Author's Note: Another new chapter, hooray!

Thank you to Crimson Commander688 for the review, I hope you enjoy this new chapter.

Without further ado, let's get into it!

Enchanted and Sleeping Beauty doesn't belong to me and retro mania. All rights go to Disney (Happy 100 years of entertainment). I only own Jack, Annie, Vanessa and Oswald. Other OCs belong to retro mania.

Chapter 4

"Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages, Circus, Circus Carnival Midway is proud to present our two female tightrope walkers!" Oswald's voice announced.

Suddenly, a long ladder is lowered to where the girls are standing. Drum roll music starts playing.

"Climb up after me." Holly instructs Aurora.

The brunette begins to climb up. Aurora soon follows. The audience watches them. The two tightrope walkers continue to climb.

Finally, Holly reaches the pedestal connected to the tightrope and opened her umbrella; just as Aurora is coming up behind her.

"Watch and learn," Holly said to Aurora.

The sixteen-year-old watched Holly step delicately out on the rope. As Aurora reached the pedestal, she opens her pink umbrella and continued to watch Holly artfully tip toe like a ballerina. Holly kept on going, umbrella in her hand, all the way to the end rope. She stands on the other end of the pedestal.

The audience cheers and applauds. Holly beckons for Aurora to come.

With trepidation, Aurora steps out on the rope and started tip toeing, umbrella in her hand. At first, the blonde stumbles a bit, but regains her balance.

"Keep going, keep going." Aurora thought to herself. "I got this,"

She kept her focus on Holly, making sure she didn't look down, as she tip toed.

She's almost there at the end, when suddenly Aurora stumbled and fell sideways.

The audience gasps and Aurora screams. Grabbing onto a rope, she swings and sways, very scared.

"Aurora, hang on!" Holly shouted.

"We've got to help her, Jack!" Annie exclaimed.

She gets up from her seat and rushed over.

"Annie, wait!" Jack called. "Come back!"

He ran to catch up with his sister.

Eventually, Aurora grabs on to the tightrope; dropping her umbrella in the process. She holds on for dear life.

Annie comes to a stop, in the middle of the stage.

"Hey, you!" She called to Aurora.

Jack catches up to Annie.

"Annie, don't do that again!" He scolded.

"Look, there she is!" Annie points a finger towards a dangling Aurora.

"Jack, do something!" Holly called to the seventeen-year-old. "Try to catch her!" She begins to climb down.

"I'm on it, Holly!" Jack replied. "Stay here," He instructed Annie.

He approaches the tightrope.

"Hey, miss!"

Aurora looks down to see Jack standing below.

"Oh, hello!" She called.

"Hang on, I'm coming!" Jack gets closer to and prepared himself to catch her.

Suddenly, Aurora's fingers slip and she falls screaming.

Holly gasps in horror and so did the audience.

"Catch her, Jack!" Annie shouts.

Quickly, Jack catches Aurora. They collapse onto the ground. The audience breaks into applause and cheers. Both Holly and Annie rushed over to the pair.

"Ow!" Jack and Aurora grunt in pain.

"Are you okay?" He asks the princess.

"I'm fine," Aurora answers.

"Aurora, are you alright?" Holly asks, concerned, as she approached the teens. Annie comes up next to her.

"Yes. Oh, Holly, I'm dreadfully sorry!" Aurora cried, turning her attention to the brunette. "I had it under control, I must have lost my balance!"

"It's alright," Holly assured. "You're new to this. Beginner's trial and error."

"Are you from around here?" Annie questioned.

"No, I'm not." Aurora answered. "I got dragged into this. You see, before I got here…I've been wondering about tonight and no one would help me."

"And when she came here for help, Oswald mistook her for a circus performer and he forced her to perform with me." Holly interjected.

"Oh, I see," said Jack. He squeezed his arm, which was hurt from his attempt in rescuing Aurora.

"Well, welcome to Las Vegas." He said to Aurora, with a hint of cynicism.

"Thank you," Aurora replied, grinning with gratitude. "You're the second person to say that to me, besides Holly."

Jack gives her a blank look.

"Right…okay. You're sure you're alright?" He questions.

"Yes," Aurora nods. "A little shaken up, but I'm fine."

"Do you need me to call somebody for you?" Jack asked.

"Well, I don't think they'd hear you from here." Aurora said.

"What?" Jack wore a confused expression.

Annie looked bemused, save for Holly, who already knew Aurora's story.

"Tell you what, Aurora. Why don't I take you and introduce you to the rest of the circus troupe?" Holly suggests. You can share your story with us. I'm sure Oswald will give you another chance."

"That would be lovely." Aurora said. "Whose Oswald, may I ask?"

Holly chuckles a bit.

"Oswald is the circus ringmaster." She explained. "He's the one who took you to my dressing room. Oswald is my boss."

"Oh," said Aurora. "You're sure he'd give me a second chance?"

"Positive," Holly answers. "You'll probably do a different circus act, though."

"Excuse me, your name is Aurora?" Annie asks the blonde girl.

"Yes," said Aurora. "Princess Aurora, but you can call me Aurora."

"Wow, an actual princess!" Annie exclaimed, delighted. "That's a pretty name."

"Thank you. What's your name?" Aurora asks.

"I'm Annie," The eight-year-old introduced herself. "And this is my big brother, Jack." She gestured to her sibling.

Aurora smiled. "Pleased to meet you both."

A/N: And there you have it!

In preparation for this chapter, I watched a tightrope walking circus video on YouTube. I used a little bit of the action and dialogue from Enchanted, other dialogue I just made up.

Up next, Aurora meets the other circus troupe members and spends the night with them. She'll even tell her story.

Until then, see you next time!
