Alright then, peeps! Got a new idea for you! Pretty similar to the last one I had, but different in its own ways!
Sanctuary
(Inspired by Re:Zero)
One day, in the middle of the lands of Vale, a a strange structure suddenly blinks into existence, and RWBY and JNPR are sent to investigate.
It is a town of stone houses and grand halls, overgrown by vines and foliage, as if it had all been there for hundreds- Thousands of years.
And it has a single occupant.
A lone guardian by the name of Byzan, a person so old that she claims to have known Ozma when he was young.
And she claims to be the guardian of the Sanctuary, and the holder of the fifth relic of the gods.
Suddenly, a barrier comes over the Sanctuary, and the team is split into two halves, with one half being trapped inside of the Sanctuary, and the other half unable to get in and rescue their friends.
Now, the two halves are forced to separate and go their own ways, with the four members of their joint team outside working around the clock to try and breach through the Sanctuary barrier and rescue their teammates, whilst also learning so much more about the Sanctuary and its contents from the likes of Ozpin, Jinn of the Relic of Knowledge, and even Salem herself, whilst the people inside of the Sanctuary are taught of the Sanctuary's secrets from the viewpoint of the ancient guardian, Byzan, and learn that they must complete a series of trials in order to unlock the barrier themselves, and free the Sanctuary and the fifth relic within its belly.
They are the Four Trials of Existence, and they will break their participants before they are able to succeed.
But there is more to the Sanctuary then meets the eye. The spirits of the deal linger and haunt the stone walls of the ancient, yet new place. Ghosts occupy the homes of the Sanctuary, and continuously make themselves known to those trapped within the barrier of the dark place.
And outside of the barrier, the other half of the two teams realise that there is a much more dangerous, much more deadly presence then the Grimm surrounding this mysterious place.
Because something is on its way to the Sanctuary. Something dark, something ancient, and something evil.
Something more frightening than the Grimm.
Something which desires to have the power of the fifth relic all for themselves...
The description of this one is very vague, I will admit. However, in this sense- This being an idea for a story, and not an actual story itself- It's probably a good thing, seeing that it's vague enough for you guys to write your own interpretations.
