Deku stirred in his sleep, his usually hyper eyes very tired. An unusual comfort surrounded his body. Except his side protested very much. Instantly recognizing the feeling, a chilling smile suddenly spread on his face, his emerald-green eyes shooting open as he yanked his upper self up. He was always on natural and immediate guard when he found himself in these situations, ready to fight against heroes and enemy villains when necessary. However, his situation was not the usual one during this moment. He found himself in a small room furnished with only the bed he was in and a nightstand with a lamp. Daylight seeped in through closed blinds in front of the window next to the bed. Turning to the door, he noticed a small piece of paper sitting on the nightstand, folded in half so it was standing up. His gloves, a glass of water and a white pill on a plate were sitting next to it.

Drink Me ;)

A moment of silence passed before Deku chuckled darkly, his smile never leaving his face. Cute.

An obvious ploy.

Deku, like many villains, has experienced his fair share of people trying to trick him into making foolish mistakes, and they therefore made a massive mistake themselves. As he taught them lessons they would never forget. It was almost a daily thing for him, outsmarting and turning the tables on those who went up against him.

Now, now, who would be so bold as to try and poison him with such an obvious trick?

He most certainly had to rule out his dear 'friend' as being the one who did this, as he knew for a fact that bastard would never try to poison him. Or at least not like this. He would make Deku go through hell before finishing him off. And his secret headquarters most definitely did not look like this place. Who else could it be, Deku wondered?

Come to think of it, the whole surrounding atmosphere was abnormal for a villain's or even a hero's headquarters. It was much too homey. The bed was so comfortable, the bedsheets and entire room smelled so fresh and very clean, like it hadn't been lived in yet. It reminded him of his old home with his mom. No one he knew would put him through this scenario.

Unless of course he was facing a new kind of enemy. What a creative way to let his guard down.

Deku threw the blankets off his legs and grabbed the glass of water and pill from the nightstand, effectively ignoring the pain in his side for only a moment. Feeling bare, he looked down and realized he was only wearing his pants and socks. His vest, shirt, shoes, and tie were missing and his side was wrapped well in bandage tape. Why would someone take care of his injury? What was also new, he felt the familiar bulge of his knife still in his pocket. The enemy hadn't bothered to shake him down while he was unconscious?

Either way, he was going to shove the pill down the enemy's throat and spill the water down the wrong pipe if they dared cross him. Break the glass and use it to slice them up if need be.

The green-haired boy caught a faint aroma by his nose before slowly opening the bedroom door. Slowly and dramatically peeking his face out, he found a dark and empty hall awaiting him. The left led to nothing but closed doors while the right showed what appeared to be part of a living room and kitchen connection. A sweet smell was coming from that direction, as if someone were baking something.

A melody of light, feminine hums echoed from there, along with the light clattering of moving pots, pans and utensils.

His unnerving smile formed into a sick grin. Ah, a girl? This will be fun. Deku thought, already contemplating how things will go down. Could it be Toga? Though the humming was light like Toga's, the voice sounded different. That humming was followed by light words, singing a song he hadn't heard before.

Deku crept to the end of the hall and peeked to the left. He spotted a very long, straight waterfall of platinum-blonde hair swaying ever so gently with the homeowner's movements. The girl was moving a bowl with her left hand while moving something with her right hand, a pattern playing out. Deku could see a bit of the kitchen, finding that the small space was kind of messy due to having been prepping food. There were cooking tools and other equipment dirty and off to the side, along with an untouched piping bag and two plates with bacon and eggs. Two little ramekins of rice were also present with the plates.

"Love is all that I need…And I found it there in your heart." The girl sung so soft and sweetly. "It isn't too hard to see…we're in Heaven."

The girl turned her head to the side as she moved toward the stove. Deku could see now that she was holding a cooking paddle and was folding some kind of batter. His emerald eyes gazing up at the girl's face, his grin softened a little. He didn't recognize this person at all, not that it mattered. She could just be someone working for an enemy. It was pretty stupid for her to bring him to her house, if this was in fact her real home, that is. Regardless, not restraining him was beyond foolish.

Luna was currently humming one of her favorite songs while folding batter for soufflé pancakes. She had woken up rather early and the boy she brought home last night still wasn't awake, so it wouldn't hurt to get started early. Once the egg whites were completely folded into the mixed ingredients, she turned away to grab the piping bag.

Intense green came into her peripheral vision.

"Oh!" Luna nearly gasped in surprise, spotting the boy she brought home peeking at her from the darkened hallway. She wasn't expecting him to wake up so early. But then again, she was surprised to be up already herself. Luna brightened up at the fact that he was alive and okay. "Hi there! Good morning! I thought you wouldn't wake up for some time longer."

Deku just stared at her. Now he knew for sure he's never seen her before. He felt a warmth rising in his cheeks. The girl standing before him was absolutely stunning. Her straight platinum-blonde hair reached her waist and her periwinkle-colored eyes sparkled with curiosity and relief. She was wearing a stained apron over a white tank top and indigo leggings. She resembled a very bright ray of light.

"How do you feel? Did you take the Ibuprofen?" The girl asked, not noticing Deku holding the unused water and pill since he was hiding it behind the hallway wall.

I figured you'd need it. Is what Deku might've said towards someone threatening him, as he anticipated he would be attacked rather quickly upon awakening. He was the notorious Deku after all, who had just gotten into a fight the night before. Assuming it was last night.

Luna tilted her head a little at the lack of answers. Maybe he was still tired? "Oh, are you still tired? I'm sorry, I should be more understanding. You were in pretty rough shape when I found you. If you want to go back to sleep, that's fine. If you're hungry, I'm making soufflé pancakes."

When the boy didn't answer, Luna figured she should give him a bit more reassurance. She turned away and got back to prepping the batter by filling the piping bag. "No need to be worried. You're in my apartment. You're safe." She assured him, filling the piping bag before snipping the bottom and starting to pipe onto a greased heated pan on the stove. "I don't know what happened last night, but you looked like you were in a rush to get out of there. You were also injured, so I patched you up. I'm glad I was there to help you."

It was true. She was glad to have helped this person when he needed help. Who knows what could've happened if the wrong person showed up instead of her.

Deku just stood there staring at the back of the girl's head, his grin having completely dropped out of confusion.

…Didn't she know who he was?

"I wonder what was going on. I heard police sirens and then found you running, but that's it. If you feel you need to talk about it, feel free to tell me." Luna offered, finishing piping the last pancake before putting the lid on to trap the steam. "Do you want anything on your pancakes? Butter? Powdered sugar? Maple syrup? I have whipped cream."

After another moment of silence, a small smile formed on the boy's still red, freckled cheeks. "M-Maple syrup sounds good." He deliberately stuttered loud enough for her to hear.

"Mhm!" Luna hummed with an eager nod before turning away to grab some from the pantry, along with a few other things. "Your clothes had blood on them, by the way. They're clean now-I hung them up to dry in the laundry room."

This girl was being much too angelic to not have anything up her sleeve. If she was indeed being paid to help trick him, he would most certainly make her boss pay for it in the most horrendous way possible. She would follow suite of course-he'd have his way with her before finishing her off. Though it would be a shame to harm such a gorgeous face.

And yet, something seemed off. But not in a bad way, oddly enough.

Even with complete strangers, Deku was usually very good at sensing emotions from people. Only within a few years did the quirkless teenage boy transform himself into a very infamous and feared member of society. People couldn't even mention his name without giving off the slightest tremble. Villains who have heard or attempted to go up against him and failed miserably feared him and most wouldn't dare try to cross him. Deku was, however, expecting an attack or at least some form of fear or hostility from whoever brought him here.

This girl was showing absolutely no signs of any of that.

She brought him here, patched him up, washed his clothes, and was now feeding him breakfast? Unless…

"…Do you live here alone~?" This was a question similar to what he would ask any lone enemy in a situation like this.

Luna blinked at the sudden question, not detecting the eeriness in the boy's voice as she set the maple syrup and powdered sugar on the table. She glanced at him for a moment, seeing a small smile on his face with his head tilted a bit. "I do." She muttered loudly with her own little smile and a nod before continuing to set the table.

Deku heard a very thin lace of sadness in her voice, but that was it. No signs of any deceptive or alluring tactics. Not even fear. Just pure honesty.

Did she not know that she brought one of the most dangerous criminals of Japan into her home?

Well, I'm definitely in a surprising situation. Deku thought. Though he knew better than to be completely off his guard. "Can I help you set up the table~?" He asked.

"You can, but will you be okay? Your side must still hurt." Luna replied, still oblivious to anything suspicious while glancing at his patched side.

"I'll be okay." Deku said. He pretended to pop the pill into his mouth. Turning his face to the side, he dramatically put the pill to the side of his mouth and pushed the pill downward while flexing his fingers as the pill grazed by his cheek. He then drank the full glass of water.

Luna bit her bottom lip to hold in a giggle at the way the boy took the pill. She turned away and went to grab the stuff.

Deku helped the girl prep the table, grabbing the plates and some napkins along with glasses. Once everything was set, they both put their hands in prayer position and said their thanks before eating. Deku wasn't too worried about being poisoned. He deliberately grabbed the plates in front of the girl right after she set the portions of pancakes on them. Anyone who was trying to poison someone would absolutely insist on bringing the plates to the table and make that person sit in the spot with that plate. She didn't do that.

"Thank you for…helping me." Deku said while eating the food, which was delicious. No one had made him a home cooked meal in so long.

"You're welcome!" Luna practically exclaimed with a closed-eyed smile before taking another bite of her food.

She noticeably stopped chewing for a moment, catching Deku's eye. Her face showed realization. A twisted smile was about to return to the pro villain's face, wondering if she was in fact eating from the wrong plate. Perhaps she did try to poison him after all?

But the girl instantly swallowed and locked eyes with the boy. "I am so sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Luna Solace." She said with a sweet smile and a small blush of embarrassment.

Deku blinked at what she said. Another indication that she might not know him? To be fair, he didn't exactly recognize her or her name, either. The last name 'Solace' didn't sound Japanese. Deku gave a thoughtful hum before returning with a warm smile. "My name is Izuku Midoriya, but you can call me Deku." He introduced himself.

Luna giggled at the endearing pronunciation. "That's a cute nickname." She complimented. "It's lovely to meet you."

A larger redness than before spread over Deku's face, the line of his mouth turning crooked. His usually calm heart rate suddenly increased.

Not an answer Deku expected.

No one had ever said that to him before.

If anything, he was laughed at or criticized for having a word in his name that meant 'worthless'.

A crooked grin spread on his red cheeks as he cast his eyes downward, a hand finding its way to his forehead and gripping some green strands. "T-T-Thank y-you. Nice to meet you, too." Deku said, unintentionally stuttering this time.

Luna smiled and continued eating.

In case anyone's wondering, the song Luna was singing is called Heaven (Candlelight Mix) by DJ Sammy and Yanou. There's a hyped version, too.
