Through the Nerima rain, a teenage girl strolled beneath an old school, Japanese umbrella, her head buried in her phone as she whistled.
"Let's see, left here…"
Besides her, with a cheerful yap, a White and black dog with a seeming line from to snout dividing its fur between its two colors, walked and bounced.
The girl in question looked about 14-15 years, of average height, though rather well developed for her age… But that was not the thing that immediately stood out about her.
No, that would be the way she dressed like she was about 4 years younger than she actually was, with large overalls that ended in a too short skirt, knee high stockings, a shirt that was a number or two too large, and a slightly too small hairband with a spotted pattern across it.
It created an interesting clothing pattern of someone with childish tastes, but who's clothing size didn't quite fit due to puberty having hit like a truck, both in regards to being a mixture between too big and yet also too small.
Her bright, red hair, with a set of adorable, childish pigtails only added to the dissonance effect. As did a seemingly bizarrely out of place set of sharp canines that would not have been out of place on a vampire.
On her phone, a very basic map direction app was currently showing, with the input destination of "Tendo Dojo" being about 14 Kilometers away.
"Not long now Shiro! Ryo-Nii is just by!"
The dog yapped happily in response.
Then a random, filthy, mangy cat passed by after walking by, to which the girl stopped completely… Then burst out crying, loud, powerful sobs, scaring the little pussycat away.
The black and white dog turned and walked in under the umbrella leaned into her mistress legs, pushing itself up against the red haired girl supportingly. The girl sniffled, then dried her face on her arm.
"Ryo-Nii's just by…"
I
Ryoga Hibiki felt… Weird.
There were several reasons for that.
For one thing, he was living under a roof for the moment, with the master of the Tendo Dojo having happily given him an empty storage room that he could, quote "Spiffy up as he liked".
It… Was thrice the size of his actual room back home.
And it wasn't even the only room of equal size just sitting about vacant in the Dojo's deeper interior.
It was just the one Soun had handed him.
Just like that.
That was… Weird.
Even in the days when he had been living close to the Midoriya's, he'd almost always lived at the very least one degree apart from them.
The only times when that wasn't the case had been when they had served under the same master, when there had been designated living spaces dictated by said master.
Anytime else though, Inko had ensured he did NOT sleep together in one camp with the Midoriya's.
There had been a time when she'd been motherly towards him… But that had been so long ago that he had almost forgotten how it felt.
Here though… Soun Tendo just gave him his blessing to live here in his home without any care or worry about the fact he was his coming Son-In-Law's greatest rival.
In fact… He'd actually claimed this arrangement was the "Best Kind of rivalry".
He was… A weird guy, Soun Tendo.
That wasn't really what Ryoga was focusing on at the moment though.
It wasn't like his rivalry with Izuku was by any means extinguished… Quite on the contrary, though his anger at what had happened at Jusenkyo seemed to abate more and more, day by day, he felt the old urge to compete in training start to rise again.
But… The brutal fact was, it was drowned out by other feelings.
No… That was not the way to describe them.
Ryoga, during his years had experienced strong emotions of all kinds, positive and negative. And yet….
As he gave a wave and a goodbye to Akane and Izuku as they left, he felt… A sense of warmth that blew the still there anger at Izuku's visage, as well as his desire to compete completely out of the water.
There was no comparison really.
Akane's smile was like the sun of Amaterasu herself!
It was warmth, it was kindness, it was something that made his cheeks red, and his stomach soar.
It was completely alien feelings to him.
He had no idea what to do about it… Nor what sort of feelings they were.
He didn't have anyone to talk to about it either, no wisdom from his elders he could seek.
Izuku's father was certainly out, given he only cared about him in as far as his rivalry with Izuku was concerned.
Inko… Again, there had been a time when he would have sought her out to ask her opinion on it… But that time had passed into the dusts of history.
Soun Tendo… Ryoga was… Not always the brightest lad… But he had good instincts, despite what a lot of folks said.
And his instincts told him that trying to talk to Akane's father about these feelings was a terrible idea on the same level as him pretending to just be a pig for Akane.
As for Nabiki and Kasumi… He had no idea on either of them.
Over the course of the few days he'd been here, he'd not seen much of Nabiki that was not teasing Izuku, or flirting with him.
He had long since decided she HAD to be one of Izuku's two brides.
That… Made him feel relieved for some reason.
As for the other one… Kasumi was…
Again, he had good instincts… And his instincts told him that despite her very, very cheerful and helpful demeanor, this was a dangerous woman.
He had the same feeling when he was close to her as he'd had with several of his and Izuku's old masters.
That, not surprisingly, made it difficult for him to trust her.
Which made him feel awkward as the two of them sat down together in the Tendo living room, her having given him some rather well made tea.
"How long will you be staying?"
"I'm… Not sure. I… Don't have any plans for a rematch with Izuku… Not yet anyway… But… I also don't have any real reason to leave either."
"You don't want to go home?"
"I'm not… Against going home… But the reality is, even if I do go home, my family won't be waiting there. My parents and sister are as terrible with directions as I am… And I have ordered my beloved dog to watch over my little sister… So unless I happen to come home at the exact same time as her, not even my hound will be there."
Kasumi nodded.
Then she turned somewhat more serious.
"You've calmed down a lot haven't you? You felt practically rabid on Sunday morning… And now you feel like an actual teenage boy."
"You know, I don't usually act like some animal."
He said dryly.
"I know. Inko has been rather clear about how you tend to calm down after your rematches. But actually feeling the difference is… Quite astonishing. You did indeed feel like an animal… And now you're nothing like that.'
That… Was probably true… But the reality was that Kasumi was misinformed.
Even he, who could be blockheaded beyond belief, was able to easily tell the sheer difference between his current state of mind, and how he usually felt after "Calming down" after his and Izuku's matches.
There was just no comparison.
"So what will you do then? Do you plan to train here? Father will not take on an outsider into the fold… This is a family Dojo after all. But I'm sure he won't say no to sparring with you."
He raised an eyebrow at that.
Soun Tendo had once possessed a frightening reputation as Japan's premier martial arts master… Even his mother had been perfectly candid that during their respective primes, he had been stronger than her, and not by a small margin either…
However, there was another question that burned through his mind.
One so obvious even he saw it.
"What about you? You seem… Strong from what I can tell."
"I must decline. Sparring has never been something I have been good at."
"You're… The kind with great power, but not good control?"
He was rather familiar with that.
Him, his mother and his sister all fit neatly under that umbrella.
"No, quite the opposite, actually."
He waited for some followup to that statement… But it didn't come, as she instead, in a perfectly properly seated position, drank her tea with both hands.
There was… Something here.
Some bigger mystery about this woman.
Instead of delving into that though, he instead asked about something else that had been bothering him.
"So… You are Izuku's girlfriend?"
"I am his fiancee. That is quite a bit further along Ryoga-Chan."
"I mean… It can be… But from what I've seen, you two seem to actually be lovers already."
He immediately realized that could be taken the wrong way.
"N-not to pry, I just… I thought it seemed pretty obvious and all!"
Kasumi cocked her head at that, looking at his faintly blushing face.
"Yes… Like a little brother."
That comparison came from Inko, he was sure of that… And it annoyed him.
"Actually I'm the big brother."
"Indeed. But to answer your question… You are mistaken. We are not such yet."
Yet being the keyword here, unless he was mistaken.
"I am very fond of Izuku though, that much is true. Much more so than I would have thought when It was decided I would marry him."
He nodded at that.
"Yeah… There was… Some other engagement right? From what I recall… There was some unclearness about which one of you Izuku would marry. What changed?"
Something clearly must have.
Kasumi had apparently been decided on as a bride at some previous point in time.
There had to be a reason for that.
"A number of things… But yes, there was another engagement… But that has now been effectively called off. Much to Nabiki's joy. When she met the boy many years ago, she managed to unintentionally make him fall rather decisively for her. Something she deeply regretted. When she did that, it was set in stone that I, one way or another, would be Izuku's bride."
That was…
"Thank's, that was a… Very detailed summary."
"I understood what you asked for, Ryoga-Chan, even by implication."
He nodded.
"How long ago was this?"
"About two years before I went into Highschool."
Ah…
He nodded, and took his own draught of tea.
"Yeah I can… See why you weren't too keen on it back then… Izuku's a good guy, but…"
"I am well aware. And he is very much my type, that is true enough… However, most teenage girls do not like the idea of being saddled with an arranged marriage… In particular not one with a young child they had never met."
She was brutally honest.
"But… You like him now?"
That… Was good, he supposed.
Honestly there was a part of him that was a bit annoyed… But a much larger part was happy that Izuku had a girl who seemed to like him.
Another part… One he wasn't quite conscious of, yet in its own way was much bigger than the others, was happier than anything else that it was Kasumi and Nabiki who were Izuku's girls, and not…
"I am."
There was… Surprising level of pride in that statement.
"And what of you Ryoga-Chan? Do you have someone you like?"
Long, flowing blue hair, a face as cute as a button, and a wonderful, wonderful smile suddenly danced through his mind as his stomach did cartwheels, and his cheeks blushed.
"Ah, I… I… That is to say…"
He suddenly had an image of himself in a white tuxedo and Akane in a wedding dress.
Wait…
He… He was in love with her! The kind angel from Tendo Dojo!
That was what this bizarre new feeling was! It was why he was so unfamiliar with it! He'd never so much as dreamed of truly being in love before now, when it had hit him like a hurricane!
The realization that he was actually, genuinely in love, then shot through him like lightning!
…And also made his face blush up like someone had painted it red.
On the other side of the table, Kasumi nodded, and for the first time seemed somewhat amused by him.
"Yes… Absolutely like a brother."
Ryoga just blushed in utter silence, though mouth was still agape.
It was as he did that, that Kasumi turned her head to look out the currently open side of the house and out into the garden with a raised eyebrow.
Ryoga, suddenly overwhelmed by thoughts of Akane, was a bit slow to react and did not turn his head to follow her gaze… Until two sounds sounded from out in the garden.
The first was loud, happy barking, and the other was a loud, girlish cry of: "RYO-NII!"
He startled at that, then his head turned around as down from the walls, just as he had done a few days ago, had now leaped a black and white hound that he immediately recognized… And behind her, still standing up on the wall, was a red haired girl with two pigtails… But had she not yelled out that familiar nickname, he would not at ALL have recognized her.
The girl, with massive force jumped the distance from the wall to the ground level balcony, and hit the wood at the exact same time the black and white dog pounced on him, and after discarding her umbrella to the side under the roof, followed the dog as the 3 of them toppled over in a huge mess of hugs!
"RYO-NII! YOU'RE BACK! FINALLY!"
Before Ryoga managed to reply, he found his face absolutely covered in licks from a wet canine tongue as she practically slobbered all over his face to show how happy she was to see him.
I
Kasumi smiled as the 3 Hibiki's finally disentangled themselves from each other.
"Your sister, I take it Ryoga-chan?"
"Um… Yes, this is-" "Yoiko Hibiki!"
The red haired girl interrupted him with a smile showcasing two huge, massive canines that were the only thing that told that her and her big brother was related.
"I'm Yodoka Hibiki's second born, and I'm 15 years old. Currently employed as a sidekick at the "Agency of Eternally Lost Heroes". It's so nice to meet Ryo-Nii's girlfriend!"
Her beaming smile and the way the hound(Which was currently kneading herself against her master's ribs as he sat politely), gave an affirmative, approving yap, was quite the juxtaposition against Ryoga's suddenly completely stiff face and body.
"W-Wha- SHE'S NOT MY GIRLFRIEND!"
"What? But you two were talking about love and stuff and then you started blushing furiously Ryo-Nii! I thought for sure you two were doing some steamy confession or something!"
The older brother gave her a quick, smack on the back of the head… Which the girl completely ignored, and instead just kept talking.
"So if you're not his girlfriend, miss, who are you? I'm guessing you're one of the Tendo sisters?"
Kasumi observed the rather completely baffled expression on Ryoga's face, and surmised that Yoiko had probably become much more durable(And likely stronger as well) than she'd been the last time the two siblings had met.
"I am indeed. I am Kasumi Tendo, and it's a pleasure to meet you dear."
Yoiko nodded.
"So you're the biggest sister, yeah? The Demon God of 3-B!"
Kasumi sighed.
"It's… Something I was called, yes… It was not a moniker I chose, nor wanted however."
That much was true enough.
Even in regards to her actual, legal epithet as a Pro-Hero, neither Demon, nor God had been anywhere to be seen.
And yet… It had stuck.
Maybe if she actually had gone on to continue as a Hero, her actual, chosen epithet would have been the one which she would be recalled by, but that was a road untaken.
It was not something she had ever wanted either.
She had gone to Yuei because she needed to perfect her training… And because she needed the legal right to be able to do as she pleased, if… Certain things happened.
Ryoga, though, seemed perplexed.
"Wait, you're a Hero, Kasumi-San?"
"I have a license, yes."
"Wait, you haven't heard about her Ryo-Nii? Wow, you HAVE been OUT of the loop. Next you'll tell me you don't know mom is a Hero now!"
Ryoga rolled his eyes.
"I haven't been THAT out of it."
The older boy said, annoyed.
"Yodoka… I am not familiar with your mother's name."
"I wouldn't think you'd be. Mom is strong, but… Well, she's a ranked hero… But she might as well have been an unranked, underground Hero for all the good it does her."
Both siblings for a moment seemed a bit awkward.
"Yeah… I can't imagine her managing to do anything official… Not with her directional sense."
"Yeah… I don't think you'll do much better than us Ryo-Nii. We basically just move on from place to place as we strike down villains we come upon. There's… A market for that… But it's not exactly the kind that makes the big bucks… Especially when mom refuses to do sexy photoshoots and market herself and stuff."
The big brother stared at her absolutely dumbfounded. Then narrowed his eyes.
"I will NOT allow you to do that."
Yoiko, for the first time snorted derisively.
"As if I was ever gonna… I'm just saying it as it is. We don't make that much money… But at least we still have our dignity!"
She cheered up again immediately.
"But back to the important stuff… Who was the girl he got all flustered about Kasumi-San? There has to have been someone, cause that was the face of a shy maiden if I ever saw one! It was so cute!"
Her brother gave another smack to the back of the head which she ignored as she looked with big, expectant eyes at Kasumi.
"Well… He did not confess that to me actually. You interrupted us, before he could dear… But if I had to take a guess… I can only assume it's Miss Hinako from our school."
As she saw it, it was the only likely suspect in this case.
She fished her phone and quickly showcased to Yoiko a picture of the teacher in question.
"Wow! What a real babe Ryo-Nii! And here I always thought you were into Izuku-Kun!"
Ryoga's face had been… A strange mixture between embarrassed, angry, and mortified… But at that his expression finally snapped out of it.
"W-I AM NOT INTO IZUKU! WHY would you even think that!?"
"Well, you did decide to ditch school forever just to chase after him. Then followed him across the entire world. Mom always said she'd be surprised if you didn't come home one day to declare you got him to ditch his fiancee here for you!"
"Did she now?"
Kasumi was both amused… But also a bit annoyed that Yodoka Hibiki had in her own way, given her approval to what she had thought was someone seducing her fiance away from her.
Her younger self would have been happy if that had ended up happening.
Strange how things changed in just a few years.
Ryoga for his part though just buried his face in his hands.
"...THAT'S why she gave her approval to me running off after him…"
"Wait… You "just" realized that Ryo-Nii?"
Apparently it had indeed taken this long for him to realize the very, very obvious fact that most adults who let their kids run off with someone assumed there was probably a romantic element there.
Then again, she did not know the particulars of the Hibiki homelife, so she would not guess at the particulars.
It did not escape Kasumi's notice though, that Ryoga did not in any way confirm that Hinako was the target of his affection.
On the contrary, as he finally managed to get out of his momentary depression, he did not react to his sister mentioning Hinako the way a teenage boy in love would have.
She did not point this out though, and instead considered whether it might be someone else.
And if so, who?
I
"Wait… You're going back home again!? Already?"
The girl, after having talked her way through their reunion for about two hours, had suddenly declared it was time to go home, and had now prepared to do just that after hugging her brother tightly.
"Of course I'm going back home Ryo-Nii… I have stuff to do, you know."
That… Was not the thing that worried Ryoga.
"It'll take you AGES to get home! It must have taken you weeks just to find this place!"
His little sister snorted.
"Unlike you Ryo-Nii, I can actually use a phone… I'll get home in a day or two, just fine."
He felt she was digging a bit at him with that comment… Something that he wasn't sure how to react to.
She'd NEVER been like this before… She had been so much shyer back then.
Also she had dressed exactly the same way he had… But those days were gone it would seem.
It suddenly hit him then… He had been gone for a long, long time.
The last time she and he had seen each other was when he'd entrusted the task of watching over her to Shirokuro…
Speaking of said dog, in sharp contrast to her mistress, the hound was absolutely depressed, sad and miserable at the prospect of once more being separated from her beloved master!
At her sad, sad eyes and whines, he bent down and petted the dog with one hand and scratched her under the chin with the other.
"Don't be like that Shirokuro… You have to protect Yoiko against those wretched kittycats… And now that I'm back in Japan, I'll be back home now and again."
It was probably gonna be like the old days in regards to when he'd be home… However, there was one difference.
"And besides… I'm heading back home for good soon. I… Just have something to do here before that happens."
It was… Weird to be making that kind of decision on the fly… As he was talking to and petting his dog… But as he talked, it finally crystalized in his mind, his heart set ablaze!
He had a goal to work towards now, one that despite all logic and odds, suddenly seemed more important to him than his age old goal of triumphing over Izuku!
He had been struggling with feelings he had never felt, a burning longing in his heart for the girl who had shown him kindness unequaled in his new, horrible life after the curse…
But it was not now, before he was talking with his beloved, black and white Canine that he finally figured out what he needed to do!
The image came back to him then, the image of beautiful Akane, her long, blue hair streaming down her back across a wedding dress as white as snow, and him arm in arm with her, in an equally snow white suit.
One could say whatever one wanted about Ryoga Hibiki, but when he put his mind to it, he gave it his all.
And so, the course that would dictate his life for the foreseeable future was set, based on a woman's kindness in the middle of the night, just as the one that preceded it having all started with an argument that originated from a piece of bread.
"Give me a year or two, and I'll have it done, and then we'll be together again all the time Shirokuro!"
The dog stared at him with huge, dreamy eyes.
"Clever girl isn't she?"
"Yeah, she actually has a Quirk that makes her smarter and easier to both be understood and understand what people say. It's… Exactly the kind of oddball hound Ryo-Nii would pick up by the road."
Then the girl grinned with a sly smile.
"That said… Sounds like you have something in mind before you come back home then Ryo-Nii… I'll be looking forward to it… Ah, right… I almost forgot."
She quickly pulled out a small book from her sleeve.
"Here. It's all the legal jargon and junk you need to know as Mom's sidekick."
She held it out to her brother who suddenly looked confused.
"...When… Did I ever say I wanted to be a Hero?"
Yoiko suddenly snorted derisively again, and as she continued, her voice was suddenly far, far more mature.
"This ISN'T Peru Ryo-Nii. This is Japan. Our Home. The stuff you do here has legal consequences. There are laws that protect kids from the consequences of accidentally wrecking walls and stuff like that with their powers on accident… But you're way past that point now. If you don't want to have to pay for all the stuff you destroy here, accidentally or otherwise as you fight, or just travel, you will have to become a Hero. And since you'll never be able to do it as a school kid, the only possibility is as a sidekick. In this case, Mom's. Just like me."
Ryoga looked at her in absolute surprise as the girl seemed suddenly so much more mature and grown up as she looked down on him, prodding him to take the book.
Behind him, Kasumi nodded.
"Yes… Unless you two are from old money, you will most certainly have to do some unorthodox things to survive."
Both siblings got the exact, forced, stale smile.
"Yeah… Ain't that truth Kasumi-San… Well… Look at the bright side Ryo-Nii. You're gonna have a lot of freetime forward. Just beat villains you meet, and write down all the stuff you find here before sending it to a police office. It's really not that hard."
I
Kasumi waved after the girl as she left in the rain, hoisting her dog over her shoulder as she jumped over the wall, preferring that way to actually going through the gate.
"What a charming young lady."
"Thanks."
"I can't help but notice you did not mention your curse to her."
The boy flinched, like Kasumi had thrown a second shell at his head.
"Yeah… I'd… Rather not…"
He scratched his head.
"I… I didn't want to spoil my reunion with her by bringing it up… And besides… The shame of my new form, PALES in comparison to my new goal!"
She could actually feel his determination roar to life again.
Whatever decision or internal revelation he had come to had lit a spark in his heart.
"I WILL return home for good and all… And when I do, it shall be as a true MAN!"
Ah, that old kind of determination.
She smiled, but this time it was sardonically.
That could work out for him… Or it could backfire rather spectacularly.
With Ryoga though… She had a feeling it would probably be the latter for the most part… With mayhaps a smidge of the former.
I
Ryoga, having finally come to the conclusion of what he had to do, which was to win Akane Tendo's heart, felt both confident, strong, and like his life once more had purpose.
The kind that only Izuku had ever been able to fill before.
A grander, more spectacular goal had been set, and now he had to reach it.
As such, his mother's book was left on the backburner until night came, and he finally decided to skim through it.
It wasn't like he was going to not take it seriously… He definitely was… But he had been planning on learning the ins and outs in detail over the course of this next week…
Then he reached page 32, of what had so far been a very usual procedure book, written in his mother's usual style.
-Ryoga, I have an important job for you. Your first big job as a Hero. Due to legal reasons I cannot under any circumstances be there myself, but I have discovered there is a secret illegal operation taking place at the address and time below.
The operators are Mendo Zaibatsu. The conglomerate is one of the bigger current players in Japan, currently worth 500 000 000 000 or about 336 304 000 Francs if you'd prefer the biggest currency around as a comparison.
You did get some knowledge of France while you were out of the country, yes?
Regardless, the operation is huge, but also there are going to be a lot of things done to ensure total secrecy, and more importantly local Heroes and police will be bribed to ensure it's kept quiet, and down low.
Your job will be to destroy the entire operation by wrecking the entire building, exposing the waste illegal operation to the world, and making it impossible to cover up.
However, there's also gonna be a lot of rather formidable fighters there, along with an entire army of men with guns. Pity they wont have high grade exploding artillery and machine gun fire.
You'll have to deal with them on your own. Which I expect you to be able to do. You can regard it as my way of testing your power if you prefer, to see if your long training journey was worth it after all.
Also, just so you are aware, this entire thing will make you, me and Yoiko a lot of enemies.
The Mendou are a huge thing with lots of tentacles in other things, and by taking the head of the entire thing in one go as this will do(All the heads and leaders of the family will be involved) their entire company and all those working in it, or underneath it will at best suddenly find themselves without a job, or at worst, in jail.
Lots of folks are gonna be caught in the blast. Probably gonna be a lot of folks angry at that.
Also, just so you don't misunderstand Ryoga, this is NOT a request. Good friends of mine have died to get me this information.
You WILL go there, and you WILL get it done. I will accept nothing else from my firstborn son.
Love, your Mother -
Beneath, lots of information regarding the place, time, and info about the building itself, as well as ALL the information about exactly what sort of illegal things(From Human experimentation, to illegally breeding Giant Squids with Quirks, to having stupid amounts of illegal firearms, to a variety of other crimes, big and small).
She had also helpfully noted he needed to find someone else who would be able to lead him there to where and when he needed to be.
Another son might have balked at it all, or felt disappointment that his mother's first contact with him after all these years was a brutal test… But not him.
Instead as his mother had intended, and he read up on the heinous crimes this company was committing, Ryoga felt his heart suddenly burn aflame, but with a different feeling than before tonight.
Ryoga was one who, above anything else, could not stand by and see the strong picking on the weak.
It was a trait of his that was often buried or forgotten underneath his gullibility, short temper, and a tendency to hyperfocus on one, single thing at a time.
But it was always there.
Just as his mother had known it would be.
And just as she knew, the boy would indeed do all in his power to be there that day…
It was not purely selfless though.
As he thought of these people suffering, he considered his mother's words from so long ago.
"It is the duty, Ryoga… Of all Martial Artists to seek monsters… And EVIL, wherever we find it… And destroy it from the surface of the world."
The master who had taught him and Izuku the European blades had similar thoughts on the matter, though his wording had been a bit different, instead replacing monsters with Knaves.
Knave.
That was a fitting word for what he had been a few nights ago.
He still felt the shame, the guilt… But he had been wrong. There was no, ands, ifs, or buts about that.
He now saw his way forward, the great goal he was aiming towards… But there was no way he could truly pursue that as it stood now.
He had acted as a total knave… A creep in the night of the kind him and Izuku had pummeled countless times over their journeys.
If he was to pursue Akane… He would need to do that, as a good man.
He refused to consider anything less.
In its way… This was a way to prove to himself that he could be better… WOULD be better going forward.
He wasn't sure about this whole Hero business… But being a good person despite his flaws was something he had little doubts about.
He would save these poor souls, and destroy this evil business empire… He could not do otherwise, and still to be Ryoga Hibiki, the goodhearted boy who aided the innocent.
It was both the right thing to do… And something he both wanted, and needed to do.
Until the destined day though… It was time to train.
That much was certain.
On the morrow… Him and Izuku would clash anew… Though not in a match of life and death.
Somehow… He had completely moved beyond that.
It had not been sudden… Quite on the contrary, it had been building up for days… But it was as he read over the papers again and considered his and Izuku's interactions in the coming days, that he realized that his anger at Izuku… Had burnt out.
It shouldn't have… But it had.
The simple truth was, he suddenly did not care about his vengeance anymore.
More important things were ahead of him. And his revenge on Izuku… Simply was not a part of those… Nor did he care to try to make it such either.
