Before I start, I just want to say that I don't know how Banjo and Kazooie, I never worked on the games. This is just an idea I have for this particular story. Hope you like it. WARNING: What you are about to read may cause you to die of cuteness overload. Stop reading now if you don't want to explode in joy. Are you gone? Still here? Alright, but you've been warned.

The entrance of the temple (and exit) exploded.

Because I wanted it to.

Out flew our heroes... and Blubbers and Bloatazin.

"Mmm hmmph mmm mmph." said Bloatazin with his stuck in the sand.

"Aha!" laughed Blubbers, picking himself and snatching up the trinket laying right in front of Bloatazin.

"Oh!" moaned Bloatazin, pulling his head from the sand, and going after Blubbers "Hey, that's my trinket!"

Meanwhile, Kazooie and Banjo came to. Kazooie looked over at Banjo sitting in the sand.

"Ow, my head." groaned Banjo just before Kazooie let out a bloodcurdling screech "WOAH!"

Banjo crawled on his back as the green egg-shaped fire ignited in her beak.

"W-W-Wait Kazooie!" pleaded Banjo "It's me, B-Banjo!"

"Fry him Kazooie." ordered the Zombie King inside Kazooie's head "Blast him into oblivion!"

"K-Kazooie!" cried Banjo, scooting up against a palm tree "Don't you remember me?"

"Now!" ordered the Zombie King, the fire in Kazooie's beak growing larger "END THIS BEAR!"

"No!" shouted Banjo, putting his paws up in front of his face "It's me, you're friend!"

Kazooie's flame melted.

"F-Friend?" whispered Kazooie.

"Kazooie?" said Banjo, looking up at his friend.

"Friend." whispered Kazooie yet again, remembering the day she first made a friend.

Twenty years ago...

"Tooty, I got some breakfast!" called a very young Banjo, bringing a giant blue egg into the house.

"Bweakfass, bweakfass, yay!" cheered baby Tooty, Banjo's little sister.

"I had to climb the... urg... biggest tree I ever saw to get it." explained Banjo as he pushed the heavy egg onto the stove "So how do you like yours?"

Before Banjo could turn the stove on the egg shook, frightening both Banjo and Tooty.

"Ooh, scawy." cried Tooty, hiding behind her big brother.

The egg shook and it shook some more, and then... CRACK! The egg busted open and inside sat a little red bird, about Tooty's size. The bird tilted it's head right, and Banjo and Tooty did the same. The bird tilted it's head left, and Banjo and Tooty did so as well.

"M-Mama?" the bird said, still tilting it's feathered head from left to right.

"N-No." said Banjo, shaking his head.

"P-Papa?" asked the bird.

"No." answered Banjo "I'm Banjo and this is my little sister Tooty. Who are you?"

"I..." the bird paused "I don't know."

"You don't have a name?" asked Banjo.

"Budee! Budee!" laughed Tooty, running over to the couch to fetch her kazoo.

Banjo looked at his sister blowing the kazoo. He looked at the bird. The kazoo kind of reminded him of a beak. Just then Banjo got it.

"I know, how about Kazooie?"

"Yeah, I like that name." Kazooie smiled.

"Zooie, zooie!" laughed Tooty, still blowing her kazoo.

Bang, boom.

"What was that?" asked Kazooie, looking outside at the drips of rain falling on the window.

"That's thunder." said Banjo "It's starting to rain."

CRASH!

"BREEEEE!" screeched Kazooie, jumping out of the egg as fast as she could and hiding in a blue backpack on the floor.

"Kazooie?" Banjo walked over to the backpack and looked inside.

"W-What was that?" asked Kazooie, shivering with fear.

"That was lightening." said Banjo "But it won't hurt you, there's nothing to be afraid of."

Kazooie stopped shivering, but she was still afraid to come out. She heard the rain falling on the window outside. She didn't want to hear the big scary sounds again.

"Zooie." giggled Tooty, waddling over to Kazooie and reaching out her kazoo to her.

Kazooie took the kazoo in her beak and blew, liking the sound that came out of it. She started blowing a little tune, forgetting about the thunder and the lightening outside. She danced and laughed with her brand new friends, ready for any adventure that comes her way.

Present day...

"B-Banjo." said Kazooie, finally snapping out of the Zombie King's control, yet still in a zombified state.

"Kazooie?" said Banjo, noticing his friend coming to her senses.

"Banjo!" cheered Kazooie, happy to see her best buddy again.

Banjo leaped up off the ground and wrapped his arms around Kazooie. In return Kazooie wrapped her wings aroused Banjo. But the happy was soon spoiled after the two heard a very familiar laugh from above.

"Grunty!" blurted Banjo, breaking from his friend's embrace and standing in front of her in case the witch pulls one of her dirty tricks.

"Stupid bear, you look like a schnook. You haven't realized that I now have the book." laughed Grunty, showing the book to her arch nemesis.

"Oh no." said Banjo quietly, now realizing this fact.

"Let's take a look at this book of spells and find out which one shall end both your tales. " murmured Grunty, opening the Nocturnis.

"Give that back Grunty!" Banjo ordered "We need it to defeat the Zombie King!"

"What's this you say? The Zombie King? Who needs zombies when I have this thing?!" laughed Gruntilda as flew away on her broom.

"Come back here!" shouted Banjo, watching the witch fly over the trees.

"I wish I could, but I must fly. I must go talk to this Zombie King guy!"

Banjo watched as Grunty got further away.

"Well, you ready to go on another adventure?" asked Banjo, turning towards Kazooie.

"I thought you'd never ask." said Kazooie excitedly, jumping into Banjo's backpack.

"It's good to have you back Kazooie. But I wish I could get you out of that zombie form you're in." said Banjo to his friend.

"Yeah yeah whatever. I'll talon trot, we'll catch up to her quick. And when we do her butt I'll kick." said Kazooie, ready for some action.

"Did you just rhyme?" asked Banjo.

"Oh great, it's catching. "

And so Kazooie talon trotted towards the trees after the witch.

Meanwhile, in Spiral Mountain... or what's left of it anyways, the Zombie King watched Kazooie through his flame.

"KAZOOIE!" shouted the Zombie King, pounding his fist on the arm of his throne "I've lost control of her, but no matter, there's still some fear left. And shall manipulate it, until it finally takes it's toll, hahaha. "
