Lori felt really proud of herself for helping out Carol from causing any more damage or harm to many more innocent people. Best of all, she helped Carol learn the error of her ways, although the latter was still sent to prison as a punishment for her crimes before.
At least Carol wasn't going to get a very lengthy sentence like countless other criminals locked up behind bars.
Most people in prison don't really get the chance to redeem or want to be redeemed themselves. It is one of those scenarios where everyone cannot save everybody. But alas, it was one person reformed and redeemed for all the mistakes she committed. Hopefully, Carol can get out sooner than the scumbags held up in that place.
Now she and Lincoln were doing some more training in the bunker, and Lori was getting better with her powers. It was one step closer for her being the model superhero in the years to come.
But even superheroes can relax and have some time to themselves. Lincoln went back in the house to play some video games with Clyde after changing into his civilian clothes.
As for Lori, she was talking with her Bobby "Boo-Boo Bear" as usual, causing some more cheesy romance between them. "Oh Bobby." Lori giggled, "why can't all men be more like you? It's like we're literally meant to be together as a couple."
"Babe, if only all women are as beautiful and amazing as you." Bobby said on the other line. "Are we still going to Dairyland today?"
"You know it, Boo Boo Bear, pick me up in an hour? Ok?"
"Gotcha. See ya soon."
Lori changed into her civilian clothes so she wouldn't have to worry about exposing her secret to everyone else at Dairyland since Bobby has worked at the theme park before, and dating him while in her super outfit might draw some... unwanted attention.
It took a little longer than anticipated but Bobby finally came and Lori hopped in his car to go have fun with him. "Back in your normal clothes, babe?"
"Yep. I wanna keep my superhero life a secret, remember? For everyone's safety."
"Oh yeah. Don't want the bad guys to find out about your normal life." Bobby remembered. "Well I can't wait to go to Dairyland again. They have the best cheese curds!"
"Hehehe, agreed."
When they arrived to the lactose-themed amusement park, it was busy as usual, and a lot of kids were running around the area, some of them wearing the infamous mascot hats on their heads. Being true lovers, both Lori and Bobby decided to go into the tunnel of love to consolidate their togetherness. What a better way to share their love in a place such as this one. "You know, Babe, being a superhero must be growing on you by now."
"I know." Lori smiled. "It's like a job, minus getting paid, but i literally don't care about the money so much. Just the safety and well-being of the good citizens of Royal Woods. But anyway, how's your family?"
"Doing good. The Bodega is getting busy as it is, and Ronnie Anne pulled a crazy prank on me involving chocolate and cat litter. Heh, mom was so mad, that she grounded him for three weeks."
"Oh, so that explains why Lincoln can't talk to her right now."
"Yeah, it's my fault, really." Bobby admitted. "I should have told Lincoln about it a few days ago."
"I'll do it, Boo Boo Bear. I'll make sure he knows about it."
"Thanks Babe, you're the best. And, you know, i wish i had super powers, and we can fight crime together as lovers, defending the Earth together from crime and villainy." Lori frowned and looked concerned. "Something wrong, babe?"
"Well, it's just that, it would be nice for you to get powers, but i'm... worried that you might get hurt. And, besides, it would probably have to be by accident, or some government experiment gone wrong."
"Come on, it would be fun. And, if i wanted superpowers, it would be flying or super strength so i can lift heavy things other people can't."
"i know you're not a baby, Boo Boo Bear. But being a superhero is a big responsibility, and a big commitment to have. It's as big of a commitment as taking care of a baby. Or probably more of a commitment than that."
"But you always said we would have kids of our own one day, Babe."
"True. I would love to have kids of our own, but the point is, you... might not be ready to be a superhero."
"Well, in all fairness, you said that to Lincoln before, and look what he does now."
"Touche." Lori giggled. "and besides, the chances of getting powers would like that being struck by lightning."
"Not every superhero has powers." Bobby pointed.
"True. But come on, let's enjoy this moment together in the tunnel of love."
"Agreed."
The ride was getting more and romantic between the two lovers, and hearts were forming around them and slowly moved their faces close to one another, about to implant a kiss on each other's lips. Before they could even touch their lips, there was the sound of people screaming outside the ride, making Lori jump back with a fright. "Oh, sorry Bobby. I got startled there."
"It's ok, Babe. Wonder what that screaming was-" he was interrupted by another screaming that sounded like s little girl, finally convincing Lori that something was very wrong in Dairyland. The two waited to get off the ride when the boat was outside, and to Lori's surprise, there were some blocks of ice scattered everywhere, and some frozen people, including children frozen as living popsicles. The people who were not frozen were running around and screaming like a flock of panicking turkeys.
"Come on out, Volcano Girl! I want a rematch!" said a familiar voice. It was... Snow Flaker?
