Where do I start?
One day, I found a nun in a white dress named Index hanging from my balcony, starving and claiming she was being hunted by magicians. Magic? Seriously? I thought it was a joke, but when I saw a crazy priest named Stiyl throwing fire and then a woman with a katana trying to kill me, I realized it was real.

But the real problem was yet to come…
The girl, Index, had 103,000 grimoires memorized in her head—something the Church couldn't allow to fall into the wrong hands. So, they tricked a magician into believing he had to erase Index's memories, or else her brain would stop functioning.

After getting beaten up, dispelling some magic, and using my power to break Index's curse, she was finally free and no longer needed to have her memories erased. But there was one problem… In the end, I lost all of my own memories.

I didn't even have time to process my amnesia before I was dragged into another problem. A girl named Himegami Aisa, with dark hair and a blank expression, was known as Deep Blood—someone capable of attracting and killing vampires. Vampires?! As if I didn't already have enough to deal with.

Apparently, a magician named Aureolus Izzard was using this girl to try and turn Index into a vampire. He was an alchemist with a power called Ars Magna, which allowed him to turn anything he said into reality. Do you think facing someone like that is easy? He just had to say, "Kamijou Touma is dead," and it would be over.

But then came the fun part. My Imagine Breaker, which resides in my right hand, completely nullifies any supernatural phenomenon. When Izzard started losing control, a dragon appeared from my arm. In the end, I managed to defeat him, but I kept wondering—what was that dragon?

If I thought I had seen it all, I was dead wrong. It all started when I met a girl who looked identical to Misaka Mikoto… but different. She seemed robotic, didn't speak properly, and referred to herself in the third person. I thought it was weird, but I let it go.

Then came the bombshell.
I discovered that multiple clones of Misaka existed, known as the Sisters, and they were being massacred in an experiment to create the world's first Level 6 Esper. And the candidate for this? A lunatic named Accelerator.

The real Misaka was trying to destroy all the laboratories on her own. But since she believed she couldn't stop the experiments, she decided to sacrifice herself to put an end to the slaughter. What a stupid idea. What kind of person throws their life away like that?

So, I did what anyone would do… I punched fate in the face and went after Accelerator.

After almost getting killed by Accelerator and being saved by Misaka and her clones, I prepared for the final showdown.

The battle between Kamijou Touma and Accelerator reached its climax. The air was heavy with tension, and the dark sky mirrored the intensity of their confrontation.
Touma, with his right hand capable of negating any supernatural power, faced off against the strongest Level 5 in the city—Accelerator, who controlled vectors with terrifying ease. Little did Touma know that this battle would change his life in ways he could never have imagined.

Accelerator

Accelerator held back from charging in. He needed to think about how to take down this piece of trash in front of him once and for all.

"Every time he hit me, it was with that hand, and he never used any other power," Accelerator thought. "All I have to do is stay out of reach of that hand… or maybe…"

Accelerator looked at the spiky-haired boy and began to smile—a terrifying smile that sent chills down both Kamijou Touma and Misaka, as well as her injured clone.

Without warning, Accelerator shouted, "Try stopping THIS, you useless piece of trash!"

He stomped the ground, and suddenly, hundreds of spikes erupted toward Touma. He dodged most of them, but…

"Damn it," Touma groaned in pain as one of the spikes pierced his leg.

Not giving him a chance to recover, Accelerator used his ability to hurl a rock at Touma from behind. Touma tried to dodge, but the rock struck him in the stomach, sending him to one knee.

Accelerator knew this was his chance to finish him off.

First, he planted his foot into the ground—it sank as if the earth was made of jelly. Then, Accelerator synchronized with the planet's movement. Using his full mental capacity, he slowed the planet's rotation by one minute.

By manipulating the vectors of Earth's rotation, Accelerator harnessed the generated energy, forming a blade and launching it straight at Kamijou. His goal was simple—cut that arm off.

"Watch out!" Misaka shouted in desperate concern.

Amazingly, Kamijou barely dodged the attack, jumping to the opposite side. But what he didn't expect was Accelerator's second strike.

With a single tap on the ground, Accelerator created a spike of earth—this time, it sliced through Touma's arm.

"This is what you get. I'm Number 1! No one can beat me! I don't care about reaching Level 6 or any of that crap—right now, all I want is to kill you!" Accelerator said, laughing.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!" Touma's scream of agony tore through the air.

Pain flooded his senses as he processed Accelerator's words. "Is this where it all ends? What will happen to Index? And the clones? Misaka? Do I even have a family that will mourn me?" These thoughts flashed through Kamijou's mind in a single second.

Tears filled Misaka's eyes as she ran toward him, but then… she stopped.

A wave of fear washed over her—and everyone nearby.

All across the city, the clones gasped for air, overwhelmed by a strange sense of dread. But the fear wasn't of Accelerator… it was of Kamijou Touma.

Accelerator stopped talking as he noticed something was off. "What the hell is this?"

Where Touma's arm had been severed, something was trying to emerge.

Touma felt it—a strange force within him. His Imagine Breaker, which had always been his, was suddenly being pushed aside.

"Everyone… run! Now!" Touma shouted desperately.

But Accelerator was too arrogant to flee. Misaka couldn't move, and the injured clone was too weak to escape.

Then, it finally happened…

Serpents of pure energy, shrouded in both darkness and light, burst from Touma's wound. They were like ancient beasts—roaring, their mere presence distorting space itself.

Touma didn't understand what was happening. He had never known something like this was inside him. The dragons, filled with uncontrollable fury, attacked Accelerator without mercy.

The strongest Level 5 in Academy City wasn't about to retreat—doing so would mean giving up. Accelerator relied on his vector barrier…

A mistake.

The dragons tore through it as if it wasn't even there.

"You… what are you—" Accelerator couldn't finish his sentence.

In seconds, all eight dragons tore into his body. Despite his immense power, he couldn't defend himself.

Accelerator tried to react. He tried to manipulate the vectors around him.

But the dragons were different.

In mere moments, Accelerator was defeated—killed. His shredded remains were left behind, and the dragons, having finished their prey, returned to Touma's arm.

Silence.

The wind blew softly through the ruins.

The only sound left was Kamijou Touma's ragged breathing.

His eyes widened as he took in the scene.

What… had he done?

He collapsed.

He had killed someone.

"I'm sorry," he whispered before losing consciousness.

As darkness took over, only one thought remained in his mind:

"I'm a monster."
