Author's Note: Happy New Year, everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. After posting the previous chapter, I celebrated my birthday and my mom's birthday in December. After the holidays, I began writing the first half of the chapter. But then, I was under the weather, thankfully I've recovered.
Thank you to retro mania and Crimson Commander688 for the reviews. And thank you to those who favorited and followed. I hope you all enjoy the latest chapter.

Chapter 21
Meanwhile; Aurora, Philip and the three fairies are strolling through the streets of Las Vegas. After leaving Circus, Circus, the women decided to take Philip sight seeing.
Aurora glanced over at Philip and sighed. This "date" wasn't turning out like she had hoped. Aurora had experienced new feelings, she didn't know how to tell Philip how confused she's feeling. And he was too engrossed in the sights and food to notice.
"How did you like your hot dog?" Aurora asked Philip, breaking the ice.
Seeing the alarmed look on Philip's face, Aurora quickly clarifies, "Well it's not really a dog, they just…they just call it a hot dog here." She chuckles.
"It's quite excellent," Philip answered, feeling rather relieved. "Well, this has been a splendid date. Should we go?" He asks.
"Go where?" Aurora asks, puzzled.
"Back to Auradon, of course." Fauna piped up.
"To be reunited with your parents and my father, be married and live happily ever after, forever and ever." Philip interjects.
"Oh," said Aurora, nonchalantly. However, inside Aurora was panicking, She isn't ready to return home to Auradon, not when she doesn't know what she really wanted.
"Well, we don't have to go right away." She offered.
"What?" Fauna asked, confused.
"Rose, what are you saying?" Merryweather asks, concerned.
"How long do these dates usually last?" Philip inquired, oblivious to the fairies' behavior.
"Oh, well, they can go as long as you want, really." Aurora replied, paraphrasing what Jack told her.
"They can just keep going and going, just so long as you keep thinking about activities that you can do."
"Activities?" Philip asked, confused.
"We could go to the museum," Aurora suggests. "Or to the theater, or there's this ball."
"A ball?" Philip asked.
"Yes. There's masks, dancing and music," Aurora answers. "You like that."
"Well, I suppose," said Philip.
"Rose, what is with you?" Flora asked the blonde. "There are other balls you and Philip can attend in Auradon."
"I know, but we don't have a masquerade ball back home." Aurora points out, trying to persuade the red fairy. "It'll be a fun time."
Flora sighs. She knew Jack is to blame for corrupting Aurora's mind, but didn't want to say it in front of Philip.
"What do you propose we do, Flora?" Fauna asked.
Flora hesitates, before looking at Philip and Aurora. Finally, she makes up her mind.
"All right, we'll go to the masquerade ball, tonight." Flora said.
Aurora sighs in relief. "Oh, wonderful, thank you."
"Aurora?" Philip asks.
"Yes?"
"And then home to Auradon?"
"Of course," Aurora agrees. "The moment it's over."
"Couldn't agree more," Merryweather remarked. "The sooner we get you home to your parents, the better."
"Oh, I'll need something to wear to the ball." Aurora suddenly remembers.
"Don't worry dear, I'll make you a dress." Flora assured. "In pink,"
"I say blue," Merryweather interjects.
"Oh no, dear. Pink," Flora objects.
"Please, blue will suffice." Aurora diffuses the argument, before it got out of hand. "I'm not in a pink mood."
Merryweather beams, while Flora frowns, disappointed. But she brushes it off.
"Well, we better head back and help you two get ready." Flora said to the two teen monarchs.
And so, the quintet made their way back to Circus, Circus.
Meanwhile, inside the hotel, Annie is wandering about through the carnival midway. After performing with the clowns, she had played games, to pass the time. But now, Annie is feeling bored.
Annie is about to give up, when suddenly, she spotted Aurora, Philip and the fairies entering the hotel. Shocked and thrilled, Annie follows them discreetly.
They all head to an empty hotel room and enter. That's when Annie makes herself known.
"Aurora, Aurora! You came back!" The eight-year-old exclaimed, startling the fairies and Philip.
"Oh, Annie!" Aurora hugs her. "Philip, my aunts and I have decided to attend the masquerade ball, tonight. Aunt Merryweather is making a dress for me."
"How?" Annie asks, curious.
"Simple, dear. With magic," Merryweather responds, pulling out her wand.
Before the blue fairy went any further, Flora interrupts.
"Careful, Merryweather!" She admonishes, before looking around the room.
"Quick, lock the doors." Flora instructs.
Merryweather quickly closes the door and locks it, after putting out a "Do Not Disturb" sign. She uses an ironing board to cover the peephole.
"Fauna, Philip and Aurora, close the curtains."
Philip, Aurora and the green fairy pull the curtains; Annie assists them.
"Lock up every nook and cranny, we can't take any chances." Flora adds, surveying the room before turning on the light.
"Now, Merryweather, you begin making the dress."
Smiling to herself, Merryweather waves her wand and began to create a dress with magic. The gown's silhouette appears in Merryweather's signature color, blue.
Annie's eyes go wide.
"Oh, wow!" She exclaims. "I want a princess dress, too!"
"You do?" Flora asks, turning to Annie. "What color would you like? Pink?"
"Or blue?" Merryweather piped up.
"Actually, both." Annie answered. "Also, can I have a dress in Miss Fauna's color; too?"
"Me? You want me to make you a dress?" Fauna asked, feeling rather touched.
Annie nods.
"I'd be honored," said Fauna, smiling.
"Well now, while Merryweather is working on Aurora's dress, Fauna and I will make two dresses for Annie." Flora said.
"And I'll join you afterwards." Merry weather adds.
Aurora and Philip sat by while Flora, Fauna, and Annie discussed design ideas, Merryweather went back to work. With a wave of her wand, she makes the dress midnight blue—a darker shade and adds black tulle. Merryweather turns the bodice black and places a jewel pendant in the center. For the finishing touches, she adds sparkle to the tulle and includes a sheer, black mesh top to the bodice.
Feeling satisfied, Merryweather goes over to Aurora.
"Aurora, would you like to see your dress?" She asks.
"Oh, yes." Aurora nods.
She gets up and Merryweather leads her over. Seeing the dress, Aurora gasps.
"Oh, it is beautiful!" She exclaimed.
Flora, Fauna, and Annie (even Philip) glance over.
"Ooh, very pretty!" Annie remarked.
"Yes, it turned out lovely." Fauna comments. Flora nods as well.
"My love, I can't wait to see you in that dress." Philip said, causing Aurora to blush a bit.
"Thank you. I'm actually quite proud of it." Merryweather said.
"It's wonderful, thank you so much." Aurora said.
"What are you going to do for shoes?" Flora questioned.
"Hmm…" Merryweather ponders the question for a minute, until an idea struck her.
"How about a pair of glass slippers?" She asks.
"Glass slippers would be lovely." Aurora nods.
Merryweather motions for Aurora to remove the pink heels. With a flick of her wand, the blue fairy makes glass slippers appear on Aurora's feet.
"They're gorgeous, Aunt Merryweather." Aurora said, amazed. "Thank you,"
"You're welcome, dear." Merryweather replied.
"I want to wear glass slippers." Annie piped up.
"And you will sweetie, someday." Flora said to the eight-year-old.
"And how are Annie's dresses coming along?" Merryweather asked.
"They turned out quite well, thank you." Flora replied.
Flora and Fauna made two, off-the shoulder ballgowns in pink and green for Annie.
"You can add another dress for Annie in blue. Then, that'll leave us with making a suit for Philip."
Merryweather nods and gets started on making a blue dress for Annie.
While the fairies were occupied, Aurora joins Annie and they have a little chat.
"How do you like your dresses?" Aurora asks.
"They turned out great. Your aunts are amazing." Annie replies.
"Thanks."
"Now, when you go out, you don't want to wear too much makeup." Annie advised the princess. "'Cause otherwise, the boys get the wrong idea. And you know how they are. They're only after one thing."
"What's that?" Aurora questions, curious.
"I don't know. Nobody will tell me," said Annie. "So, is this what it's like?"
"What, sweetie?" Aurora asks.
"Going shopping with your mother?" Annie inquires.
"Oh, I don't know. I've never been shopping with my mother in Auradon." Aurora responds.
"I haven't either," Annie adds.
"But I like it," Aurora said.
"Me too," Annie agrees.
"And just think, you'll have Vanessa to go shopping with." Aurora points out.
"I don't know about that," Annie said, expressing discomfort about her brother's girlfriend.
"It's not true what they say. I have met so many kind and wonderful stepmothers and stepsisters." Aurora assured.
And so, Aurora, Philip and the three fairies spent the rest of the day getting ready for the masquerade ball.
A/N: And that concludes this chapter!
I had been working on this chapter on and off, but I hope you enjoyed it. I came up with the idea of Merryweather making Aurora's dress for the ball, plus she along with Flora & Fauna making dresses for Annie. At the time I'm writing this, I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day.
As for Aurora's dress for the ball, it's inspired by the DisneyBound Masquerade version of Vanessa from The Little Mermaid. I was not aware of Giselle's purple dress from Enchanted being disliked, until I got older and I saw some posts about it on the Internet. I personally liked the purple dress from the movie, I would totally rock it in my size. Tessa of Modern Gurlz on YouTube has video about it, defending the ensemble (in addition to discussing Giselle's other outfits); I recommend checking it out.
Coming up next, Maleficent arrives in Las Vegas. She finds Diaval and uses her magic to locate Aurora, Philip and the three fairies. From there, Maleficent hatches a plan to dispose Aurora.
Bye for now!
