Yi and Ruyi were observing the infant Yi clone who was sleeping soundly.Yi had palced the infant on the couch making it the temporary sleeping place for the infant. Yi made sure to place pillows around the infant as a barrier to prevent the infant from moving around or falling off the couch.

"I did some scanning on the child," Ruyi said," So you were telling the truth, his dna matches with yours."

Yi sided-eyed Ruyi

"You doubted me?"Yi asked

"My apologies master,"Ruyi said,"But what you told me earlier was a bit too impossible to believe."

"Its fine,"Yi said"i would have though the same if someone else had told me."

"What do you plan to do with the child master?"Ruyi asked Yi

"I already decided to take care of the child." Yi replied.

Ruyi looked at Yi, although he had no face, Yi could tell that Ruyi was shocked by his answer.

"Why?" Ruyi asked,"You aren't the type of person who likes children."

"This infant was a result of my own mistake."Yi said, "Its my responsibility to take care of him."

"I see," Ruyi said,"But you have no experience on how to take care of a child."

"So i'll learn how to," Yi responded. "I need you to find records on how to take care of children Abascus."

Ruyi paused for a few moments, then he said.

"Right away master."

His form became static, then he disappeared.

Yi looked at the infant again.

Seeing the child sleep gave him a familiarity of a memory.

He tried to think where he saw this memory before then remembered.

This memory of was when Yi was younger. At that time, his sister Heng was born. She was almost as old as the infant in the current time. This memory then made Yi remember all the other memories of his past and his sister.Heng would always be eager to engage with her older brother, Yi found it annoying but deep down he liked it a bit.

He remembered carrying her piggyback style, feeding her food that their mother cooked and reading her stories from books that helped her sleep. Heng had always found an interest in nature and Yi sometimes saw her talking to it, which he saw as delusional.

When they had gotten older, Yi became interested in science, which his parents opposed. Heng was the only one in his family that supported his decision and even helped him.

This led to the incident where an experiment conducted by Yi and assisted by Heng had gone horribly wrong and resulted in Yi being seriously injured with a wound revealing a damaged heart.Heng managed to save him, apparently her interest in nature had led her to be able to have a deep connection with nature.

She called on roots, which are referred to as primordial roots, which covered Yi and kept him alive despite his injuries. While this was happening, Eigong happened to be nearby and she saw the whole incident. She had healed Yi by creating him the Jade ring heart. She was amazed that Yi was able to stay alive because of these roots and found Yi to be a special person, a person who could be the key to immortality. Interestingly, after the incident, Yi somehow had control of the primordial roots. This led to Eigong offering him to be her student and she would take him to a place of science.

Yi took the offer which led to a divide of him and his parents. The incident made them oppose science even more as it had caused their son serious harm and it almost made their daughter suffer the same fate. They wanted Yi to stay away from science forever in order to protect him and Heng.

But Yi's interest in science was too strong, he had argued with his parents which made their relationship worse. Yi then left with Eigong, not listening to his parents. Before he left, Heng had begged him to stay.

"Please don't go big brother!" Heng said in Yi's memory, her face showed the same heartbroken expression as when she saw Yi's injured body.

"Heng," Yi said with a regret of sadness in his voice,"I'm sorry, but this is my only chance of experiencing science in its full glory, I won't be able to see it here anymore after what happened."

"Then take me with you!" She said,"I'll go with you!"

"Heng, No." Yi said firmly," Mom and Dad are probably saddened with my departure, how would you think they feel when both their children had left them."

"How do you think I feel with you leaving me!"Heng shouted angrily, yet with sadness in it," I need you Yi."

Yi signed, He wanted to go, he wanted to explore the world where science was, he wanted to learn and master everything he could see.Yet he did not want to abandon his younger sister, who could not go with him under certain circumstances.His mind was frazzled, but then, he had an idea.

He took out a device that was given by him from Eigong and gave it to his sister.

Although Heng was saddened, she could not help but be curious and asked.

"Big brother, what is this?"

"It's a communication device given by that lady."Yi replied."We can use it to contact each other no matter where we are.It will allow you to see me despite me not being actually there with you."

Heng did not speak for a bit, then she hugged Yi.

"Thank you big brother."She said

Yi patted her head and said,"Just don't let mom and dad see this,and let me teach you how to use it first."

Yi then began teaching Heng the controls of the communication device.

The memory began to fade, leaving some space in Yi's mind.

Yi felt regret and guilt. Although he had contacted his sister. It was not very often as he was too focused on his projects and work.

He had a feeling that despite that, Heng had felt grateful, having being able to see her brother again at least once. This made Yi feel even worse. Surprisingly to him, He now began to find something buried deep down inside him. He actually missed Heng, which made him be filled with emotion.

He then began to think of something.

"Perhaps I should visit her in our old home, to make up for my lack of contact."

Before he could think any further, Ruyi appeared beside him.

"Master,"Ruyi told Yi,"I have found some records as you had requested."

Yi was startled, but he managed to control his body from moving to prevent him from showing Abascus his reaction.

"Oh," Yi responded managing to keep a steady tone,"Good, show me those records now."

"At once master."Ruyi replied.

Ruyi led Yi to a computer and uploaded the records he found.

Yi then began looking through the records. He instantly knew it wouldn't be easy, but when time goes on, he'll adapt to it.
