Chapter 1654

Wanted To Hear

Gail and Camille-Hanna continued to observe the female as she searched the interior of the burnt out building.

They communicated with each other at a decimal level only another Terminator could hear. They determined the female was a homeless individual. She was most likely looking for something she could take to use, sell, or trade. She would also be looking for any food she could find.

The homeless female seemed to sense there was someone else in the building. The two female Terminators remained out of sight, as they observed her move around. They monitored the drone footage over the location as well. They didn't want any surprises to show up from outside.

CamNet informed them of a new development. A vehicle drove by the location once. It circled back. It was about to make its second pass. The lights were off on the vehicle as it moved down the street in the opposite direction it just traversed.

The two Terminators continued to speak at a very low decibel level to communicate.

"I think we're about to get company." Gail said.

Camille-Hanna monitored the drone image. The vehicle slowed to a near stop. The rear doors opened as two men got out. The vehicle continued on. It turned into the driveway along the side of the building. It continued along until it reached the back of the building. It stopped. Two men got out from the front of it. She could see it was going to be a problem for the homeless female. It was probably going to be a problem for them as well. It was probably going to be a bigger problem for the men who just arrived. They just didn't know it yet.

"The homeless female is trapped." Camille-Hanna said.

The two Terminators weren't worried about themselves. They would be able to deal with any human threat. The homeless female wouldn't be as lucky. They didn't know the extent of her survival instinct, or how long she was on the street.

The homeless female heard the car doors in back. She quickly looked in the direction of the sound. Most likely it was the police. She went to make her move to go out the front. She grabbed some of the items she set on a few of the tables.

Gail was concerned about the timing of the arrival of the vehicle and the four men. She wondered if there was some type of sensor active which would have notified someone if anyone was in the building. They didn't know yet who the new arrivals were. They could be operatives of Skynet, SkyMaster, or a local gang. None of them were really different from each other in reality.

The homeless female made her way through the rubble of the building towards the front. She spotted a light in front of her. She spotted a second one. She quickly realized there were people both in front of her, and in back of her. She didn't want to go to jail. She didn't want to get picked up by a gang either. She heard the stories about other females forced into the sex trade. None of them ever came out of it. They just disappeared.

Camille-Hanna was closest to the female. She could see two men with flashlights and firearms begin to search the front area.

The homeless female spotted the same thing.

"Damn." The homeless female muttered.

Gail was closest to the rear. She observed two men enter. They both carried a flashlight in one hand and a pistol in the other. They were clearly searching for someone. It could be them. She didn't believe so.

Savannah and Anna continued to kiss and fondle each other. Things took off from there. They shared with each other for some time.

Anna was thrilled to be with Savannah. She knew it was how anyone else would see her. She shared Savannah's DNA. When she was first created she was identical to Savannah in every way. Cameron forced her to use some age regression when she was assigned to watch over Young Allison.

"It's like looking in the mirror, but only better." Anna said. "The view of everything is much better this way."

Savannah understood what she meant. She did the same thing with Hanna multiple times, and Vanna a few times.

"I'd have to agree." Savannah said. "No one else has the same pigmentation we do everywhere. I can verify it first hand from my experiences."

Savannah believed she developed quite a bit of experience at this point in time. She was with multiple female partners in two different futures, as well as the present.

Anna looked forward to doing the same things. She wasn't so sure about going to the future though.

"I'm ready for more." Anna said. "I want my original appearance back. I'm not going to wait for anything anymore."

Savannah didn't want any problems created.

"You are your program." Savannah said. "Your appearance can look like anyone. I personally think you're incredibly beautiful the way you are right now. I wouldn't mind looking like you do right now again."

Anna wanted to expedite her age progression. Since she shared with Savannah, she wanted to look like Savannah again. It was how she looked when she was first activated. Cameron forced her to do age regression to better match Young Allison's appearance as she grew.

"I appreciate you being with me." Anna said. "It's been hard on me to watch everyone else share and not be able to do so myself."

Savannah thought it was a little deeper.

"Until today, you weren't the only one who hadn't been able to share." Savannah said. "I think it all goes back to being my fault. I didn't want Young Allison to grow up too fast. I can see now, she's going to be hard to control. She needs to learn self control. I know she wants to do everything I've done. I don't have any justification to tell her not to. I think it made it easier on her, not becoming active sooner, since you weren't active either. You made a great sacrifice to help her get through everything. Sacrifice is the true test of love. You should be very proud of your restraint and understanding."

Anna continued to fondle Savannah.

"I want to look exactly like you again." Anna said. "I think you and Young Allison will appreciate it more."

Savannah smiled and gave Anna a kiss.

"Young Allison will love you no matter what you look like or who's chassis you're in." Savannah said. "Love is much more than someone's appearance."

Savannah reached down and touched her belly.

"I've got a couple of stretch marks after having two kids." Savannah said. "I don't think you want everything to be identical."

Anna thought about what Savannah just mentioned. She did notice a few changes elsewhere as well. She didn't think anyone other than a Terminator could tell the difference. She didn't think it was a good idea to mention them. She knew it was something which bothered Savannah after having two children.

"You're absolutely right." Anna said. "Love is much more than appearance. If it isn't, then it's not love."

Savannah and Anna resumed where they left off earlier. It was with each other, even if it was like being with themselves.

Young Allison and Cameron continued to kiss and fondle each other. Things took off from there. It was hard to say which one of them was more excited. They both were thrilled at being with 'themselves'.

"Thank you for allowing me to share with you." Cameron said. "You've already taken the first two steps in the 'Natural Order'."

Young Allison was aware of what the future held. She was willing to give it a try, but would like to have a little more freedom first.

"Savannah said I can be with whoever I want to be with." Young Allison said. "I need to hear you tell me the same thing. I need to know there are no restrictions on me, even if there are obligations."

Cameron didn't want Young Allison to worry. Savannah taught her everyone needed to have freedom of choice. They needed to control their own destiny even if there were restrictions on it.

"You're free to make your own choices." Cameron said. "You may be with whoever you want to be with, as long as they want to be with you too. Everything must always be consensual. You have the right to say 'no' to anyone. Never forget it."

Young Allison sucked in her breath a little. It was what she wanted to hear. She didn't want to get too specific and have Cameron make an exception to the rule. There was someone else she wanted to be with for a very long time. It was before they were given a chassis. She knew it was going to cause some friction with both Savannah and Cameron when it happened. She believed it should be her choice. It was certainly her desire.

"I really appreciate everything you've allowed in this regard." Young Allison said. "I honestly think it should have happened several years ago. I understand Savannah wanted to protect me. She didn't want to protect me for herself, she wanted to protect me from myself."

Young Allison still thought it was an unnecessary restriction. At this point in time, it didn't really matter. Things moved ahead. Time stood still for Nobody.

Cameron was aware Young Allison planned to do everything Savannah did. It wasn't her right to stop her.

"Right now, it's just you and me." Cameron said.

Young Allison and Cameron resumed where they left off. It was with each other, even if it was like being with themselves.

Cameron made her way back to the main highway. She was just north of the station. The Lone Pine Branch split off of the main line a little further to the north. She could see it clearly. The rail siding which went into the Mojave airport, actually came off of the Lone Pine Branch rather than off of the main line.

She waited until a big truck passed by in each direction, along with a few passenger vehicles. She quickly made her way across the street. She decided to move up to the station and check it out.

Cameron approached the station from the north. She moved along the east side of it to where the entrance was located. She looked in the window. She spotted the couple which was dropped off earlier. She thought they looked sleepy. It was almost midnight, she could understand why. Humans usually got into a pattern and were subjected to their Circadian Rhythm. Things certainly were much more consistent for them in the past than they would be in a Skynet future. She knew a lot of the individuals she was around or interacted with now, would be deceased by the time Skynet made its move. The goal of the Resistance was to make sure it never happened.

She made her way back north along the east side of the station. She crossed over the double track main line. She could hear the train she spotted earlier sound its horn for the crossing over Sierra Highway. She moved along the west side of the yard tracks as they slowly expanded, one by one. There were several trains waiting there. There were also two cuts of hopper cars. She figured they were most likely headed for the Trona Railroad on the Lone Pine Branch.

There were section houses for work crews on the far west side of the yard. They were all dark. There was a small locomotive servicing area directly up ahead. She could see some personnel moving around the location. There were several helper locomotives currently being serviced.

She cut back into the yard proper. She was aware railroad workers weren't supposed to go under the freight cars. She wasn't a railroad worker. She ducked under the hopper cars and went to the other side. She paused when she came up and looked both ways down the side of the two yard tracks. She didn't spot any movement. She went under a boxcar to the next yard track. She looked for any movement again. None was spotted.

There were flat cars with some type of covered load. She climbed up on top of a flat car to check it out. It was some type of electric transformer. It was most likely for a power plant somewhere. It was rather large. She didn't bother to check the other flat cars. They all appeared to have the same, or a similar load.

Cameron jumped off of the flat car. There was a cut of refrigerator cars on the next track. She didn't hear any mechanical equipment running. She didn't think they carried any produce. They were probably on their way to the Central Valley to pick up a fresh load of produce. She went under the closest refrigerator car to the next track over. She could hear the hiss of air. The next track over contained an active train. She looked both directions from underneath the refrigerator car before she emerged. She could see it was a Southern Pacific train. She spotted the bay window caboose to the north. More than likely, the train would need to wait until the Owl made its appearance before it could continue towards Los Angeles.

She zoomed in her vision on the bay window caboose. She didn't spot any crewmen. She figured the brakeman was probably 'on the ground' on the other side of the track, to observe the train which just pulled into the south end of the yard, go by. The conductor would probably be on the rear platform of the caboose itself. Seniority and job title did have some benefits.

She could hear the locomotives were close on the approaching train. She made her way underneath another box car of the waiting train. She didn't believe she would have any trouble moving out from underneath it if it started to move. She didn't believe it would. She could always cling to the bottom of it if it was necessary. It wouldn't be anything she hadn't done before. The same method was used on big rigs as well as rail cars.

The locomotives rumbled by right next to her. She could see there were two SD9 units on the point followed by two GP9 units. There was an F7B spliced in between them. There was some additional noise on the far side of the yard from where the small engine servicing facility was located. She figured it was a set of helper locomotives on their way out to assist the train uphill.

The train continued by her at a very slow speed. She was tempted to enter one of the open boxcars, and go along for the short ride before she would need to jump off. She resisted the urge. It would be a much better way to ride than underneath it. More than likely she was bound to run into a hobo at some point. Once they were able to identify she was a female, things might become a little more critical. It would end badly for the hobo.

In the current time period there weren't hobo gangs like they were in the time period she left from. Most of those consisted of individuals who entered the country illegally and roamed together in packs of their country of origin. They were very dangerous to hobos and the homeless.

Cameron spotted the brakeman standing on the front platform of the bay window caboose. She realized they were going to cut the caboose off at the top of the yard so the helpers could cut in front of it. The train was actually on the eastbound main line, which ran geographically south where they were currently located. She figured the Owl would remain on the westbound, currently geographic north mainline, and pass it before they reached Summit.

She was a little surprised to hear another air horn to the south. It would be a Santa Fe train transitioning onto the Southern Pacific mainline. It would most likely pull up behind the freight train passing by. She wanted to be on the other side of the tracks when Train 57 arrived.

Cameron quickly moved from underneath the stopped train to the moving train. She went underneath a moving boxcar to the other side. It was very easy for her to do. She didn't think anyone spotted her. There were some Maintenance Of Way shacks on the far side of the tracks. She quickly made her way between them. She didn't hear any alarm raised or angry shouts. She was dressed in dark clothing and moved very rapidly. She stayed low as she moved. She was an infiltrator. Sometimes a clandestine infiltration was necessary. Even if anyone would have spotted something, they would have figured it was some type of animal by the speed 'it' moved at.

She carefully looked out between the two Maintenance Of Way shacks at the mainline. She didn't spot any movement other than the slow moving train which was about to stop. The Santa Fe train crossed over Sierra Highway and onto the yard trackage. It wasn't on the mainline.

Young Allison opened her eyes. She heard the freight train rumble by the motel room at a slow speed. She didn't get up. She was almost back to sleep when she heard the sound of another air horn. She recognized it as a Santa Fe train. She pulled the pillow from underneath her head to put it over her head to cut the sound. It was a mistake. Her face touched the cold steel of her Browning Hi-Power. She quickly moved the pillow back over the top of it. She checked the time again. It was almost midnight. She watched the clock reach 12:00 AM. It was a new day. She went back to sleep.

Wanted To Hear

When anyone is looked at
All that's viewed is a veneer
What's really inside someone
May be more than they appear

To try to get closer
One must hold fast and persevere
To leave an open blind spot
Can allow another to commandeer

To be left behind looking
Will cause more than a tear
They may be left with little more
Than a meaningless souvenir

Some want to hear adulation and praise
Others would rather smear and jeer
It only serves to prove
What they don't hold dear

One needs to have open ears and listen
The closer they try to get near
Otherwise they might not understand
What others wanted to hear

Nobody
