will do Charlotte, same to you!" Kait gave the blonde a smile as Charlotte climbed into the limo, disappearing from her sight. She seemed pretty nice, not what she expected a Flair to be like. She's heard the horror stories of her ol' man, especially from her bestie. 'Do I need to look into her more..Is she the one..?' Making sure the passenger side door was closed, Kaitlyn walked over to the driver side and climbed in. "Daisy-" As soon as the name left her, Kait turned to see that the brunette was already asleep. She let out another sigh and started the car to head back to their house.
Charlotte sat in the limo with one leg crossed over the other while scrolling on social media. 'Today went amazing, way better than I ever expected. I thought models were snobby rich women that thought the world owes them everything. That's not the case. All the ladies were quite pleasant, so was Mister Heyman. At this rate, everything should be done by the end of the week.' She couldn't help but smile, growing more confident about taking over some of her father's businesses. This was her first big project and her father secured her with one of Vogue's top five models. Before going to meet up with girls at the bar, she managed to squeeze in some time to go to the gym. All with one mission in mind and that was to meet up with Andrade. She did tell him that she was going to return today. Surprisingly he was there and greeted her the second he saw her. Sadly, the pair were only able to chat and workout for about thirty minutes before she had to get showered up. The second time was easier than the first meeting, mainly because her friends weren't there pestering her. Charlotte managed to secure his phone number.
The ride to Club Platinum seemed to take forever, it felt lonely in the back of the limousine. Charlotte was hoping to bring Daisy along and introduce her to her friends but she understood her bestie being concerned for her wellbeing. That can happen another time. She noticed that the vehicle had come to a complete stop and peered out the window. The driver came around and opened the door for her. "I'll try not to take too long inside."
"Please take your time, Miss Flair."
Charlotte flashed him a small smile as she walked up to the entrance of the establishment. She noticed a familiar face standing at her post. The woman was six feet tall and of Mexican descent. She had long, dark brown hair and a physique that could match a professional athlete. "Hey Raquel."
"Been a while since you have visited Charlotte." She smiled.
"Yeah, I'm here to pick up my idiots. Have been really busy studying with school finals coming up soon." Apparently Mercedes had already tried calling Bayley but she has to get up in a few hours and get ready for work in the morning since it is a school night.
"Mercedes and her little friend, yeah?"
"Mhm, they are lucky I was already out or they'd be forced to ride in a cab." Charlotte has done this song and dance enough with her friends whenever they drink, mainly Cedes and Bayley. Becks is a tame drunk compared to the other two. Saraya is a new addition to the friend circle but she's pretty wild herself but also quite funny.
"They get to leave here in style, good luck on your school stuff." The female bouncer spoke again as Charlotte said a quick thank you and walked inside.
Charlotte walked into the gentleman's club, immediately scanning for her purple haired friend. The first place that the blonde looked was the bar which is always where Becks is stationed, her target was in her line of sight and she wasn't alone. A new but familiar face was sitting on the stool next to her, Saraya, Charlotte wasn't completely sure what to think about her just yet. The British woman is a ball of wild energy and matches Cedes so well. She was very kind to everyone although very flirtatious which everyone is used to those mannerisms by now. A certain orange haired lass spotted her bestie approaching, she flashed a big smile before tending to a new customer. Becky was manning the bar by herself tonight, it was a Wednesday so it wasn't all that busy. That caused Mercedes to look back curiously to see what she was smiling at, The Boston Native smirked as the taller blonde approached. "The Queen has finally arrived and looks really sexy, might I add."
Charlotte chuckled, fighting the urge to roll her eyes at the seductive tone in her friend's voice. "You are lucky that I was already out or your ass would be taking a cab home." She didn't wait for the purple haired woman to respond instead Flair turned her attention to the pale goth next to her. "Hello Saraya."
"Hello your majesty." Her accent came in stronger than usual as Saraya did a little bow for her. The raven-haired woman looked over to Mercedes and gestured to the blonde. "Hey Cedes, does she, ya know.." Saraya smirked, using her index and middle finger on both hands to make a scissoring motion. Charlotte wanted to facepalm, if that was her attempt at whispering and being subtle that was by far one of the worst attempts she'd ever seen.
"I've been trying for years but no, strictly dickly." Mercedes informed her, taking a sip of her alcoholic beverage. Saraya snapped her fingers at the disappointing statement, mouthing a 'damn it'.
"You try with everyone." Anyone pretty with tits and a vagina and the rare occasion of dick. Mercedes has always been flirty and adventurous, to her friends, it would be super weird if she didn't hit on them at least once a day..
Setting her drink down on the counter, Mercedes let out a chuckle. "Don't disrespect a girl for wanting to sample all the dishes before settling on her favorite. Exotic dishes, traditional dishes or even more luxurious dishes, all of them make my mouth water. Sometimes I really wanna stay in and have a home cooked meal, but the cook is very stubborn."
Becky walked back over to the side of the bar where her friends were located. "Hey CharBar, I'm ignoring Cedes and her thirsty comments." Becky had been dealing with these two morons for the past two hours, it's the most entertainment she's had all night besides the dancers. Mercedes looked at the younger woman with an offended look on her face as Saraya laughed. "Can I get you a drink?"
"Hey Becks, and no thank you, I've had enough to drink tonight." Charlotte's lost count of how much she's had to drink today, if she doesn't start sobering up, that morning hangover is going to hit like a fucking semi truck. The blonde doesn't want to risk losing any work time especially with this being her first big assignment..
"The fuck Char, you went out to drink without us!"
"Was it with Andrade?" The orange haired bartender smirked over to Flair, knowing good and well that she had gone to the gym to meet up with the man again. Becks was so happy for Char, she had never been so infatuated with a stranger before. So to learn that Andrade didn't ghost her, shows that he might actually be a good guy despite the douchebag appearance.
"No-"
"Wait, who the fuck is Andrade?!" Mercedes slammed her hands down on the counter, snapping her head over to the taller blonde. She's so confused, but that's a given seeing how she's the only one that didn't go to the gym with them yesterday. Cedes and Charlotte also haven't really gotten to talk much since then because of work.
"It was with the woman I'm working with. She invited me to go drinking with her and her friends-"
"Is she hot?" Saraya interrupted, her curiosity peaked.
"Yes. I'd like to think that the world mostly agrees.." Never in her entire life has she experienced so many eyes on her, but they weren't really on her. They were on Daisy and the other girls. Dozens of pairs glued to them as they carried on their evening like normal. It felt uneasy, some of the girls love the attention however Mero ignored all of it. It's almost like she hated it.
"Can you introduce us?" Mercedes asked with big eyes, gesturing between herself and Saraya.
"I invited her to join me here but she decided to go home for the night." Well it wasn't exactly her decision but her bestie was only looking out for her.
"Fuck! Like how big are-" The purple-haired woman moved her hands toward her chest as Charlotte facepalmed. Rebecca shook her head and buried her face in her hand.
"Do you have a picture of her?"
Charlotte sighed at the shenanigans of these two. She shouldn't have said anything to entertain this further. "Now I'm glad she didn't come because you two would ruthlessly pursue her." Daisy already gets enough unwanted attention and these two would keep pushing and try to bed her. The harassment could really ruin this business partnership and the potential friendship blossoming. "This is a big deal and she's a big client, I do think you ladies will like her."
"I'm sure we would if you like her, Char." Becky grinned, hoping to stop the stupid horny exchange from continuing any further. Charlotte had a great judge of character and was able to make friends easily. It only took one day and she went out with an entire group of girls. Rebecca wanted to tease and push because of her curiosity about this big client of hers. She wanted to know who it was.
"Come on Char, let me meet her, I'd respect the hell out of her!"
"I am also very respectful!"
"Maybe after I finish this project with her, so I don't have to risk you idiots jeopardizing that." The taller blonde spoke wanting to call them out on their bullshit. That's not the type of respect that was needed. She looked over to Cedes, pointing back to the entrance of the club. "But enough about that, I have the fancy wine you love in the limo. You can have the whole bottle if you get in the fucking limo."
The British goth's jaw dropped like it was about to hit the floor, she slammed her now empty glass onto the counter. "A fucking limo, I call dibs!" No sooner had she finished her sentence, Saraya was already making a dash to the front door.
Mercedes looked over to Becks, blowing her a kiss before hopping off the stool. "Raya, wait for me!"
Both women watched the purple haired woman run full speed out of the club, this doesn't surprise them. "That woman, I swear." Rebecca chuckled, stepping out from behind the counter. Finally she could breathe for the time being and relax, she gave the taller blonde a big hug. Resting her hand on her shoulders, Becky spoke again. "Charlotte, I'm really happy for this opportunity that you have gotten." All of her friends were starting to do something with their lives, even Cedes is in college right now. School wasn't for her, she went to college and dropped out. Compared to her friends, what was she going to amount too? Was she content being a bartender for the rest of her life?
"Thanks bestie, I'll probably introduce her to you first since I know you won't be a horny fuck like them." Bayley and Becky were people that she wouldn't have to worry about jeopardizing the partnership. She'll have to talk to see Daisy whenever they could all hang out sometime. "I have make sure dumb and dumber don't try to fuck in my limo." Charlotte shuddered at the thought. "Love you Becks."
"Love you Char!" Becky reached over and grabbed her drink, taking a small sip, her eyes glanced over to the stage. The wide smile slowly started to fade as her best friend walked away from her. Was this the sight she wanted to see every night? All of her co-workers are friends of hers and she's grown to see this place as another family. Same shit yet a different day. There was more to life than this, right?
