When Ava arrived on the bounty the others got to work as soon as they could.
Zane caught Ava in his arms as she fell from overexerting herself as he asked "Ava are you okay?"
Ava looked up with a sigh, remembering that minty scent as she said "Zane I want to tell you…" but she was out cold.
"Take her to the cabin to rest, we all know how that feels." Kai reminds as Zane did so.
Zane had wanted to stay with Ava but he was needed to check on Lloyd.
So far they couldn't figure out what was wrong, till they called Misako who told them to go to steep wisdom.
Ava awoke around the time they arrived and said "What's going on?"
"We came here to help Lloyd." Kai said.
"The tea shop from before?" Ava raised a brow.
"Yeah we're confused too." Jay replied.
As they all helped to get Lloyd in, Zane thought 'I wonder what Ava wanted to tell me?'
Something in the way her eyes shined told him it was something important, but what?
Once inside they were greeted by the owner and Lloyd was set on a table and they were told to wait as she made a special tea for his wounds.
As they waited Ava looked outside.
"Everyone's panicking." she frowns.
Zane held her shoulder as he said "With Garmadon back and Lloyd injured they are all in a panic."
"But I was able to stop them, sort of." Ava frowns.
"Do not be upset, people have always seen Lloyd as the one destined to defeat his father so they are not used to the idea of anyone else being able to accomplish it."
Ava sighed "I would have done more but I had to get Lloyd to safety."
"You did the right thing." Zane smiles.
They then heard Lloyd mumbling in his sleep.
They came over to check on him, but he was sweating profusely and twitchy.
"He's traumatized." Ava felt tears.
"He'll be okay, he always makes a comeback." Jay reminds as he helps get the sweat off.
"Hurry, he's burning up!" Jay called the owner.
"You cannot hurry tea." she replied, "Only have patience to get it right." She looked at the cup and said, "It is ready."
"Is it going to make him better?" Cole askes.
"It will heal his wounds, but…"
"But what?" Nya askes.
Kai sighed "There's always a 'but.'"
"It comes with a price."
"Whatever it is, we will pay it." Zane added.
"I think she means something else, but if it is cash I have extra cash on me somewhere." Ava looked in her hip bag.
"I will take no coin for this. I speak of a price for you and your friend. Each of you must lay your hand upon him. The tea will focus your elemental powers to save him. But it may use up all the power you have left."
"Are you telling me to save him, we could lose our powers?" Jay askes.
"Perhaps, perhaps not."
Lloyd whimpered at this, he was getting worse.
Nya exclaimed "Do it."
Kai then said "Wait! You don't jump into decisions like this. I mean…"
"You're just worried about yourself." Cole pointed.
"Maybe I am. But you saw how powerful Garmadon was. Without our elemental powers, what chance do we have?"
"Plenty of chances." Ava glares.
"The decision needs to be unanimous." Zane said "I will give up my power to save Lloyd."
Jay replied "Me too."
Cole then said "It's not even a choice."
Nya put her hand on Lloyd.
Zane looked to Ava who was staring at her hand "Are you not going to?" he frowns sadly.
"Of course I am, Ninja save lives. I'm just….saying goodbye. I just got them and now….It's time to let go." she put her hand on Lloyd.
Zane's eyes widened, it was true, Ava had only just discovered her powers some months ago and her true potential last night. This could not be an easy process for her.
They then all looked to Kai who joined them.
With that the tea shop owner gave Lloyd the tea and their powers observed into him.
It was strong, kind of tingly and kind of warm, but it felt draining non the less.
She felt a slight tightness in her chest at this but stayed still, it was worth it.
When the glowing stopped, the owner said "Now. We wait." and she headed to the other room.
With this Ava sighed and sat down, that was intense, she clutched her hand opening and closing it, somehow trying to see if she felt anything.
Zane saw this and sat next to her, hoping he could be some source of comfort.
With this they all waited, hours passed as they waited for Lloyd to wake up, taking turns to look after him and dry the sweat off his face.
At one point Kai activated his flames and Nya said "So at least we have our powers."
Ava sighed at this as she held her hand, and let a little wind twirl in it. It was weird the thought of losing her powers made her feel like she was losing a part of herself. And now she knew she be okay, but Lloyd…what about him? She looked up worried.
"Whatever happens, we fight on." Nay exclaimed, making her look up but she agreed.
"We fight on." she smiled.
"Ugh, what possibly could be so important that you have to do that now?" Jay called to the shop owner.
"Just a little something…" she replied with a giggle.
'Ugh she creeps me out.' Something about her just felt off, Ava frowns.
Then she said "To go."
They shrugged as she then came out with a bag and Cole asked "What is this, takeout?"
"For your time of need." she replied as she gave it to Jay "Remember to go."
"To go." Jay repeated with a chuckle.
"To go." She went back to her room.
At this Jay made a crazy motion.
That's when the earth began to shake.
Cole asked, "What is that?"
"Earthquake?" Ava asked.
"Not likely." Zane replied as they all headed out.
Once outside they saw everyone running in one direction, as if trying to escape something.
Kai stopped a civilian as he asked "What is it? What happened?"
The man gasped "If you see it, run!" then rushed off.
A rumbling accord as they looked up to see smoke coming from one of the tallest buildings as the earth shook.
"What could do that?" Jay asked.
"Only a being of great size." Zane replied.
"Oh boy." Ava's eyes widened.
They turned to see another building go down and Kai shouted "Come on!"
"What about Lloyd?" Nya called after her brother.
Jay activated his powers and Cole said "Looks like it's just us six."
Then Pixal arrived in her mech and said "Don't forget me."
"You guys go. I'll keep watch over him." Nya replied.
"Keep him safe." Ava looked worried as she nodded, then they rushed off.
As they ran they could see the destruction of a police car and then they saw a glimpse of it. Large, stoney, and glowing a sickly purple.
"We need to stop it before anyone is hurt." Zane said.
"We're losing it!" Kai exclaimed.
"Can't you fly or run after it?" Jay asks Ava.
"My powers aren't that strong yet." Ava replied.
With that they got their hoods and followed the strange creature from the rooftops. Thundered echo and rain fell as they ran
They had finally caught it, it had scattered the police.
"Sweet Garmageddon!" Jay shouted.
"It's huge!" Ava exclaimed.
"It was about to squish the Commissioner but suddenly froze.
"W-what happened?" the elderly man asked.
"I believe you mean what happens next?" They heard Harumi shout.
Ava growled "Brat."
They looked up to find her and then Garmadon came as he shouted "Kneel! Or I will raze your city back into the dust from which it came."
The cops began to kneel but Kai shouted out "Not so fast!"
They all turned to the ninja as Jay said annoyed, "Not so fast? That's our big entrance? You used that ages ago. After all these battles, all this time…"
"Not the time Jay!" Ava shouted.
"Looks I'm sorry if I'm distracted by that giant, walking thing." Kai replied to Jay.
"I think It's a golem." Ava added.
Then it turned to them and Cole said "Uh, guys…I think he heard you."
At that the creature punched at their building.
"Wough!" Ava called as she was able to build up enough air to jump out of the way.
She then followed Zane as he made a slide down to the floor. Where Jay was waiting.
"Nice catch." she said.
At this they all split up, Cole found a way to get the golem to crash through the streets, and as it got caught in wire Jay shocked it.
It limped for a moment but got back up, Ava tried to use what she could of her powers to try and hit it but it didn't seem to work.
It got up and stomped over as Jay said "It really doesn't like us now."
They had no choice but to run as the golem chased after them, she kind of felt like in one of those video games.
After running for some time they finally found a place to hide.
Zane panted as he said "We're no match for it."
"Of all the big things we've fought, this is the biggest!" Jay exclaims.
"We need the Bounty!" Cole added.
Pixal then appeared as she said "Go, I'll keep it busy!"
"Thanks Pixal." Ava waved as Pixal flew off and they ran to get the bounty.
'But will it even work?'
And if it didn't Ava could feel her powers returning stronger and stronger.
Zane ran up to her and said "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, you?"
"Yes. I feel my powers coming back fully."
"Mine as well. Zane I don't know if the Bounty will be able to stop that thing." Ava replied.
"We have to try."
"I know, but if it doesn't I think we should try what we did to stop the ceremony."
"Spinjitzu?" he asked curiously.
"All of it, coming together and at our strongest."
"Do you think it'll work?"
"Like you said, we have to try."
Zane smiled behind his mask as he nodded, that was all they could do.
They soon finally made it to the bounty and got ready to go, as they did they heard Lloyd calling for help.
"I have Wu. Can any of you hear me? Where is everyone?"
For some reason the coms were on the fritz so they couldn't respond till they reached them "We read you Lloyd and clear!" Kai called.
As they waved at them Ava called "Hop on board boys to victory!"
"Jump!" Cole shouted.
"It's too far!" Lloyd called.
"Get us closer!" Jay told Zane.
"I can catch them!" Ava replied as she got her powers ready, just in case.
"She's as close as I can get her!" Zane replied.
Kai called as they flew "Careful!"
"Are you actually doubting my ability to closely approximate the true value of our surroundings? I'm a nindroid." Zane said, offended.
"He's just worried, Zane." Ava replied, they all were.
That's when Harumi jumped on the cart that Lloyd and Wu were on, she almost fell off though with a large gust of wind aimed at her, she glared over at Ava who was growling "I told you to not mess with us again!" She continued to shoot but Harumi stayed on, if a bit wobbly.
"Give me the child, the emperor wants his brother." Harumi told Lloyd.
"Lloyd jump! You can make it!" Kai called once more.
Loyd tried to jump with Wu but Harumi grabbed him. That stupid mask made her strong enough to get pass her wind.
"No!" Ava shouted as she used her powers to grab an almost falling Wu and get him safely on the ship and into Cole's arms.
"Sigh, thank you." Zane said distracted lightly which made him have to make some quick turns to avoid buildings.
"We have to go back!" Kai said.
"I'll circle around." Zane replied.
They flew straight for the cart but were caught by the golem.
Ava shouted "Waugh!" as they looked up to see it staring at them, her instinct was to hit it but nothing happened.
"Hands off you big oaf, we just had it repaired!" Jay called.
"What do we do!" Kai asks.
"I don't know!" Cole replied.
"I can't break free from its hold." Zaen replied,
Zane then remembered Ava's idea.
With that he rushed over to her, but instead of using spinjitzu, he shot his powers at the golem.
At this several strange things happened.
Their powers, as they shot them at once they seemed to intertangle with each other. As if the two were drawn to the other.
It felt strange, they both felt like something was rising within their chest.
Then a sort of storm began to form around the golem, but it was still crushing the ship, and then…
Flowers flew around them?
The world became hazy, the others shouted, and suddenly they felt like they were floating as everything disappeared.
None of them knew that as the golem crushed the ship, without them on it, it was covered in ice, but not the usual hard stuff.
It was softer and it covered a large part of the golem, not only that it seemed to have difficulty moving, at least until it shook it off.
Ninjago
Ava groaned as she opened her eyes, saying "What happened?"
Zane opened his as well and flushed, under him was Ava as he curled around her protectively.
"Ava are you okay?"
"Zane?" Ava asked as she looked up to his big blue eyes and then her eyes watered as she said "We're alive." As she hugged him.
Zane hugged her as well, tightly and close, so close he could smell her.
'She smells of jasmine.' he didn't want to let her go.
"Zane, we could have died, we could have…." Ava shook as she rubbed her back and said "Shhh, we're safe now."
With that, Zane did something unexpected, he kissed the top of her head, surprising her.
As this happened the others woke up and were not only surprised of where they were but of their two friends.
"Wough." Kai said.
"You said it." Jay looked on surprised.
"So Zane has the hots for Ava. Who knew." Cole smirked as Wu just giggled.
Ava looked up at Zane and smiled as she said "I like you too."
Zane flushed as he replied "That is good, I thought that only I had feelings."
The others chuckled at this, including Ava. She didn't think she would ever get tired of his jokes, purposeful or not.
As they finally looked around though Zane realized what happened "Travelers tea."
"Looks like we're no longer in Ninjago." Cole replied.
Jay then said "Then we're are we?"
That was when they saw a dragon fly above them and out to the sea where more were.
Ava gasped, "No way."
Kai then spoke, "Back where it all began. The realm of oni and dragons."
They all looked at each other, what were they going to do now.
