Chapter 5: The Pain Games

Morning has finally arrived over the Wrath Ring and the big Harvest Moon Festival was in full swing as many demon residents were all gathering and attending on the festival grounds set up between some old school western style buildings. Everything was pretty much the same as last time as Wally Wackford was up on the large wooden stage welcoming all the festival attendees like usual. Stolas himself was of course there as he was patiently sitting on a stool behind Wally with the Grimoire on his lap.

"I SAY I SAY Y'ALL, WELCOME AND I MEAN WELCOME TO THIS YEAR'S EXCITING HARVEST MOON FESTIVAL OF THE WRATH-A RING! OUR TOP FAVORITE EVENT OF THE YEAR IN ALL OF HELL! FOR THOSE OF YOU FIRST TIMERS THAT JUST SHOWED UP, I HOPE YOU ARE ALL READY TO WITNESS SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY THAT OUR PRINCE STOLAS-A HERE HAS IN STORE FOR US!"

Wally enthusiastically shouted into the microphone with his voice blasting out of the stage speakers as he spun his cane around in his other hand. And right on cue, Stolas stood up from his stool and took the mic from Wally to give his part of the speech.

"*Clears throat* Well Well hello to all of you my lovely Imps of Wrath Ring and am I delighted to be here today once again!" Stolas happily announced into the microphone

As Stolas spoke on stage, we cut over to the Murder Professionals who were walking into the festival grounds in a different area. Blitzo, Moxxie, and Millie took in the sights of the festival as Loona was following behind them with Jax riding on her shoulders. Jax looked left and right of his surroundings taking in the festival with all the people. There were plenty of concession stands set up here and there selling various things like freshly harvested vegetables or souvenirs, even delicious cooked snacks. Jax liked the nice strong welcoming smell that the festival gave off with a scent of food, spices, and herbs as well as scented candles that were put on display nearby.

"Mommy, what exactly is this festival supposed to be about?" Jax asked Loona

"It's about how much food people have planted and grown throughout the whole year kiddo. That's how much I know." Loona answered

"You mean like farmers?" Jax asked

"Yep, pretty much." Loona said

Pretty soon they all walked up and reached the stage to watch and listen to Stolas with his speech. Jax immediately recognized Stolas upon arrival as he watched him from Loona's shoulders.

"Now for all you muscular imps out there, I dearly hope you are built up and ready for the biggest excitement of the festival! Yes, you all know what I mean!" Stolas announced excitedly

Meanwhile down in the watching crowd, Moxxie was trying to pump himself up as he was determined to try and win the Pain Games this time with little errors.

"Hopefully things will be easier for me this time with Striker not around." Moxxie said to himself

"What was that Moxxie?" Millie asked overhearing his words

"Nothing Honey, I'm just hoping to win in the games this time. I know I will. I can't mess up this time." Moxxie said in determination like a soldier ready to fight

"Oh Moxxie, it's just games. I don't need you to prove how strong you are, just simply do your best and have fun. All the other imps around you may have big muscles, but you have a big heart my sweet MoxMox." Millie smiled wrapping an arm around her husband

Millie's cheery words seemed to help as Moxxie had a thin smile on his face, but still Moxxie was determined on winning seriously.

Later

It was now already time for the Pain Games as everyone was getting fully ready. Blitzo and Moxxie along with many other imps were all doing warm-up stretches on large dirt lot where all the game courses were set up. Next to the lot were large wooden bleachers set up with a high observing platform for Wally and Stolas to watch the games. While all the participating imps were getting warmed up on the dirt, Millie, Loona, and Jax came up on the bleachers to get settled in with the rest of the crowd. The three sat down comfortably ready to watch the games. So far Jax was liking the Harvest Festival for his first time as he was currently enjoying a yummy slice of cheese on a stick that Loona got him from one of the food stands. The same kind of cheese stick Blitzo ate at the last festival during Striker's victory performance.

"So is this the Pain Games?" Jax asked

"It sure is kiddo." Loona said

"I hope you're ready to watch, Jax! My Moxxie is gonna give it all he's got and walk without a sratch!" Millie said enthusiastically like a young cheerleader

15 minutes later

We cut to a revolver being raised in the air by someone before going off.

*BANG!*

The Pain Games were now on as all the imps were now competing in the first challenge which was a simple running race. Moxxie and Blitzo were both running ahead of the rest of the participants. While Blitzo was smiling with excitement, Moxxie was desperately trying not to get trampled on like last time.

"Hope you're ready to Lose Moxxie!" Blitzo shouted

"Just you wait, Sir!" Moxxie angrily shouted back as he kept up his pace as hard as he could

After the race was quickly over, we cut over to the next challenge where Moxxie and Blitzo were going through an obstacle course scaling through different objects. Back up on the bleachers, Millie and Jax were both hyped up and cheering in excitement while Loona just sat quietly in a mellow chill mood with her paws crossed. Suddenly Moxxie and Blitzo were running up to the high wooden vertical wall where they had to leap up over. Moxxie gulped to himself nervously as he knew very well what was on the other side of the wall. After the first few imps got over the wall, Blitzo leaped up and went over the wall with ease while Moxxie attempted to do the same. After reaching the top of the wall, Moxxie was about to jump as far as he could but unfortunately he suddenly lost his footing and fell straight down into the mud puddle with a splash much to his luck. In a split second after hitting the puddle, a huge dangerous and hellish demon shark with six red eyes came popping up and starting savagely chewing on Moxxie just like last time.

Shark: "ROAR!" *CHOMP!* Moxxie: WOAH! WAAHHH! OW!

Meanwhile on the bleachers, Jax cringed at the sight of Moxxie getting hurt as he dropped his cheese stick in sheer shock.

The next challenge was hog tying. We're gonna cut to the chase in this one with Blitzo having already won with a displeased Moxxie laying in the ground with his hands and legs all tied together with strong rope.

"Oh dear oh dear. Poor Moxxie is having it hard again." Millie said as she watched in sorrow

Stolas on the other hand was admiring Blitzo from above the bleachers as he watched with a pair of fancy binoculars.

The next challenge was a tug of war game on a long plank with six against six. Moxxie and Blitzo were on one end of the plank with a random male imp competing with them. Three other opposing imps were on the other end of the plank as the super long rope was now up and stretching as both teams pulled on each other trying to get the middle knot over the red line. The opposing team was pulling strongly with all their muscle forcing Moxxie and Blitzo to put their backs into pulling harder to their side.

"HRRRRRRRRRG!" Blitzo and Moxxie strained

"GO MOXXIE AND BLITZO! LET'S GO!" Jax shouted from the bleachers

"YOU CAN DO IT MOX!" Millie added

The pressure was still on as the knot moved left and right over the red line from the intense pulling battle. But suddenly…

*Crack!*

Immediately both teams stopped pulling upon hearing that abnormal sound coming from under their feet.

*Crack! Creeaak!*

"Uh-Oh. That don't sound right." Blitzo said

"Sir, what was that?" Moxxie asked as the sound grew worse followed by a zig-zag crack line forming across the middle of the brittle plank

The opposing team on the other end knew exactly what was going to happen as they quickly dropped the rope and ran off the board right before disaster struck.

*CRACK! SPLASH!*

The entire plank suddenly broke in half causing Moxxie and Blitzo to both fall into the deep water below them. After they both surfaced, Blitzo spat out some water and wondered what just happened while Moxxie…got attacked by the shark once again.

Shark: "ROAR!" *CHOMP!* Moxxie: OH! OWWWW! FUCK!

"Woah shit, get it together Moxxie." Blitzo said

"That really has to hurt!" Jax said as he watched Moxxie get attacked again

Loona on the other hand was grinning to herself as she was taking a video of Moxxie in his super painful situation with her phone. It was like the shark had real beef with Moxxie.

"Mommy, are they going to be alright?" Jax asked in concern

"Don't worry about them kiddo. They been through worse." Loona kindly assured as she wrapped her arm around Jax

"They will survive Jaxy. Just relax and enjoy." Millie smiled as she gave Jax quick pats on his head

So far the conclusion of the tug of war game was a tie since no one was able to win after the plank broke.

Finally the last challenge of the games was mud wrestling, the messiest challenge of all. Blitzo was wrestling a random imp while Moxxie was fighting three guys on his own. The fight didn't last long as Moxxie was easily outmatched and defeated with him being slammed hard into the mud. After everyone got off of Moxxie, the demon shark returned once again and took a big leap off a fence intending to crush Moxxie like a bomb.

"SHIT! NOT AGAIN!" Moxxie screamed

Jax covered his eyes as the sound of Moxxie getting crushed can be heard off screen.
