Author's Note: Happy Holidays, one and all!

And thank you for your patience, after finishing the previous chapter, I wanted to update two of my other stories. Now, I finally got around to working on this chapter.

Thank you to retro mania, Crimson Commander688, and Sarah West 94402343 for the reviews, I hope you enjoy this new chapter.

Reminder, I do not own Sleeping Beauty nor Enchanted. Some OCs I own and some belong to retro mania. The Sleeping Beauty characters belong to Disney.

On with the new chapter!

Chapter 13

Jack, Aurora, and the three Good Fairies returned to Circus, Circus Hotel and Casino. They're now inside the costume room with Vanessa and Amber.

Vanessa kisses Jack, delighted by the doves and flower wreath. Aurora and the fairies are looking at the clothes on the clothing rack with Amber.

"I love them so much," She comments with gratitude.

"Really?" Jack asked, surprised.

"Yeah," Vanessa answered. "Usually, you send those email cards with the digital flowers."

"These are exquisite, where do you find live doves in Las Vegas?" Vanessa inquired.

"Oh, it's a long story." Jack replied as he glanced at Aurora, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather.

"And these," Vanessa picks up tickets for the masquerade ball, that Aurora and her aunts snuck in, somehow.

"Oh, we're going to a ball?"

At those words, Jack looks startled.

"Well, you don't have to if you don't want to…" Jack began to say.

"Are you kidding me?" Vanessa asks, grinning. "It's so romantic, so spontaneous."

"Good," Jack smiles a bit.

"I can't wait," Vanessa said, feeling rather excited.

"Good, great. And as far Aurora is concerned, I'm just trying to help her honestly. And now that her aunts are here, they'll be…" Jack starts to explain.

"You know what, if you say nothing happened, nothing happened." Vanessa interrupts, assuring Jack. "I trust you."

Jack feels rather relieved.

"So, tomorrow night then?" He asked.

"This is so unlike you," Vanessa remarked, grinning.

She chuckles, before the two teens embrace by hugging.

Suddenly, the moment is cut short, when Oswald enters the costume room.

"Radcliffe!" The ringmaster barked, marching over to the teen couple. "Where you been?! I looked all over for you!"

"I'm sorry, Oswald. I had been trying to get Aurora back to her homeland…" Jack apologized, as he tried to explain himself.

"You told me that Aurora is taking a break between acts, when all this time you went behind my back and tried to send her away!" Oswald snapped. "All because you were upset about what happened with Vanessa!"

"Oswald, please listen…" Jack began to protest.

"What do you have to say for yourself?" Oswald demanded.

Aurora, (who had been listening to the conversation with her guardians) walks up to Oswald. The fairy trio follow suit.

"Please don't be angry with Jack, Oswald." Aurora addressed Jack's boss, before Jack could say another word. "If it hadn't been for Jack me away, I never would have found my aunts."

"Really?" Oswald asked, turning to Aurora. His anger softens.

"Yes," Aurora answered. "Oswald, this is Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather; my aunts. Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather; this is Oswald. He conducted the tryouts I participated in, this morning."

"Hello, pleasure to meet you three," Oswald greets them.

"Thank you." Flora responds. "We've been sent by Aurora's parents to bring Aurora back to Auradon."

"And when do you plan on taking Aurora back?" Oswald inquired.

"Tomorrow," Merryweather answers.

"We were going to take Aurora home after finding her…" Fauna speaks up.

"But Jack talked us into staying, just so he won't get in trouble with you." Flora added.

"And things are better between Vanessa and I," Jack interjects.

"Is this so, Radcliffe?" Oswald asks Jack.

"Yes sir," Jack answered, nodding.

"Good for you, Radcliffe. Now, Aurora. You're on for trapeze with Holly and then you'll perform another act with Seymour and the clowns." Oswald addressed Aurora.

The sixteen-year-old's face lights up and she claps.

"I can hardly wait!" Aurora squealed with delight.

She turns to Flora, Fauna and Merryweather.

"I better go, I'll see you darlings after the performances."

"No worries, dear," said Fauna.

"You go ahead on," said Flora.

"We'll be watching," said Merryweather.

Aurora smiles and leaves the room. Oswald goes after her.

"Well, I better get back to work." Jack said to Vanessa. "See you tomorrow?"

Vanessa nods. "See you tomorrow,"

Jack gives the brunette a kiss on the lips. He then goes over to Aurora's guardians.

"Let's go, ladies."

Giving Vanessa a wave, Jack leaves with the fairies.

A/N: And there you have it!

I came up with the idea of Oswald barging and interrogating Jack where he'd been, and Aurora calming Oswald down.

One thing I forgot to mention in the previous chapter is that the "sad, strange, pessimistic little man and you have my pity" line is a reference to Toy Story 1, with Buzz insulting Woody. I thought about having Merryweather say that, but I thought it'd be funnier if Flora said it (as nod to the savage exchange between Merryweather and Flora in Sleeping Beauty).

Anyways, up next, Diaval and Philip go to a motel in Vegas and there will be a few Disney references; especially with the TV (or "magic mirror" as they call it).

As I'm typing up this chapter, we are officially in 2024. Therefore, Happy New Year! I hoped you all had a wonderful holiday season. I'm not sure when I'll update again, my work schedule is going to be busy next week. But until then, see you next time, bye!
