Ever since I chose this prompt to do, I wanted to do a parallel to Jacoba's own story. It is my belief that, in order to still keep some autonomy in the field, Jacoba chooses to give out J.D. as her name if asked.

The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.

Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!

Hope you enjoy!

Prompt: "How – how did you find me?"

It had been a while since she'd actually joined the rest of the team when doing a "guns blazing" mission (as she called their current plan). They were going after a sex trafficking ring for Church, one of the very few missions that she'd actually agreed to from the CIA agent. So far, they hadn't come across any of the victims of the ring, but Jacoba knew that it was only a matter of time before they found them. The team had found her when she was kidnapped, after all.

The team had come to a corridor with many off shoots after a while and, since there were too many to pair off, Barney indicated for each of the team members to branch off. All responded with a nod and went on their way. Jacoba took one of the first branches, clearing rooms as she went.

She had only gotten about halfway down the hall when the door that she opened didn't actually lead to an empty room. Upon opening it, Jacoba found a young woman (probably no more than sixteen, if she were to take a guess) huddled into the far corner of the room. The Amazon immediately shouldered her rifle and raised her hands in a placating or surrendering gesture. "Hey, sweetheart. It's alright. I can get you out of here."

It took a minute for the young woman to even look in the Amazon's direction. Jacoba, as she inched closer to the younger woman, could now see the lack of clothes (seriously, she was clad in just a tank top and a pair of shorts) and the haunted look in her eyes. The Amazon almost missed hearing the young woman responding, since she talked so quietly. "How. How did you find me?"

Jacoba smiled softly as she grabbed a blanket from a stack she'd clocked on her way by. "The team I work with is just that good. What's your name, sweetheart?"
"Anna."

"Alright, Anna. I'm J.D. Were there any other girls that you have seen around here?"
Anna tilted her head to the side as Jacoba draped the blanket over her shoulders. She shook her head. "No, they took the other girls away this morning. One of the bad guys said they were headed to the container. They only left me because they said I was too old to sell."

Jacoba nodded. "Alright, give me a moment to update my team and get someone to finish what I started and then we'll get out of here." She held out her hand for Anna to take (which she did). "And, they may be all men, but don't worry; they're all a bunch of teddy bears." At Anna's small smile, Jacoba reached her hand up to her ear and began to speak. "Hey, boss. Have I got a development for you."
