"Admiral, a Fleet of Skrrr ships has arrived," reported Lieutenant Vortik. "They appear to bet targeting not only our ships but the planet, its' self."
Episode 12: Battles
Cyranus System (former 12 Colonies, now Cylon Home system) USS Enterprise
Captain's log: Stardate 58322.0 - The Battlestar Galactica has arrived to back us up. We are currently involved in negotiations with the Cylons that chose not to join our Federation. They have conquered Aquarion and are trying to persuade us to let them keep it. Letting them keep even a cold barren world like Aquarion goes against what my heart tells me. But even with Galactica, we don't have enough forces to take on that many Basestars. It doesn't help that the enemy Cylons appeared to have been helped by what appears to be the Shadows that the Vorlons warned us of. And to make things worse, my Communications Officer has obtained through her Borg connections information that the Shadows have also attacked Visalayan, the Medeusan home-world. Admiral Sart has brought the Talosian Fleet to their aid. But apparently the Talosian and Medeusan ships have suffered as great a losses as our Cylons have.
"Come on! It's not that hard! All you have to do to make peace is let us have a little ice world that is barely habitable," chided John Cavil, the model One leader of the non-Federation Cylons.
"If we let you have a foothold in the Cyranus system, what's to stop you for attacking one of the other 11 Colonies?" Snarled Captain Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace.
"That does seem to be the logical outcome of submitting to their demands," mused Commander Ston, who was one of the Vulcans that that had originally come to this time and universe onboard the Argos.
"Dammit Starbuck, we can't let them have one of our worlds," growled Doctor Leptus. "If we appease them here they'll just come back for more!"
Doctor Leptus was a Tarquinian, one of the logic-rejecting Vulcans that would have been the founders of the Romulans if a Federation Starship from another universe had not persuaded them to settle on New Caprica, which they re-named Tarquiaus.
"Let us try and discuss them more calmly," suggested Councilor Leek.
She had been an Oracle on Libran before the second Cylon war. After the Colonials joined the Federation and settled on Kobol, she had joined starfleet.
"That's what we are here for," agreed the model Five Cylon, as the Four nodded.
"Frak it!" scoffed Starbuck before she pulled up her old Colonial pistol, loaded with explosive bullets and fired it at Cavil's head. She then turned to the Four and did the same to him.
"Wait!" Yelled Five, just before he disintegrated.
Commander Ston had drawn his phaser, already set on the highest setting, when he saw what his Captain had done and was backing her up.
Starbuck, pushed the intercom and set it to ship-wide so she could announce: "Red Alert, Shields up! All hands prepare for battle!" As soon as she let go of the intercom button she started running out of the room, heading for the bridge. "We've got to attack before he downloads!"
USS Molok
Admirals log: Stardate 58322.0 - We have been boarded by the Skrrr, and insectoid race that are physically as powerful as Cylon Centurions. They are a primitive and hostile race.
"Everyone arm yourselves," commanded Admiral Sart. Being a Talosian, the Admiral did not like the Colonial pistols, so he went to locker on the left side of the Bridge and armed him self with a phaser.
The other half of the Bridge crew had gone to the locker on the right side and armed themselves with Colonial style pistols loaded with explosive bullets.
Between the telepathic abilities of the Talosian and Medeusan crew-members and the hive mind connectivity of the Borg crew-members, most people on the ship were aware of the location of the Skrrr boarders at all times. So when they came through the door onto the Bridge, the entire Bridge Crew were pointing weapons at the doors. As soon as the door opened the began firing. Half of them were firing explosive rounds that usually would stop a Skrrr Worker. The other half were firing phasers set on the highest setting, which would disintegrate the Skrrr on contact.
It was a difficult fight, one the Skrrr even got close enough to injure the 1st Officer, a Borg named Commander Two. But in the end, all of the Skrrr boarders were killed.
USS Enterprise
"Target the Base ships with photon torpedoes," commanded Starbuck, as she and Ston entered the Bridge.
"All torpedoes targeted at individual Base ship," confirmed Lieutenant Kalven, a Cylon Centurion.
"And . . . Fire!" Commanded Starbuck.
"Four Base ship destroyed," reported Ston. "Galactica is launching Vipers . . . Surviving Base Ships are launching Raiders. Shadow ships are turning towards both us and Galactica."
The ship shook as the anti-proton beam of the Shadow ship hit them.
"Shields at 83%" reported Lieutenant Kalven
"Evasive Maneuvers, pattern 6," commanded Starbuck. "Target more Base ships . .. And . . . Fire! Keep firing at will!"
"Four more Base ships destroyed," reported Ston. "Galactica has been hit by Shadow ship . . . damage to the armor, but Galactica is still operating. They appear to be attempting to block the Shadow beam weapon with their anti missile cannon."
On the screen they could see that the cannon slugs were disintegrating on contact with the energy beam from the Shadow ship. But when they raked across the Shadow Battle Crab, the solid slugs cut right through the ship severing one of the spines. When that happened, the Shadow ships all phased back into hyperspace and fled.
"All remaining hostile base ships have been destroyed," reported Ston.
