"Another one falls…" She muttered. "Two in the span of a month…"
Never in her thousands of years had she ever predicted this. Two Titans, felled by the same vermin in less than a year of his arrival. Salem can still feel the magic particles of Skov'les and that Astera boy as she walked through the burnt forest.
Charcoal black trees, desolate ground, and the smell of smoke still filling the air. It was a familiar and nostalgic sight; it reminded her of the times where she would actively destroy human settlements by herself.
But this didn't bring her joy or catharsis like the old times.
Two of her most powerful troops – even if she couldn't fully control them – have perished, and now humanity will regain some of its vigors. They'll become far more troublesome as they retain their confidence like their ancestors had.
Salem frowned.
Fearless humans are annoying. She knew that firsthand from the many crusades against her. Fighting to the death with smiles on their faces as they believed that she'll one day meet her end, and their job was merely to soften her up for future generations.
Excluding Fenrir and Skov'les, she already lost eight Titans to the old heroes and their armies, but never two in less than a year. The shortest gap was three hundred years.
Yet a boy - a sixteen years old boy – did what no human ever managed to do before, and he didn't even have a Grand Soul. His Aura reserves are normal, quickly improving, but nowhere near the power someone like Sturn once wielded.
He was nothing special.
Except for his ability to wield magic of course, and his own brand of magic, unlike anything she's seen before. He was an anomaly, one where she's tempted to simply kidnap and experiment on.
But even with how annoyed she was feeling to have two of her strongest fall, she's patient enough to wait. He grew fairly powerful in a very short time, and Salem wants to see how powerful he can become before taking it all for herself.
Not only will Ozma simply lose hope, but she might gain the power to rival the gods. She's spent thousands of years researching and mastering every single magical branch she could, every form of fighting, all war tactics, even mundane things like technology and science.
Salem smirked cruelly as she gazed at the visible light blue particles of magic out of this world. Yes, this is no issue. In fact… she could benefit from this.
She'll wait for him to grow, enough for him to rival her- no, until he surpasses her. Then, she'll trick him and steal his Aura and Magic.
The Relics, Maidens, and Astera's otherworldly magic stacked with hers are surely enough to destroy the world with a mere flick of her wrist. She'll become a true god, an unstoppable force with the power to recreate the world in her image.
She merely had to wait.
And Salem is very patient.
(?)
I gaze at the forest that's been burnt to nothing but crisp, a smug smirk on my face. Nothing feels better than to be proven right, am I right or am I right, Game?
Sheer, dumb luck.
He still survived~
And you were so damned sure he was gonna die. Hell, I saw your attempt; you tried to sabotage him, didn't you? Not giving him levels because you don't want to be proven wrong is fairly childish, don't you think?
You have continuously helped him when you should not. As your counterpart said, you've been 'babying' him for particularly no reason other than 'I have a good feeling about him'
Zenny has no idea what she's talking about. Really, what would she know? She just fucks off in the farthest corner of her multiverse to do… Zenny stuff. Something-something getting stronger or whatever.
Which is the reason why she surpassed you in power.
Wha- I still beat her up multiple times! What do you mean she surpassed me?!
Your win/loss ratio is 941 to 1255-
LALALALA That wasn't what we were talking about!
That fucking midget…
Speaking of the hardass; I still need to monitor her. She just dropped in Reid's world uninvited and for no damned reason, and I told her multiple times to back off and to not interfere with my experiments/entertainment.
I believe she is there to merely observe-
Remember what happened to the last Gamer who she tried to observe?
…
That's what I thought.
I sigh deeply. Look, knowing her, she really won't interfere with him in a direct way, but I still don't trust Reid enough to not piss her off somehow. Just… have a backup ready in case she suddenly throws a tantrum, alright?
Very well.
As for me, I'll try to convince her to leave, or at least stay near her so she doesn't ruin everything.
Can't believe that's how I turned out in a parallel universe...
Damned Saiyans...
