Author's Note: Hello, everyone!

Thanks again for your patience. I wrote the first half of this chapter, while the other chapters were being developed. Mainly because I wanted to find the scene where Robert sends Giselle out into Central Park with some money and get the dialogue.

Other than that, I've been out running personal errands on my days off from work, plus doing arts & crafts/sewing projects and fashion illustrations (those are my other hobbies besides fan fiction writing). But I finally got around to finish writing the rest of this chapter.

Anyways, thank you to retro mania, Crimson Commander688, Guest and The Blazzore for the reviews, (to answer your question, because Maleficent thinks it'd better to use a spinning wheel as opposed to using the third apple. It probably would have been trite.) I hope you enjoy this new chapter.

And thank you to those who favorited and followed, glad you're catching on.

Let's get into the new chapter!

Sleeping Beauty & Enchanted all belong to Disney. Some OCs belong to me, while other OCs belong to retro mania.

Chapter 11

"I tried to do the right thing here, try to be nice…" Jack vents, as he escorted Aurora a bit further.

"Oh, you've been very nice to me…" Aurora points out.

"Severely punished for it. Okay, look, Aurora." Jack swings Aurora around to face him, coming to a stop.

"I can't help you anymore, okay?"

"What?" Aurora asks, surprised.

"Just…here's some money." He shoves loose change into Aurora's hands. "I want you to take it. Call your prince or your aunts, have one of them come pick you up, bring a horse…whatever. Because I honestly, I just…I just can't handle it."

"Jack…" Aurora said.

"Just go," Jack cuts her off, with a hint of pleading in his tone.

Seeing the look on Jack's face, Aurora feels guilty.

"I'm so sorry," She apologized. "You were the only friend I had besides Holly and the rest of the troupe, when I had none. I would never want to make you unhappy or cause you any trouble, so…I'll go."

"I wish you every happiness. Good luck reconciling with Vanessa and do give Annie, Oswald, Holly and the others my regards. Goodbye," The sixteen-year-old finished.

She turned and walked away.

Jack watches her go for a moment. Sighing inwardly, he turns and walked away, about to head back to the hotel. Jack had done all he could to help Aurora. She's a pretty girl, but one weird broad.

But then, Jack stops in his tracks. He turned back around and saw Aurora walking further down the sidewalk.

"You don't owe her anything." A thought crossed his mind.

Sighing, Jack finds himself caught between a rock and a hard place. While he shouldn't risk it all on some crazy girl, that came off the street last night; it'd be heartless of him to have Aurora flapping in the wind with loose change in an area that's unfamiliar to her. If he were to go back now without Aurora; Oswald would be furious with him, Annie would never forgive her brother, and the rest of the circus troupe wouldn't hear the end of it. Jack also realized that Aurora would not survive on her own, considering what she went through last night upon arriving in Las Vegas.

Jack is about to make up his mind when he heard voices calling Aurora's name.

"Princess Aurora! It's us!"

"My aunts!" Aurora exclaimed, delighted and happy. "Hello!"

Jack turned to see Aurora running towards a trio of women wearing pointy hats and dresses in red, green, and blue. He starts to go after Aurora, making sure that those women were really her aunts and she didn't get kidnapped.

Putting the money into her dress pockets, Aurora embraced her godmothers into a hug.

"I knew you'd find me!"

"Hi, sweetheart." Flora greets the blonde.

"Are you alright, dear?" Fauna asks.

"I'm fine, thank you." Aurora responds. "I'm just happy to see you all three."

"Happy birthday!" Merryweather adds.

"Oh, you darlings!" Aurora gushed. "This is the happiest day of my life."

"Look at you dear, all grown up." Fauna remarked.

"Where did you get that dress?" Merryweather inquired.

"Peggy gave it to me," Aurora answers. "Do you like it?"

"I love it," said Merryweather.

Jack, who approached the group, had watched the reunion unfold. He is feeling rather relieved that Aurora found her guardians.

Flora takes notice of Jack.

"Who are you, young man?" Flora questions.

"Oh, Aunt Flora, Aunt Fauna, and Aunt Merryweather;" Aurora spoke up, turning around to face Jack.

"This is Jack Radcliffe. Jack, these are my aunts Flora, Fauna and Merryweather."

"Jack along with Annie, Oswald and the circus troupe was kind enough to let me stay at the Circus, Circus Hotel and Casino." She adds. "He even gave me money to reach you and Philip."

"Uh, hello." Jack greets the fairies.

The fairy trio examined Jack with their eyes, he seemed very different from Philip. Jack gives them a small smile, although he felt like they were judging him.

"Such a nice looking young man," Fauna commented.

Jack blushes a bit.

"Circus troupe, you say?" Flora asks Aurora, puzzled.

Aurora nods. "It's a long story."

"Are you ready to go back to Auradon?" Merryweather asks.

Aurora nods. "Yes," She said.

"Wait, Aurora." Jack began to say. Just a few moments ago, Jack would have been happy to have Aurora's guardians take Aurora off his hands, and send them on their merry way. And he would be heading back to the hotel. But now, Jack did not want to get in trouble over sending Aurora away.

"I need you to come back to Circus, Circus."

"Why?" Aurora asks, confused. "I thought you wanted me to go."

"Forget what I said, I'm just having a bit of a bad day. I didn't mean to take it out on you." Jack said. "Anyways, my boss won't be pleased that I let you go."

"Excuse me, dear boy. We can't do that, we're under strict orders from their Majesties to bring Aurora back to Auradon." Fauna points out.

"Yes, we're just here for Aurora." Flora adds.

"I'm sorry to leave you and the others on short notice, but I feel like I've caused enough trouble for you and now my aunts are here to bring me home." Aurora said.

"But…I wish you could stay." Jack said, with a little hint of persuasion.

"What do you think, Flora?" Fauna asks the red fairy.

"Well…" Flora hesitates for a moment. Aurora watches her, while Jack held his breath. He had a feeling Flora would say no and he'll just have to face the music.

"We could stay for today," Flora said. "But only one day. We're all going back to Auradon the very next day. No ifs, ands or buts about it. Their Majesties are waiting for your arrival."

Aurora nods, understanding.

"Do I make myself perfectly clear, young man?" Flora addressed Jack, turning her attention to the seventeen-year-old.

"Yes, ma'am. And thank you," Jack replied.

"Good and you're welcome." Flora answers.

"Where's Philip?" She questioned. "Is he with you all three or did he stay behind in Auradon?"

"Oh, no. He came with us." Flora replied.

"Where did he go?" Fauna asks, looking around. "He was with us, I swear."

"He must have gotten separated from us," Merryweather groaned, slightly frustrated. "And Diaval lured him away, no doubt."

"Don't worry, we'll find him. Or he'll find us," Flora assured.

"Ladies, why don't we take a stroll and have a nice chat?" Jack suggests. "Get to know one another,"

"Of course," The fairies and princess agreed.

They start walking down the sidewalk.

"How are my parents?" Aurora asks. "Oh, they must be worried sick about me."

"They're alright, although they are worried." Flora responds. "Your parents are very anxious of your return. After the three of us saw what happened to you, we immediately alerted King Stefan and Queen Leah of the situation. They ordered us to come and take you back home. Philip offered to join us, to help with the search."

"Did you see who pushed me through that mirror?" Aurora inquired.

"Yes, dear," said Fauna.

"It was Maleficent," Merryweather adds.

Aurora gasps in shock. "The evil fairy?"

"Yes," The magical trio said in unison.

"Why would she send me here?" Aurora questioned, wide-eyed.

"She believes you'll take over her land, the Forbidden Mountains." Flora explains. "Maleficent wants to hold on to her land and her power. By sending you to this place, it'll be prevented from happening."

"But, I would never do that, I wouldn't dream of stealing a land." Aurora protested.

"It doesn't matter. That's not going to stop Maleficent from remaining in power." Flora points out.

"So, be very careful. We believe that Maleficent sent Diaval after us, to prevent you from returning to Auradon. No telling what he's up to." Merryweather advised.

Aurora nods, agreeing with her guardians. Jack furrows his eyebrows, frowning. He didn't know what to make of Aurora's aunts. They seemed friendly, but they're probably just as peculiar as Aurora.

"Now, what's this about a circus troupe?" Flora inquired.

"How did you befriend them?" Fauna asked.

Aurora hesitates and then began to tell the fairy trio what had happened since arriving in Las Vegas yesterday (Jack remains quiet, as Aurora told the story). How everything seemed scary and confusing, finding refuge at Circus, Circus; only to be mistaken as a performer by Oswald. Meeting Holly and the disastrous tightrope walking performance. Being rescued by Jack, meeting him and Annie in the process. Getting acquainted with the troupe and being allowed to spend the night. Jack admits his reluctance about letting Aurora stay for the night and wanting to send her elsewhere (the fairies scolded him for entertaining such a thought). The tryouts and Aurora's encounter with Vanessa, how Vanessa assumed that Jack kissed Aurora. Performing with the clowns and Jack trying to get Aurora home. And finally, Jack giving Aurora some money and letting her go; only to be found by the three Good Fairies.

"After I parted ways with Jack, I walked along, wondering what to do and where to go…until I saw you three. All the worry and guilt went away, I became so happy to see you all. I was ready to go home, but since Philip is missing, the four of us can't return yet." Aurora finished.

Flora, Fauna and Merryweather were quiet for a minute, amazed by Aurora's story. Until, Flora broke the silence.

"My dear, it must have been a lot for you. I must say, I commend you for being brave enough to seek out help." She said.

"We all think so," Fauna adds.

"I know you three don't approve of me speaking to strangers, but it was an emergency and I needed a place to stay." Aurora interjects.

"It's quite alright," Merryweather said. "Good thing we found you, no telling what would have happened, if we haven't."

She gave Jack a pointed glare.

"So, uh…what's the deal with this prince of yours?" Jack speaks up, addressing Aurora, while he avoided Merryweather's glare. "How long you been together?"

"Since the day I was born," Aurora answered, wistfully.

"Wait, what?" Jack asked, puzzled.

"Aurora and Philip are betrothed," Fauna informed.

"Intended," said Merryweather.

"Affianced," said Flora.

"You're kidding me," Jack said.

"No, we're not." Flora said.

"On my sixteenth birthday, it's to be announced that Philip and I will marry." Aurora adds.

"Have you even met the guy before?" Jack stares at the blonde with an odd look.

"Oh, I have." Aurora answers.

"Where? When?"

"Once upon a dream," Aurora replies. She begins to hum to herself, wistful again.

Jack is dumbfounded.

"Didn't your parents aside from your aunts, ever warn you about strangers?" He asked.

"Yes, they did." Aurora said. "But Philip is not a stranger. My father, King Stefan and Philip's father, King Hubert are good friends. It is their dream to see us wed and their kingdoms be united."

"Oh, I see. An arranged marriage type-of-situation." Jack said.

"Yes. Arranged marriages are still common in other cultures." Flora points out.

"True. But still, you're gonna marry someone you only know from a dream?" Jack asked.

"Yes, yes!" Aurora grins.

Jack laughs as Aurora drags him away.

"What's his last name?" Jack inquired.

"Of Auradon," said Aurora.

"What's his favorite food?"

"Sandwiches," Aurora responds.

"Best friend's name?" Jack pressed.

"Probably Samson," Aurora answered.

"Eye color?"

"Dreamy,"

"Foot size?"

"Foot size doesn't matter."

"Have you had a meal with him yet? What if you hate the way he eats? What if you hate the way he picks his nose?"

"Picks his nose?" Aurora asks, confused.

"And eats it. All men do it," said Jack.

"Ew," Aurora and the three fairies said in unison.

"Young man, why are you asking Aurora all these things?" Fauna asks Jack.

"Because, I find it hard to believe that Aurora would get engaged on a whim, because she's so in love." Jack said.

"Jack, dear. We trust Philip, he's a good boy. The king and queen mean well. They want what's best for Aurora. And the same with Philip and his father." Flora assures the seventeen-year-old.

The group continued walking past various Vegas hotels, casinos and other attractions. Using the money Jack had given Aurora, he buys her and the three fairies hot dogs. The women were amazed at how tasty it was.

"This is so yummy, I never knew food could taste like this." Aurora remarked, astounded.

"I'll say." Merryweather added.

"What about you? How long have you known your Vanessa?" Aurora inquires.

"Uh, five years." Jack responds.

"Gracious, that's a long time." Flora remarked.

"Almost an eternity," Merryweather comments.

"And you haven't proposed?" Aurora asked.

"Well, no, I…" Jack said.

"Well, no wonder she's angry." Aurora commented.

"Well…" Jack falters.

But before Jack could finish his sentence, the group find themselves face-to-face with Diaval, who's disguised as a caramel apple man.

"A sweet caramel apple, maybe?" Diaval offered, holding up an apple covered in caramel on a popsicle stick; to Aurora.

Aurora looked intrigued by the apple, while Jack looked uncertain. However, the fairies could see that the treat is poisoned, upon spotting a skull-like face.

"No charge, but a beautiful young woman…" Diaval cajoled.

Quickly, Flora used her magic wand to turn the fruit into fluffy, pink cotton candy; before Aurora accepts.

"Cotton candy?" Jack asks, dumbfounded.

Diaval suddenly looks surprised.

"Thank you, we will gladly take that." Flora takes the cotton candy and hands it to Aurora, who looks amazed. She takes a bite and is delighted by the sweetness and fluffiness, for it melted as she ate.

"Come along now," Flora instructs the group and they move on.

Diaval gives the red fairy a dirty look behind their backs, pissed that she intervened. Now, he only has two apples left and one is already wasted.

"What was that all about?" Jack asked, puzzled by what had just transpired.

"That caramel apple was poisoned, my boy." Fauna explained.

"And that is Diaval, Maleficent's right hand man in disguise." Merryweather interjects.

"Surely, you three can't be serious. Turning a candy apple into cotton candy, just because it's poisoned." Jack said with a hint of skepticism.

"We are taking no chances." Flora stated firmly, giving Jack a stern glare. "We can't let Diaval and Maleficent succeed in killing Aurora."

Jack backs down. He then changed the subject.

"You know, most normal people get to know each other before they get married." Jack informs the princess and fairies. "They date."

"Date?" Aurora questioned.

"What on earth is that?" Merryweather frowns at the boy.

"You know, date. You go someplace special, you know like a restaurant, or a movie or museum." Jack offers. "Or just hang out and you talk."

Aurora ponders over Jack's explanation, looking very perplexed. The fairies simply gave Jack strange looks.

"What do you talk about?" Aurora asked.

"About each other, about yourself, about your interests. Your likes, your dislikes, you talk." Jack answered.

Aurora laughs.

"You have such strange ideas about love." She remarked, eating more cotton candy.

"Indeed. A date is completely unheard of in Auradon." Fauna said.

"For real?" Jack asked the green fairy, surprised.

"Yes," Fauna responds.

"Well, maybe we should do what you would do." Jack suggests to Aurora. "You meet, you have lunch, and you get married."

"Oh, you forgot about happily ever after." Aurora pointed out.

"No, forget about happily ever after. It doesn't exist," Jack said.

"Of course, it does!" The four women cried indignantly together, causing Jack to flinch quite a bit. Even Aurora accidentally discards her cotton candy.

To Be Continued…

A/N: Whew, this chapter proved to be long, but I hope you all enjoyed it!

It was my idea that the three Good Fairies would find Aurora right away.

As for the conversation between Jack & Aurora about Philip, I borrowed references from Frozen and Enchanted (just a little bit). The 'foot size' joke went over my head when I watched Frozen the first time. But now, after hearing about the meaning behind it from a top 10 adult jokes in Disney movies, I now get it (LOL!). Also, the "betrothed, intended, affianced," line is a reference to The Lion King.

I also came up with the idea of Flora turning the poisoned caramel apple into cotton candy, before Aurora takes it. The fairies will thwart Diaval's attempt to kill Aurora once more, later in the story.

Of course, the poisoned apple skull-like face is a nod to Snow White.

Anyways, up next is the "That's How You Know" musical number. I will include the hilarious part with Philip getting run over by bicyclists. Plus, Aurora summoning doves and instructing them to deliver the flowers to Vanessa (much to Jack's disbelief), in which she gets them like Nancy in Enchanted.

Until then, see you next time, bye!
