Hi guys, Wolf here with another new fic, this time about The Witcher 3. This idea was inspired by another fic of mine "The consequences of a poker" so this fic is going to be harem... I've only decided some characters so far (Shani, Triss and Yennefer), if you have any more that you think would fit in with the story and with Geralt you can let me know.
This fic will also feature other couples such as Jaskier|Dandelion x Priscilla and Ciri x Oc
And that's all for now folks, I wish you all a GOOD READ!
There were many things that a witcher had seen in his lifetime.
Monsters of all kinds, unimaginable spells, relics and many other things. But of all the things the famous 'white wolf' had ever seen, this was one of the most frightening and unique he had ever witnessed.
Geralt watched in amazement as Gaunter O'Dimm held a skull in his hand with a satisfied smile. Gaunter was an average man wearing second-hand clothes that made him look like a beggar or a traveler, he had brown skin and dark eyes that contained a darkness and amusement with everything around him.
As soon as Gaunter stood up, he walked towards Geralt who stirred with a certain discomfort.
"Finally, it's over." Gaunter declared, stopping in front of Geralt with a friendly smile on his face. "We should meet again. Doing business with you is a pleasure."
Despite Gaunter's tone and posture, Geralt was not moved, staring earnestly at the entity disguised as a human before pointing to the side of his face.
"Are you going to remove the mark?" Geralt asks.
"Ah, right now." Gaunter declares, holding out his hand to Geralt, making the witcher feel a familiar burning sensation on his face before his skin begins to return to normal as the mark disappears from his face. "Done. Now tell me the reward you've chosen."
Hearing Gaunter's question, Geralt narrowed his eyes, after everything that had happened he knew that any wish or reward could have a catch or something to cause trouble in the future.
"Oh, of course, as if you were going to grant me something like infinite happiness surrounded by love for the women I love just because I asked, what are the conditions for the request?" Geralt asked in an ironic and irritated tone as he crossed his arms until he noticed the raised eyebrow and mischievous smile of the man in front of him.
"Geralt, Geralt, Geralt... even I didn't expect something like this." O'Dimm commented, smiling mischievously as Geralt slowly understood what the man was saying. "But if that's what you want, that's what you'll get."
"What? No, wait!"
Before he could stop him, Gaunter blew so that Geralt was forced to close his eyes and raise his arms, feeling a strong gust of wind pass through him as a burning sensation took hold of the witcher. As soon as the wind had died down, Geralt lowered his arms and looked around the temple, finding himself completely alone.
"...Shit."
Geralt grunted as he rode along a road in Velen with a tired expression on his face. It had been a few months since he had parted company with Gaunter O'Dimm and the witcher couldn't help but feel relieved, his involuntary 'wish' had worried him at first, but after a week nothing seemed to have changed, he was still receiving looks of disgust, assassination attempts, deadbeats, among other things... the everyday life of a witcher.
In any case, despite his wishes, Geralt continued on the witcher's path, hunting more monsters and, incredibly, for the first time he had a good amount of coins now.
When he heard a clap of thunder, the witcher stopped his horse and looked up at the sky to see the dark storm clouds, which made him frown. Until a few minutes ago, the sky had been clear with no sign of these clouds. However, Geralt was planning to go to the Stonecutter's Settlement and if he continued in this storm it was likely that he would end up having problems getting around in the swamps, making him an easy target for monsters.
"Come on, Roach!" Exclaims Geralt as he pulls on his horse's reins before heading off down the road in search of shelter or land to set up camp.
After a few minutes of searching, Geralt managed to find an abandoned hut in the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately, several of these structures have become very common in Velen since the war intensified with Radovid gaining more and more strength.
The witcher let out a sigh as he entered the hut, having left his horse inside a kind of makeshift stable that the property already had. Although it was strange, Geralt decided not to question his good fortune in the situation and walked slowly around the house, inspecting it and the supplies that might be useful for the rest of his journey.
As soon as he opened one of the barrels, the witcher couldn't help but stare wide-eyed when he saw several potatoes in storage.
"That's a surprise..." Geralt commented before looking at the rest of the furniture in the house, his surprise growing. "This whole place is very well stocked, enough food and drink to last for at least four months if used well...It doesn't look like an abandoned place."
However, there was no sign of any other people in the vicinity so Geralt didn't know what to think, normally he would be more careful knowing it could be a trap, but the way the storm was raging outside it might not be the best idea. Suddenly a clap of thunder echoed, making Geralt look around, and he could have sworn that for a second he felt he wasn't alone.
The witcher looked around with his hand gripping the hilt of his silver sword, but was met with silence before his eyes landed on the bed.
"...Perhaps I'd better get some rest."
(At the same time.)
A woman ran through the drenching storm before hiding behind some trees, breathing heavily with a frightened look on her face.
She was a pretty, fair-skinned woman with short red hair and green eyes, wearing a white shirt with a green vest, black pants and boots with heels. The woman grunted before her eyes widened as she noticed a glow behind the tree she was hiding behind.
"Dammit, where is that damn girl? Shani! Where are you? Radovid can offer clemency if you show up now!" A voice exclaims.
"She won't answer and she won't get clemency you idiot. Radovid was clear about what we should do with anyone on the list he gave." Mutters another voice as Shani raises her frightened eyes looking around for some escape route.
Ever since she separated from Geralt a few days ago to go on a mission, everything had continued as normal, Shani helping the soldiers, treating them according to her oath before she began to notice some things happening. The soldiers began to look at her not in the usual admiring or professional way, no, they began to see her as a target.
As the days went by, she realized that although they were going into combat in the war, they were taking a very southerly course through the Velen marshes.
This went on for a while until Shani managed to sneak into the camp and overheard some of the soldiers talking about Radovid's order to execute her. It turned out that Radovid was thinking that the Oxenfurt university students were becoming too confident and needed to be put back in their place, so he had some of the most important ones executed to set an example and among those chosen, one of them was her.
As soon as she heard this, Shani fled, but she didn't expect them to notice soon after and start hunting her like an animal until the storm began.
"Sir, the tracks are a bit confusing, but I think she's heading west." Exclaims one of the soldiers, making Shani hold his breath.
"West? There are some villages in that direction... You heard him, to the west!" The captain exclaimed, making the other soldiers run in the direction he had indicated, while Shani stood still, watching as the lights slowly disappeared.
After a few minutes, the woman began to run forward heading east, the opposite direction her pursuers were going, she could only pray to any deity that some miracle would happen.
(Some time later with Geralt.)
The witcher stirred in bed before getting up to look at the window, frowning as he noticed how the rain hadn't stopped, it was still coming down with the same intensity. With that Geralt got up and walked around the house briefly before sitting down on a chair and taking off his gloves.
He moved his fingers a little before picking up his swords, placing them on the table and analyzing both weapons. They were a little worn, especially his silver sword thanks to the contracts the sorcerer had recently accepted.
"I think I'll need to take care of this soon. It's a good thing I have time." Grumbles Geralt before grabbing a weapon repair kit and starting to work on his weapons with what he had.
He continued for a while before another clap of thunder echoed and soon afterwards he heard someone pounding on the door.
Immediately, Geralt grabbed his steel sword and slowly approached the door, ready for any bandits or ambushes outside.
"Someone's there! Please open the door!" Exclaimed a voice that Geralt knew well.
Geralt's eyes widened before he sped to the door and opened it to see Shani soaking wet with a startled and surprised expression upon seeing him, but it soon changed to relief upon recognizing him.
"Geralt!" Shani exclaimed happily before rushing forward and hugging him.
For some strange reason, Geralt felt something in his chest, it was like a strange burning that he hadn't felt since... the herb test. Without realizing it, the sorcerer hugged Shani back, smelling her perfume and feeling the girl's trembling through her small, slim, slender body.
"Shani, what's wrong? What are you doing here?" Asked Geralt worriedly, bringing the woman inside before closing the door behind him.
"Geralt... You were right. Radovid, he... he sent his men to kill me, that mission was a trap for me." Revealed Shani in a hurried and frightened tone as she hugged herself, making the burning in Geralt's chest worse. "I-I barely managed to escape before I got here... lucky for me I managed to lose them, but..."
"Shani." Geralt called, approaching her and putting his hands on her shoulders, making her face him. "It's okay, you're safe."
"...Am I? Radovid wants me dead. If I go back to Oxenfurt I'll be executed." Shani declares with narrowed eyes, looking at Geralt angrily.
"You won't be executed, they'd have to kill me first before they could even touch you. But you're right, you can't go back to Oxenfurt now and this place looks like a good hiding place for now." Geralt comments, looking around the house full of supplies, which calms Shani down.
"Am I safe here, Geralt?" Shani asks, making Geralt nod.
"As long as I'm here, I won't let anything happen to you." Geralt assures her.
The two stared at each other before Shani approached Geralt and kissed him on the lips. They continued like this as they moved to the bed in the other room, taking off their clothes.
Unaware of how the storm continued.
(The next day.)
Geralt grunted as he finished tying up a cart in the Roach, since he had found a place full of supplies, the wizard had decided to take most of them with him in a cart behind the house. As he continued preparing for his journey, Shani came out of the hut carrying a small crate before putting it into the wagon and wiping the sweat from his brow.
"Do you think your horse will be able to pull all this weight on its own?" Shani asked as she approached Geralt, who was rubbing Roach's fur before turning to the redhead.
"Honestly? I don't think Roach could make it the whole way he originally intended carrying everything, but I think if we get past the Crow's Perch we can get an extra horse to help us." Geralt explains as he turns to Shani, who looks at him with a curious expression.
"The Crow's Perch? The fort that was run by the Bloody Baron before he disappeared and his men took over?" Shani asked, prompting Geralt to nod.
"Yes. Despite all the rumors, the baron's men and I have a certain friendship and they owe me some favors that I intend to call in now." Geralt says, taking one last look at the hut before turning back to Shani. "Are you ready?"
Shani remained silent for a few seconds before nodding, climbing into the back of the cart at the same time as Geralt went forward to take the reins. Once the two had settled down, the wizard snapped the reins and Roach began to move.
They continued traveling for a while while Shani was thoughtfully looking at her surroundings before she turned to Geralt.
"Geralt, do you have any ideas about what to do about this situation?" Shani asks, causing Geralt to nod after some time thinking.
"Actually, I do have a plan. You see, before I found you, I saw a summons on one of the notice boards, it seems that Toussaint's knights want to meet me." Reveals Geralt as Roach makes a turn in the road. "They're probably having some trouble in Toussaint and need my help. I intend to use this to request asylum on their behalf."
Shani nodded in response, not having really thought about moving to another region, but knowing that her choices were few. The girl then let out a sigh and looked at Geralt.
"Thank you Geralt, really."
Geralt remained silent for a while as he felt the same burning in his chest again.
