OoOoO—

Jujutsu Kaisen by Gege Akutami

One Piece by Eichiiro Oda

Genre : Adventure, Action, Friendship, and NO ROMANCE

Summary: Destiny always has a unique way of leading each person to reach the peak, but not all humans can reach that peak even though fate has shown the way. Zen'in Maki never thought she would be thrown into another world when she felt death would come to her. However, is it just a coincidence? Or is it the Destiny of the Universe that will guide her?

Chapter 2: A Fairy Tale Above the Clouds

OoOoO—

Maki's eyes bulged when she witnessed this phenomenon. Knock-up stream, she thought it was just a term for an ordinary storm. She didn't expect it to be a massive explosion from the bottom of the sea that gave them a boost all the way up to the sky. However, what surprised her even more was that they were now sailing on the clouds.

"Is this normal in this world?" Maki muttered.

Seeing everyone amazed and flabbergasted by the sight before them, she was sure it was their first time seeing the sea of clouds.

"It's so… white!" shouted Luffy.

"How can we sail in the clouds?" Nami asked.

Luffy, who heard it, had a surprised face.

"Of course, we can. They're just clouds, after all."

"No, that's impossible," not Nami, but Zoro, Sanji, and an animal replied.

There was a lot of commotion after that. Like Ussop, who seemed to lack oxygen due to the extreme altitude and fainted, but what caught Maki's attention was the one who treated him was actually an animal.

"This little deer can talk and do a human's job? Is that some kind of summoning or puppet technique?"

'Somehow, he looks different to Panda, though?' added Maki.

Nobody gave an answer. Because if someone had to explain, it would be more polite if the person concerned did it himself. However, the deer Maki was referring to only looked at her with trembling eyes.

"You... you said that I was a deer?"

Maki raised her eyebrows in confusion.

"Well, aren't you?"

"Yes… I am a deer!" he replied while sobbing.

Maki didn't understand that reaction. She turned to Nami to ask for an explanation.

"Ahaha…. He's just moved because this is the first time anyone has recognised him directly as a deer. People usually call him a raccoon."

"You don't look anything like a raccoon, though?" Maki asked.

The fawn wiped away the and then looked straight at the girl from another world.

"I know, right? I'm a deer, right? By the way, my name's Chopper. Welcome to the team!"

Maki just nodded at the introduction and welcoming greeting. She still hadn't decided what steps she should take next. She didn't have the slightest clue about how she could return to her world. She didn't even have any information or knowledge about this world. The finest wrong step could have fatal consequences.

Maki could jump off this ship and wander alone to look for clues. However, that was a stupid idea. She wasn't a naive girl who thought she would discover something just by reading a few books in the library. Forget about libraries. She was even sure that if texts about other worlds existed, the information would be closely guarded and considered a state secret.

Not to mention the geopolitical and the power of each individual in this world.

'This is just my guess, but the average strength of each individual here may be higher than in my world.'

She was alone in this world. She couldn't rely on others, let alone luck, to survive. In her world alone, Maki wasn't even among the strongest creatures. Even though she hated it, it was a bitter reality she had to swallow. If a person of her level carelessly wandered around in an unfamiliar world, it would probably be the end for her.

For that reason, Maki would now think carefully about all the available options. At least until they docked at the next island, she would probably stay aboard this ship for a while. Moreover, Maki was also quite curious about several ideas Robin hadn't had time to explain, but she said they were worth considering.

Maki looked at Robin working with Luffy to catch Ussop, who was diving too deep into the clouds.

'Robin seems like a very knowledgeable woman. But the problem is, can I believe it?' Maki thought.

Everything in her head was speculative. Possibilities that could happen, but maybe not. Moreover, even though Robin and Zoro looked like people who were hard to trust, the other members seemed honest.

'Well, I'll try to appraise them on this occasion.'

Luffy managed to pull Ussop back to the ship, thanks to Robin's help. However, he was not alone. A giant octopus also followed him and appeared on the surface of the clouds.

"Kyaa!"

"Gyaa!"

Nami and Chopper screamed in fear. However, Zoro quickly rushed to the octopus and slashed one of the tentacles, causing the octopus to escape and return into the clouds. Not only that, a giant purple snake also appeared, but Sanji quickly overcame it.

"So, animals also exist in the clouds in this world?" Maki asked.

"It seems better to think of this place as an ocean rather than clouds," replied Nami.

Right after that sentence, Ussop shouted again. However, it was because he felt something wriggling under his clothes this time. But it was just another cloud creature after Chopper checked it out.

Ignoring their unique behaviour, Nami, Robin, and Zoro entered the discussion session. They discussed the state of fauna in the ocean clouds and how to sail to Sky Island. Meanwhile, Maki, who didn't know what to do, walked towards the wall and leaned against it with her arms crossed.

However, not long after, Chopper, looking for the nearby island using binoculars, screamed when he saw something.

"Ship! There's a ship! There was a ship, but the ship is no longer there!"

"What do you mean?" asked Sanji.

"There's a bull running from a rectangular cloud! It's charging from over there! This is bad!"

Even though they had received such an explanation, Chopper's words were still difficult to understand.

"I don't get it. Calm down!" Zoro said.

Sanji was also near Zoro and was no less confused than the green man.

"What's he trying to say?"

Maki, who had only been silently watching their interaction, stepped forward.

"Whatever it is, it looks like something bad's coming. There may be a fight."

Maki increased her guard. Even though she was still reluctant to fight, she couldn't help it. She could just let the people who seemed to be the main fighters in this group handle it. However, once again, she didn't want to just rely on others without doing something.

Curious about what Chopper saw, Ussop decided to see what was heading towards their ship.

"A human? Someone's coming! It runs in the clouds!"

The person Ussop was referring to was someone with the stature of an adult man. His face wasn't visible because it was covered by a mask with large horns and fangs. However, there was a unique characteristic, a pair of small wings on its back.

The man sped off at high speed with a bazooka in his right hand and a shield in his left. He had arrived at the ship's deck in a very short time.

"Hey, stop! What's your problem?" shouted Sanji.

The masked man didn't reply. He stared intently at everyone on the ship, scanning for anyone who could be their main fighters. However, his unfriendly actions made Sanji, Zoro and Luffy annoyed.

"He wants to fight."

"He's got guts."

"What're you looking at?"

Despite being faced with them, the man didn't flinch at all. He quickly paralyses Sanji, Zoro, and Luffy at once. It took everyone on board by surprise.

The masked man sped off towards his next target as if the trio weren't enough. From the start, he aimed to knock out the foremost fighters. Because of that, when he was finished with those three, he immediately went to the place of the person he believed was one of the main fighting forces of this ship.

"What?"

Maki was surprised when the man rushed towards her. He quickly arrived before her with his right foot ready to reach the left side of her head. However, with her excellent reflexes, she caught the leg and gripped it tightly. And then Maki turned her body to the man's inner side. Her current position was parallel to him and more or less facing the same direction as him. Or, in short, the man was now on Maki's right side.

With this advantageous position, Maki tackled her opponent's leg, which still supported his body.

It was a powerful tackle, strong enough to break her opponent's balance in one try. Losing his footing and with his leg in Maki's grip, she quickly slammed the man down.

Not stopping there, Maki twisted the man's knee roughly, causing a loud "crack" sound. That way, the man's movements were automatically neutralised. However, the girl felt that it wasn't enough. She then switched to aiming for his head.

Maki pulled the mask, removing it forcefully. Using all her strength, she punched the man right in the jaw. It was a tough blow. Even Maki herself didn't expect it to be that strong. It was so strong that the man's jaw was crushed entirely, and even the wooden floor beneath his head had a hole.

"No, not the floor! It has just been replaced with high-quality wood in Arabasta!" Ussop shouted.

"Hey, that's not what you should be concerned about!" said Nami.

The short-haired girl then rushed towards Maki, followed by several other people. Nami and Ussop prepared their respective weapons, while Robin prepared by crossing her arms in front of her so she could activate her technique as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, the main trio who had been overthrown also gathered, but with gasping breaths.

"He's… dead," said Chopper.

They were all shocked when they heard that statement. Even Maki was no exception.

"W-what? She killed him with just one blow?" said Ussop in surprise, " She's a monster! There's no way a girl can kill someone in one hit?!"

"Well, if you go to the New World, you'll find women who're even more vicious," replied Robin.

Maki didn't heed Ussop's words. She wasn't bothered, even though he called her a monster. In fact, she would take it as a compliment. Robin's statement that other monsters were out there confirmed Maki's previous speculation that this world was dangerous.

However, in this case, she didn't expect to kill someone with one blow. Actually, Maki could do it. She could kill a normal human with a punch in her original world. But it would be a different story if she faced a jujutsu sorcerer. Meanwhile, Maki believed that the average durability of humans in this world was higher than in her original world. The reason was that even when they were still in the lower ocean, she saw sea monsters lifted by the knock-up stream.

If the fauna that threatened humanity was that strong, it made sense that the bodies of the humans in this world were more physically formed and stronger than those in her world.

However, putting that aside, Maki was quite surprised by the feat she had just achieved. Unfortunately, the look on the girl's face was misinterpreted by several people who saw her, one of whom was Nami.

"Are you okay? You don't need to feel guilty about killing him."

"No, that's not it. After all, I've killed people several times in my world. It's just that I didn't expect him to die because I just wanted to stun him and get some information out of his mouth," Maki replied.

"Oh, you're really thoughtful, huh?"

After saying that, Nami looked to the other side, where the three boys were gathered.

"Meanwhile, how could you guys just lose like that?!"

"Tsk. That was embarrassing. My body can't move properly for some reason," Sanji replied.

Hearing this testimony, Robin also issued her analysis.

"I'm sure it's because of the low oxygen levels up here."

"Really? Well, I feel a little better now," said Zoro, who was still busy catching his breath.

Before anyone could respond, Ussop shouted, and that caught their attention.

"Hey, there's someone else coming."

The main trio immediately prepared for further battles that might occur.

"Is that this guy's partner?"

"I won't be caught off guard this time."

"Yosh, come here!"

However, Nami, who confirmed that the figure was using binoculars, gave a different opinion.

"That's an old man. He wears clothes that are much different from this man."

"You don't think he's not this guy's partner just because he has different clothes, do you?" Zoro asked.

"This man was wearing what seemed to be traditional clothing. If that person wears different clothes, it's reasonable to conclude that he's not from the same group," replied Robin.

Zoro glared at the woman.

"I understand your logic. But that doesn't mean he doesn't have bad intentions."

"I want to say we need to be prepared, but don't just attack immediately. Besides, depending on the situation, we could get some information."

Hearing the conversation between the two people, Luffy stepped forward with a confident smile.

"The point is, it doesn't matter if we beat him up as long as it's not excessive, right?"

Nami sighed upon hearing that. As if it had become her routine, she would tackle Luffy whenever the guy was offside.

"That's not what it means, you idiot."

They all waited quietly for the uninvited guest. Even though no one expected a showdown, none lowered their guard.

It didn't take long until the person in question arrived at their ship. He came more or less the same way: flying above the clouds and jumping onto the deck. And at that moment, they could see the figure clearly.

The uninvited guest was an old man with a long, bushy white beard. He wore full silver armour and a helmet that only showed his face with a red cloak on his back. In his hand was a lance as his weapon.

The old man scanned the surroundings and found a person lying down with his jaw shattered and his eyes barely showing any irises.

"Oh, is he dead?"

"Well, yeah, but who are you, mister?" Nami asked.

"I would be the knight of the sky. All living things under the clouds are the blue sea citizens. In other words, you come to a blue ocean, right?"

"Yeah, that's right," replied Luffy briefly.

The old man then looked at the group one by one. Initially, he wanted to save the group to promote his business. However, seeing them able to overcome the raider made him think that the group he came from had capable fighters. But those old, experienced eyes could still catch loopholes he could exploit.

"You must feel cramped, right? Naturally, this place is 7000 meters above sea level. The average body of those living in the blue sea can't handle this environment."

"Ah, yeah, but I think I'm getting used to it," Luffy replied.

"Yup, it's become fairly easy to breathe," added Zoro, who was then given a nod by the entire crew.

The sky knight was a little surprised to hear such a direct rebuttal. However, before he could reply, someone interrupted him first.

"Wait, guys. Did you really lack oxygen earlier? I don't feel any difference at all," said Maki.

And hearing that, the old man couldn't believe it even more.

"Hey, I can still understand if your friends say they're getting used to it. However, it's impossible for the blue sea residents not to feel any changes here."

"Oh really?" Maki replied briefly.

Maki wasn't satisfied with that answer. However, she didn't pursue it too far. If no one understood the condition from the start, then no one could give her an answer. Even so, Maki still had her own hypothesis.

'First, my punches became stronger than before. Second, I didn't feel any discomfort even though I was at an altitude of 7000 meters.'

Maki pondered the condition of her own body. However, that was when she realised something.

'Wait, since when did my body become fit and healthy? I was completely battered when I faced that cursed octopus. I'm even sure that some of my internal organs were badly injured, and some of my ribs were broken.'

Maki closed her eyes, trying to feel the other changes in her body.

'Huh? All my cursed energy… disappeared? My dried-up cursed energy pool, now completely gone? How could that be?'

A unique incident that Maki was not aware of.

Heavenly Restriction Physically Gifted was a unique phenomenon in the world of jujutsu. It was like a binding vow that was forced on an individual. Sacrificing the cursed energy that would-be jujutsu sorcerers should have would give them superhuman physical strength in return.

That blessing provided instant benefits. However, that power wasn't considered anything special in the jujutsu society. Even regular sorcerers could strengthen their bodies using cursed energy reinforcement. However, all that was refuted when a savage named Zen'in Toji was born into the world.

Zen'in Toji was the first and only case in history where Heavenly Restriction completely took away all of his cursed energy until nothing was left. Instead, he gained a physique that made him a true superhuman. This phenomenon was also called Heavenly Restriction Zero Cursed Energy. He was a powerful figure, even strong enough to easily wipe out the entire Zen'in clan if he wanted to.

So, what about Maki? Actually, no one knew how heavenly restriction could take all the cursed energy without any residue, like in Toji's case. Moreover, because Toji had humiliated the clan in such a way, his records were unknown to the younger generation like Maki. Due to this, the girl found it difficult to conclude how the remnants of her cursed energy completely disappeared.

However, little did she know the only reason that happened was that she arrived in this world.

Maki was the twin sister of Zen'in Mai. They were identical twins. They come from the same zygote, which then split into two. In the world, fate considered identical twins to be the same individual, the same body, but with two different souls. Because of that, they would always share things and be together without exception.

The fates between Maki and Mai would be tied together. Maki would always share her sister's fate as long as Mai was around. If Mai didn't desire change to become strong, then Maki would never reach her full potential, no matter how hard she tried. Since they were seen as one unit, they must also develop in the same harmony. Or if that wasn't the case, Mai must be willing to sacrifice for Maki so that there was only one soul left and Maki would be utterly free from the cursed energy.

In other words, Mai played a sacrificial role for Maki from the start. However, what if it turned out that travelling to another world incident that Maki experienced actually opened up other possibilities?

If you draw a straight line, the key to evolving Maki's heavenly restriction to the next level didn't lie in sacrifice. Instead, it depended on how Maki's soul could be freed from Mai, who was holding it. In other words, when Maki transferred to this world, her soul automatically let go of all ties to her old world. Literally, Maki could be considered a person who left everything behind, including the remnants of her cursed energy.

And that was the origin of how she could get the zero cursed energy.

However, the question was, how would Maki develop? Was Toji the pinnacle of Heavenly Restriction Zero Cursed Energy? No one knew, and only fate would answer.

However, one thing was certain. Heavenly Restriction, Zero Cursed Energy, was something that violated the rules of the world. It was an irregular who was free from fate. Many people think that it wasn't too different from the case of heavenly restriction in general, but with a buff that was several times stronger. Nevertheless, many people didn't understand that it was the rarest phenomenon in the world, even rarer than the Gojo clan's Six Eyes.

If the user of Six Eyes was destined to be someone who possessed everything without limits, Heavenly Restriction Zero Cursed Energy was beyond the world's order. It was a phenomenon that couldn't be explained by jujutsu sorcery, let alone physics. Zero Cursed Energy was indeed like an otherworldly phenomenon. So, even though Zen'in Toji was proven to be one of the most powerful humans ever, no one could confirm whether he was at his peak or not.

That also applied to Maki. With her zero-cursed energy body, people couldn't predict how far or how much her potential would develop.

OoOoO—

Some time had passed since the arrival of the old man named Gan Fall, who claimed to be a sky knight. There wasn't much substantive talk in that period. However, they still got some vital information from Gan Fall. One of them was the route to Sky Island, which turned out to be another route that was safer than the one they took.

This information made several weak-hearted people, such as Nami, Ussop, and Chopper, immediately vent their frustration at Luffy. However, what meant to them the most was the special whistle given by the man. At first glance, it did look like an ordinary whistle. However, it was like an SOS, so he would help the straw hat group if necessary. But the old man only gave a free price on the first request, and he set a rate that could be said to be very expensive.

There was nothing to worry about. Regardless of how he rated future requests, free stuff was still the best, even if it only applied once.

After that, the group continued their journey. They stopped momentarily to analyse the situation while Luffy, Ussop, and Chopper played in the giant cloud. Thanks to that, they could find the gate to Sky Island. The fee to pass through the gate was very expensive, but the grandmother who kept the gate let them through for free. However, it was very suspicious.

Whatever it was, this was where they landed. A sky island called Skypea.

Almost the entire crew was currently playing on a white beach surrounded by clouds, except for three people who were still standing on the ship, namely Maki, Zoro, and Robin.

"Ms. Navigator looks very happy, doesn't she?"

Robin's words weren't directed at anyone. However, the man with short green hair nearby couldn't help but have to answer, or the atmosphere would become very awkward.

"Successfully land a ship on this island above the clouds. That was her greatest achievement so far."

"Yeah, you're right. I can understand that feeling. Even for an archaeologist like me, I always thought of all stories about sky islands as fairy tales until I saw them with my own eyes."

Maki, who had just come from the girls' room to change clothes, responded to Robin's words.

"You still think it's a fairy tale even though you've read the documents about the sky island?"

"Well, you might consider that my naive side," Robin replied and then looked at Maki, "By the way, those clothes suit you, Ms. Otherworlder."

Because her jujutsu uniform was soaked, Nami lent Maki a change of clothes, considering that their sizes were not much different except for the chest.

They were dark blue trousers combined with black boots. Meanwhile, for the top, Maki wore a black sleeveless t-shirt covered with a blood-red jacket combined with white on the sleeves.

Maki was silent for a few seconds at Robin's compliment, but it wasn't because she was blushing or flattered. Instead, she still felt uncomfortable with the nickname Robin gave her. However, Maki ignored that and asked something she had been holding back for a long time.

"Before, you said you had some suggestions for me, right?"

Robin smiled at the question.

"Well, sort of. But I don't guarantee you'll get the answer you want. It's just that if inter-dimensional travel really exists, if it's part of the mystery of this world, then there are only two people who can explain it."

Maki was silent while swallowing her saliva. Meanwhile, Zoro, who had no interest in this chat, decided to join in because he couldn't completely eliminate his suspicions about them. It may seem impolite to eavesdrop on other people's conversations. However, both Maki and Robin paid him no mind at all.

Seeing the reaction of those who were listening seriously, Robin continued her words.

"The first is Vegapunk. He's the most genius scientist in the world. Unfortunately, he has many hideouts scattered all over the place. Apart from that, he received direct protection from the Word Government, and his whereabouts became one of the top secrets in the world."

"In other words, it's impossible for ordinary people to meet him?" Maki asked.

Robin shook her head slowly at the question.

"Not really. If you can attract his attention, it might be possible for him to meet you. However, To attract his attention, you must reveal your identity as a person from another world to the whole world and prove that you're the real deal."

"But, if I do that, the World Government will most likely hunt me down, right?"

"Yeah, more or less," replied Robin.

Before they docked at Skypea, Maki had received much information about this world from the straw hat group, from devil fruit, world order, and the purpose of this small group's sailing.

Especially for geopolitics, basically, the world had lots of sovereign countries. However, there was a special organisation above these countries called the World Government. Functionally, it was like the United Nations, which accommodated the aspirations of its member countries. However, in practice, the World Government was more like an extension of those who occupy the highest hierarchy in the world.

That group called themselves the highest nobles in the world, heavenly dragons who rule over heaven and earth. They were Tenryuubito.

"So, what's the second one?" Maki asked.

Robin didn't answer immediately. It took her a few seconds to form the words she wanted.

"Other people who might be able to give you clues are people from the past."

"What? You're not joking or deliberately trying to trick me, right?"

Robin took a slow breath. Maki's reaction was precisely what she expected.

"No, of course. If the people of the void century know something about dimensional thingy, it makes more sense why the World Government would chase you down and even kill you if your status were discovered."

"Please elaborate," Maki replied briefly.

That would be a long explanation, perhaps. As such, Robin put as much oxygen as possible into her chest.

"There's a piece of history hidden by the World Government. That was history 800 years ago, and we archaeologists call it the Void Century. Honestly, I don't even know what existed then."

There was a long pause when Robin said that sentence. There was doubt in her eyes about whether she should tell them the truth. However, after some reflection, she told some of her findings during this bitter time in her life instead.

"No…. Maybe you could say that I know a small part, a very, very small part, of that lost history. But I can't tell you. However, what I know is very limited, and the information is very incomplete. What's certain is that I am sure those people in the past have succeeded in uncovering all the secrets of this world."

Zoro, who had just been silently listening to them, was intrigued to ask Robin a question.

"And how can you be that sure? If it was history that was hidden even by the World Government itself, how did you know about it?"

"I read on the poneglyph."

"Poneglyphs?" Zoro muttered.

Robin nodded with her usual flat face. However, her eyes looked more serious.

"It's an inscription left by them. There are only 30 poneglyphs throughout the world. But because history is a dynamic, the historical facts can change at any time depending on existing findings. So, it doesn't rule out the possibility of more poneglyph than I just said."

"And you've read all 30 inscriptions?" Maki asked.

Robin shook her head slowly.

"No, I only read three poneglyphs. Regarding the number of 30 I mentioned just now, I got that from the information written on one of the poneglyphs I read."

Maki nodded slowly while pinching her chin. But suddenly, a question crossed her mind.

"Wait, hold on. If they want to hide this history, why don't they just destroy those poneglyphs?"

"Yeah, and what the hell's a poneglyph anyway?" added Zoro.

"Poneglyphs are indestructible objects. I don't know what materials the people back then used, but even attacks from the strongest devil fruit wouldn't be able to destroy it."

Maki was silent for a moment. When she heard the words "indestructible", it made her remember something.

'Is that some kind of cursed object? Is the creation based on a binding vow? No, that's impossible. This world has a different logic and source of power than jujutsu sorcery.'

Maki put aside all those baseless speculations. She cursed herself for being distracted by that thought because she missed a few words from Robin, who answered Zoro's question. However, it was fortunate that Robin had yet to enter into the real substance of this conversation. Or, more precisely, the woman with long black hair was about to discuss something that both Maki and Zoro wanted to know the most.

"Back to business. If dimensional travel is part of this world's mystery, maybe people from 800 years ago have a clue. I'm not sure, but it's worth considering."

"I see. But how can I find all the poneglyphs?" Maki asked.

Finding out about the poneglyphs would take a very long time, and it wasn't impossible that Maki would clash with the World Government. However, it was relatively safer than contacting Vegapunk directly. Unfortunately, she didn't know yet if the inscription used a language and script different from that used by humans in this era.

Actually, Robin could have given Maki a manual on how to decipher it. However, of course, many considerations made Robin hesitate. But she was a smart girl, so she already had the solution.

"I don't think you should look for all the poneglyphs. If you get to the island where One Piece is located, the place where Gold Roger left all his treasures, I'm sure all the world's mysteries are also there. If you agree to these conditions, I can help you get to that place."

"Wait. Isn't One Piece something you've been chasing all this time?" Maki asked.

Zoro was also surprised to hear Robin's sudden words.

"Do you know the route to reach One Piece?"

Robin shook her head slowly.

"I don't know. But there's a way to get a route and a map to the island."

Robin took a deep breath and let it out slowly before continuing.

"Of the many poneglyphs that exist, there are four different poneglyphs called Road Poneglyphs. Each has a unique code, which is said to be a piece of the map to One Piece."

"So, we just need to collect the four Road Poneglyphs?" Zoro asked.

"Sounds easy, right?" said Robin, "However, the reality isn't that simple. About 22 years ago, Gold Roger's words resounded worldwide, creating a great era of pirates. In that period, it's not surprising that the Road Poneglyphs were owned by the rulers of the New World."

"In other words, whether it's contacting Vegapunk directly or investigating Void Century, you're saying everything is fraught with danger, right?" Maki confirmed.

Robin nodded in agreement.

"That's how it is. However, we all have the same goal of achieving One Piece. Besides that, even though they have different research fields, scientists and archaeologists are researchers. Vegapunk researches science to support civilisation in the future, and I, this group, search for One Piece while solving the biggest secret during the Void Century. So, it's not impossible that one day in the future, this group will cross paths with Vegapunk."

What Robin said made sense. Even though several alternative solutions crossed Maki's mind, in the end, they failed by themselves. These things include going on an adventure alone or joining a larger group.

'If One Piece was the sexiest treasure in this world, and the Road Poneglyphs were owned by the strongest people, this treasure should have been discovered long ago. However, the fact that the status quo has continued for 22 years means they don't have what it takes to achieve One Piece.'

That was the big question in Maki's head. She wasn't a naive girl. The world's most influential people and incumbents couldn't destroy the status quo. In other words, she, who was just a person from another world and a nobody, couldn't reach that place alone. Joining another group also won't help at all.

'Moreover, Robin said she could help to reach that place. In other words, Robin may be the final puzzle or the key they don't have.'

From the clues she gathered in the conversation, Maki could conclude that it wasn't about the fleet's strength but rather the knowledge only Robin had. Knowing that fact meant Maki had no other choice left. However, several things still bothered her that she wanted to convey to the woman.

"Say. Why do you want me to join this group so badly? I can understand why Luffy insisted on recruiting me because he's basically an idiot who does things because it looks fun. But you're different. You're educated and have logical thinking."

Maki paused her sentence and looked at Zoro. But it was only a few seconds until her gaze returned to Robin.

"Actually, it would be easier to understand if you reacted like Zoro. He was annoying, but it made sense."

"Mind your words, you asshole!" Zoro burst out when Maki suddenly said his name.

Zoro felt annoyed when Maki just ignored him. However, he had to admit that what Maki said was justified. Well, his relationship with Robin wasn't very good from the start. After all, the woman was his former enemy. However, he couldn't sit still when he saw Robin, who was usually very thorough and acted passively in some matters, suddenly actively invited Maki to join the group.

Feeling the gazes of the two people still remaining on the ship with her, Robin didn't feel pressured. She smiled her usual sweet smile.

The gentle wind made her hair dance. Sometimes, it also brought dust, which then got into her eyes. It wasn't a big deal. On the contrary, this non-uniformity creates a calming harmony for Robin.

The woman stared far away at the beach made of clouds. She watched the pirate members play happily without having any burdens. She wasn't the type of person who was active in outdoor activities and preferred to relax in her room while reading books. However, seeing how they enjoy life gave her positive energy that warmed her soul.

'Why are you so persistent in recruiting me?' was the question Robin received from Maki. There was no particular reason, actually. However, she just wanted to see how the world would react when Luffy, a person with the will of D, met Maki, a girl from another world.

"Why, you said?" Robin replied while looking at Maki, "I don't know, but I feel like it would be an interesting story, that's all."

To Be Continued—

Author Note: First of all, maybe some of you will think that the person Maki killed was the Shandian leader. But not. He should be attacking them in canon, but in my fic, the one who attacked them was just another cockroach. So, it won't affect the overall story and is just for a "bait" or one of the clues to make Maki aware of the changes in her body.

The second is about zero cursed energy. If you ask why I chose the Shibuya version of Maki if, in the end, she gets the body of zero cursed energy right away, the answer is simple. I wanted to propose an idea about another way to awaken Maki's potential besides Mai's sacrifice. So, this is a universe where Maki and Mai don't have to make sacrifices for each other's interests. Honestly, when I read Good Will Event, I felt that Maki and Mai deserved a better world where they didn't have to sacrifice each other, even though they often had different thoughts.

And for those who are confused by the explanation of how we get zero cursed energy, I will explain it again briefly. Simply put, by Maki being transferred to another world, she also indirectly left all her bonds and curses behind. Why? Because the world Maki lives in has a different concept, and the curse energy cannot reach where Maki is now. Because of this, Maki's body completely adapted to becoming zero cursed energy. As for why I say his full potential is yet to be seen and said Toji has yet to reach it, I'll briefly touch on it, maybe in chapter 5 or 6.

As for Maki's goals, it's made clear here, she'll find a way home, whatever it takes. So, will it end after that? Of course not. So, I hope we are all given blessings and health to follow Maki's journey until she returns to her world and what will await her after that.

By the way, have you seen the additional content from volume 24? It was very interesting because Gege actually showed us that Maki directly tanked the lightning rain caused by Sukuna's Nue. Moreover, she really came out without the slightest scratch. On the other hand, Takaba's lower body was completely torn apart by it, which despite being able to recover quickly due to his OP CT. What I want to say is, Maki really showed that even a single shower of lightning wasn't enough to stop her. And this gives me a breath of fresh air because I don't have to hold back what happens when she meets Enel later. So, I have canon evidence that I can use to write more freely.

Oh yes, before you expect more, I'll say it here. I will skip some arcs, but that doesn't mean those events never happened. It happened, but I won't show it in detail. I will only write a brief narrative about what happened in the arc that I skipped. Why? because the world of One Piece is too wide and I don't just plan to stop after Maki finds her way home. There is still a continuation of the story waiting for her. So, I want to make this One Piece saga shorter. The main reason is that I don't want to lose motivation because I'm too detailed and follow Oda's way of writing too much.
