Here I am back from my study retreat!
Now I have to get going with the stories.^_^
Enjoy the chapter! :D
When he saw that his son had already gone to his room Tsuyoshi let out a long sigh and walked away from the kitchen to his room, which was completely dark, he approached the light switch.
When the light finally illuminated the room, he approached his nightstand, where different portraits rested, his hand trembled before he grabbed one of these. His expression twisted, pain showing in his eyes.
On the wooden portrait was a newly turned four year old boy with an animated smile, leaning on his shoulder was a baseball bat.
- Takeshi... for give me son - Tsuyoshi will always regret that day with all his soul, after all that day he not only saw his eldest son depart, but that day his youngest son was taken from him, the son who had nothing to do with the underworld who only wanted to play baseball with all his being.
- THIS IS TOTALLY EXTREME - Kyoya wanted to bite the screaming herbivore to death, unable to do so because of the threat of his omnivorous boss.
Colonnello watched nervously as Ryohei cooked.
- Ryohei... there's no water in that kora.
- You are EXTREMELY RIGHT - the guardian of the Sun threw a liter of water into the pot with the rice that looked somewhere between toasted and burnt, a twitch appeared in the arcobaleno's eye.
Shoichi clutched his stomach as he cringed and Spinner looked at him in boredom - Colonnello-san, on your missions, it's not Ryohei who does the cooking, is it?
Colonnello opened his eyes big towards Shoichi - As much as I appreciate Ryohei I wouldn't put him in charge of kora food, besides, Takeshi and Hayato mostly take care of the cooking, well, Takeshi most of the time keeps Hayato from blowing up the kora kitchen.
Shoichi started sweating and his stomach ache got worse - What do the others do besides everything you told us about?
- Chrome teaches some things to Lambo, who most of the time wants to play or make jokes, Mukuro spies on the enemy famiglias and if he can he plays with them, Ryohei by Tsuna's orders has to take cooking classes, which were interrupted by the mission to come to Namimori and Kyoya goes back and forth kora - the simple explanation made Shoichi put a hand on his forehead.
- If that's how the others are most of the time, I don't want to know what the other three are doing - Colonnello smiled and Shoichi snorted.
- Takeshi goes back and forth, checking that Hayato doesn't end up with a caffeine overdose or a sudden blackout from exhaustion and that Tsuna for the eighth time doesn't completely destroy his desk, kora.
- Tsuna forces Hayato not to skip medical checkups, keeps the volatile famiglias at bay from the shadows, while also trying to be friendly with the paperwork. Hayato as the storm that is and as a right hand is in charge of communicating with the allied famiglias, prevents Tsuna from staying awake to do the paperwork and is the one who faces the mafias that want to cause problems in the kora territories - Colonnello sighs tiredly - for most of the days were complicated, kora.
Shoichi looked towards the duo of Sun and Cloud - Except for those two kora - Irie laughed nervously at the clarification.
An explosion sounded and Colonnello and Shoichi looked at each other to move forward to where the kitchen used to be.
- Herbivore - hissed Hibari - I will bite you to death.
Hibari took out his tonfas, God knows from where and launched himself to attack Ryohei who only dodged the blow - KYOYA, TSUNA WILL ONLY FIND OUT THAT YOU ATTACKED ME TO THE EXTREME - the named ignored the warning - WELL, THIS WILL BE FUN TO THE EXTREME.
Colonnello, Shoichi and Spinner watched as the duo attacked each other, destroying the kitchen.
- We'll have a lot of cleaning to do - Spinner argued bored, Shoichi grimaced at the idea and Colonnello sighed.
A closed for maintenance sign was hanging on the door of the cafeteria the next day.
Kyoko read the sign a little surprised along with Hana.
- Wow, this is the first time they've closed for maintenance.
- They are probably remodeling.
Hana thought for a moment, she had noticed the concern on her friend's face - Kyoko, did something happen?
Kyoko was a little startled and then a sad smile appeared on her face.
- Something, something happened to Knuckle-nii, yesterday all the way home he was silent and when we arrived he locked himself in his room - Kyoko clenched her hands - I don't know what to do, I can't see him like this.
Hana frowned, she didn't know how to help her, because she hardly knows her friend's brother, after thinking about it she possibly found a solution.
- Come on Kyoko - she grabbed Kyoko's hand and started to lead her to the center.
- Wait Hana, where are we going? - the aforementioned girl looked up at her and smiled a thin smile.
- Let's go to the center - a "huh?", was what she received as an answer, she snorted a little for having to explain what had occurred to her, after all she was far from being good at it - Well, they always say that a full stomach is a full heart.
Kyoko looked at her blinking, and Hana put a hand to her face from embarrassment, before long it was Hana who was being taken to the center by Kyoko, a radiant smile was drawn on the younger girl's face.
- Thank you Hana, I hadn't thought of that - Hana snorted, but still smiled.
Ryohei looked at the different stores in the center of Namimori with Colonnello on his shoulder, the guardian of the Sun had a hood covering his head.
- Ryohei - the youngest turned his head towards his shoulder, Colonnello was frowning slightly - exactly what are we looking for kora?
Ryohei looked around again - we still found no trace of them - he narrowed his eyes - but I'm sure they're still in Namimori.
Colonnello nodded, let out a whistle and before long Falco was flying around them.
- Then I'll go investigate, on the other side, so we'll have the area covered kora - Ryohei nodded, Falco grabbed Colonnello and took flight - besides I can expose Ryohei if I continue at his side kora - he gave a brief glance to his peacemaker who was chained - At the moment that idiot Reborn is one of the few who knows I'm here kora.
He had moved quite far away from Ryohei when he spotted someone familiar, his mouth opened slightly.
- Shit kora - Falco flew again with more speed away from the duo, he knew that Sasagawa Kyoko was still waiting for her brother to return, however, this was not the right day or time for that reunion.
"Just seeing Ryohei again will involve her in far worse danger than her older brother being the guardian of Vongola kora" After all those guys who orchestrated everything seven years ago were still breathing and acting.
Ryohei looked sideways at everyone he came across, as much as this place was where he was born it was now unfamiliar territory, well, for anyone other than Hibari Kyoya.
A discomfort was growing in his being, he squinted his eyes straight ahead. Time seemed to move slowly, Ryohei's eyes widened in surprise, a black haired man walked past him, he had advanced a few steps from him, but still he could see the sadistic smile on his face.
Time returned to normal and Ryohei was breathing raggedly, less than two seconds passed when the guardian of the Sun clenched his fists and teeth tightly, the hatred was noticeable five blocks away.
- You fucking bastard! - Ryohei had only one objective at that moment and that was to kill the damned vermin that caused hell for him and his family.
Colonnello moved a little away from the group of friends, until she saw Ryohei running towards them... "What happened?"
The duo of friends hadn't noticed because they were window shopping, as they turned around to continue they were startled when a boy in a hoodie ran past them.
Colonnello frowned and flew with Falco to chase after Ryohei "Ryohei never acts like that unless it's for..." she opened her eyes wider, ordering her partner to fly faster.
Hana took a deep breath trying to calm down from the sudden fright, she looked up from where the person had run and folded her arms with furrowed brows.
- How could she be behaving like this? A little more and we would end up on the floor - she sighed to calm down and turned to her friend who was still strangely silent - Is something wrong Kyoko, didn't you get hurt?
Kyoko looked with wide eyes in the direction where the hooded man went.
- Kyoko? - the concern in her friend's tone, forcing her to come back to earth, she turned to Hana, she felt her hands trembling, even her own throat.
- Hana - the trembling and anxiety combined with emotion were in Kyoko's tone worrying Hana more and she came closer - w-was it him.
Hana blinked in confusion - Kyoko, who do you mean?
- My older brother, Ryohei! I saw him, I'm sure - the gleam of hope was in her eyes, Hana was still worried.
- You couldn't have mistaken him for someone else," Kyoko denied vehemently.
- No, I know it's him, I know it - Kyoko ran to where the guy had run followed by Hana. "Onii-san!"
Ryohei was still running, he saw the man turn a corner, he quickened his pace entering what seemed to be an alley, with no one in sight, his eyes moved all around trying to find him without any success.
He clenched his fists and hit the wall next to him hard, almost shattering it. The sudden flames of the rain relaxed him and he looked up, Colonnello together with Falco were looking at him with concern.
- Ryohei, what happened, kora? - the youngest gritted his teeth, when suddenly his body tensed, he looked around and took a few unsteady steps, as if something had hit him, his breath came in short gasps.
- I saw him - the coldness in the tone already made Colonnello understand - that bastard is still here.
- But something else is going on, isn't it kora? - Ryohei nodded, Colonnello noticed the absent look on the boy's face.
- I don't remember how I was taken there, but Tsuna and Takeshi told me we were captured in an alleyway with bullets, I half remember when Kyoya was covered in blood but not as much as Takeshi.
Colonnello frowned at the remains of the alley, it looked moderately normal, only, he could notice different dents in the wall as on the floor, dried stains that could be from years ago and paltry traces of what could have been flames.
He dropped on Ryohei's shoulder calling his attention, a smile furrowed on the arcobaleno who gave him a little bump on the head - You know you can count on us for whatever you need kora. I may not have met you until much later along with Fon, but we will do our best to support you kora.
- Thanks to the EXTREME Master Colonnello! - Ryohei perked up, he was about to say something until hurried footsteps came closer, startling them both.
- We've got civilian trouble kora - beads of sweat trickled down the arcobaleno's face, briefly remembering his fellow storm's advice to "keep a low profile", he heard Ryohei curse his luck.
They braced themselves for the arrival of any civilians related to the tenth generation as the quiet flames of the fog covered them.
- Be on time - both Colonnello and Ryohei turned at that familiar voice, a girl with violet hair pulled back in a pineapple shape, and a right eye patch materialized a few steps away from them. She wore a lilac dress which was covered by a black cloak and a hood covered her head, the black garment had indigo lace, and the newcomer's trident was clutched tightly in her right hand.
Joy was on both of their faces at the sight of the young woman, though they kept hearing the footsteps of those approaching.
- Let's go - the subtle suggestion made them both look at each other.
- Chrome, won't they notice? - the girl blinked and slightly smiled and shook her head.
- They don't have to worry, this won't let them see us.
They both nodded and walked away from the alley along with the second fog guardian.
Kyoko together with Hana arrived at the alley almost out of breath, finding nothing, Hana sighed and Kyoko frowned.
- Kyoko... - the named closed her eyes and breathed, she turned around noticing the concern in her friend, she smiled and denied.
- I'm fine Hana, I just... I thought I saw him, I may have grown up in all these years, but even if I change I will always be able to recognize him.
- Do you still think it was him? - he nodded to that question with a smile.
- I couldn't see him face to face, but just knowing that he is well makes me happy - she clasped her hands around her bag, opened her eyes that she didn't know she had closed, looked up and smiled - I am sure that one day we will meet again.
Hana sighed and put a hand on her friend's head - you are very kind Kyoko, but at least if you find him, you should give him a blow for worrying your family.
Kyoko kept smiling and they started to leave the alley to head to their homes.
Hana said goodbye to her after dropping her off at her house and walked to her house.
"If I ever get to be the one to find him, I'll give her a beating for worrying her friend so much" Hana always knew that Kyoko missed her missing brother. She remembered when one night when she first stayed at her friend's house, the younger girl while she slept was still looking for her brother.
That news of the disappearance of those children terrified many citizens as well as Hana's parents who for a while had forbidden her to go to school for her safety.
I also noticed how the news faded as the days and months went by and in the following years it was no longer heard, I remembered the names of those children like a broken record. Every moment he talked to Kyoko made him remember those names several times... Sawada Tsunayoshi, Sasagawa Ryohei, Hibari Kyoya and Yamamoto Takeshi.
He looks up to the sky, he doesn't know what he must have gone through in all those years, but it's possible that nothing pleasant, he sighs and he doesn't know how many times he sighs during the day "I hope Kyoko and his brother can meet him."
They had gone quite far away from the center of Namimori, staying in a forest, Chrome undid his illusion and took a deep breath.
- Long time no see Chrome to the EXTREME- Colonnello denied amused as well as the youngest.
- Same here, Tsuna and the others miss you.
- By the way, Nagi - the named one looked at the guardian of the Sun, expectantly, she knew that tone and it was not good at all - did you see anyone before we met?
- Did you see anyone? No, I didn't see anyone - the younger girl frowned, at the face of the elder - Ryohei-nii, who did you see?
- That man - Chrome remained mute, slight tremors appeared in her body as she tightened her grip on her trident even more, Ryohei and Colonnello approached trying to calm the younger girl down. - Everything will be fine, Nagi, we are Kyoya, Master Colonnello and I, we will not allow her to get close.
The younger girl nodded and took a breath to calm down, until she remembered something and took out her flip phone and looked for something, both men looked at each other curiously.
- Hayato-kun was investigating a famiglia for about a week - she walked down with speed to a point and turned her phone towards the two who accompanied her - from what she could find this matter involves not only Vongola, but it's of a greater magnitude.
They had arrived at the cafeteria followed by Nagi who looked around with mild excitement.
- Welcome, you were late, it's already getting dark - Shoichi approached to welcome them until he noticed the new member.
- Long time no see Shoichi-kun - Chrome greeted him briefly as well as Spinner who had approached.
- Yes, it's been a while Nagi-san, go ahead and make yourselves comfortable. - Shoichi dragged Spinner with him towards the kitchen or rather what's left of it to prepare something.
Hibari had returned an hour before the guardian of the Sun and the arcobaleno, but when they arrived he felt a familiar presence that made him frown. He got up and went downstairs only to meet the younger sister of the first mist guardian, he gave her a brief salute and turned on his heel to leave when something stopped him.
- Hibari! Where are you going to the EXTREME - she stopped herself from hitting him when she noticed the sudden seriousness in the enthusiastic herbivore, she approached again followed by the other.
The seating arrangement was odd, Chrome and Colonnello were seated on the right while Shoichi and Spinner in the middle, Hibari and Ryohei were seated on the left.
- I'll start from the beginning, Hayato-kun was investigating for a week a famiglia and in that he found something - Shoichi had passed him a computer which Nagi handled with speed - there were found several data of the tenth generation as well as its current location and that of all its relatives...
The computer's access sound was heard - not only that, several Vongola's data that are supposed to be of privacy were in that place - several tabs opened on the screen - crucial information of the ninth generation, of Vongola's allies like Cavallone, Simon, of CEDEF itself, nothing was saved.
Nagi put down the keyboard, grabbed the computer and turned it around for everyone to look at - from what he found, these are looking to use the tenth generation for an experiment - on the screen were the faces with the first and last names of the members of the new generation with all the information about them, most felt a knot in their stomachs.
- Although there is more - a single click was enough for the screen to change to another one which made both guardians tense with different emotions, Colonnello looked with murderous hatred at the words on the screen - apparently they plan to continue with the experiment they couldn't finish with us.
The screen showed each of Tsuna's guardians including himself, but the images were from years ago, except for one. When they entered a name it had information on the experiments he was induced into and what adverse effects it brought him.
- "Project Reborn" - the mere name gave the arcobaleno a bad feeling, it literally said Reborn.
Ryohei pulled the computer closer towards him and entered the different files, his eyes quickly went through the letters to jump to the next one, until he reached the storm guardian, he had a look of displeasure as he finished reading, from Hibari's expression, Ryohei could guess that he also read all the files.
- Other than that it looks like they ran out of ideas for the name. The only thing I experienced in this so-called "rebirth" was memory loss, so I don't see the point of this crap - if it wasn't Shoichi's computer I was sure he would put his fist through the screen.
- Nagi, what's the conclusion Hayato and Tsuna came to? - the younger girl's gaze darkened and her shoulders stiffened.
- Hayato said that there must be more famiglias supposedly allied to Vongola that are involved in all this, and that possibly this information is incomplete, he told me that it was better that I came to support them because he felt that they could do something in Namimori and not just a confrontation.
- The simple fact that he is here is already a warning that nothing good awaits Namimori. Yes Kyoya - his companion scrutinized him with his gaze which he returned - he is here and don't look at me like that, he is still a sneaky rat.
Hibari averted his gaze to the window and folded his arms.
Chrome raised his hand and placed an object in the center of the table and everyone understood the message Tsuna was giving them.
- Boss, I ordered that everyone could do whatever they wanted if we found those responsible and that... - the coldness appeared in Chrome's tone, something unusual for her - the traitors of Vongola must be killed.
They each nodded seriously, after all they knew something was up with Vongola when a punch to the keyboard out of frustration years ago allowed them to enter the database with all the information on them.
Ryohei, Kyoya and Chrome knew that experiment they went through by fire.
Chrome would not allow her older brother to have to go through that, like her older brother Mukuro and her along with her friends did, before they would kill her if they wanted to touch her brother, the sudden throbbing where her right eye was is the reminder of her ordeal.
Ryohei knew that Kyoya was more than happy with the idea of slaughtering anyone responsible for disturbing the peace in his beloved Namimori years ago. Although Ryohei himself did not remember most of his past he knew full well that he had some connection to the tenth generation guardian and the mere thought of him along with the rest of the tenth generation taking his place in what he experienced there was unthinkable.
His past was a blur, yes, but his time in that place will always be in his head. He remembers the tears of his younger siblings, the blood that covered their bodies, the almost lifeless body of one always haunts him in his sleep, at several moments he thought he would lose any of them in his arms.
When they managed to escape he felt as if he was coming back to life, but that was only the beginning, they lived through many things that brought them to the brink of death and some were not legally ethical, being saved by those they now considered their family.
As Tsuna said most of the time fate had something against them. Ryohei swore to himself that he would not allow anyone to go through what they went through in that place, his scars burned as if he had received them the day before. He who made them suffer would regret it.
Colonnello watched them go to their rooms and escorted the other two remaining children to the door to see them off.
- Things seem to be getting even more complicated - Shoichi and Spinner turned around and waved goodbye to the arcobaleno - See you Colonnello-san, get some rest.
- Likewise, and be careful on your way back, kora - the children nodded and retreated towards their homes.
He turned around and closed the door of the store, advanced a few steps to sit on a chair. This was Tsuna's first base, a simple and discreet coffee shop, he had come up with the idea three years ago and had only recently succeeded in carrying it out.
He sighed for a moment, he knew that emotions and memories peeked at the children, the mere thought of the tenth generation falling into the hands of those who hurt the children was terrifying, but he was sure that the idiot Reborn wouldn't allow any of his students to be touched. He didn't know this new generation well, but he knew his siblings quite well so he halfway cared about Reborn's students.
Both he and Fon did not report to Vongola because they preferred to stay out of it, for both of them their top priority was Tsuna and the other kids. Sometimes the bitter memory of when they captured one came back keeping him just one click away from taking a shot.
The consequences those experiments brought to the children was somewhat disturbing, the scumbags who did it just wanted to have fun it seemed.
Tsuna was not someone who was ruled by revenge. However, one thing he would not forgive was to have his family's hair touched, so he understood the decision of the boy who saw all the suffering of his family in that hell and the simple fact that they planned to use his brother and his guardians as they did with them would not be forgiven.
Colonnello looked up into the darkness of the night, if he felt all the overflow of emotions he doesn't want to imagine how his partner who was left with the more volatile ones will be.
- It seems that the days ahead will be complicated, good luck Fon, kora.
