READING THE FOX SCROLL was taken down on June 24/2021(Thursday). I added a link to its new home on my wattpadd. I used the original docs (hence the Ans) but the format is a bit different due to the different site.

AN1: This will be a shorter chapter. I gotta say I do read the reviews and people well are kinda negative on the last one. Gosh wonder why I decided to put this on the backburner. Also just because Naruto hinted at the Vision Hunt Degree happening right now in Inazuma doesn't mean he will go to Inazuma next. He is free to go wherever he wishes as the right hand of Nahida the Dendro Archon.

I know I usually write huge chapters but maybe I will try to write shorter chapters just to see how they feel?

Chapter 7 Nilou's feelings

"So when do you want to meet up Naruto?" Paimon chirped as she and Lumine looked interested at Naruto's answer.

"Hmm actually…" Naruto hummed getting the attention of the people from Sumeru and the people on the other side of the portal leading to Liyue.

'This feeling…. Its just liked Osial but different? No its not him but another one… I didn't expect repercussions so quickly. I can't let them pay for my sin.' Naruto thought as he gazed in the direction of Liyue.

Naruto bit his lip and he looked at Nahida with a look of concern. Nahida blinked before she waved her hand as the portal to Liyue seemed to flicker and vanish getting a yelp from Paimon when their side of the portal closed up.

Nahida gave him a look of concern before smiling softy at him. She looked in the direction of Liyue closing her eyes before she hummed. She opened her eyes and they glowed as she seemed to thinking of something before her eyes returned to normal as she crossed her arms and nodded.

"You want to go to them, right? You are easy to read Naruto. You always wear your heart on your sleeve so you have an easy expression to read." Nahida mused as Naruto chuckled rubbing his head in embarrassment.

Nilou frowned and pouted putting her hands on her hips and shook her head.

"Lady Nahida! There is nothing wrong with Lord Naruto! He is perfect the way he is now!" Nilou insisted as Nahida and Naruto gave her amused looks at her unusual outburst especially as her soft tone had a hint of protective anger.

Naruto smiled as he brought the red headed woman into a hug making her eep as he placed her face into his chest and rested his chin on her forehead getting a hint of her sweet scent.

"Thanks, Nilou. I don't want you to change either. You are perfect the way you are now and I want you to be the self you want to be too." Naruto replied back sincerely as Nilou blushed but just nodded and snuggled into his embrace.

Nahida coughed getting Naruto to gently push Nilou off of him who stumbled but then stood back next to Cyno respectively.

"If you wanted to go you could have gone regardless but since you want my permission. Fine. I Nahida give you permission to go where you want. Remember Sumeru stands with you and your decisions." Nahida told her confidently before a smirk appeared on her face.

"Just remember to try to not get hurt or anything. Nilou might die of shock if you came back with a bruise." Nahida joked winking at Nilou who turned scarlet and covered her face with her hands.

"Lady Nahida! Please don't joke like that!" Nilou yelled albeit she didn't deny the accusation.

Cyno chuckled lightly as Naruto smiled and bowed before winking at the two ladies.

"In that case I will make sure to come back unharmed. I couldn't stand making my Archon and favorite dancer sad after all. Till we meet again. Ta!" Naruto promised with a wink.

Naruto flicked a Mora into the hair with his thumb as he waved. Before the Mora coin could fall to the ground Naruto had vanished into thin air without a trace.

"Always so dramatic Naruto. I hope you will have fun as despite enjoying peace I know a part of you likes to show your strength albeit you hate killing as well." Nahida noted with a wry smile.

Nilou walked over to Nahida and looked at the spot where Naruto was standing with a look of longing before she crossed her arms.

"Lord Naruto has mastered his father's 'jutsu' although it was created by another Hokage right Lady Nahida?" Nilou asked awkwardly as she put her thumb under her chin a thinking pose. AN2:

"I believe he called it Flying Rajin correct my Lady? It allows him to 'teleport' to any location he has 'marked' regardless of distance from himself?" Cyno added as he remembered the basics told him about the jutsu before.

Nahida nodded with a look of pride. She of course was well aware of Naruto's history and unlike Nilou who was somewhat airheaded but kind, Nahida being the God of Wisdom had an amazing memory and could store vast amounts of information and recollect it instantly.

"That's right. Naruto probably marked at least a few points in Liyue after he ran there the first time. That gives him a shortcut to Liyue any time he wishes instead of relying a Chakra Mode to run or fly over there." Nahida agreed as she picked up the Mora looking at it fondly.

"I think Lord Naruto's father would be proud of him for mastering that jutsu and for what he has done for Sumeru." Nilou stated cheerfully before she gasped when Nahida turned to her with a look of annoyance.

"I am sure Naruto would want to hear from his father directly. He just can't since he barely knows the man." Nahida snapped back showing her protectiveness of Naruto.

Nilou tears started to appear as she got on her knees.

"Forgive me my Lady! I would never want to dishonour you or Lord Naruto! I am sorry!" Nilou pleaded as she resisted crying at the thought of offending her God or the man she respected most in the world.

Nahida eyes softened as she got down and placed a hand on Nilou head.

"Please stand up Nilou. I am sorry I yelled. I didn't mean to. I know you were just speaking you mind which is what Naruto and I encourage for all the people in Sumeru especially for ones we care a lot for like you and Cyno. I also know you didn't mean offense to either myself or Naruto. If Naruto was here, he would just laugh and agree with you so I was the one to overreact." Nahida apologized as Nilou looked up at the smiling Archon before she slowly got off the floor and bowed once again.

"Thank you, my Lady." Nilou chimed in softly as Nahida nodded.

Nahida turned to a corner of the room with an amused smile and waved.

"You can come out now. You could have said hello if you wanted." Nahida commented cheerfully.

Alhaitham the 'scribe of the Akademiya' stepped out of the shadows with his same cool expression but he did bow to Nahida making her wave him to stand up. Cyno barely raised an eyebrow showing he knew Alhaitham was standing there while Nilou leapt up into the air in surprise. Luckily the people there were all friends of hers and knew her feelings towards Naruto so they didn't comment on what leaping in the air did for her well developed body.

"Eep! Alhaitham! Why must you always be like that? You surprised me!" Nilou chided as she looked up at the taller male.

"Hello Nilou. Is it my fault you are easily surprised?" Alhaitham replied with an uncaring looking making Nilou pout cutely.

"Sheesh! No wonder you don't have a girlfriend! You are so unfriendly sometimes it hard to tell when you actually mean something or don't!" Nilou complained while Cyno smirked and Alhaitham merely raised an eyebrow.

"Are you offering? It would upset your many fans if you were off the market but you wouldn't be the worst choice." Alhaitham asked with his expression turning into a smirk. Nilou eyes narrowed as a dark aura seemed to surrender her as her eye twitched.

Nilou huffed as she swung her sword at him for that remark who casually batted it away with his book that seemed undamaged from the half-hearted attempt.

"You are so rude! Why kind of person would ask a question like that?! When did I ever give the impression, I would be the slightest bit interested in dating you?" Nilou screamed as she continued to swing her sword while Alhaitham continued to jump back and avoid her swings with relative ease.

Nahida just smiled at two while Cyno sighed as if used to the routine.

"My Lady. Shouldn't you intervene? You know Nilou will only listen to you when she in this state." Cyno requested as he watched Nilou chase after the seemingly emotionless but amused Alhaitham around.

"Your fans probably shouldn't know you have this side to you. The sweet girl act is far more appealing than this Hydro sword user." Alhaitham pointed out as he batted away another swing.

"You are the worst! I cannot understand how Mr. Kaveh can stand to be your roommate!" Nilou retorted back as Alhaitham just shrugged.

Nahida looked back at the unamused Cyno before she sighed.

"Please stop Nilou. For me?" Nahida asked kindly as she raised her hands up.

Nilou stopped mid swing frowning when Alhaitham bowed to her Goddess before her but she did bow as well.

"Sorry my Lady. Its just Alhaitham has a very nasty personality." Nilou replied sweetly smirking at Alhaitham who just raised an eyebrow.

"Excuse me Nilou. I have never pretended to be someone else. If you don't like how I act that is more on you rather than me changing." Alhaitham stated calmly ignoring Nilou side glare.

Nahida put a hand on her forehead in frustration at their antics.

"Sigh… You really are like water and oil in your interactions. Sadly, not in a good way. Alhaitham I don't expect you to apologize but if you could tone done your personality then it would be helpful." Nahida noted as she turned to Alhaitham who stood up and a small bow of respect before glancing at Nilou with the smallest smirk.

"Fine my lady. It's just so funny that Nilou can smile sweetly when 50 men try to hit on her a week but will get angry when I am myself." Alhaitham admitted as Nilou eye twitched. AN3:

"Alhaitham…." Nilou growled as she glared at him.

"Sorry sorry. Don't worry I have no intention of dating you." Alhaitham assured her making Nilou sigh and nod.

"Please don't misunderstand Nilou! You are a perfectly wonderful woman and I am sure Alhaitham meant no offense." Nahida added hastily showing her benevolent nature getting a smile from Nilou of gratefulness.

Alhaitham got a smirk as he glanced at Nilou before he tilted his head in the direction that Naruto had left.

"Of course, my Lady. I wouldn't want to go after something Lord Naruto has shown an interest in. That would not be healthy or respectful to make a pass at a woman he is interested in." Alhaitham commented.

Any anger Nilou had turned to be embarrassment as her face turned redder than her beautiful red hair.

"Woman Lord Naruto likes? Me?!" Nilou squeaked as she looked down at her feet and heels and swayed nervously like a schoolgirl in love.

"Um…. I mean I definitely respect Lord Naruto for all he has done for Sumeru and the Zubayr Theater, and Lady Nahida…" Nilou tried to deflect but she was forced to cutely fan her face as she was nearly steaming at the thought.

Cyno had a small smile while Nahida tilted her head at Nilou deflection.

'Is Nilou unable to admit her feelings towards Naruto because she thinks they are inappropriate or perhaps she is not worthy?' Nahida thought silently admitting despite being a freed God for several years she was still learning how humans thought and felt.

Alhaitham smirk grew as he started to walk away before Nilou called out to him.

"What are you up to Alhaitham?" Nilou asked suspiciously as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"Hmm. I just thought if you are not interested in Naruto in that way I then I suppose I can give out Naruto personal information to his fan club. I mean he is still single and it is a way to get a healthy amount of Mora to invest in the future." Alhaitham claimed as he closed his eyes with healthy smug smile.

Cyno and Nahida slapped a hand over their forehead when Nilou beautiful red hair started to move seemingly on its own and her blue eyes darkened to the point they almost seemed black.

'Fangirls… Harassing my Lord Naruto?' Nilou thought seemingly unaware she called him 'hers' in mind.

Alhaitham himself looked abit surprised at the speed Nilou dashed as she pointed her sword to his face after running to be in front of him. Even Nahida raised an eyebrow when Hydro power leaked out of Nilou and surrounded her and Alhaitham in a form of a constantly moving cage. Cyno looked at Nahida silently asking for permission for what to do.

"Do not send out Lord Naruto personal information to those 'fans' of his. They have not the slightest clue on how kind and warm Lord Naruto is. They only see him as some sort of celebrity and have no intention of getting to know him on a personal level. If you will not cease I will make you Alhaitham so consider this your one and only warning." Nilou threatened as her tone was so dark that anyone would not recognize the beautiful dancer from Sumeru.

Alhaitham raised an eyebrow before he raised his hands in surrender and dropped his book.

"Alright alright. I had my fun. I am done teasing you Nilou." Alhaitham relented as his smirk vanished and simply sighed.

"My dear Nilou please put Alhaitham down. He can be abit much… when he is trying to prove a point but he does mean well." Nahida asked sharply even as she let out a sigh of exasperation.

Nilou frowned before her hair stopped moving and her blue eyes returned to their bright sky blue. Nilou dismissed her sword with an elegant wave of her hand and the Hydro energy vanished into the air letting Alhaitham pick up his book and gave her a smile.

"What point was Alhaitham trying to make? That he can get under my skin like nobody else can? I am sorry but I have known that for awhile." Nilou huffed as she crossed her arms and pouted.

Alhaitham looked at Nahida who nodded as he sighed but nodded back.

"Alright enough games. I was trying to prove that your worship of Naruto isn't simply gratefulness like you are tying to imply but genuine feelings of love. You want to be by side forever and simply looking up to him like you owe him something." Alhaitham stated bluntly with just a hint of warmth as he saw Cyno give a nod of approval.

Nilou blushed but didn't deny as she played with her fingers nervously.

"Love… Romantic love? I am not sure what that is to be honest I know a lot of people desire me and claim to love me because of the joy I give them for my performances. I can smile at my fans and it fills m heart with joy when they tell me how I have changed their lives or even just brightened a single day." Nilou admitted before she looked up towards the sky despite technically being underground.

"However when I see Lord Naruto smile or encourage me it fills me a different sort of joy. Almost like his simple smile is worth more to me then all my fans praising me at once." Nilou admitted softly before she got flustered and put her hands over her cheeks.

"Gosh that makes me sound so selfish doesn't it! I am almost saying that Lord Naruto is more important to me then all my fans! I can't believe I said that out loud!" Nilou stated in a rather guilty tone as she bit her lip in frustration.

Much to her surprise she lifted her head up when she felt Alhaitham placed a hand on her shoulder and Cyno place a hand on her other shoulder. Then Nahida grabbed her right hand with both of her smaller hands. Alhaitham and Cyno gave her comforting looks while Nahida was giving her a beaming smile.

"It's more then alright Nilou. It called love. Nobody can truly control who they love and how they love. As the God of Wisdom I could try to claim I can summarize what love is in a series of easy summaries or theories but I know its not that simply. I am happy you can admit even if its only a little that you love Naruto I a special way. It will make Naruto and me happy to see you try to be abit more yourself around him instead of what you think you are supposed to." Nahida announced warmly as her eyes shone as they stared into Nilou blue eyes.

"… I will try my Lady. If only for my sake. I want him to be happy as him being happy will make me happy. I will smile as brightly and dance as sweetly as I can so that Lord Naruto, Lady Nahida, all my friends and all of Sumeru can see my feelings!" Nilou declared as Alhaitham patted her on the shoulder and chuckled.

"You are kinda missing the point but I am glad you are seeing beyond the persona your fans see you as. You could simply said 'I love Lord Naruto and want to be with him forever!' and that would have been enough but I digress." Alhaitham joked making his tone to mimic Nilou softer tone.

Nilou eye twitched even as Cyno stifled as chuckle as he released her shoulder.

"Seems like it will be a long time before you have any romantic interests in you Alhaitham! I mean any girl who gets to know you will be running before long so I hope you are happy just having Kaveh for company for a long time! I swear I don't understand why Kaveh n could stand to live with you." Nilou retorted in a playful huff as Nahida gave off a giggle and bounced on her feet.

Alhaitham face turned flat and uninterested.

"If Kaveh wants to leave he can. I don't need a roommate. He is the one who needs one so if anything, I am being kind I am letting him stay at my home. If anything, I should be congratulated on my mercy for giving Kaveh a home and not kicking him out." Alhaitham stated stubbornly.

Nahida giggled into her hand and wave at Alhaitham cutely.

"Aw you don't need to be Mr. Tough Guy Alhaitham! I am sure you have gotten to enjoy Kaveh's presence even you don't want to admit it! You would be sad if he moved out even if you constantly complain about him living there!" Nahida probed with a knowing look as Alhaitham scoffed.

"I won't bother to answer that absurd accusation." Alhaitham stated with his eyes closed as the group smiled at the teasing.

Cyno then turned to Nahida with a frown.

"My lady. Where has Lord Naruto gone to? Back to Liyue?" Cyno asked with his protective nature showing as his eyes narrowed.

Nahida had a grim expression as she nodded.

"Yes he went back to deal with Her. I suppose you could say settling the score with Beisht the 'wife' of Osial." Nahida revealed with her hand clenched.

"Hmm the 'wife' of the God Naruto recently slayed huh. I suppose I could understand the need for revenge albeit it baffles me why she would attack Liyue unless its to lure him back?" Alhaitham suggested looking unconcerned but Nahida could see Alhaitham clench his book rather harshly.

"Lord Naruto please be okay and come home." Nilou prayed as she closed her eyes before opening them to look at the sky with concern.

AN2: This shows at the very least besides Nahida who he would definitely tell everything, Naruto very close confidants know about his past and other world. He and probably Nahida told them as a sign of trust and so they could know about Naruto past so they can get to know him better.

AN3: If it wasn't clear Naruto saved Nahida several years before Lumine woke up in Mondstadt. Hence she has been acting ruler of the entire nation of Sumeru so even people like Alhaitham who don't really respect the Gods know about her. She is actively ruling now so pretty much everyone gives her respect and she is not trying to earn it like she presumably does after the Sumeru Archon Quests (after she is released). Before people claim otherwise even in the altered timeline the Sages basically gaslight the nation that the 'weakened' Buer was not worth the title of God so after was released she has to earn the respect of her nation slowly. Those steps have already been done by Naruto saving Nahida years ago and having them declare themselves to the nation. Plus they solve a lot of the problems the nation had so its thriving now.
